Essay Of Reading
Crafting an essay on the theme of "Essay of Reading" presents a unique set of challenges, as it
delves into the intricacies of both the act of reading and the art of essay writing itself. The

PE Classroom Pool Analysis
In the pool phase of the PE class, we learned three major components: how to
kickboard, how to tread water, and how to do different strokes. To start off each
day in the pool, we warmed up using kick boards and had people start on each side
of the pool. When using a kickboard, we must make sure our two hands are at the
top of the board. The way we used the kickboard involved kicking in the way of the
freestyle stroke. Watching the youtube video, I learned kick boarding is described
as allowing you to target your legs, isolating them so you can practice your kick
stroke, improve your balance, or work on your leg strength. While kick boarding,
you are recommended to do short maximum burst to work on speed and power or can
have your repetitions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first stroke we learned to do was how to do the freestyle stroke. With this stroke,
you must focus on reaching out in front as far as possible, and pulling the water back
behind you while kicking in a fluttering motion. The motion of your arms should look
like a windmill spinning. In the backstroke, the swimmer has his or her back facing
the bottom of the pool while flutter kicking their feet and doing their arm strokes.
The way the backstroke is different is because with the arm stroke your arm is
going in the opposite direction as the freestyle stroke and you must let your
outside little finger enter the water first for the most efficient way to catch and
push the water. Lastly, we learned the breaststroke. In the breaststroke, your legs
are kicking in a frog like way to push the water back with the bottoms of your feet.
In the youtube video it says that you must sweep your arms outward while trying to
catch as much water possible. When at the end of the arm stroke, the swimmer s
head can come out of the water to take a breathe. Those are each of the stroke we
have used during class time in Physical Education

One of the utmost gratifying aspects of collecting vinyl is building an extensive
collection of records from distinct era s and decades. As you read through the
history of vinyl you will be presented with insight magnifying your ability to
identify and understand information with regards to vinyl pressings from as early
as the 1900s. This chapter not only riffles through a variety of record facts that will
bring the newbie record collector up to speed, but also contains intriguing knowledge
and stories even the fanatical record collectors are expectedly unaware of. You will

In the 1988 McDonald s held a Flexi Disc contest that gave 1 lucky winner a

releases can be designed for fun and creative purposes, they are easily worn out, warp

During the 1950s in the Soviet Union x rays were brought about to duplicate banned

music onto them. X ray records are an item that is hunted for and collected by

Federick Jackson Turner s Impact On The Nineteenth-
Century
People moved to the West to seek adventure, to get away from city life and working
in factories, and some came for health reasons. Most people moved to better their lot.
Travelers traveled West because they were promised land by Uncle Sam. Minors,
cattle ranchers, and farmers moved to the West searching for crop bonanzan and to
start new lives. Federick Jackson Turner thought the the settlement of the West played
a role in American development. He felt like it outlined character and customs by
creating a growth in independence, self confidence, and individualism. Turner also
believed it encouraged invention and adaptation. His critics believed the opposite.
They felt white Americans conquered the West, opposed to the settling there. They

A Survey On Nosql Database And Relational Database
ABSTRACT
MIN HE. A survey on NoSQL database and relational database. (Under the direction
of DR. JIANPING FAN)
NoSQL database, also called as not only SQL database, is using a different data
storage and retrieval mechanism from the relational tables adopted by traditional
relational database management system. In the sense of CAP (Consistency,
availability and tolerance) theorem, NoSQL database sacrifices some consistency
features to get more availabilities and partition tolerances. In most cases, NoSQL
database systems are distributed and parallel, although the RDBMS is still
dominating the database market, the NoSQL databases are becoming more and more
popular and in a tendency of catching up, especially in the domains of SNS and
major Internet companies, which requires large scale data storage for massively
parallel data processing across a large number of commodity servers. The purpose
of this report is to understand main characteristics of the NoSQL database and
compare the strengths and weaknesses of NoSQL databases over the RDBMS.
NoSQL database has witnessed rapid development since it was first used by Carlo
Strozzi in 1998. Various systems were implemented by using different approaches:
column, document, key value, graph, etc. In this report, I will also present the main
features of those different models and compare their advantages and disadvantages.

and growth go with each other: no country has ever reached a great economy
without a significant population shift into cities. According to United Nations
databases, the proportion of the 2014 world population living in urban areas was
54 per cent, heading for 66 per cent by 2050. Urbanization is necessary to keep up
growth in developing countries, and it yields other benefits as well. But it is not
pain less or always welcomed by policymakers or the general public. Managing
urbanization is an important part of nurturing growth; neglecting cities even in
countries in which the level of urbanization is low can impose heavy costs.
Historically, urban infrastructures have materialized as a response to emergent issues,
natural disasters are just an example of them. In the more distant past, construction
has been a driven by localized issues such as sanitation, flooding or fire. The reaction
has been to engineer systems (under the powers of centralized, state led planning and
public funding) that solve a single problem at a particular time. Little thought has been
Returning to School Essay
Wanting to return to school has been a dream for a long time. I am starting out a
little late, at 45 years old, but I have finally found my passion, working in
education. Since the age of thirteen, I have been working multiple jobs day and
night, only to still be below the poverty line; stuck in survival mode for so long
now that I need to have a permanent positive change that will help me accomplish
more than I ever have. The reason for me going back to school is to get certified so
I may become a teacher. Our low income was the culprit on pushing me to get
started. I have been struggling for so long that now it is time for me to make a real
difference in my life and those around me, hopefully resulting in an increase in my...

While doing everything, I have been the only income, and support for my family,
working three jobs, and volunteering for the PHS Band Boosters. Stress is high at
home, and I just do not feel welcome. Our power was turned off, the phone and
internet have already been disconnected, the house is a mess, the cars are breaking
down, and we have no clothes, or shoes that are decent, and no money to buy any. I
cannot afford to have the trash hauled off, so we live with piles of garbage outside
and inside. I am two months behind on the rent, and we live out of the local food
banks for our food. I m so embarrassed of how we live that I won t let anyone come
over to visit. I hear the kids and my husband saying that they blame me for how we
live. It s my fault that I am not home to keep things clean, or help with their
homework, or that I am not bringing in enough money to pay the bills. I have to
fight each day just to prove myself, to those closest to me. At this time the best that
I can do, is to talk with one of the counselors at school, to see if they may be able to
help us out as a family. Working with so many different types of people throughout
the years, has taught me that there is a way if it is important enough to you. Giving

