Drunk Driving Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Drunk Driving" is a challenging endeavor that requires a
delicate balance of research, empathy, and a persuasive writing style. The topic itself is both
sensitive and significant, involving a complex web of legal, social, and personal implications. To
create a compelling essay, one must delve into statistics, legal frameworks, and the harrowing
consequences of drunk driving incidents.
Moreover, addressing the emotional aspect is crucial. Narratives of affected individuals, families
torn apart, and lives forever altered by the recklessness of intoxicated drivers add depth and
poignancy to the essay. Striking the right tone—conveying the severity of the issue while
avoiding sensationalism—is a fine line that the writer must tread.
Staying updated on current laws and ongoing campaigns against drunk driving is essential to
provide readers with the latest information. Additionally, exploring potential solutions, whether
they be legal reforms, educational initiatives, or technological advancements like ignition
interlock devices, adds a forward-looking perspective to the essay.
Organizing thoughts and information coherently is another hurdle. A well-structured essay
should have a clear introduction that captures the reader's attention, a body that presents
arguments logically and persuasively, and a conclusion that leaves a lasting impression. Citing
credible sources and maintaining a formal yet engaging writing style further contribute to the
complexity of the task.
In summary, composing an essay on the topic of drunk driving demands not only a strong
command of language but also a deep understanding of the multifaceted issues surrounding this
societal concern. It requires a thoughtful approach, blending facts and emotions to create a piece
that resonates with readers and, ideally, contributes to the ongoing discourse on combating this
dangerous behavior.
For those who find themselves overwhelmed by the complexities of such a task, there are
resources available to provide assistance. Similar essays and a variety of academic writing
services can be accessed on platforms like HelpWriting.net, offering support for those seeking
guidance in crafting impactful and well-researched compositions.

What Is T-Mobile Better Than AT T
CarlosCruz Miss Mcelligot ERWC period 16,May2016 T Mobile vs AT T T
Mobile is better than AT T because of network and cost reasons. My claim is
supported with facts from many articles and personal experience. It is preferable
because of its nationwide coverage, plans, benefits, and prices. T Mobile offers
sometimes offers the same plan or more valuable plan for a cheaper price. T
Mobile also has plans or benefits AT T does not offer or have. T Mobile is
preferred over AT T because they have the nations largest 4G LTE network, the
fastest nation wide network as I read on (tmonews.com). Also in the article
(gottabemobile.com) T Mobile offers are a lot better than AT T s offers different
plans, different payment plans, and offers you cants resist. T Mobile has a lot of
offers like trades and then you just pay the difference, they also have jump Wich

The 13th Warrior And Beowulf Comparison Essay
After watching the film, The 13th Warrior, and reading the epic, Beowulf, there are
several similarities and differences. The main characters are different, with similar
goals, but different reasons for doing what they do. The main idea never truly
changes, and is persistent throughout both the film and the poem. The differences in
the set up of the film outweigh the similarities, but the similarities of the plot and the
general concept are easily noticed.
Between the film and the poem, there are a vast amount of similarities. For example,
in both the poem and the film there is an epic hero. The film however is told from
the view of Ibn, the thirteenth chosen warrior to fight will Buliwyf (Beowulf) in battle
against creatures; and in the poem, the story is told from the view of Beowulf.
Between the two epic heros, they both strive and defeat the old race that attempts to
come back; and they both have to defeat a dragon or a fire serpent. Another
similarity is when they go into battle. In particular, in the film when Ibn and his men
were attacked by the warriors in the hut; and they fought for their lives to defeat the
leader. This scene is similar to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To explain, the film shows the better side of Buliwyf, the nobel and slightly more
nobleman side of him. It shows him fighting to protect his people of the kingdom.
In the poem, Beowulf is fighting for glory, fame, rewards or the ladies. He wants to
be self centered and he uses his abilities for his own well being, not for the good of
others. Another major difference between the poem and film is the plot. In the
poem, Beowulf went to the Danes land to defeat a monster named Grendel.
However, in the film, Buliwyf goes out to defeat a race, not a single being and its
mother, the race of wendols. Although the main characters are different in some
ways, the central idea never

How Does Shakespeare Use Power In Macbeth
Throughout Shakespeare s tragedy, Macbeth, it demonstrated that when power is
influenced by personal ambition, it leads to downfall and characters start to realize
power signifies nothing. Almost every character introduced into this play has used
their ambition to try to gain power or has used their power to get where they are
right now. Macbeths actions were guided by what the witches predicted for him, and
when that word went around, Lady Macbeth was controlled by the thought of power
too. The thoughts of power created conflicts throughout the book, starting with the
murder of King Duncan, all the way to the murder of Macbeth. When actions are
used to steal power, it leads to a destructive future.
Starting off, Macbeth shows ambition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

from her husband, so she starts to concoct plans to manipulate her husband into
murdering King Duncan. Macbeth did not feel comfortable with killing King
Duncan just to take the throne, but the persuasion of his wife made him realize the
benefits of being king. Although she knew that murdering is wrong, her personal
gain from the actions of murder is all she can think about. Lady Macbeth will go as
far as drugging people to get access for her husband to kill the king, That which hath

deliveries on Saturdays. Priority or express mail, packages and mail only medicine
will continue to be delivered but no personal mail. I m sure that would cause
uproar amongst the public because naturally some people depend on those

a consumer s only possible day to accept or receive the delivery. The U.S Congress
is stepping in and intervening and requiring The United States Postal Service to

