The document describes the four main spheres that make up Earth: the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and spheres of the atmosphere. The geosphere consists of the crust, mantle, and core. The hydrosphere is all water on Earth, which can be liquid, solid, or gas. The atmosphere surrounds the planet and is made up primarily of nitrogen and oxygen with other gases. It is important for life as it contains oxygen, regulates temperature, and blocks harmful rays. The atmosphere has different layers including the troposphere where life exists and the stratosphere containing the ozone layer.

Grade 6. chapter 5. realms of the earth..
The Earth divided into 4 realms which are interconnected.
The names of the 4 spheres have been derived from Greek words for stone (litho), air (atmo), water (hydro), and life (bio)
The layer of the gas that surrounds the Earth is called atmosphere.
The atmosphere protects Earth from absorbing the harmful ultraviolet rays of the Sun.
It also acts as a blanket around the Earth.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. The geosphere is made up of three layers:
* The crust is the Earth’s outer layer. It’s
made up of solid materials.
* The mantle is the Earth’s middle layer.
It is extremely hot. In some parts, there is
a magma (red-hot liquid rock).
* The core is the Earth’s inner layer. It is
also extremely hot. It is divided into the
liquid outer core and the solid inner core.
2. All the water on Earth makes up the
hydrosphere. Water is usually a liquid, but it
can also be a solid or a gas.
Water in liquid form covers most of the
Earth’s surface. It is found in oceans, seas,
rivers and lakes.
Water in solid form (snow and ice) is
found in the polar regions. It is also found
on mountains.
Water vapour, a gas, is found in the
atmosphere.
3. The atmosphere
is the air which
surrounds the
Earth. Air is a
mixture of gases.
It is mainly nitrogen and oxygen. There are
also small quantities of carbon dioxide, ozone,
and water vapour.
The atmosphere is essential to life on Earth:
- It has the oxygen which all living things
breath.
- Carbon dioxide and other gases are like a
blanket which retains the Earth’s heat.
- Ozone filters harmful ultraviolet rays.
4. The troposphere is the lowest layer. Most
gases are in this layer. Plants and animals live in
the troposphere.
The stratosphere is the next layer. There is a
thin layer of ozone in the upper stratosphere.
This is called the ozone layer.
As we travel higher, the gases become less dense.
In outer space there is no atmosphere.
