2. What You Should Think About Revealing Your House
Tip #6, Forget about fancy landscaping/ornaments: Sorry to say this but fancy
landscaping and ornaments should normally be a gardening no no since it ends up
looking like a small wood looking very dark and cold, which sometimes look like it
s staring at us (with red eyes). It s still hard to imagine how people even fancy these
stretched out gardens, and high exotic plants, isn t it obvious that something or even
someone could be hiding there? Waiting for you to finally exit the house, or exit the
car for the house (it s either one or the other). So, this is what you should think
about, you should think about revealing your house (so that at least you are not
isolated and a good Samaritan or nosy neighbor can call the police if anything... Show

They re wealthy! And by the third second, they have their eyes pointed at your car
(too). They keep on staring at the car, and that s when they realize that they just
have to come and rob these people! . This is not the accurate mind processing of a
career robber, but oh well! Who knows how they come up with their plot anyway?
So, things such as inflatable swimming pools, bikes, gardening material, the
beautiful furniture you ve decided to take out (just because!) needs to be, stored
/packed and sealed (awaaay). It s time to think about not encouraging potential
burglars to hide in your garden so cut and control your plants and start storing all
the unnecessary stuff you ve got piling up in your front yard (or back yard) (use
that as a practice exercise). Tip #7, Use smart tricks: There s nothing trickier than
pretending to say goodbye to someone when you go away for holidays in order to
trick people with bad intentions, or again, where you can place a wooden dowel or

A broundaryless organization are organizations that are not defined or limited by
horizontal, vertical, or external boundaries imposed by a predetermined structure

Jack Welch the Chief Executive of General Electronics came up with the term of a
boundaryless organization. This report would help Gerd Finger company Newskool

The freedom to telecommute with international employees remove geographical

sense of pride in the ability to change and meet the demands of the situation fostering
a strong work ethic.
Cultural Issues within a Boundaryless Organization
In order for Newsool Grooves to become an effective bourdaryless organization,
they also have to consider some of the cultural issues that will affect a company
operation system. These issues can consist of what happens in different parts of the
world and whose employees may not be representative of the national cultures of
each country. Several organizations have employees with different cultures that
collaborate their work skills to achieve the organizational goals. Employees are also
very diverse in values, personality, and work preference which are deep level
diversity (Hirschhorn Gilmore, 1994). Some cultural issues are sensitive and will
create unpleasant things among employees in the workplace. Bettering the surface

The Telegraph
In The 18th and 19th century the Industrial Revolution took place. This was a period
of time where rural societies became industrial. This introduction to machinery
brought a lot of change to areas around the world. For example, the way individual s
communicated needed some improvements. These improvements came during the
Industrial Revolution.
In the 1830s and the 1840s the telegraph was developed by Samuel Morse, Sir
William Cooke, Sir Charles Wheatstone, Leonardo Gale, and Alfred Vail. However,
people had to communicate before this invention. Ancient civilizations would use the
land s resources to communicate. One tactic they utilized was smoke signals. One
inherent problem with the use of fire to communicate is the weather. Additionally,
another way of communication was the use of the semaphore. In the 1790s the
semaphore was developed. The semaphore used multiple hilltop stations. On these

Alessandro Volta invented the battery in 1800. Shortly after in 1820 Hans Oersted

the morse code. The alphabet was translated into dots and dashes. Originally a
telegraph operator would mark the signals on paper, then translate them back into

hearing the clicking of the receiver. A receiver became apart of the process. The
receiver would pronounce the beeping sounds. Allowing the operator to translate the

10. Argumentative Essay On Bullfighting In Spain
Bullfighting has existed for thousands of years and it has been popular in Spain for
nearly a millennium. Its cultural, economic and social impact to the Spanish culture
is undeniable, but it is a theme that has encountered a very heated debate over the
past years. Anti taurine claim that bullfighting is indecent, unnecessary and barbaric,
but their arguments are often unsubstantiated. The aggressive and bloody nature of
this spectacle has always created extreme positioning among people on whether being
in favor or not.
I saw my first ever corrida in the ВґВґValenciaВґs Plaza de TorosВґВґ back in 2008

