The externalities of taxation on capital gain have been a controversial debate among
scholars, economists and policy makers along the timeline of ever changing tax
reforms in the history of the United States. This introduction covers all the possible
externalities that change in marginal tax rate can have on investors incentives and
timing to sell, portfolio strategy, tax revenue collected by the government and the
social welfare changes.
The first thing to clarify is that there are both positive and negative externalities on

we only consider the static analysis, we have a negative externality that the tax

Causes of Calcification
The abnormal accumulation of calcium in tissues where it should not be
physiologically found happens as a result of many factors. This buildup of mineral
may occur in specific tissues/ organs or widely throughout the body. While some
instances of calcification may be completely harmless, there are those that may signal
serious underlying disorders. These factors may be broadly categorized into two
major causes, namely an elevated calcium blood level (hypercalcemia) and tissue
injury, both which may be triggered by a plethora of conditions.

Hypercalcemia or increased blood level of calcium is calcium found in a
concentration that is higher than the usual range of 8.5 to 10.2 mg/dL. However, this

Damage to blood vessels, for example, results in the formation of an atherosclerotic
plaque with fat accumulation that over time becomes calcified. Another example of
tissue injury with the formation of calcium deposits is in breast tissue, where fatty
acids are released and combine with calcium and grow over time that may result in
processes such as noncancerous fibrocystic changes.
In cases of extensive tissue necrosis, the inflammatory response leads to calcium
chemo attraction and healing with possible permanent calcification. This type of
calcification may be caused by infections (e.g. viral or bacterial) and is often seen in
the lungs. In instances of chronic inflammation, such as pancreatitis from excess
alcohol consumption, or repeated damage to tissues in areas such as the tendons of
the knees, shoulders and ankles, calcium deposits may also form.

season ago. Gale is confused and he continues on walking to his station. He finds
out that Brian will be his sleeping buddy causing lost of controversy over the

Plainsong is a novel written by Kent Haruf, that takes place in Holt Colorado. In
this book Tom Guthrie is left to take care of his two boys, Ike and Bobby, as a
single parent after their mother left them. Victoria Roubideaux grew up without a
father figure, her mom kicked her out after she found out she was pregnant and
Victoria was left to find somewhere else to live. And the McPheron brothers live out
in the country by themselves taking care of their cattle. The theme of this novel is
loneliness, every one of these characters are experiencing loneliness throughout this

Tom Guthrie and his two boys, Ike and Bobby, began the theme of loneliness right

through from birth to adulthood. The four stages include: the sensorimotor stage,
preoperational stage, concrete operational stage, and formal operational stage. The
sensorimotor stage begins at birth and usually lasts up to two years of age. At this
stage infants begin to participate and discover different sounds, see and touch their
surroundings and various objects that catch their attention. By one month, an infant
has learned reflexes such as to suck and grasp for nutrition (Santrock 178). By 18 to
24 months of age an infant masters object permanence, where the infant comes to find
out that even though an object may be hidden behind another or disappears, they will
continue to search because of their understanding that the object continues to exist

William Edward Burghardt Du Bois was an African American sociologist,
historian, civil rights activist, co founder of NAACP, and author of The Crisis
which is the longest running black publication in the United States. Du bois was

about five years after the emancipation proclamation, and three years after the
