Taking a Look at Illegal Software
I think, if you say that I have not ever got involved theft, you should think once more. You know,
nowadays, all people can use the Internet easily. Especially, we dowload a lot of programs from
the Internet. When we click on a site for dowloading programs, you can see so much
advertisements which have free programs. However, there is someone who endeovors for these
programs. In our day which nobody gives a thing nearly without expecting something in return,
do you think that these programs are free? Certainly,it is not. It must be a provision of these
services because engineers who design a software may spend months. But some of people sell
these labours at own site by stealing. Of course, they are thieves, however who are we using these
illegal programs? Most often, unconsciously, we may be included to this crime. However, this
does not change our offence. In fact, using illegal software damages in three different ways. These
are damages which are doing to person by oneself , are doing to the goverment budget, anda re
penalties.
Firstly, I want to explain damage which offender do on one s own. Illegal programs are dowloaded
for cheap, however we have to spend more our corrupted computer when we dowload these
programs. Because softwares which are bought are harmful for computer, also they may include
virus. Therefore, suddenly, you may be faced with erased files which are important for you. For
instance, you prepare a lot of files for important meeting for days.

Frankenstein Parent Child Relationship
Importance of Parent Child Relations Many people are raised without a mother or father and end
up seemingly normal, but they might not be as well off as they seem. The percentage of children
younger than 18 living with two parents has decreased dramatically over the last 40 years
(Collins). This shows that increasingly more children have to get by with only one parent, changing
the way they may act later on in life. It is represented in the books Hamlet by William
Shakespeare and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley that children are modeled after their parents,
meaning parents need to give all the help they can. It is also true that mothers are more confident
when in a relationship and will raise their child better (Collins). This proves that couples... Show

According to the article The Importance of a Father in a Child s Life by Stef Daniel, in matters
of substance abuse, depression, behavior problems and psychological maladjustment the love of
a father plays a significant role (Daniel). The article Daughters and Their Dads: The Vital
Relationship by Bill Muehlenberg states girls who grow up without fathers were 53 percent
more likely to marry as teenagers, 111 percent more likely to have children as teenagers, 164
percent more likely to have a premarital birth, and 92 percent more likely to dissolve their own
marriages. (Muehlenberg). There are countless more reasons as to why fathers need to spend
more time with their children. If Hamlet s father had been kinder and a better father, the horrible
tragedy that took place would have never happened. Likewise, if Frankenstein hadn t left his own
creation to fend for itself, it may not have risen to take revenge on him. These are fictitious
examples but can still be translated over into real life

Purpose Of The Disability Voting Rights
Purpose of the Disability Voting Rights Paper
This paper argues the disabled communities do not enjoy full voting rights to participate in the
political system. There are several political factors that explain why the concerns of the disabled
communities have largely been ignored or not adequately addressed. The Committee of Seventy is
an organization with strong political influence over the elections held every year in the City of
Philadelphia, PA. The organizational enjoys a great reputation among local politicians, CEOs, and
other socially affluent residents of the city. It is important to acknowledge the disabled
communities have limited voting rights. People with disabilities face stigma and discrimination that
may discourage some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Need for Strategic Change
The Committee of Seventy has successfully implemented a civic reform strategy in the City of
Philadelphia. The residents of Philadelphia desire equal voting rights. The gerrymander system
controls districts throughout the city. Both Republican and Democratic parties have acknowledged
gerrymandering strategies help them protect districts (Persily, 2007).
The gerrymander system is a primary strategic tool. The strategic planning can help address the
problems created by the gerrymander system that limit voting rights and result in controlled
elections (Byrson, 2010). The disabled communities are often invisible under the gerrymander
system because both political parties focus on race and age, and this is true in the City of
Philadelphia as well. The voter turnout tends to be low among the members of the disabled
communities assuming other factors including the demographics are constant (Schur et al., 2002).
The Voting Rights Act Re authorization in 2006 didn t help much as the voter turnout, whether
measured by state or racial group, still declined (Persily, 2007). The electronic Absentee Ballot
forms also discourage political engagement by the disabled communities. The use of strategic tools
by both parties further limits the political participation by the disabled communities. The research
literature has identified several reasons why people with disabilities may have trouble driving to the

President Gerald R. Ford
Introduction
Gerald Rudolph Ford Jr. was the 38th President of the United States. Born in Omaha, Nebraska,
Ford went from being a son of divorcees to the leader of a nation.
Childhood
Gerald Ford was born on July 14th, 1913 in Omaha, Nebraska. His birth name was Leslie Lynch
King Jr., after his father. Ford s mother, Dorothy Ayer Gardner King, left King roughly two weeks
after his birth. Oddly enough, Ford did not know about his biological father until he was 17.
Dorothy then moved with her son to Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1916, she married a paint
salesman named Gerald Rudolph Ford, who adopted her son. Leslie Lynch King Jr. was then

Ford did not die an unaccomplished man. Even in his early years, the man achieved many things. In
high school, Ford was a member of the honor society and both the All City and All State football
teams. Even before his presidency, the man was involved in politics. This started in 1940, when
he participated in Wendell Willkie s presidential campaign. Later, Ford and fraternity brother
from the University of Michigan, Philip A. Buchen, set up a law partnership in the place he
grew up: Grand Rapids, Michigan. During World War II, Ford joined the Navy, serving in the
South Pacific and holding the rank of lieutenant commander. In 1948, Ford became a member of
Congress, which he was a part of for 25 years. Later on, in 1965, he served the role of House
minority leader. Even after his presidency, Ford was active in politics. He went to hundreds of
colleges and universities to speak about issues such as foreign policy, Congressional relations,
and federal budget policies. In 1979, Ford released a memoir called A Time to Heal: The
Autobiography of Gerald R. Ford. In 1981, the Gerald R. Ford Library and the Gerald R. Ford
Museum were dedicated. Ford went to conferences at both of these places and would discuss
various political subjects such as German reunification, relations with the Soviet Union, and
national security. One year later, Ford established the AEI World Forum. This was a gathering of
prominent world leaders and business executives to discuss issues impacted by political and

Negative Effects Of Andrew Jackson
Throughout the history of the United Sates, presidential actions have impacted the nation in
varying degrees. One such example includes the 7th president, Andrew Jackson. With his victory
in the Election of 1828, Jackson s presidency brought about both positive and negative effects
that affected various groups in distinct ways. Therefore, several perceived him as a national
hero, while others saw him as a villain, and a few were ambivalent about what to think of him.
Finally, the effects that resulted from his actions have marked American history politically,
socially and economically. Jackson s Presidency has had a positive effect on American society.
For instance, one of his accomplishments included the expansion of rights for the common men.
As seen in Document One, Thousands and thousandths of people, without distinction or rank,
collected in an immense mass round the Capital... This shows how for the first time, the
common men was allowed to the presidents inaugural address, which was a big political step for
them as they previously didn t had this privilege. Moreover, another action taken by the president,
which was regarded as an act of heroism by the poor individuals, was Jackson s decision to veto
the national bank. Jackson believed that the bank provided an exclusive privilege of banking and
concentration in the hands of a few men (the rich), and was leaving the poor in oblivion. For

The Importance Of Birth Tourism

Assignment Two Every parent has the best intentions when It comes to their family. They will
do the impossible in order to provide their children the best way of life and education they can
obtain. Most people who immigrate into the U.S. have to start their life over from scratch.
While others come in with visas and are able to pay thousands to have a place they can call
home throughout their pregnancy. Those types of families are known for birth tourism, or
coming into the U.S. 1 to have anchor babies. The U.S. is the land of all opportunities and for
people who were not born here might wish that they could have a chance to live the American
dream. Which is why the U.S. is popular for birth tourism to occur in because of the practice of
birthright citizenship (Will F. G., 2010 ). The areas that are most popular with birth tourism are
California and New York, California having the most activity. One of the reasons why California
gained popularity was because one of the medical centers in Chino Hills made national news
(Grant, p. 166). Birth tourism is mostly practiced among the Chinese, Taiwanese and Turkish
nationals. However, Chinese has been the most increasing over the years. One of the many reason
why the Chinese increasingly participate in Birth tourism is because, in China they have a strict
one baby rule among families. So, most of them come to the U.S. 2 to give birth to more

