Charlie Sheen Mccarthy Top Secret Jenny Mccarthy
Jenny McCarthy s Appalled Reaction When Charlie Sheen s Top Secret Is Finally Unveiled
As if Charlie Sheen was not already in dire straits that Jenny McCarthy has hit him hard for not
bringing to light his top secret, i.e. the diagnosis of HIV.
Jenny McCarthy, who hosts show Dirty, Sexy, Funny on SiriusXM, seems quite aghast about the
discovery of Charlie s sickness. It would be better to say that more than Sheen s condition Jeen
McCarthy is appalled by the idea that he had kept it hidden for more than four damn years. What is
more, both of them had worked together in the eight scenes of Two And A Half Men. The role played
by McCarthy was none other than Sheen s love interest .
Jeen McCarthy considers Charlie Sheen s top secret as costly

The Shakespearian Play Much Ado About Nothing
The Shakespearian play Much Ado about Nothing explores the position of women in a patriarchal
society and the difficulties they face. This play demonstrates how women in Elizabethan society were
expected to behave in a passive manner, how the men s opinion was accepted over the females and
how women had to conform to men. The over arching idea of the ideal female was that she was
passive and was accepting of her role in society. This theme is explored throughout the entirety of the
play but is highly demonstrated in Act one scene one of the play. In this scene the Audience is
introduced to Beatrice she is the opposite of the typical female stereotype of the time as she is
independent and she possess a quick wit and a sharp tongue. During this scene the ... Show more

replies I talk d with no man at that hour, my lord . The use of repetition in Claudio s language makes
the situation appear direr. The repeated use of the word men expresses the hatred Claudio is feeling at
that present time. Claudio is comparing Hero to a rotten orange. He is trying to suggest that she may
seem innocent and the ideal women from the outside but on the inside she is disloyal. The language
and the way Claudio expressed his hatred and the fact that Claudio is the dominant male in this
situation convinces the characters in the play of Hero s wrong doings. Hero denies the accusations
made against her but the characters chose not to believe her as she is a female who lives in the shadow
of a man who is of high authority and social status. The technique portrayed in the quote Give not this

of a rotten orange. Implying that she is disloyal and unfaithful to

Of Mice and Men Importance of Friendship George and Lennie
Of Mice and Men has many themes presented by Steinbeck, one of which is about friendship. The
novella shows the relationship between the protagonists, George and Lennie, and showing how they
try to achieve the American Dream by working together. This is in contrast to many of the other
characters who are alone by themselves which seems to be the norm at the time of the Great
Depression. The reader is able to look at how the need to have a companion is portrayed by Steinbeck,
especially during the harsh economic times that the story is set in.
The reliance that George and Lennie have on one another is able to emphasise on how it is only the
friendship between the two of them which allows them to survive. Lennie saying I got you to look ...

Although most of the men have no true friends, they at least get to play cards and associate with
others. Lennie, because of the colour of his skin and his friendship with George, cannot possibly
understand Crooks plight. George chooses to kill Lennie at the novel s end, realizing that Lennie could
not stand the loneliness of being locked up in a prison or an asylum. This is also able to highlight the
true friendship which is separated at the end which also brings an end to the novella. Thus the need for
companionship, which is shown by other characters that are victimised within society, is emphasised
as other strive for what George and Lennie have.
Throughout the book Steinbeck uses many characters to emphasize a message which he wants to get
across to the reader. This is how the importance of being able to share a friend was vital during the
1930 s as it was the time of the Depression era and everyone always needed someone else to be with.
This is what makes the true friendship between George and Lennie a key component of the

Tactical Leadership VS Organizational Leadership
There are certain things that you need to know as a leader, I will explain some of the differences facts
and opinions about tactical leadership verse organization leadership. Leadership is not just a word or
act that is use only in the military, every organization in the world has some type of leadership
structure from the small business to the biggest cooperation leadership plays an important roles. I will
discuss some of the similarities between the tactical and organizational leadership as it relates to the

As an effective leader one has to be especially close to their subordinates in order to provide them
with the necessary purpose, direction and motivation to complete their assigned task. The tactical level
is usually found at the company or platoon level, this leader is always looking to accomplish the short
term goals in support of the long term mission. Tactical leaders must know how to solve problems
quickly and without hesitation, they have more direct influence over soldiers because they are in the
trenches with them. At this stage the leader has to council, correct and led their soldiers through the
direct approach of leadership.
Organization leadership This leadership style is where the leader actually has to plan and synchronize
training in order that the small units are able to produce the tactical into the operational action. At the
organization level a leader is not in a traditional leadership position when they are directly in charge of
soldiers. Leaders in this style are the one whom establish section that develop plans and create orders.
When a result is achieved at this level the entire team is responsibility for the outcome. Organizational
leaders make decision that affect the long term goal and helps plan the short term mission for their
subordinate units. The tactical and organization leadership styles have some very different level

The Cause Of The Three Causes Of Road Accidents
Causes of road accidents.
Nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day, according to
the Association For Safe International Road Travel. Road accidents are practically dangerous for
everyone; they might cause serious injuries, severe damage and even be the reason why someone s life
is taken away from them. There can be several reasons why a car crashes. Distracted driving,
speeding, and drunk driving are the three main causes of car accidents.
The most significant cause of road crashes is the fact that people are often distracted while driving.
Each day in the United States, more than 9 people are killed and more than 1,153 people are injured in
crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver, reports the Centers For Disease Control And
Prevention (CDC). There is a range of many diversions however; a lot of people find the temptation to
resist replying to a phone call or text extremely difficult. Without a doubt, this distraction is
threatening since cell phones can get the drivers eyes away from the road, which ... Show more

