Ancient Egypt Geography
1.Give the geographical location of ancient Egypt from the general to the specifics of north, south,
east and west.
Ans: The geography of Ancient Egyptian was an interesting concept from the perspective of the
ancient Egyptians themselves. They believed their country was divided into two distinct
geographical sections, the black land known as the fertile banks of the river Nile and the red land
which is known as the barren desert that covered the rest of the country.
Ancient Egypt was in North Eastern Africa, which were formed and flourished along the lower
portion of the Nile River. It is made up most of what is now the modern Arab Republic of Egypt.
Ancient Egypt had four main divisions of its land, the first two being the Upper and Lower ... Show

Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are the three main column styles developed by the ancient
Greeks. These column styles still are used in buildings today. Doric is the simplest Greek
column. The column is plain, and it has no base. Doric columns often had statues of gods or
heroes on top of them. Ionic is taller than the Doric, and its surface has carved lines from top to
bottom. The base of an Ionic column looks like a stack of rings, and the capital on top of the
column looks like a giant scroll. Corinthian, like Ionic, has carved lines from top to bottom on its
surface and a base that looks like a stack of rings. The capital of Corinthian columns, however, has
flowers and leaves below a small scroll, making Corinthian columns the most decorative of all the
Greek column types. Doric is the shortest of the Greek columns. The height of a Doric column is
five and a half times its width. The height of an Ionic column is nine times the width of the column.
The height of a Corinthian column is 10 times its width, making it the tallest of the Greek columns.
The Parthenon in Athens, Greece, is the most famous building with Doric columns. The Temple of
Athens on the Acropolis is the most famous Ionic building. The Temple of the Sybil in Rome is a
good example of Corinthian

Indie Music Research Paper
Alternative music is a subgenre of rock music, which emerged from indie music in the 1980 s,
and has since gained a lot of popularity. The word alternative in the dictionary translates to
unconventional, uncommon, and non standard, which is so cool because all the music is under
the same genre umbrella, but none of the bands sound the same at all, and I like to think of it as
the melting pot of music. Since each band has a different style it is likely you ll be able to find
something you enjoy. It originated from bands who didn t have a major record label, and they
instead signed to smaller labels as that was much easier to do. The songs are so diverse which is
nice because a lot of popular artists music sounds the same. The lyricism of alternative... Show

and the internet, made it easier for music to be shared, concert videos could be viewed online, as
well as music videos, and albums. The internet is an important factor in sharing and discovering
new bands. The only problem for small indie bands is how hard it is for them to find their
footing without local support, and local record stores to share their music (Kruse). Record stores
are great places for you to find information about upcoming concerts, find old records, and
discover new bands. A popular concert venue in Salt Lake is actually located at a small park
downtown and every Thursday night in the summer, since 2005, the park hosts smaller bands, and
the tickets, no matter who the artist is are 5 dollars a piece. The concerts are well attended and are

The Epic Epics Of Antiquity
From the Homeric epics of antiquity to Shakespeare s plays in the seventeenth century stories
have long been used as a way to express commentary on and examine societal issues. Today s
social commentary becomes even more dynamic as we now also use visual mediums such as
television and movies as ways to convey these stories and they often work in conjunction with
literature via adaptations. Perhaps the greatest illustration of this cross market, storytelling are
comic book adaptations as seen with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which spans across not only
movies, but has expanded to also include multiple television shows. Last April, Marvel s years of
story building that spread over multiple movies came to a head with the blockbuster... Show more

The narrative device of Project Insight correlates with fears over domestic spying and in film this
is taken to the next level as it s revealed to be part of a larger plot of the movie s villain Alexander
Pierce to kill thousands. The idea of control over the national security apparatus is weaved
throughout the movie and is one of the central themes throughout Captain America: The Winter
Soldier , and I agree with the belief that the narrative neglects the pertinent question of whether
or not we should even have and use these technologies to begin with (Rosenberg). Another point
from the article that really digs in at some of the failings of Captain America: The Winter Soldier
relates back to the concept of trust in the main characters. We are supposed to be fine with Fury s
choice to shoot Pierce because we trust him. And when Steve, Romanoff, and Fury send the
Project Insight helicarriers into deadly crashes, we are not supposed to be bothered by the
massive, indiscriminate loss of life they just caused both because they are our heroes, and because
the movie tells us that everyone on board is a bad guy. Captain America: The Winter Soldier at
least avoids the destruction so many blockbusters visit on major cities with

Cardiologist Research Paper
The number one cause of death in America is cardiovascular diseases. Cardiologists and cardiac
surgeons fight the diseases by treating the patient s heart. Cardiologists are doctors who treat
patients with heart and blood vessel diseases. Cardiac surgeons perform surgeries on patients with
heart and blood vessel diseases that s reached a stage where surgeryis necessary. Cardiac surgeons
are referred to by cardiologists when the patient s symptoms need to be treated on by surgery.
Heart professionals have to go through many years of school in order to become a doctor that
works with hearts. In order to become a cardiologist or cardiac surgeon they must earn a doctor of
medicine degree and license. Cardiologists education after earning a medical license begins with
practicing internal medicine followed with certification and a fellowship. First, Brunot explains,

make surgical procedures more efficient, quicker, and easier. Cardiac surgeons perform procedures
using tools and machines that help cure heart diseases or make the heart function better. Next,
Brunot states, Cardiac surgeons operate on patients with heart issues using machines (Brunot). A