Segment C is the scene that consists of the cherub statues, the collapsing iron gate,

In segment B the shots continue to intensify the narrative especially seeing the
helpless baby in the carriage on the cusp of descending down the steps, and then the
solider slashing people with his saber, and the woman who was shot in the eye. In
my opinion, these all continue to intensify the narrative because the shots are brief

whereas segment C disrupts the continuity of the scene. Segment A is also disruptive
like segment C because of the title that says and suddenly, and the lady who is

In 1949 china was under the expression of a communist state. The regime of china
was set up in similarity to the regime of Vladimir Lenin in the Soviet Union. Mao
Zedong was part of the communist party. He followed the vision of Karl Marx, by
envisioning a society under his regime that all shared equal prosperity and
communism. In order to bring this vision to reality, he wanted to eliminate all
capitalism and its emphasis on property rights, profits, and free market competition.
In the 1950 s in the rural of china, Mao banned free markets, which involved peasants
selling farm products. However the trade of capitalism still existed through the
private enterprise of remnants. Mao was dissatisfied with the outcomes towards an
economy of Marxism. So he strived for a stronger approach by coming up with the
Great Leap Forward. However, after the intense economic development that china
had suffered from the great leap forward, it left millions of individuals throughout
china suffering from the masses and deaths from the collapse of the food system.
Because of the major consequences that were suffered from this approach it was
unable to be left unnoticed. So, in 1960 after Moa Zedong declined all
responsibility towards the disaster from the Great Leap Forward, Lui Shao chi and
Deng Xiaoping were left to rectify and administer the crisis. However, their attempt

California of 1962. A California statute inflicted a cruel and unusual punishment on

18. Pit Bull Liability Research
Pit bulls are a breed of dog that are notoriously labeled as being dangerous and as
having a propensity to attack without warning. Statistics gathered from 2005 through
2015 found that Pit bulls accounted for 64.4 percent, or 232, of the 360 deaths of
Americans suffered due to dog bite injuries, while only making up about 6.6 percent
of the total U.S. dogpopulation. Due to these statistics, there are many who defend
enacting statutes that specifically point to incidents involving these dogs needing
strict liability to protect third parties.
The Maryland Court of Appeals, for example, held in Tracey v. Solesky (2012) that
owners and landlords are liable for injuries caused by pit bulls and cross bred pit bull
mixes, describing them as inherently dangerous. The judgment of this court ruling
meant that it was no longer necessary to prove that a pit bull who attacks a person
or that pit bulls in general are dangerous; all pit bull owners are automatically held
to a strict liability standard under Maryland law. This case established a new standard
of liability for a specific breed of dog due to what some would argue is their

others from being harmed by their pet, they are still held responsible for any

which I can help them communicate with people from around the world.
I have done my own internet searches and conducted my own personal research about

English. It is obvious that learning Spanish as a second language here in the United
States is the most practical choice if we want to use our new found language on a

In the famous case of Suresh v Canada, Suresh was a Sri Lankan born Tamil. He first
came to Canada in the year 1990 and made a refugee claim based on fear of
persecution by the Sri Lankan government. He was also the supporter of the Tamil

saying that Suresh was inadmissible to Canada on security grounds. Suresh was

determination of whether it was rational, and the court approve the Ministers

21. Insanity Essay
The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success, as Bruce
Feirstein would say. The insane are merely the ones who are not given their chance
to change the world. They are, instead, locked away before society begins to take
grip on the ravings of the mad man. Genius, on the other hand, is what is created
when the insane are given their time to speak out. When Renfield began to address
himself to the question he was confronted with, he did so with the utmost impartiality
of the completest sanity. This leads the astute reader to wonder if renfield was, in
fact, completely sane but driven to madness while being locked within the confines
of an asylum. Even the sanest person may have insane tendencies when over... Show

