This document provides guidance on analyzing mid-year student data and determining what steps need to be taken to reach end-of-year goals. Teachers are instructed to quantify the growth needed to reach ambitious goals, identify standards still needing to be taught, and consider additional student support. Next, teachers should outline specific instructional actions and when, what, and how they will be implemented to address gaps. The purpose is to have a nuanced understanding of individual student needs and identify the most meaningful way for all students to succeed.

Let’s say you’ve taught all 10 of your
identified standards and 65% of students
have grown to a 2 averaged across the 5
domains. What would it take for you to
get to your Ambitious goal of 80%?
