Analyzing The Crime Patterns Generated By The First Layer...
Trend analysis can be executed in layers to transform crime data. The first layer incorporated
identification of incidents and crime events that require further investigation. Analyze the crime
patterns generated by the first layer and create a trend analysis. MVPD will use this analysis and share
the information throughout the department. MVPD will implement a policy to combat the crime or
public disorder identified in the first layer. The next layer will educate the community to detail the
department s goals and commitment in addressing crime concerns. The final layer will address the
tools, resources, and techniques required to forecast future crimes and deploy them to locations
identified by ArcGIS. Supporting current and future policing initiatives In an attempt to support
current MVPD goals and incorporate predictive policing measures, we will employ a highly trained
team of competent staff members fully qualified to use ArcGIS. This team will provide a quick and
rapid response to predictive policing analyses. MVPD will use this intelligence to reduce crime
activity by utilizing predictive practices. MVPD will always portray a professional and ethical
standard when engaging in predictive policing. Implementation of the Predictive Crime Model
Forecasting crime The forecasting of crime involves outlining crime data and issues interpreted by
MVPD analyst. Weekly meetings will be conducted with predictive policing analysts to summarize all
statistical data

Dr. Mishra s Life
Present, future tense except talking about Dr. Mishra s life
A Gallery of Rosemarie Salem Seaport, located in the province of Massachusetts was the first

Thanks to the objects belonging to a person in the Museum field the objects would be well taken care
of. The Buddha is seated in half lotus with his hands folded palms up on his lap. His skin is stained
black while his robe and pointed headpiece are silver. He has traditional long lobes, closed eyes, a
smiling face, and has beauty mark on his forehead a bindi. The wood has been kept safe and there are
no visible signs of erosion after a hundred years.
As is the Maritime Painting of the Indian Ocean entitled A Sea of Starlight (2016 CE). The painting is
mostly black with the whitecaps of waves caused by the light of a low hanging moon.. The longer the
viewer observes the painting they more they will be able to identify. The stars appear the closer you
are to the painting and even the horizon defined dimly with deep shades of blue that fades into black.
The only recognizable constellation is Orion, whose bow points to a city whose lights are so faint
most never see it. This would be on the central wall across from the entrance. This wall would have
the intro text in large letters to the left of painting. The tag would say:
Painted in the winter break of Dr. Mishra s return from her first visit to India during her Fall Semester
of 2016 her Junior year. She attended Graduate classes at the University of Hyderabad in Telangana,

Gender Challenges Within The Business Of Sports
Abstract Gender challenges in sports have been around for centuries. Male and female genders are
treated differently in more than one way. The research I have gathered show the differences in all
aspects of sports related business areas such as, ticket sales, facilities, price of tickets, media coverage,
Sports Illustrated covers, and sports reporters. The purpose of this research is to bring attention the
disparities that women follow in the business of sports. Women are stereotyped, discriminated against,
and harassed in all aspects I have discussed. So my final thoughts on my research are that women will
always be acknowledged for their beauty, body, and sex appeal. A woman s knowledge of sports,
athleticism, and love for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of this research is to bring attention to the lack of women s sports coverage in the media
and show how male sports have taken priority over women s sports. Gender Challenges in Ticket
Sales In 1994 the ticket prices for 308 different universities within the NCAA division 1 men s and
women s basketball teams were validated in a study. The study shows that men s prices started out
higher than the price of women s basketball tickets. From 1994 to 1997 both men s and women s
ticket prices increased a quarter. (p. 229) by 1997 men s basketball tickets totaled to be $9.75 and
women s tickets were $4.75. (p. 230) Analysis shows that the increase in men s tickets compared to
women s is shown through the evaluation of each athletic program.(p. 234) For example, the
University of Tennessee women s basketball program is stronger than the men s basketball program
therefore ticket sells for the UT women s basketball is going to be a higher margin than the men. The
University of Kentucky men s basketball program is stronger than the women s so the big blue fan
base would be paying a higher price to watch the wildcats play at Rupp Arena than the lady cats
playing Memorial Coliseum. The discrepancy in gender shows that the ticket prices for men tend to be
higher than women. From the study in the early 90 s to now the ticket pricing has shown more equity
in both genders athletic events. Discrimination in Olympics News Coverage The

The Legacy Of Jackson Pollock
One cannot hear the name, Jackson Pollock without instantly thinking of the words abstract, radical,
and expressionist. His legacy that he left behind is one to admire, with his skills of detaching line from
color, refining categories of drawing and painting, and finding new means to describe pictorial space.
(Jackson Pollock and His Paintings)
Jackson Pollock s life began in Cody, Wyoming in 1912. His father, Leroy was a farmer and later in
life became a surveyor for the government. Because of his father s job as a government surveyor,
Pollock was able to travel to many places with his father, even experiencing some Native American
culture with which he attributes some of his art pieces to. When Pollock got older he enrolled himself
at the Students League in New York in 1929. He studied here under the hands of regionalist painter,
Thomas Benton. During this time, Pollock created mostly realist modern American art with influences
coming from Mexican muralist painters and surrealist. It was not until 1939, while visiting The
Museum of Modern Art in New York City that Pollock changed his art style. Within this museum was
an exhibit called, Picasso: 40 Years of His Art that had over 300 works of art in addition to his anti war
morals. This led Pollock to the realization and admiration of the power of European modernism. This
realization created his new style of semi abstract totemic works.
When WWII ended, its aftermath fueled the style of radical, abstract expressionism

Critique Of The Book Of Eli

The Book of Eli
Superbly written and astonishing storytelling!
At first, I thought the Book of Eli is just another ferocious film featuring what life would have been
after the judgement day. But beyond the blood sputtered scenes and vulgar language, viewers will
appreciate the simplicity of the story and the complexity and profoundness of its nature and form. The
film features a compelling story based on the Christian bible which for me exceeded majority of some
motion pictures released in the past years.
Denzel Washington, an Oscar winner and a self professed Christian, was able to portray his character
with so much sincerity and profoundness of depth and emotion. In a world of chaos where violence
and desire for survival prevails, Eli was given an important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But for me, the rating was unnecessary because it only depicts the reality of life in a post apocalyptic
world. Directors and scriptwriters definitely didn t hold back on the violence by showing the bits and
pieces of the evil world. There are scenes where women are taken advantage of by cold blooded
gangs. Face to Face warfare and weapons fighting also became a norm throughout the movie.
The Book of Eli is a well built story about a strong minded man who will do anything and everything
just to follow and obey the will of the Lord. However, the cruelty and explicit language used is
inappropriate for families. Anyway, I believe it is really meant for adult audiences so maybe in the
near future the director would consider releasing the same quality movie that will reach the masses.

A Study Of Current System Essay
2.1: Study of current system
The current system consists of manually carrying out all the tasks such as
: telephonic communications regarding need of blood,
: searching the blood from storage,
: retrieving the required blood group,
: performing necessary documentations and
: delivering the blood.
This raises the cost and time required to a considerable extent. Moreover, the efficiency is reduced .
Sometimes, due to technical errors the blood delivered may be unhealthy but still it is given to the
patient in need causing altogether more complications.
The manual transmission might prove in vain if the blood group isn t available at the blood bank. It
wastes the passing time to a greater extent as after the end of checking the availability, still the seeker
has to undergo the whole procedure again along with travelling to another blood bank.
The worst case scenario takes place when the blood banks in that area doesn t contain the required
blood group. The time gets wasted and also in the end you do not get what was required.
As a result, keeping such problems in mind and many more a solution had to be thought of.
2.2: Problems and weaknesses of current system
: At present, the public can only know about the blood donation events through conventional media
means such as radio, news paper or television advertisements. There is no information regarding the
blood donation programs available on any of the portal.
: The current system that is using by the blood bank is

Characteristics of a Classical Hero Demonstrated in The...
The Labours of Hercules introduces the most famous Greek hero in mythology, Hercules. He
completes twelve immense tasks at an early age for killing his family while under a curse from Hera.
The story of his labours contains many reasons why Hercules is classified as a classical hero. Hercules
exhibits many of the traits of a classical hero, including numerous guides, hazardous journeys and
several hardships and afflictions.
Hercules demonstrates one trait of a classical hero by asking for or accepting assistance from other
characters throughout the story. Two of his most obvious moments of assistance were when he asks
the King of Thebes for his twelve tasks and when he needs help during the search for one of Hera s
treasures. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hercules demonstrates a second characteristic when he embarks on his twelve incredibly dangerous
labours. By completing these tasks, Hercules would be forgiven for the killing of his family while
under Hera s spell. An instance of one of these tasks is when he must destroy Hydra, a creature with
many heads, one of which is immortal. He fulfills this task by cutting off most of its heads and then
laying its immortal head under a rock for eternity. On another labour Hercules is sent to retrieve
Cerberus (the three headed dog of Hades) and bring him to the King then, return it to the post at the
entrance to the underworld. These and many other of Hercules immense tasks therefore display a vital
quality of a hero in classical mythology.
A third trait of a classical hero is demonstrated when Hercules experiences many afflictions and
misfortunes during his journeys. Ever since Hera s husband Zeus had an affair and gave life to
Hercules, she has hated him and is responsible for most of his afflictions. One of these afflictions is
when Hera drove Hercules mad and made him kill his wife and family. Another example of his
misfortunes is when Hera sent two very dangerous snakes after him when he was only eight months
old; luckily Hercules was incredibly strong and defeated the deadly snakes. The tremendous amount
of hardships along his quest therefore reflects a third heroic quality in Hercules.
Many characteristics of a classical hero are demonstrated by Hercules in

