An electric motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and electric current in a wire winding to generate force in the form of rotation of a shaft.

It is based on the principle that when
a current-carrying conductor is placed
in a magnetic field, it experiences a
mechanical force whose direction is
given by Fleming's Left-hand rule and

7. Alternating Current Motor
The motor that converts the alternating current
into mechanical power by using an
electromagnetic induction phenomenon is called
an AC motor.
This motor is driven by an alternating current.
The stator and the rotor are the two most
important parts of the AC motors.