A Temporary Matter
Introduction
A Temporary Matter was originally published in the New Yorker in April 1998 and is the first
story in Jhumpa Lahiri s debut collection, Interpreter of Maladies (1999). The collection won the
2000 Pulitzer Prize for fiction, a rare achievement for a short story collection.
The story takes place over five days, beginning March 19, at the suburban Boston home of a
married couple, Nadia and Ali. During this week, when they must cope with a one hour power
outage each evening, the grief and alienation that the two have suffered since the stillbirth of their
child six months earlier builds to a climax.
Plot Summary
The story opens with Nadia, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He decides to tell Nadia something he had vowed to himself that he would never tell her. Nadia
does not know that Ali held their baby at the hospital while she slept. Nadia does not even know
the baby s gender and has said that she is glad that she has no knowledge about the lost child. Ali
tells Nadia that the baby was a girl and goes on to describe her appearance in detail, including that
the baby s hands were closed into fists the way Nadia s are when she sleeps. Ali leaves the room
and Nadia is shown with a teardrop falling from her eye.
Characters
Nadia
Nadia is a thirty two year old woman who is married to Ali. She is tall and broad shouldered. She
fell in love with Ali during college time and later married him and moved with him to a new house.
Nadia works in an advertising agency and sometimes takes on extra work for home. She works out
at a gym regularly.
Six months before the time of the story, Nadia s first child was stillborn. This tragedy has
changed her habits and her relationship with her husband. While she was formerly a neat and
enthusiastic housekeeper and cook, she has become careless about the house and has stopped
cooking. She previously had the habit of being prepared for anything, ranging from last minute
guests and daily life surprises. Now she likes spending more time at work and even keeps herself
busy in work at home. Nadia s character transformed immensely after the child

Brand Strategy and Imc
Brand strategy and integrated marketing communication (IMC): a case study of player s cigarette...
Integrated marketing communication (IMC) is defined as a cross functional process for creating
and nourishing profitable relationships with customers and other stakeholders by strategically
controlling or influencing all messages sent to these groups and encouraging data driven,
purposeful dialogue with them (Duncan 2002, p. 8). To better understand the real world
application of IMC, a call has been made for case histories that focus on IMC best practices (see
Duncan and Mulhern 2004, p. 19). In this paper, we provide a case study that demonstrates how
one company Imperial Tobacco Limited (ITL), which is Canada s largest tobacco... Show more

Other authors have related IMC to the decline in perceived effectiveness of television advertising,
which encouraged organizations to divert resources toward a variety of other media (e.g., Duncan
and Everett 1993; Kitchen and Schultz 1999; Rust and Oliver 1994). For the tobacco industry and
companies such as ITL, regulated restrictions on access to different media further compelled them
to seek a variety of nontraditional media. The case study of ITL and the Player s trademark is
particularly interesting because the legal and political environment facing the firm has seemingly
accelerated its move toward an IMC mind set and structure.
Conceptually, IMC provides a useful theoretical context for illustrating the image development of
particular cigarette brands, particularly in the context of understanding how tobacco companies
attempt to use recurrent themes and strategies when making the transition from one mode of
promotion to another. We acknowledge that IMC is not simply a multimedia coordinated campaign,
and Duncan and Mulhern (2004) have noted that IMC is more than just tactical consistency, usually
referred to as one voice, one look. Organizations can achieve an execution that is consistent and
appears to have integrated marketing communications, but the essence of the IMC movement is a
call to make marketing communication more effective through greater tactical coordination anda
strong brand strategy that

Techniques Louis de BerniГЁres Uses to Portray the Effects...
What techniques does Louis de BerniГЁres use to portray the effects of the war so powerfully?
Louis de BerniГЁres uses many techniques to portray the effects of the war as powerfully as he
does. He uses techniques that vary from use of language, to using the diary of a homosexual
soldier. In the in between there are other techniques such as: contrast of the good and bad effects of
the war; death, from the inside and the outside; or showing feelings from soldiers instead of
numbers and figures.
From my point of view, the use of language is the technique that sticks out the most. He uses all
sorts of words, meanings, effects and even languages! Just as he uses sarcasm everywhere: War is a
wonderful thing. In movies and in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The power of the words, and the roughness of what they are telling makes the reader feel
incredibly impressed by the cruelty of war, and the courage of soldiers. The fact that the use of
language is the most effective technique is perfectly logical, as words are the ones in charge of
putting the message through, and thanks to these words and the way in which they were used, the
reader gets a real, touching and effective feeling of how the war was. Of course, using different
languages instead of translating names of places and people gave even more sense of reality and
the reader felt more in touch with the characters and with the story being narrated.
However, another technique Louis de BerniГЁres used when writing
Captain CorelliВґs Mandolin that really struck me, was the diary of a homosexual, Carlo Guercio.
This can be described as the human part of the war. It just talks about the feelings and experiences
of a soldier. What Carlo talks about is touching, moreover the way in which
Louise de BerniГЁres puts himself into a homosexual soldierВґs position is amazing. He uses
homosexual eyes to make us see the inside of a war in the most original way. Homosexuals are not
supposed to be very masculine, therefore it is not very common for homosexuals to recruit, but also
thanks to the fact that it is a homosexual narrating, we get a better sense of what the feelings