Essay on The Canterbury Tales
The Canterbury Tales
The Prologue to The Canterbury Tales were told during a pilgrimage journey from London to the
shrine of the martyr
St. Thomas a Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. This was approximately 70 miles to the southeast.
These Tales were told by a group of 29 pilgrims, and a Host who met up with them at the Tabard Inn.
They left the Inn on the morning of
April, 11. The Nun s Priest Tale was the first story actually told, this was determined by whoever drew
the shortest straw. The pilgrim who told the best story would win a free dinner, and the loser s had to
pay for his dinner. Geoffrey Chaucer who was without a doubt the greatest English poet of the Middle
Ages, wrote this great story The Canterbury tales . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Miller was a very big and strong man, that , stated in The Prologue to The Canterbury Tales,
Could win the ram at any wrestling show . He was Broad, Knotty , and

with his head.
The Millers beard was red, and very big and thick, and his nose had a wart on the end, with red hairs
protruding out of it. His nostrils were black and very wide. He wore a sword and a buckler at his side,
also the Miller wore a blue hood and a white coat. This is it for the physical traits of the
Miller, I think you know by now, that he was big, and he was strong. Now we ll talk about the Millers
personality.
The Millers personality was very distinct, It matched his physical traits almost exactly. the Miller was
very boastful in his ways, he would boast to people about how he could bust any door down and off
the hinges, or take a run and break it with his head, he was also a very greedy man,
He would steal from the poor, or the rich without even thinking twice. his thumb of gold was how he
did this, meaning, he pressed on the scale with his thumb to increase the weight of the grain that he
sold to his customers, or so they thought he was selling them. The Miller also had a filthy mouth, and
told tavern stories quite often. Also, he liked to play the bagpipes, in fact he was the

Ancient Greek History
I became very interested in Greek history after visiting the display of papyrology. The papyrology
collection at the graduate library at the University of Michigan displays some ancient artifacts of the
4th century and even older showing us what life would of been like in those times. In this exhibit there
was a wooden tablet with school exercises from Egypt used in the 4th century. The wooden tablet was
found in an unknown provenance of Egypt. This extraordinary tablet was used as a part of elementary
Greek school exercises. The tablet features the alphabet written out in regular and reverse order, on the
reverse side of the tablet it shows syllabary consisting of consonant/vowel combinations. This tablet

It looks like just an old piece of wood with some squiggles in it but it is much more important than
that. This old piece of wood dates back more than 1700 years old. The wood tablet was used in greek
schools for young egyptian children in the 4th century to help them learn the alphabet. These strange
looking lines and shapes engraved on the wood are an example of the alphabet use in Greek language
in the 4th century. It is very interesting to compare our english alphabet and even the current greek
alphabet to these engravings on the tablet. I am amazed that we are able to read what was written on
these tablets even though they are 1700 years old and a completely different language. These
discoveries shown in the exhibition are very valuable in showing how language has changed yet we
still use writing now to express our thoughts and learn other thoughts (SPO,

Lizzie Borden Guilty Essay
Lizzie Borden Murder trial
The borden house,Lizzie, her parents, the axe,Lizzie Borden is guilty. This is the story of a young
woman named Lizzie Borden who is accused of whether she murdered her parents or not.In this essay
I will give my evidence and reasoning on to why I think Lizzie is guilty. In today s perspective people
would argue that Lizzie is guilty, but back in the old times when the murder happened people would
have a stronger belief to that she is not guilty.I think that Lizzie Borden is guilty.
One vital reason why Lizzie Borden is guilty is because she burned her dress. In the article The trial of
Lizzie Borden:an accountant it states that Lizzie was caught by her sister Emma Borden burning the
dress that she wore on the day of the murder, when her sister asked what she was doing she replied
with I am going to burn this old thing up,it is covered with paint.Lizzie borden burning her dress that
she wore on the day of the murder makes her guilty in my opinion. This evidence suggests Lizzie s
guilt because she wore that same dress on the day of the murder. She simply could of threw it out or
put it away, there was point of burning it up because there were other reason to solve her problem.Due
to the fact of Lizzie burning the dress backs up her guilt. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ashes Of Ham The Muslin Brotherhood
The novel Ashes of Hama: The Muslin Brotherhood in Syria attempts to bridge the gap of knowledge
towards the Syrian Muslin Brotherhood through an objectively comprehensive examination of the
political, historical, and ideological evolution of the party. RaphaÍl Lefèvre attempts to rectify the lack
of concrete knowledge through accessing the memoirs of two former Syrian jihadists (Mutafa
Setmarian Nasar and Ayman al Shorbaj) and creates a clear narrative of the events in chronological

The novel is divided into four sections in order to closely examine the evolution of the Muslin
Brotherhood and their ideology. The first section, Politicizing Islam, focuses on the framework of
political Islam up to 1963 that allows for the development of the Syrian Muslin Brotherhood and their
early days. The second section entitled The Islamic Opposition to Ba athism, goes in depth into the
political, economic, and ideological subtleties fueling opposition between Islam and the Syrian Ba ath
party. The proceeding third segment, The rise of Jihadism in later 1970s Syria, examines the political
and ideological circumstances that gave ride to the jihadist trend in regards to the Brotherhood itself.
The fourth and final segmentation of the novel titled Ashes of Hama: The Syrian Islamist Movement
since 1982, will be devoted to the consequences of the exile of the Muslin Brotherhoods after the
Hama massacre, and how it then evolved to becomes the regimes most powerful political opponent.
The infamous Hama Massacre occurred in February 1982 in the Syrian city of Hama. The Syrian
government forcibly crushed an uprising of Muslin rebels largely consisting of members of the Muslin
Brotherhood. The hostilities had augmented throughout the 1960s and 1970s with the Muslin
Brotherhood harassing the regime with hit and run style guerilla tactics and assassinations. The 1982
massacre marked the position of the Muslin Brotherhood when they stood their ground against the

Government Of Guatemala Research Paper
The Government of Guatemala
Guatemala has a government just like ours. A constitutional democracy is where there is a head of the
country, the president, who will work with the three branches of government the Judicial branch the
branch who carries out the laws. The Legislative branch makes the laws, and the Executive branch
enforces the laws. When the legislative branch passes a bill it has to pass through the house and senate
and then goes to the president who makes it into a law or he can veto it so it doesn t become a law.
Just like our government the president is in control of the army so he enforces the laws. If someone

that making notes on files and sharing within a large group easily. Also, the paper based system will

Rough Draft Of A Personal Essay Example
Farm kid, sister, and coffee lover are a couple of things that describe me. However, those are not the
things that define me. I believe there are two adjectives that define me: hard working and passionate.
Hard work and passion influence almost everything that I do in life. I also contribute the small
successes that I have had to being hard working and passionate. Hard work and passion are two things
that were fostered on my family s farm. Growing up, each day I would hop in my grandpa s old, red
Chevy and ride down to the farm to spend the day with him. We fed the animals, scouted crops, and
did other miscellaneous jobs. Working on the farm all day with my grandpa built my strong work
ethic. And as for passion, my passion for the agricultural industry grew deeper each day that I spent at
the farm. The experiences on my family s farm shaped who I am. Not only did it build my work ethic
and foster my passion for agriculture but, it also defined my values, developed valuable skills, and

livestock and other various projects. Through those projects I learned that the agricultural industry has
such a large impact on the daily lives of people, and I too wanted to be part of that impact.
Participating in FFA throughout high school gave me the opportunity to compete in many Career
Development Events, attend leadership conferences, camps, and conventions, and volunteer for
service projects. FFA again made me realize that I had a future in the agricultural industry and that I

Elizabethan Poetry Essay
It was during the Elizabethan age that England felt the complete effect of the Renaissance. There
occurred a revival of the old and classical literature of Greece and Rome and this was manifested in
the poetry of the age. The Elizabethan age was characterized by an extreme spirit of adventure,
aestheticism and materialism which became the characteristic features of Elizabethan poetry. Many
poets displayed their skill in versification during this time and England came to be called The Nest Of
Singing Birds.
Wyatt and Surrey

Spenser also wrote the famous wedding hymns Prothalmion and Epithalmion. The Faerie Queene is
the masterpiece of Spenser. He modeled it on Ariosto s Orlando Furioso. It contains six books each of
which describes the adventure and triumph of a knight who represents a moral virtue. It is a didactic
romance. For this he invented a poetic form known as Spenserian stanza. Spenser s idealism, his love
of beauty and his exquisite melody has earned him the name The Poets Poet.
Shakespeare
He was the most famous dramatic poet of Elizabethan age. His non dramatic poetry consists of two
narrative poems Venus and Adonis and The Rape of Lucrece and a sequence of 154 sonnets.
Shakespeare was not only a great dramatist, but also as a great poet who with the use of his melodious
words and sheer imagination have made an everlasting name in literature.
Sir Philip Sidney
The spirit of Elizabethan England was greatly manifested in the life and literature of this eminent
courtier of Elizabeth. Sir Philip Sidney. His Greatest work is Astrophel and Stella, a series of sonnets
on the various facets of love. The bitter sorrow for his lost happiness, the unconquerable longing to
possess his love, the despair into which he was flung, the struggle between honour and passion all is
intensely portrayed in Astrophel and Stella.

