This document summarizes research on analyzing the effect of delaminations on the vibration characteristics of composite materials. It presents both experimental and numerical (ANSYS) analysis of a composite beam with varying percentages of delamination (0-40%). The results show that natural frequency decreases with increasing delamination size, as delamination reduces structural stiffness. Experimentally measured natural frequencies closely matched those from numerical analysis. The research demonstrates that vibration testing can successfully detect internal delaminations and monitor damage in composite structures.
