While visiting the Dallas Museum of art I saw many pieces of art and many different names of
the artist. Some of the artist I recognized and even more that I didn t. One artwork that I found
very extraordinary was The Guitarist by Pablo Picasso 1965. It s a unique oil on canvas
painting that has dimensions overall of 76 x 38 3/16 in. (1 m 93.04 cm x 96.98 cm). The
Guitarist is located under European Art 20th Century on the 2nd level. It is apart of The Karl
and Esther Hoblitzelle Collection and was gifted by the Hoblitzelle Foundation. This fine art has
many remarkable qualities to be discussed, more than just it being created by Picasso. Such as
him almost always making artwork with an intent for the viewers to interpret the deeper meaning.
He I able to do this by incorporating elements of art and principles of art in order for us to decipher

Nearly 200 years ago, after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, slavery was no longer
allowed; but America was still segregated. Segregation in many public places continued especially
in the South. At this time, segregation was legal. In 1892, the Supreme Court had ruled that a state
could separate whites and blacks as long as the services were equal. On May 4, 1961, a diverse
group of thirteen courageous individuals known as the Freedom Riders embarked on a bus journey
into the South in order to challenge segregation in bus terminals. Although many individuals

be recognized through the works of Buster Keatonand Charlie Chaplin. Less prominent are the
interconnected relationships among Mack Sennett, the producer and director responsible for first

I did not look at the price, and then when i went to check out, i was shocked at how much they
cost. They were about $8.00. I bought them anyway and then i went back to see how much the
normal potatoes cost, which was $3.00 . That is a huge difference. I am fortunate enough to be
born into an upper middle class family, but what about those who aren t? I know families in
homeless shelters (i volunteer every year, Bergen County s Point In Time in the homeless shelter
in hackensack) who wish they could feed their children that was good for them but they cannot,
simply because they cannot afford it. I might become a locavore in the future, when I m able to
live on my own and have my loans paid off.
In all, i feel that we, as americans should change something about what we eat. I feel that if we
stop buying genetically modified food, then maybe someone will listen. Maybe, just maybe,
farmers will hear our calls and answer them. I understand that this takes a lot of guts to do so and
it may affect our pockets, but it may be worth it in the long run. Organic food is always healthier for

The American dream, an aspiration of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller
for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement , is a cherished
ideology in the hearts of Americans. ( The American Dream, What Is The American Dream? ).
Although the American dream dogma is presented to be accessible to all individuals, obstacles and
barriers such as financial and social differences, specifically with gender inequalities, limit the ease
and simplicity in which such a dream can be achieved for that area of people. Unfortunately,
many of these discriminations still exist today. Even more so with women in the work
environment, such issues serve as prevalent matters located within their own personal American
dreams. The workplace, an atmosphere fostered upon the daily relationships that employees
experience, serves as a central foundation for teamwork, human interaction and employee affairs.
Therefore, it is vital that all employees, especially women, be treated equally regardless of their
gender. Common barriers and differences women face are socially and financially focused. In this

especially full time employees should get health care. The opposition to this is that aside from
Starbucks no large employer gives health insurance to part time employees due to high costs of
