The City Of Greater Shepparton
City of Greater Shepparton is situated 191 km away from Melbourne and in Northern Victoria it is a
large city. The population is about 230,000 with major industry, hence providing employment and
service. Therefore agriculture is a favourable and major production area. It is forecasted agriculture
will play a significant role in the development and growth of northern Victoria. Recent years the
region was affected with a range of challenge in drought, flood, and implementation of Murray
Darling Basin Plan. Although the region has faced difficulties there has been continues growth across
all major industries. As it is located in the centrally location, with affordable real estate, extensive
business opportunity. It has been one of the exponentially growing region. An outstanding opportunity
to reform Greater Shepparton into Central Business district (CBD) into a modern, lively and desirable

Separation of Power
It should be remembered that the notion of the doctrine is in the assumptions that the three organs of
the government and its functions should be distinguishable from one another. The idea of abandoning
the notion of the doctrine means all functions of the government can be performed by one organ for
example executive takes all government functions like enacting the law, interpreting the law, provides
people s welfare, determines the rights of the people.
In our opinion, we do not wish to abandon the doctrine of separation of power but however, this
notion shall follow the Montesquieu approach as he provides for a separation of power that aims at
having separate institutions doing separate function by separate personnel and having the ... Show

Thus all legislative power is vested into congress, the executive power is in president, and the

Separation of power promotes efficiency in the administration. Through separation of powers, each
power of the government has to be assigned with their own duties, judiciary, also legislature, and these
duties should not be interfered. To say to control administrative action it means to control executive
from interfered with other organ duties, since administrative we mean executive. Example executive

Hunger Games Microeconomics
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins can be analyzed in various ways; it is comparable to
numerous dynamics within the environment and social systems around us. Perhaps The Hunger
Games is a story about the inequalities and divisions of society, a reflection on the effects of a
degrading environment, a stab at the centrally powered authoritative system of government, or even a
cynical parody of reality television. It may in fact be all of these things combined to express an
exaggerated speculative fiction; the concept that there is always some past or present truth in fiction
and in the possibilities of our future, which Brianna Burke explained in her essay titled Reaping
Environmental Justice through Compassion in The Hunger Games . The ... Show more content on

Ecofeminism is a term used to consider gender inequality and environmental practices simultaneously.
Katniss name, along with Rue and Primrose, in and of itself is a reference to nature. Katniss
simultaneously displays her masculine tendencies by having a dominant and assertive quality. The
environment is commonly associated with femininity, however Katniss relationship to nature is a bit
different than most females because she encompasses both nurture and dominance. Katniss assumes
the role of a caretaker for: her family by venturing off into the woods to hunt for food, Rue when she
was dying in Katniss arms after being speared, and Peeta when she risked her life by making her way
to the Cornucopia to retrieve medicines he needed to survive. This nurturing trait is commonly
associated with the role of a feminine character because women are perceived to be less driven to
conquer and more compassionate towards others and the environment. Women are often sexualized
and masked to seem appealing to others, which was highlighted when Peeta confessed his love for
Katniss before the games began; He [Peeta] made you look desirable! And let s face it, you can use all
the help you can get in that department. You were about as romantic as dirt until he said he wanted
you (Collins, 135). Throughout the game, Katniss used her femininity to

The Martian
Written over a period of 3 years, The Martian by Andy Weir became quite the success. Originally self
published as an e book on Amazon the book later became a huge hit in the science fiction genre. This
is due to the fact that it appealed to both the casual readers and the hard core science fans. In 2014 the
book was officially published by Broadway Books. It contains a total of 369 pages
The book takes place on Mars and more specifically Acidalia Planitia, a plain in the North part of the
planet. The habitation module or Hab for short is where our survivor will be spending most of his time
while not in his rover. Another location is the Hermes, the spaceship where the rest of the crew is. The

While evacuating due to the severity of the storm the communications antenna breaks and hits Mark
Watney knocking him out. Believing him dead his crew reluctantly continue the evacuation. Waking
up to find out he is the only person on the planet Mark starts preparing his plan to survive. Using his
home made dirt and rationing his food he hopes to be able to live until the Ares 4 mission arrives a
couple of years later. Watney regains communication with NASA after bringing Pathfinder, an old
rover that died in 1997, back to life. While attempting to create water Mark creates an explosion that
causes the death of many of his crops. Realizing he will no longer have enough food to last the 3 years
of wait, NASA hastily prepares a resupply mission. Cutting some corners to save time causes some
safety procedures to be overlooked. The resupply mission ends up exploding shortly after launch.
Having little to no choice the crew aboard Hermes decide to use a manoeuver to flyby Earth and
return to Mars for Mark. Watney proceeds to the Ares 4 mission site to be able to reach the Hermes
with the Ascent Vehicle. After making modifications to the vehicle to make it lighter Mark gets ready
to return home.
Mark Watney: Main Character, is a botanist and an engineer. He is a very important part of the book.
The Crew: Other than Commander Lewis, very little is said about the crew which includes Martinez,
Beck, Johanssen and Vogel.
Commander Lewis: Head of the Ares 3 mission, Lewis is responsible for everyone. She is the one that
calls the shots and decides to reroute Hermes to go back for Mark.

Compare And Contrast Long Way Home And The Pedestrian By...
Future society is an extremely unpredictable subject, because people all have different views on life.
Charles G. Waugh author of the short story, Long Way Home tells a story about a caring father losing
his son, due to the world s advanced technology. On the other hand in the short story, The Pedestrian
by Ray Bradley, individuals are completely addicted to technology, allowing technology to over rule
the world and take over people s minds. Although both stories show a possible outcome of the future,
the more realistic future will most likely be The Pedestrian . As society progresses authors such as

Juvenile Corrections Research Paper
Of course, we are all familiar with the overcrowding in our prisons, well within the last decade or so
we have seen an increase in how many juveniles are now being tried as an adult then ending up in our
adult prison system. Statistics show that instead of helping the youth of our nation, the justice system
has given up on them and parents are tired of their children sentenced to a life in prison.
What happened to the fundamentals of our correction system? Are we not supposed to try and reform
them while deterring them from future criminal behavior? If we could apply the practices
implemented towards helping youth offenders we could see a decrease in how many children we see
locked up with adults. There are programs that teach new cognitive skill methods that show alternative
outcomes geared specifically towards determent from poor decision making that has resulted in repeat
offenders.
Professionals within the criminal justice system can t even find middle ground, leaving them divided