Van Helsing In Bram Stoker s Dracula
In the novel, Dracula written by Bram Stoker, Dr. Abraham Van Helsing is a Dutch
professor from Amsterdam. The novel emphasizes power of religion against a
greater evil. Count Dracula is the devil like figure in contrast Van Helsing is the God
like figure. Van Helsing is a well suited opponent against Count Draculasince he is
the only person that has that understands Dracula s true nature. He is a godly,
intelligent and witty character.
Van Helsing is a God like figure that has to rise against evil to defeat Count Dracula.
During the Victorian period, Protestant was the major religion. However, Van
Helsing is a Roman Catholic. Throughout the novel, his faith proves to be superior
against any immoralities. Van Helsing s first name is Abraham. Abraham has
biblical importance as the name of the patriarch and descent of all Jews. Perhaps,
Stoker is portraying Van Helsing as biblical Abraham that rids the world of evil and
acts morally righteous. Van Helsing performs God s work by saving humanity

Victoria s Influence On Tom Luis Luis De Victoria
The 16th century was a time of the Spanish Inquisition, which reigned for almost
400 years, forcing those who weren t Catholic to convert to Catholicism (Koeller).
Catholicism was a major influence in all aspects of Spanish life at that time, ranging
from music to art and daily living. Being a 16th century composer, TomГЎs Luis De
Victoria was greatly influenced by the Catholic Church. Most, if not all of his
music consisted of sacred pieces (Ferris). He was a Spanish polyphonic composer
whose specialty was in motets. Not only was he one of the greatest composers and
musicians of his time, he was also a scholar, a mystic, and a priest.
Victoria was born in 1548 in SanchidriГЎn, Spain, a province of Avila, Castile to
father, Francisco Luis de Victoria and mother, Francisca SuГЎrez de la Concha.
Victoria was seventh of eleven children who were born into a family already leading
vast and successful careers. Three of his male cousins (on his mother s side) achieved
success by being a naval commander, a pioneer in Mexico, and a merchant in
Florence. The merchant married Grand Duke Cosimo I de Medici s sister in law and
was ennobled. The uncle on Victoria s father s side, who he was named after, was a
lawyer who pleaded cases before the royal chancery at Valladolid (a city in north
central Spain) and was later a priest. His other uncle on his father s side was also a
priest (Stevenson).
Victoria s father died on August 29th, 1557. Afterwards, an uncle of Victoria s, Juan

A Clockwork Orange as an Allusion to Plato s Mimetic...
According to Plato, a philosopher enters the realm of universal knowledge when his
understanding is purely an abstract science. At this stage, the philosopher is in touch
with the ultimate Form of the Good, and knows what is best for man. Imagination
plays an integral role in reaching the Form of Good, because it serves as a means to
which students can understand abstract ideas and eventually reach universal thought.
In his pre modern narrative The Republic of Plato, however, Plato finds that society
can be easily consumed by the mimetic imagination, in which people are tricked into
believing that the imaginary is reality. Plato s condemnation of the mimetic
imagination alludes to Stanley Kubrick s postmodern film, A Clockwork Orange...

Plato finds this as a sufficient reason to denounce it as an agency of falsehood.
Allegory of the Cave Plato s Divided Line of four ways of thinking lead into his
Allegory of the Cave, which depicts four ways of living. The Allegory of the Cave
illustrates the effect of education on the human soul, specifically how it brings the
student through the four divisions of the Divided Line, all the way to the Form of
the Good. The scene is set in a dark cave, where a group of prisoners have lived,
and never left, since birth. The prisoners are bound by chains so that they can only
look straight ahead at the cave wall. A fire is lit behind them, and various statues
are mounted on a partial wall behind the fire, which cast shadows on the wall the
prisoners are facing. The statues are periodically moved by another group of
people, of whom the prisoners are unaware of. The stories that the shadows play
out is what the prisoners believe are the most real things in the world. Thus, the
prisoners are in the stage of imagination, because the shadows that they take to be
real are copies of copies of the transcendental being. They exist in a world of
becoming, and cling to images of the constantly changing physical world. A prisoner
is then released from his bonds and turns around to look at the fire and statues. At
first he feels pain and confusion, but then realizes the shadows he has
Kkk Motivation Essay
The KKK is using hatred between two ethnic groups; the African Americans and
the whites, as a way to show their emotion. So what is the motivation of the KKK,
what can Americans do about it, and what does the KKK do to people? The klans
motivation towards the Catholics was because they thought that the priests should
not be seen higher than the husband of the household. For example, the priests of
the Catholic Church are seen as our leader and our Shepherd of our families and the
pope is above him and God is the Shepherd of all of us in the Catholic
Church and Christian family. They had vengeance against the Jewsbecause they had
too much control over the banks. Even if the Jews did have more control over the

population of the KKK for what the KKK did to people they should not be here
today. The KKK attacked poor black families that were easy to target, attack, and

Catholics, and Gays. They raped, murdered, burned African American churches, and

The Legal Status Of The Islamic State
This paper will examine the legal status of the so called Islamic State with the aim
of determining whether it is recognised as having international legal personality.
Focus will also be placed on the principles of international legal personality more
broadly by providing a critique on the effectiveness of these concepts in international
law. Firstly a brief overview of the Islamic Statewill be given outlining their stated
goals and information important to supporting a claim of international legal
personality. Secondly we will look at the classes of established legal persons before
going into each in more detail. A major consideration of this research is whether the
Islamic State could be recognised as a State in international law. In answering this
question the traditional criteria for statehood set out in Article I of the Montevideo
Convention on Rights and Duties of States 1933 (hereinafter Montevideo
Convention) will be examined along with the relevant authorities and recent
developments in regards to the criteria for statehood. Secondly the consequences of
where the Islamic State fits within the international legal framework will be
discussed. Finally the essay will look at the effectiveness of the concept of legal
personality in international law particularly in the context of the conclusion reached
in relation to the Islamic State. The writings of a number of authoritative international
law academics along with a range of academic journal articles have been used to

