Evaluation Essay Outline
Writing an essay on the topic "Evaluation Essay Outline" can be a challenging task that requires
careful planning and thoughtful analysis. The difficulty lies in the need to critically assess a
subject, formulating a well-structured outline that highlights key points of evaluation, and
presenting a cohesive argument supported by evidence.
To begin, one must thoroughly understand the criteria for evaluation and establish a clear purpose
for the essay. This involves researching the topic extensively to gather relevant information and
identifying the main aspects to be evaluated. Crafting a comprehensive outline becomes crucial,
as it serves as the roadmap for the essay, guiding the writer through the logical progression of
ideas.
Developing an introduction that captures the reader's attention, provides context, and states the
thesis is a challenging yet essential aspect. The body paragraphs should delve into specific
criteria, offering in-depth analysis and supporting evidence for each point. This requires critical
thinking skills to discern the significance of various aspects and articulate their impact on the
overall evaluation.
Transitions between paragraphs and sections are vital to maintain the essay's coherence. The
challenge lies in seamlessly connecting ideas to ensure a smooth flow of arguments. Additionally,
striking a balance between objectivity and personal opinion is essential, as an evaluation essay
should present a fair and unbiased assessment.
Concluding the essay requires summarizing key points, reiterating the thesis, and leaving a
lasting impression on the reader. Crafting a conclusion that effectively ties together the
evaluation without introducing new information can be a complex task.
In essence, writing an evaluation essay requires a combination of research, critical thinking, and
effective communication skills. It demands a structured approach to outline the evaluation
criteria, articulate well-supported arguments, and present a cohesive narrative. Despite the
challenges, successfully crafting an evaluation essay can be a rewarding experience, allowing the
writer to showcase their analytical abilities.

Transcendental Meditation Analysis
Your Over the Counter Dosage of Meditation
Medication and surgical treatment can go from a five dollar box of Advil at CVS
to a ten thousand dollar heart surgery at your nearest hospital. But what if there was
a way to lower your chances for little to no cost; would you try it? Well, just for your
knowledge, there is an answer out there and the name is meditation. Meditation has
changed the lives of many individuals ranging in different disorders. This article will
review the interview conducted with Transcendental Meditation teachers of Nancy
and Thomas, which occurred on February 29, 2016. The interview was located at
their house located on 920 Imperial Drive Mohnton, PA 19540 where they also
conduct their teaching. The overall goal of this paper is to demonstrate that
meditation offers multiple benefits as an alternative treatment to those who suffer
from mental disorders.

Common Sense By Thomas Paine Chapter Summary
In the book Common Sense, Thomas Paine does his readers the fortunate favor of
splitting his creation into four sectors. The first segment he goes over the timeline of
humankind where he so cleverly lets us picture the entire human race in its most
innocent structure. Paine then continues to write about his second sector which
includes transmissible and monarchy sequence. To continue in the next sector of his
book, Paine plunges into the discussion of American colonies and continues to then
talk about America and its benefits to not being tied down to chaos and tyranny. Also
in this third sector Paine discussed Americas ties with Britain and how our reputation
cannot thrive and prosper if we are entwined with their government. In the last and
enlightening sector Paine takes about independence from Britain and our very
possible victorious outcome if we went to war with Britain. He goes on to describe
the revolution that would open the worlds eyes to see that monarchy is the enemy. In
the first segment of Paine s book he explains the structure, function and origins of
government. Thomas Paineclearly see s the government as a necessary evil. The way
Paine views this was the government only showed up when humans started to

He goes into the discussion that America should remove itself from Britain and
become its own dependent self and be free from Britain s utter chaos. Pain goes on
to further describe and explain hoe America would be strong and have protection;
however, Paine also explains that if we keep under Britain s rule, we ll practically
become their servants. In the end of the third sector, Thomas Paine, lets us explore
the possibility of looking weak to other nations and counties. In the book you can
feel his excitement and urgency as he talks to us about letting go of the bad which is
Britain and getting on board for the revolution that will bring our country to new
National Security vs. the Right to Privacy Essay
Abstract: Electronic mail is quickly becoming the most prevalent method of
communication in the world. However, e mail systems in corporate, institutional, and
commercial environments are all potential targets of monitoring, surveillance and
ultimately, censorship.
Electronic mail is a phenomenon that has begun to pervade all aspects of our lives
today. We use e mail in our personal lives, at our schools, at our jobs, and
everywhere in between. However, very few of us consider the fact that even though
our e mail is composed by the sender, and is intended to be read only by the
recipient, it actually passes through many hands in between. Transmitted e mail will
often travel through up to 5 or 6 different servers on ... Show more content on

Although Worthington has been violating the privacy of Silicon Techronics
employees by reading their e mail, he is also exposing the fraudulent business
practices inside Silicon Techronics that would otherwise go unnoticed. Furthermore,
Worthington was one of the first to know of John Cramer s drinking problem, and
was able to bring it to Michael Watterson s attention. Back in reality, the Federal
Bureau of Investigation cites that in addition to terrorists, spies, hackers,...dangerous

Thus, conscientiously applied e mail surveillance can produce ethically satisfying and
morally sound effects.
On the other hand, there are equally compelling arguments against the surveillance of
e mail. The 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution maintains that citizens shall
never be subject to illegal searches or seizures. However, the Supreme Court has not
conclusively ruled whether or not the surveillance of e mail constitutes illegal search
and seizure. Even so, the 4th Amendment was clearly drafted with the intention of
preventing authorities from having complete and unhindered access to private
property, and as people s information is their property, a court

Event Management
Sports event management is the management of the participation of people to an
organized time limited event. Events showcase to the public the image of a given
sport and its teams hence it is crucial that a favorable image during major events be
portrayed. The importance of event organizing is reflected in the move taken by
many local authorities to appoint event officers in their respective departments (Watt,
2003). Even in small local authoritative organization at least one person will have
event management as their job role, this is largely due to their relevance to sports
event management (Watt, 2003). Sports events are not just organized for all the
obvious reasons, they are sometimes held to feel the market, used by politicians for

organizers, participants, and owners of teams. In addition to this the venue, funding,
time table, selection of people, and evaluation of event also need to be decided upon

America has about thirty five thousand (Washington Post) museums; while that alone

McDonald s that we have in America.
Museums in America are visited daily; it is like they almost never close. In 2015
upwards of six million nine hundred thousand people visited the National Museum of
Natural History in Washington DC (USA Today), this tied with the National Air and
Space Museum, also in DC. Many of these artifacts are from foreign countries that
want them back.
However, artifacts should not be repatriated to the countries of their origin because
museums are to educate people about different places, things, objects, cultures, and
eras. If the artifact is donated then the museum s highest priority is to honor the donor