The Scopes Monkey Trial
In the United States, the early 1920s was a time of shifting and conflicting moral values due to people
attempting to see which values would dominate the nation s culture. One conflict was between science
and religion; ever since science began to explain what once was unexplainable, it clashed with
religion. Thus, in 1925, the Scopes Monkey Trial revealed the struggle of America s culture between
the forces of Traditionalism and Modernism. The mixture of religion and science caused one of the
most famous debates in American history to occur because ideas were the main focus instead of an
actual crime. The Scopes Trial opened the doors to the conflict between faith and science that made it
the trial of the century.
Dayton is a small beautiful Southern town in Tennessee with only a few thousand inhabitants.
However, in 1925, Dayton was on the front pages of newspapers all over the United States. Thousands
of Americans were arriving to watch the spectacle that happened in this town. Mencken, one of the
reporters that came to see the trial unfold, stated that the Scopes Trial was an extraordinary
opportunity to put the small town of Dayton on the map (Scopes Trial, Mencken s Trial Account, July
9, p. 1). Not only that, the trial brought Clarence Darrow, the nation s greatest defense attorney, and
William Jennings Bryan, the nation s greatest political orator and three time presidential candidate,
into the trial. Due to these factors, New York Times called it the most

The Philosophy Of Classroom Management
Theoretical Introduction  Philosophy of Classroom Management When I think of my future
classroom, I imagine it to a home. I plan for my students and I to be a big family , and it will still be a
learning environment. While I am teaching a lesson I would like for my students to be quite when they
should be listening and participating when it is time for them to participate. I am there to guide their
learning, the students will be allowed to share, correct, and exchange information when the time is
appropriate. I will have the traditional teaching style which is the students paying attention to the
teacher, then once the students seem to understand the content they will then be able to move around
and interact with other student in either group discussions or at the learning centers throughout the
classroom. My classroom will be nice and bright to keep up the positive energy, and it will still be
conducted as a learning environment for my students, and they will understand that everything that
they learn in my classroom will travel with them till they are old, and they will be able to understand
why they are in school and what their purpose is in life.  Assumptions about the Nature of Young
People and Learning Every young person wants to satisfy their basic needs which usually tends to be
power, love, freedom and fun. They always want to be in control of their selves and the area around
them. Children will misbehave when they feel like the area is too strict around them,

Accountants play an important role in the world of business. The article, The Future of the Accounting

challenges that accountants face. With over ten years of experience working in the areas of finance

that were discussed in the article. This includes topics such as technological advancements, the merits
of networking mentorship, the value of obtaining a CPA designation, accountancy education, and work

previous position as Director of Finance Administration at Disability Rights International (DRI), I
have traveled to many countries and conducted several international financial trainings and workshops
to encourage education, transparency, and self sustainability to local partners and field offices. I have

A True War Story In Tim OBrien s The Things They Carried
Only the dead have seen the end of war unknown. In Tim O Brien s The Things They Carried, he tells
us what a true war story is. Throughout chapter 7, he writes what he believes is a true war story. It s
through evil, disbelief, embarrassment, and hidden meanings in Mary Anne s trip to Vietnam that we
know what a true war story is. The Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong is a perfect example of a true war
story. In a war, nothing ever hangs onto the good; it always grabs on to the evil.
Rat Kiley said, At the girl s throat was a necklace of human tongues. Elongated and narrow, like
pieces of blackened leather, the tongues were threaded along a length of copper wire, one tongue
overlapping the next, the tips curled upward as if caught in a final shrill syllable (105 106).
A young girl with a tongue necklace isn t the thing someone would expect to see from her. It s obscene
behavior for a girl, especially in this time period. Many people eat animal tongues; it isn t seen as
weird behavior, but Mary Anne wears them. The aspect of the human tongues makes it wicked and
vile. O Brien wrote, And then one morning, all alone, Mary Anne walked off into the mountains and
did not come back. No body was ever found (110). Mary Anne became one with Vietnam during the
time she was there. Eventually she blended in with the landscape and felt at home with it. Not often do
people hear stories of others just disappearing. It s insane to willingly walk out to the mountains in a

The Effect Of Tyson Foods And Other Meat Factories On...
In this article Nicholas Kristof, is talking about on how Tyson Foods and other meat factories are
harming human health and creating tons of waste around the country. He argues on how companies do
not care about the effect of animal growth since speeding up the process for the animals can affect
human health. He also states that the farmers struggle to make a living. He states that chicken back
then was a luxury dish more expensive than beef. Chicken used to cost $6.48 a pound and now it is
worth $1.57 a pound, cheaper than before, and that is because the production has increased and so
there s much more chicken available. According to Kristof, the cost went down because scientific
breeding reduced the length of time needed to raise a chicken

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Mobile Learning
With the use of technology, teaching and learning took a big leap and is changing its paradigms, from
a closed model, and teacher centered classroom to a model more open and student centered, where the
teacher moves from one holder of knowledge for a learning mentor, able to manage diverse discourses
and practices as well as stimulate the intellectual capacities of students in the treatment of information
available. In network there is much valuable information, but there are also many errors and
controversies instead of teaching may confuse the students. So, they generally have access to
information, but do not always know to do with it. Nowadays, several tools can promote knowledge

Mobile technology is changing the way we live and it is beginning to change the way we learn.
Mobile Learning (m learning) is a revolution in e Learning. Mobile learning involves the use of
mobile technology, either alone or in combination with other information and communication
technology (ICT), to enable learning anytime and anywhere. Learning can expand in different ways
people can use mobile devices to access educational article, connect with friends and others, both
inside and outside classrooms. Mobile learning also encompasses efforts to support broad educational
goals such as the effective administration of higher education systems and improved communication
between schools and families. M Learning is convenient in that it is accessible from virtually
anywhere. Sharing is almost instantaneous among everyone using the same content, which leads to the
reception of instant feedback and tips. This highly active process has proven to increase examination
scores from the fiftieth to the seventieth percentile, and cut the dropout rate in technical fields by 22%
(Saylor, Michael 2012).[1] M learning also brings strong portability by replacing books and notes with
small devices, filled with tailored learning

The Scenario Of Sericulture
Scenario of sericulture industry in Maharashtra State, India
Hiware Chandrashekhar Jalba
Abstract
Sericulture is one of the oldest industries in India and Asia. Sericulture is an agro cottage, forest based
industry, labor intensive and commercially attractive economic activity falling under the cottage and
small scale sector. The silk is the final product of this industry. It particularly suits to rural population
working with agriculture, entrepreneurs and artisans as it requires low investment with potential for
relatively higher returns. It provides income and employment to the rural poor especially, farmers with
small land holding and marginalized and weaker sections of the society.
Maharashtra is a nontraditional sericulture state producing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The bivoltine sericulture development has been one of the priority sectors of Indian silk industry but
its production is yet to meet the targets. Women play a dominant role in this sector, as the activities are
mostly home based. Women have been contributing to all the sectors of Sericulture starting from on
farm activities to fabric production, marketing and consumption. The involvement of women in
different activities of Sericulture is well above 53 per cent
Gangopadhyay, 2008 [1].
This paper mainly focused on socio economic development, employment generation, and sericulture
sector activities in the state. Sericulture industry requires low investment and it helps to earn higher
returns in short gestation period, due to this the farmers are getting attracted to this sector and it is a
best tool to improve the rural economy as well as to improve their living standards. It is a boon to the
rural population associated with agriculture and helping them to avoid suicidal attempts by earning
very good amounts throughout the year.

