Christmas Symbols in the Philippines
PASKO SYMBOLS AND RITUALS Misa de Gallo The dawn of December 16 is different from
any other morning in the Philippines. When the day s first cockcrow is heard, exultation rings
throughout the nation as church bell toll loudly to signal the official start of Christmastide. The
dawn mass is aptly called Misa de Gallo or Mass of the Rooster. While Christmas has been in the
air for weeks, or even months, and people have been busy with Pasko activities today, Christmas
really begins. The sounds of this morning are unique, memorable and much awaited especially in
towns and barrios. In the dawn darkness still enveloping everyone, no one notices that some are still
in pajamas or nightclothes due to their excitement. Some of them are... Show more content on

John of the Cross, who later presented a version in a pageant. Seven years later, some Spanish
missionaries introduced it to Mexico, where it was called posadas (inn). From there, mariners
on the Acapulco galleons which landed in Cavite in the late 18th century or the early 19th
century incorporated it into local Christmas activities. The tradition still survives mostly in the
rural areas where it is called panunuluyan , meaning looking for lodging . There are two
variations, the live and the statuary although some cities have a combination of both. They stop
at three or four homes representing inns, and knock. They are told that the inn is full and there
is no room for you! and are quickly sent away. Those who cannot accept the biblical story of
rejection insist on giving the Holy Couple a glass of cool water or juice to drink, while quietly
offering wrapped food the specialty of the house to take along on their journey. The unsuccessful
search for a room ends in a constructed cave with a manger, or at a decorated corner of the church
altar. There, the Nativity scene begins, as the faithful jubilantly sing western and native Christmas
carols. Although the tradition has slowly vanished from the metropolitan cities over the past years,
it is still staged in school Christmas dramas and is sometimes sponsored by institutions for fund
raising purposes. Misa de Aguinaldo Church bells ring out for the

College In The Modern Age. Throughout The First Unit We
College in The Modern Age
Throughout the first unit we have explored the reasons as to why college may not be the best fit
for some. I believe that, like a majority of children, I was raised on the basis that a college degree
was needed to be successful. Many may think of higher education as a giant Ponzi scheme, where
students are lured into the promise of receiving high paying jobs due to the fact they attended
University. Today I realize that a college degree isn t a guarantee that you ll be successful rather it
is a way to gain the edge against peers. In this paper, I am going to further evaluate why college
was the best fit for me, and how I came to that conclusion.
Foremost, obtaining an undergraduate degree was presented to me by ... Show more content on

I believe that we need someone to step in and provide the training that is required to high school
counselors on other options besides college. Fortunately, enough I attended a high school where
the counselors were trained on giving students other options besides college. A close friend who
knew college wasn t the right option for him was given information about different apprenticeships
he could apply for after college. He is currently a welder and thinks that he has made one of the
greatest decisions of his life.
Moreover, While I was in high school preparing to apply for college, I would often see some of
my fellow peers struggling to figure out how they would fit the bill for University. As I first began
to apply to the big name universities I was noticing the very steep prices, with little financial aid
help. I knew I could obtain various scholarships, however that isn t the case for most students. Mike
Rowe stated that There is a trillion dollars in debt on the student loan side. That is over five
hundred times the rate of inflation it beats healthcare by over two hundred and fifty trillion dollars.
I think that student loans are single handedly the biggest opposition to many students attending
University. In my personal opinion, many students choose to follow the things that they are
passionate about, but

Mental Health Intervention Paper
Natural and man made disasters, crises, and other trauma causing events have become a focus of
the clinical mental health counseling profession because of the need to help people who
experience such events and who may develop psychological disorders that arises from them.
PTSD is a crippling outcome of many of these disasters and accounts for a large percentage of the
major effects to not only those experiencing the disasterfirst hand, but also to the first responders
and members of the affected communities (Satcher, 2007).
Concern about the increase in disasters worldwide has prompted advocates of mental health
interventions to study the relationship between mental health and disasters more closely in order to
devise effective strategies

The Pros And Cons Of Self Driving Jobs
Although in some respects self driving cars would cause an increase in unemployment but
generally where jobs are lots, even more are created. The software for autonomous cars has to be
very complex to allow it to navigate the roads while at the same time remaining safe for the
driver, other motorists and pedestrians. This means many new jobs will be created within the
software development market. On top of this there is much competition for the race to build
autonomous cars, over 33 corporations are pushing to create a safe and functional autonomous
vehicle, some of these companies include: Google, Tesla, Apple, Audi, Bosch and General
Motors. This healthy competition between companies is good for both employees as the
companies will be putting a lot of resources into building self driving cars. Overall the development
of self driving cars does create many jobs in all... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jobs are both created within the production and design of self driving cars and jobs are lost where
self driving cars replace the need for other forms of transport. In the long run, self driving cars will
outweigh the negatives of that they cause on unemployment and the economy. Self driving cars
have already created many high skilled jobs both designing the hardware and the software that
the cars are dependent on. With the competition between every big car manufacture and tech
giants to develop self driving cars there are many more jobs being created that need to be filled.
Self driving cars will help reduce congestion on motorways while help people in cities find
parking and travel more easily around cities. Although it can be argued that jobs will be lost
such as taxi drivers, truck drivers or bus drivers, autonomous cars are at least 3 years away from
release if not longer, this gives for the economy to adapt and change to reduce the impact but to
also develop the increasing range of benefits that self driving cars

Battle Of Constantinople Research Paper
The city of Constantinople was the center of the Christian Church, the trade capital of the Roman
Empire, and was ruled by Constantine II until it fell to the Muslims. This city was looked upon by
Europe as the strongest city there is because of the major walls surrounding it and the private
harbor. The war by the Muslims to gain Constantinoplewas very influential and there are many
major historical aspects from before, during and after war.
First, there were many things leading up to the war that were important. Mehmed II was an
Ottoman Sultan who deeply desired to conquer Constantinople for himself and turn it into a Muslim
city. The Muslims tried to take it many times before but were unsuccessful due to the Emperor
Constantine II defending it. The Emperor paid his enemies to keep the peace, until he ran out of
money. This city was the last of the Roman Empireand was already on its decline when, unable to

Although the Christians were outnumbered 10 to 1, they did not give up or surrender to the
Muslims. Mehmed II started by cutting off Constantinople from the rest of the world and shutting
down its imports and exports and controlling what goes into the bay. Once the war broke out and
even though they were outnumbered, Constantinople managed to win the first victory. The next
battles were fought viciously but neither the Ottoman or Constantine were successful. However,
when the Ottoman used cannons that could crumble the wall protecting the city the threat grew.
Day and night they shot cannon balls at the wall until they realized it wasn t doing as much
damage as they hoped, and decided to change tactics. The Ottoman then broke through
Constantinople s protected harbor and attack the city by both sea and land, in which they were
successful in taking down a major part of the wall. The Christians were slaughtered as the Muslims

