What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Drop Shipping
Drop shipping is a retail satisfaction strategy where a store doesn t keep the items it offers in stock.
Rather, when a store offers an item, it buys the thing from an outsider and has it transported
straightforwardly to the client. Thus, the dealer never sees or handles the item.
The greatest contrast in the middle of drop shipping and the standard retail model is that the offering
dealer doesn t stock or own stock. Rather, the vendor buys stock as required from an outsider typically
a wholesaler or producer to satisfy orders.
This one of a kind model has various advantages and downsides:
Advantages
Less Capital Is Required Probably the greatest point of preference to drop shipping is that it s
conceivable to dispatch an e commerce store without investing a huge number of dollars in stock in

vast majority of the work to prepare extra requests will be borne by the suppliers, permitting you to

Every one of these advantages make dropshipping an exceptionally alluring model to both starting and

Best Form Of Republic Democracy
Democracy was the style of government system that the founding fathers pick for the nation. As it
been used by other nations before and was a better system of government than tyranny. The ancient
Greeks had a system of government that made them famous for practicing direct democracy, a system
in which citizens meet to discuss all policy, and then make decisions by majority rule. (What is a
democracy, para.4). The founding father used democracy as the form of government as would be the
only good one, yet would use representative s democracy to have elected leader by the people rule the

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)
For the last decade, the Army has been actively engaged in the War on Terror. Operation Enduring
Freedom (OEF) began on October 7, 2001 with allied air strikes on Taliban and Al Quada targets in
Afghanistan. Even though United States President Barrack Obama announced the drawdown of
Armed Forces in Afghanistan by the end of 2016, OEF would have lasted 15 years, becoming the
Army s longest war in the United States history (Taylor, 2014). On the other hand, Operation Iraqi
Freedom (OIF) lasted approximately 105 months, beginning in March 2003 and lasted until December
2011 with the withdrawal of combat troops from Iraq (Schifrin, 2011). Between OEF and OIF, over 2
million American Military personnel have deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan or both ... Show more content

Initially, service members were exacted to the base hospital or to England. French and British
physicians noticed that service members treated geographically proximate to the battle field, improved
more rapidly than those who were evacuated. For this reason, psychiatrists were placed in combat
divisions and forward hospitals to support the service members. It was recommended that American
Soldiers who experienced combat stress be treated close to the front (proximity), shortly after
evacuation (immediacy) and with the expectation to return to duty (expectancy). The return to duty
rate for hospitals near the front lines was reported to be as high as 80% while divisional hospitals
reported a 65% return to duty rate. This treatment was later described as forward psychiatry and is still
used in combat medicine. (Jones Wessley,

The Catbird Seat By Psy.
Recently, on the day of the talent show, I was asked to dance with a disabled student to a previous hit
titled Gangnam Style by Psy. As we were practicing the dance, he started to tease me repeatedly and I
wanted to say something, but I stopped myself because I knew it would not be acceptable. Although I
knew he was socially challenged, I took offense to his comments and felt that he was acting
inappropriately. David Birnbaum, writer of the essay, The Catbird Seat , which was published in the
New York Times Lives section, argues that as a disabled person he is allowed to take advantage of his
rights and has special privileges when the Americans with Disabilities Act is not fulfilled. Birnbaum s
essay discusses how he felt after becoming a quadriplegic and how the special treatment he receives
equals up to what he has faced from being handicapped. Also, Birnbaum concluded his essay by
describing the division between America s social hierarchies. The writer intended to catch the minds
of a more prestigious audience, particularly a group of scholars who have excess time to read the
newspaper. Through personal experiences and an unapologetic tone, Birnbaum conveys his overall
argument that the special privileges of the disabled community equal up to the pain and suffering they
encounter on a daily basis. Firstly, Birnbaum uses personal experiences to prove his stance that it is
permissible for people with disabilities to have certain advantages. Since Birnbaum is

Lord Of The Flies Fire Symbolism Essay
Don t play with fire. Fire is unpredictable, uncontainable, and its results are everlasting. Nonetheless,
fireplaces, campfires, and birthday candles, rouse the fascination of children and adults because it is
the universal symbol of spirit. Unlike conventional symbols, fire has an intrinsic relationship with the
spirit it represents. A fire radiates heat and light to create an impression of power and liveliness. The
vivacious flames are always dancing in different patterns, but maintain a degree of constancy. In the
Lord of the Flies, fire is a prominent symbol of Ralph s hopeful spirit throughout the series of events
on the island. Fire s recurring appearances throughout the novels demonstrates that there is always
hope in all situations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows that Ralph s hopes may not be as high, but the fire along with hope still exists.
Savagery is a threat to hope, but does not cause hope to die out. Despite fire s recurring presence, the
fire burns out when the hunters desert their duty to tend the fire and hunt a pig instead. When Ralph
discovers that Jack and his hunters neglect the fire, Jack provides a feeble excuse. [Ralph to Jack] You
let the fire go out. [...] [Jack insists] You should have seen the blood! (Golding 70) When the hunters
choose to hunt instead of tending the fire, it represents a descent from the original orderly civilization
into savagery. In this scene, Golding hints that savagery threatens Ralph s hopeful mindset for a
civilized tribe, but savagery does not kill hope. By the end of the book, all of the boys become hunters
who are regarded as savages , murder Ralph s faithful comrade Piggy, and steal the spectacles along
with the fire; Ralph seems to be at rock bottom. Ralph has no one to turn to, nowhere to stay, and no
plan for the future as he scrambles to escape a hunt, all the while, unable to see hope in his situation.
The narrator speaks, The best thing to do was to ignore this laden feeling about the heart, [...] no fire;
no smoke; no rescue, (Golding). Unfortunately for Ralph, the hunt escalates when Jack s savage forest
fire consumes the

