Media bias is something that I understand really well, however, this documentary made me realize
how much of an impact it has on other countries around the world. I have seen the impact media bias
has had on the United States, but I never realized how much it effects other countries as well. In the

This paper will jump into the psychologically significant findings in the movie 10 Things I Hate
About You. All research for this paper was conducted using the text required for the fall semester of
Developmental Psychology (offline) and using the internet. While some see the movie as just a
depiction of normal teenage life with an overbearing parent, there are many notable psychological
stages, and even disorders present throughout. Without having done research to discover these, it

either, on the other hand, is something not clearly defined in the tale. The relationship between adult
and child is not so clear cut, as the notions of good, evil and desire complicate how a child should act.
The ambiguity between when to obey and rely on adults, and when to make your own choices

paints how child readers view their own relationships with adults, possibly even empowering them as

My choice for consideration of this essay are Edgar Allen Poe s The Purloined Letter and, Katherine
Mansfield s The Garden Party . In reading these works I enjoyed the beauty with witch the words
flowed, because if often seemed like the writer was using poetry to present their story. The similes and
metaphors brought the text to life, and I was able to picture myself alongside one of the characters.
Even the use of onomatopoeias made my sense of sound participate in the reading. The diction with
which the author chose to have his/her characters speak help me to establish a time period and setting
in my mind. All of this helped to create a complete picture of what the writers were trying to convey
within their works; however, it was the word choices that made me feel as though literature is not

Methods Used to Derive These Predictions
Introduction
During the 1930 s, a period of severe dust storms caused great damage to the ecology and agriculture
of the Great Plains region in the United States. This period, known as the Dust Bowl, was caused by
severe drought conditions and poor farming practices put into place without proper understanding of
Great Plains ecology. The erosion of topsoil during this time produced extreme dust storms that could
reduce visibility down to one metre and had some dust storms even reaching the east coast.
Today, the threat of human induced global warming has caused some scientists to speculate that the
Great Plains region is set to experience semipermanent drought conditions similar to what was
experienced during the Dust Bowl. However, other scientists have claimed that conditions will be

Conquest is defined as the control of a place or people by use of force. Colonization occurs when
more species populate an area. After the Mexican American war the Mexican border went up in San
Ysidro California creating disagreement between territories. Conquest produced local, regional, and
national patterns of change and development. The conquest of New Mexico and the Unites Sates
Southwest now had distinguishable contradictions and tensions.
In 1519 Spanish arrived in Mexico and further fought in the Spanish American war in 1898. Latinos
were racially considered contaminated, cowardly, and outlawed. The conquest of New Mexico started
when the king declared that land was now open for settlement. The first official Spanish colony
created violence utilized to colonize native development. The colonization of the native known as
Pueblo Indians reacted. They traveled to New Mexico killing enslaved perceived leaders, destroying
tribal s sacred locations, burning villages, and demolishing their culture by tearing down work
routines, gender roles, and catholic practices. Mexico was too strong to face alone that allowed
success in the Pueblo revolt 1598, creating a force of multiple democracies against Mexico. The

Traditionally immigrants are face numerous challenges on a daily basis. Whether it be learning a new
language, raising their children, work, housing, accessing services, transportation, cultural barriers,
and many more. But, have we as society really thought who is to blame for this and why as we should
care. How this affects them in the long run. Having all these different emotion inside them from the

Dynasties. The Han Dynasty left China fragmented for centuries, and the Sui Dynasty reunified China
until the Turks from Inner Asia assassinated the son who ruled. The Tang filled the political vacuum in
618 with emperor Li Shimin (r. 626 649) who extended his power into westward Inner Asia. The Tang
kept many Sui governing practices but avoided overcentralization with giving nobles, gentry, and