Determining the Water Quality of a Body of Water Essay
Water quality is a complex term to evaluate. The health of a water ecosystem depends
on so many variables. These parameters are each intertwined and connected. For
simplicity there are several mainstream parameters that are used in conjunction with
each other to determine the water s quality. These include: alkalinity, ammonia
content, carbon dioxide, chlorine, nitrates, dissolved oxygen, phosphates, temperature,
and turbidity. The most visible sign of poor water quality is reduced animal
populations. Almost all animals will suffer if pollutants are in the water supply.
There are several ways to lower pollution levels in water.
Alkalinity is not a measure of pollution. It is a total measure of the substances in
water that have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pollution occurs when ammonia levels rise above .1mg/L. Ammonia concentrations
may be eliminated by reducing farm runoff. Often times, when there are many trees
and rooted plants runoff can be greatly reduced.
Carbon Dioxide is a universal problem. Recently the news has been parading the
information about global warming. Well, carbon dioxide is also a problem for
water systems. All animals and many bacteria use oxygen and release carbon
dioxide. This includes underwater animals and bacteria. Green plants, in turn,
absorb the carbon dioxide and, by the process of photosynthesis, produce oxygen.
When carbon dioxide levels become high animals usually suffer detrimentally. A
good way to lower carbon dioxide levels is to increase the number of green vegetation
in the water. This will allow for the oxygen levels to increase and the carbon dioxide
levels to decrease.
Chlorine is used all over the world. It remains one of the most effective means to
disinfect water supplies. The problem resides when too much chlorine enters a natural
ecosystem. Chlorine hurts animals, and in some cases people too. When chlorine
combines with products in water it produces tri halomethanes or THMs. These THMs
in high concetrations can cause cancer in people. In other words they are
carcinogenic. An effective means to lower chlorine content is to monitor this at
industrial and water supply plants. That way by the time it enters the ecosystem the
levels of chlorine won t

Boeing Australia Limited Executive Summary My decision is to continue on the
same course that Boeing Australia Limited (BAL) is on. I feel, after reading this
case study that BAL has been on the correct path with regard to building their
systems architecture. There is a need for a more sophisticated procurement process
and the issue of a procurement application may be easily found. The key is the
process by which BAL has implemented all other IT applications, they have been
very successful. They are thorough and have processes in place to rationalize
whether a new by in application or an in house developed program would be best.

There would be a learning curve and possible displacement of staff to new

understand the need for a streamlined process. The job of management will be to
proceed with caution to ensure that the knowledge base and people who have the
historical knowledge of the department are not alienated or lost. They are an
important piece of the puzzle and their experience will be critical to deciding
which system or processes are valuable. The selection of a new or add on program
is contingent on budgetary requirements. How much money would have to be laid
out for training of staff or does the knowledge already exist in the IT department.
BAL is a small company with 400 employees. The budget that would be required to
purchase a new software package could seriously outweigh the need. I believe that
a procurement program will be found within the legacy programs that are in use at
BAL. Specifically within the ERP program already being used, Compass Contracts.
There appears to be a procurement module already included and perhaps the
expansion module would suffice for BAL s current needs. BAL already has the
interfaces for this program and it is a natural progression for an existing system.

Hypertension (HTN) Or High Blood Pressure
In this essay, I will be talking about Hypertension(HTN) or High Blood Pressure. I
have chosen this topic for it is a common sickness, unfortunately, in America. Many
people do not understand it and many do not know how to treat it. I used to have
Hypertension about a year before I am writing this essay. Starting in summer 2015
I decided to start taking action to lose weight and fix my High Blood Pressure. I
decided to stop eating fast food all the time and made only once a month. I started
drinking more water and eating healthier. I lost 10 pounds in 2 months. I eventually
gained the weight back due to me growing taller in such short time. I continue to eat
healthier and strive to make a certain goal.

Self Evaluation Essay
The greatest start to the best speech is a good topic. The topic needs to be modern,
up to date, interesting and fun. All of this is depending on your audience as well,
so you wouldn t want to give a speech on the first phones invented to fifth graders.
The topic should appeal to the audience, and since most of my speeches will be
done in my communication class my audience will be current college students just
like myself. This makes it a little easier preparing a speechbecause I am a college
student as well, so I have a bit of an idea of what may or may not appeal to my
audience. There are many things that I need to consider before giving a speech,
things like, how to be fully prepared with my information, how to not bore my

And being a college student myself I know how easy it is to lose attention on
something. So I need to make sure during my speech to make it interesting and bring
a visual aide because I know that, that may help me share my information better with
students who learn better with visual aids as well as I do. As stated in our Frealeigh
and Tuman textbook If you want audience members to actively listen to your speech
and ignore everything else going on you must motivate them to focus on what you re
saying. By selection supporting materials that appeal to your listeners interest, you
sweeten the odds that they will pay attention to you. So with this I feel that by getting
something that most of my classmates or audience can connect with, will make them
feel the need to pay attention to what I m saying and actually have their full attention
the entire time.
I feel like also learning what my classmate s interests are may help me grab and
keep their attention longer. Learning how to connect my topic to things they may
like, for instance sports, famous people, or politics may help me peek their interest
and keep their mind on me and what I am saying rather than looking around or look

he snapped. Fistfights in basketball, riots in baseball, and spitting on officials were
some examples Tyson listed of athletes losing it. Tyson explained that these athletes

The Brown Wasps Essay
The Brown Wasps
In Loren Eiseley s Essay The Brown Wasps, Eiseley shows that humans and
animals act in similar ways. He says that humans and animals cling to the things
they know very strongly. Sometimes they even act as if nothing even changed.
Humans and animals tend to want to return to things that they are familiar to as
they grow older. Loren Eiseley shows how humans and animals try to cling or
recreate an important or favorite place. This essay is about memory, home, places
in time. Loren Eiseley does a great job describing the place that he is talking about
to make the reader visualize and make them feel like they are there. Some examples

Eiseley compares this to the brown wasp that wishes to die in the center of the hive.
The men came inside the train station to be around other people so that they did not
die alone. Sometimes it is the place that matters the most, the center of the hive for
the brown wasp and the bench in the train station for the old man. We cling to a time
and place because without them man is lost, not only man but life. (79).
Later Eiseley tells of a mouse that made a home in one of the flower pots in his
living room. This was no ordinary house mouse, this was a field mouse; the one
that he had seen in the field of the site of the new suburban store. It ran away from
the field where the bulldozers were and headed towards Eiseley s apartment
building. The mouse made a burrow in the flower pot and was quick to hide and
not be seen. He tried to dig the burrow deeper but failed. Eiseley then refilled the
burrow with the dirt and did not expect to see the mouse again. To his surprise the
burrow reopened but there was no sign of the field mouse. Not even the temptation
of food would draw the mouse out. He thought it would end up in some trap or
someone else s apartment.