When Renfield was speaking to the men on various subjects, he stated that, I am at
least as sane as the majority of men who are in full possession of their liberties .
Which shows that even the lunatic knows that he is just as the rest of the world,
and that he could handle himself in the real world. Many lunatics could, in fact, be
admitted into daily society. Dr. Seward does not know what it is like to be insane,
so he has no way of knowing what makes the insane differ from the sane. Seward
stated that he believes himself and the others insane and that he, expects them all to
wake to sanity in strait waistcoats. To put it simply, only the insane take themselves
seriously. That is the genius showing itself to the world. Seward stated that he was
beginning wonder whether or not his habit of life amongst the insane is beginning
to tell upon his own mind. If that be so, he is gaining a valuable asset in the fight
against idiocy. Accepting insanity can create the balance needed to fully understand
the world in a way considered opposite of the rest of society. When Van Helsing was
breaking the ice on the existence of vampires, he mentioned that the teachings and
records provide proof enough for sane peoples. It is as though he is saying that even
people that are completely sane should be able to understand that vampires are, in
fact, real. That creates an interesting
22. The Federal Reserve System
The Federal Reserve is a federal system enacted to help balance the monetary system
of America. Overall, the system is meant to encourage economic growth. However,
there are some flaws of the system that result in economic chaos, such as stealing and
inflation. It s vital to understand the biblical principles that are overstepped by the
Federal Reserve to determine if it is a system that aids Christian practices. Thus, one
can observe the important role that the system plays, but also the problems that its
flaws can create by overstepping Christian principles.
The Federal Reserve system was created to help maintain a balance for the monetary
system in America. Not only does it help regulate the flow of currency, but it also
oversees banks and therefore influences Americans on a personal level with their
finances. Evidently, the system is deeply webbed into the federal system and
everyday American life that it is now the system that is largely used help to keep
order to the economy. While the system has been beneficial, it s also had its moments
where it has created chaos. For example, the system has caused inflation, which has

stable country and economy. However, this doesn t necessarily mean that the system

2.Discuss the differences between DDL and DML? What operations would you
typically expect to be available in each language?
Data Definition Language (DDL) statements are used to define the database design or
schema while Data Manipulation Language (DML) statements are used to manage
data with Schema objects.
In DDL, we have operations like
CREATE: To create objects in database.
ALTER: Alter the structure of the database.
DROP: Delete objects from database.
TRUNCATE: Removing all records from the table.
COMMENT: Add comments to the data dictionary.
RENAME: rename the object.
In DML, we have operations like
SELECT: Retrieve data from the database.
INSERT: Insert data into the table.
UPDATE: Updates existing table.
DELETE: Deletes all the records from the table, the space for the record remain.
MERGE: UPSERT operation (insert or update)

25. An Adaptive Intern At Tiger s Gymnastics
Challenges:
One of the challenges as an adaptive intern at Tiger s gymnastics is working with
kids with a wide range of disabilities. Most of these disabilities I have never been
introduced to before, and what I am learning is that the actives I do with one kid,
might not be an option for another. The best method I have figured out, is to take
things slow. I let the gymnast set the pace, and I react based off their confidence level
and willingness to participate.
A lot of the gymnasts I work with have limited verbal communication skills. How
they express their wants or displeasure may come in the form of grunts, screams, or
physical movement. Recognizing and deciphering these actions at times can be
tricky. Giving the gymnasts plenty of notification on what we are going to do next,
and paying attention to their body language when a request is given, seems to reduce
the amount of times that they will panic or be unhappy with what is going on.
One challenge that I have faced internally, is not being afraid to be goofy around the
kids. At first, I was worried that acting silly would be embarrassing, but I quickly
realized that it didn t matter. The point is that the gymnasts have a good time and
enjoy themselves, and not my own level of comfortability. Once I got over the fear
embarrassed, I realized that all the coaches around me were doing the same thing,
and nobody was paying attention at all minus my gymnasts who enjoyed my goofy
and silly behavior.

