the mannose as a selection agent in our transformation experiments. Nine different
concentrations and combinations of mannose and sucrose in shoot regeneration
medium were used to evaluate the effect of mannose on the organogenesis of non
transformed tobacco leaf explants (Fig. 2). After 3 weeks cultivation, we found that
no explants produced shoots on media without any tested carbon source (Fig. 2A).
When cultivated on 30 gl 1 sucrose (0/30), 100% of the tobacco leaf explants
regenerated. The organogenesis response decreased progressively when mannose
concentration was increased in the shoot regeneration medium. A decreasing
selectivity of mannose was also seen when 5 gl 1 sucrose was supplemented to the
selection medium. Results show that the inhibitory effects of mannose increases with
decreasing sucrose concentration in the medium, indicating an interaction between

Feed s overt criticism of a decline in literacy reflects current fears about technology
and our minds (McDuffie 147). Feed portrays a sense of warning rather than a
sense of hope for the future. Everyone in this society has a chip inserted into their
brains that essentially feeds them all of the information that they will ever need,
hence the title of the novel. Communication occurs primarily through feeds

because a large part of it is situated on a floodplain.
What are floodplains?
Floodplains are landscapes that are formed when running water, often in streams
and rivers, transports eroded rock and other similar materials from their banks to a
lower part of the Earth s surface. At these lower parts, the flow of water slows down,
and the rock and materials that the water is carrying are dropped.
This leads to the creation of deposital landforms. One of these landforms is the
floodplain.
Floodplains are nearly flat, hence the plains part of their name. The flood part, on the
other hand, should be pretty obvious these floodplains are subject to periodic flooding.
What happens on floodplains?
Flooding occurs when water overflows from a stream or river. When the water levels
become too high, the water flows out of the stream channel and over the stream

Last Sunday morning, my group and I visited Quan Am, a Vietnamese Buddhist
Monastery in Memphis. Walking in, we were first gestured in the room where we
would perform the ritual. The room was made up of rows of mats and pillows to sit
on, with English chant books on the left, and Vietnamese ones on the right. These
mats and pillows faced an ornate collection of brightly colored statues and artwork
in the front. At first one of the monks told us to open the chant books (there were

The rhythmic chants put me in a sort of trance; by focusing on the musicality of
the words and saying them with a group of others, I focused on the chants only,
blocking out all other topics. I had a bit of trouble focusing during the meditation
session, as I had trouble staying comfortable and still, but I still enjoyed it
somewhat. We did several chants, a few of which related to teachings that we
learned in class, but the most memorable one was the one line that we were

taken Adderall, 14 answered Yes; they would recommend it to a fellow student.