Good Friend Definition
What is a friend? A friend is someone who will always tell you the truth. They are
the there for you through the hard times and the easy times. They will never leave
your side because they will understand you. A friend is someone you can count on
to do anything with. They will never hurt you and will always have something to

something is wrong. They will be more like your brother or sister to you because

In on way, why are they different is because they are both different grades with
different requirements. An eight grader doesn t have to be responsible of their
work, because they have it all in their classes. Now, a ninth grader has to be
responsible when it comes to their work because they take it everywhere. Being a
freshman requires so much work and so much effort because you are new to the
environment, it is a new life situation because you are not considered a kid
anymore you are more considered as a teenager with responsibilities. There are
many things a freshman has to do than an eight grader. Such as completing every
single subject for every single class, also taking responsibilities of your actions. In
High School you don t come here to play any games because it is your life after
these 4 years are over. In eight grade, lets say you still don t have to take many
responsibilities as a freshman. You have to be ready to participate and collaborate
on anything the teacher says, that will benefit you a lot. The work is slightly
different as well because it s harder and you just have to try your very best. It s good
to consider yourself to do good on many because the positive energy is what will
help you threw your High School
Microeconomics And Macroeconomics Of Microeconomics
Abstract
Economics is an enormous field. The term economics is the broader term, however
within this, there are additional fields such as microeconomics and macroeconomics.
The difference between microeconomics and macroeconomics is analogous to the
human body and the individual cell that makes up the human body. Macroeconomics
is involved with the wide lens aspect of society. In other words, macroeconomics
focuses on the broader large scale economy of a society. Macroeconomics focuses on
larger economic issues such as national employment rates, gross domestic product,
interest rates, as well as currency exchange rates just to name a few examples. On the
other hand, microeconomics focuses more on the narrower lens of an economy. This
approach focuses on the individual businesses and customers as far as economic
decisions are concerned. Specifically, microeconomics studies the decision making
process of the consumer. Microeconomics ask the question, how do consumers spend
their money? According to Investopedia (find source), microeconomics is at the heart
of consumer purchasing.
The Use of Utility in Microeconomics
The Impact of Key Economic Principles
Economics is a fascinating topic within our world. Pause and take a minute to look
around. Assuming you are not on a deserted island, everything you see is influenced
by economics. The clothes you wear, the food you eat, the electricity you are using,
are all influenced by economics. Our world is so greatly influenced by
The Negative Effects Of Social Justice
Mary Wollstonecraft, famous activist for women s rights in the late seventeen
hundreds declares, It is Justice not charity that is wanting in the world. The difference
between justice and charity can shape the way Americans live and think. For
instance, charity is appeasing the effects of injustice, while justice roots out the
problem and hopefully demolishes it. However, today in America people scream the
word discriminationor White privilege believing that it is the answer to all their
problems. They scream for social justicethat was supposedly never given to them.
They say these terms blaming others for their problems instead of looking at
themselves. The need for reparation for the past feeds their desire for social justice
and equality in everything. The new Social Justice movement has harmful effects
on America because it divides society, focuses on improbable equality, and pushes
one down to bring others up. White privilege, the concept of being at advantage
due to skin color has been the bases for arguments on improbable equal
opportunities in the fight for social justice. According to Su L. Boatright Horowitz,
author of Difficult Times for College Students of Color: Teaching White Students
about White Privilege Provides Hope for Change, white privilege is real and
growing in colleges in America causing white students to be ahead of the game.
Nevertheless, this belief is one sided. Where is the white privilege to those white

Distracted Walking Injuries
Texting and walking, a dangerous multi task many people don t notice. Although it

even just listening to music while crossing a street can be extremely dangerous.
Distracted walking injuries involving cell phones accounted for an estimated 11,101

crossing the street, especially if it is busy, which is why whenever you cross the road

There are a couple of reasons why using your phone while walking is because it can

Essay On How To Build Business Credit
How To Build Business Credit
So many business owners fail at establishing business credit due to fact most have no
idea how to approach the idea of achieving business credit credibility.
The lenders care about one thing:
Are you attractive on paper?
That is truthfully the only thing any lender will ever worry about. All lenders
measure risk in an effort to help them reduce the default rate a prospective client
could have. They do this by measuring the fundability of a business.
Here s five quick tips to help you establish your business credit in the quickest fashion
1. Ensure everything in your business is set up. You must be in a position to receive
credit in the first place before you apply. This includes a 20 point checklist a ... Show

with a Duns account for free. This virtually covers the cost of the system.
Knowing what trade lines are popping on your business credit profile is crucial to
the success of a business owner. Reason being, many revolving lines of credit rely
on the fact of starter vendors as trade references before extension of corporate credit
will be granted. Knowing what is on your business credit report can be the difference
between success and failure in establishing business credit quickly.
4. Make sure you are using no personal guarantee, no personal credit check vendors to
get started.
The idea of building corporate credit is to remove your personal liability from your
business risks right? Well then for that to be true a business owner must not take
on personal guarantees or allow personal credit checks to take place to be approved
the right way for business credit. Knowing which vendors do not require personal
guarantees of personal credit checks can be tricky. You have to have access to
underwriting guidelines to know exactly which ones do and which ones do not. We
have those inside our business finance suite. You can request this information up front
from the vendor if you wish or you
SLE Disease
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus aka (SLE) is an autoimmune disease that occurs in
most women. SLE causes the immune system to attack the bodies healthy tissues and
organs and this can be very dangerous to the body depending on the severness of the
disease. During this process the human body produces autoantibodies that begin to
attack the body thinking as if it was foreign invaders. (This picture shows the
autoactive body cells attacking healthy skin.)
Biology of the Diesease During SLE, the body s immune system doesnt work as it
should. In a healthy immune system, the body makes special proteins called
antibodies and a specific type of white blood cell called lymphocytes. These two
components are crucial to healthy immune system because they help to fight and
destroy foreign viruses and bacteria that can be harmful to the body. In SLE the
immune system produces harmful antibodies that work against the body s healthy
cells and tissues which are called autoantibodies. Autoantibodies cause inflammation
in the body that could severly damage organs and tissues. Most people tend to