Dallas Symphony Orchestra Performance Review
I attended a performance by The Dallas Symphony Orchestra on Thursday November 19, 2015 at the
Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas. There was also a brief performance by The Women
of the Dallas Symphony Chorus as part of the last piece of music performed. The Meyerson Center is
a beautiful venue with brilliant architecture. The inside of the actual concert hall is set with a mood
that makes the listening experience magical. The works performed prior to the intermission and the
main piece included Prelude to Act 1 from Palestrina by Hans Pfitzner and Concerto for Violin and
Orchestra by Philip Glass. Prelude to Act 1 from Palestrina was slow, low and lovely. The woodwind
section sounded beautiful, although perhaps I m partial to woodwinds ... Show more content on

This included 7 different movements in representation of all planets except Earth. First was Mars, the
Bringer of War. The music was powerful and engulfed all your senses. It seemed to say, I am
triumphant! I loved it! Part 2 was Venus, the Bringer of Peace, which was obviously calmer and more
soothing. It was too slow for my personal taste though. Part 3 was Mercury, the Winged Messenger.
This section sounded whimsical to me and I really enjoyed the more upbeat tune it had. It made me
think of cartoon animals scurrying through the forest. Part 4 was Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. I didn t
really feel any cheerfulness from this section like I had anticipated. I don t think it was sad, I just didn
t hear the jolliness in it. Part 5 was Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age. It started out very slow. I must say
I was distracted for the first portion of this planet because it didn t catch my attention until about half
way through. Then the music became loud and full. It was almost dramatic before it died back down
to a peaceful tune. It was as though the music was accepting old age . Part 6 was Uranus, the
Magician. I loved the use of all the different percussion in this piece. The tinkling of the xylophone
gave it a magical feel and the drums, cymbals, and gong made the music exciting. Finally part 7 was
Neptune, the Mystic. This was another slow piece. I however

Interactionist Perspective Of Conflict Analysis
There are varying perspectives that give sociologists different views on the purpose of sociology. For
conflict theorist, their view of society is less of a system that works together, but rather a macro
competition of power struggles and conflict. The purpose in this view is that conflict affects the
human condition; as a result of a conflict, something like wanting to further get power and wealth, or
anything else that is in short supply, will arise in institutions that will serve the interests of the
powerful. The functionalist perspective views that the overall macro function of society is structure
and agreement. For instance, institutions, such as religion, education, and family, each result in a
different order as well as overlapping ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other perspectives mainly focus on the whole picture and claim that interactionists micro view of
society is a downfall rather than an asset. With that aside, interactionism perspective has given
sociology three more branches of theories, with one being social action theory, symbolic
interactionism, and Ethnomethodology. These theories can be applied to education, your religion, as
well as crime; the theories would then be applied to small groups and not institutions, such as the
government or the economy. One interactionist theory that has the potential to change the way we
think is the labeling theory, where if one were to be labeled as a slacker, then it would result in that
person acting and filling in that preconceived notion. For interactionists, their view on the purpose of
sociology is that change is dynamic and is always in the process of being created and that it is the
people who exist and act through communication and negotiation that together build the

The 1967 Film The Battle Of The Algiers
The 1967 movie, The Battle of the Algiers, follows the story of the Algerian revolt against the French
government. The film, focusing mostly on the Arabs point of view, portrays an unstable period of time
during the French colonialization of Algeria. Throughout the movie, the gender politics shown are
greatly troubling to a modern audience, with women being treated like objects during the entire revolt.
This also ties to the idea of morality within the film, showing that the terrorists are heartless and
uncompassionate towards the French people. The film not only highlights the morality issues with the
Arabs, but also the French treatment of the Algerian revolutionaries.
The gender differences throughout the movie prove to be extremely unsettling,

The And Vocation Questionnaire For College Students
Introduction How is a calling (the search for or the presence of) mediated by student reported
measures such as, academic satisfaction, withdrawal deliberation, and major commitment among
college students? To explore the research questions this review will use the Calling and Vocation
Questionnaire (CVQ; Dik, Eldridge, Steger, Duffy, 2012) to measure calling. Measurement of the
variable of academic satisfaction will be facilitated by a seven item measure developed by Lent, et al.
(2005). Withdrawal deliberation measures will be adapted from Pleskac, et al. (2009). The variable of
major commitment will be measure through the academic major satisfaction survey (Nauta, 2007).
Review of Instrument The CVQ is a 24 item, self report measure that assesses an individual s belief
that they have a calling, and/or the individual is searching for a calling (Dik, et al., 2012). The
instrument s purpose as described by its authors is to assess calling in the domain of work (Dik, et al.,
2012, pg. 243). The CVQ includes three subscales that relate to the search for a calling (Search
Transcendent Summons, Search Purposeful Work, and Search Prosocial Orientation) and three
subscales that relate to the presence of a calling (Presence Transcendent Summons, Presence
Purposeful Work, and Presence Prosocial Orientation). The items are endorsed by the test taker on a
Likert style scale of one to four, one being Not at all true of me and four being Absolutely true of me .

Psychoanalysis Perspective Kate Chopin
Psychoanalysis is a form of therapy which aims to cure mental disorders by investigating the
interaction of conscious and unconscious elements in the mind (Comise Oxford Dictionary). It is
elaborated by Sigmund Freud (1856 1939). Psychoanalysis is a rather detailed and complicated theory
of personality and motivation of what makes people do what they do. It is also a type of therapy.
Simply put, psychoanalysis involves the exploration of a person s unconscious thought processes
through methods such as free association saying whatever comes to mind and dream analysis. It is
included ego, super ego, and id, Defense Mechanism, and Projection. Then for this analyzes I would
use ego, repression, and Projection.

