Essay Service
Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Service" can be a challenging task, as it requires a
delicate balance between providing valuable information and avoiding overt promotion. Striking
the right tone is crucial, as the essay needs to be informative and engaging without appearing
biased or overly promotional.
One of the difficulties lies in navigating the fine line between discussing the benefits of essay
services and avoiding a purely promotional approach. It's essential to provide a comprehensive
overview of the industry, including its evolution, key players, and the various services offered.
However, the challenge is to present this information objectively, avoiding any language that
might be construed as a direct endorsement.
Additionally, addressing the potential ethical concerns surrounding essay services is another
aspect that requires careful consideration. Discussing issues such as plagiarism and academic
integrity without vilifying the entire industry demands a nuanced approach. Striking a balance
between acknowledging the legitimate reasons for seeking essay assistance and highlighting the
importance of academic integrity can be a complex task.
Furthermore, the essay should be well-researched, drawing on credible sources to support any
claims made. Analyzing the impact of essay services on the education system, student learning,
and academic standards adds another layer of complexity to the writing process.
Despite these challenges, crafting a well-rounded essay on the topic of "Essay Service" is not
impossible. It demands a thoughtful and balanced approach to provide readers with valuable
insights while maintaining a level of objectivity. A successful essay on this subject should leave
the reader informed and contemplative rather than feeling compelled to take a specific stance.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Service" requires finesse and careful
consideration of various perspectives. Balancing information, objectivity, and engagement can
be challenging, but with diligence and attention to detail, a well-crafted essay can be achieved.
For those seeking assistance with essays or similar writing tasks, various resources are available,
including online platforms like HelpWriting.net. These services offer support in crafting essays,

Parable Of The Sower, The Flowers, By Bram Stoker
A well developed setting gives a reader a clear intuition on how the characters will
behave, but the best developed characters provide unpredictability in terms of how
much they defy the expectations assigned to them based on setting. The setting of a
novel encaptures many things, ranging from era, climate, and environment. Setting
automatically has effect on characters be it in terms of their physical appearance,
emotional maturity, language, or age but the depth of a character oftentimes changes
based on setting. In Dracula, Parable of the Sower, and The Flowers, each respective
femaleprotagonist Mina, Lauren, and Myop, changes and grows positively. The shifts
in setting foster character growth; each character become more enlightened and self
sufficient. Furthermore, each story relates to Plato s The Allegory of the Cave, in
that as each character ventures further away from the circle of their own comfort and
knowledge, they become progressively less ignorant and more informed.
Dracula, written by Bram Stoker, takes place in the Victorian Era, Europe. The
Victorian Era, despite being one of the only periods of reign under a female, is
widely known as being a time where women were repressed and men were
prioritized. Males strived to embody a young, clean businessman who provided for
his family. He made the decisions and controlled the family. The idealized female
catered to her family, namely her husband. She was subject to others and did not

Erving Goffman Social Life
According to Erving Goffman ,social life is a drama or a stage play .There are
three elements of dramaturgy which is behaving like actor ,presenting the self and
performing interaction rituals. First is behaving like actors. The meaning of
behaving like actors is playing the character such as daughter or son, father or
mother , husband and wife and so on. Everyone must have more than character in
our live. In different character, we will act by following the character such as I am a
mother, I will cook for my familymembers and I will help to clean the house;if I am a
student,I will act like a student to respect the lecturer, bring notes to the class and will
not disturb others student and we learn these from the others such as learn from our
Jackson J. Spielvogel s Western Civilization
The region between the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers was home to an original
civilization, Mesopotamia. The people of Mesopotamia knew of few cultures other
than themselves and had no basis for what their lives should be and therefore
developed their own way of life. They developed their own religion and laws to
follow, they were building civilization. In this secondary source, Western Civilization
by Jackson J. Spielvogel, it is declared that a spiritual worldview was of fundamental
importance they valued their religion above all else (Spielvogel, 10). It is obvious
that a physical environment influenced Mesopotamian culture but not nearly as much
as their spiritual environment that was under the control of the physical.

A Marketing Manager For Our Italian Restaurant
Introduction
In 1971 the UAE attained independence from Britain and the states of Abu Dhabi,
Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al Quwain came together to
what is known as the United Arab Emirates. Since gaining independence, the UAE
that has grown to be the most important economic centers of the middle east. Also,
the UAE is one of the most liberal countries in the gulf with the country being
accepting of other faiths such as Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Most of
the marketing in the UAE is done by social media and the TV, with 52% of internet
users in the UAE having their own websites and blogs (Istizada). Currently, the
UAE s economy is dependent on oil. However, before oil was discovered the
country s economy was dependent on agriculture. In our paper, we are sending out a
marketing manager for our Italian restaurant we will make a strategic plan on how to
market and present our restaurant per the UAE s norms on religion, political system
and language to get the highest number of sales.
Cultural Differences
Compared to the United States, The United Arab Emirates has many cultural
differences which will affect our marketing manager. The first difference being the
language of the country. The Emirati culture is based on Arabian culture which has
been heavily influenced by Persian culture. Even though English is the second spoken
language in the country, the main language is Arabic. Modern and standard Arabic is

Essay Medieval Europe
Since the Council of Nicaea called in the fourth century by Constantine to the early
eleventh century, the Church was never established as a free standing institution. For
over eight hundred years the Church had been under the authority of secular powers.
Charlemagne and the Carolingians emperors saw themselves as the ones to maintain
the Church materially, organizationally, and spiritually, while the popewas only an
example of ideal Christian living. Social deterioration led to the corruption of the
Church and its offices; simony being the biggest problem. The papacy itself was
corrupted by simony and Roman politics. While reform had been taking place in the
local levels for some time, the papacy was the last part of the Church to be... Show

The next pope to further the papal reformation was Nicholas II. Pope Nicholas II
built upon what Leo IX had already done. Nicholas and a council produced the
Lateran synod of April 1059. The synod ended clerical marriage and established
clergy celibacy. It also added to the strict prevention of simony. Also with the
synod, Nicholas and the council made two major decisions that would shape the
papacy up until today. The first of these decisions was to condemn the practice of
lay investiture. The ritual by which a lay prince invested a priest or bishop with
the insignia of his office suggested that the ecclesiastical authority was subordinate
to the secular (Backman, 270). The papacy now condemned this seeing as the
reforming popes were trying to establish the Church as an entity on its own. The
Church wanted to control everything about itself and completely cut off any
secular ties trying to control it. The second major decision Nicholas and the council
made was mad in the Papal Election Decree of 1059. This was to ensure no pope
could ever be placed in power by a secular ruler but only elected by the College of
Cardinals. Backman describes it as this:
...for all eternity the only way for any individual to become the legitimate pontiff of
the Holy Catholic Church was to be freely elected to the position by the College of
Cardinals. This decree removed the Holy See from the clutched of the Roman
magnates, but it also
The Responsibility Of The Right Holders
A large component of this involves identifying the responsibility of the right holders
(the Aboriginal People) and the duty bearers (the Canadian government). Under s.
91(24) of the Constitution Act, 1967, the Canadian government has a fiduciary
obligation to address First Nations safe drinking water. After years of pressure, the
government proposed Bill S 11 in 2010 as a viable solution. Bill S 11 sought to
address the issue of First Nations access to clean drinking waterrights. Unfortunately,
it was not passed. Recently, the Liberal government promised in its 2015 election
campaign to ensure that First Nations had access to clean water. The current
government should consider revisiting Bill S 11 and provide a clause that recognizes