A person is considered to be speeding when they drive at a speed that exceeds the speed limit. A lot of
people think that speeding saves them loads of time but in reality, it only increases the risk for
themselves and other drivers. Unfortunately, speeding causes the worst trauma when it comes to car
collision. Driving too fast limits the time passengers have to react to a crash therefore, the injury is
usually more extreme. Also, the greater the acceleration that causes a car crash the stronger the force is
on the body. As a result, many individuals suffer immensely from those types of unfortunate incidents.
If a driver is not worried about their own life, he should at least respect the fact that there are many
other drivers and passengers including kids on the same road that he might seriously harm by driving

Bracero Program Case Study
The Bracero Program was a program designed to accommodate farmers from the U.S. with man
power for the harvesting of the fields while their own men were away from home at war. Furthermore,
this program provided permission for those men coming in from Mexico to continually work in the
U.S. for a total of six months. However, due to the fine print written in on the agreement between
Mexico and the U. S. regarding the Bracero Program, it indicated that the U.S. employers would be
held accountable to providing certain criteria for the Mexican employees during their employment. In
addition, the farmers saw this added incentive as a burden and therefore, looked to less expensive
labor, which meant hiring on those Mexicans who crossed the border illegally.

Black Boy Moral Dilemmas
In Black Boy, Richard Wright, the protagonist of the novel, faces many decisions that he must make,
but his moral dilemmas are the most important and make the biggest impact on Richard s life. A moral
dilemma is a situation requiring a choice between equally undesirable alternatives that is also
concerned with goodness or badness of character. Richard s moral dilemmas often decide whether he
will survive in the South or not because they usually occur around conflict that can get Richard
lynched. One moral dilemma that Richard repeatedly faces is whether to stand up for himself against
oppression, and most of the time white people, or to stifle his emotions and let the situation go. More
specifically, Richard faces this type of moral dilemma after he breaks his bike while he is out and is
offered a ride to town by a small group of white boys. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When addressed by one of the boys, Richard, in the heat of the moment, forgets to call him sir which
severely angers the white boy. All of a sudden, they smashed a bottle on the back of Richard s head
which causes him to fall off of the car. Although Richard is dazed, he clenches his fists in preparation
to fight. This is a serious moral dilemma that Richard faces. He must decide whether it is worth it to
defend himself against these boys, or allow the situation to unfold and try to avoid conflict. The right
thing to do is, although he did not start the fight, to not carry on a fight, but it could also come down to
a matter of survival where Richard would have to fight these boys to not be killed right there on the
street. Luckily, one of the white boys stops another from continuing the fight and beating Richard up

Maximilien Robespierre
Maximilien Robespierre is oft cited as the sole and driving force behind the excesses of the Terror;
while his role in the Terror can t be ignored, clemency must be exercised in the charges levelled
against him. The majority of the deaths under the Terror approximately 70% occurred in the
suppression of the Vendee and Federalist Revolts (with the mitraillades, noyades, etc.), largely under
the representatives on mission, who operated partially under Barére s (a Committee of Public Safety
member) order to suppress the Vendee. Many of these representatives on mission were recalled and
arrested by the Committee of Public Safety for their excessive brutality; demonstrated in General
Westermann s letter reading I have crushed the children...massacred the women... ; which was later
constrained by the Law of Frimaire.

Hebrew Wisdom Essay
Found in The Old Testament of the Holy Bible is a variety of teaching of Hebrew wisdom. I find
Proverbs and Ecclesiastes to lend much instruction to the subject of diligence and laziness. The
Hebrew teaching is quick to point out that diligence leads to wisdom and laziness is folly. Choices in
life and sinful behavior ends up in disastrous circumstances. In the essence of (The Essence of the Old
Testament) Hebrew wisdom literature teaches us how to make good decisions in life, but also how to
make godly decisions. This essay will explore how the Hebrew wisdom teaches the repercussions of
living wise and diligent verses living lazy and excluding God.
The Bible offers an abundance of teachings that enlighten us to the value of diligence verses the
pitfalls of laziness. All too often we see people who are either looking for an easy contribution or, a
way to better their current circumstances. The goal is to show and help the ones who have a sense of
desire to contribute to society and afford them the opportunity to prosper. Definition of diligence is
careful and continued hard work much like the Ant. Notice, none of them have defined leaders, all of
them live in colonies, have separation of labor, and collect and store up food for those long days. They
can also carry 10 50 times its weight. Laziness is described as a person who is a slothful or indolent.
(Proverbs 6:6 NSV) teaches us Go to the ant, you lazy man! Observe its ways and become wise .
Wisdom is imparted to us

Old Poor Law Summary
The Elizabethan Poor Law, commonly known as the Old Poor Law, was instituted in 1601 as a method
to manage poor relief in the midst of societal and economic shifts. Since the 1960s comparative
analyses and case studies have been central to a revisionist historiographical approach. Historians such
as A.L. Beier and Paul Slack, following in the footsteps of E.P. Thompson, reshaped the way that the
history of the poor laws was being made in the 1980s through their use of social history. Their
examinations of poverty during Tudor and Stuart England through the use of governmental statutes
and proclamations, as well as local sources, set the stage for later histories of poverty and poor relief.
However, their work at the local level left something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It displays the value of social history to the subject by examining vagrants, not simply vagrancy
legislation. With Masterless Men, Beier gave agency to vagrants of the time. As he stated: Sixteenth
and early seventeenth century vagrancy involved more than being poor and rootless. It was the
product of profound social dislocations a huge and growing poverty problem, disastrous economic and
demographic shifts and massive migration and had important political consequences. Beier s work
truly shows the values of examining the context of vagrancy and legislation through a social lens that
captures more than a strict examination of official records. Future scholarship should continue to focus
on the actual context of vagrant life and the political and economic dimensions of the influence of
vagrancy on the ground level. However, Beier s insistence that historians that focused on
demographics were weak is overstated. Beier himself devoted a great deal of time to demographic
shifts in his own text, which makes his own critique questionable. Demographics are a valuable aspect
of the type of social history that can benefit the understanding of vagrancy in the

