Currently, there are two major of database management systems which are used to deal with data, the
first one called Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) which is the traditional relational
databases, it deals with structured data and have been popular since decades from 1970, while the
second one called Not only Structure Query Language databases (NoSQL), they have been dealing
with semi structured and unstructured data; the NoSQL term was introduced for the first time in 1998
by Carlo Strozzi and Eric Evans reintroduced the term NoSQL in early 2009, and now the NoSQL
types are gaining their popularity with the development of the internet and the social media. NoSQL

The operation began with Russian invading Afghanistan in 1979 in fears that the Middle Eastern
nation would align itself with the US. As fear of Communism continued to spread through the US
where they wishedd to bog Russia down in a costly war thereby turning Afghanistan into their
Vietnam . In an operation called Operation Cyclone , the CIA sent money and weapons to Afghan
freedom fighters called Mujahideen (The Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan and the U.S. Response, 1978
1980). However, all of the money and weapons went to Pakistan who would then decide which
Afghan groups would receive the aid. No Americans were allowed to enter Pakistan which was ruled
by military dictator Zia al Huq whose main goals were building nuclear weapons and creating an
Islamic state. During the 1980s, America gave $6 billion in aid to Pakistan. Between 1981 and 1987,
the US gave $1.3 billion to Mujahideen (The Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan and the U.S. Response,
1978 1980), all of which was matched by Saudi Arabia. Similarly to the coup in Iran, the regime
change operation of Afghanistan also created negative effects. For example, in 1980 the US placed a
grain embargo on Russia which increased tensions between the US and Russia even more. Also, the

Though Asian workers are heavily exploited through these processes, so is the consumer. Keady s
research notes that Nike spends a total of $16.25 to make a basic Nike shoe (Keady, 2011). Of that
$16.25, only $2.43 goes toward labor, while the rest goes to materials and overhead. At the
breathtaking low cost that it takes to make a Nike shoe, it demonstrates how the consumer is also
exploited in spending hundreds of dollars to purchase a shoe that costs such a low amount to make.
Mass marketing of the Nike brand causes the cost of Nike products to skyrocket. Moreover,
commodity fetishism can also relate to how the environment has the potential to be exploited or taken
advantage of. During his research in Indonesia, Keady found where literal tons of Nike shoe products
found themselves in landfills, such as rubber soles and other shoe pieces that were discarded through
various factory productions. In an attempt to mask these ongoing problems, Nike can be depicted as
trying to create other initiatives. To counter the Nike trash talk, Nike created the Reuse a shoe program
in 2002, where Nike pledged to recycle 2 million shoes of any brand annually (Keady, 2011). These

In the U.S., the Government made a study published in 2016 that 40% of total US energy consumption
was consumed by residential and commercial properties (U.S. Department of Energy, 2017). The
below notes the major building services that consume the most energy. For New York to meet the
greenhouse gas requirements by 2050, a reduction of 80%, they imposed regulations (Halper, 2017).
This is outlined below.
To ensure that the skyscraper met the LEEDS rating system standards, multiple services and
considerations within the building were modified. They consist of;

Replacing the standard light bulb to either a CFL (Compact Florescent Lamps) or LEDs, can save
approximately 65% to 80% on energy in comparison with the average light bulb. The bulb lives are
increased with CFL being 10,000 hours and LED being 25,000 hours. (U.S. Department of Energy,
2017). When purchasing light bulbs for an office situation there are rules and regulations to meet so
the lighting is appropriate for a work environment.
To achieve the LEED rating for lighting, contributes 23 points towards the total LEEDS rating, the
New York skyscraper must only provide lighting to areas which are in use at the time; use natural
lighting where possible; use sustainable light fittings; use reflective lighting; and use control lighting

This can be seen in examples of tiny home owners. Andrea Tremols spends only five to ten dollars
every month on her electric bill. This is a huge difference comparing both House A and House B.
Imagine living in Tremols house and only paying 5 dollars a month compared to $50 $150 every

symptoms, reduce the stress caused by them and helping client acquire skills that will allow them to
change their way of thinking and responding to stress inducing situations. In this approach, the
therapist focuses on the here and now (Zborowski, 2014) while assisting the patient by supporting and
encouraging them to use personal resources to confront problematic behaviors. Both classical and
operant conditioning are methods used in behavioral interventions, although elements modeling are
often incorporated. Several methods and techniques are used during CBT such as systematic
desensitization, exposure, relaxation, positive and negative reinforcement, cognitive modification,
problem solving and stress management. Exposure and relaxation methods will be discussed during
this paper, as most of the trials used these methods during treatment. During exposure, patients are
repeatedly exposed to an anxiety producing stimulus and encouraged to resist from engaging in
avoidance behavior. The patient then rides out the anxiety producing stimulus until it subsides

took a journalism position in Indiana and later took a position in Washington. In 1996, he moved to
New York, where he is today. He has written five books and each has been on the New York Times
best seller list (Famous Authors). In his first year of working as a journalist for The New Yorker, he
wrote, The Science of Shopping. In this piece, Gladwell objectively evaluates Paco Underhill s
research within the business industry. Underhill would have from a hundred to five hundred pages and
pages of carefully annotated tracking sheets and anywhere from a hundred to five hundred hours of
films for each experiment that he conducts (99). With Underhill s determination and research, and
Gladwell s journalistic qualities, this report changes the way anyone views shopping. Because

Aldo Leopold is specifically that one essay focuses more on the hunting aspect of life. Both essays
seem to care about the environment. In Abbey s essay he tries to figure out how to avoid killing the
snake; he needed to stay calm and move it without getting bit. In Leopold s essay he killed a wolf to
save the deer population; allowing him to hunt more deer. Each essay was written with great
description, yet showing one author cared more about the animal and its environment over the other.

The Importance Of Community Service
The efficiency of service can be looked at form multiple angles. Does the motive behind service less
than its effectiveness? I will be exploring just that in this paper by evaluating the net benefit to a
community and its lasting impact on the individual performing mandatory versus voluntary service. I
was drawn to this topic after listening to Tovia Smith s podcast, Selfish Giving: Does It Count If You
Get In Return?. Smith interviews many professionals on their opinion on service done for personal
gain. In the article, Community Service, published by the Center for Justice and Reconciliation, they
define mandatory community Service as restorative justice for offenders. The Center for Justice and
Reconciliation leads a reader to believe that offenders doing community service is no different than
when a high school student does it for a college application. I believe that the Center for Justice and
Reconciliation is correct that offenders and high school students both partake in mandatory
community service but for different reasons. High school students use service to get into college while
offenders use service to make amends with the community they have harmed. Both Smith and the
Center for Justice and Reconciliation agree that service is good but differ on what makes it efficient.

is difficult not to notice the current trend of organic foods on the shelves at the supermarket. 1 The
word organic refers to the way farmers grow and process agricultural products (Mayo Clinic Staff, par.
3). Whether or not to purchase organic foods has been a subject of debate in recent years. Since in
today s society people are always in search for the healthiest foods available to nurture their bodies.
Although few people can tell the difference between organic and non organic foods, there are various
benefits and differences in terms of the nutritional value, physical appearance, cost, and farming
practices.
When deciding whether or not to buy organic items, one factor to consider is their nutritional value.