These streams are believed to operate independently from one another; however, all
three streams need to connect in order for a policy change to emerge.
Fundamentally, the policy streams model focuses on the importance of timing and
the actions that influence policy actions. In addition, these streams are supported
through the actions of lobbyists and interest groups. The streams model can be
used to explain how the timing was right for the Liberal government to enact the
policy that would ensure Aboriginal people had the right to quality water in their
communities through the passage of Bill S 11. When the problem, policy and
political streams align, it creates what is known to be a window of opportunity.
Kingdon defined the policy window as an opportunity that allows advocates to bring
their problems to the government s attention. The window of opportunity opens up
at a specific time for a specific policy when the three separate streams of problems,
policies and politics come together. In regards to First Nations right to water, the
window of opportunity is present for the current government to draft and pass a
legislation that recognizes and ensure that Aboriginal people have their right to
quality water is upheld by the government. The Grassy Narrows mercury poisoning
opened a window of policy opportunity for the Canadian government to acknowledge
that there is a problem that needs to be
Rise Of Globalization
The rise of globalization following WWII generated three important factors that
define today s world. McNeill and McNeill agree with Pollard, Rosenberg, and Tignor
that multiple economic changes, such as the creation of financial institutions like the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) contributed to the globalizationof the world
economy. Carter and Warren further this argument by claiming that globalization
has caused shifts in the modern economy, namely the rise of Asian economic
powers. However, all three historians agree that the rise of globalization goes hand
in hand with the rise of inequality in today s world. Gaps in power, wealth, and
access to information have only widened due to the trend of globalization. The
final key factor defining our world today are the ongoing processes affecting
development countries. McNeill and McNeill argue similarly to Carter and Warren
that the end of imperialism generated new nations who quickly realized the free
market was a pathway to stability. However, Pollard et al. and McNeill and McNeill
place importance on financial institutions like the IMF forcing developing nations to
reform their economies to be subservient to the world s economy. Together, these
historians argue that the trend of globalization following WWII caused factors like
the modern global economy, the rise in inequality, and the development of new,
decolonized nations to be key determiners in the world today. As the world globalized
following WWII, the
The Effects Of Xanax On A Person s Health
There are many drugs in the world that can better a person s health. There are also
drugs that can worsen a person s health. If the patient takes the prescribed drug
correctly, than the drug should work, right? What if the patient takes the drug
correctly, but the problem is still not fixed?
The possibilities are endless with the controversial drug, Xanax. The purpose of
Xanax is to make the patient less anxious, but in most cases, it does not. There is a
bigger story behind
Xanax than most people know, it effects the body in many different ways, and it is
not recommended to take if not prescribed.
Xanax is a drug that treats anxiety, panic disorder, sleeplessness, and sometimes used
for short term relief of extreme stress. These medications can also calm patients in
danger of hurting themselves or hurting others, and soothe patients dealing with
tragic life events.
(go.galegroup.com, 1) Some people refer to Xanax as Alprazolam, which is the
generic, most often used brand, of the drug. Xanax belongs to the class of minor
tranquilizers known as benzodiazepines. Xanax comes in the form of a tablet, an
extended release tablet, and a concentrated solution. This drug is prescribed by a
doctor and comes with many rules. If the patient abuses the drug there is a high risk
of addiction. Many patients need 4 milligrams of the pill a day. Using that high of a
dosage may cause the patient to become addicted. If the patient discontinues the drug
too quickly, they could go through

My Last Duchess Diction
My Last Duchess in itself is a Victorian reflection on Renaissance Italy. It explores
societal schemas which permeated both aristocratic societies extensively, such as
societal entitlement and a narcissistic and oppressive attitude. Browning takes this to
a deeper level by exploring these temperaments in the speaker; the Dukeof Ferrara.
This is achieved through the use of structure and syntax to provide insight into the
psyche of the speaker by insinuating and presenting the real ideology of the speaker
through the development of a societal interaction. Browning employs thematic
progression lead by the speaker delivered through a dramatic monologue, forced
sentences of genuine nature, and the use of vivid imagery and syntax to create such...

One can imagine the messenger standing up and bolting towards the stairs, to warn
his master of the dark intentions of the Duke, only to be abruptly halted. This is a
clear example of his controlling nature and provides insight into the oppressive
nature of the Duke. The Duke is so narcissistic and oppressive the he feels entitled to
express his darkest attributes and still maintain his social and political status through
subtle yet blunt manipulation. This is reflected in the structure of the poem through
the use of a dramatic monologue; where the Duke commands the conversion and
guides it where he wants to go, forcing his thoughts onto the audience and drawing
focus only to what he desires. This mentality of oppression is further reflected in the
diction and syntax that is used; where the Duke uses phrases to control the
individual in a seemingly polite way. This view is shared by Joshua Adler in his
article Structure and Meaning in Browning s My Last Duchess .
Throughout the interview the Duke is, in effect, manipulating his guest as if he were
a puppet sit down, stand up, look at this, notice that and his manner is indicative of
his whole attitude to life, for in the main body of the monologue the same habits are
revealed as in the double frame. The structure of the poem thus corresponds perfectly
to its content: just as the monologue is cramped in and the listener held down, so had
the Duke attempted to confine his wife within the bounds imposed by his inflexible
will. (Adler
Essay on Miles Franklin s My Brilliant Career
Miles Franklin s My Brilliant Career
Topic: Give a detailed analysis of a key scene or passage from My Brilliant Career by
Miles Franklin.
The focus and essence of My Brilliant Career by Miles Franklin is centred on the
relationships and interactions of Sybylla Melvyn (the key character of the novel),
towards other characters. The ways in which she reacts to different people and why
she reacts in a particular manner, are perhaps more crucial and intriguing to the
reader, than any distinct event throughout the novel. Sybylla s logic and thinking
about herself, others and life, have been moulded by her very influential relationships
with her mother and father. Her view on life and the roles of men and women has also
been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In her childhood she is quite proud of her father as he owned successful properties
and was reasonably wealthy. He had a clear focus on life. However, as her father s
wealth and status dwindles and he becomes alcoholic, Sybylla is lost and is
inevitably always searching for the heroic father figure which is now absent in her
life, and that she so desperately needs for guidance, as she becomes a young woman.
This she finds in Harold Beecham. Therefore, Sybylla cannot bring herself to
become close or intimate with Harold as there is the feeling of verging on the edge
of incest. When he gets too close for comfort, she retaliates by hitting him.
Sybylla s relationship or view of herself also comes out in Chapter 20. Throughout
the novel, she has a superficial view of herself, constantly looking at herself as she
imagines others see her. She has low self esteem and endlessly insists that she is
ugly. Sybylla likes to compare herself to other women. In the beginning of Chapter
20, she compares herself to Miss Derrick, whom everyone comments on as being
beautiful. Sybylla is already somewhat jealous of Miss Derrick as she (Derrick)
spent most of that day with Harold Beecham (previous chapter). This also confirms
that she has feelings for Harold. Sybylla says of Miss Derrick She was a big
handsome woman (Franklin 136). Then she
Origin Of Agriculture And Village Life
Origin of Agriculture and Village Life: Natufian Culture vs. Early Chinese Neolihic
Food is one of the most biological needs of human, so obtaining food has always
been in human priority. So the question here is that if our ancient could hunt and
gather, why did some ancient societies turn to food production and sedentism? Well,
in contrast to hunting and gathering as a way of life of our ancients, agriculture
implies modifying the environment in order to exploit it more effectively. According
to a study of prehistory, the transition from food hunting and gathering to food
producing and settling did not take place suddenly in any part of the world. It is not
just an event, but it is truly a process (Bar Yosef,1998). This process was the first
unambiguously cultural revolution in human technology and ecology. There are
many scholars which have been developed many other hypotheses to explain the
origin of agriculture. In my paper today, I am going to compare and contrast two
cases studies of the transition from hunter gatherer to agricultural societies and
village life which are the Natufian culture in Southwest Asian and the Early Chinese
Neolithic in China to explain the origin of agriculture and village life.
The agricultural revolution was the wise scale transition of many human cultures
from hunting and gathering lifestyle to one of agriculture and settlement which allow
the ability to handle an increasingly larger population First of all, we compare the

Sex Yeah Paraphrase
My next song for analysis is, Sex, Yeah by Marina Diamandis. The song begins
immediately by mocking modern day pop culture. Just about every song you hear
on pop radio is about sex. Marina repeats the word sex to lead the listener into
thinking it s another overly sexualized, shallow pop song. This first line, however,
is pure satire and takes a direct jab at the shallow tendencies of today s music. With
the use of a skeptical and condescending tone through her lyrics, Sex Yeah evokes a
feeling of doubt in the listener. This Song is thoroughly denotative as Diamandis
directly addresses the issue and makes her message clear with phrases such as If
women were religiously recognized sexually, we wouldn t have to feel the need to
show our... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The chorus of the song is If sex in our society, didn t tell a girl who she would be.
Through these lyrics, Diamandis relates the song to the study of gender role attitudes
and behaviors in the United States. In American society, more commonly in
decades past, women were seen as sex symbols, solely to appeal to a man s desire.
Marina expresses her belief that this sexualization is problematic and pervasive
when she sings: tired image of a star, acting naughtier than we really are . Many
times, actresses and models are presented in a way that is very provocative and
dehumanizing, especially in advertising. Most of the time, these sexual
representations of women displayed in advertisements are of no actual relevance to
the message trying to be conveyed or the product being sold. In the later verses of
the song, Diamandis talks about the other gender, and shifts the focus from women
to men , by singing the line if sex in a society, didn t tell a guy who he should be.
Many times people believe that gender stereotypes only apply to women, but that s
not the case; males are faced with the pressure of having to be unemotional, manly,
independent, assertive and leaders in
Masculinity In The Terminator
What defines masculinity is the traits and values that are considered to characterise
the male gender at any given time. Consequently, the definition of masculinity
keeps changing as people change their views of what characteristics a man should
require. The biggest influence of the definition of masculinity is media. It is where
we receive information about what is normal and cool . Films and television shows
have a huge impact on how we view the world and they can alter our opinions on
different topics. On that basis, Film and television play a big role in how we define
masculinity.
In this essay I will look at how gender is constructed in The Terminator and how
cultural aspects influence the film.
During the late 20th century medias association to defining masculinity became more
visible. It was reflecting the current values of masculinity as well as to help shape it
into what it would become in the future.
American values in the 1970 s rapidly changed due to a variety of new political
movements. Two of these had a great deal of impact on the ideals of masculinity. Men
s Liberty Movement and the second wave of feminism helped blur the lines between
masculinity and femininity.
During the 70s various films and TV shows featured strong, intelligent females that
where significant to the storyline and often ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Amendment he gained a great deal of male supporters that began to identify with the
new president and what he stood for. This led to a radical new view on masculinity

