Essays On Goals
Writing an essay on the topic of goals can be a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. The
difficulty lies not only in expressing one's thoughts coherently but also in delving deep into
personal aspirations and ambitions. Crafting an essay about goals requires introspection,
thoughtful analysis, and the ability to articulate one's dreams and objectives in a compelling
manner.
The process begins with self-reflection, forcing the writer to confront their own desires and
ambitions. This introspective journey can be both enlightening and unsettling, as it necessitates a
clear understanding of one's values, passions, and long-term objectives. Articulating these ideas
in a coherent and engaging manner adds another layer of complexity, as the writer must not only
convey the essence of their goals but also capture the reader's attention.
Additionally, the challenge lies in striking a balance between specificity and universality. While
the essay should be deeply personal, it must also resonate with a broader audience. Crafting a
narrative that is relatable and inspiring requires finesse and a keen understanding of the
audience's perspectives.
Moreover, structuring the essay effectively is crucial. Organizing thoughts, experiences, and
aspirations in a logical flow can be daunting, and finding the right words to convey the intended
message is an ongoing process of refinement. The writer must ensure that each paragraph
contributes meaningfully to the overall theme, creating a cohesive and impactful narrative.
Despite the challenges, the process of writing an essay on goals offers valuable insights into
one's own aspirations and motivations. It is an opportunity for personal growth and self-
discovery. The difficulty lies not only in the technical aspects of writing but also in the emotional
and intellectual engagement required to produce a compelling piece.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on goals is a demanding but enriching task that requires
introspection, effective communication, and a deep understanding of both personal aspirations
and the audience. The difficulty is not just in putting words on paper but in the journey of self-
exploration and the art of conveying one's dreams in a way that resonates with others.

The Return Of Depression Economics And The Crisis
Paul Krugman an American economist, Nobel Prize Winner and Professor of
Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and
International Affairs at Princeton University and is ranked among the most
influential economic thinkers in the US.1 In his book The Return of Depression
Economics and the Crisis of 2008 Krugman examines the economic crisis of 2008. He
asserts that there were many tale tell signs and warnings throughout history that could
have mitigated the crisis. Krugman contends that through history all financial crisis
had common elements. The panic of 1907, the Great Depression, the Savings and
Loan problems in the 1980 s, the Latin American Crisis and the Asian Crisis of the

With loose regulations investment banks were buying MBS s from banks and

Without worrying about if or when a borrower would default on a loan, banks and

Workplace Diversity Within A Women s Perspective
In this report, the group has been entrusted with the task of researching issues of
workplace diversity in an engineering profession, (mainly from a women s
perspective), i.e., limitations in which women experience through a daily basis. In
doing so, this report will reach to the company executive: EGB100 Ltd , outlining
the findings and recommendations about what benefits, there may be initially for the
company in implementing a workplace diversity policy, and thus, what practical
steps might be undertaken to foster a diverse and discrimination free workplace.

Importance of Making Appointments
The puporse of me writing this essay to let my leadership or any soldier in the
united states army that reads this know that I do understand the importance of
never missing an appointment. This is my second time with this plan of action.
This is my second time missing an appointment. This is not a good look for a PFC
with a bad repitation already. Missing a scheduled appointment may seem like a
little fuck up, but if you think about it and trace it back far enough it has a negative
impact on the lives of many people involved. it effects the army as a whole, the

By letting them down, I mean that I basically showed them that I have no
discipline to do the right thing even when no one is around. There is no real excuse
on missing appointments. Each Solider stationed on vilseck post is given an
opportunity to cancel an appointments if they will not be able to make it. By
missing my appointment shows them that Im not capable of taking care of myself,
so without a doubt im not ready to take care of someone else or be in the leadership
position. I should be leading the way for other new soldiers to follow but all im
doing is showing them that they cant depend on me because I fail to take care of
my OWN self. If I cant even show up for an appointment at the right building then I
cant show up for them when the time they or anyone will really need me. It shows
that I am unreliable. By missing my appointment, it also shows them that I don t
practice many of the several 7 army values. I have no honor because a true American
soldier that practices honor would have did the right thing and had all the necessary
information about the appointment, shown up or atleast have enough heart to at
least cancel the apointment . By missing my appointment I also show that I have
no respect for my myself, my leadership or my future soldiers. I am in no position to
even receive leadership role or even be promoted . Im in no position to tell someone

horizon. Good planning and willingness to adapt to changes are key to maximizing
our results. In order to do this we have come up with a plan that will make Lady

Challenges One of the first issues that I see when expanding to new markets, would
be in forecasting the potential of these markets. This can involve both overestimating
and underestimating the size of said markets. This can then lead to challenges in
staffing, production facilities, and warehouse space. Poor evaluation of these new
markets can also affect our suppliers up and down
Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism
1. Trends Analysis of Dubai s Job Marketplace
The job marketplace in Dubai is one unlike anywhere in the world. This is due to a
number of reasons that generally stem from two factors, the readily available supply
of cheap labour, and a rapidly developing economy (Dubai, 2009). Whilst most people
might believe that Dubai s economy is largely dependent on oil, many don t realise
that oil currently only comprises approximately 10% of the emirates economy. In the
last fifteen years Dubai has made significant investments around the world and has
funded a huge number of projects within the emirate it s self, pushing towards
creating Dubai the ultimate tourist destination (Current economy, 2009).

It provides people with a number of links to both general or industry specific
websites, and would be an essential tool to use in finding hospitality or tourism jobs
in the emirate. Locally, newspapers such as the 7 Days , Khaleej Times or Gulf
News may also be used to search for jobs. These companies do have websites but the
classifieds are somewhat outdated and not nearly as comprehensive as they are in
print.
3. Potential Jobs
When looking for a hospitality and tourism job in Dubai, there is one important
factor that one must consider. Whilst Dubai might seem to have a number of
different hotels and attractions, most of these are owned and run by a select number
of larger hotel and resort groups (Collins, 2007). Therefore, when looking for a job
and more importantly a career path, one would be wise to investigate the particular
group or chain rather than the specific hotel, restaurant or resort that they may be
considering.
The Jumeriah Hotel Group is one of the most recognized and well established
groups in Dubai. They were recently awarded the Hewitt Best Employers in the
Middle East Award in 2009, and it is primarily for these reasons that all five of the
potential jobs (Appendix I V) that were selected are within the Jumeriah Hotel Group.
A high quality working environment is critical in any career choice, as
Speech On Herbal Medicine
Over the past few decades, herbal drugs have become more popular among the
people in the world. A regular and widespread use of herbs throughout the world
has increased serious concerns over their quality, safety and efficacy. Further about
80% of world population depends on herbal preparations for primary healthcare
needs. In many developed countries, 70 to 80 per cent of the populations have used
some form of complementary or alternative medicines composed primarily of herbal
medicines (Firenzuoli, 2007). Herbal medicine is termed as the people s medicine
because of their easy accessibility and the mode with which they can be prepared.
Use of herbal medicines in the treatment of diseases has a long tradition of use when
compared to conventional medicines.

