After searching on websites of big local
cinemas, (as you can see from the previous slide) I
found that psychological thrillers, which is my
genre, were not at all popular as I found none of
them in the list of screenings. I also failed to
find any independently made films in either of the
websites listings.

5. Film Festivals and Independent
Film Awards
Film festivals and independent film awards are a
great way for small, low budget films like mine to
get exhibited, gain publicity and get appreciated.
The British Independent Film Festival and The
Raindance Film Festival are both very popular and
attract many film lovers each year. Last year and
the BIFF was held at 10 different locations across
the UK
