Reasons For The Collapse Of The Han And Mayan Empires
A number of complex and enduring empires have dominated large parts of Afro Eurasia, and Meso
America. Among these were the Han Empire in China, the Roman Empire in the Mediterranean Basin,
and the Maya in Meso America. These empires had wealth, power, and they are a vast size, but they
all suffered their unfortunate collapse. There are multiple factors that contribute to the collapse of
these empires such as warfare, taxes, the environment, problems with the government, religion, and
shortage of resources like food and water. The reasons for the collapse of the Han and the Mayan
empires are very similar. However, there are also some striking differences of the reasons why these
empires collapsed. The Han Empire s disintegration happened because of 3 reasons: warfare,
governmental problems, taxes, and shortage of resources like food and water. Warfare had an impact
on the failure of the Han Empire because they needed a lot of strong and efficient armies which led to
the need for manpower, food, horses, and weapons. These needs couldn t be fulfilled because the taxes
were so high (governmental problem) that the peasants had no way of paying their taxes resulting
many joining rich land owning generals lands which means that these peasants are now under their
command. Since these peasants left their land to join those that were rich, their plots of ... Show more

They are warfare, shortages of food and water, and governmental problems. Warfare is a problem for
these empires since it is mainly the start of more issues like government problems and riots which will
eventually cause the destruction of the empire. To further explain, in Document 9, it states, With entire
communities engaged in warfare, fields were left fallow and water control systems deteriorated. This
means that war changed everyone s lives and made everyone not care about their community resulting

Why Is Anzac Day Important
Why is the Anzac Centenary important for Modern Australia?
Every year, Anzac Day is celebrated across the nation, unifying Australians regardless of their
background or place of birth to commemorate the service and sacrifice displayed by the men and
women of the Anzac Forces. The 25th of April 2015, will mark the Centenary of the Gallipoli
Campaign, and will be one of the most significant commemorations to take place of its generation.
Despite the Campaign having been deemed a disaster with a large number of casualties along with the
failure to achieve military victory, it has contributed tremendously to the development of Australia s
culture and identity. This Campaign observed the emergence of the Anzac Legend, encompassing the

During the Victorian Bushfires, for example, many Australian communities were confronted with
tremendous loss and hardship. It was during these times that the Anzac Spirit was very apparent
amongst the community, with the emergence of everyday Australians surfacing as heroes. Australian
volunteers from across communities, along with official government services came together to assist
victims and to ease their suffering in providing them shelter, basic necessities, as well as moral
support. Nick Jans, a Vietnam Veteran, said the generosity shown after the bushfires invoked the
Anzac spirit, which he stated was not just a matter of the armed forces but deeply embedded in the
Australian psyche 4. It is through the influence of Anzac Legend that has inspired Australians to
recapture the Anzac spirit, engraining the attributes displayed by them to their very own thinking
process. Through such times, the significance of the Anzac Legend and its strong links and influence
to the Australian community are clear. Therefore, the Anzac Centenary is tremendously important for
modern Australia in acknowledging and honoring the Anzac soldiers that fought in Gallipoli, forming
an inheritance that presently, has great meaning and relevance

Strategic Strategy And Risk Assessment
The business dictionary has defined success as the achievement of an objective or pre determined
goal. For this study, being successful will mean strategic alliance partners achieving those objectives
that necessitated their partnership. Uddin Akhter (2011) argued that strategic alliance success requires
cooperative behaviour from all partners. They went further to state that alliance success depends on
several factors such as active involvement in problem s solution, being trustworthy; to create value
combining partners resources and capabilities and persuasion among the partners for cooperation and
coordination of activities in a cooperative behaviour. Thomas (2014) outlined some key success
factors for strategic alliances and are : (1) Strategic Rationale Derive cooperation areas systematically
from business strategy including business case evaluation and risk assessment Engage in partnership
only in case benefit generated and risks involved justify additional complexity compared to alternative
solutions (2) Select partner High strategic and cultural fit between the partners Complementary
capabilities, resources and/or reground footprint Matching product portfolios (3) Negotiate and
establish Have a common vision of partnership, agree on fundamental values and convictions and
have general rules and standards established Share main assumptions and realistic targets of all

European And Non-European Expansion In The 1500s And 1600s
Europeans had many ambitions throughout the 1500s and 1600s. To achieve their goals, they deferred
to the non European culture. The main question remains: how did the Europeans accommodate
themselves to Non European culture? The European traders and missionaries would accommodate
themselves by integrating into the Non European culture, by adapting their physical appearance, by
referring to the traditional practices, and through the response of the native people wants to European
goods.
For Europe s influence to be successful across the world, they had a guide written by Father Jean de
Brébeuf, called Instructions for The Fathers of Our Society Who Shall Be Sent to The Hurons. In this
small guide, Father Jean, writes instruction for other European members to follow in order to be
successful in their influence in the new world. The thought of being the superior race, followed them
to the new world, so embracing a culture that they thought was low class, was a big change to the
European men. As to the other numerous things which may be unpleasant, they must be endured for
the love of God, without saying anything or appearing to notice them. They did not do anything that
contradicts the Natives belief, as they were trying to convert them to the idealized culture. They were
doing so in a way that the Natives did not realize they were being converted. So, the Europeans
change their normal customs, to gain their trust. In which they accommodate to non European ways.

Comparing Flowers For Algernon And The Movie Charly
The short story Flowers for Algernon and the movie Charly have a lot of similarities and differences.
First of all, in both the movie and the short story Charlie has the mentally ability so in both they are
trying to figure out a way to see if the surgery will work for him or if it s even possible to do. In the
short story all Charlie wants is to be smart so he tries and tries to beat Algernon at the mazes and he is
trying to do everything perfect so they will use him for the test. In the movie he wants to be smart but
he goofs around a lot and isn t very focused on what is going on. Charlie has very mean and rude

Gun Control In The Tao Te Ching
The Tao Te Ching outlines that if people value great individuals, they become weak. Also, if people
place high value on possessions, they start to steal. The Tao Te Ching also articulates that the master
leads by filling the hearts of people, weakening their ambitions and toughening their determination
(Lao tzu 3). The master assists individuals to lose their knowledge and desires and creates
misperception in people who believe they possess knowledge. This concept can be applied in a
political conflict in the contemporary world. It is evident that individuals have overvalued possessions.
Overvaluing possessions has led to the emergence of various problems that have caused political
conflict.
According to Tao Te Ching, people start stealing when they place too much value in possessions. For
example, the gun control debate in the United States has raged on for several years. On the one hand,
the government argues that individuals should have rights over their guns to reduce gun violence.
There have been numerous cases of mass shootings in the recent past. These incidents are attributed to
the high number of guns accessible even to children and mentally challenged individual. The
government argues that tougher gun control policies will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

when they need them or if compelled and even then, they will use them with restraint (Lao tzu 31).

