Chockoball s Financial Ratios
One good example of a financial ratio is the net profit margin, which is used to compare the net
income of a business with its net revenue to find out the profit of a specific business earned. This
ratio helps the business to know its profit position compared to other businesses in the same
industry, and also realise if its profitability is growing or decreasing over different periods of time.
Financial ratio analysis is a very important tool in any business; it makes the process of financial
comparison between two or more businesses very easy. Directly comparing financial statements is
not that effective because different businesses have different sizes.

In addition, if we zoom into the Return on Total Assets factor, despite the increase in volume of
sales, TeaserMalts could not achieve the target of 25%. Thus, the strategies introduced by the
company are not worthy enough to reach the target of 25% Return on Total Assets.
The decreased market share has hurt the profitability of ChockoBalls. To calculate the fall of unit
sales for ChockoBalls, we take TeaserMalts sales increase, $15 million, multiplied by 75%. That
brings us to $11.25 million. Therefore, it is calculated that ChockoBalls Future Sales would be $25
million subtracted by $11.25 million, which equates to $13.75 million.
The reduced profitability will gain the TeaserMalts a better market share and will help the product
gain consumers. The non shifting of the consumers will let TeaserMalt survive the market. 75%
decrease in the market will hurt the ChockoBall market share to a great extent. In future, it might be
so where TeaserMalt will make the ChockoBall extinct from the

Fly Away Peter
The novel Fly Away Peter expresses specific attitudes and values by encouraging the reader to
identify with the central character, Jim Saddler. David Malouf, the author, attempts to expose the
brutality of war and encourages readers to realise that one can be living a very sheltered lifestyle
oblivious of the cruelty and negative side of life. In this text dealing with the experiences of Jim
during World War Iand events leading up to his signing up, the author uses biblical allusions,
evocative and sensuous imagery, contrast of settings, metaphors and other characters to aid readers
to establish an identity for the protagonist. It is through his central character that he communicates
his disparaging perspective on war and points out... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jim s childish enjoyment of the episode when he and Clancy run to the engine for hot water, and
his naГЇve admiration for the Pharaoh like grandeur of the war, are reminders of how little he
knows. However the audience shares in Jim s growing horror as we discover what it s really like
when he gets into the trenches. Clancy whom by now the reader has associated with as a lovable
larrikin is blasted out of existence , Eric s legs are torn off and Bob coughs up his lungs. These
ghastly images as witnesses by Jim causes the reader to react in an anti war way. Hence through
contrast of settings Malouf shows his condescending attitude towards war.
Malouf uses poignant metaphors which relate to the central character and delivers his message of
life s meaning even after death. The concluding scene where Imogen is on the beach reflecting
upon Jim s unnecessarily shortened life, the wave is a metaphor for Jim s life. Growing bigger
and higher until ultimately crashing down symbolic of the rising and falling of Jim s life. Like a
wave Jim reached his peak which was death. Also when Jim, running towards the enemy lines, sees
himself a distant slow moving figure withinВ… the long view of all their lives , he is
understanding that life is something that moves relentlessly towards death. here Malouf seeks to
say that we are not divine creatures but instead mortal. We must accept that ultimate change which
is the subject

Sir Richard BransonВґs Influence on the Virgin Brand
Essay Sir Richard Branson is a British entrepreneur. He was born July 18th 1950 in Blackheath,
London. He is known as the founder of the Virgin brand and to be quite the adventurer. The
Virgin brand consists of more than 400 companies and to mention some of those are Virgin
Atlantic, Virgin Galactic, Virgin Trains and Virgin Mobile. He as a person has made several
attempts to break numerous world records. Although he had to try 2 times, he broke the record
in fastest Atlantic Ocean crossing with a boat. He also made a record when he crossed the
English Channel in an amphibious vehicle. In general he is very flamboyant, e.g. he made a
reality show where 16 contestants should do a lot of stunts, which could be to walk a line
between two hot air balloons and business related challenges, in order to win 1 million dollars.
His role in the Virgin brand is very crucial and without there would not be any Virgin brand. He
has taken a lot of chances that many would not take and he has made himself a front figure of
the company, which means that he does all of these events and adventures, not only because he
like to discover the world in an extreme way, he also does it because it gives the company such a
high value of marketing. When he tried to cross the Atlantic Ocean the first time, he failed and had
to be rescued by a helicopter. That event made a huge media coverage all around the world and
pictures of the Virgin Atlantic Challenger, which is the boat where the Virgin name

CSI: How to identify an unknown white powder

Introduction
The Identity of a chemical compound is extremely critical to observe. The identity can lead to
discovering its properties and can aid in its classification. Thus scientist all around the world put
high emphasis on the procedure to identify a compound through the flame test and chemical testing.
Flame test works to identify the cation within the compound, while chemical testing using certain
compounds and acid identifies the anion.
Flame test uses the differences of energy levels of an element. When the flame, from the micro
burner used, excites the electrons in their ground state, the electrons absorb the energy and move to
a higher energy level. Yet since the ground state is preferred, the electrons tend to move down the
energy level and emit the extra energy absorbed. This type of energy is emitted through photon and
wavelength, a characteristic of light. Thus, each element emits a certain type light which can be
used to identify it by consulting a chart with all the documented flame test results. In Particular for
this experiment, the test for ammonia and Magnesium is conducted with the addition of sodium
hydroxide and the observing for the presence of the odor of ammonia for ammonia or precipitate
for magnesium.
The chemical testing uses compounds including acids and alkaline to combine with the element.