clear pattern of inheritance or genes that causes SLE, People can inherit a gene

(which have very low chances) then SLE can be inherited froman autosomal

Carol Ann Duffy Shooting Stars
Carol Ann Duffy s poem Shooting Stars is a poem in which human suffering is
effectively portrayed. Duffy uses the situation of Nazi persecution of the Jewish
people to underline this. Duffy s use of an ambiguous title, together with her imagery
effectively explores this theme of human suffering.
The poem s title Shooting Stars creates a sense of ambiguity. The general
connotations applied to this phrase are that of a falling star or perhaps the beauty
and brightness of fireworks. However it is not until we reach the actual content of
the poem that we realise that the stars in question are those Stars of David, sewn on
to the garments of Jews on the order of the Nazi regime. Duffy establishes the

In the closing stanzas of the poem Duffy once again highlights the immensity of the
horror of those events by contrasting them with the civilised activities of the human
being i.e. the tea on the lawn and the boy washing his uniform . And these activities
apply to the reader, as they read of such events and yet return to their everyday
lives, they run to our toys to the oblivion that forgetfulness brings. She uses ellipsis

The final lines end on a note of tragedy for the poet returns us to the inside of the
concentration camp where inside the wire ...strong men wept . The poet again
emphasises the extent, the immensity of this event, when strong men are unable to
tolerate this. This return back to the concentration camps also shows the cyclic
nature of suffering in Duffy s message to the reader, humans inflict suffering unto
other humans and then when the events have been forgotten they are repeated. The
closing lines of the poem Turn thee/unto me with mercy for I am desolate and lost
is a reworking of verse six teen Psalm twenty five which is a prayer from King
David to God in which David places his absolute trust in God. Extending this idea in
that the Jews themselves ask the

Socrates is the ancient Greek thinker who laid the early foundations for Western
philosophical thought. His Socratic Method involved asking probing questions in a
give and take which would eventually lead to the truth. Socrates was born in Athens

Corrupting the youth I believe was the charge.
Socrates was put to death after Athens was released and he was ACCUSED of
impiety and professing falsehood to the youth, corrupting them and making appear
the worst cause as being the best.
And, to speak truly, he wasn t an atheist at all, though he did not conceived the divine
as they did; this, he even established it logically and prove Meletus to have falsely
accused him. But, in his usual manner, he did not bother about flattering the assembly
as the others did, even speaking of them as being ignorant and declaring that the right
judgement should be that of sending him where they send their helpful and older
men, to be certain that he can continue to reflect and help the Athenians without
having also to bother about food or the like.
They reacted to his speech very fiercely and violently; they condemn him to death, for
the humiliation he brought them so often and the words he held and that they couldn
t refute.
According to Plato s Apology, Socrates life as the gadfly of Athens began when his
friend Chaerephon asked the oracle at Delphi if anyone was wiser than Socrates; the
Oracle responded that none was wiser. Socrates believed that what the Oracle had
said was a paradox, because he believed he possessed no wisdom whatsoever. He
proceeded to test the riddle by approaching men considered wise by the people of
MERS-COV Infection Lab Report
In general, these lab tests fall into two categories:
Molecular tests, looking for evidence of active infection.
Serology tests, looking for previous infection by detecting antibodies to MERS CoV.
Serology tests are for monitoring purposes not for diagnostic purposes (11).
Routine confirmation of coronavirus infection based on detection of unique

Coal Mining Is Destroying The Economy
From 2011 to 2014, five thousand eight hundred coal mining jobs have been
stopped for a period of time or closed for good. Coal is a black or dark brown
combustible mineral substance consisting of carbonized vegetable matter, used as
fuel for energy. That energy is for heating something or creating electricity. Coal
is a
very important resource; it provides billions of people with heat for their homes,
electricity for lights, great paying jobs, and many other things.
The fall of coal is not only killing jobs, it is also killing the economy. Coal is losing

who takes chances and risks their life to achieve a fictional conquest. He are also

Lilo And Stitch Acceptance Essay
Sometimes you try your hardest, but things don t turn out the way you want them
to. Sometimes things have to change. And maybe sometimes they re for the better.
Nani, Lilo and Stitch Attitude. Acceptance. Adjustment. What do these three
words have in common? The three A s all play a vital role our lives, but more
importantly someone battling a sickness. They can be battling cancer, a rare
disease, an incurable condition or simply one low on the list of receiving enough
funding to help better treatment options to be found. No matter what the monster
is, the attitude you have on how to battle your way through, accepting what is
unfolding, and adjusting to the circumstances you learn so much and very quickly,
too. You quickly learn who are true friends/family by who stays and who goes. You
learn how to read people s character within minutes (you learn very quickly how to
read doctors/medical professionals) and how strong as an individual you are. For
years you are taught how the human body works and when it begins to fail you, in
a sense, you become blind sided. As the body is failing you one questions will
continuously pop up.... why? Why me? Why my child? Why my family/friend?
Why her/him? Why now? The sick life is cruel, heartless, and dreadful. It doesn t
how old or young you are. There is no regard if you had your life all planned out or
not. These monsters come in very abruptly, without a warning, no how to survive