The Relationship Between Television and Presidential...
The aim of this paper is to look at the relationship between the mass media, specifically television, and
presidential elections. This paper will focus on the function of television in presidential elections
through three main areas: exit polls, presidential debates, and spots. The focus is on television for
three reasons. First, television reaches more voters than any other medium. Second, television attracts
the greatest part of presidential campaign budgets. Third, television provides the candidates a good
opportunity to contact the people directly. A second main theme of this paper is the role of television
in presidential elections in terms of representative democracy in the United States.
Researchers tend to hold one of three views ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Democratic vote, however, declined 3.1 percent more in the postcall districts than in the precall
districts (p. 874).
This result suggests that the NBC prediction did have an impact on the election. Additionally, this
result supports the impact of the media on political behavior.
Some experts argue that rates of voting in the western states are not affected by early projections.
Strom and Epstein argue that the decline in western states turnouts is not a result of the early
projections by the networks but is the result of a complicated combination of factors, none of which is
related to information received on election day (Epstein and Strom, 1981, pp. 479 489). This argument
denies the influence of polls on the voting turnout in the first place, and it denies the impact of media
on political behavior.
Other researchers look at the issue of exit polls from a legal perspective. Floyd Abrams, a First
Amendment lawyer, supports the constitutional rights of the media and says their exercising of their
rights should not be restricted, even if that influences the voters:
Once it becomes a legal issue, even people who believe that projections are harmful, or that exit polls
are sometimes misused, should unite and say that the law should not be used to stop people

Reflection Of The Movie Remember The Titans
The movie I selected was Remember The Titans (2000). The movie was about leadership, teamwork,
and overcoming obstacles. Remember The Titans took place in Alexandria, Virginia Where one high
school became integrated with blacks and whites forming T.C. Williams High school. The football
team at the school for the first time had blacks and whites doing the same sport together. The school
board fired Coach Yoast from being head coach and hired a new head coach named Coach Boone who
was African American. This led to problems with white families since they did not want a black
coaching their kids and it caused problems for Coach Boone. However, after an incident with the
white football players Coach Boone compromised with Coach Yoast allowing him to be the defensive
coordinator in hopes of creating some peace in the tense time. As the summer came to an end football
camp began. At football camp the audiences experiences the problems the black football players had
with chemistry because of racism and hatred from their white teammates. However in the end of camp
the team became brothers and does not see a person by their skin but what s on the inside. The boys
were ready for football yet when they started school the Titans had to face the hardships of school and
realize not everyone at school was as optimistic as they were which lead to more turmoil inside the
team due to racism. Thankfully as time went on their bond grew and the team went on to become
undefeated as well as win the state championship. The main characters in Remember The Titans were
Coach Boone, Coach Yoast, Gerry Bertier, and Julius Campbell. Coach Boone was the head coach for
the Titans, Coach Yoast was the ex head coach and was the defensive coordinator for the Titans, Gerry
Bertier was the All American on the team and was the main white football player throughout the
movie, and Julius Campbell was the main black football player on the Titans. All of these characters
showed leadership throughout the movie. Coach Boone showed his leadership by forcing others to do
what he wants no matter the cost. Multiple times throughout the movie the audience watches Coach
Boone ordering players to run, redo a play, burpees and other commands. Coach

The Battle Over American Dietary Guidelines
The battle over American dietary guidelines has been raging for decades. One of the most
controversial issues in nutrition? Fat and sugar. For the past thirty years, we ve been instructed that a
low fat, high carb diet is the best way to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle. In 1955, US
President Dwight Eisenhower suffered a heart attack, and worked with his chief physician to
encourage Americans to cut down on fat and cholesterol, stating that this would be the best way to
avoid future heart disease. The first official government dietary guidelines were published in 1980,
and they too advised Americans to limit fat and increase carbs. And though this diet surged in
popularity (Remember the low fat craze in the 80s and 90s?), many are convinced it s actually the
exact opposite of how we should be eating, and that sugar is biggest problem when it comes to weight
gain and health problems. A recent article in The Guardian explores this controversy, and ventures to
explain how we could have gotten so tangled up in this wild web of fat versus sugar. The article
begins by introducing two important figures: Robert Lustig and John Yudkin. Lustig is something of a
celebrity; his 90 minute talk titled Sugar: The Bitter Truth, has been viewed more than six million
times on YouTube, and argues that fructose is the culprit behind a majority of American health
problems. And while Lustig originally believed his idea to be revolutionary, he soon came to find that

John P. Kotter s Leading Change
In the first chapter Leading Change by John P. Kotter brought out the fact that all companies (large
and small) go through changes. Some are to remain competitive others are to keep up with the
changing marketing tactics. These efforts have gone under many banners: total quality management,
reengineering, rightsizing, restructuring, culturing, change, and turnaround (Review, 2011, p. 1). Now
to add another name, my company calls it PEx (production excellence. It is really not looked at as a
good thing. We have a separate PEx group. When a manager has a process that they want to change
(or update) they call the PEx team. After many (many many) meetings with core people changes are
made. I have been through a few and looking back, it was not enjoyable.
In this chapter step 1 of the 8 steps of transforming your organization is creating a sense of urgency. It
stands to reason that error 1 of 8 is the opposite or not a great enough sense of urgency. One of the
statements that I hear often is Why change we have always done it this way . Another one is, If it is
not broken don t fix it.

