Punchbowl Falls
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest of the United States has ignited my passion
for hiking and being in nature. For a greater portion of my life, I have lived next to
Multnomah Falls and all the beautiful hikes that surround it. My absolute favorite
hike in the Columbia River Gorge area is Punchbowl Falls. It is 5 miles and leads
to a beautiful waterfall that people can swim in. Conquering this hike takes almost
a full day as it is mostly uphill and once people finally find the waterfall, they do
not ever wish to leave. Most of it is on a cliff s edge, which can be intimidating, but
as people hike higher, they are able to see incredible views of thousands of trees
that never end. If that isn t beautiful enough, the site of the waterfall is breathtaking.

Promp 2 Liesel Meminger was a girl that went through a lot throughout her life.
During our short time of reading about her life we saw her go through so many
emotions, struggles, and different changes. Throughout The Book Thief by
Markus Zusak we see a girls story during the time of WW2 and the Holocaust. We
read this story of Liesel Meminger and wonder how anyone could ever survive
during a time like this, because for most people this was an extremely awful time
to live in. But through his use of imagery, and other literary devices, Zukas found a
way to write a perfect book describing this girl s life and to show how genuinely
hard it was to live during this time. One of the first things we see Liesel going
through is the separation of her and her mother. Which leads to her also losing her

polls, including placements at universities such as Carleton, Dalhousie, McGill,

they define reliability as how consistent a study or measuring device is. A

Scale where participants rated their level of self esteem from 1 7. A 1 indicated
