La Muerte Niña Cultural Event
Special Experience of La Muerte Niña:Day of the Dead The exhibition La Muerte Niña: Day of the
Dead opened in National Museum of Mexican Art on September 18, 2015. Dolores Mercado curated
this exhibition. The exhibition was about the Mexican day of the dead . Many Mexican people believe
that life still continues after death and they celebrate it as the holiday day of the dead each year. Every
year, the day of the dead exhibition in the National Museum of Mexican Art has a different subtopic.
The subtopic in this year is La Muerte Niña, which means the death child and refers to the loss of
innocent life. Forty three students who were kidnapped and killed inspire the subtopic. This exhibition
contains 13 ofrendas including 116 artworks, which has been put in three rooms. These works are
made in a plenty of mediums such as paintings, collages, sculptures and installations. The exhibition
presents the unified warm color tone. The walls in different rooms are painted in different colors. The
first room is bright, while the second room is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both the whole arrangement of the exhibition and artworks are effective for showing the main idea of
the exhibition. The different wall colorings in different rooms in this exhibition can give viewers
fruitful visual experiences. The warm color atmosphere around the exhibition makes us forget about
the fear and sorrow of death. Different rooms have different mediums of artworks. This gives the
exhibition an outstanding rhythm that is different from normal exhibitions, which would not make this
exhibition stiff. The artworks in this exhibition do not only reflect the theme but also make a good
interaction with the viewers¬ especially the sculpture work We are Earth and Earth with Fire makes

Family Guy by Seth Mcfarlene
Family guy is an American adult sitcom created by Seth Mcfarlene for the Fox Broadcasting company.
The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents, Peter and Lois, their children Meg,
Chris, and Stewie, and their anthropomorphic dog, Brian. The show is set in the fictional city of
Quahog, Rhode Island and exhibits much of its humor in the form of cutaway gags that often lampoon
the American culture. Contrary to its title, this isn t a family show
The most intelligent members of the family are the dog, Brian, and the infant, Stewie which might set
off an alarm in terms of inappropriate role modeling.
There is frequent sexual innuendo and salty language (Ex: Bitch , damn )
Drinking and violence played for humor
The Parents Television Council, a conservative non profit group has attempted to have the show
cancelled through campaigns due to reasons of profanity, animated nudity and violence.
Sociological Perspective on Race Ethnicity
Race may be defined as a group of people who have been identified as having real or alleged physical
characteristics.
Ethnicity refers to people who share common cultural characteristics and ethnic identity; they share a
sense of oneness, and a shared fate.
These biological traits are endowed with social meaning, which brings them into the realm of the
social sciences.

Essay On Auschwitz Concentration Camp
Firstname Lastname Ms. Glenn A3 13 November 2015 The Harsh Treatment of Prisoners in
Auschwitz Concentration Camp Imagine being stuck in an old, damp building filled with hundreds of
people. You are starving; you haven t had a meal in days. Beaten and torn by the harsh punishments of
the Nazi SS, you are scared. Any second now you can be shot or hit by a Nazi soldier. A soldier
comes...what fate does he bring you? This was the daily life of a Jew in Auschwitz; controlled by fear
and abused by the Nazi SS. They live in such horrendous conditions in which they can call hell.

Auschwitz had a very strict schedule that all prisoners were forced to follow otherwise they would be
punished. The prisoners were woken up at 4:00 A.M. Upon being woken up they were to make their
beds and immediately go to the sanitation facility. There they were given a couple of minutes to wash
up before they were to go to breakfast. After breakfast the prisoners attended roll call. Next, they
joined their work teams and worked until the lunch break. After the lunch break they were to report to
the evening roll call. And finally, the prisoners went to eat dinner. (Levi, 1996) In addition to the strict
schedule, Auschwitz had terrible living conditions for the prisoners. Over 700 people were forced to
live together in the old brick barracks. These barracks lacked insulation or heating, were very damp
with leaky roofs, and were infested with rats and other rodents. (Editors of the Jewish Virtual Library,
2015) However, prisoner accommodations was not the worst part of Auschwitz. The prisoners were
fed 3 meals every day, but they were fed an extremely small amount, barely getting enough energy to
last through the whole day. Those who were given more physically demanding labor were fed

