Bob Marley Influence On Society
Despite many obstacles, one of them being a despised Rastaman, which was not socially acceptable at
the time, he became a figure of immeasurable influence and inspiration to millions of young blacks
and ghetto sufferahs. Though there were many other notable Reggae artist at the time, such as Jacob
Miller and Inner Circle (who is famous for the crossover hit Bad Boys which became the theme song
for the Cops television program.) The lead singer Jacob Miller was a close friend of Marley and was
just as popular among the natives of Jamaica but was killed in a car crash. He and the Inner Circle
band had been preparing to go on a United States tour with Bob Marley and the Wailers. Amid all the
talent that was beginning to rise as Marley s prophetic musical messages gained momentum, Bob
Marley stood out as one of the most powerful and conscientious proponents of the Rastafarian religion
which had become synonymous with reggae music. Marley once survived a shooting injury that
occurred during a political assassination attempt, but died years later of cancer in 1981. ... Show more

The Effects of Feudalism Essay
In Medieval times during the 10th and 13th centuries, a form of political and social organization called
feudalism was a way of life that had great effect on people of the time and on the modern world.
Feudalism was developed because of the weakness of Europe and it s kings. The word feudalism
comes from the word fief, which was the land held on condition of feudal service, similar to an estate
(English). The fiefs bound together lords and vassals. Feudalism was a structure in which a lord
divided his land into smaller parts to give to lesser lords ( Feudalism ). A noble, or lord, was in control
of his manor. The manor was the heart of feudal economy (Ellis and Esler 222). A manor often
consisted of the castle, a church, a village, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Life as a serf or peasant was not easy. Serfs were bound to their lord s land and required to do services
for him. Although they could not be sold like slaves, they had no freedom (Ellis and Esler 219 244).
Peasants farmed for the goods that the lord and his manor needed. They went through difficult
hardship because of this. Peasants were heavily taxed and had to provide for themselves the goods that
they needed ( The Middle Ages ). According to the medieval law, the peasants were not considered to
belong to themselves ( The Middle Ages ). Although serfs were peasants and had relatively the same
duties and similar rights, what differentiated a peasant from a serf was that a peasant was not bound to
the land ( The Middle Ages ). Peasants had no schooling and no knowledge of the outside world (Ellis
and Esler 219 244). They rarely traveled more than a couple miles outside of their villages. All
members of a peasant family, including children, tended crops, farmed, and did some sort of work to
help out (Ellis and Esler 224). Very few peasants lived past the age of 35 because of hunger in the
winter and the easy development and transmission of disease (Ellis and Esler 224). Women in this
time lived a hard life as well. Regardless of their status in society, they were tied to household tasks (
The Middle Ages ). This including duties such as cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children,
sewing, and baking. Along with these jobs, women also

The Core Beliefs Of The Abrahamic And Messianic Faith Of...
Core beliefs are the key foundations to all dynamic religious traditions of the world. In particular, core
beliefs underpin the Abrahamic and Messianic faith of Judaism, as they offer Jewish adherents a
unique interpretation of reality. Thus, these core beliefs must be viewed through a sympathetic cultural
and historical lens. Leunig once said: Does G d exist? More to the point: what does it matter if G d
exists or not? After all everything else seems to exist, so what s the problem? raising issues concerning
G d s existence and its importance to humankind. A Jewish adherent would respond to this stimulus in
light of the particular culture lens of their variant. This is established through the varying aspects of
Jewish beliefs: the nature of G d, how one gains meaning and the view of human condition, how one
ought to live through Jewish morality, along with beliefs concerning suffering, death and the after life.
Firstly and fore mostly, Jewish adherents hold certain beliefs that address the nature of G d and this
would have an influence on how one might respond to the stimulus. In the twelfth century, Jewish
scholar Moses Maimonides summarised all 613 mitzvot, the positive and negative commandments
outlined in the Torah (Morrissey, 2010, p.125). Referred to as the Thirteen Articles of Faith, this
written composition highlights the basics of the Jewish belief system. This is demonstrated as articles

Lev Vygotsky s Contribution To Socialcultural Theory
Children can learn in many different ways. When a leaner constructs their own understanding of
knowledge through shared experiences it is called constructivism. This is a learning approach that is
practiced by many teachers today and has proven to be a successful method for teaching and learning
(Powell Kalina, 2009). There are two main types of constructivism. This paper will discuss the
cognitive and social categories as well as Lev Vygotsky s main contribution to socialcultural theory.
Cognitive and Social Constructivism
Both cognitive and social constructivism is based on students creating personal meaning when new
information is presented to them (Powell Kalina, 2009). This meaning is what allows a learner to gain
knowledge. This can either be obtained in a cognitive manner or by social interaction. Powell Kalina
(2009) say it is very important that a teacher understand how these learning approaches work in order
for them to benefit the learner. Adding that both theories must be implemented in a way that students
can connect with them (Powell Kalina, 2009).
Cognitive constructivism is ideas that are constructed on an individual level through personal process
(Powell Kalina, 2009). This relates to how a learner constructs and builds their knowledge. According
to developmental psychologist Jean Piaget sensorimotor stage, children begin to discover their
environment around them through their own senses and physical activity and then language

Comparing Marx s Views On Socioeconomic Status And The...
This paper is going to discuss the differences in classic theorist s views on socioeconomic status and
the level of education a person receives. To begin, let s say that the people who receive a higher level
of education tend to be higher in socioeconomic status and, therefore, the people who do not receive a
much education tend to be lower in status. Structural functionalist would say that the different levels
of education are to keep society balanced. People with less education tend to have mediocre or blue
collar jobs, while people with a higher education have more noteworthy jobs. As a society, we need
both types of people in order for society to fully function. If everyone was blessed with the
opportunity to get the highest levels of education, it would offset the equilibrium because no one
would want to do the simple yet necessary jobs. If no one did those, we would not have restaurants or
clean public restrooms. The roads would be terrible because there would be no construction workers to
maintain them. Currently, the people with a higher education depend on the less educated in order to
have the standard of living that they have now. The less educated people currently depend on the
higher educated people to require their services, whether it be serving them ... Show more content on

Marx would have said that because of the differing levels of education, the lower level workers would
feel pressured by the upper class to work the pedestrian jobs. However, Marx would have agreed that
the more highly educated relied on the less educated and vice versa. Marx believed that over time, the
less educated would become dissatisfied with feeling inferior and would come together to help
balance the system by taking on roles that were typically reserved for the more highly

