Medical Records and Privacy of the Famous
Medical Records and Privacy of the Famous
Privacy seems to be something that many people desire, but is becoming less and less available.
With all the new technology, it is easier than ever to invade someone s privacy. With cameras
everywhere, from ATM s to people s cell phones, it is difficult for anyone to do anything that can
be kept to one s self. While privacy is a right that the average person doesn t normally struggle
with, it is a problem that celebrities encounter everyday. Paparazzi are constantly following these
famous people around as they do their everyday things like shopping, playing with their children,
partying, or simply hanging in their homes. It is basically the price to pay to be famous. While these

It is obvious that celebrity news is an outlet that sells, as seen by the numerous tabloids and
entertainment shows. The public has an interest in what is going on in the lives of these rich and
glamorous people. This brings on a form of mediated voyeurism, which can be defined as, the
consumption of revealing images and information about others real and unguarded lives, not always
for the purpose of entertainment but frequently at the expense of privacy and discourse, through the
means of the mass media (Calvert, 2000). Basically saying that the public has a need to see these
famous people and learn about their lives, even at the risk of invading their privacy. The tabloids
simply exploit the public s desire to learn these things, regardless of the ethical issues of invading a
human being s privacy. They know people will buy it and that they will make money.
I think that to be an ethical journalist it is important to empathize with the person whose life is
about to be splashed on the papers. Of course there is the matter of getting the story and pleasing
the readers and the editor, but it should take into account the public s real right to know. A story
about the health of someone like the President of the United States might be something worth
printing, because knowing how he is medically is of public interest because this is a man that is
running the country.

Essay about Ambiguity in Young Goodman Brown
Had Goodman Brown fallen asleep in the forest and only dreamed a wild dream of a witch
meeting? (387) The story Young Goodman Brown is portrayed as a straight forward tale of a
man on a venture. It is not overly difficult to comprehend or interpret, however it does have
several great ambiguities. As Hawthorne s tale has a great deal of symbolism, it is all in
retrospect to the ambiguous entities within the tale. The formalistic approach will be used to
analyze the ambiguities in the story, mainly focusing upon the use of dark and light contrasts. The
questions of why did Goodman Brown leave his wife Faith and venture into the forest and was his
journey into the forest a reality or a dream bring a grand weight of ambiguityupon the... Show more

This could be his way of proving himself worthy in some way due to the fact that he say that
neither his father nor his grandfather had completed his task at hand. The second idea is in the
reasoning that Hawthorne had simply utilized it as the setting and forged the story around the
forest and its characterized darkness and evil notions compared to that of the town which is light
and absent of evil until Goodman Brown returns. This is a definite formalistic observation in the
contrast of forest and the town. The forest is used as a setting which Hawthorne utilizes to expose
the faults in all of mankind, including the self professed religious. No matter which way you
believe, Hawthorne has successfully left the issue as a mystery and an undeclared element of the
narrative.
Then comes the second impending question of whether or not the story even happened; whether or
not the tale was a dream, or an actual occurrence in the life of Goodman Brown. Entering the text,
there is no conclusive evidence of a dream state. It states, Young Goodman Browncame forth at
sunset, into the street at Salem village. (375) Simply speaking, Goodman Brown sets forth upon a
journey complete with a clearly stated beginning and an end. However, the middle is left for one to
question. Once in the forest, the story begins to offer characteristics that would not relate to a
truthful tale in the conscious state by Goodman Brown. This mostly due to Goodman Brown
encountering

Over The Time Of This Course Writing Portfolio Essays Has
Over the time of this course writing portfolio essays has really helped me. My favorite highlights
of my essays include: Character Education, The Power of Technology, and Statistics in the
Classroom. Character education defines how a child should act morally and is one of the most
important lessons to learn in a classroom. Parents have to teach right from wrong, but teachers
spend large amounts of time with their students and need to enforce what parents have taught to
their children. The power of technology highlights the expanding use of devices rather than usage
of textbooks and pencils. I learned that language development is crucial at a young age and I think
the introduction of words can be done respectively through technology.... Show more content on

Every math lesson and reading assignment can be resourceful someday in your future. Every
little detail your teacher decides to tell you about is important otherwise he/she would have
never bothered to say it. Listen and learn because teachers are trying to prepare you for your
future out in the real world. Trust your educators, they have experienced more. Take every bit of
your education and soak it all in. The role of a teacher is very complicated. Teach your students
academic values in unique ways that each individual student can understand. Teach students about
morals in classroom settings and real world settings. Prepare your students to progress in
education. Tell them your expectations and future expectations so their are no surprises and few
conflicts. Make your students feel comfortable in your classroom and tell them when you are
available if they need anything. Break educational standards, make learning enjoyable instead of
required. Be that teacher that everyone loves, it will make the job so much more rewarding and
might give some of your students something to look forward to each day. Most importantly, keep
your students safe. Protect them from themselves, their peers, and those on the outside of the
school walls. That is your most important job as a educator. As a parent you should have circle of

Hydrogen And Hydrogen As A Fuel
Introduction
Hydrogen is proven to be the most efficient furl because of its abundance and the production of
harmless bi products as compared fossil fuel. Despite the abundance in its natural existence,
Hydrogen can also be obtained through processes such as the electrolysis of water and methanol
steam conversion. Hydrogen as a fuel is capable of the replacement of most of the other sources of
energy. However, Hydrogen faces numerous obstacles to its entry into the economy and the
utilization by human beings. The technology to contain and manage hydrogen as a fuel is already
present. However, the hindrances bar the launch of hydrogen as a basic fuel. The essay discusses
the various obstacles to the hydrogen economy such as the market entry issues and issues related to
policies.
Thesis statement: The government ownership of fossil fuel reservoirs and gas outlet companies is
the main obstacle to the launch and adoption of the hydrogen economy.
Background and history The use of hydrogen as a fuel requires the adoption of the fuel cells
technology for their role in the reaction activity between hydrogen and hydrogen for the production
of energy. The fuel cells convert more of their energy potential from the fuel source as compared to
the regular gasoline fuels. The insignificance of the impact caused by the bi products of such
reactions makes it the much better option than the fossil fuels that face the threat of exhaustion.
However, the adoption of hydrogen as the primary

John White Roanoke Colony Analysis
Imagine, a small colony of about 110 people peacefully getting settled into their new lives in
North America only to vanish three years later without a trace. This was a reality for John White
as the only thing he came back to in the colony of Roanoke was the word CROATOAN and the
mystery of their disappearance. In 1587, John White and a small band of people set foot on
Roanoke Islandand formed a colony. This colony was made up of about 110 English men, women
and children, and although small, they ran through their supplies very quickly. Just a few short
months after they had settled, Governor White hesitantly decided to return to Englandfor much need
support and goods, leaving his family and colonists behind. Unfortunately for him, the day he
set sail was the last day he ever saw them. John White s decision to return to England for supplies
was made at a bad time for the country. Upon his arrival Britain was facing an impending
invasion by the Spanish Armada and he found himself trapped in England because of this crisis. It
took two years for the English to defeat the Spanish Armada, and by the time the fighting was over

Concentration Camps Of The Second Anglo-Boer War
One of many forms of oppression the British practiced during the Second Anglo Boer War was the
use of concentration camps. Both blacks and whites were placed in the camps, and were required
to perform unpaid labor. However, the black and white camps were segregated, and the treatment of
the inmates in the black concentration camps was vastly different from the white camps. Less
rations were given, and less maintenance was performed on the camps, leading to starvation and
poor living conditions. Even after the war, when the white concentration camps had been
transferred to civilian control, the black concentration camps still remained under military
command (Pretorius). Though many Boers and British believed the war to be a white man s war ,
blacks continued to be segregated and oppressed in order to profit off of their labor and gain
advantage in battle. Many blacks fought on the side of the British, believing they would receive
education and more economic opportunities with a victory by England ( Role ). Regardless of what
side the natives took, the eventual outcomes of the war still prevented them from reaching true
equality with the soldiers they fought with at the turn of the twentieth century. Subtle rules and
regulations were implemented as a treaty between the English and Boers prevented blacks from
ever escaping the European induced living conditions. The stipulation in the Treaty of Vereeniging

The Cons of the Reverse Hearing Loss
Results May Take Longer To Materialize
Reversing hearing loss through natural methods may take longer than three weeks. That s why you
really have to be patient and dedicated in following this treatment plan.
Our recommendation will be to stick to the Reverse Hearing Loss plan for at least 4 5 weeks
before making any conclusions.
Not For Hearing Loss Present At Birth
Congenital deafness could be due to a number of reasons, which could be genetic or nongenetic. It
s more complicated to treat, and we don t think this Amish remedy could help reverse this type of
hearing loss. Before you start following the Reverse Hearing Loss program you may want to
consult a qualified healthcare provider to know the treatment that s most appropriate for you or
your child.

