Critical Reflection In the book Encountering the book of Isaiah Beyer had listed five major themes
for the book of Isaiah. Some are more in depth than the others but all of them get the point across
that is needed to be stated. These five themes are the remnant, the sovereignty of God, the servant,

In this study we constructed we researched whether different sucrose concentrations affect the rate
of osmosis. In order to do this, we constructed artificial cells out of dialysis tubing filled with 20%
sucrose and 40% sucrose and weighed them every 10 minutes for 90 minutes. In doing so, we
concluded that the higher the sucrose concentration, the faster the rate of osmosis.

Osmosis is the passive movement of water from an area of low solute concentration to an area of
high solute concentration, normally across a membrane which prevents the movement of solvent.
This is a process by which materials may move into, out of, or within cells. Osmosis doesn t
depend on energy provided by living organisms but is affected by the properties of the cell
membrane. The rate of osmosis is dependent on such factors as temperature, pressure, molecular
properties such as size and mass, and the concentration gradient. In osmosis, the relationship
between a solute s concentration outside of cell and inside of a cell is described in terms of the
tonicity of the solution outside of the cell. A cell is in a hypotonic solution when the solute is more

Poe The Tell Tale Heart and The Cask of Amontillado are both well known short horror stories
written by Edgar Allan Poe. Both short stories share similar themes and atmospheres. They are dark,

This story begins around dusk when the narrator, Montresor, comes upon the antagonist,
Fortunato. As the evening darkens, so does the plot of this short story. Montresor leads Fortunato
into his vaults where he keeps his most prized wines. The vaults go very deep, are very dark, and
are covered in nitre, which is a mineral that grows upon the damp walls of the vaults and irritates
Fortunato s throat. As the story reaches its climax, Fortunato is led into the deepest and darkest

dismembered old man is hidden underneath the floorboards of the room, in a very small and
cramped space that would require his body to be chopped up before he could fit in. In The Cask
of Amontillado, the vaults are enormously claustrophobic. The walls are damp, there are no
windows or fresh air, and the antagonist will ultimately meet his demise by being trapped in a

On August 9, 2014, the resurgence of social unrest similar to the 1960s civil rights movement
began. Michael Brown, a black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, was shot and killed by Darren
Wilson, a white police officer. Initially, the shooting had minor media attention, but it slowly
accumulated. As more media outlets shed light on the topic, many people, especially those in the
black community, suspected that the shooting was racially charged. After the shooting of Michael
Brown, more stories of unarmed black peoplebeing killed by white officers surfaced, suggesting

she awaited the arrival of Crenshaw. Crenshaw stood on her balcony as she witnessed Wilson s
pursuit of Brown; her crucial description included the detail that Brown s body was reversed from
the direction he ran because he attempted to inform Wilson that he was defenseless. Crenshaw s
point about the direction of Brown s body connects with Johnson s point that Brown faced the
officer to surrender. Freeman tweeted about the shots he overheard outside of his home. A