War was going on at the time, and he said he was fanatically patriotic . But he
eventually got stationed in Korea and hadn t seen any combat. His attitude quickly
changed, and it became to him not having much of a future in the army. He did learn
one skill that he would use later in life though: the use of deadly weapons. He got the

Persuasive Essay On Deforestation
Mahatma Gandhi once stated, What we are doing to the forests of the world is but
a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another .
Excessive deforestation is believed to be one of the leading causes of climate
change and habitat loss in the world. Daniel Quinn, an American writer claims that
...man was innocent until he discovered the difference between good and evil.
When he was no longer oblivious of that knowledge, he became a fallen creature...
We are destroying the world because we are, in a very literal and deliberate way, at
war with it. Deforestation goes even farther than prove what Quinn stated is correct.
We are destroying our planet with diminished forests, mass animal extinction, and
climate change; all because of deforestation.
Rainforests, forests, and jungles cover a massive part of our Earth. Every day, trees
are being cut down. Henceforth, the trees carbon dioxide is being released back into
the air. According to Climate Change, Deforestation, and the Fate of the Amazon,
published by the non profit organization American Association for the Advancement
of Science, Amazonian forests have a substantial influence on regional and global
climates. Hence, their removal by deforestation can itself be a driver of climate
change and a positive feedback on externally forced climate change . If the number of
deforested lands rises, our atmosphere will be full of carbon. Climateandweather.net

The Course of Political Development in Uganda and its Effect on Economic
Development
Development has recently become a new buzz word in international relations.
Through an exploration of political, social and economic development around the
globe, scholars are trying to understand which policies are most beneficial, and why
certain policies are effective and why some fail. The connection between different
types of development is often an important part of this research as well. The
connection between political and economic development is of specific interest since
the end of the Cold War and the failure of most communist based systems. The

Political and economic development in Uganda based on these terms provides a
strong case for the relationship between the two. The lack of political development in
Uganda since independence from Britain in 1962 has hindered economic
development and it was not until recent political stability that Uganda has been able
to experience any sort of economic development.
To understand the political development in Uganda, it is important to start shortly
before 1962 to examine the political atmosphere of independence. Under the
colonial system, Uganda was a protectorate, meaning that land rights of Africans
were respected, despite the commonplace of forced labor and high taxes. In 1961
Uganda was granted self rule before gaining full independence in 1962. With the
granting of self rule, three major political parties formed, the Uganda People s
Congress (UPC), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Kabaka Yekka (KY). The main
platform of the UPC was nationalist and the party strived to unite all Ugandans
despite ethnic differences. The KY was mainly an ethnic party consisting of the
Baganda people who were the most favored under British rule. An alliance between
the UPC and KY gave them more collective strength than the DP and increased the
political power of Milton Obote.
At independence in 1962, Obote, of the UPC, was appointed Prime
Incidence Rate Of Skin Cancer
Abstract: Incidence rate of skin cancer are increasing day by day. Skin cancer is one
of the deadliest forms of cancer but detected earlier can save the life time of the
human being. An automated screening system is introduced to identify the presence
of skin cancer in advance. In this paper, texture distinctiveness lesion segmentation
algorithm is used. Experience and training based characteristics of back propagation
neural network is used with texture distinctiveness lesion segmentation algorithm, for
identifying the normal and abnormal portions of skin. The most commonly occurring
skin cancers are Melanoma, Basal and squamous cell carcinomaand actinic keratosis.
The proposed system is to diagnose the presence of these skin cancers with high
segmentation accuracy.

As the oldest sister in my family, sticking together and cooperating with one

would always tell us to stick together, that s what I told my siblings, they took my

The Behavior and Study of Particles Essay
Particles are a very important part of this world. From the particles that make up all
the humans in the world to the particles that make up the clothes we wear. Particles
define the world we live in and everything we know about it. From the behavior of
particles, scientists can determine many things about the world and the way it works.
The simple definition of a particle is that it is a minute portion of matter. While not
incorrect this answer lacks complexity. As was previously stated, particles make up
everything; but, they also make up even the most basic form of matter the atom.
Protons, neutrons, and electrons are all particles that make up an atom. Protons and
neutrons themselves are made of individual particles called quarks. A... Show more

Mesons, made of quark pairs, are usually found in cosmic rays. Quarks combine to
form charges of 1, 0, or +1. Quarks in Baryons and Mesons are bound together by
strong forces formed from the exchange of gluons. Much like how the
electromagnetic force strength is determined by the amount of electric charge, the
strong force strength is determined by a new quantity called color charge.
(abyss.uoregon.edu)
Quarks come in three colors, red, blue, and green. Although the implication is that
quarks are colored, these terms are not meant to indicate a particular hue but
instead describe the color of the charge of the quark. So, unlike electromagnetic
charges which come in two types (positive and negative or north and south), color
charge in quarks comes in three types. Color charge also has its anti particle nature.
So there is anti red, anti blue and anti green. Gluons serve to act as the carrier of the
color when they interact with quarks. Baryons and mesons must have a mix of colors
such that the result is white. For example, red, blue, and green make white. Also red
and anti red make white. (abyss.uoregon.edu)
There can exist no free quarks; meaning no quarks can exist on their own. All quarks
must be bound to another quark or antiquark by the exchange of gluons. This is
called quark confinement. The exchange of gluons produces a color force field,
referring to the assignment of color charge to quarks, similar to electric charge. The

Enforcement Administration (DEA). I will explain the history of each agency, where
these agencies have their jurisdiction, the types of crimes they investigate and
describe the similarities and differences between the Oro Valley PoliceDepartment in
Oro Valley, Arizona and the Drug Enforcement Administration
(DEA).
History
The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) has kept the peace since 1974. In
1983, Oro Valley was home to approximately 1,500 residents and the land area was
only 4.5 square miles, since then Oro Valley has grown to approximately 44,000
residents spread out over 36 square miles. The OVPD has grown from five
commission officers to over hundred commission officers. The OVPD is known for
being one of the safest cities in the state of Arizona. From 1974 until now they have
written their mission statement and qualities they want for the town of Oro Valley.
Their mission statement is We, the members of the Oro Valley Police Department, are
dedicated to providing excellent service through partnerships that build trust, prevent
crime and promote a safe environment to enhance the quality of life. The OVPD has a

professional banker by trade, who finds himself in a situation in which he chooses
to secretly follow his beautiful wife knowing she is having an affair with the golf
pro who works at their country club. One evening, Andy, the banker, decides to
bring a gun along with him as he follows his wife and the golf pro. He stops at a
couple of bars and proceeds to become inebriated. Andy is clearly a man whom by
all means would be considered a respectable person in society and follows the
particular norms of that time until he begins to make choices to differentiate
himself from the folkways and mores of any expectations regarding the laws that
had been established for the purpose of structure, order and conformity. By all
accounts we see Andy s character reflecting certain choices of conformity in which
he clearly represents behavior and appearance that follows and maintains a
particular standard and acceptance of a group. As we learn further in the story we
must also consider the factors of behavior that reflects deviance. This behavior
challenges the norms. Andy has been convicted of violating the norms of everyday
life by murdering his wife and her lover and he is arrested for the murder. Although
in Andy s court preceding he pled innocence and expressed to the judge that he had
not murdered his wife and her lover, maintaining the story that he had sobered

Bmw, Honda, And Saab Cars
According to perceptual maps, the BMW, Honda, and SAAB cars are the main
competitors. This is because their positions are close to the Infinity G20 in the
map. Individuals view Infinity G20 as a brand for success. Moreover, they think
that it s more attractive as compared to its competitors. However, the BMW is the
most prestigious and most quite, according to the perceptual map. SAAB is the
most roomy and most quite car, according to the perceptual map. Also in Exhibit 1,
most of the respondents perceive BMW as more prestigious than the infinity G20
in the market. Most people perceive Infinity G20 as a quite car and more reliable
than most of its competitors. However, BMW and Toyota Supra proved to be the
best regarding reliability. Customers think the infinity G20 in the best built car
against its competitors. However, it doesn t stand out regarding conformability
and the ease of service. On an overall score, BMW, SAAB 900 and the Honda
emerged as the most preferred on an average rating. 2.Infiniti promoted the G20 as a
Japanese car (basic version $17,500) with a German feel, basically a car that was like
the BMW 318i ($20,000), but lower priced. Is this a credible claim, given the
perceptions and preferences of the respondents?
 According to the respondents
perceptions, the infinity G20 and the BMW 318i are almost a like. BMW s
attractiveness is slightly higher. Both cars fall into the category of the best built cars.
Subsequently, respondents think that the two

