Between 1756 and1763, the economy of Saint Domingue gradually expanded, sugar and coffee
becoming important export crops. The colony underwent rapid expansion during wars because
it brought about a lot of demand for resources. In 1767, it exported 72 million pounds of raw
sugar and 51 million pounds of refined sugar, one million pounds of indigo, and two million

of development for different areas of the brain. A few areas that are of interest are the stress
influenced areas, which are at an increased risk for developmental problems when exposed to
maltreatment. The extra stress from such exposures can influence abnormalities throughout the
brain, which have been linked to structure changes with in the corpus callosum, anterior cingulate,
dorsolateral prefrontal, orbitofrontal cortex, and hippocampus, amygdala, and cerebellum, as well
as changes to stress related hormone systems. These structural changes are associated with an
increased risk of psychopathology and other life long educational and physiological risk.

allergies. This greatly increases efficiency in terms of patient visit times. Another benefit of an
EMR is that a doctor is much less likely to provide medication in error. For example, a patient
could currently be taking a daily dose of Aspirin, which is a blood thinner. If their doctor did not
know this medication was in use and prescribed them Warfarin, which is also a blood thinner,
they have a much higher risk of bleeding. With an EHR, this data is most likely stored in the
system, as long as the physician was aware of this. If they were, the system would alert them of
this, which would prompt the physician of this, and would not let them order the medication
without signing off, agreeing that they are aware of the conflict. There is always a chance for
human error, but with an EHR, this is greatly decreased. A negative effect of an EHR, which many
patients are aware of, is the change in visit. When paper records were in effect, the doctor could

The adversarial and inquisitorial trial systems are the two most widely used in the world, both
operating in similar but different ways. The adversarial system is a system based on the notion of
two adversaries battling in an arena before an impartial third party, with the emphasis on winning.
There are five main elements of the adversarial system; the role of the judge, the role of the parties,
the role of legal representation, burden and standard of proof and the rules of evidence of
procedure. The inquisitorial systemis a method of legal practice in which the judge endeavours to
discover facts while simultaneously representing the interests of the state in a trial. In this system,
the judge is primarily responsible for resolving the case by searching for evidence and
questioning the witnesses as opposed to the adversarial system in which the judge is a passive
recipient. In this essay I will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of both trial systems, look into a
case study of each and then conclude with which system I think is best.

The White Lady Cries Wolf in Rosewood
Rosewood is a ghost town located in Levy County, Florida. In the early 1920s Rosewood was a
developing town with churches, schools, mills and a growing population. The town was a
majority black town, but that was not much of a problem until a white lady cried wolf . Fannie
Taylor, wife of James Taylor who worked at a mill nearby, would have an affair with a white
man. Fannie and her white lover got into a physical altercation that left Fannie with obvious
bruises. To prevent from having to tell James about the affair she told her neighbors that a black
man came and attacked her. As word spread throughout the town some people added to her story
that Fannie was also raped by the black man. The thought of miscegenation is what angered the
men and led to the Rosewood Massacre. During the first week of January, 1923 in Rosewood the
angry white men formed a search group for the black man who raped Fannie. The search group
murdered nearly every black man they saw and burned down a portion of Rosewood. In 1997,
John Singleton directed the movie Rosewood , which told the story of the Rosewood Massacre.
Overall the movie was great and included talented actors like: Ving Rhames, Don Cheadle, Elise
Neal, and Esther Rolle. I personally was engaged with the film when it first started off, with the
intimate sex scene with Jewel and Mr. Wright. Sex is intriguing for almost anyone, so to start the
movie off with sex was a clever way to grab the audience attention.

An alternative solution is that one company decided to create a program to both allow mothers
time with their child while at the same time being able to advance in their careers. Inkwell
implemented a program where mothers would work almost as if part time and still have paid leave.
They would spend about 20 hours in the work week working and the rest of the time they would
spend raising their newborn. Not only does this help the woman s career keep moving, but it also

Thomas Wright, or N.T. Wright. He was born on December 1, 1948 in Northumberland, United

N.T. Wright s book, After You Believe, is mainly devoted to discussing how Christians need to act