The Roman Catholic Church During The Medieval Era
During the Medieval period the Roman Catholic Church was one of the most vital institutions in
people s everyday life and held influence over the affairs of everyone from peasants to monarchs. The
Church played a central role in society with Bishops and Archbishops playing a major role in
governments and the belief among citizens that the only way they could attain salvation was through
the Roman Catholic Church. The Church s religious ideals permeated society influencing the calendar,
daily activities, monumental occasions in people s life, and the teachings of the Church underpinned
mainstream ethics and beliefs of people. The Church operated under a highly developed and

Frankenstein In Vitro Morality
Mary Shelley s science fiction novel Frankenstein follows the anecdote of an aspiring scientist as he
undertakes an ambition to create an animal from severed body parts. Although Victor Frankenstein
succeeds the procedure, his creation seeks to torment him and humanity as a whole. By growing
artificial life in a laboratory, Frankenstein bypassed the natural course of creation, analogous to the
modern technology of in vitro meat production, where animal cells are synthetically developed under
controlled conditions.
Victor Frankenstein envisions his creature as the epitome of human wisdom and ability, overlooking
the possible moral consequences, comparable to the optimistic conception of in vitro meat production.

forgo meat products or continue the routine use of slaughtered of animal flesh as a source of

the best way to end animal suffering, but also be realistic about meat eating habits (Barak). Not only
so, Impossible Foods claims to use 95% less land, 74% less water, and create 87% less greenhouse gas
emissions, comparing to farm animals, with just three calories of energy input for one calorie of

Every company has a mission and every team should have a goal to meet that mission. Ideas for
creating a common goal are: create and/or review the team s mission, discuss why they exist in the
first place, allow each team member to express their commitment, create a theme (i.e., poster, symbol,
motto) that portrays the team as a unit, and use the common purpose to prioritize the teams actions (
Building a Collaborative Team Environment ). Jane needs to emphasize the advantages of teamwork
in the workplace. Advantages such as increasing the likelihood of success, each team member brings

of security, as allowing each person a hand in the cookie jar, avoiding personal responsibility for a
mistake. Teams motivate each other to work together in achieving their common goal, success.
Another advantage is it helps divide the work that needs to be done, not one person can or should do
all the work for the project, and it should be broken down into sub tasks to the most qualified person.
Working as a team also allows each member to learn from one another, we can never learn enough,

Compare And Contrast Jamestown And Plymouth Colonies
Another component comparing Jamestown and Plymouth colonies would be their aspects on Indian
relations. The English colonists arrived in Chesapeake Bay where the Powhatan Indians had been
calling home for quite some time. There were over thirty Indian tribes totaling 14,000 Indians. This is
where the first colony, Jamestown, was settled in 1607. I believe this created a lot of tension between
the Indians and the new settlers considering the previous settling and attacks of the Spanish on the
Indians. The Indians lived such a generous way of life welcoming the new English settlers by offering
them food. However, the good intentions faded quickly after. The leader of the Powhatan Indians,
Powhatan, was intending to entice the English through generosity and their selfless attitudes. Sure
enough, this act of kindness was overlooked by the English colonists, and they immediately began
searching for wealth such as tobacco. As we have spoken about in class, Jamestown was a colony that
significantly valued material objects and wealth; whereas Plymouth colony did not focus their rule
around that idea. The new colonists were so set on acquiring wealth that they failed to grow crops
such as corn and beans. This led the English to depend more on the Indians for food since the Indians
were very successful farmers and knew how to live off the land. John Smith s leadership swooped in
and saved the colony of Jamestown. He conducted means of exploring the land and gathering

Alzheimer s A Type Of Dementia
Introduction:
Alzheimer s is a type of dementia that causes complications with memory, thinking, and behavior.
Long before any signs of memory loss, there a microscopic changes occurring in the brain, altering its
functionality (Alzheimer s Association Organization, 2016). The brain has billions of nerve cells that
work together, and when one portion of the brains neurons are malfunctioning it leads to breakdowns
in other parts of the brain. The two most noted abnormal structures that are suspected to damage and
kill neurons in the brain in patients with Alzheimer s are plaques and tangles. Plaques are deposits of a
proteins fragment called beta amyloid that build up in the spaces between nerve cells; and tangles are
twisted fibers of another protein called tau that build up inside cells (Alzheimer s Association
Organization, 2016).
There are many different types of dementia, but Alzheimer s is the most common, accounting for 60
80% of dementia cases in America (Alzheimer s Association Organization, 2016). There are three
types of Alzheimer s, Early onset Alzheimer s, when people younger than 65 years old are diagnosed
with the disease, typically around their 40 s or 50 s and is very rare, less than 10% of all people with
Alzheimer s have early onset; Late onset Alzheimer s which is what most people are familiar with, and
is when someone is diagnosed with the disease after the age of 65; and lastly, Familial Alzheimer s
disease which is a form that doctors know for

Bracero Program History
Mexican nationals have migrated across the border for short term agricultural work since the 19th
century. With a shortage of jobs, Mexican workers seek the promise of what the neighboring labor
market of the United States has to offer. At the same time, the U.S. economy is in need workers to
grow the economy and the history of U.S. relations with Mexico began as self sustaining system of
circular migration.
On August 4, 1942 the United States recocnized a need for a temporary intergovernmental agreement
to set the standards for Mexican agricultural labor (officially referred to as the Mexican Farm Labor
Program). The program lasted much longer than anticipated and in 1951, Congress formalized the
Bracero Program with Public Law 78. From 1942 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The subject then became controversial when more Mexican nationals, desperate for work, were
willing to take on these backbreaking jobs at wages most Americans weren t willing to work for.
American farm workers had reason to be concerned that the braceros would be competing with them
for the same jobs but at lower wages. The original concept of the Bracero Program was to serve and
protect both Mexican and domestic workers. For example, Americans would receive at least the
minimum wage in the area of the current work; guaranteed employment for three fourths of the
contract period; adequate, sanitary, and free housing; food provided at a low cost; job insurance would
be at employer s expense; and free transportation back to Mexico was provided when the seasonal
contract was up (Bracero History Archive, 2017) . The agriculture employers were also only supposed
to hire braceros when there was high labor shortage, and were not to abuse the system. However,
employers ignored many of these regulations and Mexican workers were used as strikebreakers while
native workers were put out of a job. The only party who benefited from this injustice were the
growers because they got cheap labor. This imbalance went unchecked and as a result farm wages
dropped suddenly from the 1940s to the1950s, farm wages dropped sharply as a percentage of
manufacturing wages, a result in part of the use of braceros and undocumented laborers who lacked
full rights in American

