This document discusses the signs and symptoms of pregnancy over three stages: early, mid, and late pregnancy. In early pregnancy, subjective symptoms include amenorrhea, morning sickness, and breast tenderness. Objective signs are uterine enlargement and positive Hegar's sign between 6-10 weeks. Mid-pregnancy signs are quickening felt between 16-18 weeks, linea nigra rash at 20 weeks, and fundal height measuring appropriately. Late pregnancy is marked by darkening of linea nigra and breasts, prominent stretch marks, thick breast discharge, fetal movement palpation at 20 weeks, and normal fetal heart rate between 110-160 bpm.

6.  SUBJECTIVE SYMPTOMS
 AMENORRHEA :- Placental sign (bleeding or

conceived to before a women gives birth

followings missed period and rarely last
beyond 16 weeks . Intensity more in morning
time

7.  BREAST DISCOMFORT:- Enlarge tenderness
,fullness ,pricking sensation in breast
 FATIGUE :-

8.  BREAST CHANGES :- valuable in primgravida ,
breast chaneges evident in 6-8 weeks
.enlarge with vascular engorgement , thickly
yellow discharge can be expressed as early as
12 weeks

10.  PELVIC CHANGES :-
1. Jacquemier’s or Chadwick’s sign 8 weeks
2. Vaginal sign apart from the bluish
discoloration of the ant. Vaginal wall ,
become softened ,copious non irritating
mucoid discharge appear 6 week.

when the uterus is
palpated bimanually , the two vaginal finger
can almost meet the abdominal finger , which
show that upper part of the uterus is
enlarged by growing ovum and lower part is
soft and empty .

16.  PALMER’S SIGN :- Regular rhythmic uterine
contraction on bimanual examination at 4-8
weeks