April 18, 2016
Poland s Revoked Voting Rights in the European Union The end of the Second World War created
an era of peace for some countries, but for those under the control of the Soviet Union, life became
extremely difficult both socially and politically. Poland was under the direct authority of the USSR
and was subjugated to live with an authoritarian government, whom did not allow political
opposition and freedom. Decades passed until the USSR collapsed and even then Poland faced
rigged elections and remained under a regime that denied political change. The late twentieth
century spurred on opportunity for Poland when the first free election initiated an era of democracy
in politics and the promotion of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This hazard came after the government of Poland had reorganized the voting requirements of the
Constitutional Court and altered the structure of the nation s media outlets. The majority ruling
party within Poland, the Law and Justice Party, also raised moral questions among other EU
member states by establishing new government appointed leaders to the public television and
broadcasting agencies. This new change in judicial processes and media control has led many
members of the European Union to question both the democracy and corruption within the Polish
government and to determine if the new policies have infringed on the EU s values and morals.
Therefore, these recent political fluctuations have lead me to ask what powers does the EU have to
influence a member countries media and court institutions, why has the EU become worried about
Poland, and in which ways will the EU attempt to sanction Poland for their alterations? This
research paper will elaborate on Poland s recent political changes. It will then analyze how Poland s
changes have raised controversy with the European Union and why the EU was concerned. Lastly,
the research will demonstrate which institutions in the EU have jurisdiction over such a conflict,
and how the European Union will attempt to nullify Poland s voting rights within the EU.

Joseph Priestley Dephlogisticated Air
Oxygen is a highly reactive nonmetal element that is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. It is
the third most abundant element in the universe by mass, makes up 2/3 of the mass of a human
body and about one fifth of Earth s atmosphere (Helmenstine, 2016). The discovery of this
magnificence element can not credited to solely one individual. Both Joseph Priestley and Antoine
Lavoisier should receive credit for proposing new ideology and experimental findings that lead to
the discovery of oxygen. With his experiment using a twelve inch wide glass burning lens in 1774,
Priestley was the second to make the claim about the existence of oxygen and referred to this as
the discovery of dephlogisticated air (American Chemical Society International Historic Chemical
Landmarks). Hence, Priestley should be credited for the discovery of... Show more content on

Priestley concluded, air of red calx of Mercury is the best possible air: it is fully dephlogisticated
air (Lavoisier PowerPoint 1). In modern terms, Priestley thinks he has discovered pure oxygen.
Lavoisier then performed the same experiment and found discrepancies with Priestley s ideology.
He concluded, Air given off by Mercury calx is nothing but ordinary air (Kuhn, 1962). Lavoisier
continued on to complete two other experiments on respiration and the composition of common
air. He concluded that oxygen was a principle of acidity and oxygen was formed only when the
principle was combined with caloric or heat (Levere, 2000). This aspect also places Lavoisier on a
higher scale than Priestley due to incorporating quantitative methods of chemistry. Lavoisier went
on to give the element its Greek name, oxygen, meaning acid generating (Lavoisier PowerPoint 1).
With his correction of Priestley s work and through his continuous experimenting Lavoisier should
be credited for these aspects of the discovery of

network is a subset of ad hoc networks where each mobile node is an intelligent vehicle equipped
with communication resources (sensor). The optimal goal is that these networks will contribute
to safer roads and more effective in the future by providing timely information to drivers. They
are therefore vulnerable to many types of attacks. Many proposals have been proposed to secure
communication in VANETs. In this paper; we propose an approach to adopt a new method of
distributing certificates in VANET. In Our proposal the cluster head acts as a virtual CA and
issues certificates to cluster members. The main objective of our approach is to avoid making a
new certificate request in case a node passes from a cluster to another. This approach has been
evaluated by simulation study using the simulator network NS 2. Keywords PKI; VANET; CA;

HIPAA Research Paper
HIPAA is the Health insurance Portability and Accountability Act. It became law in 1996. The
original intent was to help employees change jobs and keep their health insurance by making their
coverage portable. Later, on April 14, 2003 lawmakers broadened the law to include the Privacy
Rule. Protected Health Information(PHI) is a HIPAA term, it includes all medical information of
an individual. All patients health information is protected no matter what form it is in. PHI can be
controlled in many forms such as backup disk or tapes, insurance statements, lab reports,
prescription forms, patient form, email, etc. Five steps to comply with the Privacy Rule are:

Object Oriented Programming
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (JAVA) IN INTERVIEWS 1)What is OOPs? Ans: Object
oriented programming organizes a program around its data,i.e.,objects and a set of well defined
interfaces to that data.An object oriented program can be characterized as data controlling access
to code. 2)what is the difference between Procedural and OOPs? Ans: a) In procedural program,
programming logic follows certain procedures and the instructions are executed one after another.
In OOPs program, unit of program is object, which is nothing but combination of data and code.
b) In procedural program, data is exposed to the whole program whereas in OOPs program,it is

Ans: final : final keyword can be used for class, method and variables.A final class cannot be
subclassed and it prevents other programmers from subclassing a secure class to invoke insecure
methods.A final method can t be overriddenA final variable can t change from its initialized

just prior to garbage collecollection finally : finally, a key word used in exception handling,
creates a block of code that will be executed after a try/catch block has completed and before the
code following the try/catch block. The finally block will execute whether or not an exception
is thrown. For example, if a method opens a file upon exit, then you will not want the code that
closes the file to be bypassed by the exception handling mechanism. This finally keyword is
designed to address this contingency. 15)What is UNICODE? Ans: Unicode is used for internal
representation of characters and strings and it uses 16 bits to represent each other. 16)What is
Garbage Collection and how to call it explicitly? Ans: When an object is no longer referred to by
any variable, java automatically reclaims memory used by that object. This is known as garbage
collection.System.gc() method may be used to call it explicitly. 17)What is finalize() method ?