Tom Buchanan Quotes For Gatsby s Death
It was the last days of summer. The atmosphere began to change, leaves falling, and the sky the
perfect crisp blue like a never ending ocean. Gatsby decided it was the perfect day to take a dip
in the pool, since he hadn t used it all summer. But, that dream was unfortunately brought to a
fatal end. Do you know what it s like to be shot? Do you know what it s like to drown in your
own pool of blood? Your body sinking to the bottom as the water engulfs you. Your lungs now
only filled with blood, and only thing you can do is lie in the abyss of your death. This is
Gatsby s story as he was killed in his own home. You may ask, Who would do such a thing,
killing a innocent man? And, on top of that to kill him in his beautiful home? Well I have the
answer for you ladies and gentleman. The person guilty of this monstrous crime is Tom
Buchanan. Tom Buchanan is brute, imperious, and just like his wife Daisy he is a careless man;
crushing and destroying lives in his path. As well, Tom is a cheater; let s not forget he s having
an affair with another woman: Myrtle wilson. Above all Tom Buchanan is a killer. Today I will
be presenting several pieces of evidences that Tom is at fault for the death of Mr. Jay Gatsby. On
the day before Mr. Gatsby s death, Tom and Gatsby along with Nick, Daisy, and Jordan headed out
to the city. When it was time to decide which car to take Tom came up with the idea that Gatsby

ProcessResponse to Intervention (RTI) is an in school service program designed to guarantee that
all students are getting a high quality education. Before students are referred for special education
services, it is essential that they receive effective teaching designed to meet their own learning
requirements. All students in public schools are required to be included in the RTI program.
While the different program may vary from state to state, the basis of the models are the same.

Teachers, during tier one, should closely follow the GREAT guidelines. Teachers are also
expected to differentiate instruction for those who are struggling. Tier two teachers expected to
collect extensive data on the at risk student. Teachers are to collect data not only on information
the student got wrong, but also when they were correct. This aids in a more correct placement, if
needed. The final tier of the RTI process, tier three, is where all the data collection comes into
play. In order for a student to be admitted into tier three, there has to be adequate evidence to
support this claim. The teacher needs to continue to collect data to provide information on
whether or not the student has made progress with the interventions in place. The teacher may
asked to organize the data collected during the previous interventions. The text suggest that the
teacher may be asked to collect this data in the form of a visual aid, such as a bar graph. Process
of Determining if a Student has a Disability and the Responsibilities of the Teacher When all the
tiers of RTI have been utilized, the Students Support Team (SST) decides if the next appropriate
step for the student is a referral to special education. Biased on the information gathered during the
RTI process, the SST will appraise and see if the student meets the criteria for one of the IDEA
categories of disability. The disability or impairment must have an unwanted

Analysis Of Totality And Infinity By Emmanuel Levinas
One of the greatest scholars of the twentieth century is Emmanuel Levinas, but the convolution of
his thinking prevents his work from spreading quickly. Totality and Infinity, a book on exteriority
is one of his articles that have been liked by many readers in the past and recent times. The writer
demonstrates the manner in which subjectivity begins from the idea of perpetuity, and how infinite
is an outcome of the correlation of selfto other. The main purpose of Levinas work is to find out the
dominance of the Other based on the epiphany of the face. According to his work, infinite is the
beginning or foundation of ethicsand, he also declines any ethical intellectualism. Levinas

Because sex can mean different things to different people, any phenomenology of sex should
start by tackling on possible foundational aspects of the experience (Levinas, 108). One the key
aspect is the idea that sexual practice consists of the relations that takes place between to
individuals. Naturally, sexual practice does not need the presence of a second party and in many
cases, sexual experience comprises of many individuals. On the other hand, even in a time when
sex occurs solitarily or among people within the same group, the encounter with another
individual can characterize the experience (Levinas, 108). For example individuals who practice
masturbation do that because of remembering the experience he had with a previous partner. In
his work, Levinas tend to argues that a real ethical relationship can only take place in a situation
whereby the self cannot spin the other into an object of comprehension (Levinas, 108). While not
emphasizing broadly on sex and sexuality, the writer in a few words explicated his opinions on
the issue in late part of this book, where he extended his idea of the face to face ethnic encounter to
matter of Eros and productiveness (Levinas, 108).
Encounter with the Other In the book Totality and Infinity, the writer started by illustrating the self
as a naturally egoist way of life (Levinas, 198). He indicated that

One of the cases that resulted in legacy of Southern Poverty Law Center is that a case of YMCA

