CO2 is an important greenhouse gas (GHG) and emission of CO2 to the atmosphere needs to be
reduced in order to mitigate climate change. It is imperative to device ways of proper CO2 utilization
and storage. CO2 can be sequestered geologically as well as there are other ways of CO2 utilization
which can be economically viable in places where geological storage is not the most optimal solution.
In the present study, the primary focus is on the integration potential of two GHG abatement options,
which are geological sequestration of CO2 and biological sequestration of CO2 via microalgae
growth, harvest and conversion to bioproducts. There are several ways of microalgae conversion to an
array of products, as discussed in the previous sections. The present study aims to quantify the techno
economic tradeoffs and optimize the entire supply chain of CO2 utilization to ensure the most
economically feasible alternative of CO2 usage. A multi scale optimization framework is proposed.
The mathematical framework is provided in Figure 2. The model takes into account the design of
pipeline network for CO2 transport, different processing routes for microalgae conversion as well as
CO2 geological storage. A case study is considered to assess the optimal design of GHG capture,
storage and/or utilization for the state of Texas in United States. Such an effort will help inform
decision and policy makers the optimal pathway of CO2 storage and utilization procedures for a
particular location.

While reading Oedipus Rex my first initial reaction was wow this play is strange, but however, when I
started reading the other plays like Hamlet and Long Day s Journey into Night it started becoming
more normal that most of the plot seemed to be twisted. In Oedipus Rex it was unusual that someone

A quantitative survey consisting of eight main sections and demographic information was given to
international students at a Western United States land grant university. The survey s eight sections
assessed students level of agreement in the eight following categories: personal life, cultural concerns,
academics, university programs, health care, safety, and the International Students and Scholars Office
(ISS). The questions were evaluated on a standard 5 point Likert type scale. In addition, open ended
responses were elicited for country of origin and religious beliefs to ensure possibly answers were not
omitted by the research team. Questions were divided into the eight categories to make the survey
process easier for respondents while also preserving internal validity of the questionnaire. The survey
was sent via email through the ISS office to the entire international student population of 862 students.
63 students responded to the survey, giving a response rate of 6.54%. This was significantly lower
than the researcher s target of 25%, but the response rate was typical for this student population

What gives this metaphor life is the way the movie depicts two attitudes we routinely take toward
media. In one, we are absorbed by it; we accept its rendition of reality because it occupies our view.
We are like children whose parents define their world. The lifelikeness and seamlessness of media
fabrications and the fact that they are entertaining, help induce this attitude in us. We frequently
experience it while reading news stories and watching television and movies. In the second attitude,
we distance ourselves from media. We examine its meaning and try to understand the intentions of its
authors. This second attitude is what makes criticism and freedom possible. In life, we frequently
switch from one attitude to another and mix them together. In watching television, we may easily
become absorbed in the program. Then something will jar us out of our spell, such as a breakdown in
the illusion or the expression of ideas we disagree with. As a result, we will suddenly distance
ourselves from what we are watching, and perhaps ridicule it or suspect the intentions of its creators.
The critics of media have been trying to get us to cultivate this second attitude, so we will see through