27. The Technology And Social Trends
When it comes to investing, millennials have a different approach than their parents.
Young investors, who have been through two market crashes, have developed
skepticism and mistrust towards banks and traditional advisory services. Many
millennials prefer to save and forgo investing all together. For those willing to test the
market, technology and social trends play a significant impact on their decision
making. With millennials now outnumbering baby boomers in the U.S., many
traditional financial servicesstrive to connect with the younger generation. This
comes on the heels of a noticeable upward trend in financial technology and online
wealth management. Through the use of technology, robo advisors have built a
successful foundation for attracting young investors.
Technology
Given their love of technology, it comes as no surprise that millennials are
gravitating towards financial technology. Young investors are accustomed to using
technology for every aspect of their lives and investing is no different. Their
relationship with technology makes digital asset management more appealing. Young
adults are more inclined to make choices via a smartphone over in person
interactions. Not only do millennials prefer accessible apps and web based platforms,
but automation has played a major factor in the success of robo advisors. Millennials
are accustomed to subscribing to all their services electronically. To them, investing is
another service that should be automated. Compared

29. Analysis of The Complete Maus, by Art Spiegelman
When reading a traditional book, it is up to the reader to imagine the faces and
landscapes that are described within. A well written story will describe the images
clearly so that you can easily picture the details. In Art Spiegelman s The Complete
Maus, the use of the animals in place of the humans offers a rather comical view in
its simplistic relation to the subject and at the same time develops a cryptic mood
within the story. His drawings of living conditions in Auschwitz; expressions on the
faces of people enduring torture, starvation, and despair; his experience with the
mental institution and his mother s suicide; and occasional snapshots of certain
individuals, create a new dynamic between book and reader. By using the form of...

some basic necessities for survival, as a tinsmith he found people to trade for food

Vladek had to salvage anything that might be of value to someone else and
eventually was even able to move his wife closer so he could keep an eye on her.
Soon his obsession with saving anything he can get his hands on starts to make
sense. As you take in the story of Auschwitz, there are moments when you realize
how easily he Vladek is telling the story. He describes times when the prisoners are

30. The History of African Americans in Film Essay
Minstrel shows were developed in the 1840 s and reached its peak after the Civil
War. They managed to remain popular into the early 1900s. The Minstrel shows
were shows in which white performers would paint their faces black and act the role
of an African American. This was called black facing. The minstrel showevolved from
two types of entertainment popular in America before 1830: the impersonation of
blacks given by white actors between acts of plays or during circuses, and the
performances of black musicians who sang, with banjo accompaniment, in city
streets. The father of American minstrelsy was Thomas Dartmouth Daddy Rice, who

singing of songs with harmonized choruses, the exchange of jokes between the
endmen and the performer in the center seat (Mr. Interlocutor), and the introduction
of special variety acts at the conclusion of the bill. Though many of these shows
claimed that these were true African Americansongs that had been brought back by
people who had observed plantation slaves, this wasn?t necessarily true. For
example one of the more common songs such as ?Jim Crow?by Thomas Rice was
simply inspired by a crippled African American that Rice had seen dancing and
singing a song with the chorus of ?Wheel about, an turn about, an do jis so, Eb ry
time I wheel about, I jump Jim Crow.? Many people were lead to believe that this
was how every African American sang and danced and failed to realize that this
was simply the way one man did it. Actual African American actors were rare at the
time. There were only a few African Americans that actually appeared on stage and
those who did only had minor roles such as servants or shoe shiners. This was
mainly because the world was used to African Americans being slaves doing jobs
such as these and people weren?t ready to accept African Americans as equals yet.
There had however been several attempts of African American stage performance
such as New York?s African Grove theater. This theater was founded
31. What Led Gandhi s Resistance To Civil Disobedience
Peaceful resistance to laws impacts a free society in a positive way. If people were
to resist laws in a destructive manner it would cause a great outburst of violence
not solving the problem at hand. I believe that when people resist laws in a peaceful
manner they get respected and followed by almost everyone, like the protest led by
Mohandas Gandhi. Gandhi protested for India s freedom from the British rule which
began on March in 1930, he had a history of fighting for Indians rights, this was just
one of his many battles that he won. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhiwas born on

rights in India. He would help peasants, farmers, labourers protest against land tax
and discrimination. He led nationwide campaigns for poverty, women s rights,

atrocities associated with the slave trade that previously had been known only to
those more intimately involved with it and began an entire new genre known as the