Essay on Civil Liberties, Habeas Corpus
Civil Liberties, Habeas Corpus, and the War on Terror

Civil Liberties, Habeas Corpus, and the War on Terror have all played a role throughout history.
Throughout history, the motivation of man s self interest has concluded in the domination of those
with little or no power in the absence of the rule of law. The war on terror presents an
unpredictable challenge for the United States since terrorists are apprehended and deprived of due
process. Habeas corpus is considered to be one of the most fundamental guarantees of personal
liberty that we cherished as a country since the inception of our Constitution. However, debates
have arisen regarding the proper ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a feature of common law, the right of Habeas corpus reflects the age old contest between
individual and the state. Habeas corpus empowers the individual in holding accountable the
exercise of the states power to influence liberty. Our founding fathers were well aware of the
Magna Carta, and its astonishing abilities to be something great especially James Madison who
was the primary architect of the American Bill of Rights. Greatly influenced by the potential of the
agreement, James Madison began his own interpretation. James Madison borrowed heavily from
Article 39 of the Magna Carta which limited the legislative power. Madison was a key player in
growing that particular article into the Bill of Rights. It was through Magna Carta and our founding
fathers interpretation of that article that the American courts used and still use today when
interpreting the rights of enemy combatants. (Halliday, 2011) September 24th 1862 Lincoln issued
a proclamation suspending the writs of Habeas corpus nationwide and specified whose rights
would be suspended. All traitors and rebel militias against the U.S. shall be subject to martial law
and liable to trial and punishment. (Longley, 2012) In 1866 after the American Civil War had ended
the Supreme Court officially and fully restored Habeas corpus throughout the entire nation. That
would not be the first time a

Life Insurance Benefits
When it comes to the life settlement industry, the viatical settlement industry brought it to fruition.
The people who originally took out life insurance were those suffering from terminal illnesses
like AIDS and cancers who only may have had a few years or so to live. Those who sold their
insurance policies were looking for a way to get an immediate return in monetary value from
someone who had purchased the policy from them. When medical breakthroughs in the fight
against the AIDS virus took place, many seniors were left high and dry having to pay extremely
expensive insurance premiums on new policies. Many terrible companies also cheated many senior
citizens out of large sums of money by making fraudulent promises of further investment on... Show

When it comes to life insurance, attorneys, financial planners and trust officers are just a few of
the many people that you can talk to. These people are here to help you make a better choice
since they know all of the rules and regulations of the life settlement industry. The biggest part of
life settlements is gaining a large return on your policy. If you plan on doing this all by yourself,
this can be almost impossible. Standard market value is what many brokers are searching for
when it comes to the right life insurance. Brokers have the uncanny ability to acquire multiple
bids from different sellers that you otherwise might not be able to obtain. Getting the most value
for you policy means putting up one bid against the others. Many times, your medical history
must be given in order to secure a great bid. If you are looking for a quick way to make a large
sum of money late in your life, then life insruance might just be the right way to go. Issues like high
premiums, employment issues, medical issues and bankruptcy can all lead you toward life
settlement. While the concept of life settlement sounds great, you should still take the time to visit

The Truth in Negotiations Act
The Truth in Negotiations Act was passed on December 1, 1962 requiring government contractors
to submit cost or pricing data if the procurement met specific requirements in order to establish that
the offer is fair and reasonable. The history of The Truth in Negotiations Act will set the stage for its
significance in the twenty first century. Prior to World War II, the United States government
conducted its bidding process for procurementin an open bid environment. What was required for a
bid was a complete description of the requirement, two or more suppliers capable and willing to
complete the requirement, a selection based on price competition and sufficient time to prepare a
complete statement of the government s needs and terms.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net
...
It was contended by GAO that the government s negotiator would be in a better position to
establish an equitable price if contractor cost data were made available. (Maddox, 2013)
In 1959, the United States Air Force took the beginning steps of implementing a process that was
based on the Government Accountability Office s recommendation. This process required
certification of contractor cost data, as recommended. The Department of Defense followed the
example set by the Air Force by issuing a revision to the Armed Services Procurement Regulations
to require certification of cost data.
The Truth in Negotiations Act has the purpose of insuring that the government is receiving a fair
and reasonable pricing, essentially helping to prevent defective pricing and allowing the
government to be able to get set retributions for defective pricing. This is something that is solely
found in the world of government contracting, as there is nothing similar to it in a commercial
environment. A potential supplier will have to supply the government with a certificate of current
cost or pricing data.

For my final project, I chose to research (Africa) Nigeria. Nigeria, Africa s most populous
country, is composed of more than 250 ethnic groups; the most populous and politically influential
are: Hausa and the Fulani 29%, Yoruba 21%, Igbo (Ibo) 18%, Ijaw 10%, Kanuri 4%, Ibibio 3.5%,
and Tiv 2.5%. British influence and control over what would become Nigeria and Africa s most
populous country grew through the 19th century. A series of constitutions after World War II
granted Nigeria greater autonomy. After independence in 1960, politics were marked by coups and
mostly military rule, until the death of a military head of state in 1998 allowed for a political
transition (CIA, 2012).
Nigeria s culture reflects and represents all of the multiple ethnic groups. In Nigeria there are over
521 languages and over 250 ethnic groups and dialects. Out of all the groups, there are four really
large groups. The four groups are Hausa and Fulani predominant from the north, Igbo predominant
from the southeast and Yoruba predominant from the southwest (en.wikipedia.org). Nigeria, a

Essay On Attractiveness Of Jaguar
An analysis of the attractiveness of the luxury car industry with respect to Jaguar, based on Porter
s Model of The Five Forces of Competition.
Although India is a developing country, in the last few years due to economic crises, the country
has been facing numerous challenges. Despite the situation, very recently it has been
acknowledged that the Indian market has seen as increase in the demand for luxury items
specially Luxury Cars. Another fact to be considered is that the demand of such cars is not only
increased in Tier I cities but also in Tier II and Tier III cities. In view of this shift in buying
preferences, global luxury car brands like BMW, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and
Lamborghini and others now have their eye on Indian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the most significant barriers comprises the brand equityenjoyed by most established brands.
The repute of the brand is extremely important to customers; luxury brands such as Jaguar,
Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi have a long and magnificent history to boast about, and the
companies work hard to preserve the association between them and other symbols of individuality
and of top notch quality and performance.
Although several Asian companies have developed new luxury brands to compete with the
traditional European and American brands, it is extremely difficult for challengers to match the
prestige of brands with years of history.
Another challenging barrier to entry is the huge initial investment required to enter car markets in
general. Large amounts of capital are required to set up manufacturing facilities and invest in R
D, among other large expenses. This also creates large sunk costs and makes it hard to achieve
economies of scale. The capital requirements are one of the main reasons why new luxury brands
have been produced by companies which were already present in the market as large car
manufacturers (Toyota s Lexus and Nissan s Infiniti) and not by new, free standing,

The Treatment Of Heart Transplant Essay
Background
Heart transplant have grown to be a therapeutic strategies for patients with heart failure, and
respectively offers improved quality life and survival. Many various techniques have been used to
ensure safety and survival of pediatric patients, however in the case of rejection, death rate have

immune system respond by attacking the transplanted organ as it detects it to be foreign (virus or