A Short Note On Scsi Test Vehicle ( Stv )
Introduction
SCSI Test Vehicle (STV) is a project to develop an FCP Storage emulator using FICON Express 16G
channel adapter present on System z machine. STV is a specialized Firmware (FW) load into a
channel adapter that provides the function of a FCP Target (Fibre channel SCSI Storage Control Unit).
STV emulates IBM shark disk storage.
This document is intended at describing the design and implementation of STV Emulation support on
Power Servers/Blades. The scope of this document is mainly limited to STV component in STV Type
FC channel firmware. This document contains information collected from other documents and design
discussions. STV Emulation support on Power Servers/Blades enables qualification/test floor teams to
use the STV Type channel firmware to test SCSI stream protocol capable devices not just on system z
but other servers such as zBX and zFX as well. Problem Statement
The Current STV based storage emulator requires a FICON express I/O Hardware and system z for
emulation. This is useful for testing in a System z environment but proves uneconomical in regular
zBX or zFX qualification. Moreover since STV uses the resources within the FICON express module,
which are limited. Emulation of Enhanced features such as multipath or increased LUNs is not
possible. This limits the test coverage of the test team. This project tries to work around some or most
of the limitations by moving STV emulation to a Power server.
Limitation of STV:

The Religion Of The Nation Of Israel
Abram, a pagan gentile called from a pagan land and culture, became the patriarch of the Nation of
Israel. Moreover, through God s covenant with him his numerous descendants inherited Palestine and
from them came Messiah, the blessing to all peoples on earth. Understanding the culture of Ur of the
Chaldeans, Abram s place of origin, requires a determination of where this area was located and
analyzing archaeological discoveries of that area in conjunction with other disciplines of biblical
study.
About 1800 B.C. Abram s father, Terah, took his family and left Ur for Canaan but settled in Haran
where Terah died. Haran was located in the southern part of modern day Turkey. After his father s
death, Abram was called by God to continue his journey to the land of Canaan and he was called from,
Ur of the Chaldeans. Abraham s call from this pagan culture further affirms that God is both merciful
and gracious as well as sovereign over the affairs of mankind.
Ur of the Chaldeans is the first reference to the city in the biblical narrative with regards to Abram s
city of origin. Abram s brother, Haran, died in Ur before Terah, Abram s and Haran s father, took the
family to the city of Haran, a well known stop along trade routes in Mesopotamia. The exact location
of where the ancient city of Ur was located is debatable.
Prior to an 1849 excavation by Sir. W.K. Loftus of a site located in modern day southern Iraq, most
scholars placed Ur in the north based on the biblical narrative

Carbon 14
Science Report
Carbon 14
Within this report I will be analysing carbon 14 a radioisotope. A radioisotope is a radioactive isotope
and isotopes are atoms that have the same number of protons but different number of neutrons in their
nuclei. Carbon 14 is a radioisotope of the element carbon.
Structure of Carbon 14
The diagram above shows the structure of carbon 14. Carbon 14 has six protons in the nucleus and six
neutrons, giving carbon 14 an atomic mass of 12. It also has an extra two neutrons which makes the
total eight neutrons. Carbon 14 also has two shells, shell one consist of two electrons and shell two
contains four electrons. This makes Carbon 14 a radioactive atom as it is unstable.

Compare And Contrast Immanuel Kant And Kant
I will compare Immanuel Kant s and John Stuart Mills methods of determining the moral action in a
situation by using the issue of abortion, and come to conclusion of whose argument is stronger.
Abortion is the discontinuation of a pregnancy, which is generally followed by the death the fetus
(Merriam Webester), and there are many moral questions raised with the issue which make it a heated
topic in popular culture. The one that will be discussed in this paper included is it morally right to kill
if the fetus is a person, if the mother s life is in danger, if the mother s life is not in danger, if the
pregnancy was accidental.

Mills uses the laws of science to point out that the test of what is right and wrong has to do with the
means, and argues that Utilitarianism views of these means to be the highest( Mills 362 3). Mills
argues that Utilitarianism s creed, or foundation of morals, are when actions are done properly; they
promote happiness or pleasure, and if it done improperly, they tend to lead to pain or a privation of
pleasure. (Mills 365) He believes that the principle of morality that should be followed is, what he
call, the Greatest Happiness Principle which the pursuit of pleasure with the prevention or avoidance

all. ( Mills 367) Mills argues the the spirit of Utilitarianism is is the Golden Rule (Mills 370), Do unto

Aegeus Theory Of Theseus
Theseus, also known as Thiseas, is a Greek hero that ruled Athens as king. He was no god nor had any
special powers, just his strength and intelligence to give him a name for himself. There is many
theories on his origin, a question mostly of who his father is. One theory is his father is Poseidon, his
mother being Aethra. This comes into play later on when he is asked to prove his heritage to Minos,
which he does by retrieving his ring in the sea. He ends up being successful, but Minos just laughs this
action off as if it didn t matter much to him. Another theory is that Aegeus is Theseus father, which I
ve found more stories of because it aligns with the fact that Theseus was prince of Athens, and to be
that he d have to be Aegeus son. In both stories the mother is Aethra. Aegeus needed an heir, which he
left for Aethra to raise until he was ready to retrieve a sword and sandals left by Aegeus himself. When
Theseus became old enough to move the rock that was imprisoning his birthright, he headed to Athens
to meet his father and take his place as prince. This little adventure, according to Pantheon.org, turned
out to be quite rough, as Theseus encountered many troubles along the way. Dangerous and unsettling,
he ended up defeating multiple burglars, which made him a hero once he returned to Athens. Such a
hero, in fact, that Aegeus wife was concerned about people favoring him over Aegeus and set out to
poison the man s wine. She does, but Aegeus spots Theseus

My Courage In Life
Courage is different for everyone, but no matter the description everyone experiences moments during
life where they have to be courageous. I believe courage is being brave enough to face your fears and
overcome adversities, and not look back. Many people s fears decrease as they face them more, but for
me mine only got worse the more I moved, and the older I got. For many people they have to find
courage to face new places and situations, which is where I have found the most courage in my life.
Change is not easy and leaving everything you know is hard but I had to become courageous to
overcome what I was faced with, and these difficulties have changed my life and made me a person I
would have never been without them. Each person finds courage in their darkest and hardest moments
in life, and here is mine. Six year olds don t know anything right? So as I sat waving from the giant

changed forever. At six it did not take courage for me to move halfway across the country, it was fun,
a new adventure. Or so it seemed. New school, new friends, and a big new house. I moved again when
I was six, and yet again I didn t care. It was my third move and this one I was even more excited
about, because I got to move by my cousins who were my best friends. In Michigan I spent the next

Hunger in Ethiopia Essay
How would you feel if your body slowly turns on you, devouring the cells that make up your very
being? What would you do if you were so weak that you couldn t even hold a loved one in your arms?
How would you feel if you couldn t think straight because the pain of hunger was so intense? What
would you do..? Starvation results in a series of devastating events that can ultimately lead to death.
When a person eats, the body extracts needed nutrients for cellular maintenance and repair. This