Analysis Of George Berkeley s Dialogues
Christopher Podlaski In George Berkeley s Dialogues, he presents and subsequently dismantles
several of his predecessors ideas through the use of two characters, Hylas and Philonous. His main
goal in this project is to refute the flawed concept of reality that something unperceived and
unperceiving could exist (Atherton). However, in attempting to argue for this, particularly when
arguing against John Locke s distinction between primary and secondary qualities, he sets his
opposition up as a dummy argument and therefore commits a logical fallacy. Berkeley does not
understand Locke s view and therefore incorrectly bases it on the ordinary experience of large objects
that are perceivable to the naked eye. In his attempt to show that the perception of primary qualities
are also subject to relativity like secondary qualities, Berkeley misinterprets Locke s arguments to
have a different foundation than they do. He is therefore inaccurate in his method of refuting Locke s
distinction (Atherton). One might claim that disproving Locke s primary secondary quality distinction
is not necessary to Berkeley s goal, which is refuting previous philosophies of reality. However, he
spends a considerable amount of time on the concern that Locke s primary qualities are also subject to
the relativity of experience and the inconsistencies of perception, as secondary qualities are. This, in
its self, refutes such a claim. In Locke s work, he submits that the physical world is made up of

NO Spiritual Reward for Depriving the Physical Body
There is NO Spiritual Reward for Depriving the Physical Body of Comfort or Pleasure
I. Doctrine
There is a great falsehood that is perpetuated by the modern church, and it is one that threatens the
very mission assigned to every believer in Matthew 28:18 20. Before one can address this falsehood,
one must understand the duty of God s people in this life. It is the believer s task to go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them as God ordained, and teaching them how to obey the teachings
of Jesus. What then are the teachings of Jesus? As believers, we hold as doctrine that God the Father,
along with the Holy Spirit and the Son created all that is. He gave Man, God s special creation made
in His own image, dominion over the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This heresy is the idea that there is a spiritual reward for depriving the physical body of comfort or
pleasure. The Catholics who endured the outbreaks of bubonic plague in the Middle Ages sometimes
resorted to self flagellation, a practice of whipping or beating one s self in order to gain favor with
God (and presumably avoid plague). Catholics have long practiced similar traditions, with some
devout Catholics praying on particularly uncomfortable prayer mats or refusing red meat on certain
days. Some Catholic clergy go so far as to wear burlap undergarments, so as to suffer with Christ and
perhaps gain favor with God. This heretical doctrine declares the atonement by Christ to be an
incomplete one, and contradicts His final words, the confirmation that It is finished (John 19:30b).
The particular incarnation of this heresy that pervades even the evangelical churches of today comes
to light in those churches condemnation of various things, including drugs and alcohol. Now, as
described above, all things created by God in the beginning were good. The use of the earth s
resources was given to Man, and with it responsibility. The scriptures indicate that alcohol can be a
deceiver. Immoderate use of alcohol leads to drunkenness, which the scriptures indeed condemn
(Galatians 5:19 21). However, alcohol was never forbidden to the Hebrews, and Jesus himself made it
at the wedding in Cana (John 2). It seems clear that the alcohol itself is not what the scriptures

Keirsey Temperament Test Analysis
Filling out bubbles, circling answers, rating descriptions; taking tests is one of the various ways to

most correct personality tests crafted. After taking three various personality tests in my English class,
the True Colors, the Keirsey, and the Tibetan test, I surmised that the Keirsey Temperament Test was
the most exact regarding my character and attributes. It was especially valid in extrapolating that I am
very dependable, thorough, and serious. Some may claim that science cannot tell you who you are,
because it is our emotions that rein us. Overall, though the other tests were somewhat precise; this one
most reflected my personality.
Firstly, this test was correct because it stated that I persevere and am a dependable person. Last year,

This was incorrect for I value my career highly and do not value pride above other things. Another test

Change, in general, indicates any act of making something different. The factors that necessitate
change in organizations are broadly categorized into people, technology, information processing and

conscious efforts of the people. These are called unplanned changes. On the other hand, some changes
are initiated by the management to accomplish certain goals and objectives. These are called planned

The Problem Of Ineffective Leadership
CAUSES OF THE PROBLEM Ineffective Leadership: Leaders who participate in dishonest practices
regularly make an environment of recompense inside of the association that is helpful for deviant
worker conduct that parallels that of the pioneer (Trevino and Brown, 2005). Employees will watch
the moral judgment of their CEO or overseeing chief and are frequently liable to mirror, regardless of
the possibility that such impersonation constitutes acting unscrupulously. Generally, regardless of
whether a pioneer is compensated for his or her conduct will likewise help focus the probability of
representative impersonation. A few powers make despicable comments, verbally ill use, exclude, and
put down their subordinates. Exploration and media reports recommend that turning into a casualty of
leaders coldhearted treatment is a negative ordeal for workers, impeding to their prosperity and the
proficiency of the association. Abuse by leaders has been alluded to in a few ways, including
interpersonal shamefulness, oppressive supervision social undermining, oppression, and tormenting
(Hoel Cooper, 2001). Albeit every conceptualization has unpretentious contrasts, they all include
workers observations that some of their principal mental needs are hindered by a power figure.
Abused workers react contrarily to pioneer abuse and are more prone to take part in freak conduct,
damaging standards of thoughtful behavior and of productive creation (Bennett Robinson, 2000).