Jeremiah Vs. Ruben s Miracles In Tin L. Enger
Opening the novel, it is immediately apparent that Jeremiah causes many miracles, such as Ruben s
miraculous birth after not breathing for twelve minutes. These godlike miracles aren t normal to
people except the Lands. When Reuben goes outside to calm himself, he finds his dad on the back of a
truck, pacing and praying. Then, he went on pacing God as my witness walking on air. (17) Enger
uses biblical references all throughout the book to compare the two. Jeremiah walking on air is easily
comparable to Jesus walking on water, because both men are walking on something impossible and
any normal man can t do. This helps for sure turn Jeremiah into a Christ like figure. Later progressing

Hunger, By Christina Rossetti
Hunger plays an important role in every person s life. Everyone experiences hunger in one way or
another, whether it be physical or even mental/emotional states of hunger and longing. In Goblin
Market by Christina Rossetti, hunger takes on an atypical but major part in the poem. The role of
hunger in Goblin Market is much more than solely physical hunger; rather, it is representative of
desperate and harmful longing in a never ending cycle of desire for more shown through various
elements of the language used in the poem. The poem begins with goblin men describing the fruits
they are selling while two sisters, Laura and Lizzie, unsuccessfully attempt to avoid them. The sisters
keep their distance from the goblin men while they are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the poem continues, Laura s hunger only grows more intense. She looks up at the goblin men as
they entice her and repeatedly tell her to come buy their fruits. Lizzie tells her not to fall into their
trap, but Curious Laura chose to linger (69). The words curiosity and linger show that Laura s hunger
has not yet become strong, as she is only beginning to become interested at this point. In other words,
they depict that Laura is slowly becoming drawn in by the goblin men; it wasn t an immediate switch
from completely uninterested to strong desire. While she is not eagerly pursuing the goblin men, she is
lingering around them and isn t actively avoiding them anymore. She wonders what their gifts are and
will do for her, so she stays around longer than she should. If Rossetti omitted or changed the words
curious or linger, the meaning of this line would greatly differ. As Laura realizes cannot have their
fruits, she only becomes more engrossed by them as her hunger grows immensely.
By the time Laura makes the decision to purchase the fruits from the goblins, her hunger has grown so
rapidly and strongly for the fruits that she is willing to give up a nearly priceless part of herself to
experience their taste. The goblins tell her that because she has no money, she must give up a lock of
her golden hair. While this upsets her and she sheds a tear, she does not

Essay on Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis
In the United States, an estimated 2.3 million couples are considered infertile [Wekesser, 1996]. This
creates a large need for infertility specialists and clinics specializing in fertility treatments. With the
quickly advancing field of rep roductive services and the quest for creating better, healthier babies, a
new service called Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is being offered in conjunction with In
vitro fertilization.
PGD is a procedure that combines In vitro fertilization and genetic screening. In vitro fertilization is a
procedure that requires a large time commitment; the entire procedure lasts about four weeks. The
woman receives daily injections for seven to twelve days to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It can also be used to test for Tay Sachs Disease, Fragile X Mental Retardation, Cystic Fibrosis, Down
Syndrome and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. In the past couples who wanted to have childr en, and were
carriers of inherited diseases, worried about the possibility of their children inheriting the disease.
Parents will no longer have this worry. In 1989, an English couple became the first to use PGD
[Grady,1995]. It was used because they were at risk of passing along a form of severe mental
retardation. Because it only affected sons, PGD was used to ensure that the couple had a daughter.
Public Policy Debates
Although PGD is a relatively new procedure, there are several ethical questions surrounding its use.
One question is, Should parents be allowed to choose characteristics for their children that are not
related to disorders such as their baby s eye color, personality, or even the sex of their baby?
[Wekesser,1996]. Until the genes responsible for inherited traits such as the previously mentioned are
mapped, this is not an issue. If scientists do not know where the gene is located, they are unable to
create a test determining the presence of the gene. However, because we do know how the sex of a
child is determined, a specific gender can be screened for. Many believe that this should