Starfish And Green Crab Lab Report
Introduction The ecosystem with which the simulation is being done is an aquatic ecosystem.
This specific ecosystem is home to producers such as: black pine, coral weed, and nori seaweed.
Stationary consumers like acorn barnacles, gooseneck barnacles, and mussels are also present.
Mobile consumers such as chitin, starfish, and whelk. The invasive mobile consumer is the green
crab. Animals such as starfish compete with others like green crabs for mussels. Starfish and
whelk prey on and also compete for the gooseneck barnacle. Whelk and green crab also compete
for the acorn barnacles. The competition between starfish and green crab over mussels is what led

Holden Caulfield s The Catcher Of The Rye
It is evident that the protagonist, Holden Caulfield suffers from depression due to the death of his
younger brother, Allie in The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Due to Allie s death, Holden s
actions elicit his own views of the world and the phonies around him. Holden has tunnel vision to
living a simple, happy life and isolates himself from those around him who understand the concept
of growing up. Salinger uses a hat, a museum, and a merry go round to illuminate Holden s emotion,
the notion of adulthood, and the reality of growing up. Sigmund Freuds psychoanalytic theory and
the studies of Ego, Superego, and Id are used to show the significance of Holden s behavior in The
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger.
The unconventional hat that is in Holden s possession symbolizes his wish to hold onto the
simplicity of childhood and separate himself from the phonies that surround him. The hat also
comforts Holden in the aspect that it holds onto his brother s childhood that was lost due to his
premature death. Holden is terrified of growing up due to the fact that it leads to the phoniness of
adulthood. It is justified throughout the novel that Holden believes no one acts how they truly feel;
and it is hard to trust and be trusted. The hat offers Holden quite a lot of protection (213). However,
he is not so fond of wearing the hat because he doesn t want to stand out and draw unwanted
attention to himself; causing conflicting thoughts in Holden s mind that leads

among the five Iroquois nations and also to form an alliance, especially against foreign powers

when the Europeans arrived; some died of disease and some died in conflict, but the smaller groups

Slaves in Virginia and South Carolina seem to have found the most sense of community.
Throughout the history of the colonies, Virginia and South Carolina have had many slave revolts.
This is because these two colonies had the largest plantations, which means that they had the
largest amount of slaves all in one area at a time. This gave them strength in numbers. It was
common for slaves to form substitute families with each other because many families were
separated. This separation from their families also drew them closer together. This established a
sense of trust and a strong bond among the slaves, allowing them to rally together and launch
rebellions and revolts like the Stono Rebellion. This shows that they trusted and believed in each

important to minimize any wrong information or orders misunderstanding, or even

and the consequences could be major. Our institution compliance varied between departments, and
was noticed that surgical and in specific orthopedic department was the least compliant with
verbal order policy. The compliance in this department was 62%. Reasons for this non compliance
include: a. Lack of pathways for specific medical problems, where standard orders are the
acceptable route to minimize inappropriate orders. b. Timing of the verbal orders, specifically
during the night, where most of non compliance documented. c. Surgical and specifically
orthopedic department have a significant trust between surgeon and staff, which lead to non
compliance. These elements should be addressed aggressively to avoid harm. 3. Unacceptable

Why I Want To Pursue A Fine Arts Degree In Film
Films are an insight into human imagination, and each unique film offers the audience a chance to
experience worlds that would never exist. While literature also appeals to human imagination,
adding a visual element never fails to enhance the experience for audiences to encompass the
storytelling of directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and even filmproducers.
Storytelling has been apart of my life since before I can remember. I vividly remember going to
a midnight showing of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith even though I fell asleep and awoke to
Anakin Skywalker slain by Obi Wan Kenobi on Mustafar, I knew films had impacted me in a way
that I could not describe at such a young age. As I aged, I gave movies so much thought that I

with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film Production and a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration will be immensely significant to my future. I cannot think of a better
platform that will emphasize my passion for politics and my passion for films. The decision for
pursuing a film career not only comes from my love for films, but also my passion for breaking
the glass ceiling that oppresses many women and men of color from pursuing their dreams in
Hollywood because success for one of us is success for all of us. A career that appreciates the
high quality of cinema and the business of individuals who want to create art is something I
could never have asked for until now. Combining my love for managing projects and my love for

The Music Of The Pop Music Scene
M.I.A. emerged in the Indie pop music scene in 2002. M.I.A., also known as Maya Arulpragasam,
began her career in 2000 as a visual artist and filmmaker. After recording a documentary for the band
Elastica, they suggested she go into the music industry. Rather than just make music, Arulpragasam
wanted to make a statement that would be impacted politically, socially, and culturally. She sings
about third world countries and issues, specifically Sri Lankain her album Arular. Arulpragasam
drew from the discrimination she experienced while hiding with her family during the Sri Lankan
Civil War and the horror of the massacre of the Tamil people. Arular, pushes important notions
about a third world that has no voice in a first world indie music platform. Arulpragasam issues her
mission statement Pull up the people, pull up the poor , defining war in the simplest of terms: You
no like the people they no like you/Then they go set it off with a big boom (Thornburgh).
Arulpragasam pursued art as a child at various schools, such as the Holy Family Convent, so
that she could work her way up her class. Arulpragasam explains that the darker skinned kids sat
at the back by the poor ones who played out in the street all day long (Hopper). Being a Tamil, she
had darker skin, so she was on the back row. But because of her art skills, she became useful during
projects because of her art skills and was able to break from the discrimination of the backrow.

Hydraulic Jum Experiment Report
It is observed that the conjugate depth ratio of both the recorded and theoretical results increases
uniformly with the increase in the Froude number for all slopes tested. It is also evident from the
graphs that as the upstream Froude Number increases i.e. moves toward more supercritical flow,
the ratio of the D2/D1 i.e. ratio of the downstream depth to the upstream depth also increases. It is
also evident from the graphs that approximately 97% to 100% of the calculated results all lie
within the В± 10% of line of best fit for each curve. As well, each of the graphs verifies a strong
positive linear relationship between the dimensionless jump height and the upstream Froude
Number.
These results imply that a more supercritical upstream flow in D1, will produce a larger
downstream depth, D2, and thus a larger hydraulic jump. The results of the experiment confirm the
following relationships
a. D2/D1 1, the depth increases across the jump so that D2 D1
b. F2 1,downstream flow must be subcritical
c. F1 1,upstream flow must be supercritical
It is observed that length of the jump Lj/D2 ratio also increases with increasing F1 values
exponentially. However it must be noted that it is difficult to derive a purely theoretical expression
for the Jump length which at the present moment is done by comparing experimental data using
statistical methods.
The results also show that a stable hydraulic jump can only form when the three independent
parameters D1, D2 and F

