A tornado, by definition, is a violently rotating column of air that extends from the
ground to a thunderstorm above in the sky. Tornadoes are created through many
factors, one of which is instability when the air closer to the ground is warmer than
the air that is higher up. If the unstable air contains water vapor that is able to turn
into water, then raindrops or hail will form. Another factor that determines whether or
not a tornado will form is wind shear. When winds blow at different distances,
directions, and speeds, they form an invisible tube in the atmosphere that spins
parallel to the ground. Eventually, the updrafts upward current of air will turn the
tornado until it is vertical. This rotation creates a thunderstorm called a supercell,

Artemis Corruption Theme
The purpose of my poster is to persuade children aged 12 and over to read Artemis
Fowl by Eoin Colfer. The poster displays and expresses the theme of evil that is
evident in the graphic novel. I have used many techniques to convey the theme of evil
in the book.
Colour has been used in my poster to create a dark and wicked setting. The black
and red in the image of Artemis shows how he is capable of doing such evil. His
body is outlined with a red glow to enhance his power. I have also purposely made

population has recorded having a sleep parasomnia, most of them being young
children or adolescents. Parasomnias range from very common disorders such as
sleepwalking, to a few some may have never heard of, for instance: sleep paralysis.
Sleep parasomnias are disorders characterized by abnormal or unusual behavior of
the nervous system during that occur during non rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep
or rapid eye movement (REM) sleep (Parasomnias). NREM sleep (also referred to as
slow wave sleep) contains more common parasomnias that involve the stimulation of
the autonomic nervous system, motor system, or cognitive processes. Sleep disorders

On Friday, April 25, 2014, I attend the event Global Climate Change Symposium
organized by the West Valley College Global Citizen and Suitability Committees
from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. In this event the speaker was Dr. Daphane Miller, MD.,
family physician, writer and Associate Professor in the department of Family
Medicine at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Daphane Miller is also
a family physician. One thing that I believe that is sticking to know first and
foremost is that she is a doctor. She sits at her office three days a week and she
sees patients all day long and she takes care of them, one of her many prescriptions