Comparing it to Superman it shows his love life does not compare to this at all.
Chretien s Lancelot is a classic courtly lover. His total devotion to Arthur s queen
gives expression to the twelfth century s exploration of a new code of elegant
courtship. (Medieval Arthurian Romances) Launcelot, falling in love with King
Arthur s queen, wife, Gwynevere is known as a courtly lover because he risks his
life just to save her even though they are not married showing his true devotion to the
King and Queen.
According to Allen King Arthur s favorite knight, Sir Launcelot, has fallen in love
with the king s wife, Gwynevere. The secret love affair is exposed by Sir Modred,
Arthur s son by another woman, and Gwynevere is sentenced to burn at the stake.
While rescuing the imprisoned Gwynevere, Launcelot slays two knights who,
unknown to him at the time, are the brother of Sir Gawain, a favorite nephew of
Arthur s. After a reconciliation, Launcelot returns Gwynevere to Arthur to be
reinstated as queen. (Allen 248)
By this statement the reader can conclude they are resembling bravery in Sir
Launcelot to risk his life to save a woman that is not his, although Gwynevere is not
his wife, but lover, he risked everything to save her life. Also act resembles courtly
love. This idea is also
How Tinnitus Is Defined As A Symptom A Perception Of
Sound
Tinnitus is defined as a symptom a perception of sound which is not relative to any
external stimulus where an individual perceives ringing, bussing and other sounds in
varying durations of episodes which can be continuous, intermittent or pulsatile in a
range of frequency and intensities which are often unable to be masked by external
sounds. Tinnitusaffects approximately 5 15% of the western adult population with 1
2% of the population to a debilitating degree (Schlee et al,. 2011).
Tinnitus can be separated into two categories, subjective tinnitus shows no objective
sound and is only heard by the patient, Objective tinnitus is the less common type
which can often be heard by an observer by stethoscope as it is caused by
conductions such as turbulence and pulsation of muscle spasms in body tissues such
as middle ear, Eustachian tube or soft palate. Currently, there is no FDA or EMA
approved drugs on the market for this specific purpose. (Langguth and Elgoyhen,
2012) Many studies have been carried out to find a successful pharmacological
treatment for tinnitus but had critical flaws in their design and methods; Some fail to
adopt the correct analytical method to measure their outcomes which affect their
external validity, four studies have been chosen each addressing different treatments
using single or combination of drugs for analysis in their methodology and
experimental design .

When racism is used in comedy, it tends to normalize racial stereotypes and then
these stereotypes become common sense. This film in particular helps classify our
world in terms of the categories of race (Hall). As viewers, either white or black, we
can t help but receive the film as offensive. White chicks has managed to offend most
of the demographic of their audience. Depicting white people as pretentious and rich
and black people in a derogatory manner is offensive, no matter how you spin it.
But as a film in the comedy genre, the viewers know that the media text was meant
as a joke. So people could find the stereotype jokes were funny, because there is truth
to them (which is indicative of a problem of normalized racial
Australopithecus Afarensis, and Australopithecus
Africanus...
The phylogeny started off with Proconsul heseloni as the common ancestor to
Sivapithecus indicus, Australopithecus afarensis, and Australopithecus Africanus.
The reasoning for this was from the approximated age of Proconsul heseloni of 23
million years ago. This places Sivapithecus indicus roughly 15 million years after,
suggesting that Sivapithecus indicus directly evolved from Proconsul heseloni.
From Proconsul heseloni, it was decided that three species evolved from it. These
species included A. A. afarensis, A. africanus and Sivapithecus indicus. Sivapithecus
indicus was branched off the early human evolutionary line as the characteristics from
the dentation and skull characteristics differed from that of A. afarensis and A.
africanus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This difference can be used to infer that they lived in different areas of the world as
it can be assumed that the diets of the two were unalike, explaining the dissimilarity
of the canine size. As it is inferred that the two species lived in different regions of
the world, it can be assumed that they co existed at the same time period.
Homo habilis followed A. africanus indicating that A. africanus was a direct
ancestor of H. habilis. The reasoning for this included the brain weight and body
weight of the H. habilis slightly increased from that of A. africanus. As there was a
general increase the overall brain to body weight ratio, indicating that there was an
increase in the overall body weight of the two.
Homo erectus was branched off after H. habilis as the justification for this was from
the muzzle angles of the different species. As H. erectus had a muzzle angle of
107В° it was decided that it was reasonable to assume that H. erectus evolved from
H. habilis. However, in the overall positioning of the phylogeny, it was placed on a
side branch off H. habilis. This reasoning for this was that if H. erectus was placed
on the main evolutionary line to evolve from H. ergaster, the muzzle angles from H.
ergaster, H. erectus, and Homo neaderthalensis would increase then decrease. It
would not be logical to place H. erectus on the main evolutionary line. Further
justification that H. erectus was not a direct ancestor

We nurture and assist the growth of each and every child s Catholic identity with the
integration of Religious Education into everyday life; by proclaiming the good news
of Jesus in my teachings and expressing to the children that we are Jesus hands, feet,
voice and heart in everything that we do. The children s carry out their own faith
journeys by leading their learning and building on their individual understandings.
At All Saints we value individuality by constantly referring to each individual as a
unique creation and a gift of God that is to be cherished and embraced. I do this
through appreciating each individual s efforts in the classroom, each with their own
gifts and talents. I recognise and cater for the 100 languages of children, allowing
children to represent their understandings in ways that they choose. This is
demonstrated in my classroom through displays of work with wire, clay, artist pens,
natural materials, documentation of dialogue and written work. The children are
encouraged to pave their own learning journeys and strive towards their individual
goals. The children are involved with various pastoral care activities across the school
community that promote the celebration of God s creations, the children.
By embracing the Reggio Emilia Philosophy our school links the natural
environment to learning experiences as reflection, inspiration, awe and remembrance
of God s creation. The children are exposed to and encouraged to be critical
How Did Karen Horney Contribute To Psychology
Topic A woman with many attributes in the Psychology field is out of the
ordinary, but Karen Horney did just that. She paved the way for women around the
world to make it far in life. Karen did her best to prove that women do make a
difference in the world and can be just as beneficial as men. Starting out she was
forced to live a life of depression and struggle, but unlike most she turned it into a
future (Boeree, 2012). Living her life on the path of discovery, Horney wanted to
work out different ways for people to cope with life struggle, rather than push them
aside (Boeree, 2012). This lead to her studies in psychoanalysis and neurology, which
would give her the fame and structure that was needed to make a life for herself and

As Horney first discovered, neurosis was something that would describe the
condition that came with her life of misfortunes (Langenderfer). Neurosis is
defined as a mild mental illness that is caused by constant stressors, in Horney s
case the death of loved ones and her father s abusive temperament (Langenderfer).
With Horney s past being considered, psychologists were able to gear their research
around children, in hopes of taking away their anxiety (Ingram, 2012). Having this
knowledge made it easy for a psychologist to work with children while showing
parents how the challenges can affect their child in the long run. The study of
neurosis was one of Karen s psychic disturbances brought on by fears and the patients
attempt to put them aside (Langenderfer). Karen s studies were determined to explain
that those fighting with neurosis were dealing with inner struggles. Neurosis is seen
as an inability to adapt to the environment, to change one s life, and a more satisfying

The Mother Daughter Relationship in Amy Tan s The Joy...
The Joy Luck Club is a representation of the persistent tensions and powerful bonds
between mother and daughter in a Chinese American society. The book illustrates the
hardships both the mother and daughters go through in order to please the other.
Also, it shows the troubles the daughters face when growing up in two cultures. This
book reveals that most of the time mothers really do know best.
In Rules of the Game we see a mother daughter conflict. Waverly s mother is always

being exploited by her own mother because she was raised in a society with more
American influence than Chinese. In a Chinese society a woman s social standing is

what her mother had told her. She remembers how her mother left her babies

her mother did this because she knew it would benefit June for the rest of her life.
Because of the death of her mother, June was forced to take the place of her mother
in more than just filling her place at the Maj Jong table. The mother daughter
tradition was broken because the lost babies were found after the death of their
mother. June s trip to China can be seen as the completion of her mother s promise to
return, honoring her sisters by attempting to transfer what she had absorbed from her
mother and her tradition.
And I think, My mother is right. I am becoming Chinese (Tan 306). This is what June
thinks as she crosses into China. Like the Taoist Yin/Yang symbol, June and her
mother have become two of the same thing. The only difference being their thoughts,
June with American, her mother with Chinese. This has kept the mother daughter
tradition alive but has also weakened it. This happens often, but there is always
something that sticks and is passed down from generation from generation.