When Enkidu dies, Gilgamesh seeks out Utnapishtim to learn the secret to eternal life. We are
now seeing Gilgamesh fear death. The basis of what Gilgamesh gets out of his time with
Utnapishtim is that it is impossible to know what death is, and human life is incredibly brief, so
he just have to deal with his circumstances. A Christian s ultimate goal in life is to glorify God
and to have eternal life with Jesus Christ. To live is Christ is saying that we should live our life
serving Christ and achieving Christ centered excellence. To die is gain means that a Christian s
deathis, in a sense, a return on their investment. We get to spend the rest of our eternal life with
Christ. Gilgamesh s ultimate goal was to have eternal life,

Phenotypes In Animals Lab Report
Introduction A study was created on the difference between phenotypes in corn stalks. We
planted corn seeds to see what phenotype they would result in and record the data. Using
statistical analysis, we determined the expected and observed color of the stalks. There were
some green and white. The ratio we tested was 3:1, a monohybrid cross. This means the dominant
trait is present 3 times, and the recessive only one (NDSU 2000). The objective of this study was
to compare our expected and observed phenotypes between corn plants.
Methods Our methods were fairly simple. To make sure our results were accurate, we used three
plant pots to plant our seeds. We labeled the pots with our names and their cross numbers. Filling
the pots with soil, we made sure it was damp and not wet by squeezing the soil out and packing it
in the pot about half way. Then, we planted five seeds and spread them out, so they had room to
grow. Lastly, we covered the seeds with more soil, also packing it lightly but tightly. After the
plants grew, we examined and determined that our hypothesized ratio was 3:1 with a sample size
of 38. Our phenotypes were green and white. We used a Chi square analysis to determine our
hypothesis. Null hypothesis: There is no difference in phenotypes between corn plants. Our
alternate hypothesis was that there is a difference in phenotypes between corn plants.

Keeping Your Grill s Exhaust System
Running a restaurant can be a challenging task for a variety of reasons, but keeping your grill s
exhaust system clean should not be a task that causes you stress or concern. This type of work is
essential both for to prevent grease fires from starting in your exhaust system as well as providing
a sanitary place for the preparation of food. If you have a thorough understanding of two basic
questions new kitchen managers may have about this process, you should find managing this aspect
of your kitchen to be far easier than you may have originally thought.

In 1985 Continental purchased the tire division of Semperit, the largest Austrian rubber firm, for

improvement in the firm s finances. The most remarkable step in Continental s transition, via

The Apology Of Socrates
The Apology of Socrates is a Plato s version of speeches given by Socrates who was accused for
two main reasons: the corruption of the youth and impiety (not believing in gods in whom the city
believes). In the Apology Socrates tries to defend himself and his actions but not to apologize for it.
He insisted that he must be wiser than others because he knows and recognizes that knows nothing.
The Apologyby Platoshows that there is a great influence of Socratesin searching for the truth about
humanity and society even when his attempt contradicted with the opinions of the many .

Socrates tells them that he will speak the truth, and pleads the judges to think of the justice of
his cause but not minding the style of his speech. In making his defense, Socrates will reply to
two kinds of accusations. At first, he refers to the older charges and his first accusers, and
secondly he replies to the accusations made by Meletus, Anytus, and Lycon. He was afraid of
the older accusers most of all and the reason behind this dread was that his accusers were many
and he couldn t call them all by name. These accusers falsely claims can be summed up in the
following words: Socrates is an evil doer, and a curious person, who searches into things under
the earth and in heaven, and he makes the worse appear the better cause; and he teaches the
aforesaid doctrines to others. He responses to these falsehoods by arguing that he has nothing to
do with the physical sciences nor is he paid for giving instruction he has nothing to teach. He then
goes on to explain how he gained such a bad reputation. The impetuous Chaerephon had gone to
Delphi and asked the oracle if there was any man wiser than Socrates; and the answer was, that
there was no man wiser. After a long consideration Socrates thinks of a method of trying a

Hip Hop And Its Influence On American Culture
Cultural Expression
Music has inspired and touched the lives of many aspiring hip hop artists which makes it one of
the most influential culture in American. Hip hop has become one of the most vital, and
profitable, forces in popular culture. Hip hop beats have influenced popular music genres from
rock to jazz to reggae. Hip hop is a form of art which can be expressed through rap songs, break
dancing, and graffiti art. The culture has become so popular that it has entered today s fashion and
modern language. Hip hop music is an extremely large part of today s generation and a global
genre, which influences the generation all over the world. The culture has entered everywhere
from TV commercials to toys, video games, and also fashion industry. I predict that hip hop
music is here to stay because that s the only way a hip hop artist can convey their story without
being arrested. Hip hop is here to stay because, inequality among poor people, injustice and police
brutality that hip hop music is protesting against still exist in American today. Hip hop groups like
Public Enemy and N.W.A. during the late 80 s and early 90 s made determined efforts to deal with
an attitude of sensitivity toward and sense of responsibility regarding injustice and problems in
society. Their music served as social awareness movement during their generation. Their music is
meaningful and powerful because it reminds black people to stand up and fight against injustice.

Physical Abuse In Geriatric Patients
In today s societies older populations have been forgotten, depreciated, and severely deprived of
adequate healthcare resources, services, and funding (O Brien, 2010). Issues involving
insufficient healthcare policies, limited research, and lack of elderly abuse education has
prevented geriatric patients from receiving proper care (O Brien, 2010). With this in mind some
research has shown high rates of physical abuse and negligence towards elderly patients in the
healthcare facilities (Zhang, 2011). The Adult Protective Services (APS) explains that negligence

There are three essential components of healthcare that need to be revised to accommodate the
elderly population: clinical practice, policy, and research (O Brien, 2010). One solution to resolve
the issues of physical negligence in geriatric populations is to promote educational programs that
are involved in all levels of medical training and practices in order to detect and intervene when
elderly abuse is suspected or evident (O Brien, 2010). Implementing specific guidelines for elderly
patient care, creating new methods and standards of practice for documentation, and creating a
patient care model to demonstrate proper treatment of elderly patients should be a priority for the
entire healthcare community (O Brien, 2010). Healthcare professionals and legislatures should
closely collaborate with each other in order to establish transparency. By developing uniform laws
and policies that clearly state specific documentation requirements needed for elderly abuse,
intervention and detection strategies for elderly abuse, and creating similar definitions for certain