How Does Body Art Affect Our Society
Tattoos. Piercings. Colored hair. From the Bronze Age to Egypt, Japan, China, and other countries
the appearance of body art has spread and has found its way throughout the world; brought to
society today from culture, symbolism, and religion in ancient times. Many difficulties reside
around the looks they give off in a place of professionalism. Though in modern day society body art
is becoming more popular and uprising controversy of their presence in a workplace is
becoming more of a problem. Body art is a beautiful way to express yourself and if people with it
cannot show it off without consequences towards their careers is disappointing. A new law
needs to be formed to protect those who have them from getting discriminated against or fired.
For the younger generations are becoming more fond and interested in body art, while the older
generations disapprove this uproar.Within the younger generation known as the Millennials,
early 1980s to early 2000s, are developing our society into one where body art is becoming
accepted. The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology published data showing that in
2006 approximately 24 percent of Americans had a form of body art when back in 1976 it was
only around one percent (Cooke). Also from 2007 to 2012 the number of people that had two or
more tattoos increased, which would make it 13 percent more popular (Tattoos in the Workplace
Statistics). So with body art on the rise and it becoming the new grind, why is it not

The Odyssey, Medea, And Oedipus The King
While our class has been covering different aspects of Greek civilization, I was assigned to read
the literature from that time period. Some examples of the literature I read was The Iliad, The
Odyssey, Medea, and Oedipus The King. These readings show direct relations to the concepts and
ideas that occurred in Greek civilization during this time in history. Some of the recurring themes
throughout these stories are religion, philosophy, and hospitality. Polytheism, fate, and hospitality
towards others are some of the important concepts that were held by the Greeks. The religious views
of the Greek civilization is evident throughout the literature of that time period. The Greeks were
known to have been a Polytheistic people, who believed in multiple gods/goddesses. They
believed these gods constantly interfered with their lives, both in good and bad ways, which is
shown in the literature. Not only do the characters pray or converse with these... Show more content

One important value the Greeks held was hospitality. In The Odyssey, Odysseus travels through
many different places. As he encounters new people, they often welcome him in immediately. In
fact, hospitality was so common that whenever Odysseus encounters the island inhabited by
cyclops, he assumes he is welcome and begins to eat their food and drink. The concept of
hospitality in the literary works connects not only to their civilization in general, but specifically
connects with their religious beliefs. I believe it is possible that the Greeks gave hospitality to
others on behalf of their gods/goddesses rather than just out of kindness. One example of this
would be in the Iliad, where Achilles welcomes in other men such as Odysseus to his hut and
prepares them food. He does this before asking about their intentions. This seems a little weird by
today s standards, as this happened before Achilles had joined their side in

The Death Of Judge Rusty Sabich
Innocent recounts a period, from 2008 2009, in the life of Judge Rusty Sabich. It is divided into
three main sections (pre trial, trial, and post trial) and narrated from several points of view, such
as Rusty Sabich, a judge in Kindle County; Nat Sabich, a law school graduate and the son of
Rusty; Tommy Molto, a Kindle County prosecuting attorney; and Anna Vostic, a law clerk and
Rusty s mistress. However, the overarching story narrative focuses on the death of Barbara Sabich
and the trial of Rusty, her husband, for her murder. The murder trial in Innocent occurs twenty
years after Rusty was tried for the murder of Carolyn Polhemus. Polhemus was an attorney, who
was strangled in her apartment. Also, she was Rusty s mistress. At trial, Rusty was acquitted for
Polhemus s murder and the case was never solved. Another aspect of the book is the appealof John
Harnason, a convicted poisoner, who Rusty has extrajudicial involvement with. Innocent is a
standalone sequel to Scott Turows book Presumed Innocent, which recounts the Polhemus trial in
detail. Innocent opens with the perspective of Nat Sabich and the following lines: A man is
sitting on a bed. He is my father. The body of a woman is beneath the covers. She was my
mother (1). Nat proceeds to report about the death of his mother, Barbara. Essentially, Rusty
wakes on the morning of September 30, 2008 to find his wife dead. He waits for a period of 24
hours before informing Nat and the police. The waiting period leads to

My results were not what i expected, the results I got were a different fungus than I originally

looking. Both the fruits I inoculated were the same fungus, and the first fungi inoculation and
subculture were the same. The fruit had gotten contaminated before I covered them and it changed

Values, Self Confidence And The Feeling Of Belonging
Values give us self awareness, self confidence and the feeling of belonging. They help us make
the right choices and force us to develop integrity. Values show us how to choose between
different priorities and give us an idea of what improvements we need to be made to improve
our relationships with others. When we act with these values they give us credibility, and help
us to know where we stand, and clarify what we will and will not tolerate. We make many
choices daily, some have very minor significance, others of extreme importance, and each one of
these choices we make have a huge impact not just on us, but those around us. Even a very
small decision such as having a burger instead of a salad could effect our health in the long run,
and in result affect the people we love. There are seven values that are absolutely essential for
human survival. The seven include justice and fairness, caring, respect responsibility, honesty,
loyalty and liberty. These seven values play a major role in our lives. Many of us forget these
values that we have been taught. Living in this busy and fast paced world, many us of neglect to
practice these core values. The ethical couture of this world is spiraling downward. We seem to
be focused on ourselves rather than caring about others. I will be describing how these seven
essential values are expressed in my life and some areas that need some work. I strive to be the best

organization I am a part of but the current benefits, and recent issues that I have seen especially in
the perspective as a league director. In this paper, I will continue to examine my strategic plan to
not only become a successful Sports LeagueDirector but to also share some improvements I
proposed to my director and staff and the outcome thereafter. I will also discuss a few ethical
issues and dilemmas in having a sports league organization that I have already noticed and might
face myself in the future. My job was to officiate various sports like softball, and basketball
within my organization while assisting with a few extra tasks and being in an advisory role for
the league director to note of any areas internally that needed development. There are many
factors that contribute to not only an organizations success but an athlete s as well, such as
location of training, physical and mental health, but no variable matters as much as the interaction
that athlete is exposed to, whether it is with a referee, the facility itself or the its other
participants. Regardless of whichever sport, I will one day have to oversee all sports with unbiase

Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra
Not knowing what to expect when I took my seat at the Atlanta Symphony Hall, I was anxious. I
loved hearing any classical music come over the radio for a few seconds as one of my parents
turned the knob on the radio while driving. No matter how hard I wished for the knob to stop
turning, it never did. The only real experience I had with classical musicwas during Music class at
school and the one teacher who played records in her room during quiet times. But this day was
something special. My sister and I were asked to join a small group of teens to attend a concert of
the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra
. The cousin of an attendee would play in the orchestra that
year and I was thrilled to be attending.
We got to our seats early so we could be sure we were in a good location. The instrumentalists
warming up with different sounds and scales all playing at the same time was like listening to the
sounds of nature. Everyone had their own different sound. Everyone was playing something
different. While I was amazed at what I heard, it wasn t until the conductor raised his baton and the

Analysis Of Late Night With Seth Myers-Harvey Weinstein...
The me too hashtag has been used on social media, after many of Hollywood s most famous
actresses came forward with allegations against movie producer, Harvey Weinstein. The hashtag
encourages women and men to speak up about their personal experiences with sexual harassment
to promote awareness. A recent article published by Fortune Magazine addressed how important it
is to have a voice, more than half of all American women 54% have experienced unwanted and
inappropriate sexual advances at some time in their lives . The article states that 33 million U.S
women have been sexually harassed and 95% of maleperpetrators of this type of abuse usually go
unpunished. The video Late Night with Seth Myers Harvey Weinstein Apology conveys a
compelling message. The footage efficiently encourages their audience to be aware of sexual
harassment, be mindful that their actions could be interpreted as sexual harassment and be aware
that if a woman or manis being subjected to sexual harassment that it is their responsibility to
support and assist the victim not the alleged perpetrator. With humor, the women of Seth Myers
writing team convey this message with expectancy violation theory, cognitive dissonance and the
persuasive theory of planned behavior. Although the message conveyed in the video is strong, it
would be more useful if it could reach a broader and more diverse audience through narrative
paradigm, lead member exchange and the artistic proof of logos.

Types Of Multiple Personality Disorder
What is multiple personality disorder? Multiple personality disorder also known as Dissociative
Identity Disorder is a severe condition in which two or more distinct identities, or personality
states, are present in and interchangeably take control of an individual. DID is a disorder
categorized by identity division rather than a creation of separate personalities. The disorder is
not due to the direct psychological effects of a substance or of a general medical condition. DID
was called Multiple Personality Disorder until 1994, when the name was changed for a better
understanding of the condition. Multiple personality disorder fails to integrate several aspects of
identity, memory, and perception in a single multidimensional self. Generally, a prime identity
carries the individual s given name and is passive, dependent, guilty and depressed. When in
control, each personality state, may be experienced as if it has a different history, self image and
identity. The secondary characteristics including name, age and gender, vocabularies, general
knowledge, and main mood, differentiate with those of the prime identity. Certain situations or
stressors can cause a particular personality to develop. The various identities may deny awareness
of one another, be critical of one another or seem to be in an open struggle. Causes of Multiple

Narrative Essay On Dementia
Who are you? This is a question I have heard ever since I was sixteen years old, and not from
strangers on the streets, from my very own mother. I was a teenager when my mother originally
developed Alzheimer s and then later, dementia. I can still recall the first time she ever asked me
that question. It was springtime, I know that because I had just come home from softball practice. I
had yet to take even five steps into the house when a shriek rang out. Who are you? My mother,
Elizabeth, yelled so loudly it attracted the attention of my father. I could do nothing else but stand

Julia? What s wrong? My father Thomas asked after entering the room. I think I just forgot my
own daughter, my mom answered for me. I am extremely sorry Julia. I don t know what happened.
Of course, no one in our family knew what was going on. We were all just bewildered as to why
she could not remember who anybody was. Although, it was not like it just happened out of the
blue; the doctors informed us mother s memory had been deteriorating for a long time before the
name incident ever took place. No one thought anything of it when she just forgot her keys or a
bag of groceries out in the car. But of course we observed when she started forgetting who everyone
was. There was even a circumstance of my mother forgetting my younger brother, Timothy, at the
supermarket.
Mother and Timothy had gone to the supermarket for groceries, but when mother returned home
Timothy was not with her. Of course I noticed, but when I asked her where he was she could not
recollect that he had even left with her.

