Ode To My Socks
It s wintertime and below zero degrees. The family is cuddling by the fire trying to warm themselves.
But, the only thing that provides contentment is the warm socks they received. The warm socks shield
their cold feet from the outside world. The poem, Ode To My Socks, expresses that feeling. The socks,
given to him from Maru Mori, are a comfort to the narrator. The narrator compares the socks to other
items that may bring warmth and happiness to a person. In the poem, Ode To My Socks, Pablo
Neruda, expresses the theme to appreciate the small things in life through the uses of figurative
language, imagery and tone, and symbolism. The use of figurative language in the poem helps develop
the strong theme of appreciation. Neruda conveys his

musical influences Essay
Music has been used for many different things throughout history. It is said that music influences a
person s brain, and by doing so, has an effect on overall behavior or activity of a person. Many Indian
tribes across North America used percussion instruments (drums) to contact the spirits of their
ancestors. During the Renaissance period, during many parties held by royalty, classical music was
played to keep a happy atmosphere about the ballroom. In the next few paragraphs, we ll look at how
today s society blames Metal Music for many behavioral disorders amongst the youth.
Musical preferences are as diverse as the people who listen to them. Different types of music have
different reputations; heavy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This clothing can be seen as an advertisement that displays the teens musical preference. Teens who
prefer metal music have a higher incidence of below average grades, school behavior problems, sexual
activity, drug and alcohol use, and arrests. Despite this, it was obvious that the teens home lives were
stable : two parents, good living conditions and a sound financial status. It s just a way of getting
attention.
Parents want the best for their children, but sometimes their efforts are not beneficial. When parents
nag their children about what they should/shouldn t listen to, kids can become angry and depressed.
This can possibly lead to drinking, drug use, and suicide. Parents can blame this behavior on the music
that their kids are listening to, but they will never be able to link it to the music their children enjoy.
Studies have been done on the effect of heavy metal music. Child psychiatrists at the University of
Iowa examined the effects of heavy metal music on teenagers social behavior. These studies show that
many teens who thought, seriously, about suicide and have thought about or have abused drugs listen
to heavy metal, but they can t show a direct connection between the music and these actions. Another
recent survey done by the University of Iowa reported that female hard

The Characteristics Of Emperor Akbar The Great And The...
As one of the most heavily documented areas of Indian painting, Mughal illustrations have left a
prominent mark in the history of illustrated and illuminated manuscripts. Combining various
characteristics from Persian, Indian and European influences, Mughal artists in conjunction with the
royal biographer, Abu l Fazl, created extraordinary bodies of work. Amongst the thousands of
illustrated manuscripts of the Mughal Empire, the Akbarnama, also known as the Book of Akbar , is
one of the most significant collections of its time. The piece documents the history of Akbar s reign
through various illustrations, such as The Court of Humayun in Exile, a folio from the first
manuscript, made in India, c. 1586 87. Without a doubt, the legacy left by the Mughal Empire has
fueled the acceptance and greater understanding of illustration to this day. From Emperor Babur to
Akbar the Great, the Mughal Empire s constant encouragement of Mughal drawing and painting,
solidifies and validates illustration as a worthy form of visual language. Emperor Babur s experience
as a philosopher and lover of nature, the style s cultural awareness of those who have come before,
and Akbar s extraordinary influence as a ruler, has greatly impacted the artistic and cultural life of
India.
Now, there is no doubt that Akbar the Great, born in 1542, is one of the largest influences on Indian
culture and art. As he took the position as emperor, he took the kingdom s skilled artists, craftsmen
and architects and

Helicopter Parenting Hypothesis
In the experiment Helping or Hovering? The Effects of Helicopter Parenting on College Students Well
Being, the researchers proposed multiple hypotheses. Their first proposed hypothesis was that the
college students perceptions of their parents engaging in helicopter parenting behaviors would be
related to higher levels of depression and anxiety (Lemoyne and Buchanan 2011) as well as decreased
satisfaction with their life (Segrin et al. 2012). In brief, that means that college students who had
helicopter parents would suffer from higher levels of anxiety and depression, as well as showing
increased dissatisfaction for their life. Their second hypothesis was that the relationship between
parenting behaviors and psychological outcomes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The experiment was considered qualitative due to its small sample size that focused on underlying
reasoning and motives compared to a larger sample size that would generalize based of the number of
people which had been carried out through surveys or questionnaires. The participants would have to
answer select questions about their mother that showed either helicoptering traits or autonomy.
Overall, the researchers found their hypothesis to be true. Consistent with the idea, our data suggests
that an inappropriate level of parental behavior control is associated with negative child outcomes.
Specifically, helicopter parenting behaviors were related to higher levels of depression and decreased
satisfaction with life (Schiffrin, Liss, Miles McLean, Geary, Erchull, Tashner, 2013). Researchers
gathered these findings to conclude their hypotheses correct through a series of questions. For
example, the researchers asked the audience My mother monitors who I spend time with the answers
were then represented with factor 1 and factor 2 on their graph to display their findings. Factor one
displayed a child with a helicopter parent and factor two displayed a parent that allowed the child
autonomy. Factor one stood for yes, which would have been a helicoptering parent s child and factor
two was no, which would

Medieval Era Research Paper
The medieval period in Britain lasted from 1066 to 1485 (The Medieval Period). The Medieval period
was a period of great wars, diseases and the rise of the English monarchy. I will list some of the more
important events in this paragraph. The period began with the Norman invasion of England, and ended
with beginning of the Tudor dynasty. During this period eastern Ireland and all of Whales came under
the direct rule of the monarchy, while Scotland managed to stay independent. In 1215 the Magna
Carta was written, marking the first time a monarch agreed to follow formal procedures. The Third

battle fought between the armies of Richard III and Henry Tudor. Richard III died in the battle and

of England, and the coronation of his successor Harold Godwinson. Across the Channel in France,
William, was set on claiming the English crown for himself. With the support of the Pope and from his
nobles, William set made plans for invading England. The prelude to William s invasion was an attack

Taguchi s Design Of Experiments Analysis
In the present study two types of methodologies have been effectively utilized to conduct the
experiments in a scientific manner, one is Taguchi s Design of Experiments (DOE) and other method
of design of experiments were based on randomly selected combination of cutting process parameters
is shown below figure. Previous literature a chapter has involved that Azmi and Lin et al. investigated
the machinability of uni directional glass fiber reinforced (GFRP) composites [42, 60]. Recently, some
of investigators have stated experimental results based on parametric studies to evaluate the surface
quality characteristics such as machining force, surface roughness and delamination damage [31,34,38