The Role Of London Landmarks Of London, And 28 Days Later
London has been a hot location for popular films for a long time. With beautiful scenery and an
amazing atmosphere, London can be the backdrop in any film genre. You can see London as a
city of romance, or you can see London as a dark lonely city. There are so many different
Landmarks that are constantly popping up in many films we enjoy. One can watch a film with no
knowledge of the location, and know that it is London right off the bat. With its beautiful
landmarks and extraordinary streets, London has had screen writers hearts from the start. I chose to

films being An American Werewolf in London, and 28 days later. Both these British films are
extremely different from the films that we have watched in class, and that is why I chose them. An
American Werewolf in London is a British American comedy horror filmwritten and directed by

PTSD can be characterized by both psychological and physical symptoms, and people who suffer

provide too much insight on Buffalo Bill s childhood, but there is implications that Buffalo Bill
had a traumatic childhood. If the film The Silence of the Lambs provided additional information
on Buffalo Bill s childhood, we could have a better understanding of any specific traumatic or
terrifying experiences that lead to the development of Buffalo Bill s PTSD. Dr. Hannibal Lecter
in the film The Silence of the Lambs, tells Detective Clarice Starling Billy was not born a

that he had feelings of anger, self hatred and wanted to kill women so that he could ultimately

The Role Of Women In The 1920s
INTRODUCTION
The motivation behind this research is the big pace the fashion industry had taken from 1910 to
the 1920s , and the interesting thing is that the media had also played a major role in expanding
the idea of the importance of wearing fashionable clothes and having fashionable items ,hairstyles
,automobile etc. And I chose this topic because it also discusses how women started to emerge as a
significant force and how women had started to have major roles in the American societies by
joining the workforce and participating in promoting the idea of new fashion through the media
since then and up until now. Before the 1920s Women rarely found jobs in male dominated fields

women were given a chance to play a role in political issues and women began to have some say in
the direction of their lives. Both single and married women were earning higher paying jobs.
Women were much more than just staying home with their kids and doing house work. They
become independent both financially and literally. Women also earned the right to vote in 1920
after the Nineteenth Amendment was adopted which gave them the liberation they have dreamed
of. They worked hard for the same or greater equality as men. This all happened due to two reasons.
One was the thinning of male population due to World War I and two, the continuing awareness of
the feminist movement. All this brought them closer to their

Analysis Of Saki s The Unrest Cure
This year in Funny Pages, I have learned a considerable amount about the art of Comedy. Some
of the stories we read were such classics as: Twelfth Night, The Lull, Handful of Dust, and the
Unrest Cure. Each of these stories are brilliant and amusing in its own ways. These stories also
have a likeness in the types of humorpracticed. There are several elements that seem to be repeated
throughout such as: satire, characters that represent the spirit of comedyor its enemy, and
In Saki s The Unrest Cure , we read about Mr. James P. Huddle and his extreme affection for

Unprepared Student Athletes
In America, sports have an immense impact not only on our culture but, also on our education
system. As adolescents begin to engage in school sports they are exposed to the multiple privileges
that are associated with being a student athlete. Teachers become more lineate by giving them
special accommodations, like a deadline extension or an omission from an assignment because they
have a big championship or tournament. As a result of the special treatment throughout their
educational careers, many student athletes develop the mentality that they do not have to try as
hard academically as their peers. They believe that they can depend solely on their athletic talents to
get them into college. Fortunately, for student athletes this is true, because,... Show more content on

Studies have shown that special admits typically have not performed as well as other players in the
classroom and pose unique and expensive academic challenges (Barker), and without their sport,
many of these athletes have no business at the academically competitive institution they are let

admission view getting into college as winning the battle (Davidson). Unfortunately, many
college athletes come from disadvantaged and underserved communities where they ve
garnered little to no academic preparation for college (Davidson). As a result of this, the special
admits (Barker) tend to maintain worse college GPAs, graduate at a lower rates (Barker)
compared to their peers. Sadly, the colleges that partake in the special admission process only
care about the money and not the student; at some institutions Coaches have been told many
times, If you don t win, you re going to get fired. I was never told, If you don t graduate players,

their academic needs. For example, Fred Buttler was an outstanding athlete whose academic needs
were often overlooked by his teachers. His mom noticed that he needed extra help and requested
that he be retained to improve his literacy skills but was denied (Lapchick). The teachers continued
to pass Buttler along, forgetting that his wasn t just an athlete but also a student. One day he was

The Jahiliyya Period Versus the Qur anic Period Essay
The concept of Jahiliyya has been widespread throughout the Pre Islamic world. Jahiliyya is
ultimately the act of ignorance. Many people often worshipped idols and obeyed them as if they
were God. Whenever a calamity would befall them, they would immediately turn to the idols and
ask them for assistance. Unknowingly, the people of the Pre Islamic world thought that these
idols possessed the authority to quickly take care of manners in a timely fashion. Many people
who lived in the Pre Islamic world frankly did not know that these idols were incapable of
guiding them in any way, shape, or form. How was poetry significant in the Pre Islamic world?