Reflection Of A Theoretical Orientation
A theoretical orientation is the model used to describe a client s behavior, tendencies and
personality. Therapists can t approach and find explanations of behavior or personality in the same
manner due to the difference in client issues, diagnoses, and symptoms. Although different in
nature each theoretical orientationconsists of the general themes that can be seen and utilized
universally. As a counselor, it is important to develop and have sense of which theoretical
orientation works best for you and the type of clientele that you will be servicing. While it may be
a challenge to pick one theoretical orientation and stick to it due to the vast variety, it is important
that you incorporate your background, values, religious beliefs, as well as a host of other factors
into your decision to ensure that that orientation can be utilized properly.
So what is theoretical orientation? First and foremost, in my opinion, your TO is one of the most
important decisions you will make as a counselor. TO provides the framework and guiding
principles with regard to how a therapist will organize treatment, and provide the client with the
necessary information to have a positive and successful relationship and outcomes in counseling.
TO assimilates different points of views into a cohesive approach. TO consist of concepts, ideas,
and insight into a clients behaviors and how to effectively deal with them based on past research
and outcomes. They provide understanding on how a person s

Dell s primary products are personal and office computers and business of Dell also engages in
other products such as printers and software. A feature that determines PC companies such as Dell
to manage their products is through standardization of PCs. The main benefit of standardization is
that it helps Dell to reduce the cost of productions. However, when Dell adopted standardization
strategy, it made Dell more generic with other PCs companies such as IBM, Compact and Hewlett

Therefore, Dell started a new direct business model based on customization approach that enables

Canadian literature is an extensive field which has created a lot of memorable works of literature.
Even though Canadian literature began as an extension of colonial literature, in course of time it
has developed its own national characteristics. Early Canadian literature was heavily influenced by
the traditions of the mother countries. However, by the early twentieth century writers began to
discover their distinctly Canadian voices and expressed them through their writings.
The Canadian literature was mainly influenced by the landscape. The main themes of early
literature were the fights of the native to cope up with the Canadian environment and his fight for

theme of death occupies a predominant place from the beginning of the novel itself. The beginning

mother, who died as a consequence of her birth. The novel demonstrates each of Hagar s steps

Hagar first faced the truth that she is getting old and not going to be around much longer, her

During the late 90 s, when Gattaca was released, talks on gene manipulation were very serious. It
was also around the time when the clone of Dolly the sheep was revealed to the public. In my
opinion, Andrew Niccol had purposely released the film at that particular time to make realise
the consequences of gene manipulation, to make parents most of all, realise what could
happen. I think that at the end of the film, when Jerome commits suicide and Vincent is going up
into space, is a very effective part in portraying the consequences of having a genetically
modified child. A person who thought he was perfect in all ways possible, who people thought
to be perfect; his life ended the day he got a silver medal instead of gold in a swimming
competition. He tried to commit suicide, but became handicapped instead. However, he did
become successful in killing himself at the end. I think Andrew Niccol wanted to depict how fatal
the consequences could be, because people were only seeing one side of the story more like only
being shown one side the better side of the story; these people being parents. He wanted people, in
particular parents to become aware of the problems arising with having gene manipulated children.

Essay about The Great Potato Famine
The Great Potato Famine
The Great Potato Famine is characterized as one of the leading disasters in Ireland s history. It
began in the summer of 1845 with the appearance of an unusual disease growing on potato crops
throughout various parts of Europe. With the spread of this disease, it soon targeted Ireland
consuming the major crop of potatoes. The famine began by this mysterious disease that hit many
parts of Europe during 1845. This disease known as the blight was caused by a fungus known
phytophthora infestans . Prior to the blight, two main diseases known as curl and dry rot attacked
Ireland but were not as destructive (Kinealy 33). The blight was known to be originated from South
America through cargo ships that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By Ireland lacking things such as coal and iron, and not being as conductive in any other special
skills, their reliance was on the agriculture of the country. Remaining then on the agriculture and
the production of goods, the main importance therefore was the potato (O Brien 103). Among
the expanding population, the limit of potatoes was scarce, and in the event of something as
serious as the blight, the dependency became higher which led some people to emigrate or
starve (O Brien 103). At this time, about forty percent of the entire potato crop was ruined, so
the dependency began to grow stronger, and people began to make decisions on what to do
because of the overpopulation and scarce food sources (Newsinger 2). The main cause for why
Ireland was hit so hard during the spread of the blight was because of the over populated areas in
certain parts of Ireland.
The Famine in Ireland was based on several circumstances which occurred within the Country.
Another cause was the dependency on the potato which resulted from the over population. Since
potatoes were grown by a considerable section of the population, this caused such a dependency that
other citizens concentrated on Irelands agricultural growth of grains. A few years before the
Famine, the Irish economy expanded in the production of grains and exporting them to other
countries such as Britain. With the growth of grain exports from Ireland to Britain, the

The Lamb By William Blake
The Lamb was written by the famous English writer William Blake. William Blake was an English
writer from London who had very strong Christian beliefs that influenced his writings. Many of
Blake s poems had to do with his beliefs and views of God and Jesus. He published two famous
book called Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experiences , where he describes life in the eyes of
the innocent and of the experienced. In 1789 Blake published The Lamb in Songs of Innocence. I
was very pleased when I first read The Lamb because it was an easy poem that just gives you a
relaxing feeling. It also relates to many of my personal views of God and his son JesusChrist. A
sonnet is a poem made of 14 lines, The Lamb is made of only 20 lines. The Lamb is organized into
two stanzas. The first stanzastarts with Little Lamb, who made thee? and ends with Dost thou
Know who made thee? . The second stanza begins with Little Lamb, I ll tell thee and concludes
with Little Lamb, God bless thee! . The two stanzas are important because the first stanza asks a
question about who created the lamb and in the second stanza it give the response that God created
the lamb. This poem does rhymeand has a rhyme scheme of AA BB CC. AA is represented with
thee and thee, BB is feed and mead, and CC is delight and bright. William Blake often uses the
pronoun thee and thou meaning you. By using the word, thee and thy (you and your) it shows that
Blake intended to write the poem in second point of view.

The Moon is Down by John Steinbeck Essay
Throughout The Moon is Down by John Steinbeck, a controversial debate upon whether or not the
novel is successful in praising the ideals of democracy and free choice occurs. Some readers claim
this is not possible because the invaders are portrayed as sympathetic characters but I refuse to
agree with this argument. Throughout the book, I saw evidence to support the fact that the novel is
successful in praising democracyand free choice such as the inability for the invadersto take away
the townspeople s personal actions, the importance of the individual, an idea upon which
democracy is founded but also the pain that occurs when freedom is taken away. Many people

Molly Morden was a victim of the invader s iron fist but she was also trapped within the town, her
freedoms restricted. She proved that freedom, limited as it was, still existed when she killed
Lieutenant Tonder, revealing that free choice was successfully shown.
The popular novel by John Steinbeck is successful in praising the ideals of democracy and free
choice because it reveals the importance of the individual, an idea upon which democracy is
formed. Alex Morden states, I m not sorry. He told me to go to work me, a free man! I used to
be alderman. He said I had to work. (p 53) Alex was the man who sparked the fire within the
townspeople s hearts. His freedom as an individual was taken away and because of this he killed
Captain Bentick, providing him with a death sentence. When Alex died, a rebellion began to
grow, his death the catalyst to regain the townspeople s freedom. As Alex is a symbol to the
rebellion, the individual is the symbol for democracy. Without freedom, you have no satisfaction
that a democracy grants. When the invaders no longer ran under the pretense of democracy and
killed Alex, the rebellion began to grow into a raging fight for freedom, proving that the ideal of
democracy is successful.
The Moon is Down is successful in its ideals because it shows the pain that occurs when freedom
is taken away. Molly Morden states, I don t know why they let him come home. He was confused.

