Methodology For Children Related Public Expenditure And...
Methodology for Children Related Public Expenditure and Institutional Reviews
There are a number of events that have increased attention on the allocation of public expenditure
(public finance) in the last few years, but the most important factors that have affected developing
countries are:
Overall, the global economic and financial crisis has put pressure on governments around the world to
cut spending, deficits and debts, and allocate scarce public resources more effectively and efficiently
to achieve the goals of poverty reduction, economic growth and sustainable development.
As a result of the global crisis that has hit the richest countries the most, donor resources have also
shrunk and donor conditionality has become more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This work has spawned various specialized PERs such as UNDP s Climate Public Expenditure and
Institutional Reviews (CPEIR) which focus on climate change finance and UNICEF s Child Focused
Public Expenditure Reviews which focus on child related public expenditure (I have been able to
identify only three Child focused PERs which have been conducted in Macedonia, Gabon and the
Republic of Central Africa).
Despite the heightened concern, there is no standard or unified framework or methodology for
carrying out public expenditure analysis. A review of the WB s PERs has found that there is no
consistency in PER s methodology and quality. Many PERs did not use explicit criteria for analyzing
public spending or did not analyze relevant expenditure categories (i.e. major programs within
sectors). More importantly, many of them did not analyze institutional processes and did not follow up
to build government capacity. Over time, the WB has strengthened the PER methodology and their
quality has substantially increased. UNDP (in cooperation with ODI) is also trying to strengthen the
methodology for the conduct of CPEIRs and their ownership by client governments.
Given the increased attention and funding that children issues have received over time, public
spending directly or indirectly related to the achievement of children s rights and wellbeing has
become an important part of public expenditure. Therefore, a detailed analysis of children related
expenditures in national

Lifetime Show Analysis
Back in the summer of 2015, I was directed to a new Lifetime show called UnREAL, and because one
of my favorite actors, Brennan Elliott, was going to be on it, I knew I had to be an active member of
the audience. Although I was aware that I was leaping out of my comfort zone to watch this show, I
didn t plan on becoming quite so invested in the characters and the storyline that I anticipated season
two (and soon, season three) with great delectation. What began as a sort of grandstand for Host
Graham evolved into so much more. In the role of the devious, manipulative Chet, I was introduced to
the stupendous work of Craig Bierko. Due to our busy schedules, we only recently had the opportunity
to exchange a simpe Q A, and I am so grateful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While many actors may often wonder if their fans will find their story entertaining, I rarely find a tale
that doesn t resonate with the fans, myself included, to some degree. And in the case of Craig, that is
precisely the case. I never would have pegged him as a musical sort of person (I am still in the early
stages of my exploration of the works of this multi talented guy), and there is no doubt from the
detailing of his roles, his work and his outlook on his life and career that he is humble, pragmatic and
benevolent. He doesn t see himself as a superstar, and in that case, he appears to be the antithesis of
this resplendently disreputable character he plays on UnREAL. I am always convinced that shows that
receive such wide acclaim must have a core group of cast and crew that dispose of their egos, labor
without complaint, and become a sort of extended family. Viewers constantly connect with shows in
which the people portraying the roles are genuine and down to earth, and it would appear that Craig is
all that and more. His explantion of how he approaches his character was a delcious description for me
to savor, and it is clear that he knows what his role is within the production, and he does it darn well! I
would invite everyone to check out Craig at all the links below, and even if UnREAL is not your cup
of tea, consider checking

Literary Interpretation In Kich By Carolyn Kizer s Bitch
Carolyn Kizer s Bitch is describing the unnamed woman s feelings towards an ex lover from an
unspecified time in the past, which she has just encountered. The woman was extremely hurt by the ex
and has a lot of anger deep inside towards this person, but does not want to demonstrate it. The main
image is the speaker and the ex lover running into one another and catching up. Now, when he and I
meet, after all these years, I say to the bitch in me, don t start growling. (Kizer 1,2). The tone of the
poem is angry, sad, and reflects a relationship where she was hurt and misses the other person. The
woman tries to control her inner feelings when she encounters the man, concealing her true feelings
with polite conversation. Just by the tone of her inner feelings, you can see the woman thinks the man
from her past caused her harm. The woman of Carolyn Kizer s Bitch provides a satiric interpretation
of a typical meeting between her and an ex lover since the end of their relationship. In a single, thirty
four line stanza, the woman participates in a witty monologue that displays a ideally ironic division:
the woman s two coinciding but opposite interchanges, one entailing of the woman s external
conversation with her former lover and the other of silent warnings, threats, and clarifications to her
inner self, represented in the poem as a bitch. The speaker is camouflaging compelling emotions with
external civility. While the hiding of true feelings is an everyday

Metropolis Movie Essay
Joseph Spencer is the observer of the movie. Metropolis is directed by Fritz Lang; Metropolis mostly
fits under the science fiction and drama genres. Metropolis was released in 1927 (IMDb). Metropolis