The location and geography of the country has caused the people to experience famine after famine,
leaving many to die from starvation. A famine is in definition, A great shortage or an extreme scarcity
of food over an extended period of time (Webster). There are several different types of famine that
occur in different types of the world. The type that Ethiopia generally goes through is called a
Ravallion. During a Ravallion famine, there are unusually large amounts of causalities with extreme
shortages of food in certain parts of the population. There are many things that cause famine, whether
it s draught, plague, or civil disrupt. Right now, Ethiopia is experiencing a draught that has killed
almost all of their crops. Because of the famines that Ethiopia experiences most every year, there is
usually an increase in the amount of people malnourished. This year, 11to 14 million people are
expected to go hungry leaving many to starve to death. Ethiopia has experienced many draughts like
these, the worst however, being in 1983. This draught lasted two years and the draught alone killed
over 400,000 people in one year, this doesn t include the deaths that were due to starvation
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983%E2%80%931985_famine_in_Ethiopia). Another factor that causes
starvation in Ethiopia is its economy. Ethiopia is in and has always been in a very poor economic
state. Crops account for 41% of the country s GDP however; the

The Legend Of Luna, Luna And The Legend Of The Teddy Bear
Once there was a girl named Luna. Luna was a girl in the 1960 s who was given a designer teddy bear.
Luna was very attached to this teddy bear and took it everywhere. However, she was an orphan girl
and she had no care for anyone. Her life was hard and she wished she didn t have to live in this life.
Only two weeks later, something tragic had happened, that no one saw coming. A girl was reported
sleepwalking and had knocked over a candle and set the orphanage on fire during the night.
Luna died in this fire, but the teddy bear survived. Luna s body was buried with the teddy bear.
Everyone who had known Luna, other homeless girls, people who came to adopt other girls, etc. came
and paid their respects. The locals had a legend about the bear, however. They saw it unnatural for
something made of soft cotton to survive such a fire.
The local s legend was, that the teddy bear made the girl set the house on fire, because he wanted a
new master. A new child to take care care of it? But who would believe that?
Now it is the year 2000, and there is a boy named Trevor who was going to the graveyard to see the
grave of his dead mother. He paid his respects at his mother s grave. He looked up from the grave and
saw the teddy bear. It was a dark brown color with a ripped ear. The stuffed bear was wearing a
sweatshirt with a skull on it.
Trevor didn t really care about the bear. It was obviously left there for the dead by a family member.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Composites
1 CHAPTER. 1 COMPOSITES 1.1 Introduction A composite is when two or more different materials
are combined together to create a material which is superior and unique and holding different
properties than earlier. Light weight high strength materials are essential in fabrication of aerospace
structures like airframes, rocket motor casings, nozzles and wings. The composites are the materials
formed by embedding fibers in the plastic that add characteristics like high resistance to fatigue,
anticorrosive, high tensile strength or stiffness with weight savings up to 25 45% compare with
conventional metallic designs. Composites possess greater reliability, which are capable to meet the
design requirements, easier to achieve smooth aerodynamic profiles against drag reduction and high
resistance to impact damage. The capacity to tailor the fundamental material properties of a cover has
permitted new ways to deal with the plan of air flexible flight structures. The above preferences make

Ashleigh s Mistake In Thousand Words By Jennifer Brown
Thousand Words, Jennifer Brown In the novel Thousand Words, Ashleigh makes a crucial mistake by
sending her boyfriend a scandalous picture, only for it to ultimately backfire. During this time, she
feels controlled, and her emotions are basically the toys of everyone surrounding her. Because of this,
the story is about power, namely being powerless in a situation that s out of your hands. From the first
time we meet her, Ashleigh is extremely remorseful. She no longer feels like her life has much worth,
and most of her life is now dictated by others, as with the community service sentence and the
constant harassment. When regretting the picture, Ashleigh says, What I wouldn t have given to go
back to that night and do things over again. (Brown 170). Clearly, she is not in a position of power;
she is the one that is oppressed. Her desire for power, in this situation, is to have the power to make
everything go back to normal, or how it was before this horrible incident. She wants her friends to like
her again, she wants to make her own decisions, and she wants to stop being bothered and harassed.

attained by dragging them down with her. It comes by accepting herself, which really shows who she
has become, and gives the book much better message (and overall story) than skank screws up . At the
very last part, she and her friend Mack write, A picture is worth a thousand words, but they don t tell

Economics in the United Methodist Church
Many churches are experiencing economic hardships at this time, and the Methodist church is no
exception. In addition to drops in attendance over the last half century, Religion News reports The
percentage of a church member s income given to the church dropped to 2.3 percent in 2011 (the latest
year for which numbers are available), down from 2.4 percent in 2010, according to the Empty Tomb
study. (Burgess) Because of this, many churches are feeling the strains of limited funds. But, there are
ways that I believe that the church could possibly improve their situation. The problems include
people treating the church as a free rider program, the church being used as a common pool resource,
and people acting so that the church becomes a tragedy of the commons. Near the end, a solution will
be offered, and it will be explored whether this solution lines up with the church in a normative
manner.
The first problem (of many) that churches sometimes face is that of a free rider problem. A free rider
problem is defined by Princeton as those who consume more than their fair share of a public resource,
or shoulder less than a fair share of the costs of its production. Essentially, anyone who benefits from a
resource in which they did not pay their fair share is a free rider. This is seen in churches each and
every week. People don t give a love offering for a Wednesday night supper. People bring their
children and youth to student activities and fail to tithe, or even give at

Compare And Contrast Alternative Family And Nuclear Family
The nuclear family vs. alternative family structure
Initially a picture of a nuclear family would best describe a so called family but today alternative
family structure is increasing because of the changing nature of families. This is due to things such as
technology, changing structure of families e.g. women entering workplace and divorce rate that cause
s initial structure to be broken down as people live as they please. In this essay nuclear family
structure verses the alternative family structure will be discussed through sociological imagination. A
family is a group of people that are interlinked through blood, the law (marriage), co residence or
share the same resources. They are further described as adults of the same sex with children. Through

This then as stated above increases families such as single parents (by choose) and much more. Today
a lot of people strive for emotional security, if they cannot find it in a particular relationship they are

difference in these structures, from financial security to emotional security, makes it flexible for
people to move about because of the decrease in dependence on men from women. This had been said,
does not make the people incapable of raising of children, but highlights their level of independency.
They are also able to provide a safe and nutritious life for their children as in nuclear families.
This structure also comes with great benefits like children not getting exposed to conflict that may