Summary Of The Movie GATTACA
The movie GATTACA was a science fiction film, but it carries a social message as
well. The title includes the letters G, A, T, and C which stands for guanine, adenine,
thymine, and cytosine which are all nucleobases of DNA. This nominated
masterpiece carries a story in the future where it is possible to conceive babies using
the best hereditary traits artificially to make perfect individuals. The main character
Vincent Freeman has unimaginable enthusiasm to achieve his life goal through
massive barriers in this movie. The theme of this movie is there is no genefor the

stay without quitting, and unique characteristics of the dreamer persuade for the

According to the movie GATTACA, it pictured challengeable surrounding for the

everything will be decided by the genes which include your skills that have been
decided before birth. Vincent Freeman, who was the main character in this movie

Women s Roles in Hills Like White Elephants, by Ernest...
Hills Like White Elephants
Hills Like White Elephants by Ernest Hemingway, is a great example of women s
role in the last century. The story is told in a simple form of dialogue between a man
and a young woman nicknamed Jig. Although there is an important decision to be
made, nothing of much importance is talked about. In the story, Jig does not have
much influence in her relationship with the man, even when it comes to an abortion.
The tale begins outside a small train stop in the middle of Spain, where a young
woman peers into the nearby hills. Jig remarks that they look like white elephants
and tells the man she wants some beers. The man asks for two drinks and the
waitress asks Jill if she wants her drink with water, but ... Show more content on

Their plans were to try new drinks and look at things. (p252) In the beginning of
the story, Jig can t determine to get an Anis del Toro with or with ought water. It
also seems that she does not even know where they re going in their relationship.
The rail tracks are used to symbolize the two roads ahead and they are stationed in
the middle of them. She states that they could get along if she has the baby. The man
tells her that he doesn t want anyone but her and it s that simple. The decision isn t
as simple to her but she will go through the operation. It seems that the man is happy
with Jig just tagging along for the ride.
Jig appears to be unsatisfied with her life. In the opening scene, she is imagining
white elephants as she looks onto the Ebro hills. The white elephants refer to an
unwanted gift. She wants the gift of a child but knows she can t have it because
the man doesn t want it. This makes her unhappy and makes her look for an
imaginary life. She drinks a lot and never settles down in one place. As she looks at
the hills, she sees that there is no shade and no trees on their side. Later in the
story, she sees that the other side of the hills is very fertile with a river, a field of
grains, and many trees. Jig imagines her life as it could be if she becomes a mother
and changes her lifestyle. Her life would be as happy as that little scene. Jig is also
unhappy because she can not express her true feelings. She tries to tell the

In the classic tragic drama Medea , Euripides illustrates how the power of love can
be used as evil. Love is the significant issue and driving force of the play Medea
(Zuger 29). It is depicted in many different ways throughout the course of the plot
(Zuger 29). At first, Medea could not resist her love and was astounded with
incredible desire for Jason (Sanderson 3). She could not yield to her love and went
against her father and homeland (Sanderson 3). Jason had made an oath to marry
her and take her away with him but, in the end, went against his word (Sanderson
6). Medea blamed her overwhelming passion and love on her actions (Zuger 29).
Even though Medea had so much love for Jason, he was still to wed the King s
daughter (Sanderson 6). In fear of Medea s sorcery, the King intended to banish
Medea and her sons from the country (Hamilton 176). Exiled from her homeland
and from her family, Medea had nowhere to go (Sanderson 6). Guilty and regretful
of all she had sacrificed, her outraged love and misery of her ruined life motivated
her plans of destruction (Hamilton 176). Medea s intense love for Jason turned to
hatred. The meaning of love is lost to Medea as disgust and spite conquer her heart
(Zuger 29). The play Medea blames the act of love as a result of its sorrowful end
(Zuger 30).
Vengeance was Medea s main determination (Sanderson 6).
My Career As A Nurse Practitioner Essay

given a assignment in my Introduction Health Sciences class where I have to
shadow a nurse practitioner, it gives me the opportunity to explore a specialty and
see what it really is like in their typical work day. An advanced practice registered
nurse, by the name of Mary Carlson at Parkland Medical Center was willing to let
me shadow her for a day. Carlson graduated with her BSN from Boston College. She
then pursued a graduate degree from Boston University. Her official title is, Nurse

family friend that she works with. I have always been fascinated by emergency
medicine, so I was naturally very excited to shadow her. Through email Carlson
told me her shift was from 10am 6pm. She also told me to wear comfortable shoes,
since her job is very faced paced. I arrived at Parkland Medical Center at 9:55. I
checked in at the front desk in the emergency room. I waited for fifteen minutes, the
lady at the front desk said she was caught up with a patient. Already? I thought, I

Racism In America Essay
I choose the topic Racism in today s society because it is a topic that dramatically
effects our way of living. I believe racism is not something that not only affects
certain people, racism affects everyone.
My position on the topic of racism is that it s a negative faction in our society that

The importance of racism in America.
Racism in the U.S. is important and should be know because it is an important part
in our history that shaped America. People are not born racist, people who are racist
were usually raised in an atmosphere that embraced it. Racism is a negative faction in
our society that affects you and everyone around you. Racism can sometimes be the
result in deaths of minority groups. With racism in every corner it leads to people
questioning their safety in a government that may have racist authorities who can

Cars driven by whites that were searched accounted for only 2.65 percent of all

statement obviously shows us that racial profiling is still around and affecting
people of color. In case linking an African American kid named Trayvon Martin, he
was walking thru an enclosed neighborhood with a hoodie on. Then a man named
Gorge Zimmerman shot and killed Martin for suspicion. Zimmerman obviously
profiled Martin to be an armed black man who was up to no good and shot and

Unlike anyone else the Guards wear a purple sash on their uniforms. Purple is the
Leader s Image; the leader wears this colour with a symbol of The Tool on it. The
Tool represents our struggle to escape The Horror. It is what we use to farm and
gather food. All I know of the Horror was that it happened on the surface and forced
our people to build this city underground so that we could survive. Every one must
wear a smaller symbol of The Tool as a reminder of our people s struggle. There are 5
Images, which our people belong to, as I wrote before I am part of the Brown Image

there is the Red Image, these people are inventors and finally the Black Image who