DHS is a waste, at least this time. If the AFCEA focused only on the US it would

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Virginia Society

has, one being the number of elite people in the society there are. These elite
people have shown initiative and have done great things in their field. Copious
amount of members have not only joined the organization for the benefits it
provides but also joined for the networking. This is another strength that VSPE has
as a society. Due to their being so many members in this organization there are
countless opportunities they have to help one another. May it be a reference letter
or even finding a new job. Everyone in this organization are held to a higher
standard because of where they went to school and this can also help the members
find jobs once they have graduated college or are looking for a new and exciting
journey in their field. VSPE can help its members do just that. Weaknesses The
organization has provided plentiful opportunities for its members which is a great
strength that it has, however, there are also many weaknesses that set this
organization back. These days it is a great deal harder to recruit members. The
current members are on the older side and have been in for many years. To the
younger generation this seems like a set back. There are few people right out of
college or who have been in their field for less than five years who do not see the
benefits of the organization. Due to the older generation being so heavily influential
in the organization it is less catered to

Gough s Creative Personality Scale (CPS). The CPS required participants to rate
adjectives on how much they relate to the adjectives on a scale from one to nine
with one representing no connection to the adjective. The ratings were then broken
down into losses and gains. Gains were calculated by looking at the increase of
positive adjectives across age groups and losses were calculated the same way only
with negative adjectives. Composite scores were calculated by subtracting the
ratings of negative adjective from the ratings of positive adjectives (Hui et al., 2014).
The age group with the highest reported creative personality was the group of adults
over the age of sixty one. The pattern the study found seemed to suggest that there
was a gradual decrease in creative endeavors from age eighteen to age sixty that began
to increase in older age. A study entitled Layperson Perceptions of Malevolent

people using creative thinking to commit immoral and/or unethical acts. The

Most of the employers out there put all of their information online and to be able
to apply for that job, you have to use a computer. That applies to submitting your
resume as well. The days of going from business to business, filling out
applications and turning in resumes are long gone. Nowadays when you go to a
business to apply for a job, they tell you to go online to their website and apply
there. Being digitally literate also relates to the everyday things that we do such as
reading the newspaper or a magazine or even writing a letter. Most newspapers and
magazines can be found online today and that can make things easier for us in our
day to day lives. With that technology, we no longer have to carry around some

without having to scan through an entire newspaper or magazine. Along with having
the ability to read newspapers and magazines digitally, those companies are also
adding more pictures and links that just add that much more to the stories. Even the
newspaper companies such as the New York Times have evolved with this digital
trend by adding more color photos, charts, different fonts and even colored fonts in an

others as well. We could have spent hours just talking, laughing, and really feeling

difference in appearance just by looking downward on the city.
One of the first times my friend and I explored the cliff she found a ragged looking
envelope with a dated letter of desperation in it. It was addressed to Whom it May

a sing song pattern. We had to read it a couple of times to fully consume the poetry
and figure out the words that were erased from the still damp paper. About three

after that, we began to bring our poetry to the cliff and read aloud some of our

people face life s obstacles in such a creative way. The way I see it and I think the
way the author of the poem sees it, is that when in nature, and especially looking

Fermentation Lab Report
Fermentation is the anaerobic process by which glucose, or other sugars are
catabolized by microorganisms without an electron transport chain, like yeast
(Campbell, 2004). In experiment one the yeast and glucose acted as reactants, with
the yeast breaking down the glucose, producing the products CO2 and ethanol. The
overall reaction for the alcoholic fermentation that took place can be represented as
2 pyruvate + 2NADH 2NAD+ +2CO2 + 2 ethanol (Campbell, 2004). This biological
process allows cells to operate under conditions where oxygen is not present.
Experiment 1 explored the question of how the amount of sugar impacts the rate of
fermentation, while Experiment 2 tested the effect the type of sugar available to the
yeasthas on the rate of fermentation. If more sugar is available to the yeast, the faster
the reaction should occur. If sucrose is used instead of glucose, the reaction will
produce less CO2 since the yeast cannot breakdown sucrose as efficiently as glucose.
Methods:
The procedure for experiment one followed that given in: Martineau, Dean, Gilliland,
Soderstrom. BIO 19L Experiment 1, General Biology I Lab for Science Majors,

designated fermentation tube. Each tube had a specific ratio of reactants. Test tube 1

Explain The Four Stages Of Cognitive Development
The four stages of cognitive development which Piaget created are, according to
http://psychology.about.com, grouped as the following: sensorimotor, ages birth
to two years; preoperational, ages two to seven years of age; concrete operational,
ages seven to eleven; and finally formal operational, ages 12+. The sensorimotor
stage involves the child getting to know their surroundings. During this stage
children want to touch, taste, and see everything there is around them. They begin
to realize that by performing a certain action something happens. Take the dropping
toys scenario, babies think it s funny to drop a toy or a bottle and watch the adult
pick it up again and again. They are learning they if they drop something and
cannot reach it there will always be someone to pick it up for them; it becomes a
learning game for them. During this age children are always putting things in their
mouths. This is what teaches them what is good to eat and what is not. They learn
by the different tastes and feels of certain items. Charlie would most likely fall into
this category. He is two years old and having him help bake cookies would be a very

During this stage children will mimic words and learn many vocabulary words in
order to form their own thoughts. Children may also try out some words that may not
be appropriate because they have heard someone else say them. This stage involves
the child starting to think logically and beginning to form their own opinions about
certain subjects. They want to choose for themselves whether they wear a certain
outfit or if they want to go somewhere. They begin to express their feelings about
certain subjects and whether they think something is fair or not. Penelope falls into
this category. At this age she would be able to function well enough to help pour the
ingredients into the bowl and start to mix things with her

the patient is awake but calm.
In elderly patients, consider using half the recommended adult dose.

It may be more appropriate to assess physical symptoms objectively and use a FIXED
reduction regime immediately.
Start at Day 2 of the 5 day withdrawal scale
If using a FIXED reducing regime, it may be necessary to use prn
Chlordiazepoxide on top of the fixed regime I the first 24 hours to prevent
breakthrough withdrawal symptoms. If the prn doses are utilised a review of the
fixed regimen doses are needed after 24 hours. The doses will need to increase to take
into account the prn utilisation.
Elderly patients
To minimize adverse effects associated with benzodiazepines (e.g. over sedation,
confusion, and ataxia) in the elderly it is important to bear in mind the start low and
go slow rule. In general, recommended to use half the dose of the benzodiazepine.
Patients with liver failure
The metabolism of Diazepam is impaired in liver disease, but it may be used
cautiously in mild to moderate impairment (reduce the dose by 50%).
For patients with severe or acute liver impairment, use lorazepam as an alternative as
its metabolism is not impaired in liver disease.