Nature Overcomes Man In Jack London s To Build A Fire
Nature overcomes man. Jack London, the author of To Build a Fire, depicts this theme in his
short story. In To Build a Fire London s character who has no given name travels Yukon with no
one but his Husky to meet some of his friends. Despite warning to not travel alone in such frigid
temperatures, he makes the journey anyways and finds himself at the mercy of mother nature. In
such cold circumstances and having stepped in water, the man attempts to build a fire. Having
failed to start a fire to thaw out his hands and feet, he grows anxious and runs around trying to
bring the feeling back into his limbs. A realization dawns on the man that he is going to die, so he
calms down and decides to die with dignity. He lays down and meets his end as his husky watches
nearby. London uses his characters survival instincts, the story s setting, and the husky to illustrate
the theme: humankind cannot overcome nature.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the man grows fearful and he begins to accept that his attempts to build a fire were of no use,
he starts thinking through his options. Having remembered an old tale at the sight of his husky,
he decides to kill the animal and defrost his hands inside of it until he is able enough to start a
fire. He got a hold of the animal but not long after he realize[s] that he [can] not kill the dog. There
was no way to do it. With his helpless hands he could neither draw nor hold his sheath knife nor
throttle the animal (London, p. 608). London presents his theme through the characters survival
instincts. The character has a solution but even with this choice nature is still too powerful to
overcome, because his fingers were so frostbitten and numb that he was unable to grip the knife or
the dog to save himself. Similarly, the story s setting is another aspect that London uses to show the
overwhelming power of

Case Study Of Senator Sanders
TAIWO OLADUNNI. The two potential reasons why Senator Sanders supports increasing top
tax rates is so as discourage greed which is broadly defined as extracting income at the expense
of the rest of the economy as opposed to real productive behavior. This plan would result in an all
in tax rate of over 65% on income between $500,000 and $2 million which would definitely push
rates near the revenue maximizing level. Mr. Sanders tends on counting on those high incomes to
generate the high receipts needed to fund his single payer health plan which is a problem. The other
reason is that higher taxrates on the highest earners can generate revenue to pay for new programs,
and they can encourage a more equal distribution of pretax income

Beauty In America Research Paper
Just because the definition of beauty in America is to be like a Barbie: tall, slender, and gorgeous,
does not mean that is the same definition in other countries. To be called beautiful in Thailand, one
must have light, fair skin to be labeled as an attractive individual. Instead of spending money on
tanning products like Americans do, Thais spend money on products that have whitening agents in
them such as lemon juice (Magnesi). In Japan, a person who is considered beautiful has a clear,
smooth complexion and stick straight hair (Magnesi). Japanese women that have wavy, or curly

were curvy, and fleshy were considered to be the most attractive. Paintings from the renaissance
show women that would now be considered overweight in our time, but at that time they were
considered the epitome of sexy (CITE). Also, in the renaissance, women believed the lighter the
hair, the better. They strived for a pale face, and deep red lips (CITE). However, the women of
the Victorian era were much different than the renaissance women. They were very conscious
about their bodies, and beauty meant having the smallest waistline humanly possible (CITE). To
achieve this small waistline, women wore corsets. Their corsets were so tight that women could
barely breathe, and sitting down was out of the question (Cite). As for makeup in the Victorian
era, only high class women were expected to wear makeup sparingly. Bold colors were
considered to be uncouth, and reserved for prostitutes (cite). In the 1920 s instead of tight corsets
to show off their curves, women wore loose dresses, and some even bound their chests with a cloth
to achieve a boyish look (cite). Going

Persuasive Essay On Multitasking
Multitasking entails having different work activities and shifting attention from one task to another
all at one time. Being able to meet the standards of several different situations without dropping the
ball. The danger in multitasking is that effectiveness can be dangerous if someone tries to carry out

Is Cheerleading A Sport Essay
Is Cheerleading a Sport? A lot of people do not consider cheerleading to be a sport. When most
people think of cheerleading, they think of pretty girls in skirts, waving pompons, cheering for

Elizabeth Blackburn Research Paper
Elizabeth Blackburn is an amazing woman; who comes from a family of physicians. She has
always had a passion for animals and science; she found biology to be her favorite subject in
school. She was fascinated by the visual impacts of science through books. Perhaps, it is her
enthusiasm for biology that inspired her to be one of the leading biochemists today. Elizabeth
helped in the discovery of the fountain of youth. Elizabeth and two of her colleagues discovered a
way for chromosomes to be copied during cell division. Within this discovery, they also found a
unique DNAsequence in the telomeres that protects these cells against degradation. In 2009, Dr.
Blackburn was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
Blackburn was born in 1948, in the city of Hobart in Tasmania, Australia. Elizabeth is the second

A Brief Note On Wildlife Photography, And For Good Reason
Wildlife photography is a very popular area to specialise in, and for good reason. It gives you a
great excuse to spend extended periods of time outdoors, keeps you fit, and allows you to
develop a real appreciation for the natural world. But it can also be a very challenging field too,
especially since your subject is often running away from you! I m going to share with you 15 of
my top tips so that you can start improving your wildlife photos straight away. Hopefully by the
end of this article you ll have learnt something new that will help you on your journey to becoming
the next Art Wolfe. 1. Shoot on Eye level When you re standing up and shooting an animal on the
ground, your angle of view is pointing downwards. This detracts from the photo, making the
perspective seem strange. It also decreases the distance between the subject and the background,
getting rid of your chance for that nice, soft bokeh (background). Instead, get onto eye level with
your subject. It brings the viewer down onto the animal s level, creating a much more interesting
perspective. It will most likely increase the distance between the subject and the background too,
removing distracting elements by throwing the backdrop out of focus. 2. Learn About Your Subject
Getting to know the animal you re photographing can be a really helpful trick. If you know about
an animal s typical behavioural traits, then you will be able to predict movements or particular
things you can focus on capturing.