Although diagnosis have been procured, endomyocardial biopsy seems to be a standard method to

been considered by most researchers to improve rejection after heart transplant in pediatric patients.
These are immunosuppressive, surgical techniques, transplant selection, and postoperative care.39
Hence, with respect to plausible rejections in pediatric patients after heart transplant, outcomes,

History Of Marketing And The Marketing Strategy
The history of marketing can be traced back to the longest possible time probably further than you
thought. It will not be an exaggeration to say that it is as old as civilization itself. The probability
of success of any business lies in the marketing strategy it adopts. Simply put, if you are not
marketingyour business, you are in for a loss. While this concept remained unchanged, the ways of
marketing have changed several folds over the last few centuries.
1450 1700 Printed Advertisements Appears

Implications Of Technology Dependence
With more developments being made with technology, it is easy for one to depend on it. Some
causes of technology dependence are that parents are failing to set a good example for their
children because they are letting technology have control over them, parents can use a
technological device to stop a childfrom crying or having a tantrum, and overall, it is a social norm
to have a technological device. With a PhD. at the Mark Hatfield Clinical Research Center and
National Institutes of Health, and writer of TechnologyDependence and Health Related Quality of
Life: A Model, Susan F. Marden is credible when illustrating that technological dependence is a
reliance of a variety of devices. Because technological dependence can negatively affect the quality
of one s life, especially the life of a young child, it is important to stress the fact that there are causes
to why adolescents are forming these habits of dependence. Many parents are caught up with the
advancements of technology and use technology as an outlet for undergoing stress and
responsibility of their child. Marden states that the major components of technological dependence
include attitude towards technology dependence and symptom distress (Marden 1). This
dependence is taking a toll on the life of adolescents because it allows them to tune out of live
action than benefitting their healthy development, which is why their use of technology should be
monitored or not even introduced until a later age.

A Summary On The Film The Night
Over the colossal castle, the spherical star above leaned cautiously. The noose eclipsed the sunlight;
relentless guards grabbed their attention of every creature which had clinking chains glued to their
soiled feet. Led by enslaving chains; the mist blew through the ashen compound. As dejected
hostages babbled helplessly, faint whimpers deafened the abominable scene. Masking beats of
drums pursued every hesitant shuffle.
Anxiously, the morose hostages scuffled onwards; they limped in desperation onto the wooden
deck. The inmates blistered, wounded soles struggled. Wrapping it around the peasant s bony neck,
scraping away at the remaining skin, the ruffian beast grabbed the noose. Mercilessly, he grasped
the corroded lever and heaved it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The atmosphere created a faded glow that crept behind them. Their vacant eyes had such a vivid
blue in life that made the others afraid to see what they looked like after death. Their luminous and

would be pale, dreary corpses which are discarded.
A clammed breeze lifted the cinders from the gallows, shrouding the atmosphere in a copper haze.
The silver coin reflected with its qualities of molten riches; weathered by its eternal existence, it
sat in the diminutive palm of his hand. The relic glistened in the sun. With apprehensive energy,
his eyes coruscated as a celestial voice broke out of him; the ruthless executioner yanked the
defenceless child onto the wooden barrel, putting a noose around head as it swallowed it whole. As
he sang, he reflected on his mortal life; knowing it would vanish briskly. The adolescence, timid
boy s soul poured past the rotten, blanched ground which flawed into the emotions of the aghast
crowd. Just then, death was roused. Dubiously, the vigorous executioner marched behind him,
wondering what raised his feeble audacity.
Surrounding him, there was an aura of ashen charcoal; a state of abasement that he couldn t see
himself through. It was a world of obscurity; the glossy glint he had revealed. His melancholy,
colourless eyes spoke of his depraved anguish.

The Problem Of Reckless Driving
In the United States, Reckless driving is the number one cause of teenage death in the nation.
Reckless driving can be classified as anything from speeding and swerving, to purposely trying to
run someone over, or hurt them while driving. In America, there are countless organizations calling
to help end the high death rate in teenagers that reckless drivingtakes. People such as Parents,
Drivers Education Instructors and even state legislators have realized the problem and are
seeking reform. In 2011 alone 2,650 teens between the ages of 16 19 were killed due to reckless
driving. (CDC) Reckless driving is a death that is very preventable, with proper education and
warning. As well as problem that is not taken seriously by the juvenile s committing the act.
Most juveniles don t worry what so ever about dying in a car crash because they think that it won
t happen to them. Under Reckless Driving, in Green Bay, speeding, not paying attention and lack
of caring are three of the biggest issues with teen drivers and juveniles. In Wisconsin, Reckless
driving is classified under state statute 346.62 as causing bodily harm, or Great bodily harm.

Chemical Castration Essay
A Critical Analysis of the Effects of Chemical Castration and Physical Castration on the Recidivism
Rates of Sex Offenders
Introduction
This paper examines the effects of chemical castration and physical castration on the recidivism
rates of sex offenders.
Using theory integration or the multifactor approach, the findings reveal there are several factors
influencing sex offender recidivism. Both chemical castration and physical castration have the
potential to reduce the recidivism rates of sex offenders by lowering testosterone levels,
diminishing sexual urges, and making sexual urges more controllable if the sexual urges are
motivated by increased testosterone levels. Based on theory integration, most sex offences ... Show

Chemical castration has been studied for the last twenty five years, however, due to the newness of
legislation in the
United States, there have not been many long term research projects involving the effectiveness
of chemical castration in reducing sex offender recidivism rates completed in the United States.
However, one such study by Meyer, Cole, and Emory published in 1997 looks promising. The
study compared recidivism rates of 40 convicted sex offenders treated over a period of years with
medroxyprogesterone and psychotherapy, with recidivism rates of offenders who refused
medroxyprogesterone therapy but received psychotherapy and found that only 18% receiving
medroxyprogesterone re offended, while 35% of those not receiving therapy re offended. Physical
or surgical castration is the removal of the testes and replacement with prostheses in order to reduce
testosterone production, therefore, diminishing sexual urges and making behavior more
controllable. Sex offenders can opt to have surgical castration; however, it is not mandated by state
legislatures in the United States. As with chemical castration, there has not been extensive or long
term research on the use of surgical castration to reduce the recidivism rates of sex offenders in the
United States. According to Robert Prentky (1997), surgically castrated sex offenders show
significantly improved recidivism rates as

Contextual Theory Of Interethnic Communication Theory
The distinction of the differences or similarities between the communicator and conversational
partners can influence whether they chose to engage in association or dissociation. These
dissimilarities and resemblances help to shape our perceptions of each other. Through the analysis
of ethnic proximity, ethnic distance, shared goal structure, separate goal structure, and personal
network integration, the situation layerof Kim s Interethnic Theory will be explored.
A Contextual Theory of Interethnic Communication As conceptualized by Young Yun Kim, the
interethnic communication theory describes the multifaceted layers and factors in communication
event. Described as an open system, interethnic communication occurs between communicators and
their interactant(s) who possess characteristic similarities or differences in terms of their ethnic or
identity markers (Kim, 2005). There are four layers to her theory: behavior, communicator,
situation, and environment. All of these layers contribute to how the communicator and their
interactant decides to interact, whether it is associative or dissociative. This paper will focus on the
situation layer. Implanted between the environment and communicator layer, the situation layer
represents the interethnic encounter itself (Kim, 2005, p. 334). Essentially, it is describing the
interaction between the communicator and their conversational partner(s). In this context, the
communication can take form in many ways (e.g., verbal,

Examples Of Racism In Huckleberry Finn
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is not a racist novel, nor is Mark Twain a racist author. As
Leopold Von Ranke said, You have reckoned that history ought to judge the past and to instruct
the contemporary world as to the future. The present attempt does not yield to that high office.
It will merely tell how it really was . The past had different norms and etiquette than today, and
Twain was merely putting the reader into the perspective of those times. One can t judge the
past and judge Twain s use of the word because in those days, the word was accepted, and not
exactly racist . The novel was a satire on slavery and racism, that, as well as raising social
awareness, was also one of the best American novels of all time. Huckleberry Finn... Show more