4.2. Design of Experiments (DOE) Over 60 to 70 % of machined products have been rejected due to
lack of attention in machinability evaluation before machining. This may be lead to indirect affect on
cost effective escalation in production industries. Therefore, predicting the outcome by introducing a
change of the preconditions and this will be reflected on the results. Taguchi s DOE would be more
effective and acceptable tool for technical investigations. The desirable machinability evaluation
thoroughly obtained by statistical design of experiments (DOE). Reliable results also would be
obtained by full factorial or partial factorial technique. 4.2.1 Taguchi method Taguchi methods have
been widely used in scientific and engineering design. This technique is focusing to formulating the
performance characteristics of parametric settings with deviation [127, 128]. In this methodology, the
experimental settings (DOE) are arranged systematic as per orthogonal array (OA) that can be reduced
wastage of time and minimize the number of experiments [129]. The effect of different factors on the
performance characteristics in a given combination runs can be examined by using the orthogonal
array (OA). Simultaneously OA experimental design will also provides a number of input factors to
permit the study of their effects and interconnections with the experimental output. Taguchi

Ally s Welcome Home-Personal Narrative
Welcome Home It has been fifteen year since the killing of Ally s father. Now her brother, Matthew,
was leaving her to stage four lung cancer. Ally was a twenty eight year old lady, and her skin tone was
white. She had blue eyes and blond hair. Matthew, her brother, was Ally s protector, he was her savior,
and now Ally felt all alone in this dangerous world. She knew that she could not continue their
business by herself. On the day of her brother s funeral, Ally was so determined to go. She was all
dressed in black, and she had her hair nicely pinned up. But right as she was about to leave, she
stopped in the doorway of her front entrance. She panicked at the sight of daylight and fresh air,

So go while you still have the chance. Dion was committing suicide and they both knew it, yet Josh

Ally darling come out come out wherever you are. Dion chanted. Out of nowhere Ally came out of the
closet and attacked Dion. Then *BANG* the gun had went off. Josh stopped dead in his tracks, but by
this time Josh had already made his way out of the house and was about to leave the front yard. Josh
hoped for Dion to come out of the house, what now seemed so dark, but Dion never did. Ally was the
one who showed up and stood in the doorway, knowing she could not still leave the house. Later that
evening, Ally was arrested and put was into a mental facility. Just like Ally inherited her father s
psychoticness, it was then passed down to Josh. Four years after the incident, Josh came back to Ally,
he helped her escape the facility, and together Ally and Josh continue the business her and her brother

The Death Of Movie Theaters Essay
The Death of Movie Theaters?
How Netflix and Hulu are changing the movie going experience. Netflix and Hulu have become some
of the easiest and most affordable ways for college students to watch television. While these massive
online streaming companies advertise affordability, and vast amount of viewing options, other major
entertainment companies are beginning to take notice. They re being able to release high quality
movie content and original shows that are being able to rival anything that is being made for theaters,
Paul McFerron, Employee of the Branson Meadow s Cinema s, told me last week.
McFerron, having worked at the cinema for over a year now, has noticed a slight decline in the
attendance at the theater. He believes that Netflix has something to do with it.
Netflix s cost per month is around 10 dollars now. A year ago, I believe the cost was 7.99 monthly.
What I m trying to say is that if you come to the theater, one ticket alone can cost around 8 dollars.
Then you factor in snacks which could bump your ticket it up to 15 dollars. Plus, if the film is in 3D,
then you are looking at a 12 15 dollar ticket, and add however much you want with concessions. The
prices are steep, and I understand why some people are passing on theaters. The option of being able
to stay in the comfort of your own home is very appealing to people right now. I mean, I myself am a
college student, and I sometimes don t have enough money to go to the movies, so the affordability

Sex Is While Some Take Sex
Many wonder what sex is while some take sex to an extreme. So let s start with defining sex. people
define Sex in different ways. It can include vaginal, oral, and anal sex. (Source 1) There are many
different ideas of about what sex can be such as Vaginal penis in vagina intercourse, Oral sex mouth to
genital contact, Anal Sex penis in anus intercourse, fingering or handjob hand to genital contact, and
masturbation. Most people are more fond of Vaginal intercourse than any of the other types. Now
everyone knows the simple positions for vaginal intercourse, but what about some of the complex
ones. The more complex ones will get you more aroused but the male will go off quicker though.
Some examples are: the waterfall, the hot seat, spin cycle, stairway to heaven, and the pretzel. (Source
5)
Just like you rely on gestures and surprises in romance, you need to help the excitement alive in bed,
too. Just as sex can become predictable so can foreplay. So here are a few ideas to spice things up: try
things outside the bedroom, sext each other, learn to kiss more passionately, slow down explore each
other s body, and dirty talk to each other. (source 3)
Simple vaginal intercourse is sometimes enough for people but for others not so much. Many people
like Rough sex and prefer it over regular sex. Someone may ask well, What is Rough Sex? Rough Sex
is the type of sex where you involve pain in the sexual act, to increase sexual pleasure! (Source 2) It is
a sexual release

Thomas Hardy was an English man, who lived in England near Dorchester.
He lived from 1840 1928 most of what he wrote is set in Dorset and the neighboring countries. He
gave these the fictional name Wessex. He wrote 17 novels which one was unpublished. And around a
thousand poems the melancholy hussar and the withered arm are both from the Wessex tails book. He
lived on the edge of a tract of a wild heath land, which was very isolated this may have resulted in his
stories being set out in the country or being isolated. Or even ending happy in the melancholy hussar

In The Melancholy Hussar Dr.grove does not want any foreigners going near his daughter he does not
mind them camping near by but when he finds out about Mathus he tries to send Phyllis to her aunts
house to get her away from him. As her dad probably sees Humphrey as a more suitable man that
comes from a good family. But Dr.grove does not know anything about mathus; he is prejudging him
just because he is from a different country.
If people break the lines of social restriction it is seen as usually unforgivable so this made the
characters feel very lonely and sad. For example comparing both stories to each other usually there are
no happy endings. Maybe because Thomas Hardy did not like happy endings.
(Rhoda and Gertrude both women which Hardy seemed to concentrate on the social aspects of them.)
Gertrude dies and Rhoda just seems to die off even farmer Lodge gets no son and looses his land,
which has been in his family for years the only one in both stories that seems to be happy is

Why I Want For My Live Negotiation Paper
When it comes to conflicts and negotiations I have always been the type of person to avoid them. The
reasons I avoided them was because I did not know how to handle these situations properly. When it
came to conflicts or negotiations, I would have no medium. Either I would be calm during those
conflicts or I would get really mad. Those two options were not good for me or good for the people I
was trying to resolve conflicts with. After taking this course I learned that I have the avoiding style in
the TKI assessment. This assessment has helped me with strategies I could use in the avoiding style,
and has also taught me how to use different strategies from various different styles. For my live
negotiation paper I choose to negotiate a topic with my boyfriend that is very true and dear to my
heart. He is a lawyer and it is really hard to negotiate with him. We have had various conversations
about having a baby. However, we continue to argue about whether I should lose twenty pounds or
not. I have tried to express different reasons as to why I shouldn t have to lose the weight, but my
ideas and concerns got pushed aside all the time. I would eventually go into my avoiding style and just
stop talking or give up on the topic. I d get angry because I felt like I wasn t being heard. I had even
tried some tactics in the competing style, although I had not known what that was until I took this
course, but in the end I think that I was using them wrong. The conflict that I have is

A. R Ammons World Poem Analysis
From earthquakes to hurricanes to tsunamis nature seemingly is always at odds with humanity.
Humans relationship with the environment has become more stressed as our treatment of nature has
become worse. A.R. Ammons argues in his poem World that we live at the mercy of the world
surrounding us and therefore we should step up our efforts to preserve it. Using a metaphor comparing
earth to a tide pool, rhythm and natural imagery A.R. Ammons stresses how insignificant humans are
to the scope of the earth to emphasize the need to preserve it. Through creating a metaphor connecting
the Earth to the tide pool Ammons emphasizes the fragility of life on Earth and urges us to protect it.

