Belleville. Everyone seemed to be out and about finishing their last minute Christmas

blanket of snow on it that had just fallen during the early hours of the morning. My
mom was taking me to the mall so that I could get pictures taken with Santa, one of
my favourite parts about Christmas. As I was sitting in my car seat all bundled up in
my snow suit, clutching my favourite stuffed bunny all I was fixated on was what
to ask Santa for Christmas. I was 7 years old with big brown eyes that glared out

The confirmation class of 2013 was officially confirmed in May. These students
were in a two year confirmation program after receiving feedback that the students
needed more biblical knowledge. Their final year focused on the Re:Form
curriculum, finishing with their confirmation service. After receiving feedback from

participating in kids club, a program for kids to attend after boys and girls club. We
also worked with a food pantry, a soup kitchen, and gardened at a local church.

Upside down Kingdom, learning that the Jesus kingdom is opposite of how society is

The aim of the present study was to investigate which hemisphere is specialised for
the perception of emotion. It was hypothesised that participants will judge
chimeric faces with smile presented in the left visual field as happier more often
than chimeric faces with the smile presented in the right visual field. Twenty six
psychology students were asked to judge chimeric faces with one half being a
smiling expression and the other half with a neutral expression. The images were
presented in their left and right visual field. Over 28 experimental trials the
participants were asked to judge which face they thought looked happier. The
percentage of chimeric faces judged as happier for both left and right visual field
was recorded. The hypothesis was supported: chimeric faces with smile presented in
the left visual field as happier more often than chimeric faces with the smile presented
in the right visual field.

school. The first of a total of 8 and I ve already messed up and know that these
mistakes will be permanent. As of right now the only thing I am able to do is try

This photo looks as if the young girl is offering the young boy help by giving him a

photo illustrates more than just the simple fact of giving and receiving. The photo
shows the opportunity to help the ones in desperate need. This photo works as a
powerful representation of individuals in need. The young girl has all the
opportunities in life to do what she wants and still gives her time to help the young
boy. That is shown by the illustration of the young girl offering the young boy a
balloon. Everyone needs a helping hand at a certain time in their life. Most
importantly not everyone knows what people go through but the best option is to

Abuse Of Power In High Schools
It is not easy for youth to imagine a realm that is existential outside of parental
control. Little do they know that each time they close the door to their mothers mini
vans or step off of the bus and on to school grounds, they enter one. Of course, there
are adults present on the campus as well, but even their ascendancy is rendered
useless in the stratified hierarchythat the students have constructed. Within the walls
of a high school, there is an entire power structure that exists unbeknownst to those
who have out grown it, despite living through it themselves. While the exact details
and levels of these hierarchies may vary from school to school, the overall effect is

In order of social status, they were the preps, the jocks, the wannabe preps, the
general population (which included nerds and any outliers whose cliques were
undefined), and lastly were the individuals labeled freaks by those of higher status.
When I started high school, I almost immediately noticed the status and power of the
girls who were part of the preppy clique. Even without being actively informed,
everyone seemed to be conscious of their esteem, and this was not lost on me.
During an interview I conducted with former classmate Blake LeBlanc, I asked
him if he was aware of a status system on our campus to which he replied. Ha! Of
course... I blind man could have seen it. You just knew who was elite and who
was... well... not so elite. Furthermore, he was aware of his own status and clique
without ever being told what they were. I was a nerd, obviously. I got good grades
without cheating and people always wanted to sit next to me during a test , laughed
LeBlanc, and I don t think it had anything to do with my personality.
The power that the preps had gained was highly sought after and envied by many.
Quite noticeably, some girls aspired and attempted to become preps, failing time
and time again. Everyone knew who was a prep and who was an imitator, and the
preps made sure of this seemingly effortlessly. Labeled the wannabe preps , these
girls were ignored by most, pitied by some, and mocked by those who they
endeavored to emulate. ...as far as the wannabes, [students] were either unconcerned,
sympathetic, or if you were part of the elite, they were frustrated and confused