I m Finally Out Of That Goddam Place
I m finally out of that goddam place. The dumb psychoanalyst guy kept asking me the same questions

to Hollywood to visit my brother D.B, I could go home to phoebe, or I could also go to central park
and see if the ducks are still there. Making the decision made me feel depressed.
Boy, I really missed those ducks; I still don t know where they go in the winter. It interests me. It
really does.
Anyway, I decided to give my brother D.B a buzz. It s been a long time since we ve talked. With all of
the movie star stuff, I guess he doesn t have time to spend with us. He finally answered the phone after
I d rang about a million goddam times.
Yeah he said. That killed me; he answered the phone like he was a hotshot. It was like he was busy
and didn t want to talk to anyone.
Hey D.B it s me, Holden .
Oh... Hey what s up? . He said that like he was expecting someone else.
Nothing really, just wanted to know if you could come and have a goddam drink with me.
Sorry Holden, I ll probably be busy for another week or two, I don t really have time he said. Of
course he was busy. Ever since he s gone to Hollywood, he acts like he can t even be seen with us.
That prostitute has a really busy schedule.
It s ok, maybe next time, bye .

Geological and Dispositional History of the Starved Rocks,...
Geological and Dispositional History of the Starved Rocks, Illinois Describe the clastic and carbonate
facies you have discovered. Starved Rock State covers about 200 miles and some 470 million years,
from Ordovician sandstones to Pleistocene glacial till. The Ordovician St. Peter Formation sandstone
was deposited across the midcontinent during the second major marine transgression of the Paleozoic
Era. The first transgression deposited Upper Cambrian to Lower Ordovician clastics and carbonates.
The clastic to carbonate rock transition is consistent with gradual sea level rise over the North
American craton. Sea level dropped late in the early Ordovician, exposing the carbonate strata to
processes of cave development. The St. Peter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Radiotelephony History
Today we refer to our phones as cellphones or mobile phones. However, that was not the case when
they first came about. The term radiotelephony was used to describe what we now call our cell
phones. Early radiotelephony, early dating back to the 1940 s, services was available for a very small
amount of people. The very first mobile phones were better known as radiotelephones and were first
used in the early part of the last century. Radiotelephones were originally used for ship to shore or ship
to ship communications. Inventor and entrepreneur Guglielmo Marconi, is credited with developing
the first successful wireless telegraph. Even though Marconi, is credited for developing the first

He is also credited with being the first person to make a call from a handheld cell phone. Mr. Cooper s
invention was later improved and marketed by Motorola. The handheld cellphone was called the
DynaTAC 8000x. The phone weighed over two pounds, had 35 minutes of talk time, with eight hours
of standby. It also had a recharging cycle of ten hours. The DynaTAC 8000x is known to everyone as
the original brick phone. The phone could only store up to 30 numbers and retailed for about $4,000.
Even though the first cellphone had been developed and patented, no city wide commercial analogue
cellular service had been established. In May of 1973, the Baharain Telephone Company is assumed to
have established the first city wide commercial analogue cellular system. This cellular system only
had two working cells and was restricted to twenty channels. The cellular system was supporting 250
subscribers in spite of its small system. Not falling far behind was Japan who was next in line. Japan
followed with the operator Nippon Telephone and Telegraph. With this they presented the first
generation cellular service into Tokyo in 1979. In 1981, just shortly after Japan, cellular service
became available in Northern Europe. The Nordic Mobile Telephone Service went into act across the
Nordic countries of northeastern Europe. Those Nordic countries include: Sweden, Denmark, Norway,
Finland and a few related islands and territories such as Greenland. In 1985, Western Europe

My next offensive argument is that the Catholic Church creates a space of hypocrisy by publicizing
one theme of morality but practicing whatever they like through alteration or blatant ignoring of
religious tradition within the clerical order with the intent on making money instead of upholding
doctrine. This hypocrisy extends to religious vows that were blatantly ignored by the clergy in the
past, and do so now with more secrecy. It is Cannon Law that competent authority of the Church must
take vows of the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, obedience, and charity (Catholic
Canonists). Meanwhile, in the past as seen by the previously mentioned criticisms of Pope Alexander
VI s use of great wealth to help seize the papacy and the modern Bishop of Bling shows that both the
vows of poverty and obedience to those vows are explicitly ignored by those who are supposed to
enforce them. As far as chastity goes, Pope Alexander IV had four, possibly more, very public children
with a mistress that he was able to legitimize and use for his own political ventures, as well as two
other mistresses he had while serving as pope, blatantly ignoring the vow of chastity (Murphy). In
more recent days the Catholic Church sex scandal of pedophilic priests and Cardinals shows not only
an air of disobedience and sexual immorality, but that the insubordination of the clergy hasn t stopped
since the more primitive days but has

How Token Economies Increase The Latency Of A Gifted Child...
Token economies have been used successfully to reduce the latency of responding to instructions;
Buisson, Murdock, Reynolds and Cronin (1995) used a token economy to decrease the response
latency for completing headings within a set time limit in hearing impaired children and Fjellstedt and
Sulzer AzĂĄroff (1973) used a token system to reduce latency of a student who did not follow directions
in a given time limit. The children received tokens, which were paired to back up reinforcers
contingent upon them being compliant and following directions within the time limit set. In this study
the aim is to use procedures similar to these two studies using a token economy to reduce the response
latency in compliance of a gifted child getting off their computer from the get off time that they have
been given, to when they actually shut down and gets off the computer for the day. The target
behaviour is the child not complying with the family rules that state a set time to get off and stay off
the computer and iPad each day. The operational definition of getting off the computer/iPad in this
case is, the computer and iPad are shutdown completely and the child has removed himself from the
computer desk and reported in person to his parents, and does not go back on his computer or iPad for
the rest of the night.

The Family Medical Leave Act The Family Medical Leave Act was passed in 1993 and updated in

Steroids In Sports Analysis
Issues Analysis Anabolic Steroids in Sport
Anabolic steroids are quiet a big problem in the fitness industry, these drugs are a quick unsafe way to
achieve lean muscle mass. They are used in many competitive sports such as football, baseball and
Olympic type events it s of course prohibited and players are tested but it s not difficult for athletes to
avoid detection. One of the most controversial sports that anabolic steroids is involved with is
bodybuilding, the reason happens to be because of the drug testing policies which allow athletes to
build there muscle with the drug then a couple weeks before the competition the athletes cycle off so
that test results show that there clean. I think the reason that athletes are so obliged to take these
performance enhancing drugs might be peer pressure from coaches, parents, fellow athletes and even
family, for some people it s the idea of winning that drives them into taking these drugs.
One of the main reasons that this drug is prohibited along with being an effective performance
enhancer is its health risks. Athletes abusing this substance suffer from headaches, constant vomiting,
increased chance of physical injury, sleeping problems, high cholesterol and many other heart and
blood related conditions. Some people think the answer to these conditions is to cycle ... Show more

Uniform In School Uniform
Uniforms, gateway or a straitjacket?
Do school uniforms really improve school systems or are they a way to control student s
individuality? School uniforms are becoming common in many school systems around the nation.
There are many different feelings about uniforms from parents, students, and faculty. The debate about
whether uniforms should or should not be worn in schools has been going on for years. The arguments
for uniforms vary in different ways like that uniforms help students focus, help saves time, stops
bullying, helps with trespassers, and overall at the end of the year can cost less. Just like the arguments
for uniforms, there are many against them. One main argument against uniforms would be that it
causes students to lose their individuality or it can cause segregation between boys and girls. This
paper will argue against all the opposing views of uniforms, and explain why they are important and
necessary to have in schools. That to improve our school systems we need uniforms to help prevent
distractions. Uniforms have been apart of many cultures for years and it has shown to help students.
Uniforms have been worn by kids since 1552. Uniforms were worn by kids from England or from
private schools, then public schools for centuries. The United States had kids wearing uniforms, but
not many from public schools. In 1996, the US Department of Education found that only 3% of public

Extraction And Visualisation Of The Kiwi Fruit And...
Title: Extraction and Visualisation of the Kiwi Fruit and Strawberry Fruit DNA
Introduction: All organisms have DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) in the nuclei of their cells. The aim of
this experiment is to extract this DNA using common household detergent to breakdown the cellular
membrane then through the use of ethanol to extract the DNA from the Kiwi and Strawberry fruit.
After the DNA has been extracted the DNA will be visualised by agarose gel electrophoresis which is
done by adding a dye to the extracted DNA then being placed in the gel, once the negatively charged
DNA has been placed in the gel it will slowly move towards the positively charged end (anode) then is
viewed under an ultraviolet light then compared to the control of known lengths of DNA to show the
size of the unknown DNA samples.
Materials Methods: The requirements for this practical are a small sample of diced kiwi fruit,
detergent, zip lock bag, 1 10mL auto pipette, chux cloth, water, funnel, conical flask, 15mL test tube,
ice (in esky), texter, ethanol, small plastic hook, 1.5mL eppendorf tube, micro centrifuge, paper towel,
10 200uL auto pipette, distilled water, heat block capable of reaching 55⁰C, agarose gel, intact plasmid
(pBluescript), salt, linearized plasmid (cut once), linearized plasmid (cut twice) cut with restriction
enzymes, tips for both 10 200uL and the 1 10mL auto pipettes, safety glasses, an ultra violet light and