Before Equiano s narrative, slaves were a faceless mass with no individuality or
humanity to speak of. His slave narrative put an individual, educated, Christian face to
the ongoing brutality.
Although both Rowlandson and Equiano s narratives were the first and most
influential narratives at the time they were written, the differences between the two
are much more significant than their similarities. The most noticeable difference
between the two narratives is the portrayal of the captors. While Rowlandson
demonized her captors and dwelled on every slight that she received, and even
though Equiano received much worse from some of the white men that he
encountered, he often wrote of his admiration for them, their education, and the
friendship that was bestowed upon him. Equiano even wrote of one boy who was
particularly nice to him, I regarded [him] ... as ... my friend, whom I loved, and
grieved for, as a brother (691). The differences in this portrayal can be directly
ascribed to the different purposes with which the narratives were written. Rowlandson
demonized the Indians partly because she was writing to the Colonialists in an
attempt to strengthen the Colonialists hatred of the Native Americans. In this case it
would not have been logical to write of their virtues. Equiano, however, was trying to
get his captors to sympathize with his cause. While it was

Throughout history, pride and determination have motivated people to do amazing

determination aided the creation of The World s Columbian Exposition.
The Devil in the White City is a novel that covers the creation and construction of the
1893 World s Columbian Expo. The novel contains two plot lines. The first plotline
follows Daniel Burnham. Near the beginning of the book, Burnham is left alone to
work on the project after the death of his partner, John Root. Through the rest of the
novel, Burnham faces many obstacles that threaten the creation of the World s

new challenges, such as turning a profit in a suffering economy. Despite all the

were created to defend Canada, and fought not only in the war but for the recognition
that Canada deserved, to then show that in the Great War we achieved something
great, and finally to piece together to how Canada is now, to build through the years
and show that this was truly Canada s greatest achievement.
The Canadian Corps and CEF were formed to protect Canada in times of war. The
Canadian Corps was formed as an operational force in France and Flander s Field
in 1914. Collectively every troop that were deployed were referred to as the
Canadian Corps. The Canadian Corps was sent out in 3 divisions, the first sent to
England in 1914 and trained on the Salisbury Plain and then crossed over to
France to join the war. The second division was formed in 1915 and immediately
sent over to France. The third was a fully manned and equipped combat division
disbanded at the end of the First World War. These divisions were each sent out as a
small operational force that defended Canada. However
42. Essay about North by Northwest, by Alfred Hitchcock
Alfred Hitchcock s film North by Northwest (1959) is famed as a classic man on the
run thriller, following protagonist Roger Thornhill as he flees across state lines in a
mad dash to save his life and unravel the mystery to his extraordinary predicament.
However, mid way through the film Thornhill s quandary is further complicated by
the introduction of Eve Kendall, a beautiful yet mysterious woman he encounters on a
train during his escape from the authorities and people trying to kill him. During the
dining room scene on the train, Hitchcock expertly uses the camera to convey the
characters thoughts and feelings. Interestingly, in a film that has several sequences
with complicated cinematography and editing, the dining car scene is... Show more

Once the flirtations between the two in intensify, Hitchcock transitions into using
close shots, beginning when Eve discloses her bribe arranging Thornhill being
seated with her, and her subsequent reveal that she knows Thornhill wanted for
murder. The use of the close shot provides a better, more intimate view of their
expressions as they banter back and forth and the sexual innuendos ramp up.
Thornhill s thoughts are particularly evident across his face as he changes from
showing interest in the attractive woman across from him, to tension at being
recognized by her, to unabashed glee at the prospect of sleeping with same said
beautiful woman, and finally to alarm as he learns police are boarding the train. In
contrast to Thornhill s expressive looks, Hitchcock shows Eve s as being more
controlled and understated. Throughout her linguistic dance with Thornhill, Eve
manages to maintain an air of surety about herself, revealing only those pieces of
information that she wants him to know. She manages to exude a sense of cool
certainty and control during arguably the most sexually suggestive moment of the
film: in the only profile shot of the scene, the camera shows Eve as she slowly
blows out the flame on the match Thornhill uses to light her cigarette, clasping his
hand as she does so. This aura of calm calculation gives the sense that she is in
complete control, no doubt due