And far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)! (Surat: Yunus, Qur an 10:18). Due to
their ignorance, they also possessed a sense of arrogance. Allah warns us that he does not like
those who are arrogant because it in turn leads to ignorance. The disbelievers did not feel ashamed
of themselves when they associated other figures with Allah. However, their connection with
poetry allowed them to express their feelings and uncensored lives, freely. They used poetry as a
means of articulating life through a different perspective. Their lack of understanding their purpose
in the worldly life put them at a great disadvantage. Jahiliyya poetry has been widely recognized as
poetry of those who were in a state of bewilderment. Many of them disregarded the message that
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sent to spread, which was ultimately the truth. An analogy that
sums up the lives of those living in the period of Jahiliyya would be, The Elephant in the room,
which virtually refers to something apparent that one disregards. This can be seen as someone
who acknowledges the truth, but decides not to follow it. The people who were part of the

My Interest Of Law Is Most Commonly Seen From Old And...
Law is most commonly seen in old and modern day tv shows with criminal being thrown behind
bars or perhaps in the news with the difficult legal system that no one adheres to anymore,, said
lawyer John Adkins in an interview. My interest in law began when I was a young girl. I would
check out books whose subjects ranged from law in general to actual criminal cases both solved
and unsolved. My mind would drink in all the details from the evidence, to the trial, and finally
to the conviction of the accused. One day, I was allowed to check out a DVD of a solved case in
which the defendant was found not guilty of the sudden and mysterious death of his wife. I was
intrigued by hearing and arguments of both sides. Convinced of the mans guilt, I set out on my
own little investigation which yielded little more than the awakening of my interest then and
there. Unable to disguise my growing interest, I told my mom of my dream to become a lawyer.
She advised me to carefully think of all the schooling required to achieve such a career. Past
studies indicate the bare minimum requirements include a high school diploma, any or all classes
involving government, social studies, and economics, speech courses, technology or computer
classes. After high school, four years of basic college work is required. College classes would have
to cover: liberal arts track, english, history, economics, social studies, logic, public speaking, as
well as agriculture and political science. Law school

Essay on Historical Roles of Men and Women in Leadership
While analyzing professions held by men verses those held by women through history, the concept
of history that needs to be observed is a vast period of time. For if all or most of known history
about humans is not taken into consideration, then much of present day analysis of leadership
gender roles might actually start to make sense. The previous sentence was not an error in thought
or printing. Much of modern analysis of genderperspectives in leadership and the roles of men and

equality, which has taken place to get to where we are at present day. The key word is evolution;

To analyze the many histories of people, a person must look to the historical aspects of that
particular culture. The culture of any one group of people is usually passed down through
generations via family and community. Whether the culture is nomadic tribal peoples of Mongolia
or a modern day Roman Catholic Italian American family, the culture and its typical roles for men
and women are passed along through each community. Tradition is also a source to be traced when
looking at a group s historical gender role development. A people s culture will usually go hand in
hand with their traditional values. These interlaced values of culture and tradition unite and bind
families as well as communities together with one another. When traditions are passed along from
one generation to another, sometimes the idea of questioning said traditions never enters ones
mind. Some people are taught that this is just what you are supposed to do, while others do not
want to buck the current culture. This being said, whatever role a person s gender might have
played in their parents life, that role will probably be the same or very similar in that person s life.
Yet another thread that is interlaced with a people s history and culture is that long, entangling
string of religion.

Essay Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial
Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial
The controlled and randomized double blind trials refer to a situation in which a medicine
investigator is not familiar with the nature of a drug. The term may also mean that a scientist
does not realize that a drug is being tested maybe for certain diseases. Such medicines may be
under surveillance, and they are only administered in a small prescribed amount in case of any

Some of the initial researches were made to assess mesmerism, and were strictly performed with
blindfolds. The application of blind evaluation had been implemented by the 19th century by
homeopaths, and by early 14th century, was regulated by psychical investigators and
psychologists. However, in the 1930s, the capacity of blind methods merged with no cure control

subsequent to World War II did blind tests in unsystematic controlled assessment became a typical

In medication and psychology, blind testing began as prevention against the unconventional, but its

In relation to the poem, Steinbeck s character Lennie represents both mouse and man. He is the man

Intrinsic Value Of The Cvs Health Corporation
Introduction
For this project analysis I will attempt to calculate the intrinsic value of the CVS Health
Corporation by conducting a two stage DCF company level valuation analysis, I will compare my
results to the current market capitalization of the company as shown on the Yahoo Finance web
page. Finally, I will perform a sensitivity analysis using variables such as free cash flow, terminal
growth rate and WACC.
Calculate intrinsic Value of your Company: Discount cash flow method This is an important
valuation method used to estimate the desirability of an investment opportunity. Discounted cash
flow (DCF) analysis uses future free cash flow projections and discounts them (using the weighted
average cost of capital) to arrive at a present value. The calculated present value is then used to
evaluate the potential for investment. For this project, the DCF analysis will be used to evaluate
the intrinsic value of the CVS health corporation ( DCF, n.d.).
Intrinsic Value of CVS Health Corporation:
The intrinsic value of a company is what the company is actually worth. As mentioned above, to
calculate the Intrinsic Value of CVS Health Corporation, I will use the two stage company level
Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) valuation model.
The intrinsic value for CVS Health (minus debt) is calculated as 78,750,096,600 dollars (78.75
Billion dollars). The intrinsic value was calculated using free cash flow, WACC for CVS, growth
rate and all other pertinent valuation measures (yahoo