This short term action yields long term benefits.
Some of the problems which may be addressed in the PR statement can be seen in my twenty four

inexperienced entrepreneurial leadership. Two, the dialectic nature between front of house and
back of house, and three, a lack of general training motivation and direction in original concept.
Now I shall divulge onto you my complete analysis of the information that you have provided to

being the second highest revenue earning outlet in 2009 to the 4th in 2011 is alarming in itself. A
rough two hundred thousand dollar loss in takings, in two years, should have sounded the alarm
bells for the Managing Directors and more importantly Marcus Vesty.
This ties in significantly with the fact that the concept from opening of the Abbey in 2009 has

In China, Why Piracy Is Here to stay
LEARNING TASK 1:
INDIVIDUAL NEWS ARTICLE ANALYSIS
In China, Why Piracy Is Here To Stay Introduction:
The focus of this article is to address about the digital piracy problem happening in China. The
problem of Piracy exists ever since the birth of copyright law. Never the less most of the countries
do have certain amount of digital piracy problem going on. Piracy cannot be easily controlled,
hence comes the copyright laws and digital piracy law into action.
Summary:
China is largest and developed country in the world and where piracy prevails since very long
and still to continue. Before it was in the form of material copying and today it exists as digital
copying. Therefore, there is a strong call for a more powerful copyright protection. Piracy is a
serious ethical problem in China. China is getting more concern on the piracy now than the past.
Piracy is an illegal duplication and distribution and selling of copies of the materials copyrighted,
without the permission by law ( Digital piracy, 2011). Today, the term is universal and is used not
only in relation to books but also for music, movies, software, pharmaceuticals and inventions as
well as other intellectual properties.( Adrian Johns, 2011),

Systems Administration and Network Administration
Systems Administration and Network Administration Systems administration and network
administration are, in many respects, very similar jobs. Both positions are highly involved in
maintaining the computer systems in an organization, and, in some smaller firms, the position may
be handled by the same individual. However, while there are significant similarities between
systems administration and network administration, there are differences in the roles as well.
Basically speaking, system administration focuses on computer systems and networks, while
network administration looks at maintenance and upkeep of the hardware and software that
composes the network (Entrance Exams 2012, 2012). Because there is obviously an overlap
between the two different job descriptions, it can be difficult to understand why it is so important
for information technology professionals to differentiate between network and systems
administration. However, when one understands the different roles of the two different positions, it
becomes clear that, why they might overlap, and why a single individual might be able to handle
the position in a small organization, there are actually substantial differences between the two
positions. Particularly in a large organization, the two jobs may need to be handled by different
professionals with different skill sets. It is because of these different skill sets that the industry has
been so adamant about differentiating between systems and network

Alexa Lindauer, Janet Foley, Deana Clifford, Rob Klinger Introduction:
The Amargosa vole, Microtus californicus scirpensis, is a critically endangered rodent, endemic to
the Amargosa Basin near Death Valley, California. This water dependent species persists in a
naturally fragmented wetland ecosystem, that has existed since the end of the Pleistocene
(Neuwald 2010). However, due to California s historic four year drought and anthropogenic
changes, the patchy ecological makeup has been aggravated to extreme limits. The habitat loss
and exasperated fragmentation has drastically altered the wetland community and constricted the
riparian habitat to less than 20km2 (Foley 2013). This regime shift has forced the Amargosa vole
to live in small, isolated populations and has left the species vulnerable to disease (Ott Conn et al.
2014; Hess 1996; Morshed et al. 2005), and the effects of genetic drift and inbreeding (Neuwald
2010). Consequently, the altered hydrology has increased the potential of the voles extirpation with
the one year extinction risk as high as 10% (*).
For the successful recovery of an endangered species, accurate monitoring of occupancy and spatial
distribution must be conducted to better understand the factors that limit their occurrence
(Brubaker 2013). Thus one objective of the ad hoc Amargosa vole team and the CDFW funded
DRIP project undertaken in 2016

Channel Island Fox Research Paper
Channel Island Fox (Urocyon Littorals) The animal I was given for this assignment was the
Channel Island Fox. They are considered to be near extinction animals with nearly about 2,500
fox left (last checked 2008). The Channel Island Fox is a type of fox that only lives on the
Channel Islands, which is located around the coast of Southern California in about 19 to 61 miles
away from the continental state. On a clear day in California, many visitors have the chance to
see the islands over the shores. Within the eight islands, only six of the islands have the Channel
Island Fox on their land. The six islands are San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Santa Catalina,
San Nicolas and San Clemente. Each island has different features which has given each island fox
a different trait compared to each one, but they are still considered as Island Fox.... Show more

Chris Lee Invasion Of The Bodybuilders Summary
Invasion of the Bodybuilders is an article where the author, Chris Lee, discusses the image of the
Macho mans as an ideal for the American people. Throughout his article, he tries to emphasize
that bodybuilders are regular people, yet the public sees them as people with super powers. For
years, bodybuilders have been role models for Americans of all ages. Furthermore, bodybuilders
embodied the image of a muscular superhero who has the strength to do anything, so people
started changing their culture and lifestyle, driven by the desire to become more and more like
their idols. At the beginning of the article, the author brings to the public attention that the culture
of machoism is back and it s making the U.S.A. feel good again . These bodybuilders are often
called gym rats just because they spend a good amount of their time in the gym, working on
sculpting their bodies. The author mentions many actors who went through rigorous training
programs to increase their muscular mass for some roles in movies. One of those actors is Jason
Momoa, who gained about 30 pounds only to get a part in the movie Conan the
Barbarian. Another star who endured months of painful training was Chris Evans, who is now
globally famous for his role in Captain America. Their colleague, Ryan Reynolds also suffered
radical transformation just to become the superhero in the movie Green Lantern. 1
All of these and many more actors spend hours and hours in the gym to build their body for a role
that they need to fit in. But, in reality with bodybuilding they aren t just trying to become
physically fit for the role; they are creating an image of a superhero that can fight anything to
defend the people. Basically, with their roles, they are transforming an ordinary person into a
unique character, and often that fictitious character can inspire generations. Meanwhile, there are
multiple examples of super dudes that try to build their careers by selling false illusions to the
people. Actors such as Vin Diesel from Fast and
Furious and Chris Hemsworth from Thor ended up building too much muscle and having their
biceps compared to the size of canned hams . Also, Arnold Schwarzeneggerand Sylvester
Stallone were both

Memory Retention Of The Presentation Information And Those...
We found that there was no significant difference between the memory scores of those who thought
they had to teach the information and those who were told nothing. Yet, a consistent trend was
found with both dependent variables. Although the trend does not fall within the confidence band,
it can be considered a consistent trend because it is constant for all four different conditions. Refer
to Figure 2, the memoryscores were consistently lower when white noisewas present, regardless of
which condition the participants were in. In addition, the anxietylevels were slightly higher when
white noise was present regardless of active or passive condition, refer to Figure 3. Our null
hypothesis states that there will be no significant difference in memory retention of the presentation
information between those who are told they must teach the presentation right after and those who
are not told anything, and there will be no difference in anxiety levels when noise is introduced into
the classroom. However, our study tested the hypothesis that the potential of having to speak
publicly would enhance memory retention. Yet, our results proved otherwise.
Opposite to what we hypothesized, the memory for all four groups remained relatively consistent
with one another with respect to the active and passive conditions. Anxiety did not have a major
impact in boosting memory performance, even when white noise was in the background. We found
that from the perspective of the student,

How does American society define one s self worth? By how they look, what they drive or simply

Different Methods For Harmonic Distortion
INTRODUCTION
Different detection methods for harmonic distortion already exist, but the following shortage make
them did not reflect fully the influence of harmonic on distribution system [4]: Don t consider the
progressive effect of harmonic current on the energy dissipation in distribution system. Don t
distinguish the direction of harmonic distortion. Does the customer with nonlinear Loads pollutes
the distribution system or the utility background harmonic pollutes the customer with linear loads?
Harmonics represents a financial lamb to customers who do not generate them, so the harmonic
distortion penalty should be inclusive in a utility s rate structure.
In the present, the tariff of the electrical energy is based on the traditional concepts of active,
reactive, and apparent power, and related power factor. These concepts are well defined for
sinusoidal conditions. Unfortunately, in non sinusoidal conditions, these traditional definitions of
power component are not reliable anymore.
The paper concerns with this matter, and aims towards the development of an adequate method
dealing with the possibility of determining the responsibility of the harmonic distortion through
billing quantities . The authors have presented some research that established the idea of this paper,
as follows: The definitions of power components under non sinusoidal conditions in Ref. [2], which
include some parameters for the correct attribution of responsibility between customers and