History of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba
Beautiful, magnificent, fascinating, breathtaking, and incredible are some of the words that describe
the Great Mosque of Córdoba. The Mosque is also known as the Mezquita, the Mosque Cathedral of
Córdoba, or the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady. The mosque is considered one of the
monumental jewels of Islamic civilization. In addition, it is one of the largest mosques in the entire
world measuring about 24,000 square meters. The mosque was not all built at once, its construction
lasted from 784 AD to 987 AD. First, Emir Abd ar RahmanI began the construction of the mosque in
the year 784, on a site that was originally home to Roman temple of Janus and Visigothic church of St
Vincent. In the years 822 AD to 852 AD, Abd ar Rahman II added an arm bone of Prophet
Mohammed, an original copy of Quran, and increased the size of the Mosque. Then, Abd ar Rahman
III added a new minaret in the beginning of 9th century. Following Abd ar Rahman III, Al Hakam II
magnified the mosque and enhanced the mihrab in the year 961. Finally, Al Mansur Ibn Abi Aamir
enlarged it further through the addition of the orange tree courtyard and the outer aisles in the year
987. As a result, this mosque turned Cordoba into a kind of paradise on earth where the Mosque
symbolizes heaven. At its zenith, this mosque was the center of western Islam. The Great Mosque is a
forest of stone columns that seem to go on forever. The effect is disorientating like a vast hall of

Ritual In The Lottery
The traditions and the ritual of The Lottery in Shirley Jackson s story seems to be just as old as the
town itself, specifically since most of the residents don t recall any of the old rituals, even old man
Warner, who is celebrating his 77th lottery. By the means of this, they are old fashioned in some ways
and fixed in traditions of superstitions that seemed to involve human sacrifice. The village lottery
culminates in a violent murder each year. A bizarre that suggests how dangerous rituals can be when
people follow it blindly. Before we know what kind of lottery they are conducting, the villagers and
their preparations seem harmless. They have selected a relatively pathetic man to run the lottery, and
children run around gathering stones in the town square. In The Lottery by Shirley Jackson,
Psychoanalytic theory helps the reader come to the conclusion that the townspeople are included in an
act of conspiracy. This conclusion is significant because of the refusal of the townspeople to abandon
tradition and question the lottery ritual suggests the negative consequences of blindly following evil
rituals, the randomness of persecution, and the townspeople are governed by mob psychology and
abandon their reason to act out with great cruelty.
The refusal of the townspeople to abandon tradition and question the lottery s ritual suggest the

Washing A Car Analysis
Every Sunday morning until the weather drops below freezing and my parents do not let me use the
hose, I wash my car. This may seem like an ordinary job to some, but to me washing a car requires a
distinctive technique. No matter how tired I am, every Sunday morning I wake up, brush my teeth, put
on my blue sweatpants and red sweatshirt, grab the keys to the car, and head out into the driveway.
Not even the puppy follows me outside; he likes to sleep till eleven o clock on Sundays. I pull the car
out into the driveway and position it just right so that the morning sun is blocked by the thick leaves
and branches of the tall maple, and so I can easily walk around the back end. I then attach the longest
hose I can find in the basement of my house

Benokraitis. (2012). SOC.(pg. 14). Belmont,CA. Linda Schreiber Ganster Karl Marx thought that
conflict would be the effect of inequality in the economy. He got this from the idea of capitalism,
where he saw industrial society composed of three social classes. The first class would be the
Capitalists, which are the owners of factories or basically anyone who owns a company that produces
a lot of wealth. The next class would be the petit bourgeoisie, which are below the capitalists. They
own their own company but can be driven out by the capitalists so they might end up as the next social
class. The proletariat. They re basically the working class and who survive on their wages. Conflict
within these classes are mainly because the capitalists would have so much money and the workers
would barely be making by. So the proletariats would rise up and there would be a revolution. It
related to this time period because it was a bit after the industrial revolution and that was what Karl
Marx was really focusing on. Nijole V. Benokraitis. (2012). SOC.(pages 14 15) Belmont,CA. Linda