I Am Legend, Minority Report
In today s society, we continually live in fear that something catastrophic is waiting right around the
corner. The genre of science fiction has made that fear even more prominent in today s society with a
plethora of movies showing a dystopian world. Popular movies like The Hunger Games bring viewers
into a world where two people every year must fight to death to show their superiority and to earn
their freedom much like roman times in the coliseum. Hunger Games isn t the first movie to play on
this fear though. I Am Legend, Minority Report, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers are movies
specifically created to bring fear and discontentment to the human mind by feeding the fear of the
unknown. The 2007 movie I Am Legend is the story of a man named Robert Neville who was thought
to be the last human earth due to a viral outbreak. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The idea that big brother is watching everything and has control is brought to life in this movie.
Precrime is program administered by the government that includes individuals who are precognizant
and can see crimes before they happen. The drastic measures of arresting someone before they commit
crime has managed to prevent a murder in the city of Washington DC for 6 years. (Cohen) Before the
program can be released outside of DC character John Anderton is faced with a conflict when he
thinks of murdering the person who supposedly killed his son. Now this employee of Precrime is on
the run for his life. The idea that the government has too much power over us is nothing new. This is a
fear that has plagued our nation since it s creation. People want freedom and the ability to make their
own choices regardless of the consequences but when tragic events happen the mindset of the citizen
can shift. After 9/11 citizens were willing to blindly follow the government s decree for retribution as
demonstrated by the Patriot Act.

Body Systems Worksheet
This year seventh grade science was a significant fascinating year. I was delighted learning numerous
subjects, for example, minerals, rock types, the human body system and how it functions, the heart,
invertebrates, chemicals and chemistry, and so on. I took in a great deal from science labs, books,
review sheets, and powerpoints (that Ms.Castonguay made). The subjects that were in the course book
helped me understand more about the lesson we were learning. I adapted more vocabulary words,
however some perplexing words in the course reading dazed me. The powerpoints, or slideshow was
considerably more accommodating. We needed to fill in the blanks on the worksheet given to us, and
that would help us study for the test. The worksheets printed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Science is indeed a very important subject in life, because it identifies how each and everything
interacts with the environment. I had a great time with my group, and had a great time doing and
testing out labs, thinking deeper in science. I hope to learn planets, and the universe next year in

It Feels Miserable Without You…Almost Like Having You Here
Satire. A trend of the ancient times, following America like a lost a puppy. But where did it come
from? Why did it get started? To answer these questions take a look at satirical historians. They
believe the starting point of satire most likely goes back to many ancient ethnic groups who used it in
rituals. The people believed that their words were just as powerful as their swords, making satire a
thing to be feared. In fact, satire was so extremely feared among the ethnic groups and the people that
if someone was found using it, they would be put to death by fire (Roman). Among those who have
strong influences, Jonathan Swift wrote a wonderful explanation of satire in his preface to The Battle
of the Books. He describes satire as a type ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Swift s use of a parody that the Irish should eat their babies is imitating the intelligence level of some
people who think their ideas are so marvelous, when it is really a terrible suggestion (Swift). Another
parody is found in A Modest Proposal as Swift explains his final statement. He claims . . . [I] have
nothing to gain economically from this proposal . . . This is a parody because it imitates the usual
objections of people who claim to be unselfish in their proposals (Swift). A reversal is a major
technique used in the film Tangled. As Princess Rapunzel uses her unnaturally long hair to bring up
her pretend mother from the tower, it is incredible how far the beautiful golden hair can reach.
However, the fact that Rapunzel has to take care of her mother is simply not natural. Although every
mom wants to feel beautiful and accepted by society, her main concern should be making sure her
daughter feels beautiful and accepted. Many people have the capabilities to stun the rest of the world,
but it is just not a natural thing for a teenage daughter to be taking care of her mother and making her
feel young and wanted. This, above all, is truly daffy and out of proportion.
The picture to the left is a very strong form of satire. There are a few types of satire it could fall under,
but it is typically that of a parody. While most people have

12- “Believers Who Are Amazed By Jesus Tell Others, And
12 Believers who are amazed by Jesus tell others, and they in turn are amazed. When we tell others
about Christ, great things happen through the power of Christ.
18 People who think they are somebody seldom stand in amazement at somebody else. We must learn
not to exalt ourselves, but instead exalt Christ.
20 21 Should we claim to be humble, though, we have already started down the slippery slope of
arrogance. To speak (or write) about humility so that others may learn can itself become a prideful act.
29 30 That s what happens when we meet Jesus and are amazed by him: we go to tell others, including
those who have turned against us. This is how the gospel is spread, through people willingly and

PUTTING ON THE ARMOR: JOURNAL
15 We must know Jesus who is truth in order to wear the belt of truth.
17 Jesus who knew the truth, spoke the truth, and lived the truth is still the Truth today.
20 Perhaps is we focused more on doing good than avoiding wrong, we would make more difference
in our world. This is so true! God does not want people to legalistically obey His commands, instead
He wants them to go out into the world and live for Christ.
30 God not only gives us blessings in the present, but He also guarantees blessings in the future. This
is such a sweet and true statement that speaks to my soul. God is good!

