The Edutech Cluster was created in 2013 to promote innovation in educational technology in Spain. It represents over 600 companies in Catalonia working in areas like educational software, online platforms, and IT infrastructure for schools. The Cluster aims to encourage partnerships between edtech companies, facilitate dialogue with public administrators, and disseminate the importance of technology in education. It organizes conferences and supports edtech startups through programs with accelerators. The Cluster also works to define a national framework for educational digital transformation based on tools and resources to improve learning outcomes.
Speaker: Dr. Ross Parry, associate professor and deputy pro-vice-chancellor (digital), University of Leicester
Developing digital capability is a strategic priority for the University of Leicester as it works towards the ambition of becoming a "discovery-led university” that is “ever more focused on innovation" (University of Leicester 2015 Strategic Plan). The role of digital technologies in achieving this vision is articulated in greater detail in the university's digital strategy: Discovery-Enabling Digital 2016-2020 digital is at the core of how the university operates and the journey towards achieving its teaching, learning and research ambitions.
The university is taking a whole-organisation view of what this will involve (teaching and research, students and staff, academic and professional services) and is working on several co-ordinated and interlinked strands that contribute to the overall implementation plan. The university has adopted a customised digital literacy framework which is based on the Jisc building digital capability framework, and this provides a consistent framework through which digital training and skills development across the university can be delivered.
The university is also using the Jisc building digital capability discovery tool to support staff and students with their understanding of what digital skills they require to support their professional practice and future careers. Senior leadership support for such a large-scale digital initiative is vital and the university has recognised this by appointing a deputy pro-vice-chancellor to lead the work on the digital campus.
In this presentation Ross will share his experiences of leading this initiative and how he is working with teams across the university to achieve this vision for a digitally capable organisation.

This document discusses the development of a digital toolkit to help apprenticeship providers navigate the new apprenticeship standards in England. It provides an overview of the toolkit, which is structured around the apprenticeship journey and highlights where technology can improve learning delivery and business processes. The toolkit is still in prototype form and feedback is being gathered to inform its further development. Interviews with stakeholders have uncovered pain points around apprenticeship delivery, and the toolkit aims to provide guidance on applying digital technologies to address these challenges. Next steps include sharing the draft version for consultation to identify any gaps that should be covered.
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated changes in higher education, especially the adoption of remote and digital learning. It has increased focus on skills development and lifelong learning to address economic needs. Universities adapted assessments and teaching in emergencies, and it is important to evaluate the impact of these changes, especially on student experiences and performance as well as equality and diversity. As institutions plan for recovery, they must consider changing staff and student expectations and balance various views on returning to normal operations while supporting well-being.
The document summarizes a meeting of the FE and Skills Coalition in London on October 5, 2017. The aims of the meeting were to consult on how to embed technology in apprenticeship design, delivery, and assessment, and to hear experiences using technology to support apprenticeships. Jisc provided updates on activities to support FE and Skills providers with technology use, including guidance, case studies, and tools to help build digital capabilities at the individual and organizational levels. Next steps discussed were further collaborative work on sector priorities for supporting technology use in FE and Skills.

An insight into a spearheaded campaign to extend learner experiences by bringing in and embedding immersive experiences within the curriculum. There'll be an opportunity to discuss and share best practice around the adoption of virtual and augmented reality to enhance learner experience.
Prepared as an interactive session focuses on participating in shifting the paradigm toward learner-centered curriculum delivery. The key factors for adult education are maturity, accumulation of experience; readiness for learning; being problem vs. subject centered; intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation; and curriculum that is anchored as problem-centered rather than content-oriented. Where there is a challenge achieving true innovation, this paper and the planned interactive session offers a series of framework based on Porter's idea on Value Chain Analysis to identify factors which leverage activities along a "chain" of delivering an educational service to self-directed learners. Specifically, course design for online delivery is the scenario for open dialog on shifting the paradigm. This document outlines a digital marketing plan for Lithan, a digital learning and talent network. It begins by introducing Lithan and its target customer segments. It then performs a situational analysis of Lithan's current digital presence and performance. Goals are identified to increase website visits, social media engagement, leads, and customer retention. Strategies are proposed to achieve these goals through content creation and distribution across different social media platforms tailored towards millennial and pioneer generations. Partnerships with companies and the government are also recommended to help graduates find jobs.
Digital marketing training provides numerous benefits to businesses by empowering employees with skills to enhance online presence, develop targeted strategies, and improve customer engagement. Trained marketers can optimize content, engage audiences on social media, craft compelling messages, utilize data analytics to tailor campaigns, and analyze results. While digital landscapes present challenges around algorithm changes, data privacy, and technological advances, training programs prepare marketers to navigate these challenges and adapt to constant evolution. Ongoing education is important for professionals and businesses to thrive in constantly changing digital environments.