Media And Psychological Analysis
The influence of the media on psychological human development is profound (PMC, 2003). Media
influences do play a vital role in shaping a person s behaviour, particularly in adolescent and young
adult years. Media affects society and can control how people interact and behave, also contributing to
what is socially and culturally accepted (raisingchildren.net.au, 2015).
The effects of media are most powerful during a person s adolescent and young adult years.
Adolescents and young people have to work through a broad range of issues in their transition from
childhood to adulthood and usually becomes a time for experimenting and partaking in risky
behaviours (Better Health Channel, 2015). A person may turn to certain media outlets, including print,
television, film and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As society changes and moves towards a more technological era, media is heavily relied upon. When a
person is insecure or vulnerable, media can be a way for people to feel connected with the world and
people around them. Children are exposed to media and technology from a very early age, particularly
with its use in schools and households. For example, a toddler watching Sesame Street can be taught
valuable lessons about racial harmony, cooperation, simple arithmetic and the use and application of
literacy, through an educational television format. The use of media continues throughout a person s
life, as society depends more and more on it for relaying information and educating (PMC, 2003).
Media is changing the way how people access and share knowledge (common sense, 2015). Cultural
and political awareness can be learned, as media can expose young people to an array of different
cultural backgrounds, ethnic groups and traditions. Family members and peers may display
stereotypes of different cultural groups, though media outlets can offer a varied display of ethnic
groups and can allow people to think critically,

Hannah Arendt
Arendt would comprehend this issue to be similar to the Nazi Germany and the Stalinist Soviet Union
and Arendt would very much approve of Tariq Ramadan view because he understands that once one
falls into the terrorist scheme and discriminate towards the Western Muslims, it would be very
problematic and idiotic. This is where Ramadan has stated that; we need to be consistent as to our
condemnation of the consequences in our analysis of the cause and the principles we stand for.
Therefore, it is important to not only live together by principles and right but predominantly the sense
of belonging (Democracy Now, 2015).
Thirdly, Hannah Arendt clarifies the notion of moral inversion on how one could preach about doing

Her definition of thinking is not just simply using one s mind to form of ideas, but rather, beyond the
reflective mode of rationality (The Guardian, 2011). No one but the mind itself can form evil, and I
agree with Arendt because the one s in authority would be powerless if people were in their righteous
mind to say no. And of course, people believe evil acts could be based on their own selfishness, greed
and delusions but that is what Arendt would perceive it to be thoughtlessness. Reflectively, the mind is
very crucial to decision making and if evil is banal, it is everyone s responsibility to remove it. Arendt
has repetitively emphasizes that the mind is so powerful to the point that it can be destructive and only
the mind itself is our foe. This is generally because if we were to ever stop thinking, we can be in the
same position as the perpetrator ourselves that cannot differentiate between right and wrong.
Horrifyingly, I don t think we would even be considered human beings by

Visual Representations Of Maori Women Essay
This essay examines visual representations of Maori women within the photographic domain. I will
examine and compare three examples of how Maori women were represented within the European
domain in the early twentieth century paying particular attention to the research done by Jacqui Sutton
Beets in her book ?Bitter Sweet: Indigenous women in the Pacific?. Investigating the meanings and
functions based on the ideologies of the time as well as the importance these representations have held
within a social and cultural context for Maori Women and cultural identity. In comparison I will also
examine two Maori artists that have represented Maori women within the contemporary domain and
how the codes and conventions used in portrait photography have transformed the stereotype construct
of early colonial imperialism.
Early representations of New Zealanders are often associated with the notions of hardworking, no.8
wire thinking people that live in an untouched natural environment. These generalisation?s stem from
stereotypes that derived from the pioneers who came to New Zealand and colonized an undiscovered
land and developed a nation. Arguably this is the western view of what New Zealand identity is.
Social change over time has seen New Zealanders transform from a nostalgic L P commercial (which
ironically mainly show white men) into a multi cultural, sophisticated, adventurous people or as Prime
Minister John Key has been quoted ?loyal and proud?. A romantic

impact is a popular topic as well that is covered continuously in the news mainly by claiming the

Begin by weighing a 125 mL Erlenmeyer flask and recording the result. Next, add approximately 2 g
of salicylic acid to the Erlenmeyer flask. Then, record the new mass of the Erlenmeyer and the
salicylic acid. Next, inside of the hood add 5 mL of acetic anhydride and 10 drops of 85% phosphoric
acid. Stir the mixture with a stirring rod. Next, place the flask in a boiling water bath and stir until the
solid dissolves. Next, remove the flask from the water bath and let it cool to room temperature. Then,
add 20 drops of water to the flask. Next, add 25 mL of cold water to the flask and place it in an ice
bath for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, to collect the Aspirin crystals, add a piece of filter paper to a

Speech For A Introductory Speech On Procrastination
Introductory paragraph:
Hook: (I am sitting there) and I wonder about my homework then I say oh when I am going to be
presenting my speech and then I say oh I ran out of time.
Greeting: Good afternoon, judges, teachers, and fellow classmates
Introduction to topic: Today I will be talking about something horrible we have all done before. Today
I m going to share with you some statistics that I can t believe affect us all. According to the Brandon
Gaille website in the article about 17 lazy procrastination statistics, they said that 85 to 95 percent of
students in North America procrastinate and the number of chronic procrastinators has quadrupled
during the last thirty years?
What is procrastination?
I know some of you are sitting there wondering what procrastination is. Well, procrastination is the
action of putting off tasks that are planned to be done for tasks that are of lesser importance. So if you
think of it, you are actually trying to sabotage your success. There are actually two types of
procrastinators one is the situational procrastinator and the other is a chronic procrastinator. A
situational procrastinator usually procrastinates because of how they feel about a particular task
(usually because we don t like it). Chronic procrastinators procrastinate in almost every situation, and
that is the normal for them. So is procrastination laziness or an illness? Procrastination could be a
physiological illness if the person procrastinates because of