The Types Of Bone Tissue
Bone tissue is a connective tissue with an abundant matrix of intercellular substances that encloses
widely separated cells. The bone matrix is made up of an inorganic component known as mineral salts
that hardens the bone, and an inorganic component collagen fibres and an amorphous mixture called
ground substance, which gives the bone its strength (Tortora, Grabowski 2001). There are three types
of cells that can be found in the bone, they are osteoblasts, osteoclasts and osteocytes. Osteoblasts are
the cells that synthesizes a specialized organic material called osteoid which is important in the build
up of mineralized bone, osteoclasts are relatively larger multi nucleate cells made up of mitochondria
and lysosomes that are responsible for the continuous erosion of bones. Lastly the last cells found in
the bone are osteocytes, these are adult osteoblast cells found in the lacunae that have been surrounded
by mineralized matrix. (Thibodeau, Patton 2003).Osteocytes are responsible for maintaining
metabolism within the bone such as the exchange of nutrients with the blood.
There are four types of bones short bones, long bones, flat bones and irregular bones, which have
different characteristics so at to be able to function effectively. Long bones are greater in length than
width and is made up of varying numbers of ends and a shaft, an example is the humerus which is
located in the arm. Short (sesamond) bones are almost as broad as they are long, such bones can be

The question arose about the cost benefits of treating the tree versus cutting them down. It cost
approximately $43.00 to treat one tree versus the $400.00 to cut the tree down, grind the stump away,
and plant a new tree in its place. Even though many Ash trees have been saved by this treatment, it
was too late for some. So far 10,500 Ash trees have been cut down in the city of Fort Wayne because

Summary Of Bridget Quinn sBroad Strokes
In the reading, Broad Strokes by Bridget Quinn, she emphasizes on the great artists who have made art
history. Each one of the six artists had lived an artistic life. The Artist, Bourgeois, was a French
American who was born In Paris on Christmas day of 1911 and was named after her father (Louis
Bourgeois). Most of her childhood she spent with her mother to help attend to her health. By the age
of ten, she began to draw missing parts of tapestries, and also became an expert in drawing feet and
legs. Bourgeois decided to paint a portrait of a penis in 1968. She called it the Fillette which meant
little girl. Her instructor Fernand Leger had told her you are not a painter. You are a sculptor (pg 129).
So she had decided to give up painting and try sculpting. Her first sculptures were made out of balsa
wood that were tall and abstract, that she would call her personages . Mendieta and Bourgeois had
several things in common. They both were sculptors and they both lost someone that was dear to their
heart. One mother died of a tumor, and the other lost her mother. Mendieta was married to a sculptor
named Carl Andre. She then decided to make sculptures in the landscape, because she no longer had a
motherland that she could turn to. She decided to join with Earth, it helped her feel a closer connection
to her womb. Mendieta made portraits of volcanoes, which implied sex, creation, and vaginal
womblike. She also used gunpowder and blood in the portraits, she wanted her images

The Old Fairy Tale By Charles Perrault And The 1990s Movie...
In everyday life, people are given roles to play; doctors are to heal the wounded, officers are to
maintain order in society and teachers are to guide the youth onto the right path. In the past, each
gender had to behave a certain way, the men were the strong worker of the home, whom provided the
income for the family, while as the women were the gentle angels at home, whom took care of the
children and housework. If the women were to defy these roles, they would be look down upon and be
treated worse. However, time has change, these roles are no longer black and white; there is no longer
a certain way a woman is supposed to act, modern women are depicted differently from the way they
were in the past, this is due to the new norms in society that has been molded throughout time. This
can be proven with the old fairy tale Cinderella by Charles Perrault and the 1990s movie Pretty
Woman directed by Garry Marshall.
To begin with, these two story and film both revolved around a woman who goes through many
challenges and then found the love of their life, but the way they are depicted as are completely
different from each other. Perrault s tale of Cinderella is set during the olden time. The title named
protagonist of this story is portrayed as a pretty young woman whose daily life consisted of
housework and obeying her stepmother whom was quite wicked and haughty (Perrault 16). Cinderella
on the other hand was a woman of parallel goodness and sweetness (Perrault 16) who

Human Performance And Commercial Aircraft Accidents
Human error has been acknowledged as a main contributor to more than 70 percent of commercial and
private aircraft accidents. While characteristically connected with flight procedures, human error has
also recently become a main concern in maintenance practices and air traffic management. Human
factors specialists work with engineers, pilots, and mechanics to apply the latest information about the
interface between human performance and commercial aircraft to help operators develop safety and
efficiency in their daily operations.
About 80 percent of maintenance errors comprise of human factors, according to the Federal Aviation
Administration. The maintenance realm has exceptional human factors matters that are more severe
and longer lasting than elsewhere in aviation. Operators are considering numerous procedures to
combat human factors challenges.
Human factors are endless catchphrases in maintenance operations. Although human factors
maintenance training is not strictly required in the U.S., many U.S. maintenance organizations have
accepted it because they see regulation in the near future, want to conform to the regulations
elsewhere or merely accept the business example.
Why are human conditions, such as fatigue, complacency and distraction, so important? As one expert
put it, if you scratch the surface of a maintenance incident, you re likely to find human factors
concerns. About 80 percent of maintenance mistakes involve human factors, according to Bill