Role Of The Church In Medieval Europe
During the majority of Medieval Europe s history from 500 1300, politics,
economics, and many social features of their new civilization were mostly centered
around the church. The church was responsible for alliances within Europe,
assisting in expanding empires in exchange for protection and support. The roles
in societies usually followed a natural order of ruler versus everyone else, whether
it be a Lord as the leader or the later emergence of feudalism. The dominant role of
the church also helped socially, allowing monks especially to take on useful roles
for the rest of society. The church played many vital roles in developing Medieval
Europe. Many kings went through the church in order to create an alliance. These
alliances started with Gregory I in western Europe. He managed to encourage many
Germanic kings to convert to Christianity, and in return provided them with the
good sanction of the church. By providing this mutualistic relationship, Gregory
was responsible for making the Roman papacy a significant power in the West
(Sivers, Desnoyers, and Stow 311). This was a spark that created a flame, causing
many Medieval rulers to realize that the key to success is having the church behind
them in full support. The first Frankish dynasty was created by Clovis, who adopted
Christianity in order to receive the support of Christian bishops in Gaul. Later, in the
eighth century, the Carolingians took over all of the Frankish lands. Charles Martel,

Set in Grover s Corners, New Hampshire in 1901, an empty stage invites the viewer
to use his or her imagination to understand the actions. During the first moments,
the paperboy makes his deliveries just as the milkman. Meanwhile, at the two
family houses, the women, Mrs. Gibbs who is African American, prepares the
breakfast for her two children, Rebecca and George. Simultaneously, her neighbor,
Mrs. Webb is doing the same for her children and at the ring of a bell the children
are sent to school. These activities are repeated almost every day in both of the
houses. Following, the two neighbors gossip while sitting on Mrs. Webb s yard
and peeling beans. Because the stage is empty, the sound effects play a major part
in creating a scene that can be easily understood. The noise of glass bottles when
the milkman approaches or the whistles of the train are indispensable additions to
the scenes. Every now and then, the stage manager interrupts the action to provide
some fact either about the town itself, or about its inhabitants; therefore, she is
outside of everything that happens. Still, the stage manager had a few of rolls as a

are several other spirits that are shown, like that of he own mother in law, for
instance. At this point, Emily goes on a self reflection journey about the meaning of
life, and as she goes back to her twelfth birthday, the sight of her family, specially her

The Seven Gothic Tales By Karen Blixen Christensen
The Seven Gothic Tales is a collection of short stories that was published in 1934
by the author Karen Blixen Christensen under her pseudonym Isak Dinesen. It is a
collection of seven stories that is included among them The Deluge of Norderney,
The Supper at Elsinore, The Monkey and The Old Chevalier among others. The first
two stories listed above are the most well known of the seven talesand amongst the
authors most famous works. The book has been described as a modern classic that
contains seven stories which combine the psychological insight that is characteristic
of the short stories in the modern age with the gothic style writing that are
characteristic of the tales in the nineteenth century. Karen was a well known Danish
author who rose to prominence with the publishing of this collection of short stories
as well as her most famous piece of work, the memoir named Out of Africa.
Many of the subplots that are contained in this book deal with the issue of the

Analysis Of Alexander Solzhenitsyn s One Day In The Life...
To Know One Man is to Know a Nation Abstract: Both Alexander Solzhenitsyn and
Leonard Peltier allow the reader to see life through the eyes of one man, and
through that one man, a vision of a nation of suffering people emerges. Despite
using very different styles and genres, both One Day in the Life of Ivan
Denisovich and Prison Writings: My Life is my Sundance show the reader deep
truths about a people through the lens of one imprisoned man. To Know One Man
is to Know a Nation Leonard Peltier is a man who has been immensely wronged by
law enforcement, the government, and many white men in his life, if you believe
that his work of non fiction, Prison Writing: My Life is My Sundance, is the whole
truth and nothing but the truth behind why he is in prison. When the reader sees the
injustice he has suffered over and over again, they can t help but feel infuriated for
not only him, but for his people as a whole: the indigenous population of North
America, nay, the whole world. By reading the story of one man s journey through
this life, the reader begins to understand the way an entire people group has suffered
throughout history merely for being who they are, and you begin to ingest the way
indigenous people are continually... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Ivan goes about his day, the reader becomes aware of the long term suffering of
a people group beneath the reign of Joseph Stalin. It s impossible to miss that the
story of the individual suffering of one man is really the story of the imprisonment
and punishment of an entire generation of a people group because of what they
believe in. If anyone dissented against the government, they were jailed and set to
work, often until their death. In a way, it s the easier read of the two because it
reflects a moment in time that has passed instead of an ongoing
Important To Me
ME: Is being a good team player important to you?
HIM: I believe being a team player involves acting in the best interest of the
company, while maintaining a stake in your own best interest and career. But in the
fast paced world of Information Technology and Managed Services being a team
player is crucial for many reasons. To me, being a team player is important because it
creates synergy where the sum is ultimately greater than the parts, and this helps to
support a more empowered way of working, removing constraints which may prevent
someone doing their job properly. For my company this has also helped to promote
flatter and leaner structure, with less hierarchy.

Community Involvement Plan Research Paper
Community Involvement Plan Involving the community in education supports the
development of a healthy local economy, brightens the future, and increases the
quality of life (Family Involvement Partnership for Learning, 1995). Encouraging
parental involvement leads to increased student achievement and social skills,
decreases high schooldropout rates, and encourages higher education(Family
Involvement Partnership for Learning, 1995). Educators should plan to include
community resources in the classroom, considering their input, results for the
students, and availability. Thus, the first part of this paper explores four different

of the concepts introduced, continued opportunities for usage, and their true desire to
positively affect the education of these students. Not only would the trash free
environment approach teach young students about environmental awareness and

The Main Factors And Effects Of The Movement Of
Modernism
The movement of modernism is a movement that has been associated with the
transformation of the western societies through development of industrial societies
that then resulted to the development of cities. It is a movement that was conceived
through the need to develop after the catastrophic events of the world wars. One of
the main factors that the modernism has influenced is the aspect of architecture. The
movement was developed as a way to reject and relinquish the traditional procedures
of planning and adopting better and new methods that are capable of improving the
social condition of people .
The movement first began in Europe and later spread to the United States of America.