Power And Pleasure Of The Media
Power and Pleasure in the Media.
By Andrew Clements 10185344
Figure 1.
Media plays a significant role in controlling societies thoughts, actions and beliefs through complex
messages and conventions. From the moment we re able to see, think and understand, we interpret
these messages and conventions instinctively. These in tern quite literally shape the way we think,
view or perceive stereotypes or in other words contextualize us. An example of this is evident in
Figure 1, which depicts two infant males, one Caucasian and one with an assumed African
heritage. There are a number obvious differences, the Caucasian child has red cheeks and golden

Secondly, the signified, which refers to the concepts, assumptions and meanings that we, as the
viewer, associates with the signifier. Polysemy is a term to discuss the semiotic theory used during
the analysis. When applied, the signifier and the signified combined create a connotative meaning.
Connotation and Denotation are two principal methods of describing the meanings of words.
Connotation refers to the wide array of positive and negative associations that most words naturally
carry with them, whereas denotation is the precise, literal definition of a word that might be found
in a dictionary. (Anon, 2017)
Culture refers to groups of people who share specific values, beliefs and practices. Different cultural
groups become apparent when they understand the same sign to have different meanings. (Gaines,
2011). These ideologies create the ideals, values and beliefs that shape and govern the way society
thinks, acts and behaves. An example of this is Veganism. Veganism is the practice of abstaining
from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that rejects the
commodity status of animals, therefore, Veganism is referred to as an ideology. This is used around
the media arena, to maintain dominant beliefs, construct ideas and trends to be a natural thought
process throughout society. Ideology is utilised in the media in an attempt to

Persuasive Essay On The Birds
Before the birds had all their wonderful colors they had nothing but black and brown feathers.
They all felt unsatisfied with their feathers and wanted to have their own feathers that were
different. All the birds wanted to stand out from each other and not be the same. So they
wondered what could they do to change their feathers. Jaybird always saw the forget me nots
that were on the outskirts of the forest and desired their colors. Oh how I wish for their
wonderful blue! she exclaimed. So, she formed a plan, she was going roll on the flowers early in
the morning when the dew was still on the petals. The next day came and Jaybird gently lowered
herself onto the ground beside the forget me nots. Everything was covered in a lite dew and as
the sun started to rise everything had a slight shine to it. Her breath was taken away from the
beauty of it all. Focus, she told herself as she turned back to the the flowers. She hopped closer to
the flowers and examined them. They all had similar shades of a soft blue on the petals and the
center a yellow bud. She laid on her back and tucked her wings to her side, then she rolled back
and forth, over and over again. Once she felt that it was long enough she flew to a nearby pond
that everyone gathered at to have some water. She looked down into her reflection but alas, the
color didn t stay on her feathers. All that had happened is that she got pollen on herself. Jaybird,

Romeo And Juliet Film Review
Don t Hang Up Philosophy Philosophy Can Make A Movie
Film: Romeo and Juliet

Reviewer: Claire Ginn
Welcome to VeronaBeach, a sexy, violent other world, neither future nor past, ruled by two rival
families, the Montagues and the Capulets...
So begins Baz Luhrmann s production of Shakespeare s beloved play, quot;Romeo and Juliet, quot;
from the famous opening line of quot; Two Households both alike in dignity.. quot; to the tragic

Lots of music, fast cuts, fantastic cinematography and superb sets and costumes make it the lively
tale it was meant to be. These features also make the film somewhat cartoon like with a lot of
heightened realism. Don t expect to see British people prancing around in tights when you rent this
one. Luhrmann creates a world where gun toting youths sport Hawaiian shirts and beachfront
brawls are an everyday event.
Purists may hesitate, but the film uses its modern setting to its full potential and should be
required viewing for any director who looks to put a modern spin on the 400 year old play.
Capulet and Montague become warring Mafia leaders, the Prince of Verona is a police chief
trying to overcome the violence, and television anchors represent Shakespeare s traditional chorus.
Other, more subtle narrative devices work equally as well. No modern audience could mistake the
significance of the quot;attempted delivery quot; post it that falls off the door, never to be found.
This isn t just an update; director Baz Luhrmann has created a savvy exploitation of the film
medium that assists the audience with Shakespeare s dated language.
Giving the classic play this modern twist makes for a new understanding of the text and brings
the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets to a whole new, dramatic level. Shakespeare
may be rolling around in his grave after seeing this film, but English classes all over the world can
breathe a little easier when it comes time to take

This new sense of hope is also reflected by the now yellowish tone. A new frame from inside the
helicopter reveals a bumpy ride as the camera bumps and vibrates with the helicopter. The first
time the audience members are placed in the boots of a soldier is when a high camera angle is
used to look down on the Red Cross Food Distribution Center through the eyes of S.SGT. Matt
Eversmann (Josh Hartnett). The camera perspective then switches to the ground as a vehicle
carrying armed men is tracked by the camera and follows the people rushing to get food by using
a crane shot. The camera switches to a low angle camera shot to show how desperate the
starving people are for food that they begin to fight each other for it, causing the camera to sway
back and forth. The music changes from an upbeat style to a more guitar fueled rock and roll
style symbolizing the anger felt by the audience and soldiers. On another helicopter flight,
American oldies can be heard, which conveys that this ride is not a serious flight like to one
before. The soldiers are more relaxed and peer out the helicopter door to enjoy the Somalian
landscape. The yellowish tone switches to a greenish tone as the frame changes to show Pfc. Todd
Blackburn (Orlando Bloom) reporting for duty, suggesting that this is a more serious part. The
camera angle shows the soldier behind the desk, checking Blackburn in, is always looking up to
Blackburn. Even though Blackburn is younger, he has a more heroic

Comparison Of Genesis, The Gospel, And Theistic Evolution
Genesis, the Gospel, and Theistic Evolution
Introduction
Humans have asked questions about their origin and their purpose on earth for eons. The Bible tells
humans that God created them and explains their purpose. However, since the Renaissance,
humanism answers questions about origins by naturalistic means and science has been redefined in
the process. Most institutions of higher education and many individuals have adopted the
naturalistic theory of evolution to explain human origin without considering its effects on faith. In
contrast to prevailing thought at Goshen College, a literal six day creation is foundational to the
Gospel message. Combining evolution and Christianity makes one s faith less logical and opens