Why A Parrot Owner Or Just Preparing For Bring One Home
Whether you are an experienced parrot owner or just preparing to bring one home, there are many
important factors that must be considered. Owning a parrot is an incredible commitment. It requires 24
hour responsibility and an awareness of factors that most people never give a second thought to. Some
of these factors can mean life or death to a parrot. We still do not know very much about how our day
to day living affects our feathered companions, so it s important to remain up to date and continue
your research every day. Parrots have a very sensitive respiratory system. They have a set of lungs as
well as air sacs that are distributed throughout the body. This makes their breathing extremely efficient
and incredibly sensitive to chemicals and fumes. Scented candles, plug in home deodorizers, hair
products and perfumes, cigarettes, etc. can cause great harm and even death when used in the same
room as a parrot. If it smells strongly to you, it could be harming your parrot. On the other side of that,
there are many products that we cannot smell that can be just as harmful. PTFE/non stick coated
cookware, space heaters, self cleaning ovens, etc. have the potential to off gas and release very
harmful fumes that can kill parrots in a matter of seconds. Many products are being manufactured with
non stick parts that are not listed in their manuals/warning paperwork. This is where doing your
research is imperative. If you own your house, there are other dangers to consider. Pest

Causes Of Post-Polio Syndrome
Post Polio syndrome is a musculoskeletal problem which occurs after an individual has had polio
(LaRocco, 2011). There are about 440, 00 people that survived polio (LaRocco, 2011). It is estimated
that between 15% and 80% of people with polio will have post polio syndrome. Post polio syndrome
generally occurs 15 years after the polio virus has subsided (LaRocco, 2011). The symptoms are
muscle weakness, atrophy, pain, fatigue, and cold sensitivity. Fatigue can impair cognition as well as
other symptoms (Grafman et al., 1995). The symptoms can come on slowly or quickly. Medications
haven t been proven to work well in treating the muscle symptoms, but rehabilitation may help
(LaRocco, 2011). Pain and the psychiatric problems are important to control. Medication such as
aspirin, hot pads and cold pads can help alleviate pain. Post Polio syndrome is not usually life
threatening (LaRocco, 2011). The brain structures affected in post polio syndrome are those involved
in motor learning and control (Grafman et al., 1995). These include structures such as the cerebellum,
cerebral cortex, basal ganglia, and globus pallidus. There can also be gray matter lesions in the
reticular formation or white matter scarring of the corticospinal tract (Grafman et al., 1995). An MRI
is important to examine the brain structures ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means the individual has frequent muscular contractions during sleep (Araujo et al., 2010). This
can cause insomnia or tiredness during the day. Individuals with post polio syndrome are generally
pretty tough, and it takes a lot for them to accept modifications for activities. Exercise is important for
those with post polio syndrome (Halbritter, 2001). It can be difficult for individuals with post polio
syndrome to participate in work or school, due to the pain and fatigue (Halbritter, 2001). Driving may
have to be adjusted, depending on the affected area (Halbritter,

Pros And Cons Of Same Sex Marriage In Australia
There are many articles written about the debate of same sex marriage with many varying opinions on
whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Everyone has their own opinion about same sex marriage.
But they don t seem to understand how many people it will effect in Australia if it s a majority No
vote. An article called Census: Same Sex Couples Still A Statistically Small Percent Of Australians .
The article states that 40% 50% of the population is gay. Which means of a population of nearly 24.5
million people roughly half is gay. So why not allow gay marriage to happen here in Australia? There
is already so many countries that have already allowed it to happen in their country in the last 20
years.
There are many examples of LGBTIQ in books, movies, TV shows and with Celebrities. But guess
what they are accepted by their fans, and their peers without a second thought. Some examples are; in
The mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare she wrote not one but two characters who are apart
of the LGBTIQ community and both characters aren t in the background but are two of the many main
characters in the series. These characters are Magnus Bane who holds a very important position
through the series being the high warlock of Brooklyn and all, and Alec Lightwood, who is very
important to the series being amazing with a bow and arrow and being a Shadowhunter. All of the fans

The Merger of Allianz Group and Dresdner Bank
1. Introduction In our days mergers and acquisitions are a predominant feature of the international
business system as companies attempt to exploit new market opportunities and to strengthen their
market positions. Each year sets a new record for the total value of mergers and acquisitions and
nearly every day new announcements are made in the business newspapers. In the literature one finds
a large number of explanations for the occurrence of mergers and acquisitions. Sometimes, these
explana tions are also applicable to related forms of interindustrial links such as joint ventures or
strategic alliances. Therefore it is necessary to define the term merger and acquisition as it will be used
throughout this seminar paper.

Conglomerate and vertical mergers help to strengthen the market power by discouraging potential
entrants. The monopoly theory played a dominant role in the past, especially in the first great merger
wave in the U.S. between 1887 and 1904. Today most of the horizontal mergers are too small to confer
monopoly power, because larger acqui sitions fall under intense antitrust scrutiny. In the industrial
strategy and organization literature mergers are often explained in terms of synergies and/or
efficiencies. The efficiency theory is based on the assumption that the combined firms are more
profitable than the companies operating separately because of the operational, managerial and
financial synergies. Operational synergies include economies of scale, economies of scope and
economies of experience. The valuation or information theory explains a merger from a financial
instead of a strategic perspective and assumes that the current market price of a company does not
reflect the true value. The company which buys an undervalued firm believes it can manage the target
company better than the current management. Corporate buying and selling activities are traced back
to the conditions of financial markets. Presently globalization is the key feature of the new
competitive landscape within which mergers are taking place. However, it is impor tant to keep in
mind that globalization is a trend and not an already exis ting condition. Globalization is not spreading

The Nuclear Of Nuclear Power Essay
Nuclear power has the potential to create vast amounts of energy from a comparatively miniscule fuel
source. According to the Nuclear Energy Institute, ...as of November 2016, 30 countries worldwide are
operating 450 nuclear reactors for electricity generation and 60 new nuclear plants are under
construction (Nuclear Energy Institute, 2016). Not only has nuclear power seen use across the world,
but it has seen applications in the United States and right here in Florida. Currently, there are two
facilities operated by Florida Power and Light (FPL) in the Sunshine State that produce over 3,000
megawatts of energy homes, public buildings, and businesses alike (Florida Power and Light, 2016a).
However, these plants are hundreds of miles away from Volusia County (located near the major
metropolitan areas of Port St. Lucie and Miami) and their benefits cannot be reaped by citizens in the
county due to this distance. With successful nuclear plants already in operation within the state, why
should Volusia County not try to acknowledge the possibility of such a project?
Fossil fuels, as is widely known, are exhaustible resources that cannot possibly sustain humankind s
energy needs ad infinitum. Nuclear energy provides a way to wean our population off natural gases,
not necessarily overnight, but over the course of years or decades. Volusia does have the space, and
the St. John s River provides an excellent water source to take advantage of for cooling the towers
necessary to sustain