The Target Of This Literature Review Essay
LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 INTRODUCTION The target of this literature
review is to study what literature is presented on the research topic. This chapter
will focus on BIM, project scheduling and on how these both topics can work
mutually. The literature objective is to explore and discover what is already
researched by researchers. By reading lots of journal more knowledge is gained
and can apply to the thesis. All of the information was collected from UNITEN
library, and also from the published journals such as Science Direct, IEEE and so
on that registered with the university. 2.2 BIM Capabilities BIM is a new
technology that should be implementing on the construction industry. U.S. General
Service Administration or known as GSA is more categorical in their definition of
BIM which is: The purpose of BIM is to make the design information explicit, so
that the design intent and program can be immediately understood and evaluated. A
BIM based approach fortifies on demand generation of documents such as drawings,
lists, tables, and 3D renderings from a consistent BIM. In a sense, these documents
present views of the current BIM. A BIM model, therefore, can live longer,
contribute more to process efficiency, and provide superior accuracy than traditional
2D CAD drawings . BIM is the interpretation from traditional 2D model to 4D model
which is scheduling using database through the building lifecycle. 4D BIM model

The Electronic Toll Collection in Malaysia, Questions and...
Introduction (Maximum 2 pages)
Two decades ago, the answer of the following question of possibilities of cash
disappeared as a payment method is clearly No . Cash represents as financial
transaction of any products or services. The idea of having a cashless world has been
thinking long times ago.
The risks of handling cash are high compared to electronic money including toll fares.
The introduction of electronic payment system has created an opportunity for the
other payment system to be begun. It may be difficult for cash to be as payment
method to complete with new emerging payment system (Taylor, 2006).
The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) in Malaysia has been introduced in the year
1994 at PLUS Expressway. It has evolved since then many changes have been
made. ETC consists of system and device that must be used together. It is types of
complementary items. To use the SmartTag, users must have Touch n Go card. The
ETC penetration has been grown steadily on June 2006. The average ETC
penetration rate nationwide is 37% and 50% for Klang Valley toll highways.
Electronic Toll Collection is a technology enabling the electronic collection of toll
payments. This system is capable of determining the car is registered or not, and then
informing the authorities of toll payment violations (Khadijah and Dr. Wahid, 2010).
Example of violation that can be recorded is exemption violation and also long
journey time.
ETC is the system that offers electronics passes that can be
Oprah Winfrey is a Hero
What do you think of when you think of a hero? According to the Oxford
dictionary, a hero is a person who is admired for courage, outstanding achievements,
or noble qualities. Heroes are especially popular in Greek myths and legends. Most
showed generous behavior, even if it was not obvious until the lesson was learned.
Oprah Winfreyis one of the most generous people of our time. I believe Oprah
Winfrey is a hero because she uses her past experiences to inform, support, and
help others, uses her money, fame, and time to help people, and shows incredible
emotional and spiritual strength. Oprah Gail Winfrey grew up in a small farming
community. A nineteen year old male cousin raped her when she was nine. She
was molested by a family friend and an uncle until she was fourteen. She became
pregnant and gave birth to a baby that died soon after. She then went to live with
her father. She blamed herself for these incidents and it took her many years to
realize it was not her fault. Winfrey told her history of sexual abuse on air when
one of her guests told her story. Later, eight hundred viewers called in with their
stories and to receive referrals to counseling. Oprah had even decided to commit
suicide in September 1981. She later felt that she was not really serious about taking
her life, but she had even written a note to her friend, Gayle King Bumpus. Her
passion and commitment on the issue of sexual abuse came from her own childhood
experience, but she had not allowed her

governments prying eyes would be the basis of this site. Dreaming of a website
that would be a black market to buy and sell drugs, Ulbricht created and fostered

his bookstore, Good Wagon Books that he founded with his roommate at the time.
Ulbricht would give back to the community by hiring college students to work for

of the book selves. Once he began the Silk Road, Ulbricht attempted to keep it
secret from his family and close friends. He would tell lies and lead a double life in
order to remain under the radar. One example of this was when he was dating a girl
named Jessica. Ulbricht agonized over the fact that he could not be more intimate
with her and had to resort to deceit to keep his secrets hidden. Over time Ulbricht
would become more corrupt. Having a false sense of security from law enforcement
through the dark web caused him to become arrogant and ignorant of the things that

Timothy Ferris Contributions
Author Timothy Ferris has made many key contributions to writing in the sciences
and to science in general. These contributions include the studying of our solar system
by telescope, helping to produce the Voyager phonograph record, being a fellow of
the American Association for the Advancement of Science, winning the science
writing medal of the American Institute of Physics, and becoming a Guggenheim
fellow. Ferris has produced many scientific findings and awarded writings that have
influenced our society. At a young age, Timothy Ferris was fascinated by
astronomy and began to observe as much of the universe as possible through a
telescope. As a sophomore in high school, Ferris and a couple of friends began to
paint many pictures of the rest of our solar system. They were able to observe many
things such as the surface of Mars and the moons of Jupiter. In an interview in
newspaper from 1960, Ferris states, ... but we can see large areas of blue green
which might be vegetation and indicate planet life. (Schiner). These observations
were the first of their kind in this time period as nobody really knew what the
surface of Mars really was like. With this fascination and hunger to know... Show

A Guggenheim Fellowship is a grant awarded to those who demonstrate an
exceptional ability in the creative arts using science. This is a very fitting
description of Ferris abilities because, as quoted in an audio review of Ferris, Ferris
does more than just report what s going on in astronomy, he influences it. ( Lannan ).
The audio review continues on to discuss how many authors in the sciences simply
hop on the bandwagon and write about what others are writing about and Ferris is no
exception to this, however, he does more than just write about a similar topic, he
makes an impact with each of his writings. This is shown in the numerous awards he
has won, including the Guggenheim Fellowship
The Process Of Human Development
The process of human development is assessed to multiple phases which carry its
own distinct set of expectations in terms of emotional growth, psychological
development, physical maturation, and social awareness. When breaking down the
lifespan into stages such as, childhood, adulthood, and late adulthood; the breakdown
seeks to bring unity to the life of humanbeing, and ultimately help us to understand
the development of a person. Some people argue that developmental process
undergoes gradual changes based on gathering experiences and skills, while others
are convinced that it processed by influences by certain turnaround points. Everyone
have a different life span development. One s personal emotional and physical
development is cumulative. The nature of experience and development during each
stage of the life span will have an impact on how following stages are experienced
for better or for worst. Early adulthood is the period of greatest energy and
abundance. Even through some people have not reach early adulthood yet, they will.
Early adulthood is considered to be between the ages of eighteen and twenty five.
Development occurs from adolescence to early adulthood. Adolescence is considered
a time of confusion, uproar, and problems. While this occurs, most people emerge
from adolescence without any problems and successfully guide the changes that
attend adolescence. There are a lot of changes that take place during adolescence, but
it does not mean it is an