Cloud Computing System For Computing
Cloud Computing Introduction Cloud computing system, which functions based
on the concept of providing computing as a utility, can be defined as the method of
providing resources for computing on demand, using remotely operational servers
on the internet for data storage, processing data and managing data. Its equivalent
to using a computer for its services, only without having to carry the hardware for
it. Cloud applications, being dynamically scalable, agile and capable of running
virtual applications and even an OS on a browser help in reducing costs of
resource acquisition. A cloud computing model has the following basic features:
Without involving any human interaction, the users can access any contracted
service/ resource, be it data processing, memory space or application programs as a
service from the provider. These contracted services/ resources can be availed by
any user anywhere, anytime via the internet. These computing resources are
distributed in various data centres across the globe which is shared by users from
any part of the world. It goes by pay what you use for policy. The user pays only for
the resources they use. Also, a big advantage is that from a user s perspective, all
the resources are unlimited, and flexible for access. Good QoS (Quality of Service)
is guaranteed by the provider. The cloud services are elastic. So the user can ask for
more services/ resources whenever they require, also terminate, when not required.

The Term Cochlear Amplifier, Coined By Thomas Gold
The term cochlear amplifier, coined by Thomas Gold in 1948, can be described as
a positive feedback mechanism whereby outer hair cells amplify displacements of
the basilar membrane in the cochlea. It characterises the collection of processes that
increase sound vibrations in the inner ear (Ashmore Gale, 2004). Sounds are
generated by movement of air molecules that create changes in air pressure. These
changes in pressure are called compressions, when the molecules are closer together,
and rarefication, when the molecules are less densely packed and are cyclic, thus
making a pressure wave. The human auditory systemis able to respond to these
pressure waves over a range of about 20 hertz (Hz) to 20,000 Hz. The intensity of a
sound is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This electromotility of the OHCs has been attributed to the motor protein, prestin,
which is embedded in the cell membrane, and it is the role of these mechanical
changes that has been identified in amplifying the vibrations of the cochlea in the
transduction of sound (Zheng et al., 2000). The outcome is an enhancement of the
basilar membrane amplitude by more than one hundred times (Davies, 2014).
The key to the cochlea amplifier mechanism is the prestin motor protein as it is
this that underlies the activity of the OHCs. On the apical surface of sensory hair
cells are finger like projections, forming hair bundles, called stereocilia. These
stereocilia bathe in a cochlear fluid containing about 145 mM of potassium which is
called endolymph. The deflection of a single stereocilium invokes a pull on a spring
which links to the tip of the neighbouring stereocilium and thus pulls it in the same
direction. A domino effect subsequently occurs until the whole hair bundle has been
moved. This process causes mechanically gated transducer channels, which are non
selectively permeable to cations and are located at the base of the tip links, to open.
This provides a passage for potassium to enter the hair cells down its electrochemical
gradient as the electric potential of the endolymph, +80 mV, is much greater than that
of the hair cell body, between 55 mV and 70

all experienced while on a voyage to the new world in the seventeenth century. In
Lorri Glover and Daniel Blake Smith s The Shipwreck That Saved Jamestown, the
authors chronicle the struggles and adventures of the Virginia Company in England.
When reading this novel, the main points that stood out most to me was that
colonization of America presented a lucrative enterprise and companies will go to
great extremes to access the available wealth. The authors of The Shipwreck That
Saved Jamestown changed my view on early American colonization in regards to the
interactions between natives and Europeans, the abuse of religion, and the harsh

In chapter seven of the novel, the author mentions when trade did not go smoothly,
the Europeans killed, and tortured the natives in ways including cutting of two
Indians heads and other extremities (151). When Francis West unsuccessfully
attempted to retrieve corn and other food for a starving Jamestown, he reverted to
a barbaric nature and lost control. Before reading this book I never realized how
terribly the Native Americans were treated. I knew instances such as the one
mentioned above occurred every once in a while but not as regularly as the book
makes it out to be. Another instance of a trading expedition gone wrong is seen in
chapter four when they sent a trading party to the nearby village at Nansemond.
Martin and Percy never heard from their men again, ... they were sacrificed, and that
their brains were cut and scraped out of their heads with mussel shells (97). This

To solve this problem we explain some of the background information, the current
situation and gives a future perspective for ChГўteau Margaux. We introduced a third
bottle of wine, under the brand name of ChГўteau Margaux, and this bottle will be
called: Gosse du Margaux. 2.Executive summary
ChГўteau Margaux is currently in the market of the winery. As of 2013, the global
wine market was valued at generating between $60 65 billion in annual revenues.
The amount of bottles being produced was estimated to be over 30 billion. The
production of wine has seen a shift from being produced in the Old world to an
increasing production of wine in the New world . This shift created an increasingly
upsweep in the global production of wine which resulted in a huge supply of wine
to the market. This development forced many wine producers to lower their prices in
order to be able to compete in the wine market.
ChГўteau Margaux will be expanding its market with a third wine titled Gosse du
Margaux .
ChГўteau Margaux offers three types of wine, the first wine being the best and the
third being the least good. The third wine is however, of such high quality that it is
considered good enough to sell. The United States of America has a population of
over 300 million people and because the wine
A Brief Biography of Emily Carr
Born in Victoria, British Columbia in 1871, Emily Carr had a passion and natural
talent for art from a very young age. At the age of 8 she took a piece of charcoal
from the fire place, ripped open a paper sack and decided she would draw the
family dog, the piece impressed her father, it was later found in his belongings
signed by Emily age 8. Her father would become a big influence into her artistic
explorations. The youngest of 5 sisters, Carr was a favorite of her family, especially
her father. She would walk with him to and from work each day and assist him in
gardening at the family home. During this time she would take in the landscapes,
colours, lines and shapes that composed her surroundings.
Although constantly encouraged in her youth, Carr did not professionally pursue her
artistic talent until she was a teenager. Following the death of her parents and to
escape living under her sister s strict rules, Carr moved to California to attend the San
Francisco Art Institute. She returned to Victoria after two years of schooling and then
moved to London, England where she studied at the Westminister School of Art.
After returning back to British Columbia she lived in Vancouverand taught at the
Ladies Art Club, unfortunately due to her rude behaviour of smoking and cursing at
her students she became unpopular and her classes began to be boycotted by the
students, she only held the position for a month.
In the early 1900s while traveling through Ucuelet, Vancouver