In the opening stanza, Ammons pictures the raw power of the natural world with the ability to shoot /
spray over the jetty boulders and we can extrapolate that ability to other forces of nature and man
made objects such as earthquakes affect son buildings. Even with the devastating destructive
capability of the environment, nature should be maintained like how dangerous animals such as tigers.
The next characteristic of nature that Ammons wants to emphasize to us the serenity of a world so
clear, sterile, encased to represent the despite the awe inspiring power that nature has the ability to
unleash, it remains an innocent defenseless to transgressions of man. The third characteristic of Earth
that Ammons choose to create an image of is the sustaining qualities. Our lives inside on Earth are
sustained by breathing plant created oxygen , quenching our thirst by drinking this sweet rain and
ending our hunger by consuming this green and therefore, Ammons argues, the Earth is vital to our
very existence. These three qualities of the earth characterize the main faces of Earth s beauty. The
existence of these characteristics gives the reader a better image of what the earth contains and
henceforth, what the world offers and what we must protect. Ammons focus on the characteristics of
nature and striking variability of landscapes to motivate

Was The American Revolution Justified
There is a debate that has gone on for decades and is still without a definitive answer. That burning
question is as follows: were the original Patriots justified in their cause for revolution? The obvious
answer is yes, the Patriot cause for revolution was justified. This is for multiple reasons but there are
three big ones. The first is that the 13 colonies were taxed very unfairly. This is because they had no
one in parliament to represent them, so when they were taxed, they had no voice in it. The second
reason is that there were multiple acts imposed upon the colonies that were unfair and borderline
unethical. These include the intolerable acts, specifically the quartering acts, which violated what you
and I see as basic rights. The third ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their first reason of this is that they think that since Great Britain protected the colonists, they are
obligated to pay taxes. Their evidence of this comes from where Thomas Whately says in a pamphlet
written by him, where he says, they should contribute to the Preservation of the Advantages they have
received This is in regard to the so called protection the British have apparently provided the colonists.
Their second point is that since Britain fought to protect the land they live on, they must pay taxes to
pay them back; their evidence of this is a quote from George Greenville, a member of British
parliament. He had said Our nation has run itself into a massive debt to give them this protection and
now they are called upon to contribute a small share towards this expense This is talking about the
French and Indian war, and is saying that the colonists should help to pay back the expenses of the
war. The evidence confirming that the Patriots were justified, however, disproves this argument that
the Patriots were not justified on their revolution against the British, because Britain is in debt because
of the war, yes, but it was mostly colonists who fought it. Sure the colonies are protected by the
British, but they cannot tax them without any kind of representation in

The Big Data Is Preserve Privacy Information Of The...
The most important and significant challenge in the big data is to preserve privacy information of the
customers, employees, and the organizations. It is very sensitive and includes conceptual, technical as
well as legal significance. Any collected information about a person, when combined with other sets
of data, can lead to the finding of persons secret and private information. As big data expands the
sources of data it can use, the trustworthiness of each data source needs to be verified, and techniques
should be explored to identify maliciously inserted data (Jaseena K.U. Julie M. David). Big data gives
us a significant opportunity in the field of national security, a breakthrough of diseases, medical
researchers, marketing and business analysis, urban planning, and so on. But these exceptional
advantages of big data are also restricted by the privacy concerns and the data protection. On the other
side, privacy is a huge concern. Critical pieces of information of users are collected and used in

Congenital Heart Disorder Research Paper
Your child has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as L Transposition of the Great
Arteries, or Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries. This guide has been created to
answer some of the more common questions that parents of children with this congenital heart defect
may have.
What causes this?
While genetic factors may contribute to this heart defect, it is unknown what causes it.
What is it?
In a child with L Transposition of the Great Arteries (l TGA), the left and right ventricles, or pumping
chambers of the heart, are reversed, and the large arteries of the heart, the aorta and the pulmonary
artery, are connected to the wrong ventricles.
This is very different from d Transposition of the Great Arteries, in that, the oxygenated and
unoxygenated blood still has a normal blood flow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Children born with l TGA are not usually blue or cyanotic, and many may not even be diagnosed until
they are much older. The right ventricle in a child with l TGA must work harder than it is designed to,
and so its function may decrease over time. If there are other congenital heart defects present with l
TGA, the child may be blue, and a murmur (noisy blood flow in the heart) is usually heard.
Does my child need surgery?
Many children with l TGA, who do not have other congenital heart defects or problems with their
heart valves, will not need surgery. Sometimes problems with the valves, the right ventricle, or the
rhythm of the heart can develop over time. It is very important that children with l TGA have a
cardiologist that can monitor them closely for signs of any problems.
What special care will my child need?
Children with l TGA may need medications to help their heart function better, to control their blood
pressure, and to help their kidneys get rid of extra fluid they may have. Some children may need
surgery to put in a pacemaker to help control their heart rhythm.
Do I need to limit my child s

It s impossible to achieve success in life without networking. No sports utilizes the strategy more than
Soccer. The most popular international sport s transfer windows, make free agency looks childish. But
conquering it is harder than it looks. Some leagues have mastered the craft others haven t. MLS is still
working on getting the hang of things. Which begs the question. Will an international player in his
prime ever play in the states ? Soccer is the most popular sport on the planet. People in every corner of
the globe are involved in it. The global sport also has a global transfer market sort of. A major party is

Their involvement in the global market is well documented. American Soccer has also participated but
on a smaller scale. In order to create a true transfer market this needs to change. American Soccer
teams aren t known for stealing major talent from foreign clubs. The two parties haven t even played
outside the states. They re potential off field interactions; are more important than they re on field
ones. If MLS wants to be considered a peer it needs to do business overseas. Many if not all the
international clubs are dependent on youth development. MLS has a similar model that has produced
some success. The major difference is MLS players have been known to leave the states. Emerging
stars rarely go play in the states. This mindset isn t a good sign for MLS. DeAndre Yedlin became a
household name; thanks to his MLS and World Cup success. The former Sounder ended joining a club
overseas at the peak of his momentum. Other players have followed a similar path with some success.
This trend is arguably the biggest reason why MLS is viewed as second tier. Reversing the trend