In order to put the reader into the perspective of the past and teach them how blacks used to be
treated, he had to use intense language and make harsh comments. Today, people have
exceptional knowledge and have been introduced to racism and what is considered wrong to
mention . So the readers of Huck Finn today jump to the conclusion that Twain is racist because
the simplest [things] cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded
that he knows already, without a shadow of a doubt, what is laid before him (Leo Tolstoy).
People already have a strong sense as to what racism consists of, so Twain comes off as a racist
right away by using remarks that people have been taught their entire life are racial
remarks.Twain introduced Jim as a comical, uneducated runaway slave, which most people took
offense to. The silly behavior of Jim is common for characters in historical satires, which is most
likely the reason for Twain s choice of Jim s appearance to the audience. Jim is described to the
readers as [trustworthy] to the point of gullibility. These qualities are not altered during the
course of the novel; instead, they are fleshed out and prove to be positives instead of negatives
(CliffNotes). Even though Twain depicted Jim as gullible, it shared the trustworthy and friendship
Jim had in Huck. It proved later in the book as a helpful tool, and played a key part in Jim s

Essay On Manchu
The Current Situation and Protection of Manchu
The Manchu is the language of the Man people (also called Manchu people) originated in
northeast China. Manchu was one of the official languages together with Chinese in the Qing
Dynasty (1644AD 1912AD). Due to its own demerit in expressing and other social political
reasons, nowadays there is only less than 100 people that still take Manchu as their native language.
Measures have been taken by the government and scholars to save the language from extinction.

Manchu belongs to the Altaic family Tungusic Languages. According to Guo (2004), Manchu is the

Sleep Disturbances And The Multifactorial Nature Of Insomnia
Age Related Changes. The previously discussed models and hypotheses are important in
understanding the foundation of sleep disturbances and the multifactorial nature of insomnia.
However, it is imperative to also acknowledge the age related changes that effect sleep
architecture and sleep patterns in older adults. The medical field has defined individuals over the
age of 65 as elderly, and those over the age of 75 as geriatric. Many changes involving how sleep is
initiated and maintained occur throughout the lifespan. Subjective inquiries reveal that older adults
on average report spending more time in bed, but less time sleeping, waking more often throughout
the night, earlier wake times, more frequent napping, and taking longer to... Show more content on

Implications
Combined, the foundational models and hypotheses of insomnia along with the age related changes
in sleep architecture contribute to the understanding of the consequences and implications
chronic insomnia in older adults. While sleep disturbances in older adults are often considered a
normal part of aging, there are associated with reduced quality of life, increased healthcare
utilization, institutionalization, as well as a risk factor for poor mental and physical health
(Galimi, 2010; Krishnan Hawranlik, 2008). Insomnia in older adults can lead to disruptions of
sleep in their caregivers, resulting in the decision of institutionalization of an elder. Furthermore,
chronic insomnia can precipitate psychological distress and is associated with difficulties in
attention, slower response times, diminished cognitive abilities, daytime sleepiness, and impaired
memory (Hildalgo et al., 2007). These factors combined can increase the risk of falls, fractures,
and driving accidents in the older adult. Insomnia as a risk factor for falls serves as a strong
predictor of long term care placement (Hill, et al., 2007).
Physical and psychological health implications of chronic insomnia in the older adult contribute to
a decreased quality of life. There is substantial evidence that suggests insomnia is an independent
risk factor for the onset and maintenance of major depression disorder (Pigeon Perlis, 2007).

How to Build Dynamic Team Cohesiveness

requires that the team members enjoy working together and does so cohesively, productively, and

They communicate well among themselves and well with other teams in the company. Conversely,
almost all problems preventing a team from operating cohesively are related to poor
communication. Misunderstandings and assumptions can create chaos within a team.
Communication is vital to successful team building. Managers who oversee teams should
encourage their workers to communicate regularly with each other. The manager should promote
interaction amongst his team members. It is easy for a team that sits together to interact. However,
it is much more difficult if they are not based in the same location. The manager should use regular
events to bring his team together. This can be done through team meetings, status and progress
updates, or social events. Events outside work can especially help the team get to know each other
and foster positive working relationships. When the manager schedules a team meeting, it is
important for all team members to actively engage during these meetings. Synergy on teams is
achieved when team members feel comfortable speaking up with suggestions that build on the
creativity of other team members. If the manager is the only one communicating and dominating
the meeting, this can limit the chances of a team achieving real synergy. All team members should
feel encouraged to have input into their jobs. Encourage employees to make suggestions about

There are two source of data I found online as follows.
Firstly, the budget to initiate RapidRide service is $215 million (2010 2011 figures). Of this
total, $50 million is for corridor and roadway improvements, $28 million for passenger facilities,
and $7 million for the real time information signs. The majority of the budget is the $128 million

other potential upgrades to the corridors such as improving pedestrian and bicycle access within

It shows that RapidRide ridership makes up almost ten percent of the overall system ridership
while being 21 percent cheaper to operate per rider.
For the E and F line starting from 2014, the budget is relatively lower than the beginning.
Comparing the two lines, the extra cost of new buses on the E Line is offset through lower
roadway/communication/TSP costs and passenger facilities. This is likely because SDOT and
Shoreline have already done most of the work to prepare signals for TSP along the corridor by
upgrading signal controllers and cabinets, which is necessary for various component of the
RapidRide ITS system to operate. (Parast 2017) E LINEF LINE

b.) There will be a shortage created. Initially the public might be happy about the price ceiling,
but soon after the sellers will begin to ration the graham crackers based on other factors since the

A Summary Of Truman Vote By Truman Capote
Although Truman Capote writes this narrative to tell about a murder, he must first describe and
enhance the victims to elaborate on their history; therefore, Capote enhances just how senseless
crimes can be.
Capotes tactic is driven by his empathy towards the event of the wronging that took place at the
Clutters house, he utilizes amplification to magnify how senseless the true crime was and to
describe the significance. Capote was much more focused on the development of the characters. He
draws the audience s attention to the Clutter family, specifically their positive characteristics
especially Nancy Clutter, Where she found the time, and still managed to practically run that big

The Community Service Organisations Cover Services For A...
Community service organisations cover services for a wide range of clients from homeless
youth or adults, aged care and disability, unemployed people and more. Whichever type of client,
legislative requirements will impact the ways employees and organisations interact with its
clients. Employees will need to know legal requirements relevant to the type of service provided.
All workplaces are required to follow regulations and legislations: Occupational health and safety
This protects the health, safety and welfare of all people at the workplace. OHS laws in Australia
are guided by Common and Criminal laws. Ohs law require employers and employees to be
responsible for their own health and safety as well as the health and safety of clients too whom staff
provide services. All staff must follow instructions and training, such as manual handling and
treatment of hazardous substances. They must use the supplied personal protective equipment and
report hazards, incidents and injuries that occur, immediately. Privacy and confidentiality: This law
affects how personal information is collected, used and shared with others. It dictates how
information must be treated while being held and how it is destroyed. Only information that is
relevant to a client s treatment or care can be obtained. The act does not allow an organisation to
sell or pass on information without written permission from the client. There is however a few

Lexus Research Paper
Most people know Lexus as a Toyota s luxury branch. They make luxury cars comparable to those
made by prominent names in Luxury like Mercedes, and out sell them. Granted Toyota makes
cheaper cars than most of their competitors in any market, that is how they have been the number
one seller for so long (though their throne was taken by Volkswagen this year). Now Lexushas taken
an important step, they are trying to innovate ahead of their competition with their Hoverboard;
code name: SLIDE.
Ironically, their hoverboard does not actually slide. In their promotional video Ross McGouran
does grind a rail momentarily. However, I am sure that was only accomplished because the rail was
designed specifically for that. Unless a ramp led directly up to the rail (as it did in that skate park),
that would never be possible, because the board is exceedingly heavy and incapable of a traditional