Clearly, these researchers had their own agenda to acquire a medical breakthrough that would
change the history of science and contribute to the greater good of society. However, their authority
was used in an unwarranted manner to accomplish their goals, regardless of their respectable
intentions in wanting to make medical progress. In reviewing these researchers and medical
practitioners actions during the 1950 s which entails series of unethical behaviors and violation of
human right, it develops an essential need to establish guidelines in the attempt to protect patient s
rights and privacy. Furthermore, due to the alternatives that arise throughout this case, there are
many possible outcomes to be considered that could have a significant impact on stakeholders if
these courses of action are fallowed. These solutions consequences may involve the tentative
research, an advance way of life for the Lack s family, political turmoil, economic health impact
and a society whose cells may have similar experience.
The impact of any solution to the Lacks situation could be far reaching. Stakeholders in any

Defining The Area Of Intellectual Property Law That...
The term of copyright used to describe the area of intellectual property law that regulates
copyrighted work such as book, songs, films and computer programs. This is governed by
Copyright, Designs, and Patents Act 1998 (CDPA). Sec 1 of CDPA give the creator right to
protect over literary, artistic, musical and dramatic work as well as film, sound recordings and
typographical arrangements. This concept expressed in Art 2 of TRIPS that it protects the
expression of an idea. However, when an idea could only be expressed in one particular way, it won

The recent exemptions as of 1 October 2014, intended for personal copies for private use and
also quotation and parody. These changes arose by Gowers Review 2006 and the Hargreaves
Review 2011. The reasoning was to make it fit for purpose in digital age, deliver economic growth,
and confer greater freedom for certain bodies. However, this changes is likely to affect businesses,
publisher, individual and institutions who deal in copyright works.
A landmark case on private use exemption can refer in Basca and others v Secretary of State for
Business Innovation Skills. This case significance to Section 28B of CDPA, any person who
legitimately acquired content (music, film and books) could copy the work for private use and
could storage onto other format without infringing. Here, a number of music industry bodies
sought a judicial review on the basis that Section 28B failed to provide a fair compensation to right
holders. Article 5(2)(b) of InfoSoc Directive permits member states to came up with private copy
exception if the copy for private use caused no more than minimal harm to copyright holders,
otherwise compensation would be payable. In UK, government create an exception which caused
zero or minimal harm to right holders and implemented a narrow concept which is only for

The trend has started to evolve already, in 460 B.C. a Greek physician, also known as The
Father of Medicine , named Hippocrates learns about the opium poppy plant. He notices that it is
useful to treating internal diseases, for women and epidemics. Alexander the Great introduces the
opium to the people of Persia and India around 330 B.C. Opium is now used by Arabs, Greeks,
and Romans as a sedative and soporific. 400 A.D., opium thebaicum, from the Egyptian fields at
Thebes, is first introduced to China by Arab traders. For a couple of hundreds of years opium had
vanished from all the records. In 1500 it came back, Portuguese, while trading along the East China

What Is Millward s View On The Silk Road
From the view point of author James A. Millward, The Silk Road was more than caravans and
tents, it was an ancient form of globalization, and it was more than just a one lane road. Millward
brings up three points that solidify his point of view. Idea one is, Yet the idea of the Silk Road
or silk roads has come to mean many things beyond brocades and caravans, and in its broadest
concept...it stands for the idea that humanity has thrived most when connected across its far flung
habits by the exchange of goods, ideas, art, and people. (Millward pg. 2) This brings to light the
ideas that the Silk Road was more than just a one lane path of which silk fabric and pasta was
traded along. Later in that same section Millward talks about when Hillary... Show more content on

Trautmann in his book, India: Brief History of a Civilization. Much like Millward, Trautmann s
thesis on the Silk Road is we could say that civilizations cast a penumbra beyond them, like the
half shadow around an eclipsed moon or sun. It is a useful metaphor by which to think about the
wider world beyond India proper, that was affected by India and that bears durable marks of its
influences. (Trautmann pg. 128) The culture of India was impacted by the trading of the Silk
Road, common Indian jewelry contained gold and red coral of which came from the
Mediterranean as it was the only place the coral of that hue could be found. In exchange they
received gemstones, pearls, ivory, steel sword blades, bronze vessels, and textiles. Textiles from
India have been found in numerous countries including Egypt where an Indian block print cotton
fabric from Gujarat dating about the 11th century was found (pg. 139) Not only were material
objects traded on the Silk Road but so were ideas and languages, with Indian religions came the
study of Sanskrit and Pali the formations of scripts based on Indian ones, scripts that continue today
in Burma, Thailand, and Cambodia. (pg. 136) It is seen that Buddhism and Hinduism, both
polytheistic religions show many commonalities besides the worshipping of multiple higher
entities. Also evident along other portions of the Silk Road, are Indian forms of Astronomy,

Education vs Prison Funding
Final research paper on Education vs. Prison Funding
The government is responsible for security of its citizens and it is also responsible to provide a
safe socio economic environment to its people, and in this context; Jails and schools are two
important institutions of any society, which need regular monetary support from the government.
Thus government has to be very careful in allocating funds to both of the institutions; as one
punishes the convicts and other makes the people skillful, and wise enough to get a job and earn
money for family. Government has to be very careful in allocation of funds to them, as it is very
critical to decide which institution should be allocated more money. The report, PrisonSpending