Explore the Different Ways Power Is Presented in...
Power is presented through characters by using a long description of what the character is like,
describing their appearance, positive points and negative points. The power of the character is
presented by demonstrating their dominance or submissiveness over another character through their
actions, speech and the way they behave around them, and if they change their behaviour around other
people, for example Curley acts as if he s the best in the world at everything around Lennie because he

he s been with him for so long that he needs him. The power of this friendship is extremely significant
because a normal migrant worker has no friends or family so is extremely lonely and earns some
money then spends it in a bar but with George and Lennie, they have each other so don t just spend
their money in a bar and they don t get lonely.
George and Lennie s dream is to have a patch of land with some pastoral and agricultural farming with
nobody to boss them about and this relates to the American Dream because every migrant worker
wants this but never gets it because They come to a ranch and work up a stake and then they go into

The Conversion Of Constantine s Conversion Essay
The Conversion of Constantine Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity.
He started his reign in 306 AD. During this time the Roman Empire was still composed mainly of
pagans. Although the population of Christians was on the rise, in the beginning of the fourth century
Christians made up only 10 percent of the population in the Roman Empire. There were
approximately five million Christian in the Roman Empire meaning that they were still the minority
(Waldron). His conversion was an important turning point not only for Christians but also for the
Roman Empire as a whole. Although most Romans still believed in Greco Roman religions,
Constantine decided to become a Christian because he knew that it would be beneficial for his role as
emperor. His conversion was prompted by his desire to end the tetrarchy structure of he Roman
Empire and to become the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. The story of Constantine s conversion was
told through Eucbuius of Caersera. His recount of the story is skewed by his bias. In order to show a
more holistic view of the story I will be comparing his account to the account of Andreas. Constantine
had other motives for converting to Christianity such as Alföldi. Constantine s decision to become a
Christian was influenced by numerous external factors. Constantine emulated the monotheistic nature
of Christianity and used it as the foundation of his reign and used Christianity to advance his political
agenda. When

In American society, wealth has played a particularly significant role in shaping the culture and
standards set for our country. With every dilemma that has occurred, money was been an underlying

prices of steel, all the way Jennifer Price s take on people being obsessed with a money, even Scott

Mary Meeker Biography Essay
Born in the early 1920 s, Mary Meeker s father saw great potential in his creative little girl. He vowed
to make sure she got to college, something which he had been unable to do. He fancied himself a
business man, so the family moved from place to place as he looked for the elusive perfect
opportunity. Every new school brought another Intelligence Test and eventually Mary skipped a grade.
Mary s sister who was learning disabled was often mistreated by the Nuns at one of the schools,
causing Mary to turn away from her religion. Her mother did not see her talent or creativity and was
often mean and abusive toward her children. As a result of these events, and recognizing that she and
her sister were at different ends of a spectrum, Mary vowed to advocate for the development of
diverse intellectual abilities. Educationally, Mary more than fulfilled her father s hopes as she gained a
Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, a Doctorate in Educational Psychology and continued with
post graduate studies.
In a desperate need for teachers, California offered provisional teaching certificates to those with a
related degree, and Mary accepted. She was immediately assigned to students with severe
developmental delays. She didn t know how to teach them and there were no resources to draw upon.
Eventually she motivated the children s creativity by dancing and singing for much of the school year.
When Mary was re assigned, she got a Special Education Class and found that it had a

The Importance Of Government Regulations
Government regulation is important to society. A protection to both society and the citizens, criminal
law allows for government intervention on the daily issues of the country
(Saunders and Bromwich, 2016, p. 15). Regulations purposes listed here are just a few:
Protecting the environment, regulating the marketplace, and regulating individuals (Saunders and
Bromwich, 2016, p. 16 25). The government is concerned with the amount of damage caused by
human beings to earth. Water supplies are being damaged through agricultural by products, industries
are spewing chemicals in the air, water, and ground, and the disposal of waste in our lands and water
(Saunders and Bromwich, 2016, p. 16). The government regulates the destruction of earth by creating
ways to incentivize and protect the environment (Saunders and
Bromwich, 2016, p. 16).
In the marketplace, rich businesses cause white collar crimes. Fraud, scams, or misleading
advertisements are regulated by the government through criminal law (Saunders and
Bromwich, 2016, p. 20 21). Furthermore, the government is obligated to regulate the individuals
within society (Saunders and Bromwich, 2016, p. 23 25). Crime happens because of human greed and
corruption, and the government needs to set down rules to prevent and protect the law abiding
citizens. There will be three types of government regulations that will be addressed. The first method
of government regulation is taxes (Saunders and Bromwich, 2016, p. 27). By

Discrimination
The aim of the essay is to link sociology and the law and show how law and society are related and
interdependent.
INTRODUCTION
Discrimination separates people instead of uniting them. Discrimination also hampers the self
confidence and affects the psychology of the person being discriminated against. Prejudice causes
several changes in society .Even though these changes might not be intended .Discrimination is a
threat to democracy, democracy is based on the idea of a society in which all individuals enjoy equal
rights and treatment irrespective of their caste , gender, wealth etc. Democracy recognizes the equal