Lexus used a superconductor, a technology that won the nobel prize when it was discovered 20
years later by Heike Kamerlingh Onnes. Another 20 years went by before it was discovered that
the superconductive state also repels magnetic fields. This budding old technology allowed SLIDE
to float on 3 4 inches of a magnetic field while achieving zero fiction (other than air resistance).
What makes the feat impressive, is that it was a fantastic proof of concept for superconductive
technology, which could be pivotal for many industries. Arx Pax had envisioned using their eddy
currents to save buildings in case of earthquakes and other disasters. Their website has quite a few
suggested uses; superconductivity could make all of those processes more efficient. The problem
thus far is the price, there is much more of an established infrastructure for eddy currents to take
advantage of, making the technology momentarily more

The Louisiana Purchase Affected The Boundaries Of The...
The Louisiana Purchase affected the boundaries of the U.S. because when Jefferson bought the
land, the boundaries were not clear. Spain claimed the border was about one hundred miles west
of the Mississippi River, while Jefferson was under the impression that it was around eight
hundred miles further west, which was defined by the crest of the Rocky Mountains. This lead to
four different government funded expeditions. The first was in 1804 when Lewis and Clark led
an expedition westward to determine the upper reaches of the Missouri River. Throughout the
expedition Lewis and Clark were instructed to study the Indian culture, such as plants and animals.
They were able to explore the Indian culture when they stayed their first winter in huts beside the
Mandan Indians. Without the help from the Indians they would not have survived the winter.
They also had to draw out the geography of the West. After the treacherous journey, they reached
the Pacific Ocean on November 7, 1805. They made their journey back to St. Louis and arrived
back in September 1806. The other three expeditions that took place between 1804 and 1806 were
to determine the southwestern border. The first group went down the Red River to the Ouachita
River, ending in current day Arkansas. The second group went west into eastern Texas along the
Red River and the third group ended up going too far into the Spaniard s Territory, which caused
them to get arrested and then released soon after. The Adams Onis treaty

A Knights Tale Analysis
During the Medieval Era, their was not much to do for entertainment besides watch the
tournaments that were held all over Western Civilizations. In modern times, many people know
what jousting and sword fighting are but not like the way A Knights Tale show them. This movie
was made in 2001 and was soon a crowd favorite. The modernization of a dark age era gave the
audience entertainment through action, love and comedy. The tournaments were very exciting
during this era, specifically the 14th century. This movie had many mixed reviews between
historians and regular movie goers. There are a lot of great aspects of this movie but also many
critiques historically. The movie is a portrayal of the Medieval games which helps a more modern

was not trying to win awards for historical accuracy (Alverez). Helgeland took what many people
call a dark period in history and made a film to entertain the audiences, as well as stick to
historical aspects as he went. Although there were a few questionable sense that went on, the
film does do a great job of informing the modern movie watcher what the medieval tournaments
were like. Yes, modern rock music is play, therefore the audience could be expanded to everyone,
not just history buffs. Many people will say that this movie is far from historical accuracy. In
Vivian Sobchack s writing she says that the history is solidly grasped and allow us a place, a
general premise, a ground from which to transcend our present and imagine the past as once
having real existential presence and value (Sobchack 1). The setting the audience is placed in
during this movie gives the movie watcher new experiences and the ability to see history with their

The Congress for New Urbanism and Environmental Awareness
In the last two decades the New Urbanism movement has begun among planners, designers, and
builders. Though it does not provide complete solutions to many of the environmental problems
caused by human development, it shows a greater awareness of the undesirable and potentially
destructive tendencies exhibited by conventional methods of design, planning and construction.
Robert Davis, board chairman of the Congress for the New Urbanism, describes the problem of
urban sprawl and development.
For five millennia, we have built towns and cities with strong centers and clear edges, beyond
which lay farms and forests and lakes and streams. For five decades these clear edges have ... Show

The Congress for New Urbanism is an organization composed of builders, planners, and designers
dedicated to setting up a formula for future development and the betterment of existing
communities. By addressing the problems of disinvestment in central cities, the spread of placeless
sprawl, increased separation by race and income, environmental deterioration, loss of agricultural
land and wilderness, and the erosion of societies built heritage (http://www.cnu.org/nunjuly98.html)
they plan to reinvest in current urban centers and towns by restructuring the expanding suburbs into
more traditional communities. As a part of the solution, The Congress for New Urbanism created
the New Urbanist Charter. Within the charter consideration is given to both conservation and
preservation of the natural environment. Specifically, the charter states that development patterns
should not blur or eradicate the edge of the metropolis. Infill, development within existing urban
areas, conserves environmental resources, economic investment, and social fabric, while reclaiming
marginal and abandoned areas. Metropolitan regions should develop strategies to encourage such

Papua New Guinea
People in Papua New Guinea used stone tools in 1960 while in America we were able to shop for

other countries such as the Fertile Crescent. Europeans had Fertile Crescent (Eurasia) that let them
conquer other cultures and take their supplies. Eurasia had the agriculture, domesticated animals,
the immunity for germs and the steel.
Geographic location affects what crops a civilization can grow and how they develop because of

Important Values In Life Essay
There are things more paramount than money in life. There are some who live their lives with
nowhere to call home. Dreaming of having a place to sleep and victual with. There are some
who live their lives, kenning that the next day they won t be able to arouse. Hoping they get to
stay alive another day to enjoy the warmth of the sunshine on their face, to smell the made
breakfast, and to be salubrious again. And there are those who live their lives with no family,
dying to ken how it would feel to be part of a family. Some people never experienced having a
family. Some people, including kids, could never stay salubrious. There are those who never
experience, having a home. I believe that there are three very important values in life that we should
be thankful for and they are: home, health, and most importantly a family.
Firstly, having a home is something that everyone needs.Have you ever lived on the streets? I m
conjecturing no. Well, let s say if you think everyone has a place to call home, you are erroneous.
For example, as you sit on a couch and do whatever you do, there are some who never sat on a
comfy couch or even had a place to call home. It is an arduous task to do, for on rainy days they
don t have a place to stay dry at. Adding on to that, you can get sick on cold rainy days. This
doubles the situation of not having a roof for sometimes those illnesses can lead to death if you are
not remedied immediately. Plus, I m sufficiently certain that no one is

Self-Identity And Self Identity
Self identity is molded as a young age, but continues to change as we get older. This is
something that we all do not realize. During a person s lifetime many of us pause to think what
influence a person s identity. What makes us the individual that we are? I would say that it is
our home, where we live with our parents and siblings. Why do we have trust in certain things?
Why do we believe the way we do? I would say it is based on the way we were taught and raised
a set of opinions that have been instilled in a person since they were young. I would say that their
three great influences in my life that makes me who I am today my parents, my religion and my
culture. Upbringing it has molded me into who I am today. Since I was growing up my parents
taught me about showing respect to everyone especially our superiors. My parents always taught
us that being a good citizen in your community always identifies the individual as a good person.
My parents taught us that when two adults are having a conversation to never interrupt. When
someone was talking and if you needed to walk through you would say excuse me. Never
stealing what does not belong to you. Helping a person out when they do not have a place to
stay. How to have patience with other people and learning that sometimes the best thing to do is
just to be quiet. An example I can say that I went through as I was growing up I was 10 years old
when we had several family members move in to live with us and this is where