Captain America, Winter Soldier
In the film Captain America, Winter Soldier, the audience gets a closer look at the relationship
between Captain America and Natasha Romano (Black Widow). Throughout the movie, one factor
that always comes into play is whether Natasha can be trusted as former spy and agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Her past, personality, and loyalty are what make Natasha a questionable person. Although she seems
to have ulterior motives, she ultimately proves to be very trustworthy in the end.
The main reason Natasha can be perceived as untrustworthy is due to her past as a spy for the K.G.B.
She also states several times that changing her personality due to the situation is something she does

This is evident when she retrieved the data from the ship; she was the prime suspect. It is also implied
that in her former career as a spy, Natasha had done things she was not proud of.
Lastly, she and Captain America are vastly different which is what puts them at odds. Captain is
upfront and honest, whereas she is coy and playful to the point of seeming untrustworthy. She is
always one step ahead of everyone else and does not always notify her teammates. When she speaks,
she did not always give direct answers.
On the contrary, Natasha was willing to put herself in danger numerous times in order to save the
world. This type of behavior is evident throughout all of the action scenes. She fights and puts herself
in danger for the greater good. Perhaps her most meaningful action was leaking all of S.H.I.E.L.D and
H.Y.D.R.A s information. When Pierce reminded her that her past would also be revealed to the world,
she was still willing to go through with the process. As a person who valued her anonymity as, this
was a huge sacrifice, but she realized that what they were dealing with was something more important.
There were also times where Captain America could not do things alone and she used her skill sets to
get them through the situations.

It could be the littlest success such as making a pancake, but it can have so much impact on a persons

ANN MOWERY, Ed.D.
OCTOBER 9, 217
What any person in the world can learn almost all persons can learn if provided with appropriate prior
and current conditions of learning (Bloom, 2017). This belief was held by Dr. Bloom in 1956 when he
and his team created Bloom s Taxonomy. Since then educators have been utilizing these goals of the
learning process (Clark, 2015) and making assumptions of its usage and implications. I too did have
assumptions but have not thought about how I developed them or how they would affect my use of the
taxonomy. When starting this reflection I held three assumptions true about Bloom s Taxonomy. The
first is if the educator uses Bloom s Taxonomy for planning through assessment, then the student will
develop higher order thinking skills. Secondly, a student can move on to a higher order thinking level
only if they first mastered a lower order thinking level. Thirdly, if educations use different levels of
Bloom s Taxonomy in lessons students will retain more information. Interestingly, I uncovered two
additional assumptions that I did not know I had. The first of which is that the focus on cognitive
development of Bloom s devalues importance of other domains. The other is that Bloom s Taxonomy
is used only by educators in K 12 and college. Here are some things I understand about this subject

I also filled the graduated cyliner with 5.0mL of water, and placed the same bolt under water, and the
volume increased to 6.0mL of water, which is a 1.0mL water displacement equaling the same (1.0mL).
It is also significant to tare the scale to zero when obtaining the weight of certain objects. For instance,
I had to tare the scale after I put a beaker half full of water on the scale; by doing this it keeps the
weight at 0.0g, then I submerge the object to retrieve the volume. Exact measurements are essential.
One must be aware of the upward curve of liquids in the graduated cylinder, and always measure the
low point (bottom) of the meniscus. It would be of good practice to measure at eye level, thus insuring
a more accurate and precise measurement. In addition, I had to make sure that I used the pipet as

and precision is vital in measuring.

The True Destiny Of American Settlers
As children and students we were taught that the Legendary Christopher Columbus founded America.
However history has proven that this alleged discovery is far from the truth. Not only had the Spanish
already settled Florida, but the Native Americans also known as Indians have already inhabited
America. From this awareness of New Found Land English settlers intruded on Native American land
and took over America under what was called manifest destiny. In the 19th century United States,
Manifest Destiny was a belief that was widely believed that the true destiny of American settlers was
to expand and move across the continent to spread American traditions and their institutions, along
with enlightening more primitive nations, also known as the Indians. This destiny clearly was
accomplished and today almost 240 years later there have been many laws and administrative law
cases that has aroused from the accomplishment of Manifest Destiny in regards to Native Americans.
Recently on April 6, 2016 the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit decided a case before

FIntroduction:
In this assignment we will look at the Davis Service Group and its takeover of Berendsen. We will
also discuss 2 ways a company can grow, what a company would consider if they were expanding
globally. We will look at which aspects of the European Union encouraged the horizontal growth of
the business as well as the differences between Organic and Inorganic growth. Lastly we will theorize
why the acquisition of Berendsen was a good opportunity for the Davis Service Group.
Describe two major ways in which a company can grow and include 2 examples. According to this
week s case study material a company can grow in the following ways. A merger or a Takeover.
A merger is defined by Investopedia as a deal to unite two existing companies into one new company,
Takeover Definition | Investopedia. (2003)
A takeover is defined by Investopedia as an acquiring company makes a bid for a target company, If
the takeover goes through, the acquiring company becomes responsible for all of the target company s
operations, holdings and debt, Takeover Definition | Investopedia. (2003)

Wallace Stevens and Emile Durkheim Essay example
Wallace Stevens and Emile Durkheim
To more fully understand Stevens poem The Idea of Order at Key West, one can look at the ideas of
the poem in context of social philosophical thought. Emile Durkheim s theories on religion closely
parallel those of Stevens. Both men believe that there is no supreme greater being, or God, that gives
things order and meaning. But both men also believe that humans need to read order and meaning into
the world to understand it, even if the meaning humans imply is false because there is no God. Since
this aspect of both men s ideas is so similar, Durkheim s outline of ideas on religion can form a model
by which Stevens poem can be analyzed. Furthermore, although there is no way to prove that Steven s

Like Durkheim stated, the human mind better grasps things that are reflected through symbols. Lines
18 20 of The Idea of Order at Key West state, Whose spirit is this? we said/ It was the spirit we sought
and knew/ That we should ask this often as she sang. These lines express Stevens idea that humans
long for explanations to why things happen. In this particular poem, the explanation of the essence of
the sea is discussed. The people asking, Whose spirit is this? realize that there seems to be a sort of
external power (181), as Durkheim says, but cannot explain it. The people see the sea is more than
that, more than even her voice (36 37).
Because the sea cannot just be more, it has to be put in concrete terms, and Stevens says that humans
inevitably personify nature to put it in forms that they can understand. Stevens personification is a
different method than what Durkheim suggests, which is that humans create religious projections of
society and nature in order to understand them. While these methods differ, both men acknowledge
that humans have to find meaning on a personal level of individual conscience.
Stevens supports that, in trying to make the essence of nature understandable, the people in the poem
inevitably personify the sea. It is almost impossible for humans to see things in inhuman terms. For
example, the sea has a body (3) and a cry