TISSUE STRUCTURE amp; FUNCTION
There are 4 types of tissue in the body. Epithelial tissue covers the body, connective
tissue is used for protection and support, muscle tissue (there are 4 different types)
and then the nerve tissue which is used to send messages around the body.
Epithelial Tissue
It covers the whole surface of the body and it can be identified by one cell attached
to another and is one cell thick or it sometimes has multi layers of thickness.
Epithelial tissue protects the organs from damaging and also protects it from tension,
it also protects the body from dirt, dust and bacteria and other things that may harm

The connective tissue so normally found in the cartilage.
Muscle tissue: the muscle tissue is a voluntary muscle this moves the skeleton which
includes striated, this muscle covers the stomach. There are three main types of
muscle tissue: skeletal muscle, smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. The skeletal
muscle is found where the bones are, the smooth tissues is found near the internal
organs and the cardiac muscle is where the heart is.
Skeletal Muscle: these muscles come in different size and shapes that are designed
for the fibres, they have really tiny strands of stapedium muscle.
Smooth muscle: is normally found in the internal organs such as blood vessels,
digestive tract, bladder and the womb. It is capable of tightening and pushing the
food through the gut. Smooth muscle cells are in line to one another and act as a
single unit.
Cardiac Muscle: this muscle is different from the other two muscle type because this
is only found in the walls of the heart. This muscle is an involuntary muscle meaning
that it pumps on its own. The cardiac muscle works by squeezing the blood out of
your heart and then relaxes to fill your heart with blood.
Nervous Tissue: These cells are made up or neurons and is used to carry messages
to and from different parts of the body. The nervous tissue is found in the brain,
spinal cord and nerves. It is responsible for controlling the body activities. It plays a
major role in emotions, memory, and

45. Essay about Faulkner s Condemnation of the South in...
Faulkner s Condemnation of the South in Absalom, Absalom
William Faulkner came from an old, proud, and distinguished
Mississippi family, which included a governor, a colonel in the Confederate
army, and notable business pioneers. Through his experiences from growing up in the
old South, Faulkner
has been able to express the values of the South through his characters.
William Faulkner s Absalom, Absalom offers a strong condemnation of the
mores and morals of the South.
Faulkner s strong condemnation of the values of the South emanates
from the actual story of the Sutpen family whose history must be seen as
connected to the history of the South (Bloom 74). Quentin tells this ... Show more

To fulfill his quest, Sutpen
spends his entire life trying to repeat the past only to correct it (Bloom
38). He has a grand design to be the son who seized the power of his
father and then be the father to keep that same power from being seized by
his own son (Searle 23).
The first step of Sutpen s design includes marrying Eulalia Bon and
having a pure white son named Charles Bon. When Thomas Sutpen realizes
that Charles is partially Negro because of Eulalia s heritage, he rejects
them both and is forced to start his design over. This is Faulkner s way
of condemning racism in the South. Thomas Sutpen later marries Ellen
Coldfield and has a second son named Henry and a daughter named Judith.
Thomas Sutpen s design is nearly complete when Charles shows up from his
46. first marriage and falls in love with Judith, nearly uniting the two
families. This incestuous relationship causes Henry Sutpen to kill Charles
Bon to save his family from miscegenation. Using incest in this novel is
another way that Faulkner condemns the mores and morals of the South.
Thomas Sutpen tries two more times to fulfill his design by trying
to have a pure white son and refusing to let that son seize the power that
he had successfully seized from his father.
47. Cosmetic Chemistry Personal Statement
When people fall in love with people, I fall in love with cosmetic. My desire to
learn more about cosmetic began when I found out there are many makeup
products contain animal ingredients or its by product. From there, I started to do
more research and studies on the components in a cosmetic product. As a Muslim
who is a makeup enthusiast, it is uncommonly important for me to wear makeup
that is free of animal and alcohol content. At that point, I thought to myself, what if
I create my own halal cosmetic line. I have always loved the idea of creating
something by myself and it gives me a huge sense of gratification upon actually
completing it. Also, the opportunity to be involved in something which makes a
difference to the world is something I greatly desire. I believe there s no other way
to feel these achievements than when I am a cosmetic chemist. The course I have
chosen will able to give me the pathway to realise my ambition as a cosmetic
chemist. My main aspiration is to create my own halal cosmetic brand which is
animal free and vegan friendly. I do not have a favourite subject because I enjoy
learningfrom a various educational field. However, I do find myself more enthusiast
and spending more time focusing on Chemistrycompared to other subjects I have