The course aims to teach students integrated marketing communications with a focus on digital media like social media platforms and mobile marketing. Professional development in the sales and marketing arena has long been challenged by the absence of objective evaluation of results.
Traditional ‘training programs’ have, for the most part, failed to capture initiative-based progress and discrete outcomes. The advent of digital marketing channels has exacerbated this situation. New channels, technologies and consumer behaviours are emerging at such a rapid rate that traditional sales and marketing leaders are scrambling to keep pace with their own marketplaces. The first Digital Chameleon IQ Index uncovered three key dynamics shaping digital marketing learning.
The document summarizes the key findings of the 2012 Digital IQ Index survey conducted by Digital Chameleon. The survey aimed to provide insight into the digital marketing learning needs of sales and marketing professionals. Key findings included:
1) A significant skills gap exists, as only 30% of respondents had prior digital experience but most were responsible for digital activities and budgets.
2) Respondents displayed low confidence in fundamental digital skills and concepts.
3) Respondents were hungry for digital marketing learning but cited lack of time and need for engaging opportunities as barriers.
The document discusses how to achieve digital literacy within an organization. It outlines four typical ways organizations approach digital learning and four common paths to achieving digital literacy, including do-it-yourself, on-the-job training, internal trainers, and external trainers. It also identifies five key metrics an organization should consider when developing a digital literacy program: engagement, accountability, scalability, sustainability, and affordability. The document promotes Digital Chameleon's digital literacy solutions and five-step process for digital knowledge transformation.

Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
2. The Pain Point
IBM 2014 Global CMO Study. compares global CMOs level of digital
preparedness -
In 2011, 71 % felt underprepared to deal the explosion of marketing
data, as compared to 82% in 2014 .
66% reported that they’re not ready to cope with social media,
marginally less than 2011.
3. Our Responsibility
“By 2018 the US is predicted to lack around 1.5 million managers and
analysts with sufficient technical and digital know-how to make
effective decisions, and the picture in the UK is similar. Big data, web
analytics, mobile, content marketing and social media are the future
of marketing but they are also the most difficult skills for which to
recruit. This presents a challenge for both marketing employers and
educators.”
Lorna Walke, senior lecturer and programme director in the Business &
Management faculty of Regent’s University London Business School
4. Digital Transforms Business
Organization- Digital Marketing pervades all functions of the organization
transforming it both internally and externally
Marketing function- Transparency and customer experience transforms Marketing–
add values, social media and participation to the marketing mix
IT function- Big Data, the Cloud and digital technologies increase the role of IT in
decision-making corporate strategies
HR function- the four generation organization, reverse mentoring, and talent
acquisition suggests the critical role of “talent” in creating competitive advantage
Finance function – digital payments to digital marketing, business looks for new ways
to generate value. In addition the digital culture is bringing corporate principles to the
front and suggesting that sustainable outcomes become the result through creating
shared value.
5. Pieces to the Digital Puzzle
Content Paradox: The idea of transmitting digital content openly and
transparently contrasts with the interests of the entrenched executive
focused on controlling the message and its distribution.
Literacy Paradox: Digital is being adopted at an exponential rate by
consumers, but more than half of CMOs admit they are not technically
or analytically prepared to address this opportunity.
Marketing Paradox: Traditionally, marketing has operated in its own
independent silo and has been focused on customer acquisition and
engagement; now its functions and technologies are beginning to
pervade all aspects of the organization.
Organizational Paradox: Executives expect digital to transform their
companies, but their organizations are not structurally or
technologically prepared for the speed and complexity of this change.
Sustainability Paradox: Some two-thirds of organizations consider
sustainability a significant issue yet a only small percentage have fully
implemented sustainability initiatives; many more have not
incorporated such initiatives into their strategic planning.
Performance Paradox: As a rule, businesses with superior performance
(in terms of sales or revenue) feel better prepared for digital
transformation and have invested more resources in digital marketing
than lower performers.
6. How to incorporate these changes
into a digital marketing course
Customer experience
Big data
Social customer relationship management
Social branding
Integrated digital marketing
Social return on investment
Digital involvement cycle
Digital alignment/organizational restructuring
8. DILE – Core Concepts
Student-Centricity – The learner experience (LX) is the primary
focus.
Social Community – The classroom is a living digital laboratory
of a “student social community” with common interests.
Collaboration – In collaborative learning, the instructor and
students are partners in learning
Integration – Integration permeates the entire course:
integrating media, integrating values and goals with
actionable strategies and tactics.
Applicability – Concepts are experienced and ingested
through group exercises, rather than memorized and
regurgitated.
9. Digital Transforms the Learning
Environment
Students- Millennials live the digital culture with different values, learning
styles and expectations; they translate their social media expertise to
strategic applications.
Instructors – They must adopt the digital mindset (values, listening,
responsiveness) as a partner in learning
Classroom – In order to engage the millennial, the instructor must transform
the learning environment from being instructor dominant to learner centric
or creating a experiential, collaborative social community
Textbook- The static print textbook must be transformed to an interactive,
updatable, and flexible digital learning resource integrating all of the
changes cited above
10. The Proof of Concept
Digital Marketing:
Integrating Strategy and Tactics with Values
Input from academics and digital experts
Designed by millennials
Refined by students
Traces 5 steps to Digital Integration-
Mindset, New Marketing Normal, Integrated Digital Marketing,
Alignment Sustainability