Life Improvement Project
Gaining Traction When I first started this project, I wanted to improve on
something that doesn t have a lasting impact on my life. If I failed, I failed, and
wouldn t have to feel the shame of not completing my goals, or have the hit to my
self confidence as I outlined and wrote about my lack of success. For my life
improvement project, I decided on improving my blog, namely, my following count.
Tumblr is a microbloggingsite in which my blog is one of the millions of blogs one
can visit. My blog is where I frequently post my newest artwork and writing, and at
the start of my project, I had 96 followers. My ambitious goal was 50 new while my
modest goal was 20 new followers by the second week of March. My blog has
always been important to me, however I never really focused on the success of my
blog, but more on the fun I had doing it. I decided that focusing on my blog for
improvement would work the best for me because if I failed my goal, my blog
would still give me joy, and if I succeeded I would have new people to experience
my blog! Like all social media sites, Tumblr has peak times that posts at the most
successful. According to Union Metrics, Tumblr users are most active on Sunday
afternoons, and are generally more active during the later hours of the weekend. I...

Dehumanization Of Death In Mulan
1.2 Dehumanization of death Death is an inevitable element of military conflict.
There cannot be a movie that focuses on war and does not touch upon the topic of
death. Disney s Mulan approaches that motif in a very unconventional way. It does
not carry the universal message killing under any circumstances is wrong; it rather
creates a clear rift between what is good and what is bad and what can be forgiven
for the sake of the greater good. Judith Butler, an American philosopher and gender
theorist, wrote that [t]here can be no recognition of [one s] life being like another s
life except through the specific social norms that allow certain populations to emerge
as living beings and others to be considered as non living. We cannot be dependent...

Violence against those who are already not quite living, that is, living in a state of
suspension between life and death, leaves a mark that is no mark (36). That kind of
thinking has clearly been used in Mulan to prevent the audience from feeling any
compassion towards the Huns. There is no discussion whether or not the Huns
deserve to die as their punishment because there is no consideration of whether they
are human or not. The consensus is that since they are evil, monstrous beasts, they
need to disappear. They look like demonic creatures and they behave like a swarm of
insects. Nothing that they have done would have granted them clemency. The army
of Huns seems to enjoy destruction and killings to the point that the death under the
avalanche is almost too merciful for such humanoid beasts. On the other hand, only
the weakest of the Huns, the so called regular soldiers who are not significant to the
plot of the cartoon nor do they possess any profitable battle skills, die under the snow.
The elite of Huns and Shan Yu in contrast seem almost indestructible, the mightiest

Computerized Accounting Functions and Organizations...
TYPES OF COMPUTERIZED ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS By Kathy Adams
McIntosh, eHow Contributor Businesses use financial information to create
statements and to file income tax returns at the end of the year. Some businesses use
manual accounting systems, but many businesses opt for computerized accounting

different types of computerized accounting systems. 1. Purpose * A computerized
accounting system serves many purposes for the business owner. It improves

that record the values of individual items and phenomenons can be divided into
either real or nominal accounts. Real accounts are used to keep up to date on

Dominican Republic Migration
Underlying factors of migration The Dominican Republic
The migration from the Dominican Republic to the United States was initiated by
the US military occupation in the 1960s. The US involvement lead to a mass
issuance of visas to Dominicans in order to forestall a Cuban style revolution
(Castles Miller, 2009: 175). The migrant flows are maintained by existing links in the
form of US trade and investment in the country (Castles Miller, 2009: 28). In contrast
to most other Latin American countries the Dominicans have easier legal access to
the United States and thus can usually work in the formal economy and come and
go as they wish ( International migration and social policy underdevelopment in the
Dominican Republic author Gabriel Ondetti: 46 ). Dominican Republic is
considered to be one of the Latin American countries who most successfully adopted
the neo liberal policies in the 1990s by opening up their borders, organizing free
trade zones and attract TNCs (Diego SГЎnchez Ancochea, Domestic Capital, Civil
Servants and the State: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore social values and norms in the home country functions as a pull factor
for migrating such as status among friends and family in their own local community.
In some communities migration is a kind of rite of passage like marriage. For rural
families migration is a survival strategy.
For many Dominicans return migration is part of the initial migratory strategy
motivated by the desire to save money to meet some specific goals back home buy a
house, car, start business or return to school etc. There is a womanization of
migration in the Dominican republic due to household strategy; men are needed on
the farm and women are generally more reliable in sending remittances (Pessar and
Mahler).

Kimball s approach also involves the building of business process specific data
marts that collect the transactional components of the original data and form them
into what are known as facts (the data that needs to be measured such as sales or
purchases) and links them to well defined dimensions (the data that facts are
measured against for instance, the customers that make the purchases, the employees
that make the sales, and the dates those transactions occurred). This results in a
logical structure commonly referred to as the star schema data mart. It derives its
name from the star like appearance of a central fact table sorrowed by multiple
dimension tables with each dimension table linked only to the fact table. The main
advantages of the dimensional model over the normalized model are greater
performance and quicker time to initial benefit. The dimensional model achieves this
performance via the simplified logical structure of the star schema data mart greatly
reducing response time when reacting to user requests as opposed to the spread
Essay about Rocky Shore Investigation
Rocky Shore Investigation
Null Hypothesis:
There is no pattern to the distribution of organisms over a rocky shore.
Variables:
Factors that affect the distribution of organisms over an area of shoreline are:
В· The depth of water which may cover an organism at high tide.
В· How resistant an organism in the littoral zone is to dessication.
В· How efficiently an organism can conserve water.
В· The proximity and availability of nutrition.
Stations ========
I think that stations 1 4 are in the sub littoral zone of the rocky shore.