Prejudice could also exist in order to get approval from peers and to be accepted in a group for
behaving in a discriminatory way towards someone from another group. Prejudice, discrimination, and
violence against others is effected by times of economic difficulty when others come into the city to
do jobs that the indigenous people would otherwise do. Prejudices normally are carried on after
generations and such prejudice with histories are not easy for societies to get rid of. It could be the
result of race, religion, disability, social status, upbringing, trying to maintain an advantage, for
financial/material gain, prejudice, gender, looks, age, background etc.
It is a right of every individual to be given equal protection against discrimination to ensure there is
equality before the law. This right is a universal human right(Universal D eclaration on Human
Rights) and its violation is not limited to a country in particular; discrimination in today s world is
everywhere.
Prohibition of discrimination is also an essential element of national legal systems, as it seeks to
eliminate arbitrariness in dec ision making, en hancing the in clusiveness and predictability o f
decision making and thus the functioning of the legal system .
From the societal point of view, th e protection of esp ecially national, ethnic and religious minorities

Qin Shi Huang And The Unification Of China
As centuries pass, historians are still able to remember the achievements attained by the first emperor
of unified China. Although known as a ruthless ruler, we can acknowledge that the successes he had
were lasting and helpful for the future of China. Qin Shi Huang became the first emperor of China at
220 BCE after his uncle passed the throne onto him and founded the Qin Dynasty. During this time
period, China was divided into many kingdoms. Qin s main goal in life was to unify China under his
rule. In order to do so, he waged war against the other six major kingdoms. By 221 BCE, he was able
to unify China under his rule. It was the first time that China became unified. Qin Shi Huang was able
to create a large impact on China s history due to the starting the idea of the Great Wall, developing a
system of writing, and the unification of China.
Qin Shi Huang inherited the throne at the age of thirteen and was named as the Chinese head of state
of Qin. At the age of 38, Qin renamed himself the first emperor and called himself Shi Huangdi. When
he named himself as Shi Huang Di, he chose it because huangdi would tie himself to the first king
since he believed Huang outranked wang . During that time period, wang was known to be king. He
used di because it meant he had the divine right to rule, and shi meant he was the first emperor of
China. All in all, his name combined means the first emperor of China. He changed his title because
he believed that he deserved it since he was able to establish a unified China. Qin Shi Huang did not
recognize the past rulers as emperors because the past rulers did not rule a unified state. He was then
known as Qin Shi Huang to rulers after him. The country was wealthy and powerful when Qin Shi
Huang ruled the kingdom but after Qin died, the dynasty fell apart.
Qin Shi Huang had a large impact on China s culture. He helped implement canals and roads for easier
travel. He started the imperial road system and created fast roads. He was extremely influential in
China s government. Qin declared that the round coins with a square shaped hole in the center will be
the currency of China. He named it the bang liang coin. The first emperor was able to create a

Essay On Partition Of India
During Partition of India, it is now estimated that more than 75,000 women were kidnapped and
raped. As there was total pandemonium at that time, there were no genuine records which can be used
to verify these facts and figures. There was an iota of doubt that the number was larger than what was
declared. Immediately the state was made alert of the problem of lost women by means of the reports
filed by their respective families. The state constituted search committees consisting of social workers,
mostly police and women, whose task was to go into each other s countries to recover the kidnapped
women. It is to be noted that they were granted with the official permission as well. The search
operation to recover the kidnapped women in India, popularly identified as the Central Recovery

this proves that the responsibility of Partition goes to the Muslim League in general and M.A. Jinnah
in particular. Though the Congress tried to prevent the Partition from taking place, it became
unavoidable because the leaders had taken different moves. Jawaharlal Nehru and Kripalani showed
their alacrity for dividing the nation. Jinnah was in a most worried and annoyed mood as a result of
the Partition of Bengal and the Punjab. The draft of the Partition was shown to M.A. Jinnah on the
10th April 1947 who refused it immediately. He levelled the charges against the fraudulence and
hypocrisy of the British. However, the Viceroy had already finalised his plan of the Partition by that
time. On the 25th April 1947 the Viceroy printed the secret news of Partition which created a lot of
disturbance all over the sub continent. All the Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs were perturbed and annoyed

Organizational Culture And Human Resource Management
Research by Newman Nollen (1996) indicated that organization performance is better in the
companies which there is congruency between national culture and human resources practices. If the
human resources management practices are not in line with the basic tenets shared by employees, it
will lead to dissatisfaction, lack of commitment and discomfort among the employees (Early, 1994).
Introduction Culture affects and governs all facets of life by influencing values, attitudes and behavior
of a society, while organizational culture relates to the unique modes of carrying out their activities
(Dartey Baah, 2013). Furthermore, the nature of organizational culture is largely influenced by the

Under the high hierarchical company structure in china (which scores 80 in Hofestede s index), the
manager is more likely to hold the value that he has more power and rights, thus, more priorities than
his subordinates. so the managers have more rights to be assigned overseas to gain experiences and
knowledge. Conversely, in a small power distance culture like US (index 31 in Hofestede s culture
dimension), power is rather equally distributed among the members and employees. For oversea
assignment in US, all suitable candidates are equally considered and carefully selected by employers.
Detailed expatriate policy is also provided to guide and govern the assignment (jian wangye; Kopp,
1994). Long term orientation Apart from the high power structure, the other distinction of Chinese
companies is interpersonal (guanxi) networks within the organization (managing the human resource
in Chinese western joint). Guanxi is adopted from the Chinese language of relationship having good
guanxi is synonymous with positive functioning in society (Tsui Lau, 2002). In China, employees may
be invited for dinner together when they first meet, in the middle of a project and when the project is
finished. They build up relationships at work and to personalize the guanxi keep the relationship deep
and long, so in the future, they could get possible help from each other if there is any difficulty in both