The Four Dimensions Of Qualitative Research
The following paper will discuss the qualitative research, while describing its dimensions, basic
concepts, methods and differences. First, it will portray the four dimensions of the qualitative
research: positivism, postpositivism, constructivism and objectivism, which are divided into
epistemological and ontological. Secondly, it will describe the definition and basic concepts of the
qualitative research; and thirdly, it will represent the five methods possible while conducting a
qualitative research: phenomenology, ethnography, action research, grounded theory, and case study. It
will elaborate each method s definition, distinctive features and data collection methods. In the end, it
will present the differences between all above mentioned research methods. I. Dimensions I.1.
Epistemological positions Positivism is an epistemological position that supports the implementation
of the methods of the natural sciences to the study of social reality. According to Johnson and
Duberley (2000) it is an approach to research that attempts to match as closely as possible to that in
the natural sciences, by: a) relying on observations of the empirical world. b) Avoiding the use of

Rise of the Islamic Empire
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then
you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does
not guide the disbelieving people. (Quran 5:67) Prophet Muhammad PBUH, was born to a branch of

The ramifications of this to the Islamic empire is that by winning the Ridda war, the Muslim
community or Umma was still in a sense united which kept the Muslims in power of Arabia. Handing
the Muslim Umma to such a capable leader like Abu Bakr made sure that the Muslim community
united which guaranteed that the Muslims were still in control of their further territories.
After the death of Abu Bakr the Caliphate was handed seamlessly to Omar bin Al Khattab in 643 and
he ruled for ten years. His transmission to power was seamless because he was practising power
behind the scenes .Many would consider his administration of the Islamic nation as successful and
flourishing. After Muslims victory against the Byzantine in the battle of Yarmuk empire, provided
them with more land Palestine and Syria which helped Muslims with the territorial expansion. Later,
one of the richest cities in the Middle East, Alexandria have surrendered to the Muslims too. The way
Omar administered the territories of the Muslim state is in a fashion where the people of the new
conquered territories continue to live the way they used to. Moreover, these newly conquered places
would pay less money when compared to the previous administration. Not only that, but also, when it
became apparent that Muslim rule meant religious freedom as well as lower taxes, the Arab had little

Net Neutrality Case Study
Skeptics of net neutrality can often contend with those who support net neutrality by drawing
comparisons with the Cable Act of 1992. The act was meant to protect the consumers by forcing cable
companies to carry most local broadcast channels and prohibited them from charging local
broadcasters to carry their own signal. One such argument came from Thomas W. Hazlett, a professor
of law and economics at George Mason University; he stated that the act s inability to maintain the
number of customers, let alone increase raises the question of the real effects of consumer protection
laws despite its initial intentions. Hazlett likens net neutrality by insisting that it s likely to repeat the
same consequences, which stifle progress and profit. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay about Renaissance Man and Renaissance Women
Between the 1300s and 1500s, Europe experienced a period of cultural rebirth known as the
Renaissance, marking the transition from medieval times to modern times. The Renaissance brought
new importance to individual expression, self consciousness and worldly experience.
The Renaissance man and woman characterized the Renaissance ideals. A renaissance man was a well
educated gentleman who had cultural grace, courage and who understood the arts and sciences. On the
other hand, a Renaissance woman was supposed to marry well, be loyal to her husband and give birth
to boys.
The most famous Renaissance man was Leonardo Da Vinci who was born on April 15th 1452 in
Florence, Italy. Da Vinci was truly recognized by many to be a Renaissance child ... Show more

As for Renaissance women, two of them made history: Isabella d Este and Catherine de Medici.
Isabella d Este was born in 1474. At the age of 16 she married Francesco Gonzaga, Prince of Mantua.
She was able to speak Greek and Latin as well as play the lute, sing and dance and debate with people
much older than her after the death of her husband, Isabella became chief of state in Mantua. She also
founded a school for young women and set artistic fashions and standards.
Catherine de Medici was another Renaissance woman born in 1519. Nuns raised her when her parents
died and had an arrangement marriage by her uncle the Pope. Three of her sons became kings under
her influence. Catherine had a great interest in architecture when she built the new wing of the Louvre
Museum, the construction of the Tuilleries Gardens and the building of the Chateau Monceau.
In conclusion, Leonardo da Vinci was one of the most famous from the Renaissance period and is the
example of the Renaissance man because he was a master of both the world of arts as well as the
world of science. Isabella d Este during her rule set an example for women to break away from the
traditional role of what women were supposed to be like during the Renaissance period. By doing this
and many other things she was known as the First Lady of the Renaissance . Catherine was a great

Decision Making Process Of The Theory Of Organization
Decision Making Decision making process is a way to get a final choice on achieving goals or solving
problems among several alternatives. In classical theory of organization, it was believed that only top
managers perform as the decision makers. It regards the employees as instrument (March and Simon
1993). However, In Simon and March s view (1993), employees are not just instrument, they are
indeed rational people that think, act, and decide on their own in organizations. The decisions they
made not only are affected by their knowledge and information received, but also their ability to solve
problems, attitudes, personal goals and values. Organization is a system that made up of many

In the past, people commonly believed in the hierarchical descriptions of organization because its
efficiency and it fits more general cultural norms for describing social relations in terms of domination
and subordination (March and Simon 1993 Revisited). However, in Organizations, Simon and March
(1993) contend that the central unifying construct is not hierarchy but decision making, and the flow
of information within organizations that instructs, informs, and supports decision making processes .
In order to identify how Simon and March develops the understanding of organization through
decision making, people need to understand why the classical theory is regarded as improper. The first
point is the rationality. In classical method, the rational man makes optimal choices with conditions
that there are already several alternatives simply given with no reasons why it is obtained and
consequences attached to each alternatives. The decision makers have their own preferences and
choose the one they think to be most optimal. However, since not all consequences of alternatives are
certain or can be predicted, and the conditions are too perfectly imagined, the classical theory of
rational man involves difficulties. It cannot be imagined in advance what will happen to an
organization, or how the environment will change, not everything proceeds under people s
expectations. It is not like during a dinner, several dishes are

that for a woman, was almost impossible to live at the time, including having a great education. She
wanted to let women know that they have a voice in the world, and that they could accomplish great
things. Her main career was being a physician, and was one of the first female Methodist ministers in
the United States of America. She fought for women s rights, including women s suffrage, and to be
sure that women would be respected in America, and around the world. Her heart and dedication did

Sound In Unforgiven
Power and sound. Those are the two aspects of this film that stuck out to me while I was watching
Unforgiven. Clint Eastwood did a very good job of producing this movie. I saw power in the Sheriff
while he was attacking Bill. I saw great use of sound while Ned was getting whipped, and also the
music towards the end. Clint Eastwood did a great job showing the Sheriff s power. He did this several
times throughout the movie. However, one time I really noticed it, was when he was attacking Bill.
The Sheriff was at the top of the screen and Bill was at the bottom, looking up at the Sheriff. Then Bill
goes on to crawl through the bar and outside. This shows that in this situation, the Sheriff is more
powerful than Bill. The director made this shot so that the Sheriff would seem stronger and would
make Bill look small and weak. This is important to Bill s character because Bill could have tried to
fight back. He did not because Bill knows when to pick fights, and when to pass. It also shows that he
is able to keep cool even though the Sheriff was making fun of him. Granted, he was sick, but I think