Some theistic evolutionists prefer to be called evolutionary creationists. Most of the following
arguments against theistic evolution could also be applied to any combination of Christianity and
macroevolution (i.e. bacteria to human evolution), irregardless of its label.
Naturalism or Christianity as a Foundation for a System of Ethics
Theistic evolution meshes two worldviews, naturalism and Christianity, and each worldview lays
a foundation for a system of ethics and morality. Let us first examine more closely the foundation
laid by naturalism. Naturalism deifies chance. Random chance is responsible for life as we know
it. In The Beak of the Finch, evolutionist Jonathan Weiner writes, Natural selection leads to
evolution. He further explains that for natural selection to occur, the organisms most suited to
their environment will survive (1995, p. 128). The best adapted organisms are more likely to pass
on their genetic information while the less well adapted lose out in the great battle of life. Such a
view of origins establishes by extrapolation a moral and ethical foundation. If humans are only
products of chance evolution, they will naturally follow the instincts that have been ingrained in
them for millions of years. They will pass on their genetic information to as many offspring as
possible. Because they have gained great intelligence and

seem quite parallel. Fred is unique, possessing an indomitable spirit to fulfill his dreams without
fear of failure. not only is he the most brilliant young man I have ever met, he exhibits a
genuinely compassionate heart. Sadly, many people may never recognize Fred as the beautiful
individual that he is, or what he has to offer. While our society may call him chal lenged, I have
come to recognize him as an unexpected role model. For Fred, you see, is autistic. He does not

United States immigration policies are designed as deterrents to immigration into the United States.

During World War II, the U.S. and Mexico reached an agreement in which a massive number of
Mexicans would be transported to America as temporary workers in agriculture because of the
anticipated worker shortage created by the war. (6) Of all the labor used in production throughout
the first half of the century, 75 percent is believed to be Mexican. (7) It is obvious then that since
the beginning of the century, the United States has been a source of employment for Mexicans out
of work and it is this attitude which has created the incentive for Mexican migration during the
latter half of the century.
Anti immigrant sentiments felt in America have much to do with this attitude. The fact is that most
Mexicans immigrate to this country in search of employment and of a better life for their children,
as do most other immigrants into the U.S . This is seen as an economic threat by many Americans
because of the large number of Mexicans residing in the United States: 62 percent of the entire
Hispanic population of America as of 1988.(8)
California, which is home to the largest Mexican population in the U.S., has vigorously expresses
its discontent with the current status of immigration. Pete Wilson, governor of California and an

alternatives to traditional deterrent and punitive measures, especially for DV perpetrators I m
interested in the laws and procedures pertaining to DV, including protective orders, visitations for

Stupidity likes to take a shower in the morning. A wave loudly crashing against a shoreline slips

it never wilts. These sentences are ridiculous, right? The way you are feeling right now after

went even farther than nonsensicality and called him a heretic. But, more on that later.
Nestorius was born in Syria in 386 AD, and was a priest and monk in the monastery of
Euprepius. Theodore of Mopsuetia taught him in clerical training in Antioch. His sermons were
so phenomenal that Emperor Theodosius II inaugurated him as Patriarch of Constantinople in
428 AD. Shortly after, Nestorius became involved in two theological factions debating in their
Christology. One side said the Jesus was born as a man, and they called Mary Theotokos,
meaning God bearer. The other side argued that this title of Mary was incorrect because God
could not be born on account of his eternal nature. Nestorius tried to find a middle ground. He

Mood In Shakespeare s Much Ado About Nothing
Much Ado About Nothing is a comedy by Shakespeare about love and misunderstandings
between several characters. Claudio and Hero are in love but Claudio is led to believe that Hero
has been unfaithful while Beatrice and Benedick both love each other but will not admit it. Since
the story is a comedy that deals with serious issues such as infidelity and deceit, the mood shifts
often between positive and negative moods, as shown in my diagram. In the diagram, the closer
the point is to the top, the more positive the mood was during the scene and the closer the point is
to the bottom, the more negative the mood was. While some scenes only had positive moments,
others had both positive and negative. These scenes placement on the diagram reflects the average

which is why these scenes are placed so high. Scene 2 is placed slightly lower than scene 1 because,

Descriptive Essay On A Haunted House
When I walked into the haunted house to explore it. The old porch was creaking I was shaking.
As I walked it the door slammed behind me. I got scared tried to open the door there was no
budge. I ran to the back door of the house it was looked too there was no way I was getting out. I
thought to myself this houseis haunted .
I decided to look around the house and see what it was like. There were four bedrooms, two
bathrooms, A kitchen, living room, and a den. I just figured out there was a up and a down stairs. I
decided to be brave and take a look up stairs. As I walked up the stairs the stairs creaked as i was
shaking scared that I would fall in. BOOM!!!!!!!, a loud noise I hear. The house was so scary I was
feeling very sick I just wanted to get out! There was no way for me to get out I was trapped.
When I went upstairs to look there was a game room and bathroom and a little lap sitting on a
table. I went more towards the lamp. Zoom!!! The lamp slides off the table and hits the wall and
breaks. I run down stairs shaking. I tripped over a loose board. I hit my head on the stairs I felt like
it was the end. After a few minutes I woke up in the basement I was thinking How did I get down
here . Then I looked up and I a little boy was looking at me. He says Are you ok ? I looked at him
yes thanks for helping me. You look scared. Yes I am I came here to explore it. I fell down the
stairs and hit my head as the lamp fell off the table. Sorry about that was my dad

