Knowledge society is a society where  creation ,  distribution ,  use  and  modification  of information plays an important role in culture and economy.

  7. Good afternoon. My name is Teemu Leinonen I am professor at the Aalto University in Helsinki Finland. I have done research on New Media and its use in Education for some time and have in last couple of years.
  8. Tolstoy has proposed that: “ The vocation of every man and woman is to serve other people ”.   In this presentation today I am aiming to demonstrate how I have tried to do it. How I have tried to serve other people.   My study is about design. According to Nelson and Stolterman design is not about self-expression. Design is not about self-service. Design is other-service. Design is always an attempt to serve other people.
  9. Länsimaisen kulttuurin ideaalin oppimisesta on Platonin Ἀκαδήμεια (Akatemia). Platonin Akatemiassa vapaat miehet käyskentelivät puutarhassa keskustelen filosofiasta: käsityksistään maailman ja ihmisen luonteesta sekä politiikasta. Akatemian toiminnan mahdollisti se, että vapaa mies edusti harvalukuista eliittiä, jonka elintason ja vapaa-ajan takasi laaja orja- ja naistyövoiman käyttö. Vapaiden miesten yhteisöllä oli mahdollisuus asettaa omat tavoitteensa ja järjestää itselleen oppimistilanteita.