Intracellular Fluid Essay
Intracellular fluid (ICF) is liquid found inside the cell (separated into compartments by membranes)
and extracellular fluid (ECF) is all of the body fluid outside of the cell. ECF contains interstitial fluid
(found in the lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, glomerular filtrate of the kidneys) and plasma (found in the
circulatory system). Sodium accounts for 90% of the ECF cations (positively charged ions) and
regulates osmotic forces, therefore, regulates water balance (McCance Huether, 2014, p. 108).
Regulation of sodium balance is facilitated by aldosterone, which is triggered by the renin angiotensin
mechanism. Potassium is the major intracellular electrolyte found in most body fluids and is

How would you determine whether she has cystitis or pyelonephritis?
a. Differentiate between cystitis and pyelonephritis. Consider history, possible presenting symptoms,
and urinalysis results.
Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder (lower urinary tract) and is the most common site of UTI
(McCance Huether, 2014, p. 1350). E. coli is the most common pathogen of UTI s and occurs more
common in women due to the shorter urethra and the proximity of the urethra to the vagina and anus.
The patient can be asymptomatic or experience urinary frequency, urgency, and discomfort. The
presence of white cells in the urinalysis is indicative of infection and the urine culture can identify the
bacteria.
Pyelonephritis is a type of urinary tract infection that affects one or both kidneys (upper urinary tract)
( Pyelonephritis, 2012, p. 1). Bacteria (commonly caused by E. coli.) enters from the lower urinary
tract and can lead to renal scarring. Symptoms of pyelonephritis may include a fever with pain in the
lower back or abdominal area. Hematuria and vomiting can also occur. Diagnosis includes blood test
and urinalysis with culture, but may involve imaging studies to detect renal abnormalities or

Genetically Modified Organisms Essay
Many people today are often amazed by the amount of nutrition and health information required for
humans. The constant stream of genetic modification of food can be confusing. Genetically modified
(GM) foods are plants and animals that have had their genetic makeup artificially altered by scientists
to make them grow faster, taste better, last longer and to provide more nutrients. Scientists make these
alternations by transferring genes from one organism into another in order to change the condition or
character of the receiving organism. This process is known as biotechnology or genetic engineering
(GE), and it has revolutionized the way that agriculture is practiced in many parts of the world.
Researchers are now able to use GE ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Companies and researchers alternate the genetic structure of crops to withstand pesticides, non GM
weeds and insects can gradually develop a resistance to the chemicals. At this point farmers actually
have to increase their use of pesticides. These practice causes weed populations to adapt to the
herbicide and eventually become resistant to it. Once these superweeds emerge farmers must find a
new herbicides and more potent products.
People who support GM foods dismiss complaints that they might not be safe to eat. GM foods are
likely to be more nutritious and contain smaller amounts of pesticide residues that foods raised by
traditional farming methods. Food poisoning agents such as salmonella are natural and they kill
thousands of people each year. Lots of plants produce powerful toxins to deter pests. With the
technology of GM Crops including beans and cassava (a fruit grown in tropical countries) produce
cyanide that can be removed before cooking. This is extremely useful for consumers to eat and for
producers to make.
In the other hand GM critics worry that transgenic crops could harm wildlife and cause lasting damage
to fragile food chains. What will happen if GM farming practices wipe out weedy plants that some
bird s species rely on for survival? Or if insects that are important

Comment: I read this book and finished it in 3 weeks, short and fast for someone like me who doesn t
like to read. But I found this book very interesting; I usually read mystery books with crimes and
investigation because I like searching into the unknown. I found this book very interesting because it
was a crime and investigation novel, not only that. It opened up more Chinese knowledge for me. I
learnt a bit more about Chinese traditions and their beliefs and through this book I could say that it
was funny and suspending at the same time. I loved the plot as well; especially the part where in the
end we find out that the survivor who got shot in the chest was actually the whole mastermind behind
the crime was not foreseeable. It came totally out of the blue for me, it wasn t one of those read the
beginning of the book and then you could guess the rest of the story type, it kept me guessing the
whole way through the story. So I really enjoyed this book. But the worst part about it was the ending,
where the United States government allowed this to happen secretly in its waters so that it could have
a better relationship with China is just absurd, they need a better

Relationship Between Body Mass Index And Gender
The first Chi Square analysis I ran is to determine a relationship between Body Mass Index(BMI) and
Gender. The P Value is 0.202744 while the level of significance is 0.05. This led to non significance.
The second chi square analysis I ran is to determine a relationship between being on a sports team or
with BMI. The P Value is 0.574058 while the level of significance is 0.574. This means the data was
non significant. The third chi square analysis I ran is to determine if there is a relationship between
having friends who exercise and the college students feeling towards running. The Chi Square number
is 5.43 with a P value of 0.019. This led to significance between the two data points. I ran a regression
analysis to see if gender, being on a sports team, or the amount of time you exercise per week
influences GPA. The P Value for gender is 0.072, while the P Value for being on a sports team is
0.020. With a level of significance of 0.05 these two data points were significant. The amount of times
exercised per week P Value is 0.64, while I am looking for a level of significance of 0.05. This led the
results to be non significant for times exercised per week and GPA. In the introduction, I stated that I
expect those who exercise to have a lower GPA than those who don t. I felt this because I think if you
work out you will have less time to study or focus on school work. After running a regression analysis,
I found that there was no relationship between the two. The

Conformity In The Gathering
Whilst conformity can be perceived as order and fitting in, it also has plentiful consequences of
control and coercion which inhibits free thought and self expression. Ultimately, choosing to challenge
conformity can be a dangerous experience, however there is the possibility of greater freedom to
pursue one s life with individuality and purpose. The Gathering by Isobelle Carmody represents the
power of conformity through the characters and how they choose not to conform and Dead Poets
Society by Peter Weir shows the characters challenging conformity. Both texts show the consequences
of conformity and non conformity.