Chockoball s Financial Ratios One good example of a financial ratio is the net profit margin, which is used to compare the net income of a business with its net revenue to find out the profit of a specific business earned. This ratio helps the business to know its profit position compared to other businesses in the same industry, and also realise if its profitability is growing or decreasing over different periods of time. Financial ratio analysis is a very important tool in any business; it makes the process of financial comparison between two or more businesses very easy. Directly comparing financial statements is not that effective because different businesses have different sizes. In addition, if we zoom into the Return on Total Assets factor, despite the increase in volume of sales, TeaserMalts could not achieve the target of 25%. Thus, the strategies introduced by the company are not worthy enough to reach the target of 25% Return on Total Assets. The decreased market share has hurt the profitability of ChockoBalls. To calculate the fall of unit sales for ChockoBalls, we take TeaserMalts sales increase, $15 million, multiplied by 75%. That brings us to $11.25 million. Therefore, it is calculated that ChockoBalls Future Sales would be $25 million subtracted by $11.25 million, which equates to $13.75 million. The reduced profitability will gain the TeaserMalts a better market share and will help the product gain consumers. The non shifting of the consumers will let TeaserMalt survive the market. 75% decrease in the market will hurt the ChockoBall market share to a great extent. In future, it might be so where TeaserMalt will make the ChockoBall extinct from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Fly Away Peter The novel Fly Away Peter expresses specific attitudes and values by encouraging the reader to identify with the central character, Jim Saddler. David Malouf, the author, attempts to expose the brutality of war and encourages readers to realise that one can be living a very sheltered lifestyle oblivious of the cruelty and negative side of life. In this text dealing with the experiences of Jim during World War Iand events leading up to his signing up, the author uses biblical allusions, evocative and sensuous imagery, contrast of settings, metaphors and other characters to aid readers to establish an identity for the protagonist. It is through his central character that he communicates his disparaging perspective on war and points out... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jim s childish enjoyment of the episode when he and Clancy run to the engine for hot water, and his naГЇve admiration for the Pharaoh like grandeur of the war, are reminders of how little he knows. However the audience shares in Jim s growing horror as we discover what it s really like when he gets into the trenches. Clancy whom by now the reader has associated with as a lovable larrikin is blasted out of existence , Eric s legs are torn off and Bob coughs up his lungs. These ghastly images as witnesses by Jim causes the reader to react in an anti war way. Hence through contrast of settings Malouf shows his condescending attitude towards war. Malouf uses poignant metaphors which relate to the central character and delivers his message of life s meaning even after death. The concluding scene where Imogen is on the beach reflecting upon Jim s unnecessarily shortened life, the wave is a metaphor for Jim s life. Growing bigger and higher until ultimately crashing down symbolic of the rising and falling of Jim s life. Like a wave Jim reached his peak which was death. Also when Jim, running towards the enemy lines, sees himself a distant slow moving figure withinВ… the long view of all their lives , he is understanding that life is something that moves relentlessly towards death. here Malouf seeks to say that we are not divine creatures but instead mortal. We must accept that ultimate change which is the subject ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He has taken a lot of chances that many would not take and he has made himself a front figure of the company, which means that he does all of these events and adventures, not only because he like to discover the world in an extreme way, he also does it because it gives the company such a high value of marketing. • 9. Chemistry And Chemical Testing In Chemistry Priya Talwar Chemistry 1411 008, (Group 06 Partners: Esther, Bethany, Sophia) 19 October, 2017 CSI: How to identify an unknown white powder Jiayue Sun Introduction The Identity of a chemical compound is extremely critical to observe. The identity can lead to discovering its properties and can aid in its classification. Thus scientist all around the world put high emphasis on the procedure to identify a compound through the flame test and chemical testing. Flame test works to identify the cation within the compound, while chemical testing using certain compounds and acid identifies the anion. Flame test uses the differences of energy levels of an element. When the flame, from the micro burner used, excites the electrons in their ground state, the electrons absorb the energy and move to a higher energy level. Yet since the ground state is preferred, the electrons tend to move down the energy level and emit the extra energy absorbed. This type of energy is emitted through photon and wavelength, a characteristic of light. Thus, each element emits a certain type light which can be used to identify it by consulting a chart with all the documented flame test results. In Particular for this experiment, the test for ammonia and Magnesium is conducted with the addition of sodium hydroxide and the observing for the presence of the odor of ammonia for ammonia or precipitate for magnesium. The chemical testing uses compounds including acids and alkaline to combine with the element. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From the Bronze Age to Egypt, Japan, China, and other countries the appearance of body art has spread and has found its way throughout the world; brought to society today from culture, symbolism, and religion in ancient times. Many difficulties reside around the looks they give off in a place of professionalism. Though in modern day society body art is becoming more popular and uprising controversy of their presence in a workplace is becoming more of a problem. Body art is a beautiful way to express yourself and if people with it cannot show it off without consequences towards their careers is disappointing. A new law needs to be formed to protect those who have them from getting discriminated against or fired. For the younger generations are becoming more fond and interested in body art, while the older generations disapprove this uproar.Within the younger generation known as the Millennials, early 1980s to early 2000s, are developing our society into one where body art is becoming accepted. The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology published data showing that in 2006 approximately 24 percent of Americans had a form of body art when back in 1976 it was only around one percent (Cooke). Also from 2007 to 2012 the number of people that had two or more tattoos increased, which would make it 13 percent more popular (Tattoos in the Workplace Statistics). • 11. The Odyssey, Medea, And Oedipus The King While our class has been covering different aspects of Greek civilization, I was assigned to read the literature from that time period. Some examples