her time in the bedroom. For the longest time she had been wondering why her
husband only wanted to have sex one time a month, and then it was only in one
position; missionary. There was nothing new to their love making, it had always
been the same. But after twenty years of marriage, she d enough, and wanted
something new. She went to a web page she had heard some co workers talking
about and looked around. Her eyes were wide with wonder why ll she read stories
of sexual adventure. She could feel her body getting hotter as she read more and
more stories of how girls allowed males to use their bodies. Not just one man, but
several. It was called a gangbang, and she felt her pussy clench as she wondered
what it would feel like. Pulling her panties down she pushed a finger into her wet
hole as she read the story of a woman who had allowed five guys to do her. The
woman had a dick in all holes of her body more than one time, Jenny knew that she
wanted to do this. The problem was she didn t know if she really wanted to do it,
sure it was a nice fantasy. But she really was a one woman man, and that was still
her husband, even if he was boring. She wondered what her husband Tony would
say if he knew she wanted to be fucked by more than one man. He was never very
adventurous. But perhaps she could talk him into it. Or maybe she should just sneak

Technology Is Making Our World Today
Technology making our world today dystopia Technology is making our world
today a dystopia world. Many people think technology made our world better but to
be honest it made it worst. Here are the reasons why it made it worst and not better.
First it made people lazy, for example before people used to go out and shop, they
used to walk and get some exercises while now they can just order online. Second it
made people spend more money because everything easier to get online now.
People think that technology made our world great but technology is making us a
dystopia. Dystopia a futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societal
control and the illusion of perfect society are maintained through corporate,
bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control. One form of dystopia is
technological control, we can see this in social media. Social media first started
with Facebook, when Facebook was made back in 2006 everyone went crazy
about it, it was the most popular cite. People used to sit on it for hours and hours
playing games and chatting to people around the world while they are locked in
small room and don t even get to talk to their own family. Fathers stopped taking
their kids to vacations when they have free time they rather sit on Facebook instead
making business or even some of them for fun. Mothers stopped cooking and
cleaning due to social media, parents stopped being closer to their kid. Kids and
teenager become closer to people over the
Ethnocentrism
(Ethnocentrism vs. Cultural Relativism)
As a Sociologist, should we practice Cultural Ethnocentrism or Cultural Relativism?
We must first understand the two distinct theories regarding perception of outside
cultures: Ethnocentrism and Cultural Relativism. Ethnocentrism is judging another
culture solely by the values and standards of one s own culture.[1] The ethnocentric
individual will judge other groups relative to his or her own particular ethnic group or
culture, especially with concern to language, behavior, customs, and religion these
ethnic distinctions and subdivisions serve to define each ethnicity s unique cultural
identity.[2] The logical alternative to ethnocentrism is Cultural relativism, the practice

We live in a rapidly changing world, which is increasingly bringing people of
various cultures in closer interaction with each other. This interaction can be positive
or negative depending on the level of sensitivity and respect people have for other
cultural groups. Negative attitudes towards other cultures and/or ethnic groups arise
out of ethnocentrism, while positive attitudes are the result of a culturally relativist
approach. If people are going to be successful in today s multicultural, informative
society, they will need to develop a culturally sensitive frame of reference and mode
of operation.
Some of the pros/strengths that Cultural relativism presents are listed below: 1. It
encourages respect and tolerance for all cultures and societies. 2. By extension, it
advocates for equality among and between cultures 3. It encourages a sense of unity
within a culture by maintaining that all are bound by the same rules. 4. It warns us
against assuming that all of our own cultural practices are based on some absolute
rational standard . 5. It stresses the benefits of keeping an open mind and not rushing
to judgment.
Cultural relativism suggests that whatever any culture does is acceptable and we
must positively judge other cultures practices it is right for them. Who am I to judge
differently? Cultural relativism arises out of a concern not to impose our cultural
values on other cultures. The problem with believing that all values are

Teaching Strategies For Student Involvement Essay
The students in this class are fifteen to seventeen year olds with one eighteen year
old. I applied my Content and Pedagogy PGE to this lesson using teaching strategies
I acquired at the Argument Writing Workshop. For example, I began with an
icebreaker called This or That, reading aloud a series of controversial statements.
Students who agreed with a statement moved to one side of the room; those who
disagreed moved to the other side. Then students took turns explaining their choices. I
also incorporated close reading strategies covered at the workshop. I applied my
Assessment PGE, using Lexile scores to select texts and initially group students. One
goal for the featured lesson was for students to learn the language of argument writing
(claim, counterclaim, ethos, logos, pathos, etc.). I also wanted students to deduce an
author s position in a text, cite supporting evidence, and analyze text to identify
rhetorical devices. I assessed the featured lesson by observing student involvement in
the discussions and reading the notes students took over the course of the unit. The
final assessment was for each student to write an argument essay on illegal
immigration. The broader context for this lesson was for students to think critically,
work collaboratively, and use effective communication skills. I also wanted students
to consider real world problems and gain respect for differing viewpoints often based
on cultural background and experience. Argument writing is the most used

Being a professional in the health care environment today is a very important job.

continuing education (CE) exam for all radiologic technologist. The ARRT defines
the continuing education requirements as planned, organized and administered to

Only one of the three different ways to earn credits must be completed to reach the
CE requirements. All credits must come from one of the two categories known as
A or A+ credit. The first way to receive the credits needed is by completing
educational activities that meet the proper criteria accepted by the ARRT. Attending
seminars, online programs, directed readings, or even writing a scholarly article are
some of the few educational activities that can be done to receive credits. Another
way to receive the required credits is for a technologist to pass a postprimary exam
for which they are permitted. Passing a postprimary exam will earn 24 credits in
category A. Some of the included postprimary exams for a technologist to complete
are the ARRT exams in quality managment, sonography, mammography, bone density,
computed tomography, and cardiovascular interventional technology. The last way to
earn credits is by passing an ARRT primary certification exam in a regulation that has
not already been passed and for which is permitted. Nuclear medicine exams through

The Portrayal Analysis Of Super Rich Kids By Frank Ocean
These days many media outlets define and teach this generation that having lavish
things will make us happy and live a better life, adoring being widely rich in the tv
shows we watch, music we listen to, social media and what we read in the news or