Meet The Sixth Sense Interaction Summary
Meet the sixth sense interaction

SUMMARY
Researcher Pattie Maes definitely presented information with exigence: she had possibly opened a
new area of deep research as President Kennedy did with NASA. Maes had introduced the possibility
of utilizing technology to artificially develop a sixth sense, a technology that would serve as a
personal assistant to humans, likewise the smartphone. Maes had introduced her product as the
sixthsense camera. Clients would simply wear the, as she suggested, unstylish camera, around the

Will gaining a sixthsense further develop the gyri and sulci of the human brain? The answer to this is
likely both yes and no. Gaining a sixthsense will undoubtfully permit students an efficient and easy
access to information although may inhibit development of patience and hard work. Students may lose
social skills, continuing a millennial like trend, as the need to socialize and determine the identity of
others will no longer be necessary via a mouth and questioning, but rather via a holographic
projection. I am quite frankly fascinated by the idea of developing a sixthsense although do believe
this should be left alone and not diffuse globally. I am a firm believer of humanity and philosophy,
however, the sixthsense technology will not encourage nor force students to think either critically nor
liberally as all information will be readily available. I believe humans should learn become polyglots

The battle for the state of Indiana is usually quite set. Indiana has long been considered to be a staunch
Republican supporting state, especially in Presidential races. The Hoosier state has only supported a
Democratic candidate for president five times since 1900. These include Woodrow Wilson, Franklin
D. Roosevelt in two elections, Lyndon Johnson, and, by a mere 1% margin, Barak Obama. But, it is
also interesting to note that eleven Democrats have been elected Indiana s governor during that same
time span. On the other hand, 14 Republican presidential candidates have defeated a Democratic

When trying to win any election in Indiana, candidates need to focus on the issues facing the everyday

to focus on Indiana s largest economic markets to get as much support as possible. For example,
Northwestern Indiana is the largest steel producing area in the U.S. Besides steel, pharmaceuticals and
medical devices reign king in central Indiana (Bureau of Labor Statistics,
http://stats.bls.gov/eag/eag.in.htm). This is largely attributed to the international headquarters and
research facilities of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, the state s largest corporation, residing in
Indianapolis. Similarly, the world headquarters of Mead Johnson Nutritionals is located in Evansville,

Darden Restaurants
, founded in 1968, is the largest full service dining restaurant company in the world. It is
headquartered in Orlando, Florida, but serves the global market with the brands of Olive Garden, Red
Lobster, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, Capital Grille, and the Long Horn Steakhouse Chain. The
company boasted close to $8 billion in 2012 revenue, with a net income of $475 million. It has
180,000 employees and almost $6 billion in total assets (www.darden.com).
Darden has four supply channels: smallware (restaurant supplies); frozen/dry canned products, fresh
food, and seafood. The common features of the supply channel management are the qualification of
the supplier, product tracking, global sourcing, independent audits of suppliers and the ability to
manage just in time inventory.
Part B. Supplier Relationship and Structure
Darden takes its suppliers very seriously, prior to doing business, the supplier must be qualified and a
Total Quality Management Team assigned to that vendor. Product tracking occurs with inspection
teams that identify the lot ID, atmospheric packaging, and the ability to track the order from origin to
receipt of goods. For their many restaurants, Darden structures its supplies from 5 continents and
thousands of suppliers, but insists on independent and accurate assessments in order to maintain
relationships. Everything must be JIT inventory except smallware.

In the short stories A Rose for Emily written by William Faulkner and The Yellow Wallpaper written
by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the protagonists experience mental illness, loneliness, feelings of being
in control of their lives, and feelings of being insane. Both main characters struggle against male
domination and control. The two stories take place in the late 1800 s early 1900 s, a time where men s
place in society was superior to that of women. Each story was written from a different perspective
and life experiences. A Rose for Emily was written by a man and told in third personal narration,
while The Yellow Wallpaper was written by a female and told in first person. In A Rose for Emily

The two cousins are forced to leave by Miss Emily with help from the townsfolk who could not stand
the cousins. Homer is seen sneaking back into the house once the cousins are gone, and Miss Emily is
not going to let him leave her again. Her insanity has driven her to the point that she poisons him one
evening and lies in an embrace with him. The Yellow Wallpaper tells of the journey into insanity
(brought on by postpartum depression?) of a physician s wife. Persuaded by her husband that there is
nothing wrong with her, only temporary nervous depression, a diagnosis that is confirmed by her
brother( Gilman, 647). What is telling is that she suspects perhaps her husband John is the reason she
does not get well faster. She and/or we are led to believe that they have rented a colonial mansion for
the summer for her to get well. She is however isolated in a home three miles from the village and on
an island. (Gilman, 648). She wants to stay in the downstairs room with roses and pretty things, but
her husband insists on the room at the top of the house ostensibly because it has room for two beds.
But the room s description of barred windows and walls with rings and things in them (Gilman, 648)
could leads the reader one to conclude that this is his own private asylum, and not a nursery first and
then a playroom and gymnasium (Gilman, 648) as the woman believes. It is this room, and more

Risk Return
a. What are investment returns? What is the return on an investment that costs $1,000 and is sold after
1 year for $1,100? Investment returns is the expectation of earning money in the future on the amount
of money invested. The return is the financial performance of the investment. The return is the
difference between the amount invested and the amount you are returned after said investment. There
are two ways to show return on investment. 1. By dollar return. Amount to be received Amount
invested = $1,100 $1,000 = $100 in return The problems with expressing returns in dollars, you don t
know the size of the investment for that dollar return and you don t know the timing of the return. 2.

Biological Effects Of Grounding On The Body
Grounding has shown to affect inflammation, chronic pain, cardiovascular function, and other
biological processes (Chevalier, Sinatra, Oshman Delany, 2013). It was hypothesized that those who
electrically ground themselves with the natural world around them would be in an elevated, happier
mood. Findings from the research conducted did not support this hypothesis. Results were not
consistent with the previous research conducted on the effects of grounding on the physical body;
however, research on the psychological effects of grounding the body has not been conducted on a
large scale. Because of the previous research on the biological effects of grounding, there is a
theoretical argument to suggest that it could positively affect mood,

Australia Soft Drink Market
Cultural Background
The FSANZ phone survey of adolescents and young adults in Australia found that Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islanders were more likely to consume sugar sweetened soft drinks compared to other
Australians (72 per cent versus 50 per cent) and consumed significantly larger amounts (249 ml versus
128 ml per day) (Food Standards Australia New Zealand 2003a). The 2004 SPANS survey of children
in Years 6 10 in NSW found consumption of soft drinks to be lowest among students of Asian
background and highest among boys of Southern European and Middle Eastern background (Booth et
al. 2006).