The boys are inspired to break free of their entrapment to enter a world of free thought and self
expression. Mr. Keating shows them that there is more to life than just rules, and that if they break
free, they will have a better life. gather ye rosebuds while ye may, old time is still a flying... And this
same flower that smiles today, tomorrow will be dying. He is explaining that making a choice that will
change tomorrow and not conforming to the strict rules will lead a better life. This depicts the boy s
desire to break free through his unorthodox teaching methods. There is a long shot where they chant,
travesty, horror, decadence, excrement . This shows that they feel slightly oppressed about the four
pillars, they also have a sense of cynicism in their tone of voice as they mock them. This represents
the gathering as it shows the characters going against the rules and not conforming. Mr. Keating
persuades Neil to become a free thinker and do things his own way. This is shown when Neil comes
running into the room yelling I found it! What I want to do right now, what s really, really inside of

Traits Of Raskolnikov
Raskolnikov is depicted as crushed by poverty, but the anxieties of his position had of late ceased to
weigh upon him (Dostoyevsky 3). During 1861, the Emancipation Reform had recently taken place.
After the defeat of Russia in the Crimean War, Russian officials declared to give rights to the serfs.
The serfs were treated poorly leading to protests and eventually leading to the Reform. The
Emancipation Reform put Russia backward socially and economically. The serfdom illustrated Russia
s weaknesses and Raskolnikov was a representation of an individual struggling with Russia s
difficulties. The economy was suffering and the need for money became crucial for regular basic
needs to survive. Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the author of the novel, considers ... Show more content on