Secret Lives of The Super Rich are attracting more viewers than any other

song Super Rich Kids, by Frank Ocean, is a warning to parents whose children are
living in a greedy world filled with consumerism. Ocean makes a statement in his
lyrics that people who grow up in this lifestyle are vulnerable of having personal
problems due to the absence of accountability and parenting that they receive
(Ocean). This style of life it s not just about the greed, but it presents the effects that
the lifestyle can have on someone. The song Super Rich Kids is a strong warning
about the risks of living a lavish lifestyle full of luxury and no reasonability,
especially as teenagers in their emotionally formative ages. It s seen in this through
the imagery, language and juxtaposition of cultures in this song. Ocean demonstrates
a situation in which someone, likely a teenager, has huge amount of money, but he
doesn t have any path in life. The cause for the lack of direction is the fact that many

Elder Scrolls
The Elder Scrolls series are some of the best game series of all time in my opinion,
and that includes the soundtracks as well. I have enjoyed the Elder Scrolls for a
very long time, starting with Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall and have continued to play
them all the way through the new series Legends. The games have such a great
way of immersing you into the world that they are trying to portray in any given
time. One of my personal favorite moments was from the ESV whenever you are
finished fighting the first dragon and you absorb its soul in order to gain its power
through your dragon blood. Not only does it make for a very epic moment, the
musical score reflects the gravity of the situation and the importance that your life as
the dragon born will have.
Whenever you pop the game into the console (or open it digitally in my case), you

area or pick a fight you a group of enemies you are greeted with an all too familiar
track that can get very tiresome throughout your playthough. I hoped that the game
composers could have come up with more variation in the fighting instances of the
game. So even though this game has many incredible tracks, it does have its
downfalls, and the area at which it does fall is a very big one, and in this case, I do
not agree with the saying that you cannot get enough of a good

Theme Of Heroism In Fahrenheit 451
Themes of the First Semester of English 12 When considering the main projects
and stories read in the first semester of English 12, the main theme was What makes
a hero? The topic of heroism can be broken down into: qualities that make a hero,
and how those qualities are utilized. Perhaps the best example of heroism was in the
epic poem called Beowulf, which was, not surprisingly, named for the heroBeowulf.
Beowulf (a Geat) was a hero in his time, and probably the first heroic character even
written about. He posses all the general qualities of a superhero. He is incredibly

The Wife of Bath was a hero due to her openness about sexuality in women. She
also offered to men, through a story, what women want the most. Which is,
unsurprisingly, to be treated equally. It is likely that she was one of the first
modern day feminists. She told a story about a knight that raped a woman and was
allowed, by the Queen s pardon, to find what women want most in order to save
his own life. He traded any one favor to an old hag for the answer. His life was
saved, but the favor was that he had to marry the old hag. It turns out that the old
hag was a witch, and she offered him the choice of a beautiful wife who was
unfaithful, or an ugly wife that was perfect in every way but looks. When he let the
hag choose which she would rather be, thus learning the lesson, she gave him a
beautiful wife that was faithful. By telling this story the Wife of Bath asserted, to
men, how to please women. Which to all men should make her a hero, and it makes
her a hero to women for getting the word out about how to please your
Balanchine In Modern Dance
It is thus indisputable that Balanchine s revolutionary choreography is still revered to
this day. In addition, Symons personally recognizes Balanchine as historically, the
most influential figure who contributed to modern dance. In a recent questionnaire
she wrote of how He transformed dance into unconventional classical lines, turned in
(parallel) shapes and revolutionised costume design away from the traditionalism of
the classical tutu (Symons, 2017). His choreography was considered unorthodox as
Balanchine took traditional classical steps and experimented with them in a way that
people hadn t seen before (Kisselgoff, 1983). After failing at many attempts to open a
modern classical school, an opportunity to co fund a strictly regimented and
traditional balletsociety was offered to him, he gladly accepted and eventually
incorporated his neo classical style into the traditional performances. Soon his work
became famous amongst ballet associates around the world (Kisselgoff, 1983). When
Balanchine s choreography is compared to that of typical romantic ballet, there is
clearly a difference between the unyielding fundamentals of ballet and the constant
changing details in Balanchine s work. The main element that set Balanchine apart
from other contemporary choreographers at the time was his use of music (NYCB,
2002). Balanchine grew up with a composer as a father, when he began devising
routines he used music to set the tone of the performance (NYCB, 2002). Balanchine
Mrs. Eaves Case Study
Mrs. Eaves is a transitional serif typeface designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996 for
the type foundry Emigre she ran with her husband. Mrs. Eaves was designed as a
display variation on the Baskerville font designed in 1757 by John Baskerville, and
named after his housekeeper Sarah Eaves whom he later married; she would later
go on to print the rest of his unfinished journals after he died. Zuzana Licko is one
of the first typographers to use the Macintosh computer in its early pre design
days, as a tool for typographic design, experimentally using bitmaps to design her
typefaces. Mrs. Eaves is a font, designed as a revival of Baskerville, and made with
display in mind. Coming from a time where many fonts were being rethought or

Essay about Urban Legends
Joel Beckwith Febuary 13, 2001
Urban Legends
In this paper I will explain exactly what an urban legend is,and
give some examples of very popular ones that have been passed by
word of mouth for decades across the United States.
1 quot; An urban legend is a story that is so bizarre, horrifying,or
unexplainable, that it makes something inside of us want to believe
it. quot; Urban Legends can have traced origins from other countries,
universities, states, or people, that just decided to made up as
incredible story and pass it on to their friends and family members.
Many of these legends were started in the sixties and seventies,
and still continue to be passed on to this day. A good example, is
the horrifying Pop Rocks death. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many legends include psychotic elderly people who decide to
kill people or things. One story is of an elderly woman who decides
to dry her wet dog in the microwave(the dog explodes.) Other
legends with the elderly include a crazy woman that kills taxi drivers
as they pick her up, and old men that eat little children!
Many urban legends involve gruesome deaths and murders. This
particular legend was supposed to have happened at the University
of Illinois campus. A girl got off one evening and made the way to
the door where she lived. She and her room mate had an agreement
that if either one or them brought a guy back to their dorm, they would
put a rubberband on the doorknob. When the girl got to the door, she
found a rubberband and walked in without turning on the lights. She
heard moving and heaving breathing,so she decided to go right to
bed.The next morning the girl woke up only to find her roommate
gruesomely murdered. The girl screamed and ran for the door, but
before she walked out she looked at the wall.Written in blood was

Not all urban legends are completely untrue. There are many
things that can be found in movies, cartoons, and shows. One of
the most popular known of these can be found in Disney s cartoons.
Many times what is hidden is something of sexual content. The most