Les Miserables And The Power Of One Comparison
In the movie Les Miserables, directed by Billie August and the movie The Power of One, directed by
John Avildsen, two different characters show many magnanimous characteristics. In these two
different movies, as society throws these characters obstacles, they manage to be tenacious, protective,
peaceful, ambitious, and active. In Les Miserables, the character Jean Valjean is illustrated as
honorable through his protectiveness, peacefulness, and being tenacious. For example, Jean shows his
protectiveness. He promises to protect the daughter, Cosette, of a woman he loved. Jean and Cosette
escape to Paris. Years later, Cosette finds out something suspicious with Jean: Cosette, you re right, I

For example, PK shows his ambitiousness when he goes to Gideon s town. PK wants to teach the
Africans English so they can teach their children English. He goes to talk to his professor: You taught
us that inclusion not exclusion is the key to survival, sir. How will [the Zulu] ever be included if they
can t read or write English? (Avildsen 11). PK shows his trait of ambition when he asks: How will [the
Zulu] ever be included if they can t read or write English? . PK has the strong desire to teach the
Africans English so they can be treated fairly. Soon after, PK shows the trait of activeness. PK s
professor gives him the okay to start the African school. PK is so excited, he goes to tell Maria:
[Gideon] asked us to start a school. The headmaster gave us the permission to use the study room. We
re starting tomorrow night! Will you join us? (Avildsen 13). PK s activeness in the African s lives is
shown when he says: We re starting tomorrow night! . PK is obviously very excited to start the school,
displaying his magnanimous character trait, activeness. PK s final character trait is being tenacious,
similar to Jean. The officials in South Africa do not like when whites and blacks do activities together.
PK teaching the Africans English caused many issues with the officials. One day, the officials burst
into the room PK was teaching in, and a fight broke out between the officials and the Africans. Maria
was struck by an official and died: Maria s death shattered me more than ever... I had no more will to
fight... I had to leave for Oxford tomorrow (Avildsen 17). Similar to Jean, PK holds tightly onto Maria
s love she gave him and he is upset: Maria s death shattered me more than ever... . PK shows the trait
of being tenacious when he says I had no more will to fight... . In all, PK is characterized as

Research shows that due to the greater frequency of PCI in various trials, Brilinta was showed to have
greater benefit over Plavix in NSTE ACS patients.
NSTE ACS blah blah and mention statistics and other sources. This research involving current
literature was conducted to determine if there is any difference in antiplatelet therapy with Plavix,
when compared to Brilinta. With this knowledge, providers can be properly informed about choosing
the best treatment for their patients.
Methods:
In order to conduct this research paper, access was gained into the University of Texas Rio Grande
Valley library website (http://www.utpa.edu/library). Under the heading of Articles and Databases ,
Pub Med was selected. Entering the key words Brilinta , NSTE ACS and Brilinta vs Plavix this search
was conducted. This search was conducted on several separate occasions. Over 350 articles were
returned with these key words mentioned in the title.
After the initial search, about 35 journal readings had to be read thoroughly and closely analyzed.
From which, 10 of these journal articles were deemed pertinent to this manuscript. These publications
were then saved, printed, and re analyzed for key information. All publications were chosen from
reputable sources via online and only pertinent information relating to this manuscript will be
discussed.

people China has many different way in which they are housed. From farm villages to gigantic cities
the Chinese all need a place to live. Like the other countries in this paper China is mostly rural
countryside where farmers grow everything from rice to wheat. With the exception of it s mountains
and hills, the overwhelming majority of Chinese settlements are rural compact villages. The formation
of these villages are caused by it water source, population and in earlier years, defense. Live in these