some hidden steps for people how starts to read or want to read more? Sherman
wrote about his story with reading, how did he starts reading, his idol that influence
him to read, the first thing he read, his classmate reading level, and his struggle as
young Indian in reservation schools. The focusing of Sherman essay was on the
young native American and how they should read more and to give them the support
they need, so they can save their own lives, the same thing that happen with him, but
if non Indians read this essay they can also see Sherman as example and they could

Sherman s father was an avid reader of westerns, spy thrillers, murder mysteries,
gangster epics, and basketball player biographies, most of what his father liked
was popular novel and short story genres that had a lot of actions and mysteries.
These types of books can be found everywhere, Sherman picked out these books
that his father owned and he started to read them. He is giving an example for the
reader to that they don t need to buy books to read, just look of books that family
member or roommate had, and if you finish reading these books or didn t found one
them you can buy new or used books. Sherman s father buy a lot of books and he
build bookshelves for it, and he starts adding more books to his collection like the
Kennedy assassination, Watergate, the Vietnam War, and the entire 23 book series of
the Apache westerns, these books are so long and complicated and sometime had
hidden meaning, and that is the third step that Sherman give to the reader. He also
talked about the school, the place that people expect to learn reading from, as an
Indian people were expiating him to failed and he would get bullied by his
classmates how want him to stop learning from non Indian teachers, but he kept
Popcorn History
A history of popcorn
When it comes to popcorn, more often than not it s the sound that hits you first with
its pop, pop, popping . It starts off nice and slowly before heading full steam ahead
into a firestorm of kernels as they almost magically transform into clouds of crunchy
white goodness. The next thing you ll no doubt notice is the incredible smell that
wafts through the room and eventually the entire house, slowly pulling you in as it
teases your nose. You ll feel weak as the popcorntantalises your taste buds. By the
time your teeth crunch down on the first bite, you re totally and utterly hooked.
Popcorn happens to be one of the most popular snacks and described by some as a
completely irresistible treat. As they say, the proof is... Show more content on

His recipe included the use of a grill, a half pint glass of popcorn and a frying pan
that had been rubbed with lard or butter. He advised holding the pan over the fire
whilst constantly stirring or shaking the corn and within a few minutes, the
popcorn should have turned inside out to reveal the delicious white, fluffy centre.
He also mentioned the addition of salt or sugar whilst it was still hot for added
flavour. The issue with this particular method however seemed to be with the lard
or butter. The butter would usually begin to burn before the pan reached a hot
enough temperature and the lard would create popcorn that was covered in slime
like grease. It wasn t until the latter portion of the 19th century that a more efficient
way of popping popcorn was discovered. What were deemed to be poppers were
actually boxes made of tight wire gauze and had long handles attached. They were
designed to be held over an open flame. The design of poppers offered a number of
benefits including the containment of popped kernels whilst also keeping any hands
away from the heat source. Over the years, the popper became hugely popular and
as a result a number of improvements were made to make it bigger and better than
ever. Due to the improvements, popcorn became even more accessible to the masses
of people wanting to get their hands on
Argument For Inductive Reasoning
Inductive reasoning is.
Inductive reasoning is a probabilistic reasoning in which the main claim concerns the
improbability of the conclusion being false given the premises being true. Premises
of an inductive argument do not entail the conclusion.
In deciding whether or not an argument in inductive it is important to pay attention to
the occurrence of special indicators words, the actual strength of the inferential link
between the premises and conclusion, and the style of argumentations. However, in
case of a conflict between the indicators and form and the inferential links, indicators
have the least priority in deciding the kind of underlying reasoning, simply because,
the language of many arguments is incomplete.

I haven t read many books about philosophy and never invested much time and effort
in learning and evaluating the subtle arguments out there. I m taking baby steps in
practicing philosophy and anything I write here is for the purpose of delivering this
assignment and challenging myself to formulate some ideas that can easily be wrong.
With that in mind, this is what I think about Hume s Problem of Induction:
a) Healthy skepticism. This is the keyword in Hume s argument. What I take from his
line of reasoning is that we should always save a place in our mind for doubting
our conclusions and being open to other ideas. Knowing that our past experiences
aren t a box in which we can contain the universe and expect it to behave within our
self appointed candidates of frameworks can lead to some real nasty dogmatic beliefs.
b) Credibility vs. absolute truths. Theories gain credibility as the body of data grows
and fits within the theory, all attempts to falsify it fail, and they lead us to a better
understanding of the surroundings which in due time become a part of our
knowledge about the word. Theories aren t our way of claiming to know the absolute
truth about a subject or unchanging declarations written in stone. Induction and
deduction, testing and predictions are tools we use to form the best possible model of
reality that matches that of the real

The Work Of Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson, both as a solo artist and also within the group of his family band

record setting album sales. The Jackson family from Gary Indiana were a rags to
riches tale that was built on sacrifice, talent and hard work. Michael was born into

Moving to Canada was the toughest days of my life. People in my country believe
that my education would be increased and I became a better person. On the
contrary, not everything happened in an instance. I have to undergo in a lot of
difficulties to achieve my goals. I kept saying to myself that I might change my
mind to give up on school and become an alcoholic or a drug addicts. But, my
conscience told me to follow my dream. Difficulties I faced in Canada were
orienting me to this new place. However, the toughest one of all was the language
barrier. In my country, it s mandatory to learn English and French considering the
past of colonization in my country. If I don t study those languages in school, the
government could sue my parents. Likewise Creole was my native language which
consisted of French and African words. To contrast, the English taught in my
country was insignificant compared to Canada. It put a lot of stress on me as well
as my parents. But after two years, I managed to get out of this weight. My main
sourced was reading many books that were an advised by a teacher. This definitely
changed my life and overcome this shyness. After all, the fear of failure from not
having a better future and no reputation made me kept on in
Dbq the Renaissance
The Renaissance was primarily thought of as being a period in which the revival of
learning flourished, and the arts changed for the better and ideas became more
focused life on earth. It was a time when new ideas of individualism, the thought of
secularism and the interest in human ideas jumpstarted a new and freer lifestyle for
everyone. The new ideas formed in the renaissancemade enough impact on the
world them and ever since that it deserves to be called its own era. The medieval
times was filled with ideas based just around the church. As the Renaissance began,
the arts developed into a freer and move creative society based on more Greek and
Roman ideas. Finding the feudal and ecclesiastical literature and Gothic art of the...

Government Fiscal Policy
US Federal Gov. and Fiscal Policy Paper
In this paper, I will tell you about the United States Federal Government and how
they enact their countries Fiscal Policy. I will also speak of the times where the
economy can not help themselves what the government must do. Even though I will
also tell you whether or not I think the fiscal policy is well executed and who Ben
Bernanke and John Maynard Keynes is, while further elaborate about discretionary
fiscal policy, and speak of the times when the government must step in to improve the
economy when the economy can not help itself. In my opinion, our country as a

The unemployment rate has been higher than most countries. Looking back seven
years starting at 2009 to 2015, the rate has declined as well as escalated. I will be
discussing the Month of October throughout the years because the Bureau of
Labor Statistics only has their 2015 fact until October and has not published for
the month of November. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics as of
October 2009 the unemployment rate was at a high of 10.0 percent,2010 9.4
percent, 2011 8.8 percent, 2012 7.8 percent, 2013 7.2, 2014 5.7, and 2015 5.0.
Based on the facts comparing 2009 to 2015 the unemployment rate has literally
dropped in half. The lowest our unemployment rate has ever been was 2.5 percent
in May and June of the year 1953. The next thing I asked myself did we achieve full
Price stability. First you need to know what price stability mean, price stability
according to the Glossary on page G 22, is a steadiness of the price level from one
period to the next. Keeping a zero or the low annual inflation rate, this is also called
Price Level Stability. According to our Federal Chair Janet Yellen who recently took
Ben Bernanke s place, she stated in her second public speech that for the first time in
nearly a decade the United states economy will be approaching maximum
employment and price stability. There still are many questions that I have yet to
answer, has the US Government done its job and achieved full
The Evolution of Human Communication
Technology started out as a way to help the human population make life easier on
humanity, but once it becomes smarter than us will it really help or hinder our way
of life. The definition of technology is machinery and equipment developed from the
application of scientific knowledge , according to Google. When you pick up your
smartphone do you ever really think that it may be hurting the humanrace? Once your
child sees you doing this action every hour of every day they will want to also do
what you are doing. Children have been getting phones with more power than ever
before, but are they using it correctly? Who has been there to teach them what to do
on the phone other than their friends? The school systems are doing things such as
limiting your child s use of electronic devices during classes to increase learning,
but is this really working? This smartphone that you have supplied your child with
could cause them to start wearing clothes like the other children are wearing. As an
adult I can tell you from my own experiences I have become more dependent on my
smartphone to tell me things about my friends, what I m going to do tonight and
what to wear thanks to my applications that have eliminated the need to look outside.
Taking a look on how technologywill affect the next generation and how it currently
affects society is a good thing, but when you see all of the dangers that we may be
faced with it makes you think should we change our ways? In the 1900 s social
Anthropology And The Study Of Culture
1.Anthropology and the Study of Culture
a.The field of anthropology that I find to be most interesting is anthropological
linguistics. Personally, I believe this subdivision is so interesting because it is so
diverse and covers so much ground on how our language and others have evolved
over time. Ranging from early cave writings, to sign language, to the language and
slang we all know and use today, language among not only our cultures but also
others have vastly changed and there is proof of this that dates back to ancient
times. The mere complexity of our current language is beyond what past
civilizations could have even imagined it would come to be. What I find to be very
interesting is the fact that even today our upbringing, social class, or cultural
norms, can define how we speak. For instance, there are certain slangs or terms
that someone may say because they were brought up around people who spoke
using that kind of language. While this is true for some, but not all, children of an
upper class parents may grow up speaking very formally, and be taught to not use
any slang or vulgar words. They continue using this vocabulary further on in life
because it is what they were taught to do. This can also be applied to any other
social class, or even differ between people from different geographic locations.
Linguistics is often learned and adopted from generation to generation and from
civilization to civilization.
b.A person who studies anthropological linguistics