Obese Target Audience
The two audiences we ve chosen are those who are obese/overweight and those who are just
trying to lose weight for health/fitness reasons since it is a preventive approach. Sugar plays a
big factor in weight gain making them predisposed to getting heart diseases, diabetes, cancer and
etc. Canadian Cancer Society states that being obese can significantly alter sex hormones and
insulin levels which increase the likelihood of developing breast, colon or uterine cancer
(Canadian Cancer Society, 2015). WHAT WHY? (Social media platforms) 1. An educational
video clip that can be uploaded on YouTube or posted/shared on Facebook this would increase
our audience because these platforms are widely used by people across the globe and thus an

The Curious Enlightenment Of Professor Caritat Analysis
The Curious Enlightenment of Professor Caritat, written by Steven Lukes. Towards the finale of the
novel, Lukes briefly introduces a new collective set of characters to his audience. These new
characters are environmentalists. Lukes did not simply add these characters to fill up empty space
in his story plot. However, Lukes did this intentionally to have the environmentalists to be the
symbolic embodiment of enlightenment ideas. In addition, Lukes also wanted to install a stark
contrast between the enlightenment, and the other philosophies discussed in the novel.
The environmentalists are in a fact a reflection of enlightenment ideas. Here is a quote from the
text, to further enforce my prior claim. (pg. 13, Kant) Enlightenment is thinking ... Show more

Wound Healing Essay
The healing of wounds particularly chronic wounds is currently an important area of research. With
more than 6.5 million patients in the United States dealing with chronic wounds, and $25 billion
spent yearly on treatments (Sen et al, 2009), a better understanding of the wound healing process is
beneficial to a wide range of patients dealing with wounds related to accidents, burns, and disease
processes. It has been suggested that therapeutic strategies to promote wound healingmight focus on
immune systemmodulation (Julier, 2017). The overall progression of a healing wound involves
multiple types of cells, cellular processes, and growth factors (Strbo, 2014). However, significant
contributions come from the response of the innate... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Godwin Rosenthal, 2014). Additionally, research has demonstrated that during wound healing,
changes occur in the thymus (the organ in which T cell maturation occurs) revealing increases in
thymus size, changes in morphology, and proliferation of a variety of immune cells within the
medulla (Franchini Bertolotti 2014).
Research Goals
We propose to study the relationship between the thymus, T cells, and wound healing by
performing larval thymectomy to generate T cell deficient tadpoles and frogs. Alternatively, many
studies have demonstrated that mice missing the recombinase activating gene (RAG) are deficient
in functional B and T lymphocytes (Thompson, 1992; Mombaerts et al, 1992; BelizГЎrio, 2009).
Our study can be accomplished by the use of RAG knockout frogs, which we hope to obtain.
Regardless of the method of obtaining T cell deficient tadpoles and frogs, wound healing will be
evaluated by a combination of molecular and histological techniques. Our goal is to better
understand the role T lymphocytes have in wound healing.
Research Plan
Generating tadpoles and frogs without a thymus Microscope guided electrocautery of the thymic
lobes will be performed on early stage (Niewkoop Farber, NF, stages 42 48) tadpoles. The
procedure will consist of first anesthetizing the tadpole, then using sharpened tungsten wires
connected to an adapted power supply to pierce the thymic lobes and perform

3rd Crusades Dbq
The 3rd Crusade, also known as the King s Crusade, began in the year of 1189 and ended in
1192. This crusade is considered as one of the most successful crusades. The aim of the 3rd
Crusade was to recapture Jerusalem, commonly regarded as the Holy Land, from the Muslims.
Saladin, the ruler of the Muslims, was the sole enemy in this military campaign.
The Crusade originally began due to a religious passion by both King Henry II of England and
King Philip II of France. They agreed to end their conflicts with each other in order to lead a new
crusade. However, in 1189, Henry died, leaving the role of Leader of the Crusades to his successor,

Due to disagreement over the ownership of the newly conquered city, Philip, who was in poor

organisations and stakeholders, LRQA will help to improve other organisations management
system and business at the same time. LRQA Business Assurance approach allows assessment to be

Social Media Controversy
Action Essay: Social Media s Influence on Television Social media is the use of websites or
applications that enable users to create or share content. The influence of social media has grown
in the past decade to the extent that some people consider it a source of reliable information. It is
taken from what they heard and shared between family, friends, and strangers. The information that
is posted on social networks are not checked and instead are taken as fact and then are given to
someone else as news. This cycle continues until the truth is no longer known unless accessed by
the news. The problem with this is giving information that even the writer is not sure of, will only
lead to confusion and controversy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Social media by itself is not a threat, for it was created for the purpose of entertainment, like
television. Although television also holds the important job of conveying information using the
news. In our current times, social media is the new method of obtaining information quickly
about events. Even though when most people search social media rather than actual news
companies, they do not realize how unreliable it truly is. Twitter especially is credited with
playing a role as a source of credible information. It has evolved far beyond its origin of being a
simple way to keep in contact with friends. In a recent study done by ING, it was shown that one
third of journalists said social media posts are not a reliable source of information. When news
of recent events is given on Twitter, it is called into question because it is unable to be
determined how true it is. As stated by Johnson and Kaye we must rely on the credibility of its
user. This proves that social networks are not credible sources at all and Twitter is a social
network so how can it be trusted? Even knowing this, we still consider consumer opinion to be
more reliable than a statement by an organization. If social media continues to do the job of the
news not only will television be affected because of the lack of viewers, but we the people will no
longer know what is actuality or lies. No one likes to be lied to, so why

Oroonoko Analysis
Aphra Behn s Oroonoko is arguably one of the most tragic novels in British Literature. The love
story of two enslaved Surinam nobilities, who both meet their atrocious end, depicts shameful
european history in regards of slavery. The words painted white men as vile creatures who were
known to be dishonest and ruthless. Though one may say Behn s work brought light to a subject so
taboo, others argue that the novelplays into a racial narrative that minorities have struggled for
centuries to break free from. While Behn s explicit use of language expressed her disapproval of
colonists, I believe her work embodied the notion of whitewashing the text gain approval of a
particular group. Considering the fact, that Behn was the first women to live by her pen, and broke
cultural norms, it is unclear if her intention was enclosing a shock factor, or exercising her ability
to challenge societal norms for the greater good. Oroonokodescribes how individuals are unable to
be free people who grow intellectually and ethically, instead slaveryholds these prisoners captive
leaving them a shell of a person. Living in a european world where ignorance is used a bondage to
restraint individuals from comprehending the severity of slavery, and the impact these texts have
made has shaped ideological forces that shouldn t be disregarded. When deconstructing the text, I
believe Alpha Behn s story of Oroonoko falls under racisms constrained view and exhibits an
unschooled thought in correlation of

Analyse the factors that contributed to the emergence of a workers opposition movement in
Communist Poland in the period 1956 1981.
After World War II, the official communist party dominated all aspects of Polish politics, which
soon became an issue with not only the working class of the country, but also the intellectual and
educated Polish community. Between 1956 and 1981, there was an emergence of workers
opposition against the communist party in Poland due to the blatant oppression and desperate
living conditions of many of the Polish workers and their families. Workers demanded rapid change
in policy from the party because the workers believed the government had ... Show more content on

(Doc 4) The intellectual and party member support helped the workers movement gain serious
momentum. A major factor in the emergence of the workers opposition movement also was the
support of the Catholic Church and the Pope specifically. In September of 1976, the bishops of
the Catholic Church in Poland called for the government and party to fully respect civil rights and
conduct a real dialogue with society while also demanding that they stop all repression of workers
involved in the protests of June 1976. (Doc 5) The fierce and somewhat scolding tone in which the
demands are made show the Catholic Church s unwavering support for the Polish workers
opposition. It is not surprising, however, that a group of Catholic bishops would demand better
treatment for the Polish workers because, as members of the church, they would naturally be in
favour of social justice. The value of having the Catholic Church support the movement manifests
itself in the fact that the Polish communist party begins to require all teachers to tell students that
the pope is an enemy and dangerous man who only wishes to charm the crowd. (Doc 7) This
response to the pope s support demonstrates that the party itself realised that the church could have
tremendous impact on the turnout of the opposition. By the 1980s, a coalition of independent trade
unions, known as Solidarity, was established in Gdansk. The photograph of Lech Walesa and other