One of the few studies examining the factors affecting soft drink consumption in adults showed that
consumption of sugar sweetened soft drinks was associated with less restrained and more external
eating, i.e. sensitive to external stimuli such as taste (Elfhag et al. 2007). The study, conducted among
3265 adults in Sweden showed that, in contrast, diet soft drinks were consumed by persons with a
higher body mass index (BMI) (possibly in an attempt to reduce their weight), more restrained eating
and more emotional eating.
Parents as Models
A study in Australia showed that the influence of mothers, either as models of eating behaviours or as
the providers of food, is pervasive (Campbell et al. 2007). Parental soft drink consumption was
positively associated with younger children s intake in two studies (Grimm et al. 2004; Vereecken et
al. 2004). Mother s consumption was found to be an independent predictor for regular soft drink
consumption among children in Belgium (Vereecken et al. 2004). In the US, children aged 8 13 years
whose parents regularly drank soft drinks were nearly three times more likely to consume soft drinks
five or more times per week compared with those whose parents did not regularly drink soft drinks
(Grimm et al. 2004).
A higher frequency of preparing food was found to be related to lower intakes of carbonated
beverages among female adolescents in the US (Larson

The Sandringham House
Sandringham house, as the much loved living place of royal members, has seen its many deaths:
Prince Eddy (the Prince of Wales s eldest son) in 1892, Queen Alexandra in 1925, George V in 1936,
and George VI in 1952. Comparing to Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, Sandringham house
has its special attractions to royal members for architectural style, living environment, interior or
exterior decoration etc. However, this spectacular building was not the same as what it look like at
present. More than 3 renowned architects were invited to design and reconstruct this house in history.
As time went on and technology developed, almost all elements including style, shape, materials as
well as decoration have changed. This part will introduce these variations in details with respect to
period. The history of the Sandringham estate could be dated from 1686 when document show its sale
by the Cobbe family. Then, in year 1771, it was taken over by Cornish Henley who replaced a
rambling sixteenth century house with a plain, compact, rectangular Georgian building covered in
white painted stucco enlivened by a gable above the front door and a bay window overlooking a lake
to the west (NIGEL R. JONES,2005) The comment sounds negative, but certainly this makes the
interior intensely revealing for interior design historians. According to the description in books, the
house was built in Georgian architectural style with a plain, compact, rectangular shape generally. As

Similarities Between Carry On And Harry Potter
Carry On is a fantasy novel written by Rainbow Rowell, one that mirrors the Harry Potter series,
written by J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter was born into the Wizarding World, and prophesied to be the
savior of the magical world. Harry attends Hogwarts, a boarding school for young witches and
wizards, and over his six years there, works up the power to defeat Lord Voldemort. Simon Snow, on
the other hand, was born a Normal. At age eleven, he was taken to Watford, the magical school in the
World of Mages. He is thought to be the Chosen One, and is trained to use his magic to defeat the
Humdrum. The two books are similar in more ways than one, but they also have their differences.
Some common elements are character types, themes, and the Chosen One archetype. Characters come
in many different shapes and sizes, not to mention their personalities and roles. Before getting very
far, one will notice the abundance of similarities between these two texts, including the element of
magic, the setting, and other small details. One thing that stands out are the common archetypes
between Carry On and Harry Potter. The first of these similar characters come in the form of the best
friend. Ron Weasley and Penelope Bunce are alike in the sense that they are the best friend of the main
character, and could even be considered as the sidekicks. Both are at the hero s side when needed, and
there to provide some comic relief or reassurance in troubling times. This leads to one difference

Mental Health Issues For Asylum Seekers
The issue of asylum seekers recently was reignited, with the dramatic increase in the number of illegal
boats arriving in Australia. From the 30th of September 2013, there were a reported 6,403 people in
closed detention, this number including 1,078 children. It is not surprising from these high detention
rates and poor living standards that between January 2011 and February 2013 that there were 4,313
reported incidents of actual, threatened or attempted serious self harm in these immigration detention
facilities. From 12 deaths that occurred between the 1st of July 2010 and the 20th of June 2013 6 of
these have been found by coroners to be suicides (Triggs, 2013). These statistics are incredibly
alarming, especially when not much action is being taken to prevent not only mental illness but also
the consequences of prolonged mental illness suicide. The purpose of this report is to analyse and
scrutinize the reason why mental health issues for asylum seekers are becoming an issue in Australia,
and find out what exactly is being done to combat this ever growing issue in Australia.
An asylum seeker is a person who has fled their own country and applied for protection as a refugee.
As an asylum seeker their experience is extremely different to that of a Migrant. A Migrant chooses to
leave their home country, and can choose where to go and when they might return to their home
country, whereas, an asylum seeker or refugee are forced to flee their country for their own safety,

Essay on Candide
CANDIDE
By
Voltaire
Throughout Candide the author, Voltaire, demonstrates the character s experiences in a cruel world
and his fight to gain happiness. In the beginning Candide expects to achieve happiness without
working for his goal and only taking the easy way out of all situations. However, by the end of the
book the character realized that to achieve happiness a lot of work, compromises, and sacrifices are
necessary.
Candide is a person of privilege who began life in the Castle of Westphalia. While a part of the castle
life, Candide was taught by Dr. Pangloss. Pangloss is a philosopher who teaches there is a cause for all
things and that everything is all for the good, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When he does meet Cunegonde life does not become any easier or richer. At this reunion, Candide
does begin to take his life s matters into his own hands. His first attempt at this accomplishment is
shown when he kills Cunegonde s rapists. Though life does not become any easier, at this point
Candide begins to grow from a naïve young person into a grown realist. Cunegonde suddenly leaves
Candide for a wealthy man. The man s wealth, however, proves not to bring happiness to either
Cunegonde or Candide.
Candide realizes he must take responsibility for his life. He must accept situations and try to change
obstacles that may be hindrances. Candide learns that labor will eliminate the three curses of mankind:
want, boredom, and vice. Candide realizes he must build his own life, however simple it may be.
When meeting a man that is happy with a simple garden to tend and a family to love, Candide realizes
life does not have to be full of wealth in order to be happy. He realizes that everything in life is not
evil, especially when a person strives to make changes and not simply accept what comes their way. A
reader of Candide should realize how accepting a situation and not trying to charge or overcome its
obstacles is only harmful. If a person does not attempt to change a bad situation, then that person
should be complain about the outcome. A person should take responsibility and

Maternal Health Essay
Preventing maternal deaths demands challenging social biases that drastically limit women s choices
and deter husbands, fathers, health care providers and policymakers from investing in women.
Transforming these attitudes and behaviours requires working not only with women, but also with
men to demonstrate the benefits that gender equality brings to families and communities (UNFPA,
2012). In 2005, India, home to more than 50,000 maternal deaths annually, intervened through the
Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), or the motherhood protection scheme , which focuses on
incentivization of institutional deliveries as a panacea to curb maternal mortality. Yet, India has failed