Grizzly Bear Geographic Information Systems
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an essential communication tool for all
disciplines world wide. Being able to communicate through imagery allows for a
visual of data or information that otherwise is just words or numbers on a page. In
regards to grizzly bear habitat it is important to understand the relationship of the
species to the land. Making sure grizzly bears have access to food, water,
hibernation habitat, and space to roam is critical to there success as a species.
Grizzly bear populations, like many other animals, have had there territory greatly
reduced and separated due to human activity. The remaining grizzly bears will need
more access to each other or they could inbred themselves into extinction. Mapping
the the different populations allows for visual understanding of how these
populations can be connected. One of the biggest issues with grizzly bear
populations is that they are separated by roads and highways. Land bridges and
tunnels have been constructed in a few places like Banff National Forest in Canada,
but this is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is important to making sure a road is where the data says it is. Using UTM
coordinates and projections while having the datum in WGS 1984 means that all of
the data is in unicine. Another way of understanding this is if you were measuring
things in meters your want to keep everything in meters and not in feet. This is the
difference in feet and meters in construction is just as important when creating maps.
After all the data is in the same language , it is up to the cartographer to create a map
with the certain criteria. This is what was done in this project, we have our data and
now we have to use the data to communicate possible grizzly bear habitat. Using
different tools in GIS mapping, extract by attribute, reclassify, raster polygon,
intersect, buffer, dissolve, erase, clip etc., we were able to determine suitable habitat

The Souk Al-Manakh Stock Market Crash
Introduction
In August of 1982, an informal Kuwait stock market known as Souk al Manakh
collapsed (Rasmaroni, 2006). This happened when a female speculator presented a
post dated check for payment and it bounced ( Kuwait s Souk , n.d.). This relatively
small destabilising factor caused enormous losses, and the financial system was
nearly crippled with some $92 billion (Rasmaroni, 2006) from about 6,000 investors (
Kuwait s Souk , n.d.). Is this event the only factor that caused the crash? And what
made the crash so huge? To reveal the answer we have to dig deeper into history.

With only about half of the Souk al Manakh companies even publishing annual
reports, most of these companies were little more than shell games with very little
in the way of assets, let alone earnings. Company fundamentals mattered very little,
however, to traders who regularly saw these same stocks rising 20 to 50 percent a
month. Eventually, the securities of fifty four real and fictitious off shore
companies were traded on the Souk al Manakh with no relation to company
performances or prospects. Most of these companies had been founded as recently as
1979 or 1980 ( Kuwait s Souk , n.d.).
Adding fuel to the fire was the type of informal margin financing through the use of
post dated checks. They were accepted as a cash equivalent. This type of personal
credit didn t require a bank balance. ( Kuwait s Souk , n.d.) The Kuwaiti culture
mandated that payment should be made, else you would have violated the tradition
of trust and caused a loss of face upon the entire family. This caused a big amount
of speculative capital letting the Kuwaiti stocks skyrocket. The shares increased by
an average of 63% in 1981 ( Kuwait s Souk , n.d.). Not all transactions were made
using post dated checks. At least some of Kuwaiti merchants were willing to invest
money of the stock exchange. They
The Pros And Cons Of Online Dating

Analysis Of Girls In Trouble With The Law
When one thinks of the juvenile corrections system, they tend to gender this
institution, focusing mainly on young boys. Due to this, one often neglects the
thought there are also young girls that are in the system. This may be due to the
fact that when compared to young boys within the juvenile corrections system, in
previous years the girls consisted of a small portion within in this space. However,
according to recent studies, girls in the juvenile system has been rapidly
increasing over the last 20 years (Levintova, 2015). This is an issue which needs to
be acknowledge due to the fact that young women are caught in this system for
starkly contrasting reasons when compared to young males. These reasonings are
described in the book Girls in Trouble with the Law by Laurie Schaffner which we
will further explore. Girls in Trouble With The Law is an insightful and
informative book that describes in detail the experiences of some of the young
caught in the system. Schaffner obtains her data through conducting a multiyear
qualitative study with both court involved girls and as well as the adults involved
in their lives, during the late 1990 s (p 3). Her research was based in the United
States, more specifically in the Los Angeles Detention facility (p 4). The author does
a great job at linking the stories of the young ladies to social problems within our
society, such as poverty, racism, child abuse, substance abuse, and so forth. In
addition, she incorporates relative facts,
Psychopathology In Canvas
This brief opinion paper attempts to answer the question, Where is Psychopathology
Located? Is it in individuals, in relationships, in families, or in broader social
structures? It will also examine the shortcomings of my position. Some of the points
mentioned will be a reflection on the movie, Canvas (2006), which dramatically
presents the story of a mother, a father, and their son, in the midst of the
psychopathological illness, schizophrenia. In my opinion, the movie convincingly
portrays some of the dynamics of mental illness and its effects on the character s
family structure. In the movie the mother, Mary, is the one affected by the illness.
She is hospitalized due to her psychotic behavior. In her absence the father, John, tries

He begins to act out by skipping school and, like his father, reflects on happier times
shared with his mother on warm, sandy beaches.
For the three of them, their saving grace is the metaphor of the canvas, as the
mother paints on canvas to relieve her psychotic symptoms, the father wishes to fill
the canvas sail with the wind of change, and the son sews patches on the ripped and
tattered sail, just as their lives are in so much need of healing. Psychopathology can
be defined as the scientific study and classification of mental disorders, including
their biological, psychological and social causes. The classification and treatment of
mental disorders varies across several professional physical and mental health
disciplines including doctors, psychiatrists, chiropractors, psychologists, nurses,
counselors, social workers and ministers. Mental disorders manifest themselves in
many ways depending on the severity of one s illness, from suicidal tendencies,
hallucinations, and hearing voices on the extreme end, to minor discomfort and
anxiety with daily living on the other end.