The Federal Reserve System can also be referred to Federal Reserve or simply the FED. The Federal
Reserve System is the central banking system of the United States. The Federal Reserve System was
created over 100 years ago in December 23 of 1913. The Federal Reserve System was created in
response to a series of financial panics particularly the panic of 1907. The panic of 1907 showed the
need for central control of the monetary system if crises are to be avoided. Many events such as the
Great Depression and the Great Recession led to the expansion of the role and responsibility of the
Federal Reserve System. The U.S Congress established three key objectives for monetary policy in the

Compare And Contrast Bbkar And Babasaheb Ambedkar
When we talked about the famous Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi will be the first person that comes
to most people mind. However, there are other many leaders that also played the important roles in
reforming India. One of them is Babasaheb Ambedkar. If I have to compare both of them with the
warlord, I would say that Gandhi is like the warlord who fight peacefully for the country liberation,
while Babasaheb Ambedkar is like the warlord who fight for equality and justice in the country. To be
honest, it is very shameful that I have never known Ambedkar before. Since after I have read his
biography and what he had done, he suddenly became one of my idols. Bhimrao or Babasaheb

Ambedkar saw untouchability as the additional product of caste system, and believed that there could
not be any uplift or relief from untouchability if there were not the abolition of caste. Moreover,
Ambedkar believed that the caste system was actually a division of labourers which simply meant that
the caste system is the basis of assigning occupations. This caused a stagnant economy in
communities because the system did not allow people to have other professional skills and entered
other professions outside the caste group. He said that fixity of occupations hindered the growth and
development of the Indian economy and the society. In his thought, people should do the work that is
best suited to them to gain the most efficient or else this would lead to immobility of both labour and
capital. It could be said that Ambedkar was a challenge to Hinduism. By contrast, Gandhi was a
devoted Hindu. He thought that the responsibility of eliminating untouchability should depend on the
upper caste. Gandhi goal was not to annihilate the

The Bamana People In Mali
Just west of the Fulani peoples in Niger, lay many Mande speaking people in Mali. Much like the cliff
dwelling Dogon, the Bamana people can also be found in Mali. The Bamana are a patrilineal society
that operates through strict caste systems ranging from nobilities, artisans, blacksmiths, to servants. As
with any people of the Mande culture, the Bamana hold blacksmiths in their caste system to very
important standards. People who manipulate wood and metal and transform them into useful or even
dangerous objects are believed to possess potent amounts of an energy called nyama. Most notably,
these powerful blacksmiths are responsible for constructing the sacred dance crests of the Bamana

Northern Bamana people have adopted a horizontal style, in which the horns of the antelope sweep

abstract style, in which the Ci Wara has upward, curved horns and a canine like body. In all Bamana
regions across Mali, however, the Ci Wara headdress is worn during boys commencement dances as a
symbol of their entrance into adulthood. The dance crests allude to the important farming skills that
men will need in order to provide for their wives and children in the future. During the ritual dance,
two men dance as the Ci Wara and his female counterpart. While wearing these headdresses, the men
will hunch over and transform [from] two legged dancers into four legged animals, channeling the

that it features a child on the female Ci Wara s back. As this dance emphasizes the delicate balance of

the balance of femininity and masculinity between the two sculptures. The broad, detailed back and
phallic nature of the male figure represents the powerful masculine sun,

Analysis Of The Movie Casablanca
Intro
Casablanca, first released on January 23rd, 1943 is undoubtedly one of the masterpieces of Classical
Hollywood film. Written and released in the midst of World War Two it explores themes such as love,
desire and especially sacrifice. Although the love story of the protagonists is the cause and catalyst for
most of the narrative, one would not necessarily associate it with the conventional Classical
Hollywood love story. Rather as a fabula based on the principle of the importance of sacrifice in order
to overcome a common enemy, in this case the Nazis. Casablanca does indeed contain many of the
common characteristics identified with the Classical Hollywood film. An example being the the way
director, Michael Curtiz used a mainly chronologically ordered narrative structure and the utilisation
of a Cause and Effect chain. In this essay I will looking at the various ways I believe this film does fall
into the criteria of a Classical Hollywood narrative and also how some could perceive that it does not.
From the opening sequence one can establish that Casablanca obeys the elementary principles used in
the Classical Hollywood narrative structure. In the initial minutes of the film the audience is
introduced via a voice over of the various political happenings prior to the films start such as Hitler s
occupation of Europe and the surge of refugees who fled the Nazi s to Casablanca. The use of
narration presents the audience with a simple introduction which the rest of

Impact Of The United Kingdom On Britain s Current Issues...
With the United Kingdom being the 3rd European country with the highest GDP it is rather difficult to
assume that issues such as negative economic growth, rising unemployment (Mooney and Scott, 2012)
and consequently poverty would have any magnitude in its territory. However poverty does appear to
be an issue in Scotland, even though it contributes as the 2nd largest percentage on UK s GVA (7.7%
ONS, 2012). With the acceptance of the referendum Scotland was aiming for independence and
therefore taking in its own hands decision making regarding sectors such as the economic one by
prioritizing and making the right decisions in order to tackle issues such as that of poverty. After
September 18th 2014 economic changes concerning currency, unemployment and natural resources
would have an impact on Scotland s current issues regarding poverty. An issue that has been in
Scotland s economic agenda afore the economic crisis of 2008/09 is poverty despite the fact that
Scotland s economy was growing steadily until 2007 (McKendrick, J., et al. 2011). By 2013 Scotland
had a greater relative poverty rate than the UK with 16% , which is an increase since 2007 when the
case was in reverse positions. These statistics indicate an adverse development in Scotland s relative
poverty rates over the past eight years to which economic factors come from both macroeconomic as
well as microeconomic spectrums. The four main macroeconomic objectives (high economic growth,

Minoan Mycenaean Weapons
The Minoan and Mycenaean cultures lived among the later Greeks far after they were gone. There are
many things in their culture used by the later Greeks. The biggest things carried on by the Greeks were
the advancements in technology by the Minoan and Mycenaean people. Let me explain in more detail
what technology they helped the Greeks to get better at over time. Weapons Bronze was the preferred
meatal for weapons before the Minoan and Mycenaean people. The use of tin, copper, silver, and gold
were used by them as well. These metals were readily available to the Minoan and Mycenaean people
in mines and deposits in the Mediterranean basin. Except for tin which came from the British Isles.
The weapons of choice for the Minoan and Mycenaean people were daggers, swords, spears, and
javelins. These weapons allowed them to defend themselves any way possible. Defending themselves
with weapons were not the only things they created with these metals. The Minoan and Mycenaean
people created body armor such as shields, helmets, and leg and arm coverings. The body armor was
just as important as the weapons. Now the people have an opportunity to protect their body, and have