Glaciers Are Formed By Ice Erosion
Glaciers are essentially frozen rivers. They are common in the Northern Hemisphere as well as at high
altitude.
Glaciers don t erode quickly, but over a long period of time they can cause drastic changes.
Did you know that Glacial lakes are formed by ice erosion?
The glacier carves out a ditch in the earth and the glacial water melts and is left behind, and when the
glacier is moving, it collects rocks with it.
A Glacier s weight, combined with its gradual movement means that the glaciers can change the land
and make unique land forms. The three processes by which glaciation effects and changes landscape is
erosion, transportation and deposition. Did you know that when water freezes,it gets bigger and
expands, then it will break the rock. This type of erosion is called the freeze thaw. ... Show more

There are two important processes of glacial erosion. The first process is called plucking, Plucking
occurs when cracked and broken rocks are frozen and stuck into glaciers. As a glacier moves over the
landscape, water melts under the glacier and gets into cracks within the underlying bedrock. The water
freezes and melts, weakening the bonds holding pieces of bedrock in place. These pieces of rock can
now be plucked from their rocky base and carried along with the moving glacier.

A person s eventual welfare has very little to do with the adversities or difficulties that might bring

Essay On Macunaima
Macunaima Military dictatorship has been a common aspect within Latin American countries dating
back to the colonial period. This has been frequently interpreted as a failure of civilian institutions to
address persistent problems such as poverty and corruption . Brazil was one of the countries that has
experienced complete political unrest especially during the 1960s till the early 1970s. The change of a
socialist president, Joao Gollart, to a military dictatorship changed many cultural and social factors in
the country including Brazilian Cinema. Under Gollart s presidency in the early 1960s, art and cinema

in a way that makes satirical sense in Brazil in the sense that racism exists (being dark skinned is
unattractive) and sexism is prominent (the masculine control of Macunaima s brother on his

Marina Kunert s Big Bang Theory
Big Bang Theory is a humorous drama based on situations that might arise in day to day life,
otherwise known as a situational comedy. The television show is based on the social lives of four
friends who are professors, and socially classed as Nerds. It is presumptuous on first encounter that
the show will present with all the similarities of the 80 s hit movies Revenge of the Nerds. In fact,
their daily interactions mimic those fashioned as such. They exemplify social awkwardness, sexual
failure and mathematical intelligence, all characteristics of a nerd, discussed in a thesis done by
Marina Kunert (p. 1). The lack of social skills, which often leads to clashes between them and other
people, makes them very interesting people.

Penny being a part of Big Bang Theory brings common sense and social interaction into their
otherwise, socially disconnected environment. The series starts with Penny, the attractive neighbor,
moves in next to the nerds Leonard and Sheldon and immediately becomes a potential love interest for
Leonard. Raj and Howard constantly struggle with girls but express the desire to be in a romantic
relationship. However, they all seem to form a circle of friendship. Idealized images of relationships
can create a more positive image about relationships (Kunert, p. 11). The link between two people can
shift from being friends to being lovers and vice versa. On the Big Bang Theory, Leonard and Penny
become friends first for a long time before becoming lovers. After breaking up they remain friends.
Big Bang Theory has exceeded the expectations of many. It is definitely not what people thought it

Zoos have been around for thousands of years holding thousands of different species for humans to
marvel at. The first recorded instance of animals in captivity was in fifteen hundred B.C. in egypt
where animals from all over Africa were kept. Zoos have been used as ways for people to view
animals they would most likely never have a chance to see in the wild. This is why zoos have been so
popular because everyday people have the opportunity to see animals that they would have never seen
before. Unfortunately animals living in zoos have no chance of living in their natural habitat. They

Some animal containment facilities are solely designed to rehabilitate injured animals and prepare
them to be released back into the wild. Zoos on the other hand are only meant for people s
entertainment. The animals in zoos are not being prepared to be sent back into the wild. Zoos are filled
with animals which are not often seen by the population surrounding the zoo. Rather than keep
endangered species in the zoos more widely covered animals are placed in zoos to draw crowds. Zoos
find themselves in a bind. In order to maintain this popularity and income they have to cram in as
many charismatic, big draw species as possible into a limited space. This commercial need can clash
with the desire to recreate natural environments and can even, as studies have shown, diminish the
actual proportion of endangered species under their care. (Sanctuaries or Showbiz: What s the Future