India was granted independence from the British on 15 August 1947. Her to path
independence was not because of one person or just one movement. It was rather a
collection of multiple events which were both violent and nonviolent in nature. In
essence the Indian Independence Movement lasted nearly a century starting with the

this case the company relinquishing control of India over to the British Crown was
the Sepoy Rebellion of 1857. To control a vast territory the British copied the
French system of recruiting natives to serve in the army(Butler). Therefore, the
British enlisted the natives and trained them to serve as sepoy(soldiers) in the
army. Most of the sepoy were either hindus or muslims who would not eat meat or

however, were heavily greased with pork and beef fat (Streets). If the sepoys were to

The Myth Of Apollo And Daphne
Jackson DeBord P.2 Artist Statements Eros: For Eros, the god of love, I chose to do
his perspective on the myth of Apollo and Daphne. I made him resent Apollo for
being a braggart, and had Eros sound like his pride was hurt by Apollo s gloating.
He was just retaliating for Apollo s arrogance. For my picture of Eros I decided to
make him look like a child. I also made him hold both a torch, which is mentioned
in the original story and which I mentioned in my rendition, and a bow with a
quiver of arrows slung on his back, which is also referenced in both the original
and my telling of the myth. I decided to make the background of Eros a
combination of warm colors to represent the fire and passion of love. Nemesis: I
decided to do the myth of Narcissus and Echo from Nemesis s point of view for a
story of her. I tried to make her sound a little defensive because she has to give bad
fortune, which no one likes, and she is considered mean because of this, even
though she is only doing her duty and keeping balance and order maintained by
controlling fortunes. Nemesis is the goddess of divine retribution and justice and I
decided to incorporate this in my artwork by giving her a full body nimbus, the glow
depicted around holy figure s head in art, to emphasize her divine aspect. I also gave
her a balance and sword to show, like in my story, she is just trying to keep order, but
she will be forceful or violent in doing so. Hekate: For Hekate I decided to do the

Theories Of Psychology
The first theories talked about within chapter 4 are the inferiority and superiority
complex theories developed by Alfred. The infinity feelings are the source of all
human striving, and is normal among us all. It is brought about as soon as we are

example I can give of the inferiority feeling happened two days ago with the Rio
2016 Paralympic Games. Abdellatif Baka of Algeria won the T13 1500m final on
Monday night in a stunning performance that not only set a new Paralympic world

Horney believed that childhood was dominated by the safety need, which is a
higher level need for security and freedom from fear. She placed great emphasis on
the infant s helplessness. The more helpless children feel, the less they dare to
rebel against their parents. She also dwelled on anxiety which she called basic
anxiety. Basic anxiety is a pervasive feeling of loneliness and helplessness, that
becomes the foundation for neurosis. In childhood we try to protect ourselves
against basic anxiety by securing affection, being submissive, attaining power, and
by withdrawing. These self protective mechanisms serve the one goal of defending
basic anxiety. Karen also developed a list of ten neurotic needs. A neurotic need is an
irrational defense against anxiety that becomes a permanent part of personality and
affects behavior. Then ten neurotic needs are: affection and approval, a dominant
partner, power, exploitation, prestige, admiration, achievement and ambition, self
sufficiency, perfection, narrow limits to life. Developing these needs will not make
us feel safe and secure but help us escape the discomfort caused by
The Mission And Culture Of The Castle
a) How can the concepts in this chapter be applied and implemented in an
organization? As we have learned, the castle is an organization that bases its mission
and culture on service. The castle s primary purpose is to serve the town and
guarantee protection, and welfare to its people. Moreover, the entire hierarchical
structure of the castlerevolves around the ideals of serving those above me, while
promoting the wellbeing of the people. For instance, the servants serve the knights

the king serves the people.

and out castle. Let s say people providing good and the people buying these good

Serving everyone needs equally will keep everyone happy in their current
position, having a reward system in place will also help with overall satisfaction
and reduce turnover. We will have many people in each needed position and
reward those who stand out. Good service for all keeps everyone happy. d) Include
a discussion of what you will do to ensure ethical conduct of your employees.
Establishing a service culture would be beneficial in helping to ensure the ethical
conduct of our employees because both should go hand in hand. Ethical conduct
should be considered a part of high quality service. Employees who are caught
being unethical would be severely punished. e) Discuss how you plan to manage
diversity and multicultural issues in your organization. As stated a few times now,
the diversity and multicultural issues of the castle are minimal. The diversity of the
castle is composed of almost in entirety the same culture and ethnicity. However,
talks of expansion have begun to arise at the highest level of the nobility in order to
expand the fiefdoms. As we crush enemy empires we will begin to see a notable
increase in multicultural issues as we experience culture clash from our new workers.