  • 2. Bob Marley Influence On Society Despite many obstacles, one of them being a despised Rastaman, which was not socially acceptable at the time, he became a figure of immeasurable influence and inspiration to millions of young blacks and ghetto sufferahs. Though there were many other notable Reggae artist at the time, such as Jacob Miller and Inner Circle (who is famous for the crossover hit Bad Boys which became the theme song for the Cops television program.) The lead singer Jacob Miller was a close friend of Marley and was just as popular among the natives of Jamaica but was killed in a car crash. He and the Inner Circle band had been preparing to go on a United States tour with Bob Marley and the Wailers. Amid all the talent that was beginning to rise as Marley s prophetic musical messages gained momentum, Bob Marley stood out as one of the most powerful and conscientious proponents of the Rastafarian religion which had become synonymous with reggae music. Marley once survived a shooting injury that occurred during a political assassination attempt, but died years later of cancer in 1981. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. The Effects of Feudalism Essay In Medieval times during the 10th and 13th centuries, a form of political and social organization called feudalism was a way of life that had great effect on people of the time and on the modern world. Feudalism was developed because of the weakness of Europe and it s kings. The word feudalism comes from the word fief, which was the land held on condition of feudal service, similar to an estate (English). The fiefs bound together lords and vassals. Feudalism was a structure in which a lord divided his land into smaller parts to give to lesser lords ( Feudalism ). A noble, or lord, was in control of his manor. The manor was the heart of feudal economy (Ellis and Esler 222). A manor often consisted of the castle, a church, a village, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Life as a serf or peasant was not easy. Serfs were bound to their lord s land and required to do services for him. Although they could not be sold like slaves, they had no freedom (Ellis and Esler 219 244). Peasants farmed for the goods that the lord and his manor needed. They went through difficult hardship because of this. Peasants were heavily taxed and had to provide for themselves the goods that they needed ( The Middle Ages ). According to the medieval law, the peasants were not considered to belong to themselves ( The Middle Ages ). Although serfs were peasants and had relatively the same duties and similar rights, what differentiated a peasant from a serf was that a peasant was not bound to the land ( The Middle Ages ). Peasants had no schooling and no knowledge of the outside world (Ellis and Esler 219 244). They rarely traveled more than a couple miles outside of their villages. All members of a peasant family, including children, tended crops, farmed, and did some sort of work to help out (Ellis and Esler 224). Very few peasants lived past the age of 35 because of hunger in the winter and the easy development and transmission of disease (Ellis and Esler 224). Women in this time lived a hard life as well. Regardless of their status in society, they were tied to household tasks ( The Middle Ages ). This including duties such as cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children, sewing, and baking. • 4. The Core Beliefs Of The Abrahamic And Messianic Faith Of... Core beliefs are the key foundations to all dynamic religious traditions of the world. In particular, core beliefs underpin the Abrahamic and Messianic faith of Judaism, as they offer Jewish adherents a unique interpretation of reality. Thus, these core beliefs must be viewed through a sympathetic cultural and historical lens. Leunig once said: Does G d exist? More to the point: what does it matter if G d exists or not? After all everything else seems to exist, so what s the problem? raising issues concerning G d s existence and its importance to humankind. A Jewish adherent would respond to this stimulus in light of the particular culture lens of their variant. This is established through the varying aspects of Jewish beliefs: the nature of G d, how one gains meaning and the view of human condition, how one ought to live through Jewish morality, along with beliefs concerning suffering, death and the after life. Firstly and fore mostly, Jewish adherents hold certain beliefs that address the nature of G d and this would have an influence on how one might respond to the stimulus. In the twelfth century, Jewish scholar Moses Maimonides summarised all 613 mitzvot, the positive and negative commandments outlined in the Torah (Morrissey, 2010, p.125). Referred to as the Thirteen Articles of Faith, this written composition highlights the basics of the Jewish belief system. This is demonstrated as articles 1 4 emphasise G d to be of the following attributes: Creator, one, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Lev Vygotsky s Contribution To Socialcultural Theory Children can learn in many different ways. When a leaner constructs their own understanding of knowledge through shared experiences it is called constructivism. This is a learning approach that is practiced by many teachers today and has proven to be a successful method for teaching and learning (Powell Kalina, 2009). There are two main types of constructivism. This paper will discuss the cognitive and social categories as well as Lev Vygotsky s main contribution to socialcultural theory. Cognitive and Social Constructivism Both cognitive and social constructivism is based on students creating personal meaning when new information is presented to them (Powell Kalina, 2009). This meaning is what allows a learner to gain knowledge. This can either be obtained in a cognitive manner or by social interaction. Powell Kalina (2009) say it is very important that a teacher understand how these learning approaches work in order for them to benefit the learner. Adding that both theories must be implemented in a way that students can connect with them (Powell Kalina, 2009). Cognitive constructivism is ideas that are constructed on an individual level through personal process (Powell Kalina, 2009). This relates to how a learner constructs and builds their knowledge. According to developmental psychologist Jean Piaget sensorimotor stage, children begin to discover their environment around them through their own senses and physical activity and then language ... • 6. Comparing Marx s Views On Socioeconomic Status And The... This paper is going to discuss the differences in classic theorist s views on socioeconomic status and the level of education a person receives. To begin, let s say that the people who receive a higher level of education tend to be higher in socioeconomic status and, therefore, the people who do not receive a much education tend to be lower in status. Structural functionalist would say that the different levels of education are to keep society balanced. People with less education tend to have mediocre or blue collar jobs, while people with a higher education have more noteworthy jobs. As a society, we need both types of people in order for society to fully function. If everyone was blessed with the opportunity to get the highest levels of education, it would offset the equilibrium because no one would want to do the simple yet necessary jobs. If no one did those, we would not have restaurants or clean public restrooms. The roads would be terrible because there would be no construction workers to maintain them. Currently, the people with a higher education depend on the less educated in order to have the standard of living that they have now. The less educated people currently depend on the higher educated people to require their services, whether it be serving them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Frankenstein In Vitro Morality Mary Shelley s science fiction novel Frankenstein follows the anecdote of an aspiring scientist as he undertakes an ambition to create an animal from severed body parts. Although Victor Frankenstein succeeds the procedure, his creation seeks to torment him and humanity as a whole. By growing artificial life in a laboratory, Frankenstein bypassed the natural course of creation, analogous to the modern technology of in vitro meat production, where animal cells are synthetically developed under controlled conditions. • 10. Compare And Contrast Jamestown And Plymouth Colonies Another component comparing Jamestown and Plymouth colonies would be their aspects on Indian relations. The English colonists arrived in Chesapeake Bay where the Powhatan Indians had been calling home for quite some time. There were over thirty Indian tribes totaling 14,000 Indians. This is where the first colony, Jamestown, was settled in 1607. I believe this created a lot of tension between the Indians and the new settlers considering the previous settling and attacks of the Spanish on the Indians. The Indians lived such a generous way of life welcoming the new English settlers by offering them food. However, the good intentions faded quickly after. The leader of the Powhatan Indians, Powhatan, was intending to entice the English through generosity and their selfless attitudes. Sure enough, this act of kindness was overlooked by the English colonists, and they immediately began searching for wealth such as tobacco. As we have spoken about in class, Jamestown was a colony that significantly valued material objects and wealth; whereas Plymouth colony did not focus their rule around that idea. The new colonists were so set on acquiring wealth that they failed to grow crops such as corn and beans. This led the English to depend more on the Indians for food since the Indians were very successful farmers and knew how to live off the land. John Smith s leadership swooped in and saved the colony of Jamestown. He conducted means of exploring the land and gathering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Alzheimer s A Type Of Dementia Introduction: Alzheimer s is a type of dementia that causes complications with memory, thinking, and behavior. Long before any signs of memory loss, there a microscopic changes occurring in the brain, altering its functionality (Alzheimer s Association Organization, 2016). The brain has billions of nerve cells that work together, and when one portion of the brains neurons are malfunctioning it leads to breakdowns in other parts of the brain. The two most noted abnormal structures that are suspected to damage and kill neurons in the brain in patients with Alzheimer s are plaques and tangles. Plaques are deposits of a proteins fragment called beta amyloid that build up in the spaces between nerve cells; and tangles are twisted fibers of another protein called tau that build up inside cells (Alzheimer s Association Organization, 2016). There are many different types of dementia, but Alzheimer s is the most common, accounting for 60 80% of dementia cases in America (Alzheimer s Association Organization, 2016). There are three types of Alzheimer s, Early onset Alzheimer s, when people younger than 65 years old are diagnosed with the disease, typically around their 40 s or 50 s and is very rare, less than 10% of all people with Alzheimer s have early onset; Late onset Alzheimer s which