48. Ku Klux Klan In The 1920 s Analysis
SUMMARY
Both essays offer valid point of views on the recently debated role of KKK in the
1920 s. The no perspective written by Thomas Pregram acknowledges the large
presence of the second wave Ku Klux Klan and uses earlier views of the Group to
back his argument. His argument is despite the new size of the KKK majority of
America still strongly disagreed and resented the protestant group. The adverse
view point says the KKK was a mainstream political group and this argument is
stated in Shawn Lay s essay. Lay argues that the KKK was mainstream not
necessarily because of the size of the KKK but because of the following the Klan
had outside of its members. He disagrees with the label of an extremist group and
believed the groups ideals ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These states are invalid in the argument of popularity as they did not exemplify the
average American but rather the political control of an extremist group at the state
level. Further assurance to the claim of extremism can be found in a quote from a
Klan member himself. A Klan historian David A. Horowitz recalled the position of
the KKK at this time as, the normality of extremism. This solidifies my views of the
Klan s dominance at this time, not even a member of the Klan sees their group as
mainstream. I will agree although the KKK soon will become even more successful
as it gains urban popularity. I believe this is where the proponent of the mainstream
theory has the most validity. The KKK does something new in this era achieving
more urban popularity than ever before. The statistics on the urban popularity are as
follows, up to fifty thousand in Chicago, thirty eight thousand in Indianapolis, thirty
five thousand in Detroit, twenty three thousand in Denver, and twenty two thousand
in Portland Oregon. The presence in of the new Ku Klux Klan is undeniable in cities
across America and is very much different from the previous waves grassroots. The
reason I still believe the Klan was not Main stream despite its urban popularity is the
Klan s attach of its own
49. 19th Century Photography Research Paper
Have you ever noticed that in 19th century photography the images captured through
a lense developed black and white images that were mostly distorted and hard to
understand? If people were captured through a lense they were usually not smiling, it
was an odd period for photography. Photography has always been a contentious fine
art used by artists to capture art. Concerns have been raised to whether photography
should be considered an art or a science, since both are incorporated to create art .
Photography was considered more true to reality. Photography has been around for a
while now, and although the concept of the camera has been known in the ancient
past it was not until the nineteenth century when the technology... Show more content

This allowed more than one copy of an image. Along with this new technology and
his experimenting the calotype photography method was introduced and patented
in 1841. In the past exposure time usually took hours to develop, but the collodion
method that solved the problem of long exposure time to shorter exposure time of
about 3 5 minutes along with clearer photographs. This was possible by adding a
gun cotton substance onto a glass plate. The Collodion method did have his
disadvantages, for one thing the image had to be exposed and developed while the
silver iodine coating was still wet. This was an inconvenience to the photographer
because he/she had to immediately run to the portable darkrooms to develop the
images after they were captured. As technology and advanced so did the need for
more creative photography emerged. For instance, Honore Daumier s pushed the
standards of photography and was able to capture the aerial view upon a hot air
balloon. However, he must have had a difficult time capturing images with the wet
collodion
50. Mission Command For The Commander And His Staff
Title
Throughout history commanders and leaders at all echelons in armies across the
globe have been required to make many decisions that affect operations both at home
and abroad. These decisions were based on many different facts and assumptions
available to the commander and his staff and then synthesized to produce orders for
the various missions that were conducted across a myriad of operational
environments. In today s Army, commanders utilize the philosophy of mission
command, which became prominent in the 1980 s. They do this through integration
of the warfighting functions when conducting unified land operations (ADRP 6 0).
The purpose of this paper is to explain mission command and how to integrate and
apply this philosophy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Build Cohesive Teams The first principle is build cohesive teams through mutual
trust. Building trust takes time and effort and requires commanders to work
diligently to earn and then keep that trust. This is one reason why battlefield
circulation is so important. When commanders and leaders take the time to get to
know their Soldiers they build a relationship that helps form a bond of trust.
Create Shared Understanding The second principle is to create shared understanding
so that all units involved have a clear understanding of their operational environment,
its purpose, problems, and approaches to solving them. Commanders must share their
vision so that everyone knows exactly what their purpose is and how they can help to
achieve mission success. When we understand the operational environment, the
problem, and how to work to solve the problem we become vested in the operational
outcome as a whole.
Provide a Clear Commander s Intent The third principle is provide a clear
commander s intent. This is very essential to the mission and operational success
because it helps provide for unity of effort. The commander s intent must be clear and
concise so that it cannot be misinterpreted or misunderstood.
Exercise Disciplined Initiative The fourth principle is exercise
51. Similarities and Differences of Hilter and Napolean
Founder and leader of the Nazi party, who many describe to be the most insane and
trouble causing man in the history of the entire world. Adolf Hitler s goal was to
make Germany the strongest country in the world, which he did, along with most
of Europe. His armies of over sixteen million men were standing by his side the
whole way. Although he had a large group of followers, he also had an even larger
group of people who were against him. Adolf felt that if he did not remove all of
the Jews from the face of the earth, he would have been seen as a failure, so he tried,
and he tried, and he tried. But in the end, he failed. This then led to him believing that
he was a failure, which then led to him shooting himself in the mouth.... Show more