experience as a social construction, and reality as a result of perception, language and culture ( ).
Embedded however within that social construction for me is the necessity to consider the broader
social and political climate and issues of power that may play a role in the human experience. As a
counsellor, I would like to align with a therapeutic approach that values the diversity and experience
of multiple realities, and that supports clients in finding their power both within and outside the
counselling session. Embracing the client counsellor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Armed with this new awareness, the therapeutic process from a feminist perspective was
reconceptualized to include an emphasis on social and political forces and an acknowledgement of
their role in disempowerment for women (Brown, 2010). Additionally, the seed of creating a more
respectful and humanistic approach to the counselling relationship was planted. Raising the
consciousness of clients around power and focusing on societal transformation rather than individual
adjustment became the identify of feminist therapy and to what Lerner (1993) referred to as the
feminist consciousness . This perspective afforded practitioners a new way to view problems
presented in therapy.
Enns (2004) highlighted two such new views related to client problems. First, the perspective that, the
personal is political emphasized that problems arising for women within therapy cannot be
disconnected from the larger social and political context. To consider problems in therapy solely on an
intrapersonal level is to perpetuate a blame the victim orientation. Therefore, it was essential that an
integrated analysis of oppression was explored. Second, problems and symptoms may be conceived of
as ways of coping and surviving oppressive circumstances. Anxiety may be reframed, not as the result
of a suppressed unconscious or the inability to cope, but rather as a reasonable response to sexisms,
violence or

Plumbing Plumber
When hiring a plumber it needs to pays much about how the plumbers deal the pipe problems. If a
minor plumbing problem comes with any of the plumbing system in your home and if you can able to
solve that problem then there is no need to search for a plumber hire and at the same time you can
save some amount of money. However, if you seek the help of a professional plumber when the
plumbing problem is a major one or when going to install a new plumbing system make sure to take
the aforementioned precautions. The main advantage of taking such a decision is that you can cut
down on cost and get your house running back to normal. It seems to be a very important and a
beneficial way to you to hire an efficient plumber when coming any of these types of obstacles with a
plumbing system.

Make sure of the facts that you are hiring the right person for doing your plumbing installation works.
This also means that whether the plumbing job is an emergency or not, tries to call a plumber that you

relationship with a contractor or with a professional plumber will help you to ensure hiring someone
you can trust and can call them for solving the difficulties occurring in future. The first concern with a
plumber hire is from an industry with having an established reputation. Often it is untrue that when
plumber hired from a plumbing industry by trusting their service only with some specific reference got

Child Pornography And Child Abuse
When one thinks about child abuse, usually the first thing that comes to their mind is physical harm or
aggressive behavior. However, the issue is much more complex than one can think. Usually, child
abuse can be manifested in both physical and emotional forms. Childhood is thought as to be like a
garden, protected by walls and hedges. However, in reality, most children are often neglected, abused
and exploited. Child pornography and sexual abuse are two of the most disturbing issues in the world
today. Having a very international background, I was able to travel around the world and learn about
different cultures, especially those of third world countries. I was able to see the immense amount of
poverty, violence, and hatred in all these countries, however, I have never thought about the amount of
children that are forced into child trafficking, abuse, and pornography. According to statistics, 1 in 5
girls and 1 in 20 boys is a victim of child sexual abuse and self report studies show that 20% of adult
females and 5 10% of adult males recall a childhood sexual assault or sexual abuse incident. In my
opinion, this is horrifying and shocking to know that there are more people than one might think that
have been through some sort of sexual assault or sexual abuse. I have never taken the time to learn
about how dozens of children go through these traumatic and horror situations. Visiting orphanages
when I travelled to India and China has impacted the way I see the other half

Electronic Equipment s And Energy Storage
ABSTRACT
We discussed the exciting materials nanotubes in this outline and the study being carried out on our
part. We discussed the materials that are suitable for manufacturing, their processing techniques and
exotic applications with supported few references. Here this abstract aims to define the basic principle
of nanotubes that is their definition, basic chemical and physical properties, their applications, their
fabrication process in details and their future prospect. Nanotubes hold the key in the next generation
of technological developments especially in case of electronic equipment s and energy storage.
INTRODUCTION
Nano is associated with anything in the dimensional range of nanometers (1/10^9 meter). A nanowire
is a long cylindrical specimen having diameter in the range of few nanometers with an unconstrained
length. Nanotubes are similarly hollow nanowires and consists of tubes of 1 atom wall thickness. As a
whole we work with material properties in bulk and the quantum effects of atoms were averaged out.
With nanotubes and nanowires we work with materials in single dimension and atoms start exerting
significant quantum effect on mechanical properties and a wide range of new properties and
applications are being discovered.
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are constructed with length to diameter ratio of up to (1.32 × 108):1, which
is significantly larger than any other material. The radius of nanotube is in the order of few
nanometres, while they can be up to 18

Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC IV; Wechsler, 1949). This seminal intelligence scale
assesses a child s general intellectual ability across four domains, producing four corresponding index
scores: (1) the Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI), (2) the Visual Spatial Index (VSI), (3) the Working
Memory Index (WMI), and finally (4) the Processing Speed Index (PSI). The VCI measures verbal
concept formation, specifically assessing children s ability to listen to a question, draw upon learned
information from both formal and informal education, reason through an answer, and express their
thoughts aloud. An example item from this index is similarities, vocabulary, and comprehension. Next,
the VSI measures non verbal and fluid reasoning and assesses children s ability to examine a problem,
draw upon visual motor and visual spatial skills, organize their thoughts, create solutions, and then test
them. An example item from this index is solving a 3D puzzle. The WMI measures working memory
and assesses children s ability to memorize new information, hold it in short term memory,
concentrate, and manipulate that information to produce some result or reasoning processes; an
example item would be letter number sequencing. This measure is particularly important for higher
order thinking, learning, and achievement. Finally, the PSI measures the speed of information
processing and assesses children s abilities to focus attention and quickly scan, discriminate between,