Haggai, Zechariah, And Malachi
While there is some speculation in regards to the authorship of Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi,
the general scholarly consensus is that all three share titular authors. Haggai and Zechariah were
contemporaries; however, while Haggai s messages were only in a short period in 520 b.c.,
Zechariah s ministry stretched from 520 b.c., until after 480 b.c. Malachi was likely a
contemporary of Nehemiah, and it is likely that his book was written in 433 b.c., right after
Nehemiah returned from Persia. (NIV Study Bible)
Haggai is divided into four different messages: He begins with a call to rebuild the temple,
explaining how the people s refusal to rebuild the Lord s house has brought curses upon them. He
then encourages the people in his second message, instructing the people ... Show more content on

His third message largely addresses the principles of being unclean. Haggai s final message
speaks to Zerubbabel of the eventual defeat of the Gentile kingdoms that have opposed Israel for
so long. It is in this message that he reveals that Zerubbabel is chosen of the Lord. Zechariah is
also divided into four sections. It begins with a call to repentance, then later describes eight
separate visions Zechariah has in the same night. The second section ends with an oracle about
Joshua. The third message of Zechariah rebukes the people for how they have turned away from
God. It explains how the Israelites have ignored God in their rituals and placed more importance in
the rituals themselves than God. The final area of Zechariah is about two oracles. One concerns the
coming and subsequent rejection of Christ, then the second coming and reception of

Underachievement Among College Students
High achieving students have always been considered the creme of the crop and to be fully
prepared for college. However, studies, like the one that took place at Queen Mary College, have
shown that this is not always correct. In Underachievement Among College Students Megan Balduf
discusses how high achieving students struggle in collegebecause they never had to try in
highschool, and thus did not develop the necessary skills like: time management, ability to adjust to
independent life, and good studying skills, skills that are essential for success. This study is
important because it looks first hand at what is causing gifted underachievers to not meet their
potential and it also focuses on a group that is often left out from gifted underachievement studies:
college students. Underachievement is a colossal issue because it is attributed to students not
receiving the assistance and having the motivation they require to succeed. Two of the... Show more

Since the courses were not extensively challenging the students failed to develop the skills needed
to prosper in college. To assist with the transition from High schoolto college researchers suggested
that colleges provide gifted underachievers with counseling and/or skills courses to help them learn
how to motivate themselves to work when grades don t come easily. In conclusion, the research
team suggests that studies be carried out at other universities on gifted underachievers to help
determine what can be done to help these students become more successful. Then, a study should
taken of High school students to see how they feel about their academic success thus far and also
how they feel about the rigors of classes, their current studying skills, engagement to tasks, and time

The Similarities And Differences Between California And...
To compare the similarities and differences between California and Puerto Rico you would have
to fully understand how they both work. How they were made, what the laws are, and how exactly
the government functions. Many people know that Puerto Rico is a U.S Territory, although many
people do not exactly know what that means. A territory is defined as an area of land under the
jurisdiction of a ruler or state. The ruler for this specific territory is whomever the president of the
United Statesis at the time. These territories are not single states and do not fall under the same
jurisdiction as the states do. They have their own government that U.S. helps them run.
Puerto Rico is about 29 times smaller than California. One state housing more than 39 million
people is so much larger than a single territory. California is broken up into 482 cities. Four new
cities have been formed since 2004. The largest city in California being Los Angeles currently has
a population of 4 million people making it the second largest city in the United States. Puerto Rico
coming in with only seventy eight cities has a small total population of 4 million people. The
largest city being San Jose with a population of 389,714 people. The city of Los Angeles has the
same population as the entire territory of Puerto Rico. Putting the size difference between the two
into perspective. The population helps the state and territory run. Without such a large population in
California they would not be able

Having A Two-Handed Play Educating Rita
Educating Rita by Willy Russell
Educating Rita , is a two handed play which only has two characters and one set. Educating Rita
was written in 1985 by Willy Russell, it looks at how the relationship between two people, Rita
and Frank, develops as the play goes on. Educating Rita is the story of Rita, a hairdresser who
decides to go to University in order to discover who she really is. When she arrives at University
she meets Frank, a lazy alcoholic who doesn t really care about being a University lecturer. At
first, Frank refuses to teach Rita but he soon finds he has a soft spot for Rita and decides to teach
her everything he knows about English Literature. I will be analysing the ... Show more content on

That particular scene emphasised how their relationship was progressing and would not have
been highlighted as much if there were more characters in the play. Another benefit of having a
two handed play is, as an audience we can concentrate particularly on just the two main
characters, even though we are told of others. As a result, we aren t distracted by insignificant
characters or minor concerns, this would only confuse the audience about what is going on in
the play. There are many characters that are mentioned in the play by Frank and Rita that we
don t hear any dialogue from. For example, we hear about Denny, Rita s husband, about Julia,
Frank s partner, and about Trish, Rita s flatmate, who attempts to kill herself. The financial and
logistical implications are also a benefit for Educating Rita being a two handed play because, as
there is only one set used in the whole play, therefore, the play is cheaper to stage as they don t
have to pay for another set to be built or rented. Also more money is saved from the play s
budget as the director only has to pay the wages of two characters. More benefits of Educating Rita
being a two handed play are that minor characters or concerns in the play do not distract the
audience, therefore they can focus all their

Counter Piracy In Australia
On 23 February 2009, the Australian government announced the Inspector of Transport Security
would assess the current security arrangements covering Australian crews and ships and investigate
the impact, or potential impact, of piracy on Australian registered and international trading ships
including their crews and passengers.
A report was released on 22 April 2010. It provided a detailed overview of piracyat the global level
and then by region, actions taken by the international community including the despatch of naval
forces to counter piracy, and the impact of attacks on the global shipping industry and impacts on
Australian shipping and trade. Importantly, on this last point the report noted that the impact on

Article 101 of UNCLOS should be read in conjunction with article 58(2), which provides that
articles 88 to 115 and other pertinent rules of international law apply to the exclusive economic
zone in so far as they are not incompatible with this Part.
Thus, the geographic scope of article 101(a) should be read to include the exclusive economic
zone of any State.15 Accordingly, when the acts set forth in article 101(a) are committed beyond
the territorial sea of any State, they are considered acts of piracy under the Convention. Article 105
of 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea provides that law enforcement agencies and the courts of