Justice John T. Clarke s Views On Judicial Appointments...
Unlike the other branches of government, the Constitution is largely silent on judicial qualifications
and the nomination process of judicial appointments other than stating that justices should exhibit
good behavior and are confirmed with the advice and consent of the Senate. Thus, tradition
largely dictates judicial nominations and the nomination processes that follow. The need for a
judicial appointment can occur when a sitting justice dies in office, choses to retire because of
old age or for disability reasons. Clare Cushman in Courtwatchers provides examples of other
justices in the past resigning to pursue other political ambitions. During the nineteenth century,
some justices had no qualms about campaigning for political office, either secretly or openly,
while still on the bench (pg. 229). Chief Justice John Jay is a prominent example of political
ambitions when he was elected governor of New York. Others have stepped down to pursue peace
like Justice John H. Clarke did when left in 1922 to lobby the United States to join the League of
Nations. When a judicial vacancy occurs, the Presidents and their advisors consider factors such as:
geographical, religious, racial, or gender representation a candidate would bring to the Court,
political ideology, qualifications, and whether the nominee would change the ideological balance of
the court among others. Of these factors, political ideology is the most important factor during the
nomination and confirmation

Mental, Physical And Body Aspects
Human behavior has been analyzed over time, along with conditions that have been put into
perspective, about mental, physical and body aspects. These aspects of a human being are very
important for normal functioning of a person in society. When one s mental thought process is
affected, proper reasoning is not possible, and in turn the behavior becomes erratic. One such
condition that is directly connected to this mental situation is psychosis. Apart from affecting the
mental condition, it also affects the sensory and cognitive abilities.
Psychosis is defined as a disorder that causes one to have experiences that are out of touch with
reality. According to Von (2010), this is not a disease, but just a clear symptom of a mental illness.
Psychotic people have a tendency to have untrue thoughts, or are deluded and they have
hallucinations. Von (2010) goes on to explain that these symptoms are uniquely divided into
positive and negative results. Different psychotic disorders are categorized on the basis of the
duration, bizarreness of the delusions and the intensity of mania or depression. Non affective
psychosis tends to have negative symptoms, longer duration and bizarre delusions, while affective
psychosis has fewer negative symptoms that are related to bipolar disorder (Von, 2010).
A mental health professional can only recognize psychosis in a client by observing major changes
in their behavior. These changes are such as the abrupt loss of interest in activities that one

Literary Elements In The Mysterious Stranger By Mark Twain
Mark Twain s The Mysterious Stranger is a novella featuring the experiences three young boys
have with a supernatural creature named Satan. Mark Twain, whose writings had begun to reflect
the darkness that resided in his mind, attempted several versions of the story and died before it
was finished. His editors took over and wrote the rest before it was finally published in 1916.
Possessing literary elements of strong narrativestructure, unique setting, complex characterization
and dark romanticism, this narrative made for an engrossing and peculiar account of Satan. These
elements are furthermore crucial to the analysis and deeper understanding of what exists within the
text.
Narrative structure is the foundation for a story; it provides the framework and how the text is
presented to the readers. In The Mysterious Stranger, Twain takes his audience to the winter of
1590 in the Austrian village of Eseldorf. Three boys, Nikolaus, Seppi, and Theodor have multiple
encounters with a handsome, stunning creature named Satan, who claims to be an angel. They
are amazed at all the magic Satan is capable of and the stories he tells them, and the boys become
very quickly attached. They find themselves witnessing the work of Satan as he alters the villagers
lives, such as the Priest, the astrologer, Ursula and Marget, and even Nikolaus. While his work
seems to always end in disaster, he gives a plethora of excuses to soothe the boys minds.
Throughout the story, Satan constantly brings

Barbara Kingsolver s The Posionwood Bible
The Posionwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver, tells the story of the Price Family. Nathan Price,

to hang onto the image she has of herself, a need to preserve some aspect of the privileged teen

The Lion King And Hamlet Comparison Essay
The circumstances from the film The Lion King are similar to that of Shakespeare s play entitled
Hamlet. Creators of Walt Disney s The Lion King were inspired by the theme of conflict between
Claudius and his nephew Hamlet. Simba and his uncle Scar represent a famous struggle for power.
The connections between The Lion Kingand Hamletdisplayed a recurring and timeless event
throughout the centuries. The influences of claudias brother s power, money, and life make
Claudias angry. He is just like a villain trying to get what he wants, but cant obtain the throne.

Laertes doesn t know why Hamlet was not charged with any crimes because of this. Although
Hamlet wanted to kill Claudias to get revenge for his father s death, king Hamlet. Laerters and
Claudias work together on a plot to kill Hamlet. Claudias tells Polonius to spy on Hamlet.
During this affair Hamlet acts rough with his mother Ophelia. She then cries out for help and so
does Polonius. Hamlet mistakes Poliniuses voice Claudiases and kills him. Essentially, what
Claudias is doing is putting people like Polonius in bad positions so that his son Laertes gets
mad and wants to kill Hamlet. Since Polonius was Laertes father he now wants revenge from
Hamlet. Showing love to Laertes, Claudias arranges a fencing match between the two. The goal
of this fight is to make it seem that Hamlets death was an accident. This shows Claudiases
struggle for power because this will give Claudias the power he wants in the throne. This quote
states, In the play, Hamlet is introduced as a troubled man in deep depression. He was mourning
the death of his beloved father and his mother s marriage to his uncle. In Act 1 Scene 2 Claudius
gives Hamlet a speech to try and get him to stop bringing up his father, probably fearing that the
more the late King was talked about, or remembered, the more likely people were to look into his

The Impact of Nazi Rule on the People of Germany between 1933 and 1939 Whether the Nazis
made a negative or positive impact on the people of Germany, they most defiantly made one. In
making a decision on what this was I will look at all of the aspects of their aeon, and examine
them. The bad parts of Nazi sovereignty are obvious: there abominable policies concerning
minority groups, their way suppressing the people by removing their rights, using violence and
threats and so forth, however it must also be pointed out that there were good parts of their reign
which included increased quality of peoples leisure time and improvements in the economy. One

However it would appear to me that it was not entirely impossible for workers to rebel, but factors
that made them better off ie money deterred them from it they were getting a little in return for
their loss. The attack on unemployment also changed a number of things for German men. It can
be said that Nazis greatly reduced problems of unemployment as from when they gained power in
1933 to 1939 unemployment dropped from 6014000 right down to 302000. This looks good on the
surface but underneath shows up a number of faults. Numbers of unemployment were most
certainly improved upon but this was mostly due to rearmament, compulsory military service (this
took 1300000 off unemployment registers), people making weapons equipments and scientist
developing food and material substitutes. This was not essentially a long term solution to
Germanys problems but the impact it had was to give men money and food, which at that time was
what they needed. Equally it was men s partners/partners to be which were affected. Women found
themselves influenced in numerous ways, one of which was marriage. In 1933 the law for the
encouragement of marriage was introduced newly weds were given a 1000 mark government loan,
encouraging them to have children. Not long after in 1934 the ten commandments for choice of
partner was established. This meant that ideal Aryans were encouraged to marry