Also they may not inhabit zones 13, 14 and 15 because there is nothing for them to
feed on there. Limpets were most common in stations 9 12, therefore we can deduce
that the predominate seaweeds here are what they mainly feed on. The species of
seaweeds in these stations were mainly Fucus vesiculosus, Ceramium and
Lithothamnion. My research tells me that juvenile limpets are brought up in the
Lithothamnion, therefore we can presume that this is where they like to graze. Out of
Lithothamnion, Fucus vesiculosus and Ceramium the limpet population follows
Lithothamnion availability the best. Also, the limpets are perhaps the most well
adapted of all the marine snails for a life on the exposed rock surfaces. Each limpet
has its own home an exact spot on the rock where it stays when the tide is out. On
soft rock, the limpet grinds it with its shell to make an exact fit; on hard rock, the
shell is ground down to fit the rock s shape. This tight fit allows the limpet to trap a
spoonful of water inside to stop it drying up. A strong foot muscle gets a firm grip
on the rock, making it difficult for birds to prise off the limpet.
The periwinkles (Melarhaphe neritoides) on the shore are much more spaced out
and were found in every quadrat bar one. They were also in abundance in the mid

Carnival Of Fury Summary
William Ivy Hair s Carnival of Fury elaborates on the life of Robert Charles and the
events leading New Orleans to the race riot of 1900. Hair quoted newspaper
articles printed during Charles life to include society s reaction and provide a white
Southern perspective of African Americans. Hair s original objective was to uncover
what Charles experienced during his youth, and discover what prompted him to
shoot innocent people from the second floor of 1208 Saratoga St. on July 27, 1900.
Although the South vilified Charles and deemed him the catalyst for the raceriot, Hair
sought to clarify Charles motives and discover what led him to commit senseless

Charles while he lived in New Orleans. Charles was keenly interested in the
prospect of African migration and for a time advocated it. Charles was described as
someone who deeply resented the disfranchisement of his race in Louisiana. (107).
Charles was deeply infuriated when he learned of a gruesome lynching near
Newnan, Georgia. This chapter also included Charles exchanging fire with two
New Orleans patrolmen and fleeing. The next chapter included Charles murder of
two police officers, and afterward sought refuge at 1208 Saratoga St. The next
chapter consists of white rioters beating and murdering innocent people in search of
Charles. Finally, the remaining chapters dealt with Charles ultimate gun battle
between he and the whites of New Orleans, and the implications that arose after
Charles was killed. Hair states that If Robert Charles had remained all his life in
that remote sharecropper s cabin along Bayou Pierre, New Orleans might still have
had a race riot before the summer of 1900 was over. (137) Hair defended this

Embezzlement In The Workplace
Worldwide, there are hundreds, if not thousands of crimes being committed everyday
towards businesses. Unfortunately, not all crimes committed are being reported or
handled until it is too late. Embezzlement is one of the many crimes that can affect
any business. The first thing to understand is the meaning of embezzlement.
Embezzlement is the misappropriation of funds placed in one s trust or belonging to
one s employer. The difference between embezzlement and stealing is that
embezzlement is done from the inside.
Employee embezzlement can happen in any business. However, it affects smaller and
newer businesses in high numbers due to the fact that the employers do not have a

This process may be strengthened through increased promotion of the hotline in
company mailings, internal communications, newsletters and company website.
Some businesses will actually reward the caller, if they choose to be identified later,
with perks for calling in a reliable tip. Unfortunately, not all business has an employee
hotline.
It is unfortunate that many businesses have already suffered a huge lost and even
closed its doors forever based on the greedy of others due to greedy and personal
issues. Embezzlement can be considered a second degree felony based on the amount
stolen and can be punishable with jail or prison time, fines or both. This can vary
depending on that state the crime was committed in.
In conclusion, Donnie Wright should have gotten more jail time based on the
amount of money taken from the business. Taking over $ 300,000 and only getting
sentenced to 37 months is just unacceptable even if he did plead guilty. This type of
lost can ruin a business and affect hundreds of business that bank with this company
which would cause a bigger lost to the bank if investors and companies pulled their

Female Offenders And Sexual Abuse
As the video states that today there are three times as many women in prison as
there were just ten years ago, the sizable number of female offenders had serious
drug problems, more than half were victims of physical abuse, over a third had been
sexually abused, and about a quarter those offenders has attempted suicide. Many of
the women offender are not married or they are single parents, or they may have run
away from home and is without home fighting to survive. Women were less likely
than men to have offended and committed a crimebecause women grow out of
crime, they are most likely to desist from offending in their late teens. Many of the
offenders have been in the jail because of their family background, as in the
documentary Heather Zerangue said her mom has been to prisonand because the
judge knew about her history, he had said to her that he was gonna put a stop to her
before she got on her mother`s track. There are many women convicted of
manslaughter or murder because they have committed murder of their boyfriend or
husband during abuse toward them or someone close.
Women in the prison face many problems, some resulting from their lives prior to
imprisonment, and others resulting from their imprisonment itself. Women in prison
have experienced victimization, unstable family life, school and work failure, and
substance abuse and mental health problems. Social factors that marginalize their
participation in mainstream society and contribute to the rising number

Juxtaposition In Alice s Adventures In Wonderland
Juxtaposition: Juxtaposition is a literary device that places two persons, places, ideas,
concepts, or themes close together for contrasting effect. Juxtaposition is placing two
things side by side to be compared and contrasted.
Quote: Alice sighed wearily. I think you might do something better with the time, ...
If you know Time as well as I do, said the Hatter, you wouldn t talk about wasting IT.
It s HIM.

Polarization In Politics
The implications of these impacts are likely to be widespread and influence many
areas related to the American political system. At this point I will turn to examining
research strategies to examine the potential implications of each of these three shifts
in four areas, public participation at local levels, interest group control over
information, media frames regarding polarization, and policy feedback in the absence
of policy actions.
The shift in policy focus from the Federal level to the state level on a number of
issues raises questions about the quality of representation in regards to these policies.
The nationalization of House elections, and the use of state legislatures to redraw
district lines call into question the representative nature of the process that permits
these incidents to occur. Perhaps it is simply that the election of Republicans to
numerous state legislatures represented public wishes to reshape the electoral system
of the country at large.
To determine if these local elections are being driven primarily by a small group of
individuals that is radically different from the population in general, the
characteristics of those who turn out to vote at local elections should be compared to
those that turnout in national elections. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The increasing combative polarization illustrated by Abromowitz and Webster
(2015), along with the evaluation of party identification as a type of social identity
(Iyangar et al. 2012) increasingly points to a view of political parties as opponents
rather than colleagues. Highly polarized political elites can override media frames
(Druckman et al., 2013), indicting that the battle between parties may be more than
simply a debate about ideas. The gridlock and shift toward obstructionism
exacerbates this, by providing media with an easily adaptable frame of combative
Gender Roles In Jamaica Kincaid s Short Story Girl
Gender roles have held a dominant position in our society since the beginning of
humanity. From birth children learn from their parents and society what feminine
and masculine consist of and the responsibilities that come with either one. Gender,
rather than being a biological concept is cultural one, varying from culture to
culture. Both males and females are categorized by certain mannerisms, behaviors,
and interests that society has set forth expecting them to follow such rules. Women
are expected to play the role of a housewife making sure the home is a livable space
and taking of the children while on the other hand, men are expected to be the ones
who provide income for the family. In Jamaica Kincaid s short story Girl the author

excerpt talks about some of the roles her mother believes a woman of her culture
should follow. It shows that ironing, preparing food, and cleaning the house are
traditional female roles and are expected to be done only by the female gender. By
tradition, a man is expected to be the one who brings in the money for the household
and a woman the one to take care of the home. This stereotype sets forward the idea
that for a household to function there must be both genders present. Without a male, a
household won t have an income and without a female there won t be a progressive

of the dynamic aspect of transference may be summarized as a process by which
the patient transfers onto his analyst past experiences which he previously
experienced in relation to significant persons such as his mother, father or siblings
earlier in life. The patient is unaware of this false connection, and experiences the
feelings not as if they belong to the past but as directly relevant to the present. In the
case of Zahra, at the beginning of counseling, she used to react to most of my
statements and comments in a defensive and aggressive mode. I believe that she