  • 2. Medical Records and Privacy of the Famous Medical Records and Privacy of the Famous Privacy seems to be something that many people desire, but is becoming less and less available. With all the new technology, it is easier than ever to invade someone s privacy. With cameras everywhere, from ATM s to people s cell phones, it is difficult for anyone to do anything that can be kept to one s self. While privacy is a right that the average person doesn t normally struggle with, it is a problem that celebrities encounter everyday. Paparazzi are constantly following these famous people around as they do their everyday things like shopping, playing with their children, partying, or simply hanging in their homes. It is basically the price to pay to be famous. While these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is obvious that celebrity news is an outlet that sells, as seen by the numerous tabloids and entertainment shows. The public has an interest in what is going on in the lives of these rich and glamorous people. This brings on a form of mediated voyeurism, which can be defined as, the consumption of revealing images and information about others real and unguarded lives, not always for the purpose of entertainment but frequently at the expense of privacy and discourse, through the means of the mass media (Calvert, 2000). Basically saying that the public has a need to see these famous people and learn about their lives, even at the risk of invading their privacy. The tabloids simply exploit the public s desire to learn these things, regardless of the ethical issues of invading a human being s privacy. They know people will buy it and that they will make money. I think that to be an ethical journalist it is important to empathize with the person whose life is about to be splashed on the papers. Of course there is the matter of getting the story and pleasing the readers and the editor, but it should take into account the public s real right to know. A story about the health of someone like the President of the United States might be something worth printing, because knowing how he is medically is of public interest because this is a man that is running the country. ... • 3. Essay about Ambiguity in Young Goodman Brown Had Goodman Brown fallen asleep in the forest and only dreamed a wild dream of a witch meeting? (387) The story Young Goodman Brown is portrayed as a straight forward tale of a man on a venture. It is not overly difficult to comprehend or interpret, however it does have several great ambiguities. As Hawthorne s tale has a great deal of symbolism, it is all in retrospect to the ambiguous entities within the tale. The formalistic approach will be used to analyze the ambiguities in the story, mainly focusing upon the use of dark and light contrasts. The questions of why did Goodman Brown leave his wife Faith and venture into the forest and was his journey into the forest a reality or a dream bring a grand weight of ambiguityupon the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This could be his way of proving himself worthy in some way due to the fact that he say that neither his father nor his grandfather had completed his task at hand. The second idea is in the reasoning that Hawthorne had simply utilized it as the setting and forged the story around the forest and its characterized darkness and evil notions compared to that of the town which is light and absent of evil until Goodman Brown returns. This is a definite formalistic observation in the contrast of forest and the town. The forest is used as a setting which Hawthorne utilizes to expose the faults in all of mankind, including the self professed religious. No matter which way you believe, Hawthorne has successfully left the issue as a mystery and an undeclared element of the narrative. Then comes the second impending question of whether or not the story even happened; whether or not the tale was a dream, or an actual occurrence in the life of Goodman Brown. Entering the text, there is no conclusive evidence of a dream state. It states, Young Goodman Browncame forth at sunset, into the street at Salem village. (375) Simply speaking, Goodman Brown sets forth upon a journey complete with a clearly stated beginning and an end. However, the middle is left for one to question. Once in the forest, the story begins to offer characteristics that would not relate to a truthful tale in the conscious state by Goodman Brown. This mostly due to Goodman Brown encountering ... My favorite highlights of my essays include: Character Education, The Power of Technology, and Statistics in the Classroom. Character education defines how a child should act morally and is one of the most important lessons to learn in a classroom. Parents have to teach right from wrong, but teachers spend large amounts of time with their students and need to enforce what parents have taught to their children. The power of technology highlights the expanding use of devices rather than usage of textbooks and pencils. I learned that language development is crucial at a young age and I think the introduction of words can be done respectively through technology.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Take every bit of your education and soak it all in. The role of a teacher is very complicated. Teach your students academic values in unique ways that each individual student can understand. • 5. Hydrogen And Hydrogen As A Fuel Introduction Hydrogen is proven to be the most efficient furl because of its abundance and the production of harmless bi products as compared fossil fuel. Despite the abundance in its natural existence, Hydrogen can also be obtained through processes such as the electrolysis of water and methanol steam conversion. Hydrogen as a fuel is capable of the replacement of most of the other sources of energy. However, Hydrogen faces numerous obstacles to its entry into the economy and the utilization by human beings. The technology to contain and manage hydrogen as a fuel is already present. However, the hindrances bar the launch of hydrogen as a basic fuel. The essay discusses the various obstacles to the hydrogen economy such as the market entry issues and issues related to policies. Thesis statement: The government ownership of fossil fuel reservoirs and gas outlet companies is the main obstacle to the launch and adoption of the hydrogen economy. Background and history The use of hydrogen as a fuel requires the adoption of the fuel cells technology for their role in the reaction activity between hydrogen and hydrogen for the production of energy. The fuel cells convert more of their energy potential from the fuel source as compared to the regular gasoline fuels. The insignificance of the impact caused by the bi products of such reactions makes it the much better option than the fossil fuels that face the threat of exhaustion. This was a reality for John White as the only thing he came back to in the colony of Roanoke was the word CROATOAN and the mystery of their disappearance. In 1587, John White and a small band of people set foot on Roanoke Islandand formed a colony. This colony was made up of about 110 English men, women and children, and although small, they ran through their supplies very quickly. Just a few short months after they had settled, Governor White hesitantly decided to return to Englandfor much need support and goods, leaving his family and colonists behind. Unfortunately for him, the day he set sail was the last day he ever saw them. John White s decision to return to England for supplies was made at a bad time for the country. Upon his arrival Britain was facing an impending invasion by the Spanish Armada and he found himself trapped in England because of this crisis. It took two years for the English to defeat the Spanish Armada, and by the time the fighting was over White set sail, yet again, to return to his colony. • 7. Concentration Camps Of The Second Anglo-Boer War One of many forms of oppression the British practiced during the Second Anglo Boer War was the use of concentration camps. Both blacks and whites were placed in the camps, and were required to perform unpaid labor. However, the black and white camps were segregated, and the treatment of the inmates in the black concentration camps was vastly different from the white camps. Less rations were given, and less maintenance was performed on the camps, leading to starvation and poor living conditions. Even after the war, when the white concentration camps had been transferred to civilian control, the black concentration camps still remained under military command (Pretorius). Though many Boers and British believed the war to be a white man s war , blacks continued to be segregated and oppressed in order to profit off of their labor and gain advantage in battle. Many blacks fought on the side of the British, believing they would receive education and more economic opportunities with a victory by England ( Role ). Regardless of what side the natives took, the eventual outcomes of the war still prevented them from reaching true equality with the soldiers they fought with at the turn of the twentieth century. Subtle rules and regulations were implemented as a treaty between the English and Boers prevented blacks from ever escaping the European induced living conditions. In To Build a Fire London s character who has no given name travels Yukon with no one but his Husky to meet some of his friends. Despite warning to not travel alone in such frigid temperatures, he makes the journey anyways and finds himself at the mercy of mother nature. In such cold circumstances and having stepped in water, the man attempts to build a fire. Having failed to start a fire to thaw out his hands and feet, he grows anxious and runs around trying to bring the feeling back into his limbs. A realization dawns on the man that he is going to die, so he calms down and decides to die with dignity. He lays down and meets his end as his husky watches nearby. He got a hold of the animal but not long after he realize[s] that he [can] not kill the dog. There was no way to do it. With his helpless hands he could neither draw nor hold his sheath knife nor throttle the animal (London, p. 608). London presents his theme through the characters survival instincts. The two potential reasons why Senator Sanders supports increasing top tax rates is so as discourage greed which is broadly defined as extracting income at the expense of the rest of the economy as opposed to real productive behavior. This plan would result in an all in tax rate of over 65% on income between $500,000 and $2 million which would definitely push rates near the revenue maximizing level. Mr. Sanders tends on counting on those high incomes to generate the high receipts needed to fund his single payer health plan which is a problem. Also, in the renaissance, women believed the lighter the hair, the better. They strived for a pale face, and deep red lips (CITE). However, the women of the Victorian era were much different than the renaissance women. They were very conscious about their bodies, and beauty meant having the smallest waistline humanly possible (CITE). To achieve this small waistline, women wore corsets. Their corsets were so tight that women could barely breathe, and sitting down was out of the question (Cite). As for makeup in the Victorian era, only high class women were expected to wear makeup sparingly. Bold colors were considered to be uncouth, and reserved for prostitutes (cite). • 18. A Brief Note On Wildlife Photography, And For Good Reason Wildlife photography is a very popular area to specialise in, and for good reason. It gives you a great excuse to spend extended periods of time outdoors, keeps you fit, and allows you to develop a real appreciation for the natural world. But it can also be a very challenging field too, especially since your subject is often running away from you! I m going to share with you 15 of my top tips so that you can start improving your wildlife photos straight away. Hopefully by the end of this article you ll have learnt something new that will help you on your journey to becoming the next Art Wolfe. 