I enjoyed reading it, and it was very interesting to me. I agree with the author when she says the
United States needs more statues of females in our cities and towns. Women were important in
history, too! I also think it was well stated when she mentioned that as a country, we should be

One of Smarts main points is that a man is a vast arrangement of physical particles, but not, over

Smart was trying to express that the mind isn t some sort of thing that exists separate from the brain.

Japanese Americans were forced to evacuate from coastal areas following the Japanese attack on
Pearl Harbor. A massive amount of Americans who were not of Japanese descent believed that the

On Friday May 29, 2015 I talked to Diversion Investigator (DI) Frank Ringenbach, DEA case
agent, via telephone and he explained DEA s investigation of Dr. Ishida. DI Ringenbach stated
their investigation began as the result of Pharmacist Anthony Roberts, owner of the St. Charles
Health Mart Pharmacy, alerting the DEA Dr. Ishida may be mis prescribing controlled substances.

relaxers. DI Ringenbach examined six (6) prescriptions provided by Mr. Roberts. The controlled

Hey there. We were just listening to Pink Floyd s Another Brick in the Wall, Part II, album The
Wall. Too bad it didn t come out a few years earlier, like, say, 1974 when The Chocolate War was
published. We think Jerry (our hero) and the guys at Trinity high schoolmight have liked it. The
song totally makes us think of the novel s villainous Brother Leon, who tortures kids with his
sarcasm, manipulation, and his teacher s pointer at every turn.
Which brings us to why you might care about The Chocolate War. Maybe you ve had some
teachers like the kind Pink Floyd sings about in this and other songs. The Chocolate War shows how
hard this is on students (as if you didn t already know), but also what this type of school situation
teaches the students experiencing it. According to this novel, it teaches things like how to use
violence, intimidation, and manipulation. It turns kids against each other and creates a really sick
overall environment.

where it was perfect in their eyes, or to change it, because their past is full of regret. One of these
instances is the four old friends from the short story Dr. Heidegger s Experiment by Nathaniel
Hawthorne. The four, Mr. Medbourne, Colonel Killigrew, Mr. Gascoigne, and Widow Wycherly,
all had terrible pasts, and had extreme desire to go back in time to fix it, which they almost did.
The four want to change their past, and this brings about the theme of it is impossible to change
it. When the four enter the Doctor s house, they are introduced to the reader as, They were all
melancholy old creatures, who had been unfortunate in life, and whose greatest misfortune it was
that they were not long ago in their graves. Through this quote Hawthorne is pointing out they
were all failures in life. They all wished they were dead, their lives so wasted and dreary. This
shows their longing to change their past. They had been unfortunate in life, and the fact they

What Happened At The Rec Center On Campus

up at the Rec center on campus. It s not an unfamiliar location, we met at this location several

When we presented we mainly only talked about the missions of apollo and the goal of each
mission. We didn t really talk about the background of each mission like who was on the
mission and what was achieved and the small little thighs like that which we failed to explain. I
think if we had just a little bit more time we would be able to present all this information because
we were wanting to do flash cards but we did not have enough time to. I would have to say the
apollo missions are a very important to mankind because how important it was knowing that we
could actually go to another planet and be able to be able to live on the plant and maybe one day
discovering new life forms that could be just like us or very different from

Epistemological Knowing
The purpose of this study is to determine the combined relationship between connected knowing
(CK), separate knowing (SK), and epistemological beliefs with student s academic performance.
These variables look at understanding how students acquire knowledge and their attitudes towards
thinking and learning. As mentioned in the study done by Schommer Aikins and Easter (2006) this
study would provide future benefit to how students are being taught along with how to manage
their time while studying. In addition, this study could result in students acquiring better study
habits earlier on, data collected from Wood and Kardash (2003) study showed that there was a large
difference between the level of education in the participants and their level of epistemic cognition,
which means that if students were to increase their level of epistemological thinking earlier on in
their college career through workshops or seminars that taught them this way of thinking,
theoretically student s study habits and learning habits would improve significantly throughout
their time in college.
In the Schommer Aikins and Easter (2006) study they examine multiple relationships between the
ways of knowing, epistemological beliefs and variables related to academic performance. Within
the study they examined the relationship between two ways of knowing which are connected and
separate knowing with epistemological beliefs which focused on specific variables such as the
structure and stability of knowledge,