Increasing The Neural Impulse Experiment
MARY AYYOUB
PSY1010 LAB

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT #2
The neural impulse activity was an interesting activity to do while measuring two
different distances and how it affected us students. The hypothesis of the experiment
is stated as: Increasing the distance a neural impulse has to travel to reach the brain,
increases the time it takes to make a response . During this experiment, the class
stood up and formed a circle around the room. The first trial was based on all the
students holding hands while having their eyes closed. The professor in the class
squeezed the student s hand that was first in line, and that squeeze had to go through
the line to the last person that would hit the bell when it reached them. Performing

Failed investments in technology may not only cause financial losses, but also lead
to dissatisfaction amongst employees (Venkatesh, 2000). Whilst, there exists a large
amount of literature on technological adoption, most of the research undertaken deals
with this in the context of individual consumers rather than at a firm level.
Furthermore, in the case of wearable technology, the main case study of this
particular research, as a current example of a radical technological innovation, there is
a lack of breadth in terms of the literature available, which can be expected from its
relative infancy. Therefore, this literature review will serve as a treatise to not only
critically analyse the seminal research in the broader field of technological innovation
and adoption, but also to extrapolate the information gathered in the context of my
own research, to provide a fresh insight on technological adoption at an organisational
level, with a special interest in the future of wearable technology at this level.
2.1.1 What is technological innovation?
According to Sagar (2013) Technology innovation is the process through which new
technologies are developed and brought into widespread use. Typically in literature, a
distinction will be made between the different types of innovation. The type of
innovation mentioned in this research, will refer to product innovation, as wearable
technology
How Law Enforcement Can Prove Evidence And The Guilty
With...
There are different ways law enforcement can prove evidence and the guilty with
impression evidence. Latent (invisible) or patent (visible) prints that are used in
criminal investigations are typically collected from crime scene specialists to reveal
or extract fingerprints from any surface or objects with the use of chemical or
physical methods. Fingerprints can be shown when they are taken from a crime scene
where the crime was committed. Fingerprints and bite mark evidencehave similar
traits to shoe prints and tire tracks that can be used in criminal investigations. There
are a percentage of palm prints that must be left at the scene to make a comparison
for valid evidence.
Fingerprints can be taken from a crime scene in various methods. Fingerprints are
classified into three categories depending on the surface they are found. Fingerprints
on soft surfaces are most likely to be three dimensional plastic prints such as soap,
wax, wet paint, fresh caulk, etc. ( A Simplified Guide To FingerprintAnalysis , n.d).
The fingerprints on hard surfaces are patent or latent prints including blood, dirt, ink,
paint, etc. transferred from a finger or thumb to a surface ( A Simplified Guide To
Fingerprint Analysis , n.d). Patent prints can be collected using photography. The
prints are photographed in high resolution with a forensic measurement scale for the
image for reference. There are multiple methods for discovering and collecting latent
prints. Alternate Light Source (ALS) use

Analysis Of Edward Abbey s Desert Solitaire
Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey begins in the area surrounding Moab, Utah. He
discusses his intense love and adoration for the land. This theme of laying out the
land for the reader continues from Chapters 1 5. It is apparent the Abbey adores
nature in its purest form. Abbey rarely has visitors of the human kind, he is more
often visited by snakes, deer, birds, and other wildlife than the parks superintendent,
the chief park ranger, and a few tourists here and there. Abbey finds himself a little
lonely from time to time in the beginning of the book but by Chapter 3: The
Serpents of Paradise he finds a friend. He first encounters a not so friendly creature,
a faded midget, a poisonous rattlesnake lying underneath his doorstep. Abbey often
finds himself talking to the animals in this book, so he decides to issue the snakea
warning and remove it. When it comes back to the trailer a second time, Abbey
keeps his promise and kills the snake. Eventually, he finds another snake, which he
recognizes is an enemy to the rattlesnake, and he sets out to domesticate it. Abbey
decides to take it on excursions with him, wrapping the snake around his waist
underneath his shirt. Eventually, the snake was released and never returned. In
Chapter 4, Abbey focuses more on the plants in the region, citing his favorite
wildflower, the cliffrose, and going over his weekly schedules. His busiest days
are the weekends when campers come, after he cleans, makes his rounds, takes a
couple days off, restocks supplies, and then starts all over again. Chapter 5, is when
things start to get heavy. It is at this point Abbey starts revealing how truly
frustrated he is with the US government and the tourists. Abbey is fiercely
protective of the park and soon discovers that roads will be paved in the park to
increase tourism. He is horrified at the aspect of a new road because he sees
automobiles as an enemy to the National Park industry. To Abbey, cars limit tourists
from actually see the land, stating that a short distance on bike or foot is much more
appreciated than a very long distance in a car. He also suggests a new plan for
national parks in order to preserve their authenticity. Abbey thinks that tourists should
travel to the campsites
Introduction Of Cloud Computing
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION TO CLOUD COMPUTING 1.1Introduction
Business applications have dependably been excessively extravagant. They oblige a
datacenter which offers which offers space, power, cooling, bandwidth, networks,
entangled programming stack and servers and storage and a team of experts to install,
configure and run them. We need development, staging, testing, production and
failure environments and when another adaptation comes up, we need to upgrade and
then the entire framework is down. Figure 1 Cloud Computing Cloud computing is
the convergence of Virtualization and Utility computing. In early days of computing,
both data and software were fully contained on the same user machine. Cloud

People commonly believe cloud to be just virtualization. So let us look it further to
understand why it is different than just visualization alone. The main attributes that
characterize cloud computing are as follows: Figure 2 Attributes that Characterize
Cloud The Rapid Elasticity is the most important feature in cloud. In this, the
resources are made available and released as and when required automatically
based on set triggers or parameters. This makes sure that the application has the
required capacity available at any point of time. Elastic computing is an important
trait critical to cost reductions. Resources often appear to be unlimited to the
consumer and that they can be purchased in any quantity at any time. The On
demand Self Service features services like email, applications, networks and
servers that can be provisioned or de provisioned as needed in an automated
manner without the need for human intercession. We can access the services
through an online gateway or specifically with the provider. We can likewise
include or uproot clients and change storage networks and software as needed. This
is otherwise called pay as you go model. Terms may vary from provider to provider.
In Resource Pooling, the resources are pooled together to serve multiple consumers
using multi tenancy approach. It is based on the theory of scalability in the cloud. It
allows several customers to share the infrastructure without