Violeta Curameng
Abstract In the Gulf of Mexico a variety of marine environments can be utilized by
fish. Common environments include Coral reefs and Sargassum. An assortment of fish
can inhabit these environments but which environment they live in depends on their
life history. Histrio histrio (Sargassum Fish) live in the Sargassum and Caranx
Crysos (Blue Runner) live in the open water near reefs. Natural mortality of these
species can be linked to their distribution and their life history strategies.
Introduction
In the Gulf of Mexico there are many different marine habitats that reside in its
waters. From reef environments to floating Sargassum, a diverse variety of fishes
can be found. Sargassum, is a type of brown algae that consists of two species, S.
natans and S. fluitans (Rooker 2006). Sargassum has been linked to primary and
secondary production and can also be a hot spot of production which would be an
ideal habitat for pelagic fishes (Peres 1982). Coral reefs are a habitat that are
common in the Gulf of Mexico, such as, the Flower Garden Banks (NOAA 2017).
There are also many artificial reefs in the gulf that provide shelter for many fish
species (Bull 1994). Of these habitats fish such as, Histrio histrio (Sargassum Fish)
and Caranx crysos (Blue Runner) are abundant. H. histrio can be found hidden in the
Sargassum environments while

Categories of Human Environmental Hazards
Background There are various categories of human environmental hazards: chemical,
biological, physical and psychosocial/cultural. Each, in its own way, contributes to an
overall situations or threats that affect both the environment and human life.
Sometimes a fifth category is included, mechanical, which include energy plants,
factories, etc.
Chemical Hazards Chemicals are both naturally occurring and man made. From
the environment, exposure to chemical agents in our air, water, food and soil,
have shown to be hazardous to human health causing cancer and lung disease,
metabolic issues, brain damage, and even birth defects. Essentially, these
chemicals act as toxins and poisoning, also playing a role in infectious diseases and
causing the body s immune system to break down. The World Health Organization,
for instance, believes that billions of people are exposed to chemical hazards on a
regular basis (solvents, acids, pesticides, etc.), but at different levels and differing
levels of toxicity and over differing periods of time. The exposure rate, especially
from heavy metals and agricultural waste and products, seem to be the most serious
over time, but even such products as led and arsenic can cause cancers that are
serious and attributable to environmental standards (World Research Institute, 2000).
Biological Hazards A biological hazard might be a microorganism, virus, or toxin
from a biological source that can negatively impact human health. The U.S. Centers

Transcendental Dialectic Analysis
The relational structure of Ideas The project of the transcendental dialectic is well
known. Kant s primary aim is that of warning us against the danger involved in the
misunderstanding and hypostatising of the concepts of reason.5 Nonetheless, this
section of the Critique of Pure Reason does not play a purely negative role; instead, it
furthers a positive enquiry of what Reason is, what its contents are, and what is their
purpose. These concepts, also labeled as ideas of pure reason or transcendental
ideas6, are defined as being those concepts which contain the unconditioned .7 In
other words, they are related to the transcendental premises of possible experience,
that is, to infinite and unconditioned pure notions unattainable through
Critical Analysis Of Amadeus
Perplexing, intriguing, and haunting, Amadeus leaves the viewer with an
impression of tragedy and mastery. While the film highlights the finest musical
qualities of its main character, Mozart, it primarily casts a dark and solemn tone
upon most of the story and eventually leads to his unfortunate fate. Because the
film features the point of view from the antagonist, Salieri, it attempts to cause the
viewer to sympathize with a flawed and broken character. Furthermore, the film
frustrates the viewer with the foolish decisions of Mozart, despite the best efforts
of his wife Costanza, and the lack of any moral conclusion or remorse from Salieri.
In doing this, it emphasizes realism and a brutal reality over an idealistic or hopeful
ending. In fact, those characteristics provide most of the primary merits that make
this film memorable to this day, even though the film differs vastly from actual
history. While Amadeus features a marvelous soundtrack taken from the writings of
Mozart himself and emphasizes the finest qualities of true talent, the melodies
themselves cannot dispel the final thoughts surrounding the tragic fates of both
Mozart and Salieri. While the movie contains complex twists and storyline, the plot
contains all the hallmarks of a powerful tragedy. Told from the perspective of
Salieri, the film gives his perspective on the life and death of Mozart. It shows how
Mozart rises from a child prodigy to one of the top composers in Vienna, despite his
childishness and
China s Reforms During The Soviet Union
China and Russia are both countries with strong state traditions who have favored
communist systems over the western idea of democracy. But, in the 1990 s, China
and Russia began to stray from their communist systems in their own ways. Russia
began the shift with rapid political liberalization under Gorbachev followed by the
fall of the Soviet Union. China, on the other hand, embarked on a managed transition
with step by step introduction of capitalism while the CCP remained the sole political
power. China s transition was hugely successful, experiencing astounding GDP
growth and the largest increase in human welfare in history. Russias reforms on the
other hand was a failure as the soviet lost half its territory and population. Following
the fall of the Soviet Union was an economic recession with an increase in crime and
death rates. China experienced a huge increase in human welfare while Russia saw a
huge downturn. After comparing China s and Russia s different path towards
modernization, China has seen stronger and stabled growth as opposed to Russia s
shortcomings.
Russia began its reform with political liberalization, and many believe that Russia s
failure was partly due to focusing on political reform first and they should have
begun with economic reforms which China had done. This lead to political turmoil
so severe that in 1989 1993 workers were politically neutralized and unable to stop

Divorce affects family members in many different ways, both positive and negative.
While many children can foster healthy relationships post divorce, some may
experience challenges maintaining future relationships after dealing with their
parents divorce. How can parent do this to their child? One of the most important
thing is to teach your child about building a relationship so they can be positive and
can have positive thinking about getting married to have a familyon their and work
things out with their partner in a positive way. A child to be involved in a parent s
relationship is a way to express their feelings. Or so they can insure they don t have
anxiety when they are older. According to Dr. John Duffy, Chicago based
psychotherapist and author of The Available Parent, children of divorceoften focus too
much on failed relationships and assume they will experience the same fate. Duffy
suggests that parents be clear that they believe in marriageand stress to their children
that it s worth the risk to experience a close relationship . A healthy relationship is
built by using trust children throughout the world of divorced parents have a
tendency they struggle with trust. When working through their own relationship
challenges, especially if they have witnessed a breakdown of trust between their own
parents. According to Walfish, these trust issues carry over into their future
relationships. I ve treated many teenage girls whose fathers cheated, had an
Midwest Compare And Contrast
I am going to compare and contrast the two region midwest and the west region. In a
article it stated that the Midwestern United States or Midwest refers to the north
central states of the United States of America, specifically Illinois, Indiana, Iowa,
Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, North Dakota, South
Dakota, and Wisconsin. The West, region, western U.S., mostly west of the Great
Plainsand including, by federal government definition, Alaska, Arizona, California,
Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and
Wyoming. The west region is hotter than the midwest region.
In a article it stated the west has Virtually every part of the United Statesexcept the

