LABORATORY EXAMINATION/DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDUREA
doctor or other health care worker can diagnose dengue fever
by doing a blood test. The test can show whether the blood
sample contains dengue virus or antibodies to the virus. In
epidemics, dengue is often clinically diagnosed by typical signs
and symptoms

TREATMEN

There is no effective antiviral therapy for dengue fever.
The treatment is entirely symptomatic.
Analgesic drugs other than aspirin maybe required for
reliefof headache, ocular pain, and myalgia.Initial phase may
require intravenous infusion to prevent dehydration and
replacement of plasma .Blood transfusion is indicated in
patient with severe bleeding Oxygen therapy is indicated to all
patient in shock Sedatives maybe needed to allay anxiety and
apprehension