Plainchant Compare And Contrast
The plainchants Viderunt Omnes by Anonymous and O viridissima virga by Hildegard of Bingen are
both compositions that were created during the Medieval Age, also known as the Middle Age. The
purpose of these pieces were to be served usually in Roman Catholic Churches as music of worship.
Although these two songs are known as plainchants, meaning they are usually monophonic and the
melody usually does not change, both pieces have many similarities and differences. In my personal
opinion, I believe that these two piece are more different than they are similar. For example, Viderunt
Omnes is polyphonic for a majority of its duration because it sounds to be sung in unison by a choir
and not by a singular person. O viridissima virga on the other

review this important study. This study examines the correlation between our dream states and our
psychological well being conducted by Nicholas Pesant and Antonio Zadra. They had two hypotheses
they were testing in this study. The first one they tested is does the participants psychological well
being scores correlate with their positive or negative dream characteristics? The second one was
would their dream characteristics change over the two different time periods of the study if the
psychological well being scores reduced? In the main body of this review will be discussing the
method, process, results and a discussion about this study. The first step that was taken was to recruit
the participants . They used the newspaper to announce their series of studies looking for

United States President
The President is not only the head of state and government in the United States; he is also the
Commander in Chief of the armed forces. The President, according to the constitution, is supposed to
be responsible for carrying out and enforcing the laws created by Congress. The executive branch is
made up of many departments. There are fifteen executive departments that are led by a chosen
member. These departments are joined with other agencies like the CIA and EPA to fulfill daily
requirements. The President also appoints more than 50 independent federal commissions, like the
FRB (Federal Reserve Board) or the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as judges,
ambassadors, and other federal offices. The Executive Office of the President consists of the staff
directly linked to the President, along with the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of
the United States Trade Representative. The Executive Branch employs more than 4 million
Americans! The President doesn t have all the power, even though the President has the power to
either sign laws or to veto bills that are made by the Congress. Congress can override a veto with a
two thirds vote from both houses. The Executive Branch talks to other nations, and forms alliances.
The President has the power to negotiate and sign treaties, but it has to be ratified by two thirds of the
Senate. So in the end, you can t completely blame the president for all the world s problems. Blame
your entire government party. The

Airport Air Pollution
E. Testa, C. Giammusso, M. Bruno and P. Maggiore, Analysis of environmental benefits resulting
from use of hydrogen, Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy, vol. 16, pp. 875 890, 2013.
This article is from the Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy and the authors of the article are
from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. The intended audience of this article are the airport
planners and policymakers, who can use this study to define a feasible environmental policy. The
purpose of this study is to explore the potential of hydrogen as a fuel in the airport GSE vehicles in
order to reduce the airport air pollution. The methodology developed for this study compares the direct
emissions and indirect emissions for both diesel and hydrogen technologies. The direct emissions are
produced by combustion fuel and the indirect emissions are related to the production of fuel. In case
of hydrogen technology, proton exchange membrane fuel cells are used to power the GSE vehicles.
The study also includes the investigation of Steam methane reforming and Electrolysis technologies
for the production of gaseous hydrogen at the airport. The various pollutants that are investigated in
this study include carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides etc. The major
inputs used in the study are a number of air transport movements, the aircraft fleet mix, the turnaround
time for handling operations and the ratio of GSE vehicles converted to hydrogen. The

Should Marriage for Same Sex Couples be Legal in United...
Marriage as generally define is the union between one man and one woman. However a recent debate
over same sex marriage has stirred a nationwide debate reverberating in the halls of Congress, at the
White House, in dozens of state courtrooms and legislatures, and is also becoming a speech making
topic for election campaigns at both the national and state levels. As the debate for this controversial
topic rages on, the American religious community view on the topic remains deeply divided over the
matter and over the morality of homosexuality in general. Granting legal marriage right to gays and
lesbians would primarily alter the idea of marriage, ignore a child s right to a mother and father, and
expands government control of marriage. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People against same sex marriage can use the doctrine that separates states from church in order to
stop the government from compelling them to accept a new definition of marriage. Under this
doctrine, if the government decides to grant the legal right to same sex marriage, the government will
be violating the freedom of religion of people under the civil rights of the Constitution, who hold the
deep believe that homosexuality is morally wrong in the society. The role of marriage in the society is
a major topic that it is thought in public schools. If same sex marriage is legalized, public schools
would have to teach the pupil about same sex marriage as equivalent to opposite sex marriage which
will violate the beliefs of many parents who are against same sex marriage. According to Stanley
Kurtz, a social commentator, he argued that among the likeliest effects of legalizing same sex
marriage is to take us down a slippery slope to legalized polygamy and polyamory. Marriage will be
transformed into a variety of relationship contracts, linking two, three, or more individuals weakly and
temporarily in every conceivable combination of male and female (Weekly Standard).