  • 2. Parable Of The Sower, The Flowers, By Bram Stoker A well developed setting gives a reader a clear intuition on how the characters will behave, but the best developed characters provide unpredictability in terms of how much they defy the expectations assigned to them based on setting. The setting of a novel encaptures many things, ranging from era, climate, and environment. Setting automatically has effect on characters be it in terms of their physical appearance, emotional maturity, language, or age but the depth of a character oftentimes changes based on setting. In Dracula, Parable of the Sower, and The Flowers, each respective femaleprotagonist Mina, Lauren, and Myop, changes and grows positively. The shifts in setting foster character growth; each character become more enlightened and self sufficient. Furthermore, each story relates to Plato s The Allegory of the Cave, in that as each character ventures further away from the circle of their own comfort and knowledge, they become progressively less ignorant and more informed. Dracula, written by Bram Stoker, takes place in the Victorian Era, Europe. The Victorian Era, despite being one of the only periods of reign under a female, is widely known as being a time where women were repressed and men were prioritized. Males strived to embody a young, clean businessman who provided for his family. He made the decisions and controlled the family. The idealized female catered to her family, namely her husband. She was subject to others and did not employ

Erving Goffman Social Life According to Erving Goffman ,social life is a drama or a stage play .There are three elements of dramaturgy which is behaving like actor ,presenting the self and performing interaction rituals. First is behaving like actors. The meaning of behaving like actors is playing the character such as daughter or son, father or mother , husband and wife and so on. Everyone must have more than character in our live. In different character, we will act by following the character such as I am a mother, I will cook for my familymembers and I will help to clean the house;if I am a student,I will act like a student to respect the lecturer, bring notes to the class and will not disturb others student and we learn these from the others such as learn from our

The people of Mesopotamia knew of few cultures other than themselves and had no basis for what their lives should be and therefore developed their own way of life. • 6. Essay Medieval Europe Since the Council of Nicaea called in the fourth century by Constantine to the early eleventh century, the Church was never established as a free standing institution. For over eight hundred years the Church had been under the authority of secular powers. Charlemagne and the Carolingians emperors saw themselves as the ones to maintain the Church materially, organizationally, and spiritually, while the popewas only an example of ideal Christian living. Social deterioration led to the corruption of the Church and its offices; simony being the biggest problem. The papacy itself was corrupted by simony and Roman politics. While reform had been taking place in the local levels for some time, the papacy was the last part of the Church to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The next pope to further the papal reformation was Nicholas II. Pope Nicholas II built upon what Leo IX had already done. Nicholas and a council produced the Lateran synod of April 1059. The synod ended clerical marriage and established clergy celibacy. It also added to the strict prevention of simony. Also with the synod, Nicholas and the council made two major decisions that would shape the papacy up until today. The first of these decisions was to condemn the practice of lay investiture. The ritual by which a lay prince invested a priest or bishop with the insignia of his office suggested that the ecclesiastical authority was subordinate to the secular (Backman, 270). The papacy now condemned this seeing as the reforming popes were trying to establish the Church as an entity on its own. The Church wanted to control everything about itself and completely cut off any secular ties trying to control it. The second major decision Nicholas and the council made was mad in the Papal Election Decree of 1059. This was to ensure no pope could ever be placed in power by a secular ruler but only elected by the College of Cardinals. Backman describes it as this: ...for all eternity the only way for any individual to become the legitimate pontiff of the Holy Catholic Church was to be freely elected to the position by the College of Cardinals. This decree removed the Holy See from the clutched of the Roman magnates, but it also
  • 7. The Responsibility Of The Right Holders A large component of this involves identifying the responsibility of the right holders (the Aboriginal People) and the duty bearers (the Canadian government). Under s. 91(24) of the Constitution Act, 1967, the Canadian government has a fiduciary obligation to address First Nations safe drinking water. After years of pressure, the government proposed Bill S 11 in 2010 as a viable solution. Bill S 11 sought to address the issue of First Nations access to clean drinking waterrights. Unfortunately, it was not passed. Recently, the Liberal government promised in its 2015 election campaign to ensure that First Nations had access to clean water. The current government should consider revisiting Bill S 11 and provide a clause that recognizes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These streams are believed to operate independently from one another; however, all three streams need to connect in order for a policy change to emerge. Fundamentally, the policy streams model focuses on the importance of timing and the actions that influence policy actions. In addition, these streams are supported through the actions of lobbyists and interest groups. The streams model can be used to explain how the timing was right for the Liberal government to enact the policy that would ensure Aboriginal people had the right to quality water in their communities through the passage of Bill S 11. When the problem, policy and political streams align, it creates what is known to be a window of opportunity. Kingdon defined the policy window as an opportunity that allows advocates to bring their problems to the government s attention. The window of opportunity opens up at a specific time for a specific policy when the three separate streams of problems, policies and politics come together. In regards to First Nations right to water, the window of opportunity is present for the current government to draft and pass a legislation that recognizes and ensure that Aboriginal people have their right to quality water is upheld by the government. The Grassy Narrows mercury poisoning opened a window of policy opportunity for the Canadian government to acknowledge that there is a problem that needs to be
  • 8. Rise Of Globalization The rise of globalization following WWII generated three important factors that define today s world. McNeill and McNeill agree with Pollard, Rosenberg, and Tignor that multiple economic changes, such as the creation of financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) contributed to the globalizationof the world economy. Carter and Warren further this argument by claiming that globalization has caused shifts in the modern economy, namely the rise of Asian economic powers. However, all three historians agree that the rise of globalization goes hand in hand with the rise of inequality in today s world. Gaps in power, wealth, and access to information have only widened due to the trend of globalization. The final key factor defining our world today are the ongoing processes affecting development countries. McNeill and McNeill argue similarly to Carter and Warren that the end of imperialism generated new nations who quickly realized the free market was a pathway to stability. However, Pollard et al. and McNeill and McNeill place importance on financial institutions like the IMF forcing developing nations to reform their economies to be subservient to the world s economy. Together, these historians argue that the trend of globalization following WWII caused factors like the modern global economy, the rise in inequality, and the development of new, decolonized nations to be key determiners in the world today. As the world globalized following WWII, the