Besides the fact that he conquered Moscow, the Russians did not surrender. Instead,
they burned the city before the French got there, so the shelter and supplies that
Napoleon was counting on were destroyed. So, his army had to retreat back to
Germany, while being chased and hunted by the Russians. The whole Russian
campaign ended up as a complete failure. He lost almost all of his 500,000 men that
he had started with. In 1810, he divorced Josephine and married the daughter of the
Austrian Emperor, Marie Louise, in a last attempt to improve relations. Upon his
return to France, the Prussians, Russians, Swedish, and the British started the War
of Liberation against him. His army was soon forced over the Rhine at the Battle
of Leipzig. However, the allied armies did not accept the plan and they demanded
that the brother of Louis XVI, Louis XVIII, be put on the throne. Napoleon was
sent to rule the Island of Elba in 1813 with the British Navy guarding the Island.
But, in 1815, he returned to Paris and his old armies quickly gathered around him,
already sick of the new king. The allies were threatening to invade France again since
they heard of the return of Napoleon, so he quickly organized a new army and
marched them into Belgium to meet the British and Prussian armies. In Ligny, he
defeated the Prussians and then marched to Waterloo to meet the British under
Wellington. At first, he was doing well in the battle.
52. Good Will Hunting and Bell Hooks Keeping Close to Home

Going off to college is probably one of the best things a person can do to further their
education. The promise of a degree from a university seems achievable but is
shadowed with the many challenges that come with a higher edification. Often many
college students find themselves bothered by these obstacles which can determine
whether the college student succeeds or not. There are many endeavors in college but
it depends on how the student reacts to these situations.
This synthesis will examine the motion picture Good Will Hunting and an essay by
an author Bell Hooks entitled Keeping Close to Home: Class and Education. Both of

shadowed by the aggression that Will Hunting has to over come. Very defensive and
isolated Will Hunting is befriended very slowly by Sean McGuire to open up his
emotional problem and to let them go. Will Hunting s inability to trust, love and
communicate handicaps him to do well in life with careers and relationships.
In the essay entitled Keeping Close to Home: Class and Education, the author Bell
Hooks tells of her struggles when she goes off to the prestigious college Stanford
University at the age of 18. Coming from a working low class economic background
hooks deals with ridicule from her family and the difficulties of adjusting from a
lower class to a higher class setting at Stanford. The dilemma that Hooks face with
her family is; she states, My parents had not been delighted that I had been
accepted and adamantly opposed my going so far from home (p. 161). Reason for
this adamant feeling was that Hooks was brought up during a period when women
didn t really leave the house to go to school. It was unheard of to leave a small town
in the south and go to a big college out in the west. Especially if Hooks was going to
be by her self her parents did not like the idea that she would be far away from