Though these experiences gave me an experiential foregrounding of how development issues have

pursue an M.A. in Gender Development. The different modules equipped me to critically engage with
different feminist theories and frameworks. I was particularly intrigued by the concept of
intersectionality. When I reflected on my past experiences through the lens of intersectionality, I
realized that the various forms of discrimination I observed, were part of a complex process and
interacted with each other to compound the subordination of girls and women. Additionally, I
participated in a collaborative writing project with my classmates and professors, wherein I reviewed
and analysed the existing literature on health and accountability to understand whether and how
authors had included notions of gender and intersectionality in their papers.
During the M.A., the intersection of gender and health interested me the most. Within the domain,
maternal health invoked a special interest in me, as India accounts for the maximum maternal

  • 2. Ode To My Socks It s wintertime and below zero degrees. The family is cuddling by the fire trying to warm themselves. But, the only thing that provides contentment is the warm socks they received. The warm socks shield their cold feet from the outside world. The poem, Ode To My Socks, expresses that feeling. The socks, given to him from Maru Mori, are a comfort to the narrator. The narrator compares the socks to other items that may bring warmth and happiness to a person. In the poem, Ode To My Socks, Pablo Neruda, expresses the theme to appreciate the small things in life through the uses of figurative language, imagery and tone, and symbolism. The use of figurative language in the poem helps develop the strong theme of appreciation. Neruda conveys his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. musical influences Essay Music has been used for many different things throughout history. It is said that music influences a person s brain, and by doing so, has an effect on overall behavior or activity of a person. Many Indian tribes across North America used percussion instruments (drums) to contact the spirits of their ancestors. During the Renaissance period, during many parties held by royalty, classical music was played to keep a happy atmosphere about the ballroom. In the next few paragraphs, we ll look at how today s society blames Metal Music for many behavioral disorders amongst the youth. Musical preferences are as diverse as the people who listen to them. Different types of music have different reputations; heavy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This clothing can be seen as an advertisement that displays the teens musical preference. Teens who prefer metal music have a higher incidence of below average grades, school behavior problems, sexual activity, drug and alcohol use, and arrests. Despite this, it was obvious that the teens home lives were stable : two parents, good living conditions and a sound financial status. It s just a way of getting attention. Parents want the best for their children, but sometimes their efforts are not beneficial. When parents nag their children about what they should/shouldn t listen to, kids can become angry and depressed. This can possibly lead to drinking, drug use, and suicide. Parents can blame this behavior on the music that their kids are listening to, but they will never be able to link it to the music their children enjoy. Studies have been done on the effect of heavy metal music. Child psychiatrists at the University of Iowa examined the effects of heavy metal music on teenagers social behavior. These studies show that many teens who thought, seriously, about suicide and have thought about or have abused drugs listen to heavy metal, but they can t show a direct connection between the music and these actions. Another recent survey done by the University of Iowa reported that female hard ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Characteristics Of Emperor Akbar The Great And The... As one of the most heavily documented areas of Indian painting, Mughal illustrations have left a prominent mark in the history of illustrated and illuminated manuscripts. Combining various characteristics from Persian, Indian and European influences, Mughal artists in conjunction with the royal biographer, Abu l Fazl, created extraordinary bodies of work. Amongst the thousands of illustrated manuscripts of the Mughal Empire, the Akbarnama, also known as the Book of Akbar , is one of the most significant collections of its time. The piece documents the history of Akbar s reign through various illustrations, such as The Court of Humayun in Exile, a folio from the first manuscript, made in India, c. 1586 87. Without a doubt, the legacy left by the Mughal Empire has fueled the acceptance and greater understanding of illustration to this day. From Emperor Babur to Akbar the Great, the Mughal Empire s constant encouragement of Mughal drawing and painting, solidifies and validates illustration as a worthy form of visual language. Emperor Babur s experience as a philosopher and lover of nature, the style s cultural awareness of those who have come before, and Akbar s extraordinary influence as a ruler, has greatly impacted the artistic and cultural life of India. Now, there is no doubt that Akbar the Great, born in 1542, is one of the largest influences on Indian culture and art. As he took the position as emperor, he took the kingdom s skilled artists, craftsmen and architects and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Helicopter Parenting Hypothesis In the experiment Helping or Hovering? The Effects of Helicopter Parenting on College Students Well Being, the researchers proposed multiple hypotheses. Their first proposed hypothesis was that the college students perceptions of their parents engaging in helicopter parenting behaviors would be related to higher levels of depression and anxiety (Lemoyne and Buchanan 2011) as well as decreased satisfaction with their life (Segrin et al. 2012). In brief, that means that college students who had helicopter parents would suffer from higher levels of anxiety and depression, as well as showing increased dissatisfaction for their life. Their second hypothesis was that the relationship between parenting behaviors and psychological outcomes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The experiment was considered qualitative due to its small sample size that focused on underlying reasoning and motives compared to a larger sample size that would generalize based of the number of people which had been carried out through surveys or questionnaires. The participants would have to answer select questions about their mother that showed either helicoptering traits or autonomy. Overall, the researchers found their hypothesis to be true. Consistent with the idea, our data suggests that an inappropriate level of parental behavior control is associated with negative child outcomes. Specifically, helicopter parenting behaviors were related to higher levels of depression and decreased satisfaction with life (Schiffrin, Liss, Miles McLean, Geary, Erchull, Tashner, 2013). Researchers gathered these findings to conclude their hypotheses correct through a series of questions. For example, the researchers asked the audience My mother monitors who I spend time with the answers were then represented with factor 1 and factor 2 on their graph to display their findings. Factor one displayed a child with a helicopter parent and factor two displayed a parent that allowed the child autonomy. Factor one stood for yes, which would have been a helicoptering parent s child and factor two was no, which would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Taguchi s Design Of Experiments Analysis In the present study two types of methodologies have been effectively utilized to conduct the experiments in a scientific manner, one is Taguchi s Design of Experiments (DOE) and other method of design of experiments were based on randomly selected combination of cutting process parameters is shown below figure. Previous literature a chapter has involved that Azmi and Lin et al. investigated the machinability of uni directional glass fiber reinforced (GFRP) composites [42, 60]. Recently, some of investigators have stated experimental results based on parametric studies to evaluate the surface quality characteristics such as machining force, surface roughness and delamination damage [31,34,38 112,113,114,115,116,117,118,119,120,121, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 4.2. Design of Experiments (DOE) Over 60 to 70 % of machined products have been rejected due to lack of attention in machinability evaluation before machining. This may be lead to indirect affect on cost effective escalation in production industries. Therefore, predicting the outcome by introducing a change of the preconditions and this will be reflected on the results. Taguchi s DOE would be more effective and acceptable tool for technical investigations. The desirable machinability evaluation thoroughly obtained by statistical design of experiments (DOE). Reliable results also would be obtained by full factorial or partial factorial technique. 4.2.1 Taguchi method Taguchi methods have been widely used in scientific and engineering design. This technique is focusing to formulating the performance characteristics of parametric settings with deviation [127, 128]. In this methodology, the experimental settings (DOE) are arranged systematic as per orthogonal array (OA) that can be reduced wastage of time and minimize the number of experiments [129]. The effect of different factors on the performance characteristics in a given combination runs can be examined by using the orthogonal array (OA). Simultaneously OA experimental design will also provides a number of input factors to permit the study of their effects and interconnections with the experimental output. • 9. The Death Of Movie Theaters Essay The Death of Movie Theaters? How Netflix and Hulu are changing the movie going experience. Netflix and Hulu have become some of the easiest and most affordable ways for college students to watch television. While these massive online streaming companies advertise affordability, and vast amount of viewing options, other major entertainment companies are beginning to take notice. They re being able to release high quality movie content and original shows that are being able to rival anything that is being made for theaters, Paul McFerron, Employee of the Branson Meadow s Cinema s, told me last week. McFerron, having worked at the cinema for over a year now, has noticed a slight decline in the attendance at the theater. Plus, if the film is in 3D, then you are looking at a 12 15 dollar ticket, and add however much you want with concessions. The prices are steep, and I understand why some people are passing on theaters. The option of being able to stay in the comfort of your own home is very appealing to people right now. I mean, I myself am a college student, and I sometimes don t have enough money to go to the movies, so the affordability ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