The Midwest remains a melting pot of Protestantism and Calvinism, mistrustful of
authority and power. While in the west there culture was like a region of cowboys,
Indians, covered wagons, outlaws, prospectors, and a whole society operating just
outside the law. as with other sections of the United States, regional boundaries are
somewhat imprecise. The West of the cowboy and the cattle drive covered many
non Western states, including Kansas and Nebraska. Much of the West s fiercest
Indian fighting took place in the Dakotas, both of which are now considered to be
part of the Middle West. Alaska and Hawaii, geographically the most western of all
the states, are really no part of the popularly conceived West at all.
In conclusion the midwest and the west region are not very much alike. But they do
have some similarities that i explained in my essay. But i believe the midwest is
more put together than the west because of its land and background of its religion and

Waist Training Ethical Issues
Waist training is a trend that has transformed the olden day Victorian corset into a
modern day waist trainer. It reshapes the lower ribs to create a small waist line.
Wearing a waist trainer may provide a boost of confidence. However, it can also
bring about many negative health effects such as the shifting of pelvic and abdominal
organs, interference with breathing and digestive process.
The first ethical issue identified is that there is no transparency in social media
marketing. It sends the wrong message to their audience that waist training is okay
when it is not. Gabriella, a 16 year old student, wears her waist trainer under her
uniform. The reason behind this is that she aspires to look like her idol, Kim
Kardashian, who actively promotes the use of waist trainer on her social media.
However, Gabriella is only able to consume salad leaves during mealtimes as her
waist trainer restricts her from consuming too much food. The loss of weight is not
due to the use of waist trainer, but rather due to the fact that it is so tight that it is
uncomfortable to eat. Negative effects of using a waist trainer is also not known to
consumers explicitly when being marketed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

So it will take Daimler AG quite a long time to return the investment.
In order to go the SAP RFID technology way, the Daimler AG needs to totally change
their current system which is called manual kanban process. In the new system, the
technique of kanban system still exists, but they are using the RFID technology to
replace the kanban card. As the result of using the manual kanban system for many
years, the staffs and employees will feel difficult and need quite a long time to adapt
to the new system and all these will reduce the efficiency at the beginning.
Also the links between the warehouses and facilities also need to be adjusted and the
adjusting time can be depend on how the project being performed for replacing the
manual kanban process. The supply chain management will require some changes
and to make all these smooth can t be done in a short time, and some problems will
occur at the starting phase.
In addition, Daimler AG is the first automotive manufacture that is trying to combine
the kanban with RFID technology with the help of SAP. Because of lacking of
experience the risks for the project is increasing and nobody can ensure that this will
be a success. If the project fails, the whole manufacturing system will be affected and
the profitability will decrease based on that situation.
All these make the implementing the SAP way not that simple as this is a pilot
project and Daimler AG is the first one
Mad Max Fury Road Themes
The main character, Leonardo DiCaprio played the lead role of Hugh Glass who
began his journey of survival when he was left for dead in a severe winter and
attacked by a bear. Similar to this theme is the film Mad Max: Fury Road, is also
an action film that focuses on Furiosa who fights for survival along with Immortan
Joe s wives and Max in trying to get the wives to a safe place known as the green
place. In a scene in The Revenant, Hugh Glass starts to get buried alive by his
enemy John Fitzgerald and is left to die. Badly wounded by the bear attack, Hugh
Glass struggles to get out of his grave but manages to get out. Throughout the film,
natural lighting was the only lighting that was used; and at this scene the

The wives are picked by Immortan Joe exclusively to make his babies. At the point
when Joe realizes Furiosa s plan, he hurries to the wives room, which the camera
shows the audience that he keeps his wives in a bank vault. The film is in high
contrast lighting that features harsh shafts of lights and dramatic streaks of
blackness, orange, and dark yellow. Cinematographer John Seale shoots this scene
perfectly. The character Immortan Joe has is back towards the camera and has a
black color tone. In the middle of the frame is an old woman who has a gun and is
under the saying we are not things, which was painted before Immortan Joe wives
left. The shot is under high contrast lighting but when the women is shot facing
towards the camera, she is shot under a little more of a litter color than the rest of
the frame. Immortan Joe is placed at the left side of the frame but is given more
dominance than the surrounding of the shot because he is shot close up, whereas
the camera focuses on the old women in a full shot and a great distance away from
the camera which makes her appear less dominant and is the main subsidiary
contrast because she is small in the frame. The wives are his most valuable property
and are an exceptional proclamation of the film s theme of human objectification. In
the time of social media, people have a tendency to consider externalization as
something that just happens to women, on the other hand, Fury Road is an
investigation of how anybody and everybody can be transformed into a thing and
burglarized of their mankind. It s

In this document, I jotted down some notes while putting together the reading
material. These notes point out some of the reading content to pay particular
attention to. The notes are divided into section headings based on the reading
material. This is not meant to be a complete list of everything that you need to know
from the reading Water in Atmosphere You should know what is meant by phases of
water and phase changes of water. Water vaporis extremely important in the
atmosphere for many reasons. A few of those reasons include Water vapor transforms

Definition of rate of evaporation. How it changes as temperature changes. Therate
of evaporationcan be defined as the number of water molecules that change phase
from liquid to gas each second. The rate of evaporation is mainly set by the
temperature of the liquid water. The higher the temperature of the liquid water, the
faster the rate of evaporation. Definition of rate of condensation. How it changes as
vapor pressure (a measure the amount of the gas water vapor above the liquid
surface) changes. Therate of condensationcan be defined as the number of water
vapor molecules that change phase from gas to liquid each second. The rate of
condensation depends mainly on the vapor pressure in the space above the liquid
surface. Thus, the higher the concentration of water vapor molecules above the liquid
surface, the faster the rate of condensation. What is meant by saturation Why will a
closed system like this always move toward saturation with respect to water vapor
You may take saturation to mean the capacity or maximum amount of water vapor
that will can exist in the air at a particular temperature. It is important to understand
that saturation vapor pressure (or the maximum amount of water vapor that can be in
the air) increases exponentially as temperature

In January I went to a seminar that was filled with tons of people. The area
consisted of smiling faces that greeted everyone at the door, notebooks in hand,

on self improvement and success. The pencils scribbling frantically on paper about

picture which enabled him to think differently than everybody else. These
individuals have revolutionized today s society and many did not believe it to be
possible in the beginning. The amount of rejection and mocking they got for
pursing their ideas, and their dreams is crazy! Yet it happens all the time. In
school, at work, and even at home we face this kind of mentality all the time.
Because of this we have placed ourselves in a comfortable state. A state where
conformity breeds, and the lack of ideas, and a lack for uniqueness occurs. My mom
has a saying in our house that fear can stand for either two things. 1. Face.
Everything. And. Run. Or it can mean: 2. Face. Everything. And . Rise. if we can get
out of the mentality of not being good enough, not being smart enough, hardworking
enough, popular enough, and so on then we can actually start improving upon
ourselves, and gaining success, and pursuing what we actually want to

Essays On Goals. 004 Essay Example Goal Essays Setting Delp Ip Resear On Worksheet Time ...