It also mentions that in past 30 years the population of the country increased by only 33 percent,
however the number of prisoners increased by around 350 percent. With this data we can assume
the amount of funding required for the functioning of jails. Prisoners are seen as potential threat
for the society; government spends billions annually to keep criminals in jails, to supervise
those on parole and probation. Though the prisoners are also human beings and deserve basic
comforts of life in jail too; but, it is also necessary for the government to instill fear of prison in
minds of all the people and it is not possible when prisoners enjoy the comfort in prisons. Jails
should be dreadful for criminals and this fear should work as a deterrent to commit crime, but
studies have revealed that fear of prison is not a successful deterrent for major part of prison
population. Sometimes they don t have an option but to commit crime, as many of them are not
educated enough to get a decent job and earn money; so they resort to crime to earn a living. A
report titled. Education and Correctional Populations suggests that it can only be stopped, if
prisoners are provided education to make them skillful, and instead of spending money on gyms
and other recreational things for prisoners, jails should spend money on making a good library and
providing technical education to prisoners, so they

When the day s first cockcrow is heard, exultation rings throughout the nation as church bell toll loudly to signal the official start of Christmastide. The dawn mass is aptly called Misa de Gallo or Mass of the Rooster. While Christmas has been in the air for weeks, or even months, and people have been busy with Pasko activities today, Christmas really begins. The sounds of this morning are unique, memorable and much awaited especially in towns and barrios. John of the Cross, who later presented a version in a pageant. Seven years later, some Spanish missionaries introduced it to Mexico, where it was called posadas (inn). From there, mariners on the Acapulco galleons which landed in Cavite in the late 18th century or the early 19th century incorporated it into local Christmas activities. The tradition still survives mostly in the rural areas where it is called panunuluyan , meaning looking for lodging . There are two variations, the live and the statuary although some cities have a combination of both. They stop at three or four homes representing inns, and knock. They are told that the inn is full and there is no room for you! and are quickly sent away. Those who cannot accept the biblical story of rejection insist on giving the Holy Couple a glass of cool water or juice to drink, while quietly offering wrapped food the specialty of the house to take along on their journey. The unsuccessful search for a room ends in a constructed cave with a manger, or at a decorated corner of the church altar. There, the Nativity scene begins, as the faithful jubilantly sing western and native Christmas carols. Although the tradition has slowly vanished from the metropolitan cities over the past years, it is still staged in school Christmas dramas and is sometimes sponsored by institutions for fund raising purposes. I believe that, like a majority of children, I was raised on the basis that a college degree was needed to be successful. Many may think of higher education as a giant Ponzi scheme, where students are lured into the promise of receiving high paying jobs due to the fact they attended University. Today I realize that a college degree isn t a guarantee that you ll be successful rather it is a way to gain the edge against peers. In this paper, I am going to further evaluate why college was the best fit for me, and how I came to that conclusion. Foremost, obtaining an undergraduate degree was presented to me by ... Fortunately, enough I attended a high school where the counselors were trained on giving students other options besides college. A close friend who knew college wasn t the right option for him was given information about different apprenticeships he could apply for after college. He is currently a welder and thinks that he has made one of the greatest decisions of his life. Moreover, While I was in high school preparing to apply for college, I would often see some of my fellow peers struggling to figure out how they would fit the bill for University. As I first began to apply to the big name universities I was noticing the very steep prices, with little financial aid help. I knew I could obtain various scholarships, however that isn t the case for most students. Mike Rowe stated that There is a trillion dollars in debt on the student loan side. That is over five hundred times the rate of inflation it beats healthcare by over two hundred and fifty trillion dollars. I think that student loans are single handedly the biggest opposition to many students attending University. The software for autonomous cars has to be very complex to allow it to navigate the roads while at the same time remaining safe for the driver, other motorists and pedestrians. This means many new jobs will be created within the software development market. On top of this there is much competition for the race to build autonomous cars, over 33 corporations are pushing to create a safe and functional autonomous vehicle, some of these companies include: Google, Tesla, Apple, Audi, Bosch and General Motors. This city was looked upon by Europe as the strongest city there is because of the major walls surrounding it and the private harbor. The war by the Muslims to gain Constantinoplewas very influential and there are many major historical aspects from before, during and after war. First, there were many things leading up to the war that were important. Mehmed II was an Ottoman Sultan who deeply desired to conquer Constantinople for himself and turn it into a Muslim city. The Muslims tried to take it many times before but were unsuccessful due to the Emperor Constantine II defending it. The Emperor paid his enemies to keep the peace, until he ran out of money. This city was the last of the Roman Empireand was already on its decline when, unable to pay the Turkish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the Christians were outnumbered 10 to 1, they did not give up or surrender to the Muslims. Mehmed II started by cutting off Constantinople from the rest of the world and shutting down its imports and exports and controlling what goes into the bay. Once the war broke out and even though they were outnumbered, Constantinople managed to win the first victory. The next battles were fought viciously but neither the Ottoman or Constantine were successful. However, when the Ottoman used cannons that could crumble the wall protecting the city the threat grew. Day and night they shot cannon balls at the wall until they realized it wasn t doing as much damage as they hoped, and decided to change tactics. The Ottoman then broke through Constantinople s protected harbor and attack the city by both sea and land, in which they were successful in taking down a major part of the wall. Poland s Revoked Voting Rights Nick Queen Dr. Mbaye POLS EU April 18, 2016 Poland s Revoked Voting Rights in the European Union The end of the Second World War created an era of peace for some countries, but for those under the control of the Soviet Union, life became extremely difficult both socially and politically. Poland was under the direct authority of the USSR and was subjugated to live with an authoritarian government, whom did not allow political opposition and freedom. Decades passed until the USSR collapsed and even then Poland faced rigged elections and remained under a regime that denied political change. The late twentieth century spurred on opportunity for Poland when the first free election initiated an era of democracy in politics and the promotion of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This hazard came after the government of Poland had reorganized the voting requirements of the Constitutional Court and altered the structure of the nation s media outlets. The majority ruling party within Poland, the Law and Justice Party, also raised moral questions among other EU member states by establishing new government appointed leaders to the public television and broadcasting agencies. This new change in judicial processes and media control has led many members of the European Union to question both the democracy and corruption within the Polish government and to determine if the new policies have infringed on the EU s values and morals. Therefore, these recent political fluctuations have lead me to ask what powers does the EU have to influence a member countries media and court institutions, why has the EU become worried about Poland, and in which ways will the EU attempt to sanction Poland for their alterations? This research paper will elaborate on Poland s recent political changes. It will then analyze how Poland s