So here are a few ideas to spice things up: try things outside the bedroom, sext each other, learn to kiss more passionately, slow down explore each other s body, and dirty talk to each other. But Dr.grove does not know anything about mathus; he is prejudging him just because he is from a different country. If people break the lines of social restriction it is seen as usually unforgivable so this made the characters feel very lonely and sad. The reasons I avoided them was because I did not know how to handle these situations properly. When it came to conflicts or negotiations, I would have no medium. Either I would be calm during those conflicts or I would get really mad. Those two options were not good for me or good for the people I was trying to resolve conflicts with. After taking this course I learned that I have the avoiding style in the TKI assessment. This assessment has helped me with strategies I could use in the avoiding style, and has also taught me how to use different strategies from various different styles. For my live negotiation paper I choose to negotiate a topic with my boyfriend that is very true and dear to my heart. He is a lawyer and it is really hard to negotiate with him. We have had various conversations about having a baby. However, we continue to argue about whether I should lose twenty pounds or not. I have tried to express different reasons as to why I shouldn t have to lose the weight, but my ideas and concerns got pushed aside all the time. I would eventually go into my avoiding style and just stop talking or give up on the topic. I d get angry because I felt like I wasn t being heard. I had even tried some tactics in the competing style, although I had not known what that was until I took this course, but in the end I think that I was using them wrong. Humans relationship with the environment has become more stressed as our treatment of nature has become worse. A.R. Ammons argues in his poem World that we live at the mercy of the world surrounding us and therefore we should step up our efforts to preserve it. Using a metaphor comparing earth to a tide pool, rhythm and natural imagery A.R. Ammons stresses how insignificant humans are to the scope of the earth to emphasize the need to preserve it. • 15. Was The American Revolution Justified There is a debate that has gone on for decades and is still without a definitive answer. That burning question is as follows: were the original Patriots justified in their cause for revolution? The obvious answer is yes, the Patriot cause for revolution was justified. This is for multiple reasons but there are three big ones. The first is that the 13 colonies were taxed very unfairly. This is because they had no one in parliament to represent them, so when they were taxed, they had no voice in it. The second reason is that there were multiple acts imposed upon the colonies that were unfair and borderline unethical. These include the intolerable acts, specifically the quartering acts, which violated what you and I see as basic rights. The third ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their first reason of this is that they think that since Great Britain protected the colonists, they are obligated to pay taxes. Their evidence of this comes from where Thomas Whately says in a pamphlet written by him, where he says, they should contribute to the Preservation of the Advantages they have received This is in regard to the so called protection the British have apparently provided the colonists. Their second point is that since Britain fought to protect the land they live on, they must pay taxes to pay them back; their evidence of this is a quote from George Greenville, a member of British parliament. He had said Our nation has run itself into a massive debt to give them this protection and now they are called upon to contribute a small share towards this expense This is talking about the French and Indian war, and is saying that the colonists should help to pay back the expenses of the war. The evidence confirming that the Patriots were justified, however, disproves this argument that the Patriots were not justified on their revolution against the British, because Britain is in debt because of the war, yes, but it was mostly colonists who fought it. The Sheriff was at the top of the screen and Bill was at the bottom, looking up at the Sheriff. Then Bill goes on to crawl through the bar and outside. This shows that in this situation, the Sheriff is more powerful than Bill. The director made this shot so that the Sheriff would seem stronger and would make Bill look small and weak. This is important to Bill s character because Bill could have tried to fight back. He did not because Bill knows when to pick fights, and when to pass. It also shows that he is able to keep cool even though the Sheriff was making fun of him. Granted, he was sick, but I think he could have fought back if he wanted too. This type of power can also ... • 34. Meet The Sixth Sense Interaction Summary Meet the sixth sense interaction Presented by researcher Pattie Maes of MIT SUMMARY Researcher Pattie Maes definitely presented information with exigence: she had possibly opened a new area of deep research as President Kennedy did with NASA. Maes had introduced the possibility of utilizing technology to artificially develop a sixth sense, a technology that would serve as a personal assistant to humans, likewise the smartphone. Maes had introduced her product as the sixthsense camera. Clients would simply wear the, as she suggested, unstylish camera, around the neck and interact with its projection. This sixthsense camera is similar to the technology fictional character Rory Starks uses in his laboratory in the movie Ironman. Will gaining a sixthsense further develop the gyri and sulci of the human brain? The answer to this is likely both yes and no. Gaining a sixthsense will undoubtfully permit students an efficient and easy access to information although may inhibit development of patience and hard work. Students may lose social skills, continuing a millennial like trend, as the need to socialize and determine the identity of others will no longer be necessary via a mouth and questioning, but rather via a holographic projection. I am quite frankly fascinated by the idea of developing a sixthsense although do believe this should be left alone and not diffuse globally. I am a firm believer of humanity and philosophy, however, the sixthsense technology will not encourage nor force students to think either critically nor liberally as all information will be readily available. I believe humans should learn become polyglots in order to find, create and retain knowledge, not have a cloud spoon feed it to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Then describe why you find it so interesting. In the play, Anna in the Tropics by Nilo Cruz, I chose Cheché since he drove most of the action in the plot and he had a different opinion on how to advance the factory. Cheché was unique from all the characters because his past was somewhat unclear; all the audience knows was that he came from up north and that one day he showed up as Santiago s half brother. The Hoosier state has only supported a Democratic candidate for president five times since 1900. These include Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt in two elections, Lyndon Johnson, and, by a mere 1% margin, Barak Obama. But, it is also interesting to note that eleven Democrats have been elected Indiana s governor during that same time span. Understandably, candidates try to focus on Indiana s largest economic markets to get as much support as possible. For example, Northwestern Indiana is the largest steel producing area in the U.S. Besides steel, pharmaceuticals and medical devices reign king in central Indiana (Bureau of Labor Statistics, http://stats.bls.gov/eag/eag.in.htm). This is largely attributed to the international headquarters and research facilities of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, the state s largest corporation, residing in Indianapolis.