  • 1. Essays On Goals Writing an essay on the topic of goals can be a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in expressing one's thoughts coherently but also in delving deep into personal aspirations and ambitions. Crafting an essay about goals requires introspection, thoughtful analysis, and the ability to articulate one's dreams and objectives in a compelling manner. The process begins with self-reflection, forcing the writer to confront their own desires and ambitions. This introspective journey can be both enlightening and unsettling, as it necessitates a clear understanding of one's values, passions, and long-term objectives. Articulating these ideas in a coherent and engaging manner adds another layer of complexity, as the writer must not only convey the essence of their goals but also capture the reader's attention. Additionally, the challenge lies in striking a balance between specificity and universality. While the essay should be deeply personal, it must also resonate with a broader audience. Crafting a narrative that is relatable and inspiring requires finesse and a keen understanding of the audience's perspectives. Moreover, structuring the essay effectively is crucial. Organizing thoughts, experiences, and aspirations in a logical flow can be daunting, and finding the right words to convey the intended message is an ongoing process of refinement. The writer must ensure that each paragraph contributes meaningfully to the overall theme, creating a cohesive and impactful narrative. Despite the challenges, the process of writing an essay on goals offers valuable insights into one's own aspirations and motivations. It is an opportunity for personal growth and self- discovery. The difficulty lies not only in the technical aspects of writing but also in the emotional and intellectual engagement required to produce a compelling piece. In conclusion, crafting an essay on goals is a demanding but enriching task that requires introspection, effective communication, and a deep understanding of both personal aspirations and the audience. The difficulty is not just in putting words on paper but in the journey of self- exploration and the art of conveying one's dreams in a way that resonates with others. The Return Of Depression Economics And The Crisis Paul Krugman an American economist, Nobel Prize Winner and Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and is ranked among the most influential economic thinkers in the US.1 In his book The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008 Krugman examines the economic crisis of 2008. He asserts that there were many tale tell signs and warnings throughout history that could have mitigated the crisis. Krugman contends that through history all financial crisis had common elements. Greenspan and a bi partisan congress, the Glass Steagall Act which was initiated in 1933 to separate and regulate commercial banks and investment banks differently was repealed, thus allowing commercial banks to act like investment banks with little oversight.3 Without regulation to worry them, banks found a favorable environment to take on more risk than otherwise allowed. This leads into the answer of why banks would loan to people of poor risk. By missing my appointment shows them that Im not capable of taking care of myself, so without a doubt im not ready to take care of someone else or be in the leadership position. Whilst most people might believe that Dubai s economy is largely dependent on oil, many don t realise that oil currently only comprises approximately 10% of the emirates economy. These companies do have websites but the classifieds are somewhat outdated and not nearly as comprehensive as they are in print. 3. Potential Jobs When looking for a hospitality and tourism job in Dubai, there is one important factor that one must consider. Whilst Dubai might seem to have a number of different hotels and attractions, most of these are owned and run by a select number of larger hotel and resort groups (Collins, 2007). Therefore, when looking for a job and more importantly a career path, one would be wise to investigate the particular group or chain rather than the specific hotel, restaurant or resort that they may be considering. The Jumeriah Hotel Group is one of the most recognized and well established groups in Dubai. They were recently awarded the Hewitt Best Employers in the Middle East Award in 2009, and it is primarily for these reasons that all five of the potential jobs (Appendix I V) that were selected are within the Jumeriah Hotel Group. A high quality working environment is critical in any career choice, as

  • 16. Role Of The Church In Medieval Europe During the majority of Medieval Europe s history from 500 1300, politics, economics, and many social features of their new civilization were mostly centered around the church. The church was responsible for alliances within Europe, assisting in expanding empires in exchange for protection and support. The roles in societies usually followed a natural order of ruler versus everyone else, whether it be a Lord as the leader or the later emergence of feudalism. The dominant role of the church also helped socially, allowing monks especially to take on useful roles for the rest of society. The church played many vital roles in developing Medieval Europe. Many kings went through the church in order to create an alliance. These alliances started with Gregory I in western Europe. He managed to encourage many Germanic kings to convert to Christianity, and in return provided them with the good sanction of the church. By providing this mutualistic relationship, Gregory was responsible for making the Roman papacy a significant power in the West (Sivers, Desnoyers, and Stow 311). This was a spark that created a flame, causing many Medieval rulers to realize that the key to success is having the church behind them in full support. The first Frankish dynasty was created by Clovis, who adopted Christianity in order to receive the support of Christian bishops in Gaul. Later, in the eighth century, the Carolingians took over all of the Frankish lands. Charles Martel, otherwise known as

This chapter will focus on BIM, project scheduling and on how these both topics can work mutually. The literature objective is to explore and discover what is already researched by researchers. By reading lots of journal more knowledge is gained and can apply to the thesis. All of the information was collected from UNITEN library, and also from the published journals such as Science Direct, IEEE and so on that registered with the university. 2.2 BIM Capabilities BIM is a new technology that should be implementing on the construction industry. U.S. General Service Administration or known as GSA is more categorical in their definition of BIM which is: The purpose of BIM is to make the design information explicit, so that the design intent and program can be immediately understood and evaluated. A BIM based approach fortifies on demand generation of documents such as drawings, lists, tables, and 3D renderings from a consistent BIM. In a sense, these documents present views of the current BIM. A BIM model, therefore, can live longer, contribute more to process efficiency, and provide superior accuracy than traditional 2D CAD drawings . BIM is the interpretation from traditional 2D model to 4D model which is scheduling using database through the building lifecycle. 4D BIM model links to the 3D elements with the project delivery timeline