Essay on Sweat Zora Neale Hurston
Sweat by Zora Neale Hurston is filled with many religious symbolism. Good versus evil plays a large
role in the development of Delia and Skype Jones, as characters. The story is about Delia, an African
American woman who is a washwoman for whites. Delia consistently looks to her religion for
guidance and support as she endures the many hardships that she faces because, which are caused by
her abusive husband and unfaithful husband, Sykes. Delia and Sykes Jones is a couple that have
opposite moral values, but yet they are tied together through marital vows, that no longer have much
importance or value. Delia Jones is portrayed as the Protagonist and a very modest woman of
weakness who later gains the strength to stand u to her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since Sykes is the one creating these scare tactics to Delia, he can also be seen as a symbol of evil,
which he becomes the evil antagonist of the story. These two instances could also be seen in the
religious aspect with Adam and Eve. Another symbol that was present in the story was the dark grey
sky. The dark grey sky symbolically means evil, remorse, and sadness. The dark grey sky came about
when the snake Sykes used to scare Delia with, bites and kills him. While Sykes was dying, he was
now feeling remorse for all his evil doings that he has done to Delia, so we think because he was
calling out for her after the snake had bitten him. As the sky clears the story brings about another last
symbol. Eventually, at the end of the story is when the reader can really see the Good vs. Evil. Sykes
soon begins to reap is sowing (par26), when he comes home and is killed by the snake, the one thing
that he had used to scare Delia with so bad that she would leave, or die even. As Sykes is dying the
sky begins to clear and the sun begins to rise. The clear, light sky and the sun represents freedom,
purity, and peace, and the clear sky can also represent the Delia s character as well as the white clothes
that were mentioned in the beginning of the story. In all the symbols that were present in the story, the
most important symbol was Delia s sweat. Delia s work worn knees crawled

The Journalist, Poet And Author G. K.
The journalist, poet and author G. K. Chesterton is perhaps best known for his series of detective short
stories, Father Brown, adapted into a TV series in 2013. Nevertheless, he should perhaps be best
known as a leading figure in the renaissance of Catholic thought in England his writings are known to
have influenced many figures in 20th century Christian apologetics, including, most famously, C. S.
Lewis, who discussed Chesterton s influences on his life and work in his autobiography, Surprised by
Joy (Lewis, 1955). His perspectives on English identity, as well as the nature of nationality and social
belonging, disseminated through various essays and articles in London newspapers (including his own
publication, G. K. s Weekly), were both based on a firm belief in the importance of Christian
traditions in society, in addition to vehement opposition against Puritan ideas, arguably in response to
Victorian attitudes. Throughout his work, Chesterton focused on what he saw as the needs and values
of the ordinary man, extolling an optimistic view of everyday life as extraordinary. The need for
symbolism and idealism is, in his opinion, an expression of this view; it is the main focus of his 1904
work, The Napoleon of Notting Hill. In this novel, Chesterton explores the idea of national and
regional identity. Set in a 1984 that is almost identical to Chesterton s own time (except for the
random selection of the King), it explores the aftermath of the establishment of the

In light of the various issues raised in the previous meeting and following Dr. Blau s assertion of a
choice between him and Dr. Zafar, I would like to recommend that the leadership team allow me a
limited period to implement the new approaches to healthcare. As highlighted in the team meeting, the
new approaches are not a replacement of the traditional healthcare approach embodied at Brooks

A review should be conducted after the one year and if no improvements are found, the leadership
management team can decide on another course of action including my resignation from Brooks
Union.
The leadership management team should also allow me to retain my team for the one year period.
Such recommendations are based on proven market analysis that the complementary approaches are
part of the new health market direction. On the other hand, I believe I have the capability to push the
organization to new heights and the one year period should show realistic progress.
Vice President of Medical Affairs
On the matter regarding the choice of Dr. Blau or Dr. Zafar for the position of Vice President of
Medical Affairs, I would like to maintain both individuals for the position within the one year period.
Dr. Zafar will be the Vice President of Medical Affairs to deal with issues related to alternative

When I saw the light Immediately, when I turned sixteen I woke up in the morning and saw a pair of

was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and it was mine. I took it for a test drive around the

Japanese Internment Camps In Canada
The Internment of Japanese and Italian Canadians Canada is presently known for welcoming many
racial groups into the country. However, the Canadian government is not always giving out warm
welcomes to different ethnicities. During World War Two, the country rejects many Japanese and
Italians who are already Canadian. The treatment of the Japanese and Italians in the Second World

government separates families and force men to work on farms with little pay. The government of
Canada also mistreat the Japanese and Italian Canadians because they are full of fear and superstition.