In this respect, they shared some memories of their childhood and adolescence
when they wanted to say something in the class and they did not get the chance to
do that. In these occasions, they would have insisted on sharing their point even if
the time had passed and the discussion was over. Doing so, made their teacher, in
preschool, to consider it as a sign of ADHD when Morgan said something
irrelevant to the class discussion. Morgan remembers that the point that they
insisted on sharing, belonged to previous class discussion that they did not get the
chance to talk about it earlier. It may probably be explained from recurrent
conflicts perspective. Based on this perspective, patterns of conflict remain
relatively immutable as a childhood acquisition (Schlessinger and Robbins, 1975).
In Morgan s case, my interpretation is that when they do not get the chance to talk
or to assert their point, they feel neglected. Being neglected is so intolerable for
them because they have been neglected since being a child and it caused them to go
through tough experiences in their life. For example they were sexually and
behaviorally abused by their step father for some years while their mother knew
about that. Morgan explicitly referred to such experiences as indications for being
neglected by their
Petruchio Monologue
Studying The Taming of the Shrew through performance led me to understand the
power of language and importance of speech. [The play was a comedy, so I had a
lot of fun with Petruchio s outspoken character and exaggerated persona. In order to
perform as him, I needed to understand his underlying motivations.] Petruchio is
defined by two motivations: wealth and dominance. His main motive to wed
Katharina is to gain wealth, for the dowry he will receive once they are married.
This is shown by his emphasis and haste to ask for the dowry when he first meets
Katharina s father. He asks, Then tell me, if I get you daughter s love, / What
dowry shall I have with her to wife ( )? Baptista responds, After me death the one
half of my lands, / And in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He demeans Katharina through sexual innuendos. For instance, when Katharina
calls him a nice stool, Petruchio responds with Thou hast hit it: come sit on me
(2.1.209). His quick response with a sexual innuendo shows his imperviousness to
her insults. That is why I chose to say this conceited and loud to show that he is
pleased about his swift counter Katharina s biting remarks. At the end of the
encounter between Katharina and Petruchio, Petruchio ends with a speech
declaring that they will be married, no matter how much she opposes it or defies
him. He says in his monologue, For I am he am born to tame you Kate, / And bring
you from a wild Kate to a Kate / Conformable as other household Kates (2.1.291
293). Here, Petruchio is seen as declaring control Katharina. That is why I chose to
say this in an assertive manner, staring directly into the eyes of Nabiha, who was
acting as Katharina, while slowly and confidently walking towards her, backing her
into a corner. I emphasized wild and conformable to convey the dominating role of
Petruchio. This also foreshadows the alarming lengths he later goes to impose
dominance over

Chapter 9 12 I.D. Terms 1. Washington s Farewell Address an essay George
Washington wrote to stay neutral from foreign affairs. We need to stay focused on
well being of U.S. since we are a new country. For the next 150 years, the U.S. didn
t sign an alliance. Isolationism formed from this address. Twice however, the US
got involved in the European struggle. 1) in 1798 in opposition to France amp; 2)
in 1813 in opposition to Great Britain. He basically said he was totally for the
Neutrality Act amp; he also said to avoid political parties. IT will only cause
disagreements. He made this address because he didn t want to serve his 3rd session
and made the tradition of 2 per president. 2. Federalist Papers aimed to convince

Erik Erikson s Personality And Sense Of Self
From the day we are born to the day they die, development is a continuous process
in which we grow as an individual and develop our sense of self. The various
factors that contribute to shaping us into the way we are, such as our memories,
experiences, the way we were raised, even our culture has the strength to impact
who we are to become. Throughout a person s lifespan, there are many obstacles
one must face in order to acquire certain skills that will be of use as we transitions
from one stage to the next. The idea of moving from one stage to a another was
derived from developmental theorist, Erik Erikson, it was his belief that one s
personality and sense of self develops in a series of stages. Additionally, the
lifespan serves as a foundation for social development, occurring in stages from
infancy to adulthood. (Berk) The necessary conflict provided by each stage serves
as a developmental milestone, in which a psychological quality will or will not be
gained. With regards to Erikson s theory, as of now, I have experienced six of the
eight stages of development. The first, being the construction of the basic trust vs.
mistrust, occurring during the time of infancy (0 1ВЅ years) According to my parents
I was described as an easy baby, with a phlegmatic temperament, therefore I was not
very fussy nor tricky to care for. However, when there was an instance where I did
cry my attentive parents would assure that my needs were met. Thus, the trust forged
with my parents
Dionysus Research Paper
Dionysus : He is the god of fertility of nature and men, wine and intoxicated ecstasy.
He is also the of of God of Theater and is also considered to be a bringer of
destruction and delight . Dionysus is the son of Semele ( a mortal woman) and Zeus.
There are numerous myths surrounding his birth, one being that after Semele s death,
Dionysuswas saved by being sown in Zeuss thigh. There are numerous festivals
which are celebrated in Dionysus honor, like Anthesteria and Country Dionysia.
Dionysus ends up marrying Ariadne, who is the daughter of king Minos. Dionysus
is important for the study of Greek Myth because he defies categorization. For
example , he is a twice born god, he was raised as a girl and he is the immortal who
died. Additionally,
The Godfather the Movie Essay
The Godfather the Movie
THE GODFATHER, made in 1974, details the Corleone crime family in Manhattan
during the mid 1930s. The Don, Vito Corleone, played by Marlon Brando, leads his
organization against a relentless narcotics push by a rival family, the Sollozzos.
Vito Caleone does not want anything to do with drugs because he believes they will
be the downfall of the Mafia. The story, covering a ten year time period, offers a
rich tapestry of Mafia life from the inside, drawing the audience into witnessing the
transfer of power within a close knit family
According to the October 1999 issue of Entertainment Weekly , THE GODFATHER
is one of the greatest movies of the decade. Rarely can it be said that a film has
defined a decade, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Special effects play a huge roll in modern day films; they are mainly used to grab
the attention of the audience. In the making of THE GODFATHER, very few special
effects were used. The director, Francis Ford Coppola was able to capture the
audience s attention with a terrific cast, and a captivating story line. The movie
explores many aspects of real life such as family responsibility, a father s legacy, the
need to earn respect and the corrupting influence of power. These are some of the
ingredients combined in Francis Ford Coppola s masterpiece. The movie ran close to
three hours and every scene was better then the last; not boring the viewer throughout
the entire performance.
Throughout the film, Michael Corleone played brilliantly by Al Pacino, experiences a
major change in his way of thinking. Michael changes from believing that what his
family does is wrong, to believing that his family s crimes are a necessary evil. He
begins by insisting to his girlfriend that his family s crimes belong to his family, not
to him. He was not involved in the business and did not want anything to do with it.
By the end of the movie, most of the Corleone family have been murdered. Michael
organizes the execution of several people within the other crime families as the
Corleon family s new Don, having reasoned that these murders are necessary. Feeling
that he must follow in his father s footsteps he transforms from an innocent bystander
to the central manipulator.