The Goals Of A College Curriculum
The Manner in which Takaki Brings about the Goals of a College Curriculum
There are a significant number of goals that are essential for a college curriculum.
In order to be a successful student in college, a college curriculum gives individuals
an opportunity to explore themselves and the people around them, and it also
shows them how to be independent so that they can be able to cope and
successfully accomplish these goals to prepare themselves for their future lives. For
example, skills, such as discipline, creative skills, confidence, accountability,
perseverance, responsibility, flexibility, and independence will very much help one

According to Jonathan Brennan, professor of English at Mission College, through
A Different Mirror and the history of these people that helped shape American
history, students can have a more accurate understanding of who they are and
where they have come from. First and foremost, there are two particular chapters
in this book that have greatly helped me in reaching these goals of a college
curriculum. For instance, in chapter nine, called The Indian Question , Takaki
addresses the terrifying acts that were placed upon the Indians. After reading this
very unfamiliar and uncomfortable chapter, it has, in reality, greatly changed my
thinking patterns. For example, I became completely shocked and horrified of all
the cruelties that many different races did to each other, for they would brutally
and mercilessly kill women, children, and even babies. One of the Indians who was
in the midst of the chaos and catastrophe said, My son who was two years old was
shot in the mouth that later caused his death (Takaki 230). As a result, I became very
skeptical on what the English at that time were trying to accomplish, for they actually
caused great harm and distress. I also was in the process of critical thinking because I
just could not comprehend why the English took these bizarre and horrendous
actions. I thought to
Project On Marine Pollution
For this project my partner and I will be taking marine debris from the beaches of
the Kenai Peninsula area and making it into something more useful. More
specifically, we will be taking seaglass and making it into jewelry and other
decorations. The goal of this project is to reduce the amount of marine debris found
in the ocean and on the beaches. Reducing marine debris is vital to the economy
and ecosystems because it can reduce the number of animal deaths related to marine
debris, and it can reduce the amount of marine debris found in the ocean. If marine
debris is reduced then the ecosystems won t be as polluted. Eighty percent of marine
debris is made up of plasticmaterials. Marine debris comes from four main sources;
land based/personally used items, marine industries, container ship spills, and
natural disasters. Marine animals and birds can mistake marine debris for food, and
if they do swallow/digest the trash then it could lead to internal hemorrhaging,
starvation, and choking to death. They can also become entangled in fishing line,
plastic loops, nets, and ropes. If this happens then it could cause infection in the
animals, drowning, and starvation. So, if the population of a certain species start to
decrease, then we would know what was causing it. Our communities are disposing
more and more waste every year. In 2008, our global plastic consumption worldwide
has been estimated at 260 million tons, and, according to a 2012 report by Global

Death In The Aeneid
The presentation of death in Vergil s work, The Aeneid, indicates the inescapable will
of the gods. Written as Roman ktisis poetry, or a foundation myth , Vergil wrote The
Aeneid to strengthen the political influence of Augustus and provide the citizens of
Rome with an ethnic identity (Mianowski 68). To fulfill this purpose, throughout the
poem, the themes and events Vergil presents are distinctly Roman. In The Aeneid
, the
scenes detailing Laocoon and his sons deaths, and Creusa s suicide, show that
Romans view the concept of death as a tool to serve the Gods purposes. Not only did
The Aeneid provide the Roman citizens with a common cultural bond, it also
influenced the image of the afterlife in other notable works.
Creusa s death, which closes Book 2 of The Aeneid, serves as a manifestation of the
will of the Gods. Her role in the epic, while small, is important, as she is the one who
convinces Aeneas to flee the burning city of Troy. Just as Troy was destined to fall,
the Gods also ordained Creusa to die. As the only female in The Aeneid to advocate
order and fate, she gives the reader a hint at the circumstances of ... Show more

As evidenced in The Aeneid through the scenes of Creusa s and Laocoon s deaths,
Vergil presents the Roman concept of death as a fundamental tool the Gods use to

matter the choices the characters make, fate is inescapable. This is demonstrated
through both the fall of Troy and Aeneas ultimate founding of Italy. Even if the
characters try to retain the last fragments of power and choose to die as they see

Ultimately, the Gods used death as a form of divine justice and a way to send their

The Three Major Strengths And Characteristics Of
Research...
This literature review will be covering the topic on research paradigms. There are
three major paradigms in the research paradigms which are the positivist paradigm
research, interpretivist paradigm research and critical paradigm research. Each
research paradigm has its own strengths and effectiveness due to their unique
features which are specific to their particular approach as well as weaknesses. All
researchers have their own beliefs and methods while conducting a research.
Therefore, the ways of research studies conducted are vary. However, there is a
standard principle called paradigm that will act as a guidance to researchers actions
and beliefs. Paradigm is a concept developed by Thomas Kuhn in 1962 whereby it is

Positivist paradigm was developed by Auguste Comte who believes that it is
possible to observe social life and establish a reliable yet valid knowledge about
how it works (Cohen, Manion and Morrison, 2013). Positivist paradigm research
refers to philosophical positions that emphasizes on empirical data, statistical
analysis and scientific methods. This research is also called the scientific
paradigm or better known as quantitative research. Some examples of positivist
paradigm research methods are such as surveys and questionnaires. The purpose
of this paradigm research is mainly to determine whether a hypothesis can be
accepted or not. Additionally, Hughes (2001a) described positivist paradigm as a
way of seeing the world that frames a research topic and influences the way we
think about the topic. This means that by observation and experiment, everything
that happens around us can be explained by using the knowledge of universal laws.
For example, the story of Sir Issac Newton and the apple. The apple that fall from
the tree which coincidently hit Issac Newton s head had made him began to wonder
about the gravity force of Earth and thus the theory of gravity was developed
(Mukherji and Albon, 2009). From this example, the observed incident was the
falling apple while the underlying universal law was the gravity (Keesing,

A way for professional social work culture and institutional structure to further the
cause of practice research integration would be for them to embrace the contributions
of both academic and practitioner researchers alike. Then collaborations such as these
would incorporate projects that are research driven, where practitioners assist the
work of researchers and practice driven projects in which researchers act as
consultants to practitioners. Institutional arrangements such as these would have the
effect of empowering practitioners as co creators of social work knowledge rather
than disempowering them by emphasizing their knowledge building incapacities or
treating them merely as guideline implementers (Epstein, 2009 p. 227).

