We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Deconstruction double page 2
1. CLOSE UP SHOT- the image is taken
in a close up shot which is a
conventional shot for a single artist
FULL BLEED IMAGE- a image that
has no borders and spreads to the
sides of the magazine, although
this may not be conventional for
music magazines this type of
image is found in a lot of
magazines as a whole
MAIN IMAGE- This image is
the largest and in the double
page spreads case the only
image, it’s the biggest is there
to grab the readers attention
STANDFIRST- this is a small paragraph
placed after the heading or pull quote
conventionally in a different size or
type face and is used to summarise
the article
Guttering used to
separate the text
in the articles
Body text- organised into columns
contains all the bulk text of the
article guttering is used to
separate each column, these can
be written in a verity of styles and
are normally in sizes 8 or 9pt
DIRECT MODE OF ADRESS- the is
the subject in the image
interacting with the reader
pulling them in this is typically
conventional because its used to
appeal to the already existing
audience of the artist
PULL QUOTE- Used to attract
attention especially in long articles is
a small section of the body text a
small interesting section of the
article and is in a larger bolder type
face compered to the rest of the
article this is typically conventional
in music magazines
BRAND- The magazines brand
in the corner
CAPTIONS- small pieces of text with
the images to describe what's
happening and the images relevance
with the article
The mise-en-scene of the images
goes with the genre of the
magazine even the colours clothes
and there expressions connote the
genre Of the magazine
DENOTATION COLOUR- the colours used throughout the pages are dark greys and blacks however there is a small section of colour on the main image,
this is to draw the readers attention to the image so that the reader can get a feel for what they are going to read going from left to right, meaning
they will see the image then the quote causing the reader to get gripped the article and read on. This happens because the magazine meets its target
audience so having an article that meets there targets needs causes the audience to want to read the article after seeing the image the same way you
would want to watch a film you like after seeing the movie poster.
Although this isn’t present on the magazines double page spread
a lot of music magazines would also have a side bar including
other side information about the artist like events products ect,
as a way of promoting the artist to the audience more
This magazine has used this artist to appeal to a more adult audience due to the
genre of music this magazine covers ,, this is because the magazine is appealing
to an adult target audience. The subjects on the pages also appeals to fans of the
artist its self, this means the cover page can relate to multiple target audiences.
2. The facial expression of the subject is a
very serious look and used with the pull
quote sets the tone of the article
showing that its meant for a more
mature audience this shows the this
music magazine covers more mature
genres of music, this can also be
represented by the choices of colour
used throughout the magazine.
Personal identification between the
magazine and the audience – The
audience builds a connection between
them self's and the product Seeing some
of them self's in the magazine and
relating to it making them want to buy it.
The audience can relate to this page
spread because the magazine includes
information about artist(s) they can
relate to are and interested in. Writing an
article on an artist that a target audience
enjoys ultimately sells the music
magazine.