Bizzozero Staining Procedure
An experiment Evaluating whether PCNA supports the classification of Bizzozero (1894) tissues
tissues placed in three categories, reflecting their replicative potential.
Introduction
The aim of this experiment was to utilise PCNA and staining procedures to determine whether
different tissue cell samples proliferate. Tissue which exhibited brown stains prove cell proliferation
and mitotic divisions, this would suggest it being the in the first group of Bizzozero s grouping of
tissue types. Tissue samples which showed no brown staining meant no cells had proliferated and
therefore were of a different tissue type that do not regenerate while present in the body. The PCNA
protein is present during cell division/mitosis therefore, its presence suggests that cell proliferation is
occurring or has occurred. An area can be stained using brown diaminobenzidine (DAB) by using an
antibody that is against the PCNA protein. A primary antibody then attaches to the PCNA molecule,
and a secondary antibody (horse radish peroxidase) attaches to the primary antibody. A ... Show more

mere sight of them. In late 1966 early 1967, the original line up disbanded and a new version was
formed under the name Eric Burdon the Animals. Though the band didn t last more than a decade in
any form, their music lived on as some of the most important and influential recordings ever. In 1994,
The Animals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Read on to learn more about the

Despite the fact that they had ten Top 20 singles, The Animals only had one number one. The band s
arrangement of House of the Rising Sun made the song synonymous with the group, even though it
had been recorded by artists both before and after them.
Number Fourteen: They Were Featured in a Movie. When The Animals first came over to the United
States in the mid 1960s, the band was cast in a B film called Get Yourself a College Girl, starring
Mary Ann Mobley, Chad Everett and Nancy Sinatra. The band played themselves, performing the
songs Blue Feeling and Around and Around. Also a featured performer in the film: The Dave Clark
Five.
Number Thirteen: Their Manager Was Kidnapped by Yakuza. During the band s second incarnation,
Eric Burdon the Animals played a tour in Japan. The promotors of the tour, who were secretly
members of the Yakuza, were not happy that the tour was delayed two months, and kidnapped the
band s manager a couple of days into the tour. They made him write an IOU for $25,000 to offset fees
incurred because of the lateness of the tour. Once their manager obliged and the Yakuza set him free,
the band was told to either leave Japan or be killed.

Marko Aleksandrovich Ramius, a Soviet submarine captain. Other characters in the book are

To make sure no one interferes with his decision to defect, Ramius kills the political officer onboard.
The Soviet Union found out that Ramius is going to defect, so they sent anything they had to destroy
the Red October, but they had trouble tracking it because it was nearly undetectable by Soviet
technology. At the same time, Jack Ryan was sent from London to the U.S. to deliver pictures of a new
Soviet submarine. After showing the pictures to the Deputy
Director of intelligence, Ryan goes to his friend Skip Tyler to try to figure out what type of submarine
it is. Tyler noticed it is a new type of Soviet sub with a stealth drive. A few days later, the U.S.S.
Dallas was near the coast of Iceland when Seaman Jones noticed a strange noise. He recorded it and
played it over and over again. Others onboard of the
U.S.S Dallas listened to the noise. They decided to follow the noise.
One man noticed a lot of Soviet boats were in the Atlantic Ocean and were heading for America.
The White House and Pentagon were notified and they feared Russia might be getting ready to attack.
Two days later, the U.S.S. Dallas and another submarine caught up with the noise

was filled with a large amount of it. Jerry had a passion for football not for the money. He liked the
plays, the game, the sheers, and the joys. Not many players loved being in the game just to be in the
game. Jerry Rice was a special kind of receiver he is the type that wants to be able to catch it and

The Waking By Theodore Roethke Summary
People often draw meaning from poetry that in some way allows for a personal connection
strengthening the bond the writer hopes to make. The message that the flower of life s beauty can only
be witnessed for a brief moment, makes the individual value that time even more. Theodore Roethke s
conscious use of rhythmic repetition frames The Waking while emphasizing his view: people are not
living life to the fullest. The definition of how to truly live has, as proposed by Roethke, eluded the
people of the world. With this crisis he wastes no time in confronting his audience with his truth. In
the very first line of the poem he hits us with his first repeated phrase I wake to sleep, and take my
waking slow. (Roethke 826) He starts the poem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like in a building these lines are used as large supports that hold up the poem and are the focus of
each stanza. Line one repeats at the end of stanzas two and four while line three is repeated at the end
of stanzas three and five. Interestingly the lines are always placed at the end of the stanza which not
only creates rhythm, but also shows that the entire poem boils down to those two main lines. In stanza
two Roethke builds on line one by showing natural instinct. He includes the instinctual desire to feel
what we cannot see, and to hear which the body often uses to wake up. (Roethke 826) This
strengthens the first line and adds to the poem by emphasizing that living half asleep limits a person,
and robs them of certain things which otherwise might have been experienced. He continues this
pattern of strengthening in stanza three as he now adds more tow line three. By asking a question at
the beginning Roethke emphasizes his own imperceptibility which connects to the fact that he must
learn of those around him through limited senses. (Roethke 826) When he introduces the notion of
god, once again the notion of hope arises while he must still tread softly as not to make a

The Internet And Other Communications Technologies
Introduction
The internet and other communications technologies are promoting progress in almost every attribute
of society and all over the world. For instance, supporting trade, bettering education and health care,
fostering participating in democracy in the United States and abroad, and enabling communications
among family and friends, whether in the neighborhood or around the globe. Regrettably, may of the
qualities of this technology, low cost, ease of use, and anonymous nature, among others, make it an
appealing medium for fraudulent scams, child sexual exploitation, and increasingly, a new concern
referred as cyberstalking.
Cyber Exploitation and Laws
Cyber exploitation is the non consensual spreading and publication of intimate photos or videos. The
materials are usually stolen by ex lovers, ex spouses, associates, or total strangers through hacking,
theft of a cell phone or computer, mostly when a computer is being repaired, a false personal ad, or
other means (Fritsch et al, 2015). The stolen photos or videos are then posted on websites or sold for
profit to embarrass, harm, harass, physically endanger, or extort the victim. Also, the perpetrators
usually post other identifying information with the videos and images, including the victim s name,
relations to social media accounts, email addresses, physical addresses of their place of employment
and residence, phone numbers, and even social security information.
In California, it is illegal for any person

Use of Symbolism in Golding s Lord of the Flies
Lord of the Flies, a suggestive name for the Devil, a devil whose name proposes that he is devoted to
decay, destruction, demoralization and panic, exactly what William Golding had in mind when using
symbolism in this novel. The Lord of the Flies (1954), is a novel in which interpretating the symbols
are a main key to not only understanding, but also enjoying the novel. After tying many of the
symbols together, you can figure out more about what the author is trying to depict, the overall scene.
This story takes place during World War II on a deserted island. After a plane, transporting about a

He is eventually chosen as leader on account of his many positive qualities. He maintains a conflict
with Jack throughout the entire novel, trying to keep order while Jack isn t as dedicated to it. The next
person you meet in the story is a short fat boy, who wears spectacles. He is the most intellectual boy
on the island, but since he has no social skills, he is usually in the background trying to maintain the
peace. Together Ralph and Piggy represent the struggle for order and democracy.
The next thing that shows up in the story that has very importance as a symbol is the conch. Piggy and
Ralph were walking around the island looking for others, when they see a pink shell shimmering in
the water. Piggy recalled the shell as one he had seen used as an instrument. Upon seeing this, he
picked it up, handed it to Ralph, the leader figure, and told him to blow. As he did this a noise was
produced so that it carried itself across the island, drawing all the other boys to it s sound. This use of
the conch is the first to demonstrate it s symbolism as authority.
The conch, throughout the whole story, is used to achieve order, and a symbol of authority for whom
ever has possession of it, I ll give the conch to the next person to speak. He can hold it when he s
speaking And he won t be interrupted (33). While they were all getting along and all working toward

Dust Bowl Dbq
The 1930s were seasons of extensive hardship on the Great Plains. Settlers managed with the Great
Depression, as well as with years of droughts that dove an already suffering society into an attack of
tireless dust storms that lasted for months. The Dust bowl conveyed an enormous agrarian and
monetary hit to the Great Plains and destroyed what was left of the United States Economy during the
Great Depression. It continued for a decade, 1930 to 1939, and wrecked ranches and lives all over
Texas, Oklahoma panhandles, Colorado, parts of New Mexico, Canada, and Kansas. Monstrous dust
storms wrecked pretty much everything from harvests, overwhelming ranches, in such a way it
crushed the income and careers of thousands of farmers. In 1930, climate ... Show more content on

inhabitants had moved outside to exploit the wonderful climate. In under 10 minutes, the temperature
dropped and the winged creatures became quiet. Winds kicked up to more than 60 miles for each hour
and perceivability dropped to zero. That evening, a monstrous cloud cleared over the Great Plains. It
was 1000 miles in length and exploded at velocities to 100 miles for every hour. It was made of