Having to use an actual avocado to model and remake of this painting had its challenges. In addition, I
also did not have a blue surface to lay the avocados on to capture the same light reflection off the wall.
However, I did manage to capture most of the paintings elements in my picture recreation by the
placement of my desk lamp and by having my picture based on a white sheet of paper. I used a desk
lamp to be able to recreate the painting light sources through the direction I placed the light to create
the same shadows from the painting. The challenging part about using a desk lamp was trying to
figure out the right distance I needed to direct the light at the avocados to achieve the same shadows.
In addition, to the challenging things with the process of remaking the painting was to attain the same
position of the avocado to be able to capture the right colour intensity that displays the right
distribution of the avocado. Lastly, from all obstacles I was faced with while recreating The Split
Avocado Painting was not being able to find a blue surface to achieve the right calming

Sheep Brain Dissection Lab Report
The purpose of the sheep brain dissection is to appreciate the complex structure of the brain in three
dimensions. Also list, identify, and describe the important structures of the sheep brain and compare
with those of the human brain.
Materials:
Preserved sheep brain
Dissection tray
Scalpel
Scissors
Pins
Tweezers
Gloves
Safety glasses
Procedure:
Obtain a preserved sheep brain from the bucket and place this on a dissection tray.
Examine the outer surface of the brain and locate the dura matter (the outer toughest layer of the
brain).
Remove the dura matter.
Place the brain on dissecting tray and position its ventral surface upward. Identify olfactory nerve,
optic nerves, optic chiasm, pons, medulla oblongata, and spinal cord.
Position the brain with its ventral surface down and identify cerebral hemispheres, cerebral lobes
(frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital), cerebellum, longitudinal fissure, and transverse fissure.
In same position (with the ventral surface downward), make a longitudinal cut along the longitudinal
fissure using a scalpel all the way down, and separate the cerebral hemispheres.
Identify the corpus callosum, white and gray matters of the brain, thalamus, hypothalamus, lateral
ventricle, and pineal gland.
After finishing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, I saw how the different areas of the brain including cerebral hemispheres, brain stem,
pons, medulla oblongata, and cerebellum are connected with each other and perform their functions.
Also, by comparing the size and shape of a human s brain with sheep s brain, I learned and realized
that the human brain is much larger to the sheep brain, especially the large frontal lobe on a human
brain that gives the personality and decision making ability to human beings. Additionally, the sheep
brain is oriented anterior to posterior whereas the human brain is superior to

Cla Research Paper
Mechanism of the Health promoting Effects of the Food Ingredient
Evidence suggests that the biological effectiveness of CLA are due to the separate actions of cis 9,
trans 11 and trans 10, cis 12 isomers. It is likely that numerous health effects are enhanced by
synergistic actions of these isomers. Findings such as, inhibition of chemically induced
carcinogenesis, enhanced immune system, reduction of atherosclerosis, enhanced growth, fat
reduction are attributed to a mixture of these CLA isomers (Pariza, Park, Cook, 2001).
Weight reduction
Researchers have theorized about the many mechanisms CLA have an effect on. Some proposed
mechanisms such as reduction of proliferation and differentiation of preadipocytes, decreased

Insulin resistance can also be caused by increased triglycerides and free fatty acids intake. This is due
to the effect Triglycerides and free fatty acids have on insulin stimulated signal pathways,
translocation protein 4 and glucose uptake (Choi, Jung, Park, Song, 2004). It is found that CLA has a
regulatory effect on glucose and lipid metabolism regulators. CLA affects the PPAR y ligand, a major
receptor that influences the expression and transcription of genes that are related to the metabolic
effects of glucose and lipids. Such protein regulators as aP2, insulin dependent glucose transporter 4,
FATp, ACS and adiponectin are all influenced by increased CLA. (Xiao Rong Zhoua, Chang Hao
Suna, Jia Ren Liua, b, Dan Zhaoa, 2008). It was also theorized that CLA may act on other glucose
regulators such as phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase, glucose 6 phosphate, glucokinase, sterol
regulation element finding protein, acyl coenzyme A oxidase, fatty acid synthase and uncoupling
protein. Testing done on rats with a mixture of cis 9, trans 11 and trans 10, cis 12 CLA had found that
the only effected regulatory agents were regulators involved in gluconeogenesis such as Phosphoenol
carboxykinase and transcriptional factors, sterol regulating element binding protein 1c and PPAR y
(Choi, Jung, Park, Song, 2004). The main regulatory effect on insulin resistance was the effect on
ligand PPAR y, a key regulator in lipid homeostasis. Mixtures of CLA isomers consisting of cis 9,
trans 11 and trans 10,cis 12 effect gene expression of PPARy mRNA in rats. It was found to have
affected the levels of aP2, FATP, ACS and adipoenectin mRNA expression in adipose tissue. CLA
increased These regulatory proteins resulting in an uptake of free fatty acids into the adipose tissue
and decreasing uptake into the muscle tissue. This has been found to improve muscle insulin

If a child has a language delay, then they will not develop language skills as fast as their peers. This
means that a language delay is associated with development issues. However, most are able to catch
up with everyone else by the time they get to preschool. In the article I found, from the National
Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, it describes a Specific Language
Impairment as a disorder of language in which the accomplishment of language skills is delayed in
children exhibiting no hearing loss or no other developmental delays. This means a Specific Language
Impairment is not related to development. Further, according to the article I found, a Specific

Terrorism In Terrorism
Terrorism is certainly nothing new, it is an unfortunate reality that often leads to violence, and is not
likely to stop in the future. With modern technology, carrying out these often bloody attacks may not
have become any easier, but has certainly allowed the groups that carry out these attacks to become
more effective at reaching their goal. Using the media, terrorists and/or insurgencies can leverage
television and the internet to spread a message that they are both serious, and that their cause is
justified.
Terrorist organizations use the media to spread their message to others, to convince others that their
cause is justified, to show the world what they can do, and that they should be taken seriously. In
Gordon H. McCormick s article Terrorist Decision Making he mentions several quotes by Karl
Heinzen, whom he refers to as a radical German publicist. Heinzen believed that with the State having
the ultimate advantage over the revolutionist, murder [...] must be turned into a science by those
operating against the state, to have a chance. Although Heinzen did not realize it during his life, the
science of murder he spoke about would later include using the media, to inflict the maximum effect,
with the smallest cost on the side of the terrorist organization. One example of terrorists using the
media to leverage their position is mentioned in Boaz Ganor s contribution to. In Chapter 16 of The
Routledge History of Terrorism , Boaz Ganor describes a