Middle Childhood Attachment Research
The relationship that a child shares with a parent compares to no other. The child is a creation of both
the mother and the father, therefore, exhibiting both characteristics and behaviors that the parents
illustrate, that the child could then possibly imitate. During the middle childhood years, it is to some
extent similar to the preschool years. This timeframe is well known as the calm after the preschool
years, before the storms of adolescence hit. (Holden, p. 262) This is the point where the child shifts
from being in the house to a variety of social environments that affects the child s developmental
stage. Research has shown that the development of child behavior problems in middle childhood is
influenced by different aspects of the family environment, including maternal psychosocial
functioning and the quality of child attachment to parent (DeKlyen and Greenberg 2008). ... Show

Nurture is one of many roles that come into play when it comes to the behavior of the child. During
the early childhood years, the child forms one of four attachments to the parent. Which is another key
factor that plays a role in the child s behavior. If the child shares a secure attachment to the parent, is
would be related to high levels of warm parental involvement, psychological autonomy granting, and
behavioral monitoring and control. In contrast, mothers of avoidantly attached children are less
responsive, more withdrawn, consistently rejecting, and uncaring low levels for all three levels was

The Verbermockle Murder
The Cold Blooded Murder of Mr. Verbermockle
54.3 percent of murder victims were killed by someone they knew (acquaintance, neighbor, friend,
boyfriend, etc.), 24.8 percent were killed by a family member. The evidence shows that this is
logically the case in the Verbermockle murder mystery. After allegedly finding Mrs. Verbermockle s
husband unconscious on the bathroom floor, Mrs. Verbermockle calls her family doctor. Mrs.
Verbermockle claimed that he must have slipped on a bar of soap, and she did not touch him. When
the doctor arrived, he announced Mr. Verbermockle dead from a fracture to the rear of the skull caused
from blunt force. However, if the FBI statistics are correct, then it is likely that Mrs. Verbermockle is
the killer. Although ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Verbermockle suffered blunt force head trauma. Knowing that he was killed using blunt force head
trauma, either the weapon or the body would have made a loud noise from impact. Mrs. V would have
been able to hear this loud bang in her own home. Any normal person would have rushed to the scene
immediately after hearing the noise, especially if the impact was tough enough to cause a fracture in
the rear of his skull, as the doctor had mentioned. In addition, Mr. V s body seems to be in front of the
sink, implying that he was in front of the mirror at the time of the impact. Anyone would have been
able to react if they saw someone behind them in the mirror. However, his body is placed as if he hadn
t moved a muscle. Though if he saw his wife behind him, he wouldn t have had any worry of
suspicion of an intruder. Most importantly, next to the body is a broken bottle of cologne or
mouthwash that could have been used as the murder weapon. At the murder scene you can see that the
victim has some type of liquid come from the back of his head, where he was hit at. The bottle was
used to hit Mr. V in the back of the head causing a fracture in his skull while splashing the liquid on
him at the same time. Unless the liquid coming from his head was blood, then bottle didn t splash on
him during the attack. We also know that the attack would have to be fast and swift, as the body seems
that he hadn t moved from the shower. Thus

Cardinal Law
Many people will argue that God was speaking to humanity in a language they would understand for

considered in the Catholic Religion to be the Vicar of Christ on earth (earthly representative of Jesus).

figures, the Archpriests, then up to the Cardinals, and finally the Pope. And where has this money
gone? To the families to silence them from letting you know of the rape and torture of your children at
the hands of Catholic priests. To simply say or hear the word rape, assuming a priori that you

The Crime Of Serial Murder And Mass Murder
Rotten Apples
The act of Serial murder and mass murder have similar characteristics, however they are not the same.
Before they can be defined, it is necessary to first understand what exactly constitutes murder.
According to the United States Code section 1111, murder is defined as the unlawful killing of a
human being with malice aforethought (FindLaw, 2014). With that said, according to the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, the term serial murder implies that there are at least three different murder
events at three different locations, with a cooling off period between each event (Ramsland, 2009).
Individuals who perpetrate the crime of serial murder are referred to as serial killers. The term serial
killer was coined in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While serial murder has a definition that contains certain specific characteristics, there is no generic
profile of a serial murderer. According to the FBI, each serial killer is individualized by their
motivations for killing, method of operation, and behavior at the crime scene. However, lack of
remorse or guilt, impulsivity, predatory behavior, the need for control, and sensation seeking are all
common traits to most serial killers (Federal, 2005). Modus Operandi, commonly known as MO, is
also a characteristic that may individualize one serial killer from another. The MO reflects what
actions the killer performed to commit the crime in question. This includes everything from the ruse
used to lure, type of restraint used, to the way that the killer actually consummates the murder. A serial
killer s MO can change, as he learns from his past mistakes and improves his tradecraft. On the other
hand, a Signature is a discernable regularity that occurs at each crime scene event that can link a
particular homicide to others. According to FBI profiler John Douglas, a signature, is a ritual,
something the subject does intentionally for emotional satisfaction something that isn t necessary to
perpetuate the crime (John Douglas in Freeman, 2014). Some serial killers pose their victims in a
certain way or leave them in a particular location after consummating the murder. Another form of
signature may be the technique employed to