Most Italians work in the trades sector but are forced to work in farms. In 1942, V.G. McGulgan,
president of the Kent County Federation of Agriculture suggested that, Italian war prisoners and
Canadian Japanese be employed in farm labor camps as means of filling the acute labor shortage. This
shows that the Japanese and Italians were sent to internment camps to work in farms to fill in labor
shortages. Sending them to work in camps to satisfy employment deficiency is unjust considering that
the Japanese and Italian Canadian have to work all day with a small amount of pay.
Subsequently, to get to the camps, families were packed into small trains where they had to ride on for
hours to get to their destination. Men and women were separated once they reached their camps. Most
men stayed at Camp Petawawa and Camp Ripples, whereas, women stayed at the Kingston

The duties and roles that have to be carried out by a resource developer are explained by the figure
above. Individual needs of every student have to be identified and plans have to be developed in order
to satisfy the learning needs of all learners. The next step is to design the resources according to the
individual needs that are identified and deliver those resources to the learners. Once the task in
completed by the learners the resource developer then can assess their performance which will
automatically enable the resource developed to identify the effectiveness of his resources. According
to the information given by Turkish online journal of education technology (2009), two student groups
are surveyed where one group of students provided with the lower level of teaching resources while
second group of students are provided with the higher level of teaching resources. The surveys
identified that the students who are provided with higher level of teaching resources have got much
more positive outcome comparing to the other group of students. We have found that when
technologies are thoughtfully integrated with a sound pedagogical vision, students views of teaching
and approaches to learning can be positively affected. The LeTUS report series (2003) also shows how

Selfishness In Ayn Rand s Anthem
When babies cry, they cry for various reasons, when they are hungry or tired or need their diaper to be
changed, but there is another reason on top of all this too. Babies can fake cry to gain the attention of
their parents. It does not matter if that same parent is exhausted or busy; that baby will wail in order to
be noticed. Even when we do not know the meaning of the word selfish, we exhibit signs of it so early
into life. Our being selfish is innate, apart of our nature , just like every other animal that fights and
hunts to sustain itself. We are born selfish and wanting, we live selfish and wanting, and we die selfish

Love, Care, And Treat People With Respect From A Very...
I was taught to love, care, and treat people with respect from a very young age. When I was a young
girl, my mom would take me with her to work. At the time, she worked at an assisted living center in
Rome, Georgia. You see, I was a very quiet and curious child who observed the world innocently with
bright, untainted eyes. I didn t care much to be around the other children who were usually loud and
somewhat bothersome, but I enjoyed being around adults. So when my mom would take me with her,
the elderly people living there found much joy in having my company. I would sit and listen to them
tell me all sorts of stories from their past for hours on end, but I loved to hear about them. In a way, I
somehow understood that these people were lonely and only had so much time left. They just wanted
someone who could appreciate them and what they had to say; they wanted to feel like they were of
some importance and had a sense of meaning. I cared greatly about what they had to say, even though
I didn t understand it that much. More importantly, I cared about their feelings and wellbeing. I can
still remember at least two of my mom s patients. One was a man named Lou, and I believe he wore a
prosthetic leg. He was a very sweet and dear old man who loved the outdoors. My mom would bring
him outside in the mornings to watch the birds and to get some fresh, crisp, morning air. He had

Essay on Inherit the Wind (Scopes Trial)
The play Inherit the Wind, was written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee to inform its readers
about the injustice of a law that limited the freedom of an ordinary citizen. This play is based upon
actual events that happened to an individual, John Scopes, in Dayton, Tennessee during the 1920 s.
This famous Monkey Trial not only allowed people to begin to accept new theories about the origin of
man, but also showed that they did not have to limit themselves in other areas of life. In the beginning
of the play, the authors try to lead us into the topic of Darwinism versus Creationism. One instance
was when the character Howard actually told Melinda Your old man s a monkey! (5) The audience
also learns that the accused lawbreaker, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This format also allowed the story to be conveyed without any bias to either side. It is in this way that
the authors allow each side of the case to speak their minds freely. In my opinion the theme s purpose
was achieved through the expression of becoming open with new ideas and leaving the play as
unbiased form.
The author s key style as well highlighted humour, as a comic relief. They used it as a tool to decrease
the stress of the characters and the trial itself. For instance when Brady sarcastically says to
Drummond is the defense showing us the latest fashion in the city of Chicago? (40), and Drummond
strikes back with slapping his suspenders down to attract the attention of the court. They want laughter
aroused in the courtroom. Hornbeck himself is in the play to create some cynical humor. Though it is
not exactly a technique, it did capture my attention how the character who did accustom with changes
and was open to all new ideas ended better than he who was faithful yet stubborn with old ideas.
What I didn t like about Inherit the Wind does not show to be a historically accurate depiction of the
Scopes trial. The main source for Lee and Lawrence s information was the actual trial record found in
Dayton, Tennessee, dating back to 1925. They did not use all of the characters or dialogue from the
records, instead they elaborated on the actual people and events, also using reporters stories on the
case. The authors

Classical Imagery in Shakespeare s Much Ado About Nothing
The romance of history has lured many of the world s greatest authors to search for their subject
matter in the pages of time. William Shakespeare serves as a unfailing embodiment of the emotion of
days past; yet he also turned to those before him. The comedy Much Ado About Nothing is a poignant
love story, riddled with stunning imagery and allusion. An examination of the development of certain
characters, the imagery and allusion, diction, and structure illustrate that the author wrote in a style
heavily influenced by the classical movement of Ancient Greece and Rome. The classical thread
strengthens the tapestry which is Much Ado About Nothing.