Rhetorical Questions About Graphic Design
Narrative intro:
Witty comment rhetorical question about art. Artist quote. Implication of the medium of Graphic
design. What is Graphic design what do i Know about Graphic design. This is my journey of
discovery of the pathway of an arts career specifically in the sector of graphic design. Before i
conducted my research about graphic design i new of only certain aspects of graphic design. I knew
graphic design was a career of the art field and was greatly integrated with technology. They use
tablets, computers, etc to create advertisements.
I had made many assumptions about graphic design before i actually researched it. I believed it was a
extremely low paying job, and as was all art involved jobs. I believed you had to be incredibly

It all began that day in the computer lab. I logged onto an ebsco resource database and i began typing
in keywords pertaining to artistic careers, but mainly graphic design. I used lots of my sources i found
on the database were taken from encyclopedias. We went as a class to the computer lab and researched
on ebsco database. I was a bit lazy, then a couple weeks later i finally took the plunge and went to the
library. I love books and libraries, but it s just a social issue for me. Books are so personal and to have
someone else read and feel the same things is just so exposing and you kinda feel naked. So being in a
library with other people is somewhat... weird. But finally my friend, lauren, and i entered the library.
I initially had a hard time finding any books, i really don t like asking for help because it s honestly
awkward. But i found an initial art/ film isle. It was very limited but i didn t expect more from a
school library. To my delight i found that there was a somewhat large isle all pertaining to graphic
design. I m short, so i made sure to bring a tall friend to reach the books on the top shelf. I proceeded
to grab three books, two on the history of graphic design (which deemed less helpful), and an
explanatory manual on the different aspects of Graphic design. I also watched a documentary on
netflix called Abstract: The art of Design I found the best information in that book, describing the
basics of graphic design and in the netflix documentary. The documentary offered insight on different
fields of design whether it was political cartoons, stage design, typography, or in the fashion industry.
The basis of my project is specifically graphic design, yet graphic design is applicable to many
mediums. The book gave me the basic details and background information, and i could apply my
previous knowledge to really understand the netflix documentary which was a series of interviews of
designers and their specifics of their

The high quality text that we chose to work with was The Korean Cinderella written by Shirley Climo
and illustrated by Ruth Heller. Shirley climo has ventured to many places learning about different
culture and writing classic tales through the story lenses of different cultures. Ruth Heller is a
wonderful illustrator. All her drawings for the books she s illustrated are colorful and vibrant. She has
also illustrated for a few of Shirley Climo s books besides this one. Before illustrating this book,
Heller traveled to Korea to do research on her illustrations for this text. The last pages of the book are
devoted to both the author s and illustrator s notes. Here they discuss why they made certain writing or
artistic decisions. Shirley Climo even mentions that she wrote this story based on three different
variations of the Korean tale.