New Utopia Research Paper
The New Utopia In the New Utopia, surveillance cameras will no longer be consider an act of
violation of civil liberties or an invasion of privacy, but it will be the norm; surveillance cameras will
be consider no different than what we nowadays consider a stop sign, a traffic light, or even the posted
speed limit on the road way. To be able to stop crimes from happening, there is a need for law
enforcement officers to be able to predict that a crime will occur in order to prevent it from happening.
As human nature, we always tend to push the limits, if we can commit a crime and get away with it,
for most that will may just be enough them to motivate them to follow through. One hundred years
ago, the thought of having traffic lights or stop signs at every intersection to direct the movement of
traffics would probably consider an act of violation of civil liberties; but imagine if we do not have it
today, there would be chaos. Having surveillance cameras doesn t necessary prevent the crime, but it
certainly reduce it to a more manageable occurrence. Just ask ourselves, would it be better to replace
each camera with a police officer: would that be more effective method to deter crimes, would that be
more cost effective at the same time, would that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Transcontinental Telegraph
The Telegraph The idea behind the telegraph was to send electric signals across wires. This originated
in the early 1700s and France was the first country to have a rough system by 1798. Eventually
following was a system which used Morse code. Professor Samuel Morse had successfully secured
funding and in 1843 a telegraph system was produced from Washington D.C. to Baltimore. The
success of the system was seen and by 1861 the first transcontinental telegraph line was built. The
telegraph was a very simple 3 part machine. It had a battery, electromagnet, and a key to connect and
disconnect the two parts. Every time the key was tapped, an electrical pulse will go through the wire

crime as criminals found using distance increasingly more difficult. Lastly it helped integrate women
into the world of work as operators and supervisors. This shows how the telegraph was a very

Oppression In Ireland
War, oppression, and massacres. All three took place in English led Ireland during the Victorian Era,
and all three were caused by a few differences in beliefs on how to worship the same God. Mainly due
to the evangelization of St. Patrick, the Irish people were devoutly Catholic while their English rulers
followed a Protestant Church called the Anglican Church of England. Since the Anglican Church was
so dominant in England, the Irish Catholics received very poor treatment from the Protestants in
England causing things like the Irish Potato Famine and the Bloody Sunday and Bloody Friday
massacres. However, the Irish people were by no means silent under this oppression, leading to many
rebellions. Due to the dominance of Protestantism in England ... Show more content on

The Irish English combat was one of the bloodiest religious wars of all time and led to many deaths.
To make things worse, all of these battles stemmed from a few different beliefs on how to worship the
same God. This led to England ignoring the Irish when they were in trouble and killing them when
they fought back. However, all of this acrimony is not distinct to Victorian England; rather, religious
hostility is a common occurrence that extends its reaches into the modern world and always leads to
war torn areas of the world like the Middle East. England s relationship with Ireland shows a prevalent
historical theme of how religious nationalism leads to conflicts that always draw

No Arabic in and English Class
1.0 Introduction
According to the ministry of education in Kuwait it has always been a sin when teach ers use Arabic in
an English class, even if it is to clarify a certain aspect that students could not grasp. Well, whether we
like it or not, Learners of L2 tend to use L1 when learning the target language, this argument has been
proven by a number of re searchers (Atkinson, 1987; Auerbach, 1993; Cook, 2001; Nation, 2003), and
ignoring it or pretending that it is not happening might lead to pedagogical implications.
Decision makers in ELT unit in the Ministry of Education, who adopt the notion that us ing Arabic
when teaching English is a taboo , have to hear the other voice that considers the use of L1 when
teaching L2 is very helpful and works to facilitate the learning process.
Hence, the current research comes to shed light on the importance of using L1 when teaching L2 and
how we can utilise it and use it as a useful tool. Also this research will try to change the common
notion that using Arabic in English class is a deficiency.
1.1 Aims of the study
This study aims to provide a better understanding for the use of L1 when teaching L2, and how this
could be in the favour of facilitating the learning process for the students, and it should no longer be a
forbidden zone . The study also aims to high lights the improvements that could be achieved by
utilising Arabic in ELT class.

The Importance Of Resource Allocation And Scalability
based WCNs can easily abstract the network services as VNFs and deploy in the VMs. In the
meanwhile, it provides numbers of SB APIs to accommodate devices using specific technologies,
including WiFi, LTE, and WiMAX (see Figure 15). Fig. 15. The NFV/SDN Architecture in WCNs. In
the case of enhancing resource allocation and scalability, the programmability of SDN allows fast
service deployment and alleviates the conflicts between different network functions. Figure 15
illustrates that SDN solutions can either be applied to the level of AN (e.g., SoftRAN [Gudipati et al.
2013], SoftMobile [Chen et al. 2014]) or the level of CN (e.g., SoftCell [Li et al. 2012]). Additionally,
it holds to work in both the AN and CN (e.g., cellular SDN [Li et al. 2012]). For example, SoftRAN
virtualizes a set of base stations to be a single virtual one by leveraging the AN control plane, which
improves the handover, resource assignment and transmits power allocation. SoftMobile tackles the
problems of state information distribution, cell configuration, and real time operations between cells.
Architecture [Yang et al. 2015] is proposed to meet the 5G service trends and network architecture
requirements by consolidating NFV, SDN and cloud computing. There are control cloud, access cloud,
and forwarding cloud in this architecture to improve the performance in mobile broadband scenario,
ultra reliable and low latency communication scenario as well as massive machinetype

Qantas s Pricing Strategy
PRICING
Prices reflect the unique value of the brand to a certain extent. Brand positioning builds the unique
brand image in the minds of consumers, so price setting and adjustments must adapt brand
positioning, and brand positioning shows the brand s unique value through price (Kotler, 2013, p.
215). For Qantas, the pricing strategy utilises a cost plus margin method of product pricing, offering
lower pricing in accordance to the market demand. The number of travellers requiring Qantas services,
prompt the airline to adjust pricing rates accordingly.
Qantas Airways provides different prices, to different customers, and combines the price setting with

Public relations, by Qantas, manage publicity directed at financial stakeholders and political bodies,

How Does Ninotchka Relate To Capitalism
Ninotchka: Capitalism over Communism
The film from 1939, Ninotchka, the comedy drama directed by Ernst Lubitsch shows how the culture
and attitude was towards Soviets and follows an underlying political issue about whether communism
is better than capitalism and vice versa. Ninotchka was made during a turbulent time in history. It was
released during the second World War, not long after Hitler had invaded Poland. In Europe, the year of
the film s release, World War II had broke out and the foreign market for movies was waning.
Mussolini had also said that Italy would be entering the war in that year. The release of Ninotchka had
different reactions in different parts of the world. The Russians really did not like it. It was even