The play was written in 1598 during the reign of Elizabeth I of England. The following statement
certainly rings true of William Shakespeare:
English authors in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries made extensive use of classical mythology,
in drama and narrative poems, as ornaments in lyric poetry, and by means of mythological allusion in
prose and verse works.1
The mythology of Ancient Greece and Rome appears in the characterization, imagery, allusion, and
theme of this play. The references to the classical period are both bold and subtle as Shakespeare
weaves them into the work.
The opening scene immediately sets the stage as well as introduces the characters and their
relationships, thus allowing the playwright to ply his stylistic trade.
Shakespeare uses a subtle ploy: the setting of the scene is Italy, which was the very heart of the
classical world. Messina seems to exist as a peaceful town, nestled in nature. The pastoral setting is
characteristic of the Renaissance movement which itself was a return to the classical glorification of
nature. As the play unravels, it becomes evident that many conventions were selected due to their
specifically classical undertones.
The beginning is reminiscent of the epic genre: the first scene starts in medias res with the
announcement of Don Pedro s triumph in battle. The epic style is characterised as possessing a hero of
great national or even cosmic importance, a setting ample in scale,

Legislative History Of Tax Exemption Essay
Some legislative history to tax exemption organizations began between 1894 and 1969, the
development of legislation led the structure of the current tax exemptions granted to charitable and
voluntary sectors outlined in the United States Tax Code. The early tax regulations established around
three major principles. First, organizations operating for charitable purposes were granted exemptions
from Federal income tax. Second, charitable organizations were required to be free of private
inurement. Third, an income tax deduction for contributions was developed and designed to encourage
charitable giving for organizations. The Wilson Gorham Tariff Act of 1884 provided an exemption for
corporations, companies, or associations organized and conducted solely for charitable, religious, or
educational purposes, including fraternal beneficiary associations. Ultimately this Act became famous
for income tax provisions later found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. The Underwood Tariff
Act of 1913 established an income tax system with tax exemptions for certain organizations, most
particularly for the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce appeared before the Senate
Finance Committee during its deliberations because it was anxious that the existing tax exemptions
would not protect nonprofit business groups. This Act also included an exemption for organizations
dedicated to social welfare, the forerunner to today s IRC 501(c)(4). Later, the Revenue Act of 1943

Biological And Humanistic Approach To Personality
Biological and Humanistic ApproachePersonality is distinctive characteristics inherited and uniquely
possessed by each individual. It makes us very different in our emotions, thought patterns, as well as
our behaviors. The Creator God has given each of us a sense of uniqueness and there is no one else
like us. It means that there is a particular characteristic in our personality that will describe who we
are. As we studied personality, we found out there are eight crucial aspects in which will help us to
grasp the meaning of an individual s complex nature. Maslow (1982) wrote in his journal about his

concept. Additionally, as climate change worsens on Earth and the human population continues to

Transporting this much cargo requires the development of new technologies, and potentially private
sector contracting ( NASA s Journey ). Transporting so much cargo, even if some is reusable across
missions, isn t Earth independent. Long term, a different solution is necessary in order to sustain
growing human populations separate from Earth. This requires being fully dependent on the sun and
Martian resources for everything from food to fuel and building materials. This is challenging because
most forms of life are unable to survive in a Mars like environment without assistance. However,
research at Cambridge has found that Mars contains the resources to sustain cyanobacteria, which
could potentially make it possible to sustain other forms of life on Mars. Perhaps most importantly,
cyanobacteria can perform photosynthesis, which makes oxygen production possible (Verseux et al.,
2015). Verseux determined that sustaining a Mars crew for a year solely on Earth food would require
the transportation of an extra 29 mt of supplies, which is extremely expensive. The symbiotic
relationship between plants and cyanobacteria could be used to grow food, and cyanobacteria can be
directly used as feed for fish, which could be an effective protein source (Verseux et al., 2015). The