Bob Marley, By Robert Nesta Marley
Robert Nesta Marley, commonly known as Bob Marley , was born on February 6, 1945 in St. Ann s,
Jamaica. Marley was son of a white man named Norval Marley and black lady named Cedilla Marley
Boker. Due to Marley being mixed he was always rejected growing up (MacDonald). Many people
disliked him due to his rastafarian ways of life. Bob Marley has differing views, society s naive
perception that all he does is smoke marijuana and what is really true he was an inspirational musician
that wanted to unite the world. As commonly known Bob Marley was a rastafarian, being a rastafarian
and having dread locks meant that one voweled not to brush or cut their hair. Bob Marley took his
dreadlocks as his identity. Also being a rastafarian meant living a certain way, the way one ate, treated
other people, and smoking marijuana was part of their religion not just to get high. In the Marley
Documentary, Bob Marley says Christ promised to mankind that him will return within 2000 years
and when him return him will be the king of kings through the lineage of king Solomon and king
David now we look there to see who is this one man , Haile Selassie I stating that they believed the
Emperor of Ethiopia was Christ returning. Rastafari was also taken from his name, he was called Ras
Tafari (MacDonald). Bob Marley s music career started off with the Wailing Wailers (Bob Marley
Biography). As the group was becoming popular they began to struggle financially, which caused the
group to fade away.

Csi vs. Ncis
The main difference of the two TV shows, CSI and NCIS, is that CSI consists murders of the general
public and NCIS consists of only military based murders. Both TV shows are unrealistic compared to
the real world. CSI shows how dangerous the job can be by agents getting killed in a crime scene,
which also shows how it can affects the investigations. NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation Service),
on the other hand, is a real government agency that only focuses on crimes that involve the military
and the show NCIS is deals with many of the same cases as the real life agency. In my opinion, the
more realistic show between CSI and NCIS would be NCIS. The show CSI is unrealistic to the real
world because the crime scenes are really convenient, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At a crime scene, you must first, identify and secure the scene and also check the life of any victims
found at the scene. Second, preserve the evidence by taping the perimeter of the scene and using
guards to restrict the scene to authorized personnel only and also they must establish the entrance and
exit paths, effects of the weather, and isolate witnesses and possible suspects. Third, the first one to the
crime scene must observe the scene by walking through. Fourth, the scene must be released to higher
personnel to investigate the crime. Fifth, they must record the scene by taking pictures, sketching, or
taking very detailed notes. Sixth, the evidence found must be marked and must have a picture taken of
it. While watching NCIS, I felt the actors really get into their characters. For example, Abby, the
forensic scientist, is really good at what she does and almost seems as though she s an actual forensic
scientist in real life. While watching CSI, I felt that the actors were just acting and it made it hard to
compare it to real life, other than the fact that it does show some dangers that come with becoming a

everyone with dignity and respect. The main character of the book is Victor Frankenstein who is a

horrified to find that what he has created is a monster. The monster is the ugliest, most disgusting

He tells of the void he feels in his soul. He tells of the bitter grief one experiences after the death of
loved one and what it feels like to no longer see them and hear their voice. Mary Shelley illustrates
that this life is not the end, but there is another life where loved ones will be seen. Victor s mother is
demonstrating how special Elizabeth is to her and that she wants her to take care of the family and to
someday marry Victor. Later in the novel, Victor leaves for school. Victor s father tells him, I know
that while you are pleased with yourself, you will think of us with affection, and we shall hear
regularly from you. You must pardon me if I regard any interruption in your correspondence as a proof
that your other duties are equally neglected (33). After, Victor leaves for school to begin his studies he
becomes self absorbed in his work. Family is very important to Victor s father. Victor realizes that he
has become too involved in his studies and knows that it is unhealthy to behave in such a way.
However, he does not want to quit and begins to justify his actions. He suggests that if others had
given up, then history could have been altered. Victor feels isolated and lonely. He thinks of his family
and how disappointed they are that they have not heard from him. Shelly uses this quote to emphasize
the importance of human relationships and how important they are to a person s well being. The theme

The Atomic Bomb Of Hiroshima And Nagasaki
The Atomic Bomb
After World War I, no one, not even the Head of Chemical Warfare, suspected such a weapon would
be dropped on civilians in the near future. Prior to the development of the atomic bomb in World War
II, gas bombing and incendiary bombing were prevalent (Rotter 5). The race to create nuclear
weapons and the excitement of succeeding technologically is thought to have distorted the morality of
those who decided to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These atomic bombings are plausibly the first
and last of their kind, as increasing nuclear programs in countries worldwide promise mutually
assured destruction to countries associated in such an ordeal. In the future, all countries involved in a
war will need to tread carefully, as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ironically, approximately twenty years later, the United States of America was blamed for doing just
that. Arguably, the entire Atomic Bomb situation began on August 2, 1939, when President Franklin
D. Roosevelt received a letter revealing by purifying uranium 235 one had the potential to create a
bomb. It also revealed the efforts in Nazi Germany to create a bomb (Bellis 1). In response to this
letter, a secret government project called the Manhattan Project , began (Bellis 1).
The Manhattan Project was top secret at the time, and served the purpose of creating and testing an
atomic bomb(Bellis 1). Between 1939 and 1945 over two billion dollars were given to the Manhattan
Project (Bellis 1). The scientists burdened with inventing such a bomb mostly originated from the
University of Chicago (Bellis 1). To create an atomic bomb, a specific amount of enriched uranium
must be used, to create a chain reaction (Bellis 1). The group of scientists, headed by Enrico Fermi
and J. Robert Oppenheimer, created a pile of forty five metric tons of natural uranium embedded in
solid graphite (Bellis 1). Although the reaction was slowed because the uranium 235 was not
extracted, it was considered successful (Bellis 1). The next step was to extract the uranium 235, and
create a real bomb (Bellis 1). The way to go about this creation was difficult. The ratio of uranium to
uranium ore is five hundred to one. The one part in that ratio is ninety nine