1. Shoot on Eye level When you re standing up and shooting an animal on the ground, your angle of view is pointing downwards. This detracts from the photo, making the perspective seem strange. It also decreases the distance between the subject and the background, getting rid of your chance for that nice, soft bokeh (background). Instead, get onto eye level with your subject. It brings the viewer down onto the animal s level, creating a much more interesting perspective. Some of the problems which may be addressed in the PR statement can be seen in my twenty four hour plan and here as well: Herewith appear to be the most pressing matters; one, infective and inexperienced entrepreneurial leadership. Two, the dialectic nature between front of house and back of house, and three, a lack of general training motivation and direction in original concept. Now I shall divulge onto you my complete analysis of the information that you have provided to me. Examining the bottom line factor (Weber Savitz 2006) the fact that Abbey lost its spot from being the second highest revenue earning outlet in 2009 to the 4th in 2011 is alarming in itself. A rough two hundred thousand dollar loss in takings, in two years, should have sounded the alarm bells for the Managing Directors and more importantly Marcus Vesty. This ties in significantly with the fact that the concept from opening of the Abbey in 2009 has since wallowed. The entrepreneurial and perhaps managerial aspects of the Abbey have waned resulting in poor standards of service (Parsa et al. 2005). This is reflective almost in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Both positions are highly involved in maintaining the computer systems in an organization, and, in some smaller firms, the position may be handled by the same individual. However, while there are significant similarities between systems administration and network administration, there are differences in the roles as well. Basically speaking, system administration focuses on computer systems and networks, while network administration looks at maintenance and upkeep of the hardware and software that composes the network (Entrance Exams 2012, 2012). Because there is obviously an overlap between the two different job descriptions, it can be difficult to understand why it is so important for information technology professionals to differentiate between network and systems administration. However, when one understands the different roles of the two different positions, it becomes clear that, why they might overlap, and why a single individual might be able to handle the position in a small organization, there are actually substantial differences between the two positions. Particularly in a large organization, the two jobs may need to be handled by different professionals with different skill sets. • 22. Standard Procedures For Sign Concordance Standard Procedures for Sign Concordance Study 10.18.2016 Authors: Arielle Crews, Austin Roy, Alexa Lindauer, Janet Foley, Deana Clifford, Rob Klinger Introduction: The Amargosa vole, Microtus californicus scirpensis, is a critically endangered rodent, endemic to the Amargosa Basin near Death Valley, California. This water dependent species persists in a naturally fragmented wetland ecosystem, that has existed since the end of the Pleistocene (Neuwald 2010). However, due to California s historic four year drought and anthropogenic changes, the patchy ecological makeup has been aggravated to extreme limits. The habitat loss and exasperated fragmentation has drastically altered the wetland community and constricted the riparian habitat to less than 20km2 (Foley 2013). This regime shift has forced the Amargosa vole to live in small, isolated populations and has left the species vulnerable to disease (Ott Conn et al. 2014; Hess 1996; Morshed et al. 2005), and the effects of genetic drift and inbreeding (Neuwald 2010). Consequently, the altered hydrology has increased the potential of the voles extirpation with the one year extinction risk as high as 10% (*). For the successful recovery of an endangered species, accurate monitoring of occupancy and spatial distribution must be conducted to better understand the factors that limit their occurrence (Brubaker 2013). Thus one objective of the ad hoc Amargosa vole team and the CDFW funded DRIP project undertaken in 2016 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Chris Lee Invasion Of The Bodybuilders Summary Invasion of the Bodybuilders is an article where the author, Chris Lee, discusses the image of the Macho mans as an ideal for the American people. Throughout his article, he tries to emphasize that bodybuilders are regular people, yet the public sees them as people with super powers. For years, bodybuilders have been role models for Americans of all ages. Furthermore, bodybuilders embodied the image of a muscular superhero who has the strength to do anything, so people started changing their culture and lifestyle, driven by the desire to become more and more like their idols. At the beginning of the article, the author brings to the public attention that the culture of machoism is back and it s making the U.S.A. feel good again . These bodybuilders are often called gym rats just because they spend a good amount of their time in the gym, working on sculpting their bodies. The author mentions many actors who went through rigorous training programs to increase their muscular mass for some roles in movies. One of those actors is Jason Momoa, who gained about 30 pounds only to get a part in the movie Conan the Barbarian. Another star who endured months of painful training was Chris Evans, who is now globally famous for his role in Captain America. Their colleague, Ryan Reynolds also suffered radical transformation just to become the superhero in the movie Green Lantern. 1 All of these and many more actors spend hours and hours in the gym to build their body for a role that they need to fit in. But, in reality with bodybuilding they aren t just trying to become physically fit for the role; they are creating an image of a superhero that can fight anything to defend the people. Basically, with their roles, they are transforming an ordinary person into a unique character, and often that fictitious character can inspire generations. Meanwhile, there are multiple examples of super dudes that try to build their careers by selling false illusions to the people. Actors such as Vin Diesel from Fast and Furious and Chris Hemsworth from Thor ended up building too much muscle and having their biceps compared to the size of canned hams . We found that there was no significant difference between the memory scores of those who thought they had to teach the information and those who were told nothing. Yet, a consistent trend was found with both dependent variables. Although the trend does not fall within the confidence band, it can be considered a consistent trend because it is constant for all four different conditions. Refer to Figure 2, the memoryscores were consistently lower when white noisewas present, regardless of which condition the participants were in. In addition, the anxietylevels were slightly higher when white noise was present regardless of active or passive condition, refer to Figure 3. Our null hypothesis states that there will be no significant difference in memory retention of the presentation information between those who are told they must teach the presentation right after and those who are not told anything, and there will be no difference in anxiety levels when noise is introduced into the classroom. However, our study tested the hypothesis that the potential of having to speak publicly would enhance memory retention. Yet, our results proved otherwise. Opposite to what we hypothesized, the memory for all four groups remained relatively consistent with one another with respect to the active and passive conditions. Anxiety did not have a major impact in boosting memory performance, even when white noise was in the background. We found that from the perspective of the student, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Don t distinguish the direction of harmonic distortion. Does the customer with nonlinear Loads pollutes the distribution system or the utility background harmonic pollutes the customer with linear loads? Harmonics represents a financial lamb to customers who do not generate them, so the harmonic distortion penalty should be inclusive in a utility s rate structure. In the present, the tariff of the electrical energy is based on the traditional concepts of active, reactive, and apparent power, and related power factor. These concepts are well defined for sinusoidal conditions. Unfortunately, in non sinusoidal conditions, these traditional definitions of power component are not reliable anymore. The paper concerns with this matter, and aims towards the development of an adequate method dealing with the possibility of determining the responsibility of the harmonic distortion through billing quantities . It has been suggested that therapeutic strategies to promote wound healingmight focus on immune systemmodulation (Julier, 2017). Additionally, research has demonstrated that during wound healing, changes occur in the thymus (the organ in which T cell maturation occurs) revealing increases in thymus size, changes in morphology, and proliferation of a variety of immune cells within the medulla (Franchini Bertolotti 2014). Research Goals We propose to study the relationship between the thymus, T cells, and wound healing by performing larval thymectomy to generate T cell deficient tadpoles and frogs. Alternatively, many studies have demonstrated that mice missing the recombinase activating gene (RAG) are deficient in functional B and T lymphocytes (Thompson, 1992; Mombaerts et al, 1992; BelizГЎrio, 2009). Our study can be accomplished by the use of RAG knockout frogs, which we hope to obtain. Regardless of the method of obtaining T cell deficient tadpoles and frogs, wound healing will be evaluated by a combination of molecular and histological techniques. Our goal is to better understand the role T lymphocytes