 As in many MNCs Microsoft Office Outlook is
used to send emails, email management for DNS
used in different organizations either same or
different. It is responsible for sending the mail
from either the employees or the clients to the
main server which uses the working of (SMTP)
Simple mail Transfer Protocol.
 The mail then reaches the server and checks
whether has to be sent to an address of different
DNS or the same.
 All is managed by Microsoft Outlook in windows
and for handling the similar situation in
LINUX/UNIX operating systems with the help of a
tool known as Email Server System.
 Email Server system is a lightweight,
completely command line based, SMTP
email agent.
 If you have the need to send email from
the command line, this tool is perfect. It
was designed to be used in linux, but it is
also quite useful in many other contexts.
 It has a very simple interface, making it
very easy to use.
 It can be used to send attachments as well
as normal mails to multiple users through
carbon copies or blind carbon copies as
well and hence is easy to manage as well.
 Email server is a specialized program which
receives e-mails from users and then
forwards them to the recipients. Such servers
can also carry out other functions such as
detecting email .
 An e-mail server is a computer within your
network that works as your virtual post office.
 A mail server usually consists of a storage
area where e-mail is stored for local users.
 E-mail server component that actually handle
the transfer of messages to and from other
mail servers and email clients.

Working:-
 This system is divide into two parts that is :-
1. Server
2. Client
1.Server:It is a program that executes at server side.
Server is used to accept request from client and process
result.
2.Client:Client is program that executes at client side.
Client is used to give request to the server and access
result.
 At the middle there is one button that is Add new if we
click on this button then new client is created.
 Server containing all information about the Client.
 Client containing the two mails that is sent-box and
in-box mail if client sending or accepting mail ,this
indicate in this box.
 In this system we uses Server and Client terminology
so to implement this system we uses Simple Mail
Transfer Protocol(SMTP).

 An E-mail client-server System involves
multiple clients connecting to a
single,central server.
 The server component provides a
function or service to one or many
clients,which initiate requests for such
services.
 College for Students
Communication
 Retail
 Finance
 Accounting
 Sales and Marketing
 Inventory Management
 Need to Run the Server
Continuously.
 Dependability: -
If the server is damage
then whole
system is collapsed.
 In future we will try to increase our
project to work via Internet.
 The Internet will extend the reach
and power of client/server computing.
Through its promise of widely accepted
standards, it will ease and extend
client/server computing both intra and
inter-company.