If the patient takes the prescribed drug correctly, than the drug should work, right? What if the patient takes the drug correctly, but the problem is still not fixed? The possibilities are endless with the controversial drug, Xanax. The purpose of Xanax is to make the patient less anxious, but in most cases, it does not. There is a bigger story behind Xanax than most people know, it effects the body in many different ways, and it is not recommended to take if not prescribed. Xanax is a drug that treats anxiety, panic disorder, sleeplessness, and sometimes used for short term relief of extreme stress. These medications can also calm patients in danger of hurting themselves or hurting others, and soothe patients dealing with tragic life events. Xanax comes in the form of a tablet, an extended release tablet, and a concentrated solution. This drug is prescribed by a doctor and comes with many rules. If the patient abuses the drug there is a high risk of addiction. Many patients need 4 milligrams of the pill a day. Using that high of a dosage may cause the patient to become addicted. • 11. My Last Duchess Diction My Last Duchess in itself is a Victorian reflection on Renaissance Italy. It explores societal schemas which permeated both aristocratic societies extensively, such as societal entitlement and a narcissistic and oppressive attitude. Browning takes this to a deeper level by exploring these temperaments in the speaker; the Dukeof Ferrara. This is achieved through the use of structure and syntax to provide insight into the psyche of the speaker by insinuating and presenting the real ideology of the speaker through the development of a societal interaction. Browning employs thematic progression lead by the speaker delivered through a dramatic monologue, forced sentences of genuine nature, and the use of vivid imagery and syntax to create such... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One can imagine the messenger standing up and bolting towards the stairs, to warn his master of the dark intentions of the Duke, only to be abruptly halted. This is a clear example of his controlling nature and provides insight into the oppressive nature of the Duke. The Duke is so narcissistic and oppressive the he feels entitled to express his darkest attributes and still maintain his social and political status through subtle yet blunt manipulation. This is reflected in the structure of the poem through the use of a dramatic monologue; where the Duke commands the conversion and guides it where he wants to go, forcing his thoughts onto the audience and drawing focus only to what he desires. This mentality of oppression is further reflected in the diction and syntax that is used; where the Duke uses phrases to control the individual in a seemingly polite way. This view is shared by Joshua Adler in his article Structure and Meaning in Browning s My Last Duchess . Throughout the interview the Duke is, in effect, manipulating his guest as if he were a puppet sit down, stand up, look at this, notice that and his manner is indicative of his whole attitude to life, for in the main body of the monologue the same habits are revealed as in the double frame. The structure of the poem thus corresponds perfectly to its content: just as the monologue is cramped in and the listener held down, so had the Duke attempted to confine his wife within the bounds imposed by his inflexible will. • 12. Essay on Miles Franklin s My Brilliant Career Miles Franklin s My Brilliant Career Topic: Give a detailed analysis of a key scene or passage from My Brilliant Career by Miles Franklin. The focus and essence of My Brilliant Career by Miles Franklin is centred on the relationships and interactions of Sybylla Melvyn (the key character of the novel), towards other characters. The ways in which she reacts to different people and why she reacts in a particular manner, are perhaps more crucial and intriguing to the reader, than any distinct event throughout the novel. Sybylla s logic and thinking about herself, others and life, have been moulded by her very influential relationships with her mother and father. In her childhood she is quite proud of her father as he owned successful properties and was reasonably wealthy. He had a clear focus on life. However, as her father s wealth and status dwindles and he becomes alcoholic, Sybylla is lost and is inevitably always searching for the heroic father figure which is now absent in her life, and that she so desperately needs for guidance, as she becomes a young woman. This she finds in Harold Beecham. Therefore, Sybylla cannot bring herself to become close or intimate with Harold as there is the feeling of verging on the edge of incest. When he gets too close for comfort, she retaliates by hitting him. Sybylla s relationship or view of herself also comes out in Chapter 20. Throughout the novel, she has a superficial view of herself, constantly looking at herself as she imagines others see her. She has low self esteem and endlessly insists that she is ugly. Sybylla likes to compare herself to other women. In the beginning of Chapter 20, she compares herself to Miss Derrick, whom everyone comments on as being beautiful. Sybylla is already somewhat jealous of Miss Derrick as she (Derrick) spent most of that day with Harold Beecham (previous chapter). This also confirms that she has feelings for Harold. Sybylla says of Miss Derrick She was a big handsome woman (Franklin 136). Then she
  • 13. Origin Of Agriculture And Village Life Origin of Agriculture and Village Life: Natufian Culture vs. Early Chinese Neolihic Food is one of the most biological needs of human, so obtaining food has always been in human priority. So the question here is that if our ancient could hunt and gather, why did some ancient societies turn to food production and sedentism? Well, in contrast to hunting and gathering as a way of life of our ancients, agriculture implies modifying the environment in order to exploit it more effectively. According to a study of prehistory, the transition from food hunting and gathering to food producing and settling did not take place suddenly in any part of the world. It is not just an event, but it is truly a process (Bar Yosef,1998). This process was the first unambiguously cultural revolution in human technology and ecology. There are many scholars which have been developed many other hypotheses to explain the origin of agriculture. In my paper today, I am going to compare and contrast two cases studies of the transition from hunter gatherer to agricultural societies and village life which are the Natufian culture in Southwest Asian and the Early Chinese Neolithic in China to explain the origin of agriculture and village life. The agricultural revolution was the wise scale transition of many human cultures from hunting and gathering lifestyle to one of agriculture and settlement which allow the ability to handle an increasingly larger population First of all, we compare the timing of the
  • 14. Sex Yeah Paraphrase My next song for analysis is, Sex, Yeah by Marina Diamandis. The song begins immediately by mocking modern day pop culture. Just about every song you hear on pop radio is about sex. Marina repeats the word sex to lead the listener into thinking it s another overly sexualized, shallow pop song. This first line, however, is pure satire and takes a direct jab at the shallow tendencies of today s music. With the use of a skeptical and condescending tone through her lyrics, Sex Yeah evokes a feeling of doubt in the listener. This Song is thoroughly denotative as Diamandis directly addresses the issue and makes her message clear with phrases such as If women were religiously recognized sexually, we wouldn t have to feel the need to show our... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The chorus of the song is If sex in our society, didn t tell a girl who she would be. Through these lyrics, Diamandis relates the song to the study of gender role attitudes and behaviors in the United States. In American society, more commonly in decades past, women were seen as sex symbols, solely to appeal to a man s desire. Marina expresses her belief that this sexualization is problematic and pervasive when she sings: tired image of a star, acting naughtier than we really are . Many times, actresses and models are presented in a way that is very provocative and dehumanizing, especially in advertising. Most of the time, these sexual representations of women displayed in advertisements are of no actual relevance to the message trying to be conveyed or the product being sold. In the later verses of the song, Diamandis talks about the other gender, and shifts the focus from women to men , by singing the line if sex in a society, didn t tell a guy who he should be. Many times people believe that gender stereotypes only apply to women, but that s not the case; males are faced with the pressure of having to be unemotional, manly, independent, assertive and leaders in
  • 15. Masculinity In The Terminator What defines masculinity is the traits and values that are considered to characterise the male gender at any given time. Consequently, the definition of masculinity keeps changing as people change their views of what characteristics a man should require. The biggest influence of the definition of masculinity is media. It is where we receive information about what is normal and cool . Films and television shows have a huge impact on how we view the world and they can alter our opinions on different topics. On that basis, Film and television play a big role in how we define masculinity. In this essay I will look at how gender is constructed in The Terminator and how cultural aspects influence the film. During the late 20th century medias association to defining masculinity became more visible. It was reflecting the current values of masculinity as well as to help shape it into what it would become in the future. American values in the 1970 s rapidly changed due to a variety of new political movements. Two of these had a great deal of impact on the ideals of masculinity. Men s Liberty Movement and the second wave of feminism helped blur the lines between masculinity and femininity. But he eventually got stationed in Korea and hadn t seen any combat. His attitude quickly changed, and it became to him not having much of a future in the army. He had buddies in the military, but no close friends. His barracks mates called him Wolf, on the count of all of his body hair. He would later brag about being with Korean prostitutes, and excessive experimentation with LSD, marijuana, mescaline, and amphetamines. But the truth seems to be that his main sexual activity throughout his entire life was masturbation. In January 1973 his unit was sent back to Fort Knox, KY and with the move, his military career seem to disappear. Also with the move, he had a spiritual rebirth, and began attending services at Beth Haven Baptist Church in Louisville and soon changed from a Jew to a Christian. Excessive deforestation is believed to be one of the leading causes of climate change and habitat loss in the world. Daniel Quinn, an American writer claims that ...man was innocent until he discovered the difference between good and evil. When he was no longer oblivious of that knowledge, he became a fallen creature... We are destroying the world because we are, in a very literal and deliberate way, at war with it. Deforestation goes even farther than prove what Quinn stated is correct. We are destroying our planet with diminished forests, mass animal extinction, and climate change; all because of deforestation. Rainforests, forests, and jungles cover a massive part of our Earth. Every day, trees are being cut down. Henceforth, the trees carbon dioxide is being released back into the air. The lack of political development in Uganda since independence from Britain in 1962 has hindered economic development and it was not until recent political stability that Uganda has been able to experience any sort of economic development. To understand the political development in Uganda, it is important to start shortly before 1962 to examine the political atmosphere of independence. Under the colonial system, Uganda was a protectorate, meaning that land rights of Africans were respected, despite the commonplace of forced labor and high taxes. In 1961 Uganda was granted self rule before gaining full independence in 1962. With the granting of self rule, three major political parties formed, the Uganda People s Congress (UPC), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Kabaka Yekka (KY). The main platform of the UPC was nationalist and the party strived to unite all Ugandans despite ethnic differences. The KY was mainly an ethnic party consisting of the Baganda people who were the most favored under British rule. An alliance between the UPC and KY gave them more collective strength than the DP and increased the political power of Milton Obote. At independence in 1962, Obote, of the UPC, was appointed Prime
  • 20. Incidence Rate Of Skin Cancer Abstract: Incidence rate of skin cancer are increasing day by day. Skin cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer but detected earlier can save the life time of the human being. An automated screening system is introduced to identify the presence of skin cancer in advance. In this paper, texture distinctiveness lesion segmentation algorithm is used. Experience and training based characteristics of back propagation neural network is used with texture distinctiveness lesion segmentation algorithm, for identifying the normal and abnormal portions of skin. The most commonly occurring skin cancers are Melanoma, Basal and squamous cell carcinomaand actinic keratosis. The proposed system is to diagnose the presence of these skin cancers with high segmentation accuracy. Keywords: Melanoma, segmentation, skin cancer, texture, neural network. 1.INTRODUCTION Cancer is a life threatening disease caused primarily by genetic instability and accumulation of multiple molecular alternations [1] [2].Present diagnostic and prognostic classifications are insufficient to make prediction for successful treatment and patient outcome [3] [4].Among many types of cancer, Skin cancers are the most common form of cancers in human [5]. The common types of skin cancers are melanoma, basal and squamous cell carcinoma, and Actinic Keratosis [6].Digital Dermoscopy is widely considered as one of the most cost effective method to identify and classify skin cancer. • 22. The Behavior and Study of Particles Essay Particles are a very important part of this world. From the particles that make up all the humans in the world to the particles that make up the clothes we wear. Particles define the world we live in and everything we know about it. From the behavior of particles, scientists can determine many things about the world and the way it works. The simple definition of a particle is that it is a minute portion of matter. While not incorrect this answer lacks complexity. As was previously stated, particles make up everything; but, they also make up even the most basic form of matter the atom. Protons, neutrons, and electrons are all particles that make up an atom. Protons and neutrons themselves are made of individual particles called quarks. A... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mesons, made of quark pairs, are usually found in cosmic rays. Quarks combine to form charges of 1, 0, or +1. Quarks in Baryons and Mesons are bound together by strong forces formed from the exchange of gluons. Much like how the electromagnetic force strength is determined by the amount of electric charge, the strong force strength is determined by a new quantity called color charge. (abyss.uoregon.edu) Quarks come in three colors, red, blue, and green. Although the implication is that quarks are colored, these terms are not meant to indicate a particular hue but instead describe the color of the charge of the quark. So, unlike electromagnetic charges which come in two types (positive and negative or north and south), color charge in quarks comes in three types. Color charge also has its anti particle nature. So there is anti red, anti blue and anti green. Gluons serve to act as the carrier of the color when they interact with quarks. Baryons and mesons must have a mix of colors such that the result is white. For example, red, blue, and green make white. Also red and anti red make white. (abyss.uoregon.edu) There can exist no free quarks; meaning no quarks can exist on their own. All quarks must be bound to another quark or antiquark by the exchange of gluons. This is called quark confinement. The exchange of gluons produces a color force field, referring to the assignment of color charge to quarks, similar to electric charge. The