is what most people are familiar with, and is when someone is diagnosed with the disease after the age of 65; and lastly, Familial Alzheimer s disease which is a form that doctors know for ... At the same time, the U.S. economy is in need workers to grow the economy and the history of U.S. relations with Mexico began as self sustaining system of circular migration. On August 4, 1942 the United States recocnized a need for a temporary intergovernmental agreement to set the standards for Mexican agricultural labor (officially referred to as the Mexican Farm Labor Program). The program lasted much longer than anticipated and in 1951, Congress formalized the Bracero Program with Public Law 78. From 1942 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The subject then became controversial when more Mexican nationals, desperate for work, were willing to take on these backbreaking jobs at wages most Americans weren t willing to work for. American farm workers had reason to be concerned that the braceros would be competing with them for the same jobs but at lower wages. The original concept of the Bracero Program was to serve and protect both Mexican and domestic workers. For example, Americans would receive at least the minimum wage in the area of the current work; guaranteed employment for three fourths of the contract period; adequate, sanitary, and free housing; food provided at a low cost; job insurance would be at employer s expense; and free transportation back to Mexico was provided when the seasonal contract was up (Bracero History Archive, 2017) . The agriculture employers were also only supposed to hire braceros when there was high labor shortage, and were not to abuse the system. However, employers ignored many of these regulations and Mexican workers were used as strikebreakers while native workers were put out of a job. The only party who benefited from this injustice were the growers because they got cheap labor. This imbalance went unchecked and as a result farm wages dropped suddenly from the 1940s to the1950s, farm wages dropped sharply as a percentage of manufacturing wages, a result in part of the use of braceros and undocumented laborers who lacked full rights in American ... • 13. Analysis Of George Berkeley s Dialogues Christopher Podlaski In George Berkeley s Dialogues, he presents and subsequently dismantles several of his predecessors ideas through the use of two characters, Hylas and Philonous. His main goal in this project is to refute the flawed concept of reality that something unperceived and unperceiving could exist (Atherton). However, in attempting to argue for this, particularly when arguing against John Locke s distinction between primary and secondary qualities, he sets his opposition up as a dummy argument and therefore commits a logical fallacy. Berkeley does not understand Locke s view and therefore incorrectly bases it on the ordinary experience of large objects that are perceivable to the naked eye. In his attempt to show that the perception of primary qualities are also subject to relativity like secondary qualities, Berkeley misinterprets Locke s arguments to have a different foundation than they do. He is therefore inaccurate in his method of refuting Locke s distinction (Atherton). One might claim that disproving Locke s primary secondary quality distinction is not necessary to Berkeley s goal, which is refuting previous philosophies of reality. However, he spends a considerable amount of time on the concern that Locke s primary qualities are also subject to the relativity of experience and the inconsistencies of perception, as secondary qualities are. This, in its self, refutes such a claim. In Locke s work, he submits that the physical world is made up of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 1703, Jean Baptists Le Moyne Sieur de Bienville lead an expedition throughout the lower region of North America territory, when he settled in what is modern day Mobile, Alabama to celebrate the first known celebrated Mardi Gras event. Mardi Gras was not commemorated in New Orleans until the 1930s which was about twelve yeas after the city was founded. For a fifty year period in time, New Orleans did not celebrate Mardi Gras as a carnival, but rather through social balls influenced by Louisiana s governor in the early 1940s, Marquis de Vaudreuil. • 15. NO Spiritual Reward for Depriving the Physical Body There is NO Spiritual Reward for Depriving the Physical Body of Comfort or Pleasure I. Doctrine There is a great falsehood that is perpetuated by the modern church, and it is one that threatens the very mission assigned to every believer in Matthew 28:18 20. Before one can address this falsehood, one must understand the duty of God s people in this life. It is the believer s task to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them as God ordained, and teaching them how to obey the teachings of Jesus. What then are the teachings of Jesus? As believers, we hold as doctrine that God the Father, along with the Holy Spirit and the Son created all that is. He gave Man, God s special creation made in His own image, dominion over the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This heresy is the idea that there is a spiritual reward for depriving the physical body of comfort or pleasure. The Catholics who endured the outbreaks of bubonic plague in the Middle Ages sometimes resorted to self flagellation, a practice of whipping or beating one s self in order to gain favor with God (and presumably avoid plague). Catholics have long practiced similar traditions, with some devout Catholics praying on particularly uncomfortable prayer mats or refusing red meat on certain days. Some Catholic clergy go so far as to wear burlap undergarments, so as to suffer with Christ and perhaps gain favor with God. This heretical doctrine declares the atonement by Christ to be an incomplete one, and contradicts His final words, the confirmation that It is finished (John 19:30b). The particular incarnation of this heresy that pervades even the evangelical churches of today comes to light in those churches condemnation of various things, including drugs and alcohol. Now, as described above, all things created by God in the beginning were good. The use of the earth s resources was given to Man, and with it responsibility. The scriptures indicate that alcohol can be a deceiver. Immoderate use of alcohol leads to drunkenness, which the scriptures indeed condemn (Galatians 5:19 21). However, alcohol was never forbidden to the Hebrews, and Jesus himself made it at the wedding in Cana (John 2). It seems clear that the alcohol itself is not what the scriptures ... According to science, the Keirsey Temperament Test should be one of the the most correct personality tests crafted. After taking three various personality tests in my English class, the True Colors, the Keirsey, and the Tibetan test, I surmised that the Keirsey Temperament Test was the most exact regarding my character and attributes. It was especially valid in extrapolating that I am very dependable, thorough, and serious. Some may claim that science cannot tell you who you are, because it is our emotions that rein us. Overall, though the other tests were somewhat precise; this one most reflected my personality. Firstly, this test was correct because it stated that I persevere and am a dependable person. Owning a parrot is an incredible commitment. It requires 24 hour responsibility and an awareness of factors that most people never give a second thought to. Some of these factors can mean life or death to a parrot. We still do not know very much about how our day to day living affects our feathered companions, so it s important to remain up to date and continue your research every day. Parrots have a very sensitive respiratory system. They have a set of lungs as well as air sacs that are distributed throughout the body. This makes their breathing extremely efficient and incredibly sensitive to chemicals and fumes. Scented candles, plug in home deodorizers, hair products and perfumes, cigarettes, etc. can cause great harm and even death when used in the same room as a parrot. If it smells strongly to you, it could be harming your parrot. On the other side of that, there are many products that we cannot smell that can be just as harmful. PTFE/non stick coated cookware, space heaters, self cleaning ovens, etc. have the potential to off gas and release very harmful fumes that can kill parrots in a matter of seconds. Many products are being manufactured with non stick parts that are not listed in their manuals/warning paperwork. This is where doing your research is imperative. There are about 440, 00 people that survived polio (LaRocco, 2011). It is estimated that between 15% and 80% of people with polio will have post polio syndrome. Post polio syndrome generally occurs 15 years after the polio virus has subsided (LaRocco, 2011). The symptoms are muscle weakness, atrophy, pain, fatigue, and cold sensitivity. Fatigue can impair cognition as well as other symptoms (Grafman et al., 1995). The symptoms can come on slowly or quickly. Medications haven t been proven to work well in treating the muscle symptoms, but rehabilitation may help (LaRocco, 2011). Pain and the psychiatric problems are important to control. Medication such as aspirin, hot pads and cold pads can help alleviate pain. Post Polio syndrome is not usually life threatening (LaRocco, 2011). The brain structures affected in post polio syndrome are those involved in motor learning and control (Grafman et al., 1995). These include structures such as the cerebellum, cerebral cortex, basal ganglia, and globus pallidus. Conglomerate and vertical mergers help to strengthen the market power by discouraging potential entrants. The monopoly theory played a dominant role in the past, especially in the first great merger wave in the U.S. between 1887 and 1904. Today most of the horizontal mergers are too small to confer monopoly power, because larger acqui sitions fall under intense antitrust scrutiny. In the industrial strategy and organization literature mergers are often explained in terms of synergies and/or efficiencies. The efficiency theory is based on the assumption that the combined firms are more profitable than the companies operating separately because of the operational, managerial and financial synergies. Operational synergies include economies of scale, economies of scope and economies of experience. The valuation or information theory explains a merger from a financial instead of a strategic perspective and assumes that the current market price of a company does not reflect the true value. The company which buys an undervalued firm believes it can manage the target company better than the current management. Not only has nuclear power seen use across the world, but it has seen applications in the United States and right here in Florida. Currently, there are two facilities operated by Florida Power and Light (FPL) in the Sunshine State that produce over 3,000 megawatts of energy homes, public buildings, and businesses alike (Florida Power and Light, 2016a). However, these plants are hundreds of miles away from Volusia County (located near the major metropolitan areas of Port St. Lucie and Miami) and their benefits cannot be reaped by citizens in the county due to this distance.