Is Canada A Liberal Democracy
What is a liberal democracy?
Liberal democracy, otherwise known as a Representative democracy , is a political ideology and
form of government; most commonly found in western countries. The ideal outcome of a liberal
democracy is seen as a completely democratic and equal society. A liberal democracy is
characterized by some key features that attempt to ensure a free and fair country for all those who
reside there, said characteristics include; separation of powers, free, fair and competitive elections,
checks balances, protection of human rights, civil rights, etc. and a rule of law.
A Liberal democracy may take different constitutional forms, for example; Australia is a

with the subject of this essay; Canada!

Organization (WHO) 1 published the report, Pneumonia: The forgotten killer of children which
identified pneumonia as one of the world s leading causes of childhood mortality accounting for
one in five under five deaths. The fourth Millennium Development Goal (MDG) from the 2000
summit is to reduce under five mortality rate by two thirds by 20151. With its significant
contribution to under five mortality, reduction of the childhood pneumonia mortality is essential to
achieving this goal. Over the last two decades there has been significant progress in reduction of
childhood pneumonia deaths with 58% less deaths occurring globally in 20132. However,
pneumonia still accounts for about 19% of childhood under five deaths and contributes significantly
to morbidity and disability among children globally. Majority of these pneumonia related deaths
occur in developing countries and are concentrated in a few countries1,2. In 2013, over half of the
under five pneumonia deaths occurred in 10 countries located in sub Saharan Africa, South Asia
and South east Asia1,2. Successful interventions for the reduction in childhood pneumonia
mortality include: protecting child health by ensuring adequate nutrition and hygiene, prevention of
pneumonia by immunization against causative pathogens, reducing indoor air pollution and
optimizing access to prompt treatment of pneumonia1 3. The World Health Organization

Celiac Disease
Dascha C. Weir, MD
Ciaran Kelly, MD
Celiac disease (CD) is an immune mediated enteropathy secondary to permanent sensitivity to
wheat gluten and related proteins in rye and barley. It results in characteristic histologic changes
consisting of inflammation, crypt hyperplasia, and villous atrophy of the small intestine in
genetically susceptible individuals. Significant variability in the clinical presentation of
CD in the pediatric population complicates recognition of the disease in many patients. Treatment
for CD consists of a lifelong strict gluten free diet (GFD). Adherence to this diet is associated with
resolution of most related signs and symptoms and a decreased risk of related complications. With

A large center in New York City reported that African Americans comprised 1.3% of their patients
with biopsy proven CD.6 This is likely partially because of genetic differences in these populations.
However, given the increasing recognition of CD in non Caucasian populations internationally,
serious consideration should be

given to the possibility of underdiagnosis in minority populations in the United States.
CD is being increasingly diagnosed in other parts of the world, involving populations that were not
traditionally thought to be affected by the disease. Reports from Mexico, South America,
North India, the Middle East, Turkey, and North
Africa have changed previous assumptions that
CD is a European affliction.7 15 CD is rare in people of Japanese, Chinese, and purely
AfricanCaribbean descent.16
CD is associated with several autoimmune conditions and genetic disorders and often presents
atypically or silently in these populations. In children, it is associated with autoimmune thyroid
disease and with type I diabetes mellitus with a 7.8 and 4.5% prevalence of CD in affected
children.17,18 Up to 7% of patients with a selective IgA deficiency also have CD.19 Patients with
Trisomy 21, Turner syndrome, and Williams syndrome have also been found to be at higher

The Role Of Computer Technician On The Healthcare Industry
In this day and age computers play a key role in our daily activities and lives overall. Computers
are especially critical to the success of large, medium, and small businesses. For example, in the
Healthcare industry computers are used daily to track patient care. In order to gain a better
understanding of how computers are used in the Healthcare industry, an interview was conducted
with an IT Professional working for a Contract Research Organization (CRO) focusing on Clinical

During the image creation process the computer technician runs the Windows 7 installation wizard,
which formats and partitions the hard drive of the computer. To review the disk partitions and
formatting after installation the computer technician can open Computer Management... Disk

BitLocker will be reviewed later under the Security section.
Following Windows 7 installation there are several configuration options changed to control what
the user is allowed to do on the computer once they receive it. One configuration change applied

computer technician can also change operating system configurations through other Control Panel
utilities. Although this is not recommended, the computer technician can use the Windows Registry
tool called regedit.exe to manipulate configuration settings.
To ensure the user of the computer remains productive the operating system must be maintained,
updated, secured and protected by IT. In order to maintain the operating system there