The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde
Gain and loss are intimately connected and in a constant struggle for balance. This pair of themes is
intertwined through many works of literature, such as, Mary Shelley s Frankenstein, William
Shakespeare s The Taming of the Shrew, and Robert L. Stevenson s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll
and Mr. Hyde. Each of these works consists of elements of gain and loss that serve a very crucial
purpose to both the characters and the plot. For instance in Frankenstein and The Strange Case of Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde we find that, oftentimes, in order to gain understanding about life, one loses a lot
in life. And in The Taming of the Shrew, readers see that someone s gain can be another s loss. I have

Unfortunately, his thirst for eminence clouded his practical judgment and his morality. Frankenstein
made a choice. A choice that resulted in a great fall from which he was never, never again to rise
(Shelley, 188). He chose to sacrifice the world he had originally wanted to advance and abandoned his
own creation in a hypercritical world and consequently lost his humanity. Meanwhile, his creation
battled to understand the world around him. He hoped to gain many things from this beautiful world
for he had nothing to lose besides curiosity and innocence. Sadly, the creation lost even his innocence
and initial fascination and instead gained hate, anger, and vengeance on his creator. He gained an
understanding of how people judge others by their appearances despite their true nature and well
intentioned actions. He realized that no one will accept him despite his efforts and so he lost the
respect and compassion he had for humans and despised his creator for bringing him into such a
hateful world. He was compelled to commit actions that defied his own morals and hence lost his will
to be good. He once disclosed the pain he suffers when murdering humans. Do you think that I was
then dead to agony and remorse?... My heart was fashioned to be susceptible of love and sympathy,
and when wrenched by misery to vice and hatred, it did not endure the violence of the change without
torture such as you cannot even imagine (Shelley, 195). Eventually, Dr.

Female Relationships Between Female And Male Conversations
As the laugh they all laughed, and the joke they all told, and the secrets they all shared. Female and
Male friends are similar and distinctive in so many ways. But one thing they share among each other
is their friendship. Such Conversations, Activities and personalities are displayed differently between
male and females. It is evident that female and male conversations differ from each other. Females can
hold a conversation on the phone for hours and not run out of things to say, beginning from gossip, to
chattering about crushes, then on continuing to compliment each other for supportive reasons, later
comes down to being called the word Thick . Females sometimes don t realize how much we need us
women in each other s life. For instance, we require each other for support, love, and the basic
everyday drama which include going through menstrual cycles that men naturally can t comprehend.
On the other hand, males can barely last an hour when holding a conversation on the phone. Male
conversations are usually more of a straight forward approach, they say what they discuss what they
need to discuss and dismiss the conversation. Money, sex, drugs, and not to mention sports of all
things is usually the topic on a day to day basis as I ve grown up all my life in a male household.
Males tend not to get too emotional when they converse with other males, however when having
conversations with females, they can conversate for hours and hours. Both male and female have the

Leda And The Swan By William Butler Yeats
Leda and the Swan
William Butler Yeats s disguised sonnet Leda and the Swan describes some details of a story from
Greek mythology the rape of Leda by the god Zeus in the form of a swan. Through the description of
its physical characteristics, the swan becomes a violent force and possesses a divine power that
violates Leda and initiates the terrible consequences of war and devastation. Yeats reflects on the
actions described in the first eight lines of the poem, and challenges his audience to answer the
questions he has crafted. The octave essentially describes the god Zeus s forced impregnation of Leda
and her hopeless human efforts at resisting the swan. However, the reader is left with the unanswered
question, Did she put on his knowledge with his power (Yeats). In Ancient Greek mythology and in
Yeast s poem, Leda s rape is taken as an indirect cause of war. The inescapable impregnation of Leda
suggests that even as people have relative free will, they are subject to the inevitability of fate as well
as cause and effect.
The style of the poem is known as Petrarchan and the transition from octet to sestet contains several
shifts at once. At first glance, the sonnet is written in a traditional form with a traditional rhyme
scheme, yet the subject matter is extremely non traditional revolving around a violent rape as opposed
to love. The swan is a strong representation of purity with one of monstrous acts. Thus, the act results
in birth of two of Zeus children,

