GVAHEC Staff Meeting
For this week internship, I have attended GVAHEC staff meeting on Monday September 11 at
apache Junction location. They usually do staff meeting every first Monday of the month to discuss
about their organization, but for this month, they had to postponed the meeting to the second
Monday of the month due to unavailability of some staff members. The purpose of the meeting was
to discuss how to make the organization function better. One thing that they focused on during the
meeting was the sponsorship opportunity. They want to look for more agencies that can fund their

Today s younger generations tend to think of Charles Xavier and Jean Grey when the phrase
mind over matter is involved. Charles and Jean are two very power mutants with extraordinary

over matter might be like that others tend to be much simpler than that. The idea of telekinesis

The Marginalization Of Aborial Schools
In these residential schools many students were abused, tortured, raped, starved this is just a
glimpse into the inhumane treatment children faced. Native language was forbidden in the
residential schools. The state forced students to speak English at the residential schools and if they
did not they were reinforced with harsh punishments. Since aboriginals were seen as savages it was
important to the state and church to eliminate aboriginal language and make them cultured people.
Brass explains that, children in residential schools more than likely felt inferior because they could
only speak their language when family came this way they would learn English faster (1987: 6).
Destroying and dismantling native culture through residential schools has left survivors with
socially impaired and cultural damage. Euro centric views of the Canadian state has impacted
aboriginal communities because many children today are unaware of what their mother tongue is
creating a marginalized effect these communities. The governmenttoday hasn t done much to
compensate the linguicide of aboriginal societies. When a genocide or linguicide is not properly
recognized it leaves a feeling of being second class citizens because their losses are not dealt with

Minutia points represent positions where friction ridges end abruptly or where a ridge branches into
two or many more ridges. A typical good quality fingerprint template contains 20 70 minutiae
points; the actual number depends on the size of the finger sensor surface and how the user places
his or her finger on the sensor. The system stores the minutiae information position and direction
along with the user s demographic information as a template in the enrollment database. During the
identification phase, the user puts the finger on the same sensor, generating a new fingerprint image
or template called query print. Minutiae points are carried out from the query print, and the matcher
module compares the set of query minutia with the stored minutia templates or image in the
enrollment database to find the number of similar minutia points. Because of variations present in
finger placement and pressure applied to the sensor, the minutia points take out from the template
and query fingerprints must be lined up, or submitted before matching. After line up the
fingerprints, the matcher decides the number of pairs of matching minutiae two minutiae points