The Success Of Martin Luther King Jr.
There were many great leaders of the civil rights movement. Just a few are Martin Luther King Jr.,
Rosa Parks, Malcolm X, and Andrew Goodman. These people helped make the civil rights movement
become a reality and a success. These people risked and sometimes lost their lives in the name of
freedom and equality. Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered famously for his speeches during the civil
rights movement, including the famous I have a dream speech, and Letter from Birmingham Jail.
Martin Luther was born January 15 1929 as Michael Luther King Jr., which was later as we all know
changed to Martin. He came from a long line of pastors. From 1960 to the time he died, he was a co
pastor at Ebenezer baptist church in Atlanta Georgia. He received a B. A. degree in 1948 from
Morehouse College. He studied at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania for three years.
While there he was selected to be President of a predominantly white senior class and was awarded B.
D. in 1951. He studied at Boston University for two years receiving his degree in 1955. In Boston he
married his wife, Coretta Scott. He had two sons and two daughters. In 1954 he became a member of
the National Association for the Advancement of colored people. He then became the first colored
man to lead a nonviolent demonstration. During the boycott, King was arrested, his home was
bombed, and he was subjected to personal abuse. In the eleven year period between 1957 and 1968,
King traveled over six million

Separation of Power It should be remembered that the notion of the doctrine is in the assumptions that the three organs of the government and its functions should be distinguishable from one another. The idea of abandoning the notion of the doctrine means all functions of the government can be performed by one organ for example executive takes all government functions like enacting the law, interpreting the law, provides people s welfare, determines the rights of the people. In our opinion, we do not wish to abandon the doctrine of separation of power but however, this notion shall follow the Montesquieu approach as he provides for a separation of power that aims at having separate institutions doing separate function by separate personnel and having the ... Perhaps The Hunger Games is a story about the inequalities and divisions of society, a reflection on the effects of a degrading environment, a stab at the centrally powered authoritative system of government, or even a cynical parody of reality television. It may in fact be all of these things combined to express an exaggerated speculative fiction; the concept that there is always some past or present truth in fiction and in the possibilities of our future, which Brianna Burke explained in her essay titled Reaping Environmental Justice through Compassion in The Hunger Games . The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ecofeminism is a term used to consider gender inequality and environmental practices simultaneously. Katniss name, along with Rue and Primrose, in and of itself is a reference to nature. Katniss simultaneously displays her masculine tendencies by having a dominant and assertive quality. The environment is commonly associated with femininity, however Katniss relationship to nature is a bit different than most females because she encompasses both nurture and dominance. Katniss assumes the role of a caretaker for: her family by venturing off into the woods to hunt for food, Rue when she was dying in Katniss arms after being speared, and Peeta when she risked her life by making her way to the Cornucopia to retrieve medicines he needed to survive. This nurturing trait is commonly associated with the role of a feminine character because women are perceived to be less driven to conquer and more compassionate towards others and the environment. Women are often sexualized and masked to seem appealing to others, which was highlighted when Peeta confessed his love for Katniss before the games began; He [Peeta] made you look desirable! And let s face it, you can use all the help you can get in that department. You were about as romantic as dirt until he said he wanted you (Collins, 135). Watney regains communication with NASA after bringing Pathfinder, an old rover that died in 1997, back to life. While attempting to create water Mark creates an explosion that causes the death of many of his crops. Juvenile Corrections Research Paper Of course, we are all familiar with the overcrowding in our prisons, well within the last decade or so we have seen an increase in how many juveniles are now being tried as an adult then ending up in our adult prison system. Statistics show that instead of helping the youth of our nation, the justice system has given up on them and parents are tired of their children sentenced to a life in prison. What happened to the fundamentals of our correction system? Are we not supposed to try and reform them while deterring them from future criminal behavior? If we could apply the practices implemented towards helping youth offenders we could see a decrease in how many children we see locked up with adults. There are programs that teach new cognitive skill methods that show alternative outcomes geared specifically towards determent from poor decision making that has resulted in repeat offenders. The works performed prior to the intermission and the main piece included Prelude to Act 1 from Palestrina by Hans Pfitzner and Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Philip Glass. Part 3 was Mercury, the Winged Messenger. This section sounded whimsical to me and I really enjoyed the more upbeat tune it had. It made me think of cartoon animals scurrying through the forest. Part 4 was Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. I didn t really feel any cheerfulness from this section like I had anticipated. I don t think it was sad, I just didn t hear the jolliness in it. I must say I was distracted for the first portion of this planet because it didn t catch my attention until about half way through. Then the music became loud and full. It was almost dramatic before it died back down to a peaceful tune. It was as though the music was accepting old age . Part 6 was Uranus, the Magician. • 11. Interactionist Perspective Of Conflict Analysis There are varying perspectives that give sociologists different views on the purpose of sociology. For conflict theorist, their view of society is less of a system that works together, but rather a macro competition of power struggles and conflict. The purpose in this view is that conflict affects the human condition; as a result of a conflict, something like wanting to further get power and wealth, or anything else that is in short supply, will arise in institutions that will serve the interests of the powerful. The functionalist perspective views that the overall macro function of society is structure and agreement. These theories can be applied to education, your religion, as well as crime; the theories would then be applied to small groups and not institutions, such as the government or the economy. One interactionist theory that has the potential to change the way we think is the labeling theory, where if one were to be labeled as a slacker, then it would result in that person acting and filling in that preconceived notion. A Short Note On Scsi Test Vehicle ( Stv ) Introduction SCSI Test Vehicle (STV) is a project to develop an FCP Storage emulator using FICON Express 16G channel adapter present on System z machine. STV is a specialized Firmware (FW) load into a channel adapter that provides the function of a FCP Target (Fibre channel SCSI Storage Control Unit). STV emulates IBM shark disk storage. This document is intended at describing the design and implementation of STV Emulation support on Power Servers/Blades. The scope of this document is mainly limited to STV component in STV Type FC channel firmware. This document contains information collected from other documents and design discussions. STV Emulation support on Power Servers/Blades enables qualification/test floor teams to use the STV Type channel firmware to test SCSI stream protocol capable devices