This presentation aims to elaborate the current prevailing education system and its emergence in India.
Anshika Singh, Masters in Corporate Communication Management 3rd Semester, 2016-18, Banaras Hindu University.
The Indian school education system is one of the largest and most complex in the world. The complexity of the system stems from India’s need to maintain standard and uniformity while giving scope for its diverse culture and heritage to grow and flourish across the length and breadth of the country. After independence, India has worked hard to provide access to almost all its young people, but it has only just begun to focus on aspects of quality and seek to improve learning outcomes.
Present Education System :
The present system of education was introduced and founded by the British in the 20th century, by the recommendations of Macaulay.
It has a western style and content.
The British Govt. did not recognize the traditional structures and so they have declined.
It is said that even Gandhi described the traditional educational system as a beautiful tree which was destroyed during the British rule.
EDUCATION FOR ALL:
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is Government of India's flagship programme for achievement of Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in a time bound manner, as mandated by 86th amendment to the Constitution of India making free and compulsory Education as a Fundamental Right.
Right to education:
The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act or Right to Education Act (RTE), is an Act of the Parliament of India enacted on 4 August 2009, which describes the modalities of the importance of free and compulsory education for children between 6 and 14 in India under Article 21a of the Indian Constitution. India became one of 135 countries to make education a fundamental right of every child when the Act came into force on 1 April 2010.
This contain the all the flaws and the solution of our education system and as well as the history of our education system where it comes form and where it goes.

Aluminum and Glyphosate Can Synergistically Induce Pineal Gland Pathology: Co...Jose Carvalho
Many neurological diseases, including autism, depression, dementia, anxiety disorder and Parkinson’s
disease, are associated with abnormal sleep patterns, which are directly linked to pineal
gland dysfunction. The pineal gland is highly susceptible to environmental toxicants. Two pervasive
substances in modern industrialized nations are aluminum and glyphosate, the active ingredient
in the herbicide, Roundup®. In this paper, we show how these two toxicants work synergistically
to induce neurological damage. Glyphosate disrupts gut bacteria, leading to an overgrowth
of Clostridium difficile. Its toxic product, p-cresol, is linked to autism in both human and mouse
models. p-Cresol enhances uptake of aluminum via transferrin. Anemia, a result of both aluminum
disruption of heme and impaired heme synthesis by glyphosate, leads to hypoxia, which induces
increased pineal gland transferrin synthesis. Premature birth is associated with hypoxic stress
and with substantial increased risk to the subsequent development of autism, linking hypoxia to
autism. Glyphosate chelates aluminum, allowing ingested aluminum to bypass the gut barrier.
This leads to anemia-induced hypoxia, promoting neurotoxicity and damaging the pineal gland.
Both glyphosate and aluminum disrupt cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are involved in melatonin
metabolism. Furthermore, melatonin is derived from tryptophan, whose synthesis in plants
and microbes is blocked by glyphosate. We also demonstrate a plausible role for vitamin D3 dysbiosis
in impaired gut function and impaired serotonin synthesis. This paper proposes that impaired
sulfate supply to the brain mediates the damage induced by the synergistic action of aluminum
and glyphosate on the pineal gland and related midbrain nuclei.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. WHAT IS EDUCATION?
• Education in its general sense is a form of
learning in which the knowledge, skills and
habits of a group of people are transferred
from one generation to the next through
teaching, training or research.
• Education is “Preparing a person to face
everyday life”.
4. EDUCATIONTODAY
• Today’s education system in india is challenging but
needs some more changes.
• The education system in india put more emphasis on
the theoretical knowledge than the practical.
• The quality of education must be improved rather
than quantity.
5. EDUCATION TODAY-KILLING CREATIVITY
• Present education system only
deals with the ‘Gyan’ between the
two covers of the book only.
• Knowing or unknowingly, other
extra curricular activities like
dance, sorts, arts, painting, music
have been buried under the
coffin-partially or totally.
6. CHALLENGES IN PRESENT EDUCATION SYSTEM
• Lack of will to learn in youth: because they are unable to adjust for long
periods in classroom, the ability of teachers to inspire students is
decreasing day by day. Because of this, people are becoming bookish
knowledge in present education system.
• Quality of teaching: The very recent graduates are appointed as teachers
which affect a lot, this is all done because the managements can reduce
their burdens of spending money for experienced ones.
• Reservations: There should be no difference between the forward caste
and the backward caste the students should be rated with the amount of
knowledge they have. There are reservations for govt. jobs also, if a
backward caste student just passes his graduation, it is more than
sufficient to get that govt. job.
• Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided today in any college is not
that sufficient as it should be. In govt. schools there are no proper
classrooms, efficient staff etc etc.
7. WHAT WE HAVE TO DO TO CHANGE TODAY’S
EDUCATION SYSTEM
• Focus on skill based education.
• Reward creativity, original thinking, research
and innovation.
• Implement massive technology infrastructure
for education.
• Get smarter people to teach.
• Make reservation irrelevant.
• Re-define the purpose of the education system.
8. SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN
• Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is Government of India's flagship
programme for achievement of Universalization of Elementary
Education (UEE) in a time bound manner, as mandated by 86th
amendment to the Constitution of India making free and
compulsory Education to the Children of 6-14 years age group, a
Fundamental Right.
• SSA seeks to provide quality elementary education including life
skills. SSA has a special focus on girl's education and children
with special needs.
• The programme seeks to open new schools in those habitations
which do not have schooling facilities and strengthen existing
school infrastructure through provision of additional class rooms,
toilets, drinking water, maintenance grant and school
improvement grants.
9. RASHTRIYA UCHCHATAR SHIKSHA ABHIYAN
• Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is a Centrally
Sponsored Scheme (CSS), launched in 2013 aims at providing
strategic funding to eligible state higher educational
institutions. The central funding (in the ratio of 65:35 for
general category States and 90:10 for special category states)
would be norm based and outcome dependent. The funding
would flow from the central ministry through the state
governments/union territories to the State Higher Education
Councils before reaching the identified institutions. The
funding to states would be made on the basis of critical
appraisal of State Higher Education Plans, which would
describe each state’s strategy to address issues of equity,
access and excellence in higher education.