Especially, we dowload a lot of programs from the Internet. When we click on a site for dowloading programs, you can see so much advertisements which have free programs. However, there is someone who endeovors for these programs. In our day which nobody gives a thing nearly without expecting something in return, do you think that these programs are free? • 4. Frankenstein Parent Child Relationship Importance of Parent Child Relations Many people are raised without a mother or father and end up seemingly normal, but they might not be as well off as they seem. The percentage of children younger than 18 living with two parents has decreased dramatically over the last 40 years (Collins). This shows that increasingly more children have to get by with only one parent, changing the way they may act later on in life. It is represented in the books Hamlet by William Shakespeare and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley that children are modeled after their parents, meaning parents need to give all the help they can. It is also true that mothers are more confident when in a relationship and will raise their child better (Collins). This proves that couples... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to the article The Importance of a Father in a Child s Life by Stef Daniel, in matters of substance abuse, depression, behavior problems and psychological maladjustment the love of a father plays a significant role (Daniel). The article Daughters and Their Dads: The Vital Relationship by Bill Muehlenberg states girls who grow up without fathers were 53 percent more likely to marry as teenagers, 111 percent more likely to have children as teenagers, 164 percent more likely to have a premarital birth, and 92 percent more likely to dissolve their own marriages. (Muehlenberg). There are countless more reasons as to why fathers need to spend more time with their children. If Hamlet s father had been kinder and a better father, the horrible tragedy that took place would have never happened. Likewise, if Frankenstein hadn t left his own creation to fend for itself, it may not have risen to take revenge on him. These are fictitious examples but can still be translated over into real life ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Purpose Of The Disability Voting Rights Purpose of the Disability Voting Rights Paper This paper argues the disabled communities do not enjoy full voting rights to participate in the political system. There are several political factors that explain why the concerns of the disabled communities have largely been ignored or not adequately addressed. The Committee of Seventy is an organization with strong political influence over the elections held every year in the City of Philadelphia, PA. The organizational enjoys a great reputation among local politicians, CEOs, and other socially affluent residents of the city. It is important to acknowledge the disabled communities have limited voting rights. People with disabilities face stigma and discrimination that may discourage some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Need for Strategic Change The Committee of Seventy has successfully implemented a civic reform strategy in the City of Philadelphia. The residents of Philadelphia desire equal voting rights. The gerrymander system controls districts throughout the city. Both Republican and Democratic parties have acknowledged gerrymandering strategies help them protect districts (Persily, 2007). The gerrymander system is a primary strategic tool. The strategic planning can help address the problems created by the gerrymander system that limit voting rights and result in controlled elections (Byrson, 2010). The disabled communities are often invisible under the gerrymander system because both political parties focus on race and age, and this is true in the City of Philadelphia as well. The voter turnout tends to be low among the members of the disabled communities assuming other factors including the demographics are constant (Schur et al., 2002). The Voting Rights Act Re authorization in 2006 didn t help much as the voter turnout, whether measured by state or racial group, still declined (Persily, 2007). The electronic Absentee Ballot forms also discourage political engagement by the disabled communities. The use of strategic tools by both parties further limits the political participation by the disabled communities. The research literature has identified several reasons why people with disabilities may have trouble driving to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Negative Effects Of Andrew Jackson Throughout the history of the United Sates, presidential actions have impacted the nation in varying degrees. One such example includes the 7th president, Andrew Jackson. With his victory in the Election of 1828, Jackson s presidency brought about both positive and negative effects that affected various groups in distinct ways. Therefore, several perceived him as a national hero, while others saw him as a villain, and a few were ambivalent about what to think of him. Finally, the effects that resulted from his actions have marked American history politically, socially and economically. Jackson s Presidency has had a positive effect on American society. For instance, one of his accomplishments included the expansion of rights for the common men. As seen in Document One, Thousands and thousandths of people, without distinction or rank, collected in an immense mass round the Capital... This shows how for the first time, the common men was allowed to the presidents inaugural address, which was a big political step for them as they previously didn t had this privilege. Moreover, another action taken by the president, which was regarded as an act of heroism by the poor individuals, was Jackson s decision to veto the national bank. Jackson believed that the bank provided an exclusive privilege of banking and concentration in the hands of a few men (the rich), and was leaving the poor in oblivion. While others come in with visas and are able to pay thousands to have a place they can call home throughout their pregnancy. The U.S. is the land of all opportunities and for people who were not born here might wish that they could have a chance to live the American dream. Which is why the U.S. is popular for birth tourism to occur in because of the practice of birthright citizenship (Will F. G., 2010 ). The areas that are most popular with birth tourism are California and New York, California having the most activity. One of the reasons why California gained popularity was because one of the medical centers in Chino Hills made national news (Grant, p. 166). Birth tourism is mostly practiced among the Chinese, Taiwanese and Turkish nationals. However, Chinese has been the most increasing over the years. One of the many reason why the Chinese increasingly participate in Birth tourism is because, in China they have a strict one baby rule among families. Throughout history, the motivation of man s self interest has concluded in the domination of those with little or no power in the absence of the rule of law. The war on terror presents an unpredictable challenge for the United States since terrorists are apprehended and deprived of due process. As a feature of common law, the right of Habeas corpus reflects the age old contest between individual and the state. Habeas corpus empowers the individual in holding accountable the exercise of the states power to influence liberty. Our founding fathers were well aware of the Magna Carta, and its astonishing abilities to be something great especially James Madison who was the primary architect of the American Bill of Rights. Greatly influenced by the potential of the agreement, James Madison began his own interpretation. James Madison borrowed heavily from Article 39 of the Magna Carta which limited the legislative power. Madison was a key player in growing that particular article into the Bill of Rights. It was through Magna Carta and our founding fathers interpretation of that article that the American courts used and still use today when interpreting the rights of enemy combatants. (Halliday, 2011) September 24th 1862 Lincoln issued a proclamation suspending the writs of Habeas corpus nationwide and specified whose rights would be suspended. All traitors and rebel militias against the U.S. shall be subject to martial law and liable to trial and punishment. • 11. Life Insurance Benefits When it comes to the life settlement industry, the viatical settlement industry brought it to fruition. The people who originally took out life insurance were those suffering from terminal illnesses like AIDS and cancers who only may have had a few years or so to live. The Truth in Negotiations Act The Truth in Negotiations Act was passed on December 1, 1962 requiring government contractors to submit cost or pricing data if the procurement met specific requirements in order to establish that the offer is fair and reasonable. The history of The Truth in Negotiations Act will set the stage for its significance in the twenty first century. Prior to World War II, the United States government conducted its bidding process for procurementin an open bid environment. It was contended by GAO that the government s negotiator would be in a better position to establish an equitable price if contractor cost data were made available. (Maddox, 2013) In 1959, the United States Air Force took the beginning steps of implementing a process that was based on the Government Accountability Office s recommendation. This process required certification of contractor cost data, as recommended. The Department of Defense followed the example set by the Air Force by issuing a revision to the Armed Services Procurement Regulations to require certification of cost data. The Truth in Negotiations Act has the purpose of insuring that the government is receiving a fair and reasonable pricing, essentially helping to prevent defective pricing and allowing the government to be able to get set retributions for defective pricing. This is something that is solely found in the world of government contracting, as there is nothing similar to it in a commercial environment. • 34. Sleep Disturbances And The Multifactorial Nature Of Insomnia Age Related Changes. The previously discussed models and hypotheses are important in understanding the foundation of sleep disturbances and the multifactorial nature of insomnia. However, it is imperative to also acknowledge the age related changes that effect sleep architecture and sleep patterns in older adults. The medical field has defined individuals over the age of 65 as elderly, and those over the age of 75 as geriatric. Many changes involving how sleep is initiated and maintained occur throughout the lifespan. Subjective inquiries reveal that older adults on average report spending more time in bed, but less time sleeping, waking more often throughout the night, earlier wake times, more frequent napping, and taking longer to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Implications Combined, the foundational models and hypotheses of insomnia along with the age related changes in sleep