Ninotchka was made during a very integral part of history and shows some key historical aspects and
cultural aspects of the time period. This film reverses gender roles through the character of Ninotchka
and shows how sexuality was becoming more and more overt in films and regulations becoming more
lax on it because people wanted to see more overt sexuality. Ninotchka was released just as World War
II was starting. The theme of the film was also very important because it explored the different aspects
of the capitalist system versus the communist system while portraying the capitalist system in a more
favorable light. However it makes a joke out the communist system through its portrayal of the three
comrades and their behavior. It addresses a major issues and takes a stand against it while also doing
so in a comical way. For these reasons, the film, Ninotchka had a very significant political meaning
because of the time period it was released and the risk it was taking against Russia who was a much
needed ally. It also shows the culture of the time period and how people were feared the threat of
communism and the influence it might have on their country. Ninotchka was able to encompass all of
these aspects and was able to portray it in a way that was enjoyable but was also very persuasive in
showing why capitalism is more favorable than

  • 2. Reasons For The Collapse Of The Han And Mayan Empires A number of complex and enduring empires have dominated large parts of Afro Eurasia, and Meso America. Among these were the Han Empire in China, the Roman Empire in the Mediterranean Basin, and the Maya in Meso America. These empires had wealth, power, and they are a vast size, but they all suffered their unfortunate collapse. There are multiple factors that contribute to the collapse of these empires such as warfare, taxes, the environment, problems with the government, religion, and shortage of resources like food and water. The reasons for the collapse of the Han and the Mayan empires are very similar. However, there are also some striking differences of the reasons why these empires collapsed. The Han Empire s disintegration happened because of 3 reasons: warfare, governmental problems, taxes, and shortage of resources like food and water. Warfare had an impact on the failure of the Han Empire because they needed a lot of strong and efficient armies which led to the need for manpower, food, horses, and weapons. These needs couldn t be fulfilled because the taxes were so high (governmental problem) that the peasants had no way of paying their taxes resulting many joining rich land owning generals lands which means that these peasants are now under their command. Since these peasants left their land to join those that were rich, their plots of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Why Is Anzac Day Important Why is the Anzac Centenary important for Modern Australia? Every year, Anzac Day is celebrated across the nation, unifying Australians regardless of their background or place of birth to commemorate the service and sacrifice displayed by the men and women of the Anzac Forces. The 25th of April 2015, will mark the Centenary of the Gallipoli Campaign, and will be one of the most significant commemorations to take place of its generation. Despite the Campaign having been deemed a disaster with a large number of casualties along with the failure to achieve military victory, it has contributed tremendously to the development of Australia s culture and identity. This Campaign observed the emergence of the Anzac Legend, encompassing the distinguishing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the Victorian Bushfires, for example, many Australian communities were confronted with tremendous loss and hardship. It was during these times that the Anzac Spirit was very apparent amongst the community, with the emergence of everyday Australians surfacing as heroes. Australian volunteers from across communities, along with official government services came together to assist victims and to ease their suffering in providing them shelter, basic necessities, as well as moral support. Nick Jans, a Vietnam Veteran, said the generosity shown after the bushfires invoked the Anzac spirit, which he stated was not just a matter of the armed forces but deeply embedded in the Australian psyche 4. It is through the influence of Anzac Legend that has inspired Australians to recapture the Anzac spirit, engraining the attributes displayed by them to their very own thinking process. Through such times, the significance of the Anzac Legend and its strong links and influence to the Australian community are clear. Therefore, the Anzac Centenary is tremendously important for modern Australia in acknowledging and honoring the Anzac soldiers that fought in Gallipoli, forming an inheritance that presently, has great meaning and relevance ... • 4. Strategic Strategy And Risk Assessment The business dictionary has defined success as the achievement of an objective or pre determined goal. For this study, being successful will mean strategic alliance partners achieving those objectives that necessitated their partnership. Uddin Akhter (2011) argued that strategic alliance success requires cooperative behaviour from all partners. They went further to state that alliance success depends on several factors such as active involvement in problem s solution, being trustworthy; to create value combining partners resources and capabilities and persuasion among the partners for cooperation and coordination of activities in a cooperative behaviour. Thomas (2014) outlined some key success factors for strategic alliances and are : (1) Strategic Rationale Derive cooperation areas systematically from business strategy including business case evaluation and risk assessment Engage in partnership only in case benefit generated and risks involved justify additional complexity compared to alternative solutions (2) Select partner High strategic and cultural fit between the partners Complementary capabilities, resources and/or reground footprint Matching product portfolios (3) Negotiate and establish Have a common vision of partnership, agree on fundamental values and convictions and have general rules and standards established Share main assumptions and realistic targets of all partners clearly at the start of a project Define clear decision processes ... • 5. European And Non-European Expansion In The 1500s And 1600s Europeans had many ambitions throughout the 1500s and 1600s. To achieve their goals, they deferred to the non European culture. The main question remains: how did the Europeans accommodate themselves to Non European culture? The European traders and missionaries would accommodate themselves by integrating into the Non European culture, by adapting their physical appearance, by referring to the traditional practices, and through the response of the native people wants to European goods. For Europe s influence to be successful across the world, they had a guide written by Father Jean de Brébeuf, called Instructions for The Fathers of Our Society Who Shall Be Sent to The Hurons. In this small guide, Father Jean, writes instruction for other European members to follow in order to be successful in their influence in the new world. The thought of being the superior race, followed them to the new world, so embracing a culture that they thought was low class, was a big change to the European men. As to the other numerous things which may be unpleasant, they must be endured for the love of God, without saying anything or appearing to notice them. They did not do anything that contradicts the Natives belief, as they were trying to convert them to the idealized culture. They were doing so in a way that the Natives did not realize they were being converted. So, the Europeans change their normal customs, to gain their trust. In which they accommodate to non European ways. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Gun Control In The Tao Te Ching The Tao Te Ching outlines that if people value great individuals, they become weak. Also, if people place high value on possessions, they start to steal. The Tao Te Ching also articulates that the master leads by filling the hearts of people, weakening their ambitions and toughening their determination (Lao tzu 3). The master assists individuals to lose their knowledge and desires and creates misperception in people who believe they possess knowledge. This concept can be applied in a political conflict in the contemporary world. It is evident that individuals have overvalued possessions. Overvaluing possessions has led to the emergence of various problems that have caused political conflict. According to Tao Te Ching, people start stealing when they place too much value in possessions. For example, the gun control debate in the United States has raged on for several years. On the one hand, the government argues that individuals should have rights over their guns to reduce gun violence. There have been numerous cases of mass shootings in the recent past. These incidents are attributed to the high number of guns accessible even to children and mentally challenged individual. The government argues that tougher gun control policies will ... • 8. The Relationship Between Television and Presidential... The aim of this paper is to look at the relationship between the mass media, specifically television, and presidential elections. This paper will focus on the function of television in presidential elections through three main areas: exit polls, presidential debates, and spots. The focus is on television for three reasons. First, television reaches more voters than any other medium. Second, television attracts the greatest part of presidential campaign budgets. Third, television provides the candidates a good opportunity to contact the people directly. A second main theme of this paper is the role of television in presidential elections in terms of representative democracy in the United States. Researchers tend to hold one of three views ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Democratic vote, however, declined 3.1 percent more in the postcall districts than in the precall districts (p. 874). This result suggests that the NBC prediction did have an impact on the election. Additionally, this result supports the impact of the media on political behavior. Some experts argue that rates of voting in the western states are not affected by early projections. Strom and Epstein argue that the decline in western states turnouts is not a result of the early projections by the networks but is the result of a complicated combination of factors, none of which is related to information received on election day (Epstein and Strom, 1981, pp. 479 489). This argument denies the influence of polls on the voting turnout in the first place, and it denies the impact of media on political behavior. Other researchers look at the issue of exit polls from a legal perspective. Floyd Abrams, a First Amendment lawyer, supports the constitutional rights of the media and says their exercising of their rights should not be restricted, even if that influences the voters: Once it becomes a legal issue, even people who believe that projections are harmful, or that exit polls are sometimes misused, should unite and say that the law should not be used to stop people ... • 9. Reflection Of The Movie Remember The Titans The movie I selected was Remember The Titans (2000). The movie was about leadership, teamwork, and overcoming obstacles. Remember The Titans took place in Alexandria, Virginia Where one high school became integrated with blacks and whites forming T.C. Williams High school. The football team at the school for the first time had blacks and whites doing the same sport together. The school board fired Coach Yoast from being head coach and hired a new head coach named Coach Boone who was African American. This led to problems with white families since they did not want a black coaching their kids and it caused problems for Coach Boone. However, after an incident with the white football players Coach Boone compromised with Coach Yoast allowing him to be the defensive coordinator in hopes of creating some peace in the tense time. As the summer came to an end football camp began. At football camp the audiences experiences the problems the black football players had with chemistry because of racism and hatred from their white teammates. However in the end of camp the team became brothers and does not see a person by their skin but what s on the inside. The boys were ready for football yet when they started school the Titans had to face the hardships of school and realize not everyone at school was as optimistic as they were which lead to more turmoil inside the team due to racism. Thankfully as time went on their bond grew and the team went on to become undefeated as well as win the state championship. The main characters in Remember The Titans were Coach Boone, Coach Yoast, Gerry Bertier, and Julius Campbell. Coach Boone was the head coach for the Titans, Coach Yoast was the ex head coach and was the defensive coordinator for the Titans, Gerry Bertier was the All American on the team and was the main white football player throughout the movie, and Julius Campbell was the main black football player on the Titans. All of these characters showed leadership throughout the movie. Coach Boone showed his leadership by forcing others to do what he wants no matter the cost. Multiple times throughout the movie the audience watches Coach Boone ordering players to run, redo a play, burpees and other commands. Coach ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Battle Over American Dietary Guidelines The battle over American dietary guidelines has been raging for decades. One of the most controversial issues in nutrition? Fat and sugar. For the past thirty years, we ve been instructed that a low fat, high carb diet is the best way to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle. In 1955, US President Dwight Eisenhower suffered a heart attack, and worked with his chief physician to encourage Americans to cut down on fat and cholesterol, stating that this would be the best way to avoid future heart disease. The first official government dietary guidelines were published in 1980, and they too advised Americans to limit fat and increase carbs. And though this diet surged in popularity (Remember the low fat craze in the 80s and 90s?), many are convinced it s actually the exact opposite of how we should be eating, and that sugar is biggest problem when it comes to weight gain and health problems. A recent article in The Guardian explores this controversy, and ventures to explain how we could have gotten so tangled up in this wild web of fat versus sugar. The article begins by introducing two important figures: Robert Lustig and John Yudkin. Lustig is something of a celebrity; his 90 minute talk titled Sugar: The Bitter Truth, has been viewed more than six million times on YouTube, and argues that fructose is the culprit behind a majority of American health problems. And while Lustig originally believed his idea to be revolutionary, he soon came to find that a British ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. John P. Kotter s Leading Change In the first chapter Leading Change by John P. Kotter brought out the fact that all companies (large and small) go through changes. Some are to remain competitive others are to keep up with the changing marketing tactics. These efforts have gone under many banners: total quality management, reengineering, rightsizing, restructuring, culturing, change, and turnaround (Review, 2011, p. 1). Now to add another name, my company calls it PEx (production excellence. It is really not looked at as a good thing. We have a separate PEx group. The Federal Reserve System is the central banking system of the United States. The Federal Reserve System was created over 100 years ago in December 23 of 1913. The Federal Reserve System was created in response to a series of financial panics particularly the panic of 1907. The panic of 1907 showed the need for central control of the monetary system if crises are to be avoided. • 13. Compare And Contrast Bbkar And Babasaheb Ambedkar When we talked about the famous Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi will be the first person that comes to most people mind. However, there are other many leaders that also played the important roles in reforming India. One of them is Babasaheb Ambedkar. If I have to compare both of them with the warlord, I would say that Gandhi is like the warlord who fight peacefully for the country liberation, while Babasaheb Ambedkar is like the warlord who fight for equality and justice in the country. To be honest, it is very shameful that I have never known Ambedkar before. Since after I have read his biography and what he had done, he suddenly became one of my idols. Ambedkar saw untouchability as the additional product of caste system, and believed that there could not be any uplift or relief from untouchability if there were not the abolition of caste. Moreover, Ambedkar