of the literature I read was The Iliad, The Odyssey, Medea, and Oedipus The King. These readings show direct relations to the concepts and ideas that occurred in Greek civilization during this time in history. Some of the recurring themes throughout these stories are religion, philosophy, and hospitality. Polytheism, fate, and hospitality towards others are some of the important concepts that were held by the Greeks. The religious views of the Greek civilization is evident throughout the literature of that time period. The Greeks were known to have been a Polytheistic people, who believed in multiple gods/goddesses. They believed these gods constantly interfered with their lives, both in good and bad ways, which is shown in the literature. Not only do the characters pray or converse with these... As he encounters new people, they often welcome him in immediately. In fact, hospitality was so common that whenever Odysseus encounters the island inhabited by cyclops, he assumes he is welcome and begins to eat their food and drink. The concept of hospitality in the literary works connects not only to their civilization in general, but specifically connects with their religious beliefs. I believe it is possible that the Greeks gave hospitality to others on behalf of their gods/goddesses rather than just out of kindness. One example of this would be in the Iliad, where Achilles welcomes in other men such as Odysseus to his hut and prepares them food. He does this before asking about their intentions. • 12. The Death Of Judge Rusty Sabich Innocent recounts a period, from 2008 2009, in the life of Judge Rusty Sabich. It is divided into three main sections (pre trial, trial, and post trial) and narrated from several points of view, such as Rusty Sabich, a judge in Kindle County; Nat Sabich, a law school graduate and the son of Rusty; Tommy Molto, a Kindle County prosecuting attorney; and Anna Vostic, a law clerk and Rusty s mistress. However, the overarching story narrative focuses on the death of Barbara Sabich and the trial of Rusty, her husband, for her murder. The murder trial in Innocent occurs twenty years after Rusty was tried for the murder of Carolyn Polhemus. Polhemus was an attorney, who was strangled in her apartment. Also, she was Rusty s mistress. At trial, Rusty was acquitted for Polhemus s murder and the case was never solved. Another aspect of the book is the appealof John Harnason, a convicted poisoner, who Rusty has extrajudicial involvement with. Innocent is a standalone sequel to Scott Turows book Presumed Innocent, which recounts the Polhemus trial in detail. Innocent opens with the perspective of Nat Sabich and the following lines: A man is sitting on a bed. He is my father. The body of a woman is beneath the covers. She was my mother (1). Values show us how to choose between different priorities and give us an idea of what improvements we need to be made to improve our relationships with others. When we act with these values they give us credibility, and help us to know where we stand, and clarify what we will and will not tolerate. We make many choices daily, some have very minor significance, others of extreme importance, and each one of these choices we make have a huge impact not just on us, but those around us. Even a very small decision such as having a burger instead of a salad could effect our health in the long run, and in result affect the people we love. There are seven values that are absolutely essential for human survival. The seven include justice and fairness, caring, respect responsibility, honesty, loyalty and liberty. Multiple personality disorder also known as Dissociative Identity Disorder is a severe condition in which two or more distinct identities, or personality states, are present in and interchangeably take control of an individual. DID is a disorder categorized by identity division rather than a creation of separate personalities. The disorder is not due to the direct psychological effects of a substance or of a general medical condition. DID was called Multiple Personality Disorder until 1994, when the name was changed for a better understanding of the condition. Multiple personality disorder fails to integrate several aspects of identity, memory, and perception in a single multidimensional self. Generally, a prime identity carries the individual s given name and is passive, dependent, guilty and depressed. When in control, each personality state, may be experienced as if it has a different history, self image and identity. The secondary characteristics including name, age and gender, vocabularies, general knowledge, and main mood, differentiate with those of the prime identity. Luhrmann creates a world where gun toting youths sport Hawaiian shirts and beachfront brawls are an everyday event. Purists may hesitate, but the film uses its modern setting to its full potential and should be required viewing for any director who looks to put a modern spin on the 400 year old play. Capulet and Montague become warring Mafia leaders, the Prince of Verona is a police chief trying to overcome the violence, and television anchors represent Shakespeare s traditional chorus. The camera perspective then switches to the ground as a vehicle carrying armed men is tracked by the camera and follows the people rushing to get food by using a crane shot. Most institutions of higher education and many individuals have adopted the naturalistic theory of evolution to explain human origin without considering its effects on faith. Let us first examine more closely the foundation laid by naturalism. Naturalism deifies chance. Random chance is responsible for life as we know it. In The Beak of the Finch, evolutionist Jonathan Weiner writes, Natural selection leads to evolution. He further explains that for natural selection to occur, the organisms most suited to their environment will survive (1995, p. 128). The best adapted organisms are more likely to pass on their genetic information while the less well adapted lose out in the great battle of life. Such a view of origins establishes by extrapolation a moral and ethical foundation. I think the reason why my thesis was disproven is because I believed that first born teens would be pushed by their parents to do better in life and let the second born teens slack off. I found that the second born teens actually got pushed a tremendous amount by their parents and also had goals of their own. Specifically, they are driven to do better or achieve more than that of their older siblings. Overall, even though my hypothesis was disproven I learned a lot about the way other second born siblings think and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Dual Degree Program Analysis I am planning to take advantage or the dual degree program available at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). have applied and have been accepted into the University of California, Irvine s Criminology Law Society (CLS) PhD. program. Part of the reason I was so interested in continuing my educationat UCI was the enthusiasm with which the university promotes interdisciplinary collaborations with other disciplines and with community organizations. Previously as an undergraduate at UCI, I had worked researching the issue of domestic violence (DV) in collaboration with the departments of PsychologySocial Behavior (PSB), CLS, and with the Orange County Family Justice Center. In this same spirit, I hope to continue my educational journey. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, given that perpetrators often continue to have a relationship with their children even if the relationship with the parents ends, it s important to help ensure that the perpetrator is not a threat to the children. This is especially true given that studies have found there is some overlap in the occurrence between DV and child abuse. Not surprisingly, my interest in the law closely aligns with my interest in DV. My research focus is restorative and rehabilitative justice alternatives to traditional deterrent and punitive measures, especially for DV perpetrators I m interested in the laws and procedures pertaining to DV, including protective orders, visitations for children, child custody agreements, maintenance agreements, and so on. Although I will be a part of the CLS department, I hope to continue to work closely with the PSB department and the law school, in order to continue gain a more comprehensive understanding of the issues being studied. To fully understand the issue surrounding DV, a working knowledge and familiarity with the laws, policy, and procedures surrounding DV is extremely beneficial. Additionally, the psychological impact to those exposed to DV should also be considered, which is why I hope to continue to work closely with the PSB department. My ultimate goal is to continue to do interdisciplinary research into DV and its effects on those touched by DV. Eventually taking the research on DV into the real world and helping to improve policy, laws, and procedures surrounding the issue. Through law school I will gain the expertise of the laws impacting those touched by DV helping in the understanding of their effects. Additionally, law school will give me a better understanding of the judicial system which will be helpful to one day lobby for policy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Nestorius Research Paper Stupidity likes to take a shower in the morning. A wave loudly crashing against a shoreline slips on a banana peel. Pinocchio is omni present, much like candy. Tomorrow is like a painted flower, it never wilts. These sentences are ridiculous, right? The way you are feeling right now after listening to them is the exact same way the council felt about Nestorius teachings. The council went even farther than nonsensicality and called him a heretic. But, more on that later. Nestorius was born in Syria in 386 AD, and was a priest and monk in the monastery of Euprepius. Theodore of Mopsuetia taught him in clerical training in Antioch. His sermons were so phenomenal that Emperor Theodosius II inaugurated him as Patriarch of Constantinople in 428 AD. Shortly after, Nestorius became involved in two theological factions debating in their Christology. One side said the Jesus was born as a man, and they called Mary Theotokos, meaning God bearer. The other side argued that this title of Mary was incorrect because God could not be born on account of his eternal nature. Nestorius tried to find a middle ground. He decided to call Mary Christokos, meaning Christ bearer. He did this so it would not seem like God was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the meeting was supposed to take place and any eastern bishops of Antioch arrived, Cyril began the assembly. He sent letters summoning Nestorius. Cyril used the Nicene Creed to disprove Nestorius, saying that Jesus flesh did not turn into the godhead, and the nature of God did not turn into flesh. He says Jesus became one with the flesh in a Hypostatic Union. Cyril proposed twelve anathemas that were accepted by the church. They basically said if anyone does or does not do something, they will be anathema. In other words, they will be condemned and basically sent to hell. • 38. Philosophy Of Clinical Mental Health Counseling Philosophy and Approach I am a mental health counselor working towards licensure in the state of Washington. I have a master s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle. In my current counseling practice, I work with individual adults (over 18). I take a humanistic approach to therapy; in our sessions together, we will focus on the here and now of your experience, while also exploring your past and social context to the extent they are relevant to your present concerns. Our first meeting will be a time for you to tell your story; then, together, we will assess your concerns and issues, and decide on the goals toward which you would like to move (Hilton, 2016). I am committed to embracing cultural diversity and social responsibility in my counseling practice (Corey, et al., 2015, p. 112). I am committed to my own cultural competency and, although I am not perfect, I am open to learning and growth (p. 118). I invite you to challenge my assumptions. Many therapy approaches reflect Western patriarchal values that do not fit the needs of all cultural perspectives (p. 117 118). I consider your disclosure of personal information to be an important aspect of therapy, but I will encourage you to self disclose according to your own timeline, not mine (p. 120). Some people hesitate to speak due to respect and cultural norms, so I encourage you to let me know when I am being too direct or assertive in my questions (p. 122). Therapy sometimes assumes a goal of individualization, buy I realize this might not be your goal, so I am open to exploring issues of collective responsibility as well as self actualization (p. 123). Finally, I come from a Western cultural orientation, both personally and professionally, and am often unconscious of my nonverbal behaviors, so I encourage you to let me know when I treat you disrespectfully in my use of eye contact, facial expression, or gestures, or when my interventions feel uncomfortably personal or intrusive (p. 123). • 39. Mood In Shakespeare s Much Ado About Nothing Much Ado About Nothing is a comedy by Shakespeare about love and misunderstandings between several characters. Claudio and Hero are in love but Claudio is led to believe that Hero has been unfaithful while Beatrice and Benedick both love each other but will not admit it. Since the story is a comedy that deals with serious issues such as infidelity and deceit, the mood shifts often between positive and negative moods, as shown in my diagram. In the diagram, the closer the point is to the top, the more positive the mood was during the scene and the closer the point is to the bottom, the more negative the mood was. While some scenes only had positive moments, others had both positive and negative. These scenes placement on the diagram reflects the average mood of the entire scene. This means that while a scene could have had a very positive moment, it will be placed lower on the diagram if the scene also contained a negative moment.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Act I, scene 1 has a lighthearted happy mood throughout it, as does scene 2. The characters are all happy about winning their battle and Claudio is in love. The characters in these scenes only have high hopes for the future and do not express any negative thoughts that would affect the mood, which is why these scenes are placed so high. Scene 2 is placed slightly lower than scene 1 because, while it is completely positive, it does not express the joy and love that is in scene 1. Scene 3 of Act I is placed extremely low on the diagram because it has a very negative mood caused by the introduction of Don John, the villain of the play, who is the bitter brother of Don ...
