Matthew Turley proposes a documentary project titled "The Story of Bunny Bell" about a 1930s footballer who held the record for most goals scored in a match. The documentary will include interviews with Bunny Bell's daughter about his career and life using archival footage, images and documents from the time period. Turley will research documentary styles on YouTube and Netflix for production techniques. He will evaluate the project through peer and self-review, and maintain a production diary to log progress. The documentary aims to have a retro style conveying Bunny Bell's era through old visuals while keeping modern interviews straightforward.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Project proposal title and date:
The Story of Bunny Bell (29/9/21)
Main area of activity
I will make a video about Bunny Bell it will be a documentary.
Target Audience
15-40 this is mainly aimed at people who are interested in old football player and old football
players that played for their club, this why the target is so wide since football is liked by all ages,
but I think a mature audience would be interested in this content rather than a younger audience.
The age range is so wide since I think that a lot more older people will be interested in older
footballers, but I also think young adults and teenagers will be interested if they are doing research
on their favourite club and the history of the club and noticeable players.
Rationale:
The products that I have made this year have been two music videos and a video game, in all
these projects I have been using premier pro and photoshop. In my first music video I was just
starting to understand how to use premier pro and it wasn’t very good, but I gained useful skills
and a better understanding of how to use the software. My video game project helped me to
understand how to use photoshop, I also learnt how to do very basic animation on photoshop. My
final music video which I did for my FMP, I researched a lot of techniques I could use as well as
practicing on old footage and stock footage to make a mini visualiser for the music video. I would
use these skills to help me make my video by making smoother transitions and setting
up/researching styles of documentary editing. My previous music video production will have an
influence on the production of the video because it's a lot lower energy recording and editing a
documentary. I have chosen to do this project because I have an interest in my own family history
and I have a direct link to the chosen subject which was bunny bell.
Project Concept:
The concept of my project is a documentary on the life of Bunny Bell a footballer from the 1930s
who held the (record at the time) for the most goals scored in one match. I’m going to make a
documentary about bunny bell, it will go into detail about his career by interviewing his daughter
and asking about her experiences and looking at documents that she has from the time period. I
want to look at hi carrier but I will also show other parts of his life like his upbring and what he did
after his career but mostly focused on his career Research I will need to conduct will be looking at
footballer documentaries on YouTube and looking and way they are stylised and what kind footage
and images they use, I will also look at Netflix documentary's and how they make them along with
set production and editing qualities, along with the interviewee questions and how they worded
and how they don't need to the interview asking the questions. I will also create a questionnaire to
see how an audience will respond to the idea of my project and gather genral information on the
people who will be viewing my documentary. The style of my documentary will have quite an old
almost remanent look and style to it which will give a 1930s stylistic roughness which will be
achieved through old pictures from the times, the interview footage will be very simple and straight
forward to look at and consume and will look like a modern interview.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I will plan to evaluate the work by peer review along with my own personal review of my working
and looking at the pros and cons of the whole project this entails initial idea, research,
planning/preparation and production. This evaluation will help with future projects and will help me
avoid a making the same errors and will help me become more organised and will help me build
structure and method to doing my work. As well as that I will be making a production diary and will
be logging my progress over the production, and it will show my gradual progress over the whole
production.