  • 3. Common Sense By Thomas Paine Chapter Summary In the book Common Sense, Thomas Paine does his readers the fortunate favor of splitting his creation into four sectors. The first segment he goes over the timeline of humankind where he so cleverly lets us picture the entire human race in its most innocent structure. Paine then continues to write about his second sector which includes transmissible and monarchy sequence. To continue in the next sector of his book, Paine plunges into the discussion of American colonies and continues to then talk about America and its benefits to not being tied down to chaos and tyranny. Also in this third sector Paine discussed Americas ties with Britain and how our reputation cannot thrive and prosper if we are entwined with their government. In the last and enlightening sector Paine takes about independence from Britain and our very possible victorious outcome if we went to war with Britain. He goes on to describe the revolution that would open the worlds eyes to see that monarchy is the enemy. In the first segment of Paine s book he explains the structure, function and origins of government. Thomas Paineclearly see s the government as a necessary evil. Pain goes on to further describe and explain hoe America would be strong and have protection; however, Paine also explains that if we keep under Britain s rule, we ll practically become their servants. In the end of the third sector, Thomas Paine, lets us explore the possibility of looking weak to other nations and counties. In the book you can feel his excitement and urgency as he talks to us about letting go of the bad which is Britain and getting on board for the revolution that will bring our country to new
  • 4. National Security vs. the Right to Privacy Essay Abstract: Electronic mail is quickly becoming the most prevalent method of communication in the world. However, e mail systems in corporate, institutional, and commercial environments are all potential targets of monitoring, surveillance and ultimately, censorship. Electronic mail is a phenomenon that has begun to pervade all aspects of our lives today. We use e mail in our personal lives, at our schools, at our jobs, and everywhere in between. However, very few of us consider the fact that even though our e mail is composed by the sender, and is intended to be read only by the recipient, it actually passes through many hands in between. Back in reality, the Federal Bureau of Investigation cites that in addition to terrorists, spies, hackers,...dangerous criminals[,] and child pornographers, Internet stock fraud costs investors approximately $10 billion per year (or nearly $1 million per hour). (Federal Bureau of Investigation, http://www.fbi.gov/pressrm/congress/congress00/kerr090600.htm) Thus, conscientiously applied e mail surveillance can produce ethically satisfying and morally sound effects. On the other hand, there are equally compelling arguments against the surveillance of e mail. The 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution maintains that citizens shall never be subject to illegal searches or seizures. However, the Supreme Court has not conclusively ruled whether or not the surveillance of e mail constitutes illegal search and seizure. Even so, the 4th Amendment was clearly drafted with the intention of preventing authorities from having complete and unhindered access to private property, and as people s information is their property, a court

Gains were calculated by looking at the increase of positive adjectives across age groups and losses were calculated the same way only with negative adjectives. Composite scores were calculated by subtracting the ratings of negative adjective from the ratings of positive adjectives (Hui et al., 2014). The age group with the highest reported creative personality was the group of adults over the age of sixty one. The pattern the study found seemed to suggest that there was a gradual decrease in creative endeavors from age eighteen to age sixty that began to increase in older age. The days of going from business to business, filling out applications and turning in resumes are long gone. Nowadays when you go to a business to apply for a job, they tell you to go online to their website and apply there. Being digitally literate also relates to the everyday things that we do such as reading the newspaper or a magazine or even writing a letter. Most newspapers and magazines can be found online today and that can make things easier for us in our day to day lives. With that technology, we no longer have to carry around some giant newspaper or even a magazine. We have the ability to put them on our computers of even an iPad and access them from anywhere that you have internet access. Plus having this technology allows us to be able to search for certain articles without having to scan through an entire newspaper or magazine. Along with having the ability to read newspapers and magazines digitally, those companies are also adding more pictures and links that just add that much more to the stories. Even the newspaper companies such as the New York Times have evolved with this digital trend by adding more color photos, charts, different fonts and even colored fonts in an attempt to make their publications more attractive. Life has its ups and downs and we all learn to deal with them in different ways. Some people use exercise to release stress while others find places to hide from the stress for short periods of time. I found a place of relaxation hundreds of feet above everyone looking down. Right outside of town there is a cliff that overlooks the downtown area. There I feel as though I am above everyone and nothing could touch me. We would never have guessed the difference in appearance just by looking downward on the city. One of the first times my friend and I explored the cliff she found a ragged looking envelope with a dated letter of desperation in it. It was addressed to Whom it May Concern, and its contents were packed with problems, dreams, answers, and lies in a sing song pattern. We had to read it a couple of times to fully consume the poetry and figure out the words that were erased from the still damp paper. About three pages the poet went on about life in general. It really touched the both of us and after that, we began to bring our poetry to the cliff and read aloud some of our thoughts. We never did find out who the author of the poetic letter was, however, it gave us both the feeling of new hope. I found it very refreshing to know that some people face life s obstacles in such a creative way. The way I see it and I think the way the author of the poem sees it, is that when in nature, and especially looking down upon the world, there is a distance you begin to take on from that world, the world of the not so beautiful reality. Fermentation Lab Report Fermentation is the anaerobic process by which glucose, or other sugars are catabolized by microorganisms without an electron transport chain, like yeast (Campbell, 2004). In experiment one the yeast and glucose acted as reactants, with the yeast breaking down the glucose, producing the products CO2 and ethanol. The overall reaction for the alcoholic fermentation that took place can be represented as 2 pyruvate + 2NADH 2NAD+ +2CO2 + 2 ethanol (Campbell, 2004). This biological process allows cells to operate under conditions where oxygen is not present. Experiment 1 explored the question of how the amount of sugar impacts the rate of fermentation, while Experiment 2 tested the effect the type of sugar available to the yeasthas on the rate of fermentation. If more sugar is available to the yeast, the faster the reaction should occur. If sucrose is used instead of glucose, the reaction will produce less CO2 since the yeast cannot breakdown sucrose as efficiently as glucose. Explain The Four Stages Of Cognitive Development The four stages of cognitive development which Piaget created are, according to http://psychology.about.com, grouped as the following: sensorimotor, ages birth to two years; preoperational, ages two to seven years of age; concrete operational, ages seven to eleven; and finally formal operational, ages 12+. The sensorimotor stage involves the child getting to know their surroundings. During this stage children want to touch, taste, and see everything there is around them. They begin to realize that by performing a certain action something happens. Take the dropping toys scenario, babies think it s funny to drop a toy or a bottle and watch the adult pick it up again and again. Cloud Computing System For Computing Cloud Computing Introduction Cloud computing system, which functions based on the concept of providing computing as a utility, can be defined as the method of providing resources for computing on demand, using remotely operational servers on the internet for data storage, processing data and managing data. Its equivalent to using a computer for its services, only without having to carry the hardware for it. Cloud applications, being dynamically scalable, agile and capable of running virtual applications and even an OS on a browser help in reducing costs of resource acquisition. A cloud computing model has the following basic features: Without involving any human interaction, the users can access any contracted service/ resource, be it data processing, memory space or application programs as a service from the provider. These contracted services/ resources can be availed by any user anywhere, anytime via the internet. These computing resources are distributed in various data centres across the globe which is shared by users from any part of the world. It goes by pay what you use for policy. The user pays only for the resources they use. Also, a big advantage is that from a user s perspective, all the resources are unlimited, and flexible for access. Good QoS (Quality of Service) is guaranteed by the provider. The cloud services are elastic. So the user can ask for more services/ resources whenever they require, also terminate, when not required. • 25. The Term Cochlear Amplifier, Coined By Thomas Gold The term cochlear amplifier, coined by Thomas Gold in 1948, can be described as a positive feedback mechanism whereby outer hair cells amplify displacements of the basilar membrane in the cochlea. It characterises the collection of processes that increase sound vibrations in the inner ear (Ashmore Gale, 2004). Sounds are generated by movement of air molecules that create changes in air pressure. These changes in pressure are called compressions, when the molecules are closer together, and rarefication, when the molecules are less densely packed and are cyclic, thus making a pressure wave. The human auditory systemis able to respond to these pressure waves over a range of about 20 hertz (Hz) to 20,000 Hz. The intensity of a sound is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This electromotility of the OHCs has been attributed to the motor protein, prestin, which is embedded in the cell membrane, and it is the role of these mechanical changes that has been identified in amplifying the vibrations of the cochlea in the transduction of sound (Zheng et al., 2000). The outcome is an enhancement of the basilar membrane amplitude by more than one hundred times (Davies, 2014). The key to the cochlea amplifier mechanism is the prestin motor protein as it is this that underlies the activity of the OHCs. On the apical surface of sensory hair cells are finger like projections, forming hair bundles, called stereocilia. These stereocilia bathe in a cochlear fluid containing about 145 mM of potassium which is called endolymph. The deflection of a single stereocilium invokes a pull on a spring which links to the tip of the neighbouring stereocilium and thus pulls it in the same direction. A domino effect subsequently occurs until the whole hair bundle has been moved. This process causes mechanically gated transducer channels, which are non selectively permeable to cations and are located at the base of the tip links, to open. This provides a passage for potassium to enter the hair cells down its electrochemical gradient as the electric potential of the endolymph, +80 mV, is much greater than that of the hair cell body, between 55 mV and 70