Jenny McCarthy, who hosts show Dirty, Sexy, Funny on SiriusXM, seems quite aghast about the discovery of Charlie s sickness. It would be better to say that more than Sheen s condition Jeen McCarthy is appalled by the idea that he had kept it hidden for more than four damn years. What is more, both of them had worked together in the eight scenes of Two And A Half Men. The role played by McCarthy was none other than Sheen s love interest . • 3. The Shakespearian Play Much Ado About Nothing The Shakespearian play Much Ado about Nothing explores the position of women in a patriarchal society and the difficulties they face. This play demonstrates how women in Elizabethan society were expected to behave in a passive manner, how the men s opinion was accepted over the females and how women had to conform to men. The over arching idea of the ideal female was that she was passive and was accepting of her role in society. This theme is explored throughout the entirety of the play but is highly demonstrated in Act one scene one of the play. In this scene the Audience is introduced to Beatrice she is the opposite of the typical female stereotype of the time as she is independent and she possess a quick wit and a sharp tongue. During this scene the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... what men may do! what men daily do, not knowing what they do! ..... Give not this rotten orange to your friend, she s but the sign and semblance of her honour, Behold like a maid she blushes here Hero replies I talk d with no man at that hour, my lord . The use of repetition in Claudio s language makes the situation appear direr. The repeated use of the word men expresses the hatred Claudio is feeling at that present time. Claudio is comparing Hero to a rotten orange. He is trying to suggest that she may seem innocent and the ideal women from the outside but on the inside she is disloyal. The language and the way Claudio expressed his hatred and the fact that Claudio is the dominant male in this situation convinces the characters in the play of Hero s wrong doings. Hero denies the accusations made against her but the characters chose not to believe her as she is a female who lives in the shadow of a man who is of high authority and social status. The technique portrayed in the quote Give not this rotten orange to your friend is an example of a simile. Claudio is comparing Hero to the characteristics of a rotten orange. • 4. Of Mice and Men Importance of Friendship George and Lennie Of Mice and Men has many themes presented by Steinbeck, one of which is about friendship. The novella shows the relationship between the protagonists, George and Lennie, and showing how they try to achieve the American Dream by working together. This is in contrast to many of the other characters who are alone by themselves which seems to be the norm at the time of the Great Depression. The reader is able to look at how the need to have a companion is portrayed by Steinbeck, especially during the harsh economic times that the story is set in. The reliance that George and Lennie have on one another is able to emphasise on how it is only the friendship between the two of them which allows them to survive. Lennie saying I got you to look ... Lennie, because of the colour of his skin and his friendship with George, cannot possibly understand Crooks plight. George chooses to kill Lennie at the novel s end, realizing that Lennie could not stand the loneliness of being locked up in a prison or an asylum. This is also able to highlight the true friendship which is separated at the end which also brings an end to the novella. Thus the need for companionship, which is shown by other characters that are victimised within society, is emphasised as other strive for what George and Lennie have. Throughout the book Steinbeck uses many characters to emphasize a message which he wants to get across to the reader. This is how the importance of being able to share a friend was vital during the 1930 s as it was the time of the Depression era and everyone always needed someone else to be with. • 6. The Cause Of The Three Causes Of Road Accidents Causes of road accidents. Nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day, according to the Association For Safe International Road Travel. Road accidents are practically dangerous for everyone; they might cause serious injuries, severe damage and even be the reason why someone s life is taken away from them. There can be several reasons why a car crashes. Distracted driving, speeding, and drunk driving are the three main causes of car accidents. The most significant cause of road crashes is the fact that people are often distracted while driving. Each day in the United States, more than 9 people are killed and more than 1,153 people are injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver, reports the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC). Also, the greater the acceleration that causes a car crash the stronger the force is on the body. As a result, many individuals suffer immensely from those types of unfortunate incidents. However, due to the fine print written in on the agreement between Mexico and the U. Black Boy Moral Dilemmas In Black Boy, Richard Wright, the protagonist of the novel, faces many decisions that he must make, but his moral dilemmas are the most important and make the biggest impact on Richard s life. A moral dilemma is a situation requiring a choice between equally undesirable alternatives that is also concerned with goodness or badness of character. Richard s moral dilemmas often decide whether he will survive in the South or not because they usually occur around conflict that can get Richard lynched. One moral dilemma that Richard repeatedly faces is whether to stand up for himself against oppression, and most of the time white people, or to stifle his emotions and let the situation go. This is a serious moral dilemma that Richard faces. He must decide whether it is worth it to defend himself against these boys, or allow the situation to unfold and try to avoid conflict. The right thing to do is, although he did not start the fight, to not carry on a fight, but it could also come down to a matter of survival where Richard would have to fight these boys to not be killed right there on the street. • 11. Hebrew Wisdom Essay Found in The Old Testament of the Holy Bible is a variety of teaching of Hebrew wisdom. I find Proverbs and Ecclesiastes to lend much instruction to the subject of diligence and laziness. The Hebrew teaching is quick to point out that diligence leads to wisdom and laziness is folly. Choices in life and sinful behavior ends up in disastrous circumstances. In the essence of (The Essence of the Old Testament) Hebrew wisdom literature teaches us how to make good decisions in life, but also how to make godly decisions. This essay will explore how the Hebrew wisdom teaches the repercussions of living wise and diligent verses living lazy and excluding God. The Bible offers an abundance of teachings that enlighten us to the value of diligence verses the pitfalls of laziness. All too often we see people who are either looking for an easy contribution or, a way to better their current circumstances. The goal is to show and help the ones who have a sense of desire to contribute to society and afford them the opportunity to prosper. Definition of diligence is careful and continued hard work much like the Ant. Notice, none of them have defined leaders, all of them live in colonies, have separation of labor, and collect and store up food for those long days. They can also carry 10 50 times its weight. Laziness is described as a person who is a slothful or indolent. (Proverbs 6:6 NSV) teaches us Go to the ant, you lazy man! Observe its ways and become wise . Wisdom is imparted to us ... • 12. Old Poor Law Summary The Elizabethan Poor Law, commonly known as the Old Poor Law, was instituted in 1601 as a method to manage poor relief in the midst of societal and economic shifts. Since the 1960s comparative analyses and case studies have been central to a revisionist historiographical approach. Historians such as A.L. Beier and Paul Slack, following in the footsteps of E.P. Thompson, reshaped the way that the history of the poor laws was being made in the 1980s through their use of social history. Their examinations of poverty during Tudor and Stuart England through the use of governmental statutes and proclamations, as well as local sources, set the stage for later histories of poverty and poor relief. However, their work at the local level left something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It displays the value of social history to the subject by examining vagrants, not simply vagrancy legislation. With Masterless Men, Beier gave agency to vagrants of the time. As he stated: Sixteenth and early seventeenth century vagrancy involved more than being poor and rootless. It was the product of profound social dislocations a huge and growing poverty problem, disastrous economic and demographic shifts and massive migration and had important political consequences. Beier s work truly shows the values of examining the context of vagrancy and legislation through a social lens that captures more than a strict examination of official records. Future scholarship should continue to focus on the actual context of vagrant life and the political and economic dimensions of the influence of vagrancy on the ground level. However, Beier s insistence that historians that focused on demographics were weak is overstated. Beier himself devoted a great deal of time to demographic shifts in his own text, which makes his own critique questionable. • 