The Punishment Of A Criminal
The many different philosophies behind the punishment of a criminal include just about every moral
justification that crosses a human being s mind. The ideology behind philosophies of punishment in
the criminal justice system has mainly derived from the globally understood An eye for an eye, a tooth
for a tooth from the Old Testament and the cliché The punishment must fit the crime concerning
retributive punishment. Both of these statements involve retributive punishment. This is because most
of the criminal justice systems throughout the world have been shaped by this philosophy for
centuries. However, there are many more philosophies that produce respectable arguments when
concerning the punishment of a criminal. The philosophies covered in this paper will be the
Retributive Justification, the Utilitarian Justification, and the Deterrence method of justification.
The Retributive Justification involves the highly debated concept of revenge. Simply put, if a crime is
committed then punishment should provide the offender with what they deserve . The retributive
justification involves the mindset of society and its determination of the punishment for specific
crimes. For example, a person could get convicted of drug trafficking and another could get convicted
of attempted murder. Both of these people could end up serving the same amount of time behind bars
due to specific circumstances such as criminal history. The punishment does not seem to fit the crime
in the

Methodology for Children Related Public Expenditure and Institutional Reviews There are a number of events that have increased attention on the allocation of public expenditure (public finance) in the last few years, but the most important factors that have affected developing countries are: Overall, the global economic and financial crisis has put pressure on governments around the world to cut spending, deficits and debts, and allocate scarce public resources more effectively and efficiently to achieve the goals of poverty reduction, economic growth and sustainable development. As a result of the global crisis that has hit the richest countries the most, donor resources have also shrunk and donor conditionality has become more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This work has spawned various specialized PERs such as UNDP s Climate Public Expenditure and Institutional Reviews (CPEIR) which focus on climate change finance and UNICEF s Child Focused Public Expenditure Reviews which focus on child related public expenditure (I have been able to identify only three Child focused PERs which have been conducted in Macedonia, Gabon and the Republic of Central Africa). Despite the heightened concern, there is no standard or unified framework or methodology for carrying out public expenditure analysis. A review of the WB s PERs has found that there is no consistency in PER s methodology and quality. Many PERs did not use explicit criteria for analyzing public spending or did not analyze relevant expenditure categories (i.e. major programs within sectors). More importantly, many of them did not analyze institutional processes and did not follow up to build government capacity. Over time, the WB has strengthened the PER methodology and their quality has substantially increased. UNDP (in cooperation with ODI) is also trying to strengthen the methodology for the conduct of CPEIRs and their ownership by client governments. Given the increased attention and funding that children issues have received over time, public spending directly or indirectly related to the achievement of children s rights and wellbeing has become an important part of public expenditure. Therefore, a detailed analysis of children related expenditures in national ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Lifetime Show Analysis Back in the summer of 2015, I was directed to a new Lifetime show called UnREAL, and because one of my favorite actors, Brennan Elliott, was going to be on it, I knew I had to be an active member of the audience. Although I was aware that I was leaping out of my comfort zone to watch this show, I didn t plan on becoming quite so invested in the characters and the storyline that I anticipated season two (and soon, season three) with great delectation. What began as a sort of grandstand for Host Graham evolved into so much more. In the role of the devious, manipulative Chet, I was introduced to the stupendous work of Craig Bierko. Due to our busy schedules, we only recently had the opportunity to exchange a simpe Q A, and I am so grateful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While many actors may often wonder if their fans will find their story entertaining, I rarely find a tale that doesn t resonate with the fans, myself included, to some degree. And in the case of Craig, that is precisely the case. I never would have pegged him as a musical sort of person (I am still in the early stages of my exploration of the works of this multi talented guy), and there is no doubt from the detailing of his roles, his work and his outlook on his life and career that he is humble, pragmatic and benevolent. He doesn t see himself as a superstar, and in that case, he appears to be the antithesis of this resplendently disreputable character he plays on UnREAL. I am always convinced that shows that receive such wide acclaim must have a core group of cast and crew that dispose of their egos, labor without complaint, and become a sort of extended family. Viewers constantly connect with shows in which the people portraying the roles are genuine and down to earth, and it would appear that Craig is all that and more. His explantion of how he approaches his character was a delcious description for me to savor, and it is clear that he knows what his role is within the production, and he does it darn well! I would invite everyone to check out Craig at all the links below, and even if UnREAL is not your cup of tea, consider checking ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Literary Interpretation In Kich By Carolyn Kizer s Bitch Carolyn Kizer s Bitch is describing the unnamed woman s feelings towards an ex lover from an unspecified time in the past, which she has just encountered. The woman was extremely hurt by the ex and has a lot of anger deep inside towards this person, but does not want to demonstrate it. The main image is the speaker and the ex lover running into one another and catching up. Now, when he and I meet, after all these years, I say to the bitch in me, don t start growling. (Kizer 1,2). The tone of the poem is angry, sad, and reflects a relationship where she was hurt and misses the other person. The woman tries to control her inner feelings when she encounters the man, concealing her true feelings with polite conversation. Just