oxygen. Fortunately, as we discussed in lecture, Mars has large polar

As we were practicing the dance, he started to tease me repeatedly and I wanted to say something, but I stopped myself because I knew it would not be acceptable. Although I knew he was socially challenged, I took offense to his comments and felt that he was acting inappropriately. David Birnbaum, writer of the essay, The Catbird Seat , which was published in the New York Times Lives section, argues that as a disabled person he is allowed to take advantage of his rights and has special privileges when the Americans with Disabilities Act is not fulfilled. Birnbaum s essay discusses how he felt after becoming a quadriplegic and how the special treatment he receives equals up to what he has faced from being handicapped. Also, Birnbaum concluded his essay by describing the division between America s social hierarchies. The writer intended to catch the minds of a more prestigious audience, particularly a group of scholars who have excess time to read the newspaper. Through personal experiences and an unapologetic tone, Birnbaum conveys his overall argument that the special privileges of the disabled community equal up to the pain and suffering they encounter on a daily basis. Firstly, Birnbaum uses personal experiences to prove his stance that it is permissible for people with disabilities to have certain advantages. Since Birnbaum is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Lord Of The Flies Fire Symbolism Essay Don t play with fire. Fire is unpredictable, uncontainable, and its results are everlasting. Nonetheless, fireplaces, campfires, and birthday candles, rouse the fascination of children and adults because it is the universal symbol of spirit. Unlike conventional symbols, fire has an intrinsic relationship with the spirit it represents. A fire radiates heat and light to create an impression of power and liveliness. The vivacious flames are always dancing in different patterns, but maintain a degree of constancy. In the Lord of the Flies, fire is a prominent symbol of Ralph s hopeful spirit throughout the series of events on the island. Despite fire s recurring presence, the fire burns out when the hunters desert their duty to tend the fire and hunt a pig instead. When Ralph discovers that Jack and his hunters neglect the fire, Jack provides a feeble excuse. [Ralph to Jack] You let the fire go out. [...] [Jack insists] You should have seen the blood! (Golding 70) When the hunters choose to hunt instead of tending the fire, it represents a descent from the original orderly civilization into savagery. In this scene, Golding hints that savagery threatens Ralph s hopeful mindset for a civilized tribe, but savagery does not kill hope. By the end of the book, all of the boys become hunters who are regarded as savages , murder Ralph s faithful comrade Piggy, and steal the spectacles along with the fire; Ralph seems to be at rock bottom. Ralph has no one to turn to, nowhere to stay, and no plan for the future as he scrambles to escape a hunt, all the while, unable to see hope in his situation. Enger Opening the novel, it is immediately apparent that Jeremiah causes many miracles, such as Ruben s miraculous birth after not breathing for twelve minutes. These godlike miracles aren t normal to people except the Lands. When Reuben goes outside to calm himself, he finds his dad on the back of a truck, pacing and praying. Then, he went on pacing God as my witness walking on air. (17) Enger uses biblical references all throughout the book to compare the two. • 10. Hunger, By Christina Rossetti Hunger plays an important role in every person s life. Everyone experiences hunger in one way or another, whether it be physical or even mental/emotional states of hunger and longing. In Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti, hunger takes on an atypical but major part in the poem. The role of hunger in Goblin Market is much more than solely physical hunger; rather, it is representative of desperate and harmful longing in a never ending cycle of desire for more shown through various elements of the language used in the poem. The words curiosity and linger show that Laura s hunger has not yet become strong, as she is only beginning to become interested at this point. In other words, they depict that Laura is slowly becoming drawn in by the goblin men; it wasn t an immediate switch from completely uninterested to strong desire. While she is not eagerly pursuing the goblin men, she is lingering around them and isn t actively avoiding them anymore. She wonders what their gifts are and will do for her, so she stays around longer than she should. If Rossetti omitted or changed the words curious or linger, the meaning of this line would greatly differ. As Laura realizes cannot have their fruits, she only becomes more engrossed by them as her hunger grows immensely. By the time Laura makes the decision to purchase the fruits from the goblins, her hunger has grown so rapidly and strongly for the fruits that she is willing to give up a nearly priceless part of herself to experience their taste. Chesterton is perhaps best known for his series of detective short stories, Father Brown, adapted into a TV series in 2013. Nevertheless, he should perhaps be best known as a leading figure in the renaissance of Catholic thought in England his writings are known to have influenced many figures in 20th century Christian apologetics, including, most famously, C. S. Lewis, who discussed Chesterton s influences on his life and work in his autobiography, Surprised by Joy (Lewis, 1955). His perspectives on English identity, as well as the nature of nationality and social belonging, disseminated through various essays and articles in London newspapers (including his own publication, G. K. s Weekly), were both based on a firm belief in the importance of Christian traditions in society, in addition to vehement opposition against Puritan ideas, arguably in response to Victorian attitudes. Throughout his work, Chesterton focused on what he saw as the needs and values of the ordinary man, extolling an optimistic view of everyday life as extraordinary. The need for symbolism and idealism is, in his opinion, an expression of this view; it is the main focus of his 1904 work, The Napoleon of Notting Hill. I took it for a test drive around the block and opened it up on the highway only three blocks from my house. • 32. Love, Care, And Treat People With Respect From A Very... I was taught to love, care, and treat people with respect from a very young age. When I was a young girl, my mom would take me with her to work. At the time, she worked at an assisted living center in Rome, Georgia. You see, I