As factories and mining centers where developed, cities and towns were built around them. People
who live in cities usually live in large apartment buildings. There is good heath care, schools, but they
are generally very crowded. Large roadways and railroad systems also helped to spread urbanization
throughout the country. In China, because of communism, there are no classes. People are either poor
or wealthy, there is not much of a median. Government officials live in the bigger cities in large
estates. Today, China is on the cutting edge of architecture. Huge skyscrapers have been built and
other nations have been taking in what the Chinese have built. In earlier years China was the most
technologically advanced civilization in the world. Reminders of this era still stand today, like the
great wall and the emperors palace. Also, we can see reminders of this period in our own country for
example, the Chinese theater in Hollywood. Now China s style in decoration is a popular trend it s art
and luxurious nature. In conclusion, housing and the way people live, are very similar yet different
between the three countries China, India, and Africa. I believe the best way to learn about it is to
actually go there which I hope to do someday. Housing in India India has the second highest
population in the world, only surpassed by China. India s billion plus citizens live in huge cities

The invasion of the Crimea, and Donbass regions of Ukraine sent shock waves through European

(Friedman, NYT, 1991) However, as the newly independent nations of the near abroad (former Soviet
Republics) flexed their sovereignty for the first time, former servants of the Soviet Union felt their

this hegemony came to be seen as the natural order off things (Giles, K. Russian Roulette, 2016). For
such a world view, the 1991 dissolution of the Warsaw Pact was especially alarming. As former

these Russians saw the West s embrace of their former client states as an advancing military threat.

Thus, statistically higher occupancy percentage which the Ritz enjoys does not hold much importance
and is irrelevant in the long run.
However, when the researcher applied the quantitative technique to check the confidence interval for
ADR of Ritz Carlton at 98% interval it resulted in an upper limit of US$207 which raises the bar
US$40 when compared to Four Seasons figures for the last 3 years. Since the occupancy is same for
both the hotels, market potential reveals that there is great scope to improve the revenues as it is done
by Four Seasons. Higher occupancy is achieved due to demand in the market. Thus, reducing cost
would only lead to reduction in prices which seems to be unviable option. 1.4.2.2 Increasing Price
The researcher opines that by increasing prices a rise in the ADR can be achieved since it is a sum
total of room revenue multiplied by occupancy %. However, while the prices are increased the
existing guest may be resistance to pay the increased price with the same facilities provided by the
hotel.
Another potential issue with choosing this alternative of increasing prices would be the percentage by
which the price rises are raised for the product. Having used the quantitative techniques on the ADR
of Ritz Carlton found that a 9% increase in the ADR was considerably alike to present average of the
ADR. This means that an increase

Islam Is A Religion Based On The Oneness Of God
Islam is a religion based on the Oneness of God (tawhid), who is identified by His Arabic name, Allah.
Deepa Kumar starts off with the base the religion stands on, which is the belief that there is only one
God. This belief stands as the one of the five fundamentals of Islam known as the five pillars. This
pillars is known as the Shaha dah, as a Muslim (a follower of Islam) testifies to the oneness of God by
reciting There is no god but God followed by Muhammad is the messenger of God in Arabic. This two
part testification is the heart of Islam and is used as a source of identification for Muslims. In Islam,
Allah is the source of everything including both cosmic and human qualities (discussed later on). In
addition, the Divine Qualities of Allah is based on His description in the Quran through His Names
and Attributes. This includes that God is neither male nor female and has attributes that represent both
feminine and masculine properties (Nasr, Heart of Islam). Although Islam is a monolithic religion, it is
not a homogeneous religion. Islam consists of 1.57 billion followers and is widely practiced around
the world and consists of many branches within the two main denominations. The two main
denominations of Islam are Sunnism and Shi ism. Sunnism is known as a large majority within Islam
as it claims about 87% 90% of the Muslim population around the world (Kumar, Framing Islam). The

The association of fruits with cultured dairy products has endorsed healthy perception even more in
the consumer mind. As consumers connect both these foods with health and wellness, the 2categories
of fruits and cultured milk products are typical example of hybrid dairy products offering health,
flavour and convenience that will drive growth in coming years .Keeping in view the market trends,
incorporation of fruits in traditional fermented milk products not only aids in value addition and
product diversification but also helps in checking the post harvest losses and hence economic loss. It
may also enhance the profitability of milk and fruit producers as well as