believed that the caste system was actually a division of labourers which simply meant that the caste system is the basis of assigning occupations. This caused a stagnant economy in communities because the system did not allow people to have other professional skills and entered other professions outside the caste group. He said that fixity of occupations hindered the growth and development of the Indian economy and the society. In his thought, people should do the work that is best suited to them to gain the most efficient or else this would lead to immobility of both labour and capital. It could be said that Ambedkar was a challenge to Hinduism. By contrast, Gandhi was a devoted Hindu. He thought that the responsibility of eliminating untouchability should depend on the upper caste. As with any people of the Mande culture, the Bamana hold blacksmiths in their caste system to very important standards. People who manipulate wood and metal and transform them into useful or even dangerous objects are believed to possess potent amounts of an energy called nyama. • 15. Analysis Of The Movie Casablanca Intro Casablanca, first released on January 23rd, 1943 is undoubtedly one of the masterpieces of Classical Hollywood film. Written and released in the midst of World War Two it explores themes such as love, desire and especially sacrifice. Although the love story of the protagonists is the cause and catalyst for most of the narrative, one would not necessarily associate it with the conventional Classical Hollywood love story. Rather as a fabula based on the principle of the importance of sacrifice in order to overcome a common enemy, in this case the Nazis. Casablanca does indeed contain many of the common characteristics identified with the Classical Hollywood film. An example being the the way director, Michael Curtiz used a mainly chronologically ordered narrative structure and the utilisation of a Cause and Effect chain. In this essay I will looking at the various ways I believe this film does fall into the criteria of a Classical Hollywood narrative and also how some could perceive that it does not. From the opening sequence one can establish that Casablanca obeys the elementary principles used in the Classical Hollywood narrative structure. In the initial minutes of the film the audience is introduced via a voice over of the various political happenings prior to the films start such as Hitler s occupation of Europe and the surge of refugees who fled the Nazi s to Casablanca. The use of narration presents the audience with a simple introduction which the rest of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Impact Of The United Kingdom On Britain s Current Issues... With the United Kingdom being the 3rd European country with the highest GDP it is rather difficult to assume that issues such as negative economic growth, rising unemployment (Mooney and Scott, 2012) and consequently poverty would have any magnitude in its territory. However poverty does appear to be an issue in Scotland, even though it contributes as the 2nd largest percentage on UK s GVA (7.7% ONS, 2012). With the acceptance of the referendum Scotland was aiming for independence and therefore taking in its own hands decision making regarding sectors such as the economic one by prioritizing and making the right decisions in order to tackle issues such as that of poverty. After September 18th 2014 economic changes concerning currency, unemployment and natural resources would have an impact on Scotland s current issues regarding poverty. An issue that has been in Scotland s economic agenda afore the economic crisis of 2008/09 is poverty despite the fact that Scotland s economy was growing steadily until 2007 (McKendrick, J., et al. 2011). The Death Penalty Should Be Enacted In Illinois Essay The Death Penalty Should Be Enacted In Illinois Due to the recent releases of newly exonerated Death Row inmates, individuals and organizations are calling for a moratorium a cooling off period for state executions. The cases of just a few inmates makes it apparent that this would be a necessary step to save innocent lives. After 17 years in prison, Illinois Death Row inmate Anthony Porter was released from jail after a judge threw out his murder conviction following the introduction of new evidence. Yet, this call for a moratorium on the death penalty is not the first time that state executions have been opposed. Throughout its history capital punishment has been opposed on many premises. In discussion forums across the world many individuals often cite deterrence of crime as a viable defense of capital punishment. However, comprehensive studies, including the 1994 FBI Uniform crime Report, indicate that capital punishment does not serve as a deterrent to crime. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, the death penalty not only does not deter crime among states that have either abolished or instituted the death penalty crime and murder rates have remained unchanged. Additionally, Eric Pooley of Time magazine, in his research, reports that no proof exists to substantiate claims that capital punishment discourages crime by anyone other than the criminals whom are executed. These weapons allowed them to defend themselves any way possible. Defending themselves with weapons were not the only things they created with these metals. The Minoan and Mycenaean people created body armor such as shields, helmets, and leg and arm coverings. The body armor was just as important as the weapons. As a practitioner I am drawn to post modernist approaches that position the human experience as a social construction, and reality as a result of perception, language and culture ( ). Child pornography and sexual abuse are two of the most disturbing issues in the world today. Here this abstract aims to define the basic principle of nanotubes that is their definition, basic chemical and physical properties, their applications, their fabrication process in details and their future prospect. Nanotubes hold the key in the next generation of technological developments especially in case of electronic equipment s and energy storage. INTRODUCTION Nano is associated with anything in the dimensional range of nanometers (1/10^9 meter). A nanowire is a long cylindrical specimen having diameter in the range of few nanometers with an unconstrained length. Nanotubes are similarly hollow nanowires and consists of tubes of 1 atom wall thickness. As a whole we work with material properties in bulk and the quantum effects of atoms were averaged out. With nanotubes and nanowires we work with materials in single dimension and atoms start exerting significant quantum effect on mechanical properties and a wide range of new properties and applications are being discovered. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are constructed with length to diameter ratio of up to (1.32 × 108):1, which is significantly larger than any other material. This seminal intelligence scale assesses a child s general intellectual ability across four domains, producing four corresponding index scores: (1) the Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI), (2) the Visual Spatial Index (VSI), (3) the Working Memory Index (WMI), and finally (4) the Processing Speed Index (PSI). The VCI measures verbal concept formation, specifically assessing children s ability to listen to a question, draw upon learned information from both formal and informal education, reason through an answer, and express their thoughts aloud. An example item from this index is similarities, vocabulary, and comprehension. Next, the VSI measures non verbal and fluid reasoning and assesses children s ability to examine a problem, draw upon visual motor and visual spatial skills, organize their thoughts, create solutions, and then test them. An example item from this index is solving a 3D puzzle. The WMI measures working memory and assesses children s ability to memorize new information, hold it in short term memory, concentrate, and manipulate that information to produce some result or reasoning processes; an example item would be letter number sequencing. This measure is particularly important for higher order thinking, learning, and achievement. To be able to stop crimes from happening, there is a need for law enforcement officers to be able to predict that a crime will occur in order to prevent it from happening. As human nature, we always tend to push the limits, if we can commit a crime and get away with it, for most that will may just be enough them to motivate them to follow through.
