This document discusses digital influence in a network economy. It notes that in a network economy, value flows from connectivity and is created by all members of the network. It also discusses how economic structures have shifted from traditional top-down leadership models to models where influencers gain reputations for providing leadership. The rules of status and value exchange have also changed in a network economy. The document provides tips for building influence in a network economy such as defining your brand, leading with purpose, building valuable networks, advancing conversations, being transparent, and measuring success.

Forces of Change & The Importance of NarrativeOgilvy
OgilvyEntertainment creates compelling narratives that fuel deeper connections between brands and consumers.
In Forces of Change & The Importance of Narrative, President Doug Scott explores how disruptive innovation is driving new forms of content, creativity and engagement. While "storytelling" may be the latest trend, narratives have no limits in today's transmedia world. The state of play has shifted and the key is to activate deep content experiences driven by the power of NARRATIVE.
The Internet has fundamentally transformed the way people discover, share, connect and shop. It's time for marketers to transform the way they raise awareness and generate leads as well. Enjoy this eye-opening look at how search engines, social media, and mobile technology are transforming our lives—and how companies can embrace and utilize these tools to transform costly, low-yield marketing programs into finely-tuned lead-generation machines.
An advertising industry first, Ogilvy & Mather’s Cross-Cultural Report: Findings provide new model to help brands build value and relevancy for “The New General Market”.
Through the development of Ogilvy & Mather’s Cross-Cultural Report, we identified a major shift in the way we perceive and market to our clients’ customers. In the report we explain this shift and the manner in which we need to respond to it. The stakes are high. It’s no exaggeration to say that this is a change-or-die moment for many players in our industry. We believe that with this blueprint we are poised to prosper rather than perish. And we believe that David Ogilvy, who had great respect for the consumer and a deeply held belief in constant adaptation, would have approved.
After reading the Cross-Cultural Report you should understand the following:
1. The business case as to why brand and marketing leaders should shift their planning and investment approach for “The New General Market.”
2. The cross-cultural disciplined approach versus the current general market and multicultural marketing approach.
3. How the application of the Ogilvy & Mather Cross-Cultural Strategic Territories helps builds brands for The New General Market.
4. How the Ogilvy & Mather Cross-Cultural Matrix helps brands assess their current cross-cultural position and our approach for building brand value.

We are finally starting to think about how touchscreen devices really work, and design proper sized targets, think about touch as different from mouse selection, and to create common gesture libraries.
But despite this we still forget the user. Fingers and thumbs take up space, and cover the screen. Corners of screens have different accuracy than the center. It's time to re-evaluate what we think we know.
Steven reviews his ongoing research into how people actually interact with mobile devices, presents some new ideas on how we can design to avoid errors and take advantage of this new knowledge, and leaves you with 10 (relatively) simple steps to improve your touchscreen designs tomorrow.

The What If Technique presented by Motivate DesignMotivate Design
Why "What If"...?
The What If Technique tackles the challenge of engaging a creative, disruptive mindset when it comes to design thinking and crafting innovative user experiences.
Thinking disruptively is a disruptive thing to do, which means it's a very hard thing to do, especially when you add in risk-averse business leaders and company cultures, who hold on tight to psychological blocks, corporate lore, and excuse personas that stifle creativity and possibilities (see www.motivatedesign.com/what-if for more details).
The What If Technique offers key steps, tools and examples to help you achieve incremental changes that promote disruptive thinking, overcome barriers to creativity, and lead to big, innovative differences for business leaders, companies, and ultimately user experiences and products.

Deloitte LLP’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice has recently released the results of the 2009 Tribalization of Business Study, which evaluates the perceived potential of online communities* and identifies how enterprises believe they may better leverage them. Conducted in conjunction with Beeline Labs and the Society for New Communications Research, this second edition of the Tribalization of Business Study measured the responses of more than 400 companies including Fortune 100 organizations which have created and maintain online communities today.
While many companies struggled to maintain their figures over the last year to eighteen months, others have grown - even in these tough economic times. One significant factor in their success appears to be the level of engagement with customers and stakeholders.
Sally Falkow (APR) Social Media Strategist at Expansion Plus, and Rebecca Lieb, VP North America, Econsultancy will discuss research that shows how important engagement has become and how it is tied to financial success.
They'll present case studies that show that this applies just as much to small and medium businesses as it does to large corporations.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