by the tone of her inner feelings, you can see the woman thinks the man from her past caused her harm. The woman of Carolyn Kizer s Bitch provides a satiric interpretation of a typical meeting between her and an ex lover since the end of their relationship. In a single, thirty four line stanza, the woman participates in a witty monologue that displays a ideally ironic division: the woman s two coinciding but opposite interchanges, one entailing of the woman s external conversation with her former lover and the other of silent warnings, threats, and clarifications to her inner self, represented in the poem as a bitch. The speaker is camouflaging compelling emotions with external civility. While the hiding of true feelings is an everyday ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The genre of science fiction has made that fear even more prominent in today s society with a plethora of movies showing a dystopian world. To answer these questions take a look at satirical historians. They believe the starting point of satire most likely goes back to many ancient ethnic groups who used it in rituals. The people believed that their words were just as powerful as their swords, making satire a thing to be feared. In fact, satire was so extremely feared among the ethnic groups and the people that if someone was found using it, they would be put to death by fire (Roman). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Swift s use of a parody that the Irish should eat their babies is imitating the intelligence level of some people who think their ideas are so marvelous, when it is really a terrible suggestion (Swift). Another parody is found in A Modest Proposal as Swift explains his final statement. He claims . . . [I] have nothing to gain economically from this proposal . . . This is a parody because it imitates the usual objections of people who claim to be unselfish in their proposals (Swift). A reversal is a major technique used in the film Tangled. As Princess Rapunzel uses her unnaturally long hair to bring up her pretend mother from the tower, it is incredible how far the beautiful golden hair can reach. However, the fact that Rapunzel has to take care of her mother is simply not natural. Although every mom wants to feel beautiful and accepted by society, her main concern should be making sure her daughter feels beautiful and accepted. Many people have the capabilities to stun the rest of the world, but it is just not a natural thing for a teenage daughter to be taking care of her mother and making her feel young and wanted. This, above all, is truly daffy and out of proportion. The picture to the left is a very strong form of satire. The bone matrix is made up of an inorganic component known as mineral salts that hardens the bone, and an inorganic component collagen fibres and an amorphous mixture called ground substance, which gives the bone its strength (Tortora, Grabowski 2001). There are three types of cells that can be found in the bone, they are osteoblasts, osteoclasts and osteocytes. Osteoblasts are the cells that synthesizes a specialized organic material called osteoid which is important in the build up of mineralized bone, osteoclasts are relatively larger multi nucleate cells made up of mitochondria and lysosomes that are responsible for the continuous erosion of bones. Lastly the last cells found in the bone are osteocytes, these are adult osteoblast cells found in the lacunae that have been surrounded by mineralized matrix. (Thibodeau, Patton 2003).Osteocytes are responsible for maintaining metabolism within the bone such as the exchange of nutrients with the blood. There are four types of bones short bones, long bones, flat bones and irregular bones, which have different characteristics so at to be able to function effectively. Most of her childhood she spent with her mother to help attend to her health. By the age of ten, she began to draw missing parts of tapestries, and also became an expert in drawing feet and legs. Bourgeois decided to paint a portrait of a penis in 1968. She called it the Fillette which meant little girl. Her instructor Fernand Leger had told her you are not a painter. • 17. The Old Fairy Tale By Charles Perrault And The 1990s Movie... In everyday life, people are given roles to play; doctors are to heal the wounded, officers are to maintain order in society and teachers are to guide the youth onto the right path. In the past, each gender had to behave a certain way, the men were the strong worker of the home, whom provided the income for the family, while as the women were the gentle angels at home, whom took care of the children and housework. If the women were to defy these roles, they would be look down upon and be treated worse. However, time has change, these roles are no longer black and white; there is no longer a certain way a woman is supposed to act, modern women are depicted differently from the way they were in the past, this is due to the new norms in society that has been molded throughout time. This can be proven with the old fairy tale Cinderella by Charles Perrault and the 1990s movie Pretty Woman directed by Garry Marshall. To begin with, these two story and film both revolved around a woman who goes through many challenges and then found the love of their life, but the way they are depicted as are completely different from each other. Perrault s tale of Cinderella is set during the olden time. Leda And The Swan By William Butler Yeats Leda and the Swan William Butler Yeats s disguised sonnet Leda and the Swan describes some details of a story from Greek mythology the rape of Leda by the god Zeus in the form of a swan. Through the description of its physical characteristics, the swan becomes a violent force and possesses a divine power that violates Leda and initiates the terrible consequences of war and devastation. Yeats reflects on the actions described in the first eight lines of the poem, and challenges his audience to answer the questions he has crafted. The octave essentially describes the god Zeus s forced impregnation of Leda and her hopeless human efforts at resisting the swan. However, the reader is left with the unanswered question, Did she put on his knowledge with his power (Yeats). In Ancient Greek mythology and in Yeast s poem, Leda s rape is taken as an indirect cause of war. The inescapable impregnation of Leda suggests that even as people have relative free will, they are subject to the inevitability of fate as well as cause and effect. The style of the poem is known as Petrarchan and the transition from octet to sestet contains several shifts at once. At first glance, the sonnet is written in a traditional form with a traditional rhyme scheme, yet the subject matter is extremely non traditional revolving around a violent rape as opposed to love.