The Three Branches
The plan to divide the government into three branches was proposed by James
Madison, at the Constitutional Convention of 1787. He modeled the division from
who he referred to as the Perfect Governor, as he read Isaiah 33:22; For the Lord is
our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us. http:/
/www.eadshome.com/QuotesoftheFounders.htm The founding fathers of the
American Constitution divided the government up into the following three branches
to prevent the majority from ruling with an iron fist; legislative, judicial, and
executive. The three braches were created by the Constitution: Article 1, Legislative

(SITE, p.). The judicial branch is comprised of the Federal, District, and Appeals
Courts, which judge cases concerning federal law, but the Supreme Court decides
if the law agrees with the U.S. Constitution. http://answers.yahoo.com/question

by the other two in several ways. The president can veto a law which was passed
by Congress, yet Congress can override the veto with a two thirds vote of both
houses. Members of the Supreme Court, which are appointed by the president and
approved by Congress, can declare a law passed by Congress is unconstitutional.
The U.S. Constitution, Article 1 Section 1, states that the legislative branch be
created from two separate bodies: a House of Representatives and a Senate, together
is known as Congress. Legislative Branch The Legislative branch has the power to
pass federal laws, establish federal courts, override a Presidential veto, and impeach
the President. The size of the House of Representatives resulted out of the Great
Compromise. The number of Representatives is determined by Congress based on the
state population. At minimum each state would have one representative, with larger
states having more. When the House was created there was one representative for
every thirty thousand people, yet currently we have one
Essay on Business Marketing
Examine the nature of the distinctive managerial, organisational and developmental
characteristics of small businesses vis Г vis well resourced large companies. What
are the implications of such distinctiveness for small businesses attempting to achieve
sustained growth?
Entrepreneur is someone who takes a risk and initiates to take up an opportunity in
the market for any goods or service to be sold to the consumers. All decisions are
made by the entrepreneur as he is the risk taker and this obviously involves people
working under him for example managers. All the capital is raised, decisions are
made by the entrepreneur and business activities are monitored by the owners itself.

Branson had earned enough money from his record shop to buy a country estate, in
which he installed a recording studio. He leased out studio time to fledgling artists,
including multi instrumentalist Mike Oldfield and controversial bands like the Sex
Pistols, whom other companies were reluctant to sign. Virgin Records won praise for
exposing the public to obscure avant garde music, but Branson sold the Virgin label
to EMI in 1992, to help fund his airline company.
Branson had formed Virgin Atlantic Airwaysin 1984, and he went on to launch Virgin

continues to launch new business ventures, with Virgin healthcare announcing in
January 2008 that it would open a chain of health care clinics that would offer
conventional medical care alongside homeopathic and complementary therapies.