Known for her Buddhist Art Exhibit on permanent display in the National Gallery of Ireland, and for her outreach exhibits across Europe which have broadened international relations between Western and Eastern nations. His skin is stained black while his robe and pointed headpiece are silver. He has traditional long lobes, closed eyes, a smiling face, and has beauty mark on his forehead a bindi. The wood has been kept safe and there are no visible signs of erosion after a hundred years. As is the Maritime Painting of the Indian Ocean entitled A Sea of Starlight (2016 CE). The painting is mostly black with the whitecaps of waves caused by the light of a low hanging moon.. The longer the viewer observes the painting they more they will be able to identify. The stars appear the closer you are to the painting and even the horizon defined dimly with deep shades of blue that fades into black. The only recognizable constellation is Orion, whose bow points to a city whose lights are so faint most never see it. This would be on the central wall across from the entrance. This wall would have the intro text in large letters to the left of painting. The tag would say: Painted in the winter break of Dr. Mishra s return from her first visit to India during her Fall Semester of 2016 her Junior year. She attended Graduate classes at the University of Hyderabad in Telangana, India. The painting is of her memory of a night spent on the western coastline in Varkala. Her ... • 4. Gender Challenges Within The Business Of Sports Abstract Gender challenges in sports have been around for centuries. Male and female genders are treated differently in more than one way. The research I have gathered show the differences in all aspects of sports related business areas such as, ticket sales, facilities, price of tickets, media coverage, Sports Illustrated covers, and sports reporters. The purpose of this research is to bring attention the disparities that women follow in the business of sports. Women are stereotyped, discriminated against, and harassed in all aspects I have discussed. So my final thoughts on my research are that women will always be acknowledged for their beauty, body, and sex appeal. A woman s knowledge of sports, athleticism, and love for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The purpose of this research is to bring attention to the lack of women s sports coverage in the media and show how male sports have taken priority over women s sports. Gender Challenges in Ticket Sales In 1994 the ticket prices for 308 different universities within the NCAA division 1 men s and women s basketball teams were validated in a study. The study shows that men s prices started out higher than the price of women s basketball tickets. From 1994 to 1997 both men s and women s ticket prices increased a quarter. (p. 229) by 1997 men s basketball tickets totaled to be $9.75 and women s tickets were $4.75. (p. 230) Analysis shows that the increase in men s tickets compared to women s is shown through the evaluation of each athletic program.(p. 234) For example, the University of Tennessee women s basketball program is stronger than the men s basketball program therefore ticket sells for the UT women s basketball is going to be a higher margin than the men. The University of Kentucky men s basketball program is stronger than the women s so the big blue fan base would be paying a higher price to watch the wildcats play at Rupp Arena than the lady cats playing Memorial Coliseum. The discrepancy in gender shows that the ticket prices for men tend to be higher than women. From the study in the early 90 s to now the ticket pricing has shown more equity in both genders athletic events. Discrimination in Olympics News Coverage The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Legacy Of Jackson Pollock One cannot hear the name, Jackson Pollock without instantly thinking of the words abstract, radical, and expressionist. His legacy that he left behind is one to admire, with his skills of detaching line from color, refining categories of drawing and painting, and finding new means to describe pictorial space. (Jackson Pollock and His Paintings) Jackson Pollock s life began in Cody, Wyoming in 1912. His father, Leroy was a farmer and later in life became a surveyor for the government. Because of his father s job as a government surveyor, Pollock was able to travel to many places with his father, even experiencing some Native American culture with which he attributes some of his art pieces to. When Pollock got older he enrolled himself at the Students League in New York in 1929. He studied here under the hands of regionalist painter, Thomas Benton. During this time, Pollock created mostly realist modern American art with influences coming from Mexican muralist painters and surrealist. It was not until 1939, while visiting The Museum of Modern Art in New York City that Pollock changed his art style. Within this museum was an exhibit called, Picasso: 40 Years of His Art that had over 300 works of art in addition to his anti war morals. This led Pollock to the realization and admiration of the power of European modernism. This realization created his new style of semi abstract totemic works. When WWII ended, its aftermath fueled the style of radical, abstract expressionism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Critique Of The Book Of Eli DBA Student : Romeo B. Leneses Jr. Astrological Sign: PISCES Subject: Philosophy of Business Professor: Dr. Carlos Manapat The Book of Eli Superbly written and astonishing storytelling! At first, I thought the Book of Eli is just another ferocious film featuring what life would have been after the judgement day. But beyond the blood sputtered scenes and vulgar language, viewers will appreciate the simplicity of the story and the complexity and profoundness of its nature and form. The film features a compelling story based on the Christian bible which for me exceeded majority of some motion pictures released in the past years. Denzel Washington, an Oscar winner and a self professed Christian, was able to portray his character with so much sincerity and profoundness of depth and emotion. In a world of chaos where violence and desire for survival prevails, Eli was given an important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But for me, the rating was unnecessary because it only depicts the reality of life in a post apocalyptic world. Directors and scriptwriters definitely didn t hold back on the violence by showing the bits and pieces of the evil world. There are scenes where women are taken advantage of by cold blooded gangs. Face to Face warfare and weapons fighting also became a norm throughout the movie. The Book of Eli is a well built story about a strong minded man who will do anything and everything just to follow and obey the will of the Lord. However, the cruelty and explicit language used is inappropriate for families. Anyway, I believe it is really meant for adult audiences so maybe in the near future the director would consider releasing the same quality movie that will reach the masses. Philosophical ... • 7. A Study Of Current System Essay 2.1: Study of current system The current system consists of manually carrying out all the tasks such as : telephonic communications regarding need of blood, : searching the blood from storage, : retrieving the required blood group, : performing necessary documentations and : delivering the blood. This raises the cost and time required to a considerable extent. Moreover, the efficiency is reduced . Sometimes, due to technical errors the blood delivered may be unhealthy but still it is given to the patient in need causing altogether more complications. The manual transmission might prove in vain if the blood group isn t available at the blood bank. It wastes the passing time to a greater extent as after the end of checking the availability, still the seeker has to undergo the whole procedure again along with travelling to another blood bank. The worst case scenario takes place when the blood banks in that area doesn t contain the required blood group. The time gets wasted and also in the end you do not get what was required. As a result, keeping such problems in mind and many more a solution had to be thought of. 2.2: Problems and weaknesses of current system : At present, the public can only know about the blood donation events through conventional media means such as radio, news paper or television advertisements. There is no information regarding the blood donation programs available on any of the portal. : The current system that is using by the blood bank is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Characteristics of a Classical Hero Demonstrated in The... The Labours of Hercules introduces the most famous Greek hero in mythology, Hercules. He completes twelve immense tasks at an early age for killing his family while under a curse from Hera. The story of his labours contains many reasons why Hercules is classified as a classical hero. Hercules exhibits many of the traits of a classical hero, including numerous guides, hazardous journeys and several hardships and afflictions. Hercules demonstrates one trait of a classical hero by asking for or accepting assistance from other characters throughout the story. Two of his most obvious moments of assistance were when he asks the King of Thebes for his twelve tasks and when he needs help during the search for one of Hera s treasures. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hercules demonstrates a second characteristic when he embarks on his twelve incredibly dangerous labours. By completing these tasks, Hercules would be forgiven for the killing of his family while under Hera s spell. An instance of one of these tasks is when he must destroy Hydra, a creature with many heads, one of which is immortal. He fulfills this task by cutting off most of its heads and then laying its immortal head under a rock for eternity. On another labour Hercules is sent to retrieve Cerberus (the three headed dog of Hades) and bring him to the King then, return it to the post at the entrance to the underworld. These and many other of Hercules immense tasks therefore display a vital quality of a hero in classical mythology. A third trait of a classical hero is demonstrated when Hercules experiences many afflictions and misfortunes during his journeys. Ever since Hera s husband Zeus had an affair and gave life to Hercules, she has hated him and is responsible for most of his afflictions. One of these afflictions is when Hera drove Hercules mad and made him kill his wife and family. Another example of his misfortunes is when Hera sent two very dangerous snakes after him when he was only eight months old; luckily Hercules was incredibly strong and defeated the deadly snakes. The tremendous amount of hardships along his quest therefore reflects a third heroic quality in Hercules. Many characteristics of a classical hero are demonstrated by Hercules in ... Essay on The Canterbury Tales The Canterbury Tales The Prologue to The Canterbury Tales were told during a pilgrimage journey from London to the shrine of the martyr St. Thomas a Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. This was approximately 70 miles to the southeast. These Tales were told by a group of 29 pilgrims, and a Host who met up with them at the Tabard Inn. They left the Inn on the morning of April, 11. The Nun s Priest Tale was the first story actually told, this was determined by whoever drew the shortest straw. These strange looking lines and shapes engraved on the wood are an example of the alphabet use in Greek language in the 4th century. It is very interesting to compare our english alphabet and even the current greek alphabet to these engravings on the tablet. I am amazed that we are able to read what was written on these tablets even though they are 1700 years old and a completely different language. Lizzie Borden Guilty Essay Lizzie Borden Murder trial The borden house,Lizzie, her parents, the axe,Lizzie Borden is guilty. This is the story of a young woman named Lizzie Borden who is accused of whether she murdered her parents or not.In this essay I will give my evidence and reasoning on to why I think Lizzie is guilty. In today s perspective people would argue that Lizzie is guilty, but back in the old times when the murder happened people would have a stronger belief to that she is not guilty.I think that Lizzie Borden is guilty. One vital reason why Lizzie Borden is guilty is because she burned her dress. In the article The trial of Lizzie Borden:an accountant it states that Lizzie was caught by her sister Emma Borden burning the dress that she wore on the day of the murder, when her sister asked what she was doing she replied with I am going to burn this old thing up,it is covered with paint.Lizzie borden burning her dress that she wore on the day of the murder makes her guilty in my opinion. This evidence suggests Lizzie s guilt because she wore that same dress on the day of the murder. She simply could of threw it out or put it away, there was point of burning it up because there were other reason to solve her problem.Due to the fact of Lizzie burning