How Tinnitus Is Defined As A Symptom A Perception Of Sound Tinnitus is defined as a symptom a perception of sound which is not relative to any external stimulus where an individual perceives ringing, bussing and other sounds in varying durations of episodes which can be continuous, intermittent or pulsatile in a range of frequency and intensities which are often unable to be masked by external sounds. Tinnitusaffects approximately 5 15% of the western adult population with 1 2% of the population to a debilitating degree (Schlee et al,. 2011). Tinnitus can be separated into two categories, subjective tinnitus shows no objective sound and is only heard by the patient, Objective tinnitus is the less common type which can often be heard by an observer by stethoscope as it is caused by conductions such as turbulence and pulsation of muscle spasms in body tissues such as middle ear, Eustachian tube or soft palate. The phylogeny started off with Proconsul heseloni as the common ancestor to Sivapithecus indicus, Australopithecus afarensis, and Australopithecus Africanus. The reasoning for this was from the approximated age of Proconsul heseloni of 23 million years ago. This places Sivapithecus indicus roughly 15 million years after, suggesting that Sivapithecus indicus directly evolved from Proconsul heseloni. From Proconsul heseloni, it was decided that three species evolved from it. These species included A. A. afarensis, A. africanus and Sivapithecus indicus. Sivapithecus indicus was branched off the early human evolutionary line as the characteristics from the dentation and skull characteristics differed from that of A. afarensis and A. africanus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This difference can be used to infer that they lived in different areas of the world as it can be assumed that the diets of the two were unalike, explaining the dissimilarity of the canine size. As it is inferred that the two species lived in different regions of the world, it can be assumed that they co existed at the same time period. Homo habilis followed A. africanus indicating that A. africanus was a direct ancestor of H. habilis. The reasoning for this included the brain weight and body weight of the H. habilis slightly increased from that of A. africanus. As there was a general increase the overall brain to body weight ratio, indicating that there was an increase in the overall body weight of the two. Homo erectus was branched off after H. habilis as the justification for this was from the muzzle angles of the different species. As H. erectus had a muzzle angle of 107В° it was decided that it was reasonable to assume that H. erectus evolved from H. habilis. However, in the overall positioning of the phylogeny, it was placed on a side branch off H. habilis. This reasoning for this was that if H. erectus was placed on the main evolutionary line to evolve from H. ergaster, the muzzle angles from H. ergaster, H. erectus, and Homo neaderthalensis would increase then decrease. It would not be logical to place H. erectus on the main evolutionary line. Further justification that H. erectus was not a direct ancestor

The next thing you ll no doubt notice is the incredible smell that wafts through the room and eventually the entire house, slowly pulling you in as it teases your nose. His recipe included the use of a grill, a half pint glass of popcorn and a frying pan that had been rubbed with lard or butter. He advised holding the pan over the fire whilst constantly stirring or shaking the corn and within a few minutes, the popcorn should have turned inside out to reveal the delicious white, fluffy centre. He also mentioned the addition of salt or sugar whilst it was still hot for added flavour. The issue with this particular method however seemed to be with the lard or butter. The butter would usually begin to burn before the pan reached a hot enough temperature and the lard would create popcorn that was covered in slime like grease. It wasn t until the latter portion of the 19th century that a more efficient way of popping popcorn was discovered. What were deemed to be poppers were actually boxes made of tight wire gauze and had long handles attached. They were designed to be held over an open flame. The design of poppers offered a number of benefits including the containment of popped kernels whilst also keeping any hands away from the heat source. Over the years, the popper became hugely popular and as a result a number of improvements were made to make it bigger and better than ever. Due to the improvements, popcorn became even more accessible to the masses of people wanting to get their hands on

Inductive reasoning is a probabilistic reasoning in which the main claim concerns the improbability of the conclusion being false given the premises being true. Premises of an inductive argument do not entail the conclusion. In deciding whether or not an argument in inductive it is important to pay attention to the occurrence of special indicators words, the actual strength of the inferential link between the premises and conclusion, and the style of argumentations. However, in case of a conflict between the indicators and form and the inferential links, indicators have the least priority in deciding the kind of underlying reasoning, simply because, the language of many arguments is incomplete. I haven t read many books about philosophy and never invested much time and effort in learning and evaluating the subtle arguments out there. I m taking baby steps in practicing philosophy and anything I write here is for the purpose of delivering this assignment and challenging myself to formulate some ideas that can easily be wrong. With that in mind, this is what I think about Hume s Problem of Induction: a) Healthy skepticism. This is the keyword in Hume s argument. What I take from his line of reasoning is that we should always save a place in our mind for doubting our conclusions and being open to other ideas. Knowing that our past experiences aren t a box in which we can contain the universe and expect it to behave within our self appointed candidates of frameworks can lead to some real nasty dogmatic beliefs. b) Credibility vs. absolute truths. Theories gain credibility as the body of data grows and fits within the theory, all attempts to falsify it fail, and they lead us to a better understanding of the surroundings which in due time become a part of our knowledge about the word. Theories aren t our way of claiming to know the absolute truth about a subject or unchanging declarations written in stone. Induction and deduction, testing and predictions are tools we use to form the best possible model of reality that matches that of the real

When you pick up your smartphone do you ever really think that it may be hurting the humanrace? Once your child sees you doing this action every hour of every day they will want to also do what you are doing. Children have been getting phones with more power than ever before, but are they using it correctly? Who has been there to teach them what to do on the phone other than their friends? The school systems are doing things such as limiting your child s use of electronic devices during classes to increase learning, but is this really working? This smartphone that you have supplied your child with could cause them to start wearing clothes like the other children are wearing. • 48. Anthropology And The Study Of Culture 1.Anthropology and the Study of Culture a.The field of anthropology that I find to be most interesting is anthropological linguistics. Personally, I believe this subdivision is so interesting because it is so diverse and covers so much ground on how our language and others have evolved over time. Ranging from early cave writings, to sign language, to the language and slang we all know and use today, language among not only our cultures but also others have vastly changed and there is proof of this that dates back to ancient times. The mere complexity of our current language is beyond what past civilizations could have even imagined it would come to be. What I find to be very interesting is the fact that even today our upbringing, social class, or cultural norms, can define how we speak. For instance, there are certain slangs or terms that someone may say because they were brought up around people who spoke using that kind of language. While this is true for some, but not all, children of an upper class parents may grow up speaking very formally, and be taught to not use any slang or vulgar words. They continue using this vocabulary further on in life because it is what they were taught to do. This can also be applied to any other social class, or even differ between people from different geographic locations. Linguistics is often learned and adopted from generation to generation and from civilization to civilization. b.A person who studies anthropological linguistics