Drunk Driving Essay.pdf

  • 1. Drunk Driving Essay Crafting an essay on the subject of "Drunk Driving" is a challenging endeavor that requires a delicate balance of research, empathy, and a persuasive writing style. The topic itself is both sensitive and significant, involving a complex web of legal, social, and personal implications. To create a compelling essay, one must delve into statistics, legal frameworks, and the harrowing consequences of drunk driving incidents. Moreover, addressing the emotional aspect is crucial. Narratives of affected individuals, families torn apart, and lives forever altered by the recklessness of intoxicated drivers add depth and poignancy to the essay. Striking the right tone—conveying the severity of the issue while avoiding sensationalism—is a fine line that the writer must tread. Staying updated on current laws and ongoing campaigns against drunk driving is essential to provide readers with the latest information. Additionally, exploring potential solutions, whether they be legal reforms, educational initiatives, or technological advancements like ignition interlock devices, adds a forward-looking perspective to the essay. Organizing thoughts and information coherently is another hurdle. A well-structured essay should have a clear introduction that captures the reader's attention, a body that presents arguments logically and persuasively, and a conclusion that leaves a lasting impression. Citing credible sources and maintaining a formal yet engaging writing style further contribute to the complexity of the task. In summary, composing an essay on the topic of drunk driving demands not only a strong command of language but also a deep understanding of the multifaceted issues surrounding this societal concern. It requires a thoughtful approach, blending facts and emotions to create a piece that resonates with readers and, ideally, contributes to the ongoing discourse on combating this dangerous behavior. For those who find themselves overwhelmed by the complexities of such a task, there are resources available to provide assistance. • 2. What Is T-Mobile Better Than AT T CarlosCruz Miss Mcelligot ERWC period 16,May2016 T Mobile vs AT T T Mobile is better than AT T because of network and cost reasons. My claim is supported with facts from many articles and personal experience. It is preferable because of its nationwide coverage, plans, benefits, and prices. T Mobile offers sometimes offers the same plan or more valuable plan for a cheaper price. T Mobile also has plans or benefits AT T does not offer or have. T Mobile is preferred over AT T because they have the nations largest 4G LTE network, the fastest nation wide network as I read on (tmonews.com). Also in the article (gottabemobile.com) T Mobile offers are a lot better than AT T s offers different plans, different payment plans, and offers you cants resist. T Mobile has a lot of offers like trades and then you just pay the difference, they also have jump Wich allows people to switch phones or upgrade at anytime. These offers get the customers attention and a lot of other people s attention.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. The 13th Warrior And Beowulf Comparison Essay After watching the film, The 13th Warrior, and reading the epic, Beowulf, there are several similarities and differences. The main characters are different, with similar goals, but different reasons for doing what they do. The main idea never truly changes, and is persistent throughout both the film and the poem. The differences in the set up of the film outweigh the similarities, but the similarities of the plot and the general concept are easily noticed. Between the film and the poem, there are a vast amount of similarities. For example, in both the poem and the film there is an epic hero. The film however is told from the view of Ibn, the thirteenth chosen warrior to fight will Buliwyf (Beowulf) in battle against creatures; and in the poem, the story is told from the view of Beowulf. Between the two epic heros, they both strive and defeat the old race that attempts to come back; and they both have to defeat a dragon or a fire serpent. Another similarity is when they go into battle. In particular, in the film when Ibn and his men were attacked by the warriors in the hut; and they fought for their lives to defeat the leader. This scene is similar to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To explain, the film shows the better side of Buliwyf, the nobel and slightly more nobleman side of him. It shows him fighting to protect his people of the kingdom. In the poem, Beowulf is fighting for glory, fame, rewards or the ladies. Due to this, one often neglects the thought there are also young girls that are in the system. This may be due to the fact that when compared to young boys within the juvenile corrections system, in previous years the girls consisted of a small portion within in this space. However, according to recent studies, girls in the juvenile system has been rapidly increasing over the last 20 years (Levintova, 2015). This is an issue which needs to be acknowledge due to the fact that young women are caught in this system for starkly contrasting reasons when compared to young males. These reasonings are described in the book Girls in Trouble with the Law by Laurie Schaffner which we will further explore. Girls in Trouble With The Law is an insightful and informative book that describes in detail the experiences of some of the young caught in the system. Schaffner obtains her data through conducting a multiyear qualitative study with both court involved girls and as well as the adults involved in their lives, during the late 1990 s (p 3). Her research was based in the United States, more specifically in the Los Angeles Detention facility (p 4). In addition, she incorporates relative facts,

Is it in individuals, in relationships, in families, or in broader social structures? It will also examine the shortcomings of my position. Some of the points mentioned will be a reflection on the movie, Canvas (2006), which dramatically presents the story of a mother, a father, and their son, in the midst of the psychopathological illness, schizophrenia. In my opinion, the movie convincingly portrays some of the dynamics of mental illness and its effects on the character s family structure. In the movie the mother, Mary, is the one affected by the illness. She is hospitalized due to her psychotic behavior. In her absence the father, John, tries to cope ... Psychopathology can be defined as the scientific study and classification of mental disorders, including their biological, psychological and social causes. The classification and treatment of mental disorders varies across several professional physical and mental health disciplines including doctors, psychiatrists, chiropractors, psychologists, nurses, counselors, social workers and ministers. Mental disorders manifest themselves in many ways depending on the severity of one s illness, from suicidal tendencies, hallucinations, and hearing voices on the extreme end, to minor discomfort and anxiety with daily living on the other end.

Most of the sepoy were either hindus or muslims who would not eat meat or consume pork respectively. By early 1857, the British began issuing new rifles to the sepoy regiments. I made him resent Apollo for being a braggart, and had Eros sound like his pride was hurt by Apollo s gloating. He was just retaliating for Apollo s arrogance. For my picture of Eros I decided to make him look like a child. I also made him hold both a torch, which is mentioned in the original story and which I mentioned in my rendition, and a bow with a quiver of arrows slung on his back, which is also referenced in both the original and my telling of the myth. I decided to make the background of Eros a combination of warm colors to represent the fire and passion of love. Nemesis: I decided to do the myth of Narcissus and Echo from Nemesis s point of view for a story of her. I tried to make her sound a little defensive because she has to give bad fortune, which no one likes, and she is considered mean because of this, even though she is only doing her duty and keeping balance and order maintained by controlling fortunes. Nemesis is the goddess of divine retribution and justice and I decided to incorporate this in my artwork by giving her a full body nimbus, the glow depicted around holy figure s head in art, to emphasize her divine aspect. I also gave her a balance and sword to show, like in my story, she is just trying to keep order, but she will be forceful or violent in doing so. Hekate: For Hekate I decided to do the fairly famous

More specifically, we will be taking seaglass and making it into jewelry and other decorations. Reducing marine debris is vital to the economy and ecosystems because it can reduce the number of animal deaths related to marine debris, and it can reduce the amount of marine debris found in the ocean. If marine debris is reduced then the ecosystems won t be as polluted. Eighty percent of marine debris is made up of plasticmaterials. Marine debris comes from four main sources; land based/personally used items, marine industries, container ship spills, and natural disasters. Marine animals and birds can mistake marine debris for food, and if they do swallow/digest the trash then it could lead to internal hemorrhaging, starvation, and choking to death. They can also become entangled in fishing line, plastic loops, nets, and ropes. If this happens then it could cause infection in the animals, drowning, and starvation. So, if the population of a certain species start to decrease, then we would know what was causing it. Our communities are disposing more and more waste every year. Additionally, Hughes (2001a) described positivist paradigm as a way of seeing the world that frames a research topic and influences the way we think about the topic.