architecture contribute to the understanding of the consequences and implications chronic insomnia in older adults. While sleep disturbances in older adults are often considered a normal part of aging, there are associated with reduced quality of life, increased healthcare utilization, institutionalization, as well as a risk factor for poor mental and physical health (Galimi, 2010; Krishnan Hawranlik, 2008). Insomnia in older adults can lead to disruptions of sleep in their caregivers, resulting in the decision of institutionalization of an elder. Furthermore, chronic insomnia can precipitate psychological distress and is associated with difficulties in attention, slower response times, diminished cognitive abilities, daytime sleepiness, and impaired memory (Hildalgo et al., 2007). These factors combined can increase the risk of falls, fractures, and driving accidents in the older adult. Insomnia as a risk factor for falls serves as a strong predictor of long term care placement (Hill, et al., 2007). Physical and psychological health implications of chronic insomnia in the older adult contribute to a decreased quality of life. There is substantial evidence that suggests insomnia is an independent risk factor for the onset and maintenance of major depression disorder (Pigeon Perlis, 2007). Depression and ... To be a team requires that the team members enjoy working together and does so cohesively, productively, and efficiently. The successful team is cohesive because team members work together and share common goals and resources. Production doesn t mean the team members never disagree, but they know how to work through conflicts and resolve conflicts together. Conversely, almost all problems preventing a team from operating cohesively are related to poor communication. Misunderstandings and assumptions can create chaos within a team. Communication is vital to successful team building. Managers who oversee teams should encourage their workers to communicate regularly with each other. The manager should promote interaction amongst his team members. It is easy for a team that sits together to interact. However, it is much more difficult if they are not based in the same location. The manager should use regular events to bring his team together. This can be done through team meetings, status and progress updates, or social events. Events outside work can especially help the team get to know each other and foster positive working relationships. When the manager schedules a team meeting, it is important for all team members to actively engage during these meetings. Synergy on teams is achieved when team members feel comfortable speaking up with suggestions that build on the creativity of other team members. If the manager is the only one communicating and dominating the meeting, this can limit the chances of a team achieving real synergy. Spain claimed the border was about one hundred miles west of the Mississippi River, while Jefferson was under the impression that it was around eight hundred miles further west, which was defined by the crest of the Rocky Mountains. This lead to four different government funded expeditions. The first was in 1804 when Lewis and Clark led an expedition westward to determine the upper reaches of the Missouri River. Throughout the expedition Lewis and Clark were instructed to study the Indian culture, such as plants and animals. They were able to explore the Indian culture when they stayed their first winter in huts beside the Mandan Indians. Without the help from the Indians they would not have survived the winter. They also had to draw out the geography of the West. After the treacherous journey, they reached the Pacific Ocean on November 7, 1805. They made their journey back to St. Louis and arrived back in September 1806. The other three expeditions that took place between 1804 and 1806 were to determine the southwestern border. Unlike the other branches of government, the Constitution is largely silent on judicial qualifications and the nomination process of judicial appointments other than stating that justices should exhibit good behavior and are confirmed with the advice and consent of the Senate. Thus, tradition largely dictates judicial nominations and the nomination processes that follow. The need for a judicial appointment can occur when a sitting justice dies in office, choses to retire because of old age or for disability reasons. Clare Cushman in Courtwatchers provides examples of other justices in the past resigning to pursue other political ambitions. During the nineteenth century, some justices had no qualms about campaigning for political office, either secretly or openly, while still on the bench (pg. 229). Chief Justice John Jay is a prominent example of political ambitions when he was elected governor of New York. Others have stepped down to pursue peace like Justice John H. Clarke did when left in 1922 to lobby the United States to join the League of Nations. When a judicial vacancy occurs, the Presidents and their advisors consider factors such as: geographical, religious, racial, or gender representation a candidate would bring to the Court, political ideology, qualifications, and whether the nominee would change the ideological balance of the court among others. These aspects of a human being are very important for normal functioning of a person in society. When one s mental thought process is affected, proper reasoning is not possible, and in turn the behavior becomes erratic. One such condition that is directly connected to this mental situation is psychosis. Apart from affecting the mental condition, it also affects the sensory and cognitive abilities. Psychosis is defined as a disorder that causes one to have experiences that are out of touch with reality. According to Von (2010), this is not a disease, but just a clear symptom of a mental illness. Psychotic people have a tendency to have untrue thoughts, or are deluded and they have hallucinations. Von (2010) goes on to explain that these symptoms are uniquely divided into positive and negative results. Different psychotic disorders are categorized on the basis of the duration, bizarreness of the delusions and the intensity of mania or depression. Non affective psychosis tends to have negative symptoms, longer duration and bizarre delusions, while affective psychosis has fewer negative symptoms that are related to bipolar disorder (Von, 2010). In The Posionwood Bible, Rachel Price manipulates diction, tone, and selection of detail to fashion her hackneyed teenager voice, which leads to her becoming a paragon of America s ideology throughout the book. Throughout the book Rachel maintained diction that was true to her birthplace. In the beginning of the book, when the Price family just arrived to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not my clothes, there wasn t time, and not the Bible it didn t seem worth saving at that moment, so help me God. It had to be my mirror (299). While the other sisters, focus on the destruction the ants and conditions of their family, Rachel first words are dedicated to her concerns for her mirror. By focusing on the mirror and not her family s whereabouts, she emphasizes her narrow vision which is selfish and supports her obsession with herself and with materialism. The choice of the mirror is on the surface a reflection of her vanity, but could also be considered an attempt to hang onto the image she has of herself, a need to preserve some aspect of the privileged teen that she wants to be. Similarly, America, at the time, spent a great deal of time devoted to their image and ensuring it stood up to that of European countries. In addition to focusing on herself, Rachel also focuses on physical appearance of others. When observing the villagers she says, Children dressed up in the ragbags of Baptist charity or else nothing at all. Color coordination is not a strong point. Grown men and women seem to think a red plaid and a pink floral print are complementary colors. The women wear a sarong made of one fabric, with another big square of a different fabric wrapped over the top of it. Never jeans or trousers not on your life. Bosoms may wave in the breeze, mind you, but legs must be strictly hidden, top secret (43). Rachel often focuses her details on the physical appearances of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The connections between The Lion Kingand Hamletdisplayed a recurring and timeless event throughout the centuries. The influences of claudias brother s power, money, and life make Claudias angry. Laertes doesn t know why Hamlet was not charged with any crimes because of this. Although Hamlet wanted to kill Claudias to get revenge for his father s death, king Hamlet. Laerters and Claudias work together on a plot to kill Hamlet. Claudias tells Polonius to spy on Hamlet. During this affair Hamlet acts rough with his mother Ophelia. She then cries out for help and so does Polonius. Hamlet mistakes Poliniuses voice Claudiases and kills him. The Impact of Nazi Rule on the People of Germany between 1933 and 1939 Whether the Nazis made a negative or positive impact on the people of Germany, they most defiantly made one. In making a decision on what this was I will look at all of the aspects of their aeon, and examine them. The bad parts of Nazi sovereignty are obvious: there abominable policies concerning minority groups, their way suppressing the people by removing their rights, using violence and threats and so forth, however it must also be pointed out that there were good parts of their reign which included increased quality of peoples leisure time and improvements in the economy. One particular group of people who found themselves... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However it would appear to me that it was not entirely impossible for workers to rebel, but factors that made them better off ie money deterred them from it they were getting a little in return for their loss. The attack on unemployment also changed a number of things for German men. It can be said that Nazis greatly reduced problems of unemployment as from when they gained power in 1933 to 1939 unemployment dropped from 6014000 right down to 302000. This looks good on the surface but underneath shows up a number of faults. Numbers of unemployment were most certainly improved upon but this was mostly due to rearmament, compulsory military service (this took 1300000 off unemployment registers), people making weapons equipments and scientist developing food and material substitutes. This was not essentially a long term solution to Germanys problems but the impact it had was to give men money and food, which at that time was what they needed. Equally it was men s partners/partners to be which were affected. Women found themselves influenced in numerous ways, one of which was marriage. In 1933 the law for the encouragement of marriage was introduced newly weds were given a 1000 mark government loan, encouraging them to have children. Not long after in 1934 the ten commandments for choice of partner was established. This meant that ideal Aryans were encouraged to marry ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
