In Year 2 ECE SGA, you’ll be expected to collect
documentation samples for a subset of children in
your classroom to more fully paint a picture of
your students growth and development during
the year.

What counts as documentation?
• Children’s authentic work (writing samples,
artifacts created in centers)
• Observational notes/anecdotal records
• Developmental checklists
• Picture of a completed task (includes a
description of task and observational notes)
• Other observational tools (e.g. time sampling)

  • 11. Year 2 ECE SGA In Year 2 ECE SGA, you’ll be expected to collect documentation samples for a subset of children in your classroom to more fully paint a picture of your students growth and development during the year.

All rights reserved. 21 What counts as documentation? • Children’s authentic work (writing samples, artifacts created in centers) • Observational notes/anecdotal records • Developmental checklists • Picture of a completed task (includes a description of task and observational notes) • Other observational tools (e.g. time sampling)
