The ideal audience
Ideally we would be aiming towards people that are always looking for new
content and are often looking for new indie or non-mainstream content.This
will help us gain traction in the film community.
This audience will be attracted towards films that distinguish themselves from
the standard big budget movie.
They will also be better at finding unknown movies such as ours due to the fact
that the ideal audience member will be frequently using technology such as
phones in order to search for films such as ours.
The ideal audience member will be roughly between the ages of 12 and 18 due
to the fact that this is one of the prominent age groups that regularly view
movies in the cinema and due to the indie status of our film will be more than
likely to view films on devices such as phones which will help due to the fact
the film won't be in cinema's for long.
The audience member will probably be into more current indie music due to
the fact that our film has very little promotion so the audience will have to
actively search for indie music artists.
Also the audience member will more than likely use social media and be able
to use various pieces of current technology in order to fit in with the sci-fi
themes of the movie.
The ideal audience member will more than likely not watch too muchTV due
to the fact that there are a range of alternatives for them to use and due to the
age group they are in they are probably drawn more towards online services.
They probably would prefer to watch a series on Netflix like breaking bad,
Jessica Jones or house of cards.
They will also probably refrain from using older methods of receiving media
such as radio or via the news either through physical or digital means and they
will probably view something based on word of mouth from social media sites.