Essay Of Reading

  • 1. Essay Of Reading Crafting an essay on the theme of "Essay of Reading" presents a unique set of challenges, as it delves into the intricacies of both the act of reading and the art of essay writing itself. The difficulty lies in striking a balance between insightful analysis and engaging expression, navigating through the vast landscape of literature and the multifaceted aspects of reading. Firstly, the challenge emerges from the broad nature of the topic. Reading encompasses a myriad of forms, from literature to academic texts, each demanding a nuanced approach. • 2. PE Classroom Pool Analysis In the pool phase of the PE class, we learned three major components: how to kickboard, how to tread water, and how to do different strokes. To start off each day in the pool, we warmed up using kick boards and had people start on each side of the pool. When using a kickboard, we must make sure our two hands are at the top of the board. The way we used the kickboard involved kicking in the way of the freestyle stroke. Watching the youtube video, I learned kick boarding is described as allowing you to target your legs, isolating them so you can practice your kick stroke, improve your balance, or work on your leg strength. The first stroke we learned to do was how to do the freestyle stroke. With this stroke, you must focus on reaching out in front as far as possible, and pulling the water back behind you while kicking in a fluttering motion. The motion of your arms should look like a windmill spinning. In the backstroke, the swimmer has his or her back facing the bottom of the pool while flutter kicking their feet and doing their arm strokes. The way the backstroke is different is because with the arm stroke your arm is going in the opposite direction as the freestyle stroke and you must let your outside little finger enter the water first for the most efficient way to catch and push the water. Lastly, we learned the breaststroke. In the breaststroke, your legs are kicking in a frog like way to push the water back with the bottoms of your feet. In the youtube video it says that you must sweep your arms outward while trying to catch as much water possible. When at the end of the arm stroke, the swimmer s head can come out of the water to take a breathe. Those are each of the stroke we have used during class time in Physical Education

JIANPING FAN) NoSQL database, also called as not only SQL database, is using a different data storage and retrieval mechanism from the relational tables adopted by traditional relational database management system. In the sense of CAP (Consistency, availability and tolerance) theorem, NoSQL database sacrifices some consistency features to get more availabilities and partition tolerances. In most cases, NoSQL database systems are distributed and parallel, although the RDBMS is still dominating the database market, the NoSQL databases are becoming more and more popular and in a tendency of catching up, especially in the domains of SNS and major Internet companies, which requires large scale data storage for massively parallel data processing across a large number of commodity servers. The purpose of this report is to understand main characteristics of the NoSQL database and compare the strengths and weaknesses of NoSQL databases over the RDBMS. NoSQL database has witnessed rapid development since it was first used by Carlo Strozzi in 1998. Various systems were implemented by using different approaches: column, document, key value, graph, etc. In this report, I will also present the main features of those different models and compare their advantages and disadvantages. Managing urbanization is an important part of nurturing growth; neglecting cities even in countries in which the level of urbanization is low can impose heavy costs. Historically, urban infrastructures have materialized as a response to emergent issues, natural disasters are just an example of them. In the more distant past, construction has been a driven by localized issues such as sanitation, flooding or fire. At this stage, the philosopher is in touch with the ultimate Form of the Good, and knows what is best for man. Imagination plays an integral role in reaching the Form of Good, because it serves as a means to which students can understand abstract ideas and eventually reach universal thought. In his pre modern narrative The Republic of Plato, however, Plato finds that society can be easily consumed by the mimetic imagination, in which people are tricked into believing that the imaginary is reality. The Allegory of the Cave illustrates the effect of education on the human soul, specifically how it brings the student through the four divisions of the Divided Line, all the way to the Form of the Good. The scene is set in a dark cave, where a group of prisoners have lived, and never left, since birth. The prisoners are bound by chains so that they can only look straight ahead at the cave wall. A fire is lit behind them, and various statues are mounted on a partial wall behind the fire, which cast shadows on the wall the prisoners are facing. The statues are periodically moved by another group of people, of whom the prisoners are unaware of. The stories that the shadows play out is what the prisoners believe are the most real things in the world. Thus, the prisoners are in the stage of imagination, because the shadows that they take to be real are copies of copies of the transcendental being. They exist in a world of becoming, and cling to images of the constantly changing physical world. A prisoner is then released from his bonds and turns around to look at the fire and statues. At first he feels pain and confusion, but then realizes the shadows he has