The Characteristics Of Pride In Arthur Miller s The Crucible
For many years there was a struggle in the Puritans community on trying to find where the devil was
hiding, and who were the witches in the town that brought the devil to the community. The courts

because they were innocent children who were believed to have faced the devil head on.
Throughout the play of the, The Crucible the story unfolds into tragic deaths and situations that test
each individual character. With each individual intertwined together they showed strong
characteristics for the truth, but they never stood up to say the events were wrong therefore the

and yet they were still questioned. Some of the characters were to prideful to admit these
actions were wrong. Secondly the jealousy inside this play was one of the strongest roles to
make the story what it was. Jealousy symbolizes how the trials started and also why so many
people were killed for false accusations. Characters such as Abigail had a huge jealous streak

and best selling female singers in pop music industry who has been on stage since the early
1990s. As a pop diva Mariah has earned a contrasting reputation. The pop star can be considered as
an extraordinarily talented person who with the power of her voice can convey the emotional
nuances of the music to her audience (Moohan, 2008, 163) and has extravagantly behavior and

complex of qualities: her significant voice, her songs authorship, image development, presentation
in video clips and on the media. First of all, it is important to point out that the singer possesses an
exceptionally beautiful voice, high soprano (Vincent, 2017), with the ability to sing in an

  • 2. Ancient Egypt Geography 1.Give the geographical location of ancient Egypt from the general to the specifics of north, south, east and west. Ans: The geography of Ancient Egyptian was an interesting concept from the perspective of the ancient Egyptians themselves. They believed their country was divided into two distinct geographical sections, the black land known as the fertile banks of the river Nile and the red land which is known as the barren desert that covered the rest of the country. Ancient Egypt was in North Eastern Africa, which were formed and flourished along the lower portion of the Nile River. It is made up most of what is now the modern Arab Republic of Egypt. Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are the three main column styles developed by the ancient Greeks. These column styles still are used in buildings today. Doric is the simplest Greek column. The column is plain, and it has no base. Doric columns often had statues of gods or heroes on top of them. Ionic is taller than the Doric, and its surface has carved lines from top to bottom. The base of an Ionic column looks like a stack of rings, and the capital on top of the column looks like a giant scroll. Corinthian, like Ionic, has carved lines from top to bottom on its surface and a base that looks like a stack of rings. The capital of Corinthian columns, however, has flowers and leaves below a small scroll, making Corinthian columns the most decorative of all the Greek column types. Doric is the shortest of the Greek columns. The height of a Doric column is five and a half times its width. The height of an Ionic column is nine times the width of the column. The height of a Corinthian column is 10 times its width, making it the tallest of the Greek columns. The Parthenon in Athens, Greece, is the most famous building with Doric columns. The Temple of Athens on the Acropolis is the most famous Ionic building. The Temple of the Sybil in Rome is a good example of Corinthian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Indie Music Research Paper Alternative music is a subgenre of rock music, which emerged from indie music in the 1980 s, and has since gained a lot of popularity. The word alternative in the dictionary translates to unconventional, uncommon, and non standard, which is so cool because all the music is under the same genre umbrella, but none of the bands sound the same at all, and I like to think of it as the melting pot of music. Since each band has a different style it is likely you ll be able to find something you enjoy. It originated from bands who didn t have a major record label, and they instead signed to smaller labels as that was much easier to do. The songs are so diverse which is nice because a lot of popular artists music sounds the same. The lyricism of alternative... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The internet is an important factor in sharing and discovering new bands. The only problem for small indie bands is how hard it is for them to find their footing without local support, and local record stores to share their music (Kruse). Record stores are great places for you to find information about upcoming concerts, find old records, and discover new bands. A popular concert venue in Salt Lake is actually located at a small park downtown and every Thursday night in the summer, since 2005, the park hosts smaller bands, and the tickets, no matter who the artist is are 5 dollars a piece. • 4. The Epic Epics Of Antiquity From the Homeric epics of antiquity to Shakespeare s plays in the seventeenth century stories have long been used as a way to express commentary on and examine societal issues. Today s social commentary becomes even more dynamic as we now also use visual mediums such as television and movies as ways to convey these stories and they often work in conjunction with literature via adaptations. Perhaps the greatest illustration of this cross market, storytelling are comic book adaptations as seen with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which spans across not only movies, but has expanded to also include multiple television shows. The idea of control over the national security apparatus is weaved throughout the movie and is one of the central themes throughout Captain America: The Winter Soldier , and I agree with the belief that the narrative neglects the pertinent question of whether or not we should even have and use these technologies to begin with (Rosenberg). Another point from the article that really digs in at some of the failings of Captain America: The Winter Soldier relates back to the concept of trust in the main characters. We are supposed to be fine with Fury s choice to shoot Pierce because we trust him. And when Steve, Romanoff, and Fury send the Project Insight helicarriers into deadly crashes, we are not supposed to be bothered by the massive, indiscriminate loss of life they just caused both because they are our heroes, and because the movie tells us that everyone on board is a bad guy. Integrated marketing communication (IMC) is defined as a cross functional process for creating and nourishing profitable relationships with customers and other stakeholders by strategically controlling or influencing all messages sent to these groups and encouraging data driven, purposeful dialogue with them (Duncan 2002, p. 8). To better understand the real world application of IMC, a call has been made for case histories that focus on IMC best practices (see Duncan and Mulhern 2004, p. 19). In this paper, we provide a case study that demonstrates how one company Imperial Tobacco Limited (ITL), which is Canada s largest tobacco... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other authors have related IMC to the decline in perceived effectiveness of television advertising, which encouraged organizations to divert resources toward a variety of other media (e.g., Duncan and Everett 1993; Kitchen and Schultz 1999; Rust and Oliver 1994). For the tobacco industry and companies such as ITL, regulated restrictions on access to different media further compelled them to seek a variety of nontraditional media. The case study of ITL and the Player s trademark is particularly interesting because the legal and political environment facing the firm has seemingly accelerated its move toward an IMC mind set and structure. Conceptually, IMC provides a useful theoretical context for illustrating the image development of particular cigarette brands, particularly in the context of understanding how tobacco companies attempt to use recurrent themes and strategies when making the transition from one mode of promotion to another. We acknowledge that IMC is not simply a multimedia coordinated campaign, and Duncan and Mulhern (2004) have noted that IMC is more than just tactical consistency, usually referred to as one voice, one look. Organizations can achieve an execution that is consistent and appears to have integrated marketing communications, but the essence of the IMC movement is a call to make marketing communication more effective through greater tactical coordination anda strong brand strategy that ... Louis de BerniГЁres uses many techniques to portray the effects of the war as powerfully as he does. He uses techniques that vary from use of language, to using the diary of a homosexual soldier. In the in between there are other techniques such as: contrast of the good and bad effects of the war; death, from the inside and the outside; or showing feelings from soldiers instead of numbers and figures. The power of the words, and the roughness of what they are telling makes the reader feel incredibly impressed by the cruelty of war, and the courage of soldiers. The fact that the use of language is the most effective technique is perfectly logical, as words are the ones in charge of putting the message through, and thanks to these words and the way in which they were used, the reader gets a real, touching and effective feeling of how the war was. Of course, using different languages instead of translating names of places and people gave even more sense of reality and the reader felt more in touch with the characters and with the story being narrated. However, another technique Louis de BerniГЁres used when writing Captain CorelliВґs Mandolin that really struck me, was the diary of a homosexual, Carlo Guercio. This can be described as the human part of the war. It just talks about the feelings and experiences of a soldier. What Carlo talks about is touching, moreover the way in which Louise de BerniГЁres puts himself into a homosexual soldierВґs position is amazing. He uses homosexual eyes to make us see the inside of a war in the most original way. The final tier of the RTI process, tier three, is where all the data collection comes into play. In order for a student to be admitted into tier three, there has to be adequate evidence to support this claim. Because sex can mean different things to different people, any phenomenology of sex should start by tackling on possible foundational aspects of the experience (Levinas, 108). Naturally, sexual practice does not need the presence of a second party and in many cases, sexual experience comprises of many individuals. On the other hand, even in a time when sex occurs solitarily or among people within the same group, the encounter with another individual can characterize the experience (Levinas, 108). Law is most commonly seen in old and modern day tv shows with criminal being thrown behind bars or perhaps in the news with the difficult legal system that no one adheres to anymore,, said lawyer John Adkins in an interview. My interest in law began when I was a young girl. I would check out books whose subjects ranged from law in general to actual criminal cases both solved and unsolved. My mind would drink in all the details from the evidence, to the trial, and finally to the conviction of the accused. One day, I was allowed to check out a DVD of a solved case in which the defendant was found not guilty of the sudden and mysterious death of his wife. I was intrigued by hearing and arguments of both sides. Convinced of the mans guilt, I set out on my own little investigation which yielded little more than the awakening of my interest then and there. Unable to disguise my growing interest, I told my mom of my dream to become a lawyer. She advised me to carefully think of all the schooling required to achieve such a career. Past studies indicate the bare minimum requirements include a high school diploma, any or all classes involving government, social studies, and economics, speech courses, technology or computer classes. To analyze the many histories of people, a person must look to the historical aspects of that particular culture. The culture of any one group of people is usually passed down through generations via family and community. Whether the culture is nomadic tribal peoples of Mongolia or a modern day Roman Catholic Italian American family, the culture and its typical roles for men and women are passed along through each community. Tradition is also a source to be traced when looking at a group s historical gender role development. A people s culture will usually go hand in hand with their traditional values. These interlaced values of culture and tradition unite and bind families as well as communities together with one another. When traditions are passed along from one generation to another, sometimes the idea of questioning said traditions never enters ones mind. Finally, I will perform a sensitivity analysis using variables such as free cash flow, terminal growth rate and WACC. Calculate intrinsic Value of your Company: Discount cash flow method This is an important valuation method used to estimate the desirability of an investment opportunity. Discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis uses future free cash flow projections and discounts them (using the weighted average cost of capital) to arrive at a present value.