have in wound healing. Research Plan Generating tadpoles and frogs without a thymus Microscope guided electrocautery of the thymic lobes will be performed on early stage (Niewkoop Farber, NF, stages 42 48) tadpoles. Soon after taking control of Acre, Richard took Jaffa, which was necessary to do before attempting an attack on Jerusalem. In November of 1191, the Crusaders advanced towards Jerusalem. • 44. Social Media Controversy Action Essay: Social Media s Influence on Television Social media is the use of websites or applications that enable users to create or share content. The influence of social media has grown in the past decade to the extent that some people consider it a source of reliable information. It is taken from what they heard and shared between family, friends, and strangers. The information that is posted on social networks are not checked and instead are taken as fact and then are given to someone else as news. This cycle continues until the truth is no longer known unless accessed by the news. The problem with this is giving information that even the writer is not sure of, will only lead to confusion and controversy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Social media by itself is not a threat, for it was created for the purpose of entertainment, like television. Although television also holds the important job of conveying information using the news. In our current times, social media is the new method of obtaining information quickly about events. Even though when most people search social media rather than actual news companies, they do not realize how unreliable it truly is. Twitter especially is credited with playing a role as a source of credible information. It has evolved far beyond its origin of being a simple way to keep in contact with friends. In a recent study done by ING, it was shown that one third of journalists said social media posts are not a reliable source of information. When news of recent events is given on Twitter, it is called into question because it is unable to be determined how true it is. As stated by Johnson and Kaye we must rely on the credibility of its user. This proves that social networks are not credible sources at all and Twitter is a social network so how can it be trusted? Even knowing this, we still consider consumer opinion to be more reliable than a statement by an organization. If social media continues to do the job of the news not only will television be affected because of the lack of viewers, but we the people will no longer know what is actuality or lies. No one likes to be lied to, so why ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Oroonoko Analysis Aphra Behn s Oroonoko is arguably one of the most tragic novels in British Literature. The love story of two enslaved Surinam nobilities, who both meet their atrocious end, depicts shameful european history in regards of slavery. The words painted white men as vile creatures who were known to be dishonest and ruthless. Though one may say Behn s work brought light to a subject so taboo, others argue that the novelplays into a racial narrative that minorities have struggled for centuries to break free from. While Behn s explicit use of language expressed her disapproval of colonists, I believe her work embodied the notion of whitewashing the text gain approval of a particular group. Considering the fact, that Behn was the first women to live by her pen, and broke cultural norms, it is unclear if her intention was enclosing a shock factor, or exercising her ability to challenge societal norms for the greater good. Oroonokodescribes how individuals are unable to be free people who grow intellectually and ethically, instead slaveryholds these prisoners captive leaving them a shell of a person. Living in a european world where ignorance is used a bondage to restraint individuals from comprehending the severity of slavery, and the impact these texts have made has shaped ideological forces that shouldn t be disregarded. When deconstructing the text, I believe Alpha Behn s story of Oroonoko falls under racisms constrained view and exhibits an unschooled thought in correlation of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Poland DBQ Diego Lopez Liranzo 22 September 2014 AP European History Form VI Analyse the factors that contributed to the emergence of a workers opposition movement in Communist Poland in the period 1956 1981. After World War II, the official communist party dominated all aspects of Polish politics, which soon became an issue with not only the working class of the country, but also the intellectual and educated Polish community. Between 1956 and 1981, there was an emergence of workers opposition against the communist party in Poland due to the blatant oppression and desperate living conditions of many of the Polish workers and their families. Workers demanded rapid change in policy from the party because the workers believed the government had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Doc 4) The intellectual and party member support helped the workers movement gain serious momentum. A major factor in the emergence of the workers opposition movement also was the support of the Catholic Church and the Pope specifically. In September of 1976, the bishops of the Catholic Church in Poland called for the government and party to fully respect civil rights and conduct a real dialogue with society while also demanding that they stop all repression of workers involved in the protests of June 1976. (Doc 5) The fierce and somewhat scolding tone in which the demands are made show the Catholic Church s unwavering support for the Polish workers opposition. It is not surprising, however, that a group of Catholic bishops would demand better treatment for the Polish workers because, as members of the church, they would naturally be in favour of social justice. The value of having the Catholic Church support the movement manifests itself in the fact that the Polish communist party begins to require all teachers to tell students that the pope is an enemy and dangerous man who only wishes to charm the crowd. (Doc 7) This response to the pope s support demonstrates that the party itself realised that the church could have tremendous impact on the turnout of the opposition. By the 1980s, a coalition of independent trade unions, known as Solidarity, was established in Gdansk. The photograph of Lech Walesa and other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Haggai, Zechariah, And Malachi While there is some speculation in regards to the authorship of Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi, the general scholarly consensus is that all three share titular authors. Haggai and Zechariah were contemporaries; however, while Haggai s messages were only in a short period in 520 b.c., Zechariah s ministry stretched from 520 b.c., until after 480 b.c. Malachi was likely a contemporary of Nehemiah, and it is likely that his book was written in 433 b.c., right after Nehemiah returned from Persia. It begins with a call to repentance, then later describes eight separate visions Zechariah has in the same night. The second section ends with an oracle about Joshua. The third message of Zechariah rebukes the people for how they have turned away from God. However, studies, like the one that took place at Queen Mary College, have shown that this is not always correct. In Underachievement Among College Students Megan Balduf discusses how high achieving students struggle in collegebecause they never had to try in highschool, and thus did not develop the necessary skills like: time management, ability to adjust to independent life, and good studying skills, skills that are essential for success. This study is important because it looks first hand at what is causing gifted underachievers to not meet their potential and it also focuses on a group that is often left out from gifted underachievement studies: college students. • 49. The Similarities And Differences Between California And... To compare the similarities and differences between California and Puerto Rico you would have to fully understand how they both work. How they were made, what the laws are, and how exactly the government functions. Many people know that Puerto Rico is a U.S Territory, although many people do not exactly know what that means. A territory is defined as an area of land under the jurisdiction of a ruler or state. The ruler for this specific territory is whomever the president of the United Statesis at the time. These territories are not single states and do not fall under the same jurisdiction as the states do. They have their own government that U.S. helps them run. Puerto Rico is about 29 times smaller than California. One state housing more than 39 million people is so much larger than a single territory. California is broken up into 482 cities. Four new cities have been formed since 2004. The largest city in California being Los Angeles currently has a population of 4 million people making it the second largest city in the United States. Puerto Rico coming in with only seventy eight cities has a small total population of 4 million people. The largest city being San Jose with a population of 389,714 people. The city of Los Angeles has the same population as the entire territory of Puerto Rico. Putting the size difference between the two into perspective. The population helps the state and territory run. Educating Rita was written in 1985 by Willy Russell, it looks at how the relationship between two people, Rita and Frank, develops as the play goes on. Educating Rita is the story of Rita, a hairdresser who decides to go to University in order to discover who she really is. When she arrives at University she meets Frank, a lazy alcoholic who doesn t really care about being a University lecturer. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That particular scene emphasised how their relationship was progressing and would not have been highlighted as much if there were more characters in the play. Another benefit of having a two handed play is, as an audience we can concentrate particularly on just the two main characters, even though we are told of others. As a result, we aren t distracted by insignificant characters or minor concerns, this would only confuse the audience about what is going on in the play. There are many characters that are mentioned in the play by Frank and Rita that we don t hear any dialogue from. For example, we hear about Denny, Rita s husband, about Julia, Frank s partner, and about Trish, Rita s flatmate, who attempts to kill herself. The financial and logistical implications are also a benefit for Educating Rita being a two handed play because, as there is only one set used in the whole play, therefore, the play is cheaper to stage as they don t have to pay for another set to be built or rented. Also more money is saved from the play s budget as the director only has to pay the wages of two characters. More benefits of Educating Rita being a two handed play are that minor characters or concerns in the play do not distract the audience, therefore they can focus all their ...