  • 40. Critical Analysis Of Amadeus Perplexing, intriguing, and haunting, Amadeus leaves the viewer with an impression of tragedy and mastery. While the film highlights the finest musical qualities of its main character, Mozart, it primarily casts a dark and solemn tone upon most of the story and eventually leads to his unfortunate fate. Because the film features the point of view from the antagonist, Salieri, it attempts to cause the viewer to sympathize with a flawed and broken character. Furthermore, the film frustrates the viewer with the foolish decisions of Mozart, despite the best efforts of his wife Costanza, and the lack of any moral conclusion or remorse from Salieri. In doing this, it emphasizes realism and a brutal reality over an idealistic or hopeful ending. In fact, those characteristics provide most of the primary merits that make this film memorable to this day, even though the film differs vastly from actual history. While Amadeus features a marvelous soundtrack taken from the writings of Mozart himself and emphasizes the finest qualities of true talent, the melodies themselves cannot dispel the final thoughts surrounding the tragic fates of both Mozart and Salieri. While the movie contains complex twists and storyline, the plot contains all the hallmarks of a powerful tragedy. Told from the perspective of Salieri, the film gives his perspective on the life and death of Mozart. It shows how Mozart rises from a child prodigy to one of the top composers in Vienna, despite his childishness and

China, on the other hand, embarked on a managed transition with step by step introduction of capitalism while the CCP remained the sole political power. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So it will take Daimler AG quite a long time to return the investment. In order to go the SAP RFID technology way, the Daimler AG needs to totally change their current system which is called manual kanban process. In the new system, the technique of kanban system still exists, but they are using the RFID technology to replace the kanban card. As the result of using the manual kanban system for many years, the staffs and employees will feel difficult and need quite a long time to adapt to the new system and all these will reduce the efficiency at the beginning. Also the links between the warehouses and facilities also need to be adjusted and the adjusting time can be depend on how the project being performed for replacing the manual kanban process. The supply chain management will require some changes and to make all these smooth can t be done in a short time, and some problems will occur at the starting phase. In addition, Daimler AG is the first automotive manufacture that is trying to combine the kanban with RFID technology with the help of SAP. Because of lacking of experience the risks for the project is increasing and nobody can ensure that this will be a success. If the project fails, the whole manufacturing system will be affected and the profitability will decrease based on that situation. All these make the implementing the SAP way not that simple as this is a pilot project and Daimler AG is the first one
  • 48. Mad Max Fury Road Themes The main character, Leonardo DiCaprio played the lead role of Hugh Glass who began his journey of survival when he was left for dead in a severe winter and attacked by a bear. Similar to this theme is the film Mad Max: Fury Road, is also an action film that focuses on Furiosa who fights for survival along with Immortan Joe s wives and Max in trying to get the wives to a safe place known as the green place. In a scene in The Revenant, Hugh Glass starts to get buried alive by his enemy John Fitzgerald and is left to die. Badly wounded by the bear attack, Hugh Glass struggles to get out of his grave but manages to get out. Throughout the film, natural lighting was the only lighting that was used; and at this scene the cinematographer used natural... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The wives are picked by Immortan Joe exclusively to make his babies. At the point when Joe realizes Furiosa s plan, he hurries to the wives room, which the camera shows the audience that he keeps his wives in a bank vault. The film is in high contrast lighting that features harsh shafts of lights and dramatic streaks of blackness, orange, and dark yellow. Cinematographer John Seale shoots this scene perfectly. The character Immortan Joe has is back towards the camera and has a black color tone. In the middle of the frame is an old woman who has a gun and is under the saying we are not things, which was painted before Immortan Joe wives left. The shot is under high contrast lighting but when the women is shot facing towards the camera, she is shot under a little more of a litter color than the rest of the frame. Immortan Joe is placed at the left side of the frame but is given more dominance than the surrounding of the shot because he is shot close up, whereas the camera focuses on the old women in a full shot and a great distance away from the camera which makes her appear less dominant and is the main subsidiary contrast because she is small in the frame. The wives are his most valuable property and are an exceptional proclamation of the film s theme of human objectification. In the time of social media, people have a tendency to consider externalization as something that just happens to women, on the other hand, Fury Road is an investigation of how anybody and everybody can be transformed into a thing and burglarized of their mankind. • 49. Essay on ATMO 336 Exam 2 Study Guide In this document, I jotted down some notes while putting together the reading material. These notes point out some of the reading content to pay particular attention to. The notes are divided into section headings based on the reading material. This is not meant to be a complete list of everything that you need to know from the reading Water in Atmosphere You should know what is meant by phases of water and phase changes of water. Water vaporis extremely important in the atmosphere for many reasons. A few of those reasons include Water vapor transforms into both liquid and solid cloud particles that grow and fall to Earth as precipitation. When water vapor condenses in the formation of clouds, large amounts of heat calledlatent heatis... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Definition of rate of evaporation. How it changes as temperature changes. Therate of evaporationcan be defined as the number of water molecules that change phase from liquid to gas each second. The rate of evaporation is mainly set by the temperature of the liquid water. The higher the temperature of the liquid water, the faster the rate of evaporation. Definition of rate of condensation. How it changes as vapor pressure (a measure the amount of the gas water vapor above the liquid surface) changes. Therate of condensationcan be defined as the number of water vapor molecules that change phase from gas to liquid each second. The rate of condensation depends mainly on the vapor pressure in the space above the liquid surface. Thus, the higher the concentration of water vapor molecules above the liquid surface, the faster the rate of condensation. What is meant by saturation Why will a closed system like this always move toward saturation with respect to water vapor You may take saturation to mean the capacity or maximum amount of water vapor that will can exist in the air at a particular temperature. It is important to understand that saturation vapor pressure (or the maximum amount of water vapor that can be in the air) increases exponentially as temperature

  • 51. Randy Haugen In January I went to a seminar that was filled with tons of people. The area consisted of smiling faces that greeted everyone at the door, notebooks in hand, and a sense of passion cascading from every voice heard within the crowd. A stage in the front of the room, and tables with chairs set up for the extensive note taking on self improvement and success. The pencils scribbling frantically on paper about to be heard once it had begun. These individuals were from all walks of life, poor, wealthy, short, tall, old and young, however, we all had something in common. We were all dreamers. We all were there because we were not content with what life had meagerly put out for us. We wanted more than the average, we weren t average, which was why... He thought out of the box, and would buy lots of oil rigs and would keep 1% of the of the revenue. He thought of a bigger picture which enabled him to think differently than everybody else. These individuals have revolutionized today s society and many did not believe it to be possible in the beginning. The amount of rejection and mocking they got for pursing their ideas, and their dreams is crazy! Yet it happens all the time. In school, at work, and even at home we face this kind of mentality all the time. Because of this we have placed ourselves in a comfortable state. A state where conformity breeds, and the lack of ideas, and a lack for uniqueness occurs. My mom has a saying in our house that fear can stand for either two things. 1. Face. Everything. And. Run. Or it can mean: 2. Face. Everything. And . Rise. if we can get out of the mentality of not being good enough, not being smart enough, hardworking enough, popular enough, and so on then we can actually start improving upon ourselves, and gaining success, and pursuing what we actually want to