changes have raised controversy with the European Union and why the EU was concerned. Lastly, the research will demonstrate which institutions in the EU have jurisdiction over such a conflict, and how the European Union will attempt to nullify Poland s voting rights within the EU. It is the third most abundant element in the universe by mass, makes up 2/3 of the mass of a human body and about one fifth of Earth s atmosphere (Helmenstine, 2016). The discovery of this magnificence element can not credited to solely one individual. Both Joseph Priestley and Antoine Lavoisier should receive credit for proposing new ideology and experimental findings that lead to the discovery of oxygen. With his experiment using a twelve inch wide glass burning lens in 1774, Priestley was the second to make the claim about the existence of oxygen and referred to this as the discovery of dephlogisticated air (American Chemical Society International Historic Chemical Landmarks). He concluded that oxygen was a principle of acidity and oxygen was formed only when the principle was combined with caloric or heat (Levere, 2000). The optimal goal is that these networks will contribute to safer roads and more effective in the future by providing timely information to drivers. They are therefore vulnerable to many types of attacks. Many proposals have been proposed to secure communication in VANETs. In this paper; we propose an approach to adopt a new method of distributing certificates in VANET. In Our proposal the cluster head acts as a virtual CA and issues certificates to cluster members. The main objective of our approach is to avoid making a new certificate request in case a node passes from a cluster to another. Holden Caulfield s The Catcher Of The Rye It is evident that the protagonist, Holden Caulfield suffers from depression due to the death of his younger brother, Allie in The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Due to Allie s death, Holden s actions elicit his own views of the world and the phonies around him. Holden has tunnel vision to living a simple, happy life and isolates himself from those around him who understand the concept of growing up. Salinger uses a hat, a museum, and a merry go round to illuminate Holden s emotion, the notion of adulthood, and the reality of growing up. Sigmund Freuds psychoanalytic theory and the studies of Ego, Superego, and Id are used to show the significance of Holden s behavior in The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. The unconventional hat that is in Holden s possession symbolizes his wish to hold onto the simplicity of childhood and separate himself from the phonies that surround him. The hat also comforts Holden in the aspect that it holds onto his brother s childhood that was lost due to his premature death. Holden is terrified of growing up due to the fact that it leads to the phoniness of adulthood. It is justified throughout the novel that Holden believes no one acts how they truly feel; and it is hard to trust and be trusted. The hat offers Holden quite a lot of protection (213). After recording a documentary for the band Elastica, they suggested she go into the music industry. Rather than just make music, Arulpragasam wanted to make a statement that would be impacted politically, socially, and culturally. She sings about third world countries and issues, specifically Sri Lankain her album Arular. Arulpragasam drew from the discrimination she experienced while hiding with her family during the Sri Lankan Civil War and the horror of the massacre of the Tamil people. Arular, pushes important notions about a third world that has no voice in a first world indie music platform. Arulpragasam issues her mission statement Pull up the people, pull up the poor , defining war in the simplest of terms: You no like the people they no like you/Then they go set it off with a big boom (Thornburgh). • 19. Hydraulic Jum Experiment Report It is observed that the conjugate depth ratio of both the recorded and theoretical results increases uniformly with the increase in the Froude number for all slopes tested. It is also evident from the graphs that as the upstream Froude Number increases i.e. moves toward more supercritical flow, the ratio of the D2/D1 i.e. ratio of the downstream depth to the upstream depth also increases. It is also evident from the graphs that approximately 97% to 100% of the calculated results all lie within the В± 10% of line of best fit for each curve. As well, each of the graphs verifies a strong positive linear relationship between the dimensionless jump height and the upstream Froude Number. These results imply that a more supercritical upstream flow in D1, will produce a larger downstream depth, D2, and thus a larger hydraulic jump. The results of the experiment confirm the following relationships a. D2/D1 1, the depth increases across the jump so that D2 D1 b. F2 1,downstream flow must be subcritical c. F1 1,upstream flow must be supercritical It is observed that length of the jump Lj/D2 ratio also increases with increasing F1 values exponentially. However it must be noted that it is difficult to derive a purely theoretical expression for the Jump length which at the present moment is done by comparing experimental data using statistical methods. We planted corn seeds to see what phenotype they would result in and record the data. Using statistical analysis, we determined the expected and observed color of the stalks. There were some green and white. The ratio we tested was 3:1, a monohybrid cross. This means the dominant trait is present 3 times, and the recessive only one (NDSU 2000). The objective of this study was to compare our expected and observed phenotypes between corn plants. Methods Our methods were fairly simple. To make sure our results were accurate, we used three plant pots to plant our seeds. We labeled the pots with our names and their cross numbers. Filling the pots with soil, we made sure it was damp and not wet by squeezing the soil out and packing it in the pot about half way. Then, we planted five seeds and spread them out, so they had room to grow. Lastly, we covered the seeds with more soil, also packing it lightly but tightly. After the plants grew, we examined and determined that our hypothesized ratio was 3:1 with a sample size of 38. Our phenotypes were green and white. The culture has entered everywhere from TV commercials to toys, video games, and also fashion industry. I predict that hip hop music is here to stay because that s the only way a hip hop artist can convey their story without being arrested. Hip hop is here to stay because, inequality among poor people, injustice and police brutality that hip hop music is protesting against still exist in American today. Hip hop groups like Public Enemy and N.W.A. during the late 80 s and early 90 s made determined efforts to deal with an attitude of sensitivity toward and sense of responsibility regarding injustice and problems in society. Among the expanding population, the limit of potatoes was scarce, and in the event of something as serious as the blight, the dependency became higher which led some people to emigrate or starve (O Brien 103). At this time, about forty percent of the entire potato crop was ruined, so the dependency began to grow stronger, and people began to make decisions on what to do because of the overpopulation and scarce food sources (Newsinger 2). The main cause for why Ireland was hit so hard during the spread of the blight was because of the over populated areas in certain parts of Ireland. The Famine in Ireland was based on several circumstances which occurred within the Country. Another cause was the dependency on the potato which resulted from the over population. Since potatoes were grown by a considerable section of the population, this caused such a dependency that other citizens concentrated on Irelands agricultural growth of grains. He published two famous book called Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experiences , where he describes life in the eyes of the innocent and of the experienced. In 1789 Blake published The Lamb in Songs of Innocence. I was very pleased when I first read The Lamb because it was an easy poem that just gives you a relaxing feeling. It also relates to many of my personal views of God and his son JesusChrist. A sonnet is a poem made of 14 lines, The Lamb is made of only 20 lines. The Lamb is organized into two stanzas. The first stanzastarts with Little Lamb, who made thee? and ends with Dost thou Know who made thee? . The second stanza begins with Little Lamb, I ll tell thee and concludes with Little Lamb, God bless thee! . The two stanzas are important because the first stanza asks a question about who created the lamb and in the second stanza it give the response that God created the lamb. This poem does rhymeand has a rhyme scheme of AA BB CC. AA is represented with thee and thee, BB is feed and mead, and CC is delight and bright.