  • 34. Teaching Strategies For Student Involvement Essay The students in this class are fifteen to seventeen year olds with one eighteen year old. I applied my Content and Pedagogy PGE to this lesson using teaching strategies I acquired at the Argument Writing Workshop. For example, I began with an icebreaker called This or That, reading aloud a series of controversial statements. Students who agreed with a statement moved to one side of the room; those who disagreed moved to the other side. Then students took turns explaining their choices. I also incorporated close reading strategies covered at the workshop. I applied my Assessment PGE, using Lexile scores to select texts and initially group students. One goal for the featured lesson was for students to learn the language of argument writing (claim, counterclaim, ethos, logos, pathos, etc.). I also wanted students to deduce an author s position in a text, cite supporting evidence, and analyze text to identify rhetorical devices. I assessed the featured lesson by observing student involvement in the discussions and reading the notes students took over the course of the unit. The final assessment was for each student to write an argument essay on illegal immigration. The broader context for this lesson was for students to think critically, work collaboratively, and use effective communication skills. I also wanted students to consider real world problems and gain respect for differing viewpoints often based on cultural background and experience. Argument writing is the most used

I have enjoyed the Elder Scrolls for a very long time, starting with Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall and have continued to play them all the way through the new series Legends. The games have such a great way of immersing you into the world that they are trying to portray in any given time. One of my personal favorite moments was from the ESV whenever you are finished fighting the first dragon and you absorb its soul in order to gain its power through your dragon blood. • 41. Balanchine In Modern Dance It is thus indisputable that Balanchine s revolutionary choreography is still revered to this day. In addition, Symons personally recognizes Balanchine as historically, the most influential figure who contributed to modern dance. In a recent questionnaire she wrote of how He transformed dance into unconventional classical lines, turned in (parallel) shapes and revolutionised costume design away from the traditionalism of the classical tutu (Symons, 2017). His choreography was considered unorthodox as Balanchine took traditional classical steps and experimented with them in a way that people hadn t seen before (Kisselgoff, 1983). After failing at many attempts to open a modern classical school, an opportunity to co fund a strictly regimented and traditional balletsociety was offered to him, he gladly accepted and eventually incorporated his neo classical style into the traditional performances. Soon his work became famous amongst ballet associates around the world (Kisselgoff, 1983). When Balanchine s choreography is compared to that of typical romantic ballet, there is clearly a difference between the unyielding fundamentals of ballet and the constant changing details in Balanchine s work. The main element that set Balanchine apart from other contemporary choreographers at the time was his use of music (NYCB, 2002). Balanchine grew up with a composer as a father, when he began devising routines he used music to set the tone of the performance (NYCB, 2002). Balanchine

Whilst, there exists a large amount of literature on technological adoption, most of the research undertaken deals with this in the context of individual consumers rather than at a firm level. Furthermore, in the case of wearable technology, the main case study of this particular research, as a current example of a radical technological innovation, there is a lack of breadth in terms of the literature available, which can be expected from its relative infancy. Therefore, this literature review will serve as a treatise to not only critically analyse the seminal research in the broader field of technological innovation and adoption, but also to extrapolate the information gathered in the context of my own research, to provide a fresh insight on technological adoption at an organisational level, with a special interest in the future of wearable technology at this level. 2.1.1 What is technological innovation? Latent (invisible) or patent (visible) prints that are used in criminal investigations are typically collected from crime scene specialists to reveal or extract fingerprints from any surface or objects with the use of chemical or physical methods. Fingerprints can be shown when they are taken from a crime scene where the crime was committed. Fingerprints and bite mark evidencehave similar traits to shoe prints and tire tracks that can be used in criminal investigations. There are a percentage of palm prints that must be left at the scene to make a comparison for valid evidence. Fingerprints can be taken from a crime scene in various methods. Fingerprints are classified into three categories depending on the surface they are found. Fingerprints on soft surfaces are most likely to be three dimensional plastic prints such as soap, wax, wet paint, fresh caulk, etc. ( A Simplified Guide To FingerprintAnalysis , n.d). The fingerprints on hard surfaces are patent or latent prints including blood, dirt, ink, paint, etc. transferred from a finger or thumb to a surface ( A Simplified Guide To Fingerprint Analysis , n.d).