was a very quiet and curious child who observed the world innocently with bright, untainted eyes. I didn t care much to be around the other children who were usually loud and somewhat bothersome, but I enjoyed being around adults. So when my mom would take me with her, the elderly people living there found much joy in having my company. I would sit and listen to them tell me all sorts of stories from their past for hours on end, but I loved to hear about them. In a way, I somehow understood that these people were lonely and only had so much time left. They just wanted someone who could appreciate them and what they had to say; they wanted to feel like they were of some importance and had a sense of meaning. I cared greatly about what they had to say, even though I didn t understand it that much. More importantly, I cared about their feelings and wellbeing. I can still remember at least two of my mom s patients. One was a man named Lou, and I believe he wore a prosthetic leg. He was a very sweet and dear old man who loved the outdoors. • 33. Essay on Inherit the Wind (Scopes Trial) The play Inherit the Wind, was written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee to inform its readers about the injustice of a law that limited the freedom of an ordinary citizen. This play is based upon actual events that happened to an individual, John Scopes, in Dayton, Tennessee during the 1920 s. This famous Monkey Trial not only allowed people to begin to accept new theories about the origin of man, but also showed that they did not have to limit themselves in other areas of life. In the beginning of the play, the authors try to lead us into the topic of Darwinism versus Creationism. One instance was when the character Howard actually told Melinda Your old man s a monkey! It is in this way that the authors allow each side of the case to speak their minds freely. In my opinion the theme s purpose was achieved through the expression of becoming open with new ideas and leaving the play as unbiased form. The author s key style as well highlighted humour, as a comic relief. They used it as a tool to decrease the stress of the characters and the trial itself. For instance when Brady sarcastically says to Drummond is the defense showing us the latest fashion in the city of Chicago? (40), and Drummond strikes back with slapping his suspenders down to attract the attention of the court. They want laughter aroused in the courtroom. Hornbeck himself is in the play to create some cynical humor. Though it is not exactly a technique, it did capture my attention how the character who did accustom with changes and was open to all new ideas ended better than he who was faithful yet stubborn with old ideas. What I didn t like about Inherit the Wind does not show to be a historically accurate depiction of the Scopes trial. The main source for Lee and Lawrence s information was the actual trial record found in Dayton, Tennessee, dating back to 1925. They did not use all of the characters or dialogue from the records, instead they elaborated on the actual people and events, also using reporters stories on the case. The authors ... Classical Imagery in Shakespeare s Much Ado About Nothing The romance of history has lured many of the world s greatest authors to search for their subject matter in the pages of time. William Shakespeare serves as a unfailing embodiment of the emotion of days past; yet he also turned to those before him. The comedy Much Ado About Nothing is a poignant love story, riddled with stunning imagery and allusion. An examination of the development of certain characters, the imagery and allusion, diction, and structure illustrate that the author wrote in a style heavily influenced by the classical movement of Ancient Greece and Rome. The play was written in 1598 during the reign of Elizabeth I of England. The following statement certainly rings true of William Shakespeare: English authors in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries made extensive use of classical mythology, in drama and narrative poems, as ornaments in lyric poetry, and by means of mythological allusion in prose and verse works.1 The mythology of Ancient Greece and Rome appears in the characterization, imagery, allusion, and theme of this play. The references to the classical period are both bold and subtle as Shakespeare weaves them into the work. The opening scene immediately sets the stage as well as introduces the characters and their relationships, thus allowing the playwright to ply his stylistic trade. Shakespeare uses a subtle ploy: the setting of the scene is Italy, which was the very heart of the classical world. Messina seems to exist as a peaceful town, nestled in nature. The pastoral setting is characteristic of the Renaissance movement which itself was a return to the classical glorification of nature. As the play unravels, it becomes evident that many conventions were selected due to their specifically classical undertones. The beginning is reminiscent of the epic genre: the first scene starts in medias res with the announcement of Don Pedro s triumph in battle. Legislative History Of Tax Exemption Essay Some legislative history to tax exemption organizations began between 1894 and 1969, the development of legislation led the structure of the current tax exemptions granted to charitable and voluntary sectors outlined in the United States Tax Code. The early tax regulations established around three major principles. First, organizations operating for charitable purposes were granted exemptions from Federal income tax. Second, charitable organizations were required to be free of private inurement. Third, an income tax deduction for contributions was developed and designed to encourage charitable giving for organizations. The Wilson Gorham Tariff Act of 1884 provided an exemption for corporations, companies, or associations organized and conducted solely for charitable, religious, or educational purposes, including fraternal beneficiary associations. Ultimately this Act became famous for income tax provisions later found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. The Underwood Tariff Act of 1913 established an income tax system with tax exemptions for certain organizations, most particularly for the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce appeared before the Senate Finance Committee during its deliberations because it was anxious that the existing tax exemptions would not protect nonprofit business groups. This Act also included an exemption for organizations dedicated to social welfare, the forerunner to today s IRC 501(c)(4). Later, the Revenue Act of 1943 required ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