not just on system z but other servers such as zBX and zFX as well. Problem Statement The Current STV based storage emulator requires a FICON express I/O Hardware and system z for emulation. This is useful for testing in a System z environment but proves uneconomical in regular zBX or zFX qualification. Moreover since STV uses the resources within the FICON express module, which are limited. Emulation of Enhanced features such as multipath or increased LUNs is not possible. This limits the test coverage of the test team. This project tries to work around some or most of the limitations by moving STV emulation to a Power server. Moreover, through God s covenant with him his numerous descendants inherited Palestine and from them came Messiah, the blessing to all peoples on earth. Understanding the culture of Ur of the Chaldeans, Abram s place of origin, requires a determination of where this area was located and analyzing archaeological discoveries of that area in conjunction with other disciplines of biblical study. About 1800 B.C. Abram s father, Terah, took his family and left Ur for Canaan but settled in Haran where Terah died. Haran was located in the southern part of modern day Turkey. After his father s death, Abram was called by God to continue his journey to the land of Canaan and he was called from, Ur of the Chaldeans. Abraham s call from this pagan culture further affirms that God is both merciful and gracious as well as sovereign over the affairs of mankind. Ur of the Chaldeans is the first reference to the city in the biblical narrative with regards to Abram s city of origin. Abram s brother, Haran, died in Ur before Terah, Abram s and Haran s father, took the family to the city of Haran, a well known stop along trade routes in Mesopotamia. The exact location of where the ancient city of Ur was located is debatable. Prior to an 1849 excavation by Sir. W.K. He was no god nor had any special powers, just his strength and intelligence to give him a name for himself. There is many theories on his origin, a question mostly of who his father is. One theory is his father is Poseidon, his mother being Aethra. This comes into play later on when he is asked to prove his heritage to Minos, which he does by retrieving his ring in the sea. He ends up being successful, but Minos just laughs this action off as if it didn t matter much to him. Another theory is that Aegeus is Theseus father, which I ve found more stories of because it aligns with the fact that Theseus was prince of Athens, and to be that he d have to be Aegeus son. This little adventure, according to Pantheon.org, turned out to be quite rough, as Theseus encountered many troubles along the way. Dangerous and unsettling, he ended up defeating multiple burglars, which made him a hero once he returned to Athens. In addition to drops in attendance over the last half century, Religion News reports The percentage of a church member s income given to the church dropped to 2.3 percent in 2011 (the latest year for which numbers are available), down from 2.4 percent in 2010, according to the Empty Tomb study. (Burgess) Because of this, many churches are feeling the strains of limited funds. But, there are ways that I believe that the church could possibly improve their situation. The problems include people treating the church as a free rider program, the church being used as a common pool resource, and people acting so that the church becomes a tragedy of the commons. Near the end, a solution will be offered, and it will be explored whether this solution lines up with the church in a normative manner. The first problem (of many) that churches sometimes face is that of a free rider problem. A free rider problem is defined by Princeton as those who consume more than their fair share of a public resource, or shoulder less than a fair share of the costs of its production. Essentially, anyone who benefits from a resource in which they did not pay their fair share is a free rider. This is seen in churches each and every week. People don t give a love offering for a Wednesday night supper. People bring their children and youth to student activities and fail to tithe, or even give at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Her past, personality, and loyalty are what make Natasha a questionable person. Although she seems to have ulterior motives, she ultimately proves to be very trustworthy in the end. OCTOBER 9, 217 What any person in the world can learn almost all persons can learn if provided with appropriate prior and current conditions of learning (Bloom, 2017). This belief was held by Dr. Bloom in 1956 when he and his team created Bloom s Taxonomy. Since then educators have been utilizing these goals of the learning process (Clark, 2015) and making assumptions of its usage and implications. I too did have assumptions but have not thought about how I developed them or how they would affect my use of the taxonomy. When starting this reflection I held three assumptions true about Bloom s Taxonomy. The first is if the educator uses Bloom s Taxonomy for planning through assessment, then the student will develop higher order thinking skills. Secondly, a student can move on to a higher order thinking level only if they first mastered a lower order thinking level. Thirdly, if educations use different levels of Bloom s Taxonomy in lessons students will retain more information. Interestingly, I uncovered two additional assumptions that I did not know I had. The first of which is that the focus on cognitive development of Bloom s devalues importance of other domains. The other is that Bloom s Taxonomy is used only by educators in K 12 and college. But both men also believe that humans need to read order and meaning into the world to understand it, even if the meaning humans imply is false because there is no God. These lines express Stevens idea that humans long for explanations to why things happen. In this particular poem, the explanation of the essence of the sea is discussed. The people asking, Whose spirit is this? realize that there seems to be a sort of external power (181), as Durkheim says, but cannot explain it. The people see the sea is more than that, more than even her voice (36 37). Because the sea cannot just be more, it has to be put in concrete terms, and Stevens says that humans inevitably personify nature to put it in forms that they can understand. Stevens personification is a different method than what Durkheim suggests, which is that humans create religious projections of society and nature in order to understand them. While these methods differ, both men acknowledge that humans have to find meaning on a personal level of individual conscience. Stevens supports that, in trying to make the essence of nature understandable, the people in the poem inevitably personify the sea. It is almost impossible for humans to see things in inhuman terms. Insulin resistance can also be caused by increased triglycerides and free fatty acids intake. This is due to the effect Triglycerides and free fatty acids have on insulin stimulated signal pathways, translocation protein 4 and glucose uptake (Choi, Jung, Park, Song, 2004). It is found that CLA has a regulatory effect on glucose and lipid metabolism regulators. CLA affects the PPAR y ligand, a major receptor that influences the expression and transcription of genes that are related to the metabolic effects of glucose and lipids. Such protein regulators as aP2, insulin dependent glucose transporter 4, FATp, ACS and adiponectin are all influenced by increased CLA. (Xiao Rong Zhoua, Chang Hao Suna, Jia Ren Liua, b, Dan Zhaoa, 2008). It was also theorized that CLA may act on other glucose regulators such as phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase, glucose 6 phosphate, glucokinase, sterol regulation element finding protein, acyl coenzyme A oxidase, fatty acid synthase and uncoupling protein. Testing done on rats with a mixture of cis 9, trans 11 and trans 10, cis 12 CLA had found that the only effected regulatory agents were regulators involved in gluconeogenesis such as Phosphoenol carboxykinase and transcriptional factors, sterol regulating element binding protein 1c and PPAR y (Choi, Jung, Park, Song, 2004).