the dress backs up her guilt. ... According to the clients attendance that is recorded in a role book, the invoice will be generated. When riders or staff s information need to be changed, they might need to re fill forms. The annual timetable will be set up at the beginning of the year. Based on the lesson schedule, the manager will assign suitable staff and volunteers. Additionally, the advantages of using paper based system are that making notes on files and sharing within a large group easily. Also, the paper based system will have low requirements on the hardware of the organisation. Besides, one disadvantage of using paper based system is that the manager has to check records manually, which may cause some unnecessary errors. Another disadvantage is that the current system does not provide the manager with special functions to generate statistic efficiently. For the Hardware Considerations: We have decided to design the proposed system by using MySQL software and base on windows 7 and above computer operate system. • 15. Rough Draft Of A Personal Essay Example Farm kid, sister, and coffee lover are a couple of things that describe me. However, those are not the things that define me. I believe there are two adjectives that define me: hard working and passionate. Hard work and passion influence almost everything that I do in life. I also contribute the small successes that I have had to being hard working and passionate. Hard work and passion are two things that were fostered on my family s farm. Growing up, each day I would hop in my grandpa s old, red Chevy and ride down to the farm to spend the day with him. We fed the animals, scouted crops, and did other miscellaneous jobs. Working on the farm all day with my grandpa built my strong work ethic. And as for passion, my passion for the agricultural industry grew deeper each day that I spent at the farm. The experiences on my family s farm shaped who I am. Not only did it build my work ethic and foster my passion for agriculture but, it also defined my values, developed valuable skills, and gave me experiences that I know I ... The Scopes Monkey Trial In the United States, the early 1920s was a time of shifting and conflicting moral values due to people attempting to see which values would dominate the nation s culture. One conflict was between science and religion; ever since science began to explain what once was unexplainable, it clashed with religion. Thus, in 1925, the Scopes Monkey Trial revealed the struggle of America s culture between the forces of Traditionalism and Modernism. The mixture of religion and science caused one of the most famous debates in American history to occur because ideas were the main focus instead of an actual crime. The Scopes Trial opened the doors to the conflict between faith and science that made it the trial of the century. Dayton is a small beautiful Southern town in Tennessee with only a few thousand inhabitants. However, in 1925, Dayton was on the front pages of newspapers all over the United States. Thousands of Americans were arriving to watch the spectacle that happened in this town. Mencken, one of the reporters that came to see the trial unfold, stated that the Scopes Trial was an extraordinary opportunity to put the small town of Dayton on the map (Scopes Trial, Mencken s Trial Account, July 9, p. 1). While I am teaching a lesson I would like for my students to be quite when they should be listening and participating when it is time for them to participate. I am there to guide their learning, the students will be allowed to share, correct, and exchange information when the time is appropriate. I will have the traditional teaching style which is the students paying attention to the teacher, then once the students seem to understand the content they will then be able to move around and interact with other student in either group discussions or at the learning centers throughout the classroom. My classroom will be nice and bright to keep up the positive energy, and it will still be conducted as a learning environment for my students, and they will understand that everything that they learn in my classroom will travel with them till they are old, and they will be able to understand why they are in school and what their purpose is in life.  Assumptions about the Nature of Young People and Learning Every young person wants to satisfy their basic needs which usually tends to be power, love, freedom and fun. Throughout chapter 7, he writes what he believes is a true war story. It s through evil, disbelief, embarrassment, and hidden meanings in Mary Anne s trip to Vietnam that we know what a true war story is. The Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong is a perfect example of a true war story. In a war, nothing ever hangs onto the good; it always grabs on to the evil. Rat Kiley said, At the girl s throat was a necklace of human tongues. Elongated and narrow, like pieces of blackened leather, the tongues were threaded along a length of copper wire, one tongue overlapping the next, the tips curled upward as if caught in a final shrill syllable (105 106). A young girl with a tongue necklace isn t the thing someone would expect to see from her. It s obscene behavior for a girl, especially in this time period. Many people eat animal tongues; it isn t seen as weird behavior, but Mary Anne wears them. The aspect of the human tongues makes it wicked and vile. O Brien wrote, And then one morning, all alone, Mary Anne walked off into the mountains and did not come back. No body was ever found (110). My next offensive argument is that the Catholic Church creates a space of hypocrisy by publicizing one theme of morality but practicing whatever they like through alteration or blatant ignoring of religious tradition within the clerical order with the intent on making money instead of upholding doctrine. This hypocrisy extends to religious vows that were blatantly ignored by the clergy in the past, and do so now with more secrecy. It is Cannon Law that competent authority of the Church must take vows of the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, obedience, and charity (Catholic Canonists). Meanwhile, in the past as seen by the previously mentioned criticisms of Pope Alexander VI s use of great wealth to help seize the papacy and the modern Bishop of Bling shows that both the vows of poverty and obedience to those vows are explicitly ignored by those who are supposed to enforce them. Token economies have been used successfully to reduce the latency of responding to instructions; Buisson, Murdock, Reynolds and Cronin (1995) used a token economy to decrease the response latency for completing headings within a set time limit in hearing impaired children and Fjellstedt and Sulzer AzĂĄroff (1973) used a token system to reduce latency of a student who did not follow directions in a given time limit. The children received tokens, which were paired to back up reinforcers contingent upon them being compliant and following directions within the time limit set. In this study the aim is to use procedures similar to these two studies using a token economy to reduce the response latency in compliance of a gifted child getting off their computer from the get off time that they have been given, to when they actually shut down and gets off the computer for the day. The target behaviour is the child not complying with the family rules that state a set time to get off and stay off the computer and iPad each day. They are used in many competitive sports such as football, baseball and Olympic type events it s of course prohibited and players are tested but it s not difficult for athletes to avoid detection. One of the most controversial sports that anabolic steroids is involved with is bodybuilding, the reason happens to be because of the drug testing policies which allow athletes to build there muscle with the drug then a couple weeks before the competition the athletes cycle off so that test results show that there clean. I think the reason that athletes are so obliged to take these performance enhancing drugs might be peer pressure from coaches, parents, fellow athletes and even family, for some people it s the idea of winning that drives them into taking these drugs. One of the main reasons that this drug is prohibited along with being an effective performance enhancer is its health risks. Through employing the inspector as a dramatic device, Priestly exposes the segregation of the rich and the poor, and the manipulative behaviour that the rich perform upon the poor regarding the prejudice and abusive exploitation the rich deliver on those who are less economically fortunate. The fact that the inspector can control people into believing that they re in the wrong could be interpreted as evidence to suggest that maybe this character is supernatural. The inspector has an overwhelming presence, and has the habit of staring at the candidate before speaking. This confidence to disconcert even the most heartlessness of people could come from being supernatural. Title: Extraction and Visualisation of the Kiwi Fruit and Strawberry Fruit DNA Introduction: All organisms have DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) in the nuclei of their cells. The aim of this experiment is to extract this DNA using common household detergent to breakdown the cellular membrane then through the use of ethanol to extract the DNA from the Kiwi and Strawberry fruit. After the DNA has been extracted the DNA will be visualised by agarose gel electrophoresis which is done by adding a dye to the extracted DNA then being placed in the gel, once the negatively charged DNA has been placed in the gel it will slowly move towards the positively charged end (anode) then is viewed under an ultraviolet light then compared to the control of known lengths of DNA to show the size of the unknown DNA samples. Materials Methods: The requirements for this practical are a small sample of diced kiwi fruit, detergent, zip lock bag, 1 10mL auto pipette, chux cloth, water, funnel, conical flask, 15mL test tube, ice (in esky), texter, ethanol, small plastic hook, 1.5mL eppendorf tube, micro centrifuge, paper towel, 10 200uL auto pipette, distilled water, heat block capable of reaching 55⁰C, agarose gel, intact plasmid (pBluescript), salt, linearized plasmid (cut once), linearized plasmid (cut twice) cut with restriction enzymes, tips for both 10 200uL and the 1 10mL auto pipettes, safety glasses, an ultra violet light and a camera to capture the results are needed to complete the experiment. ... Bizzozero Staining Procedure An experiment Evaluating whether PCNA supports the classification of Bizzozero (1894) tissues tissues placed in three categories, reflecting their replicative potential. Introduction The aim of this experiment was to utilise PCNA and staining procedures to determine whether different tissue cell samples proliferate. Tissue which exhibited brown stains prove cell proliferation and mitotic divisions, this would suggest it being the in the first group of Bizzozero s grouping of tissue types. Tissue samples which showed no brown staining meant no cells had proliferated and therefore were of a different tissue type that do not regenerate while present in the body. The PCNA protein is present during cell division/mitosis therefore, its presence suggests that cell proliferation is occurring or has occurred. An area can be stained using brown diaminobenzidine (DAB) by using an antibody that is against the PCNA protein. A primary antibody then attaches to the PCNA molecule, and a secondary antibody (horse radish peroxidase) attaches to the primary antibody. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The message that the flower of life s beauty can only be witnessed for a brief moment, makes the individual value that time even more. Theodore Roethke s conscious use of rhythmic repetition frames The Waking while emphasizing his view: people are not living life to the fullest. The definition of how to truly live has, as proposed by Roethke, eluded the people of the world. With this crisis he wastes no time in confronting his audience with his truth. Like in a building these lines are used as large supports that hold up the poem and are the focus of each stanza. Line one repeats at the end of stanzas two and four while line three is repeated at the end of stanzas three and five. Interestingly the lines are always placed at the end of the stanza which not only creates rhythm, but also shows that the entire poem boils down to those two main lines. In stanza two Roethke builds on line one by showing natural instinct. He includes the instinctual desire to feel what we cannot see, and to hear which the body often uses to wake up. (Roethke 826) This strengthens the first line and adds to the poem by emphasizing that living half asleep limits a person, and robs them of certain things which otherwise might have been experienced. He continues this pattern of strengthening in stanza three as he now adds more tow line three. By asking a question at the beginning Roethke emphasizes his own imperceptibility which connects to the fact that he must learn of those around him through limited senses.