  • 17. Determining the Water Quality of a Body of Water Essay Water quality is a complex term to evaluate. The health of a water ecosystem depends on so many variables. These parameters are each intertwined and connected. For simplicity there are several mainstream parameters that are used in conjunction with each other to determine the water s quality. These include: alkalinity, ammonia content, carbon dioxide, chlorine, nitrates, dissolved oxygen, phosphates, temperature, and turbidity. The most visible sign of poor water quality is reduced animal populations. Almost all animals will suffer if pollutants are in the water supply. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pollution occurs when ammonia levels rise above .1mg/L. Ammonia concentrations may be eliminated by reducing farm runoff. Often times, when there are many trees and rooted plants runoff can be greatly reduced. Carbon Dioxide is a universal problem. Recently the news has been parading the information about global warming. Well, carbon dioxide is also a problem for water systems. All animals and many bacteria use oxygen and release carbon dioxide. This includes underwater animals and bacteria. Green plants, in turn, absorb the carbon dioxide and, by the process of photosynthesis, produce oxygen. When carbon dioxide levels become high animals usually suffer detrimentally. A good way to lower carbon dioxide levels is to increase the number of green vegetation in the water. This will allow for the oxygen levels to increase and the carbon dioxide levels to decrease. Chlorine is used all over the world. It remains one of the most effective means to disinfect water supplies. The problem resides when too much chlorine enters a natural ecosystem. Chlorine hurts animals, and in some cases people too. When chlorine combines with products in water it produces tri halomethanes or THMs. These THMs in high concetrations can cause cancer in people. In other words they are carcinogenic. An effective means to lower chlorine content is to monitor this at industrial and water supply plants. That way by the time it enters the ecosystem the levels of chlorine won t

Sometimes it is the place that matters the most, the center of the hive for the brown wasp and the bench in the train station for the old man. We cling to a time and place because without them man is lost, not only man but life. (79). Later Eiseley tells of a mouse that made a home in one of the flower pots in his living room. This was no ordinary house mouse, this was a field mouse; the one that he had seen in the field of the site of the new suburban store. It ran away from the field where the bulldozers were and headed towards Eiseley s apartment building. The mouse made a burrow in the flower pot and was quick to hide and not be seen. He tried to dig the burrow deeper but failed. Eiseley then refilled the burrow with the dirt and did not expect to see the mouse again. To his surprise the burrow reopened but there was no sign of the field mouse. Not even the temptation of food would draw the mouse out. He thought it would end up in some trap or someone else s apartment. The El in Philadelphia was the familiar place for the pigeons to come and know that they would be feed by people near by. • 25. Dehumanization Of Death In Mulan 1.2 Dehumanization of death Death is an inevitable element of military conflict. There cannot be a movie that focuses on war and does not touch upon the topic of death. Disney s Mulan approaches that motif in a very unconventional way. It does not carry the universal message killing under any circumstances is wrong; it rather creates a clear rift between what is good and what is bad and what can be forgiven for the sake of the greater good. Judith Butler, an American philosopher and gender theorist, wrote that [t]here can be no recognition of [one s] life being like another s life except through the specific social norms that allow certain populations to emerge as living beings and others to be considered as non living. Violence against those who are already not quite living, that is, living in a state of suspension between life and death, leaves a mark that is no mark (36). That kind of thinking has clearly been used in Mulan to prevent the audience from feeling any compassion towards the Huns. There is no discussion whether or not the Huns deserve to die as their punishment because there is no consideration of whether they are human or not. The consensus is that since they are evil, monstrous beasts, they need to disappear. They look like demonic creatures and they behave like a swarm of insects. Nothing that they have done would have granted them clemency. The army of Huns seems to enjoy destruction and killings to the point that the death under the avalanche is almost too merciful for such humanoid beasts. On the other hand, only the weakest of the Huns, the so called regular soldiers who are not significant to the plot of the cartoon nor do they possess any profitable battle skills, die under the snow. The elite of Huns and Shan Yu in contrast seem almost indestructible, the mightiest creatures of hell facing against humans, partaking in an unequal

Dominican Republic Migration Underlying factors of migration The Dominican Republic The migration from the Dominican Republic to the United States was initiated by the US military occupation in the 1960s. The US involvement lead to a mass issuance of visas to Dominicans in order to forestall a Cuban style revolution (Castles Miller, 2009: 175). The migrant flows are maintained by existing links in the form of US trade and investment in the country (Castles Miller, 2009: 28). In contrast to most other Latin American countries the Dominicans have easier legal access to the United States and thus can usually work in the formal economy and come and go as they wish ( International migration and social policy underdevelopment in the Dominican Republic author Gabriel Ondetti: 46 ). This results in a logical structure commonly referred to as the star schema data mart. It derives its name from the star like appearance of a central fact table sorrowed by multiple dimension tables with each dimension table linked only to the fact table. Variables: Factors that affect the distribution of organisms over an area of shoreline are: В· The depth of water which may cover an organism at high tide. В· How resistant an organism in the littoral zone is to dessication. В· How efficiently an organism can conserve water. В· The proximity and availability of nutrition. Limpets were most common in stations 9 12, therefore we can deduce that the predominate seaweeds here are what they mainly feed on. The species of seaweeds in these stations were mainly Fucus vesiculosus, Ceramium and Lithothamnion. My research tells me that juvenile limpets are brought up in the Lithothamnion, therefore we can presume that this is where they like to graze. Out of Lithothamnion, Fucus vesiculosus and Ceramium the limpet population follows Lithothamnion availability the best. Also, the limpets are perhaps the most well adapted of all the marine snails for a life on the exposed rock surfaces. Each limpet has its own home an exact spot on the rock where it stays when the tide is out. On soft rock, the limpet grinds it with its shell to make an exact fit; on hard rock, the shell is ground down to fit the rock s shape. This tight fit allows the limpet to trap a spoonful of water inside to stop it drying up. A strong foot muscle gets a firm grip on the rock, making it difficult for birds to prise off the limpet. At this point I will turn to examining research strategies to examine the potential implications of each of these three shifts in four areas, public participation at local levels, interest group control over information, media frames regarding polarization, and policy feedback in the absence of policy actions. The shift in policy focus from the Federal level to the state level on a number of issues raises questions about the quality of representation in regards to these policies. The nationalization of House elections, and the use of state legislatures to redraw district lines call into question the representative nature of the process that permits these incidents to occur. Perhaps it is simply that the election of Republicans to numerous state legislatures represented public wishes to reshape the electoral system of the country at large. To determine if these local elections are being driven primarily by a small group of individuals that is radically different from the population in general, the characteristics of those who turn out to vote at local elections should be compared to those that turnout in national elections. ... From birth children learn from their parents and society what feminine and masculine consist of and the responsibilities that come with either one. Both males and females are categorized by certain mannerisms, behaviors, and interests that society has set forth expecting them to follow such rules. Women are expected to play the role of a housewife making sure the home is a livable space and taking of the children while on the other hand, men are expected to be the ones who provide income for the family. Being neglected is so intolerable for them because they have been neglected since being a child and it caused them to go through tough experiences in their life.