13. Media And Psychological Analysis The influence of the media on psychological human development is profound (PMC, 2003). Media influences do play a vital role in shaping a person s behaviour, particularly in adolescent and young adult years. Media affects society and can control how people interact and behave, also contributing to what is socially and culturally accepted (raisingchildren.net.au, 2015). The effects of media are most powerful during a person s adolescent and young adult years. Adolescents and young people have to work through a broad range of issues in their transition from childhood to adulthood and usually becomes a time for experimenting and partaking in risky behaviours (Better Health Channel, 2015). As society changes and moves towards a more technological era, media is heavily relied upon. When a person is insecure or vulnerable, media can be a way for people to feel connected with the world and people around them. Children are exposed to media and technology from a very early age, particularly with its use in schools and households. For example, a toddler watching Sesame Street can be taught valuable lessons about racial harmony, cooperation, simple arithmetic and the use and application of literacy, through an educational television format. The use of media continues throughout a person s life, as society depends more and more on it for relaying information and educating (PMC, 2003). Media is changing the way how people access and share knowledge (common sense, 2015). Cultural and political awareness can be learned, as media can expose young people to an array of different cultural backgrounds, ethnic groups and traditions. Hannah Arendt Arendt would comprehend this issue to be similar to the Nazi Germany and the Stalinist Soviet Union and Arendt would very much approve of Tariq Ramadan view because he understands that once one falls into the terrorist scheme and discriminate towards the Western Muslims, it would be very problematic and idiotic. This is where Ramadan has stated that; we need to be consistent as to our condemnation of the consequences in our analysis of the cause and the principles we stand for. Therefore, it is important to not only live together by principles and right but predominantly the sense of belonging (Democracy Now, 2015). And of course, people believe evil acts could be based on their own selfishness, greed and delusions but that is what Arendt would perceive it to be thoughtlessness. Reflectively, the mind is very crucial to decision making and if evil is banal, it is everyone s responsibility to remove it. Arendt has repetitively emphasizes that the mind is so powerful to the point that it can be destructive and only the mind itself is our foe. I will examine and compare three examples of how Maori women were represented within the European domain in the early twentieth century paying particular attention to the research done by Jacqui Sutton Beets in her book ?Bitter Sweet: Indigenous women in the Pacific?. Investigating the meanings and functions based on the ideologies of the time as well as the importance these representations have held within a social and cultural context for Maori Women and cultural identity. In comparison I will also examine two Maori artists that have represented Maori women within the contemporary domain and how the codes and conventions used in portrait photography have transformed the stereotype construct of early colonial imperialism. Early representations of New Zealanders are often associated with the notions of hardworking, no.8 wire thinking people that live in an untouched natural environment. These generalisation?s stem from stereotypes that derived from the pioneers who came to New Zealand and colonized an undiscovered land and developed a nation. Arguably this is the western view of what New Zealand identity is. Greeting: Good afternoon, judges, teachers, and fellow classmates Introduction to topic: Today I will be talking about something horrible we have all done before. Today I m going to share with you some statistics that I can t believe affect us all. According to the Brandon Gaille website in the article about 17 lazy procrastination statistics, they said that 85 to 95 percent of students in North America procrastinate and the number of chronic procrastinators has quadrupled during the last thirty years? What is procrastination? I know some of you are sitting there wondering what procrastination is. Well, procrastination is the action of putting off tasks that are planned to be done for tasks that are of lesser importance. So if you think of it, you are actually trying to sabotage your success. There are actually two types of procrastinators one is the situational procrastinator and the other is a chronic procrastinator. A situational procrastinator usually procrastinates because of how they feel about a particular task (usually because we don t like it). Power is presented through characters by using a long description of what the character is like, describing their appearance, positive points and negative points. The power of the character is presented by demonstrating their dominance or submissiveness over another character through their actions, speech and the way they behave around them, and if they change their behaviour around other people, for example Curley acts as if he s the best in the world at everything around Lennie because he tries to beat him up but he doesn t act that way towards Slim, who is more dominant and powerful than him in terms of dominance, but not in terms of ranch hierarchy. The power of this friendship is extremely significant because a normal migrant worker has no friends or family so is extremely lonely and earns some money then spends it in a bar but with George and Lennie, they have each other so don t just spend their money in a bar and they don t get lonely. George and Lennie s dream is to have a patch of land with some pastoral and agricultural farming with nobody to boss them about and this relates to the American Dream because every migrant worker wants this but never gets it because They come to a ranch and work up a stake and then they go into town and blow their stake, and the first thing you know they re pounding their tail on some other ranch. . It gives them hope for their future because without the dream, Lennie and George have nothing to look forward to so they can go on living without a worry because even if something does happen, they know at some point they will eventually be able to get away from it. • 20. The Conversion Of Constantine s Conversion Essay The Conversion of Constantine Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. He started his reign in 306 AD. During this time the Roman Empire was still composed mainly of pagans. Although the population of Christians was on the rise, in the beginning of the fourth century Christians made up only 10 percent of the population in the Roman Empire. There were approximately five million Christian in the Roman Empire meaning that they were still the minority (Waldron). His conversion was an important turning point not only for Christians but also for the Roman Empire as a whole. Although most Romans still believed in Greco Roman religions, Constantine decided to become a Christian because he knew that it would be beneficial for his role as emperor. His conversion was prompted by his desire to end the tetrarchy structure of he Roman Empire and to become the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. The story of Constantine s conversion was told through Eucbuius of Caersera. His recount of the story is skewed by his bias. In order to show a more holistic view of the story I will be comparing his account to the account of Andreas. Constantine had other motives for converting to Christianity such as Alföldi. Constantine s decision to become a Christian was influenced by numerous external factors. Constantine emulated the monotheistic nature of Christianity and used it as the foundation of his reign and used Christianity to advance his political agenda. When ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although known as a ruthless ruler, we can acknowledge that the successes he had were lasting and helpful for the future of China. Qin Shi Huang became the first emperor of China at 220 BCE after his uncle passed the throne onto him and founded the Qin Dynasty. During this time period, China was divided into many kingdoms. Qin s main goal in life was to unify China under his rule. In order to do so, he waged war against the other six major kingdoms. By 221 BCE, he was able to unify China under his rule. It was the first time that China became unified. Qin Shi Huang was able to create a large impact on China s history due to the starting the idea of the Great Wall, developing a system of writing, and the unification of China. Qin Shi Huang inherited the throne at the age of thirteen and was named as the Chinese head of state of Qin. At the age of 38, Qin renamed himself the first emperor and called himself Shi Huangdi. When he named himself as Shi Huang Di, he chose it because huangdi would tie himself to the first king since he believed Huang outranked wang . During that time period, wang was known to be king. He used di because it meant he had the divine right to rule, and shi meant he was the first emperor of China. All in all, his name combined means the first emperor of China. He changed his title because he believed that he deserved it since he was able to establish a unified China. Qin Shi Huang did not recognize the past rulers as emperors because the past rulers did not rule a unified state. He was then known as Qin Shi Huang to rulers after him.