Charlotte Beers Case Study Essay
1. What is Charlotte Beers trying to accomplish as CEO of O M Worldwide?
Charlotte Beers took over as the CEO of O M in 1991. When she took over as the CEO, the company
had lost some of its major accounts including American Express (its most successful account) and the
company s revenues had declined sharply. The press was calling it Beleaguered and predicting that
there was no hope for survival. O M had grown rapidly in the 1980 s and now had 7000 employees
across 270 offices worldwide.
Beers wants to build on the legacy left behind by David Ogilvy since she feels that the company has
all the right ingredients but is just not using its core strengths (the world wide offices and the creative
people).

But Gertsner felt otherwise, he felt that the strength of the company lay in being big. He felt that IBM
just needed to do the same stuff that they were doing, only better. But he refrained from articulating
this because of the impact it would have on staff morale.
The vision was very customer focused. The customers loved the vision and what it would entail for
their business. They bought into the vision readily and were very enthusiastic about it. Charlotte had
taken over the responsibility of communicating with clients while the other managers handled internal
communication. Since the original vision of brand stewardship was Charlotte s, I believe she did a
better job of it than the other managers.
This led to customers coming forward asking for brand audits even before the employees had a clear
idea of the vision. This might have hurt staff morale; the customers knew more about their company s
vision than they themselves did.
3. Evaluate the process by which Beers and her team created the vision
Beers first identified the people who were most passionate about change. She had a brainstorming
session with them to understand the key change areas. After the meeting, the team reverted back with
list of to do items, which was then shortened to come up with the key focus areas for 1993. These key
strategies were linked to the emerging vision by the declaration The purpose of our business is to build
our clients

A Report On Mobile Technology
Mobility is no longer optional in today s world; most enterprises are adopting mobile first strategies to
provide real time information and interactivity to consumers or employees on the go. Enterprise
mobility has seen increased popularity in the last few years, bringing in with it the growing trend of
Bring your own device (BYOD). While BYOD has a host of merits like increased productivity, better
connectivity and less expenditure for enterprises, but there are security risks involved. This is where
mobile management comes into the picture. It is generally an administrative system and service that is
used to encrypt and lock the device, and enforce miscellaneous other BYOD policies. Schneider
Electric BYOD policy is implemented through Airwatch Mobile Device Management (MDM).
Although BYOD adoption is continuously increasing, only 1 percent of Schneider Electric employees
have opted for BYOD enrollment on their personal mobile devices until now. The major factors
contributing to low adoption of BYOD are the concerns and uncertainties around user activity
tracking, logging and potential loss or leakage of personal data. Moreover, the current BYOD
deployment does not support a large variety of popular mobile devices. Due to this, the adoption and
usage of mobile applications via the Internal App Store is also quite low. However, the current BYOD
program is geared towards addressing the enterprise data security concerns, which obviously has
merits, and cannot be overlooked

The Battle Of Bull Run
The Battle of Bull Run was one of the first major battles in the United States Civil War. The battle
took place on July 21st, 1861 just twenty five miles southwest of Washington D.C., which was also
the center of the Union Government. This battle also convinced the Lincoln administration and the
North that the Civil War would last longer than they expected and would be consisting of bloodier
fights costing many more lives. The US Civil War is known as the second most deadly war America
has ever experienced (behind World War II). The leading commanders of the Battle of Bull Run were
General Irvin McDowell, from the Union, and Brigadier General P.G.T. Beauregard and General
Joseph E. Johnston, from the Confederacy. Neither of the commanding generals from North nor South
was remotely ready for the conditions and the casualties their armies would endure in this war. The
most important thing they did not know was that the Battle of Bull Run was this battle would help
start the deadliest war the US has ever experienced. The events that led up to the Civil War were
disagreements about political beliefs and most importantly, slavery. Even though many historians want
to believe that slavery was not the main cause, other historians want to believe that the causes were
many other little factors. For example, principle of State s Rights, and taxation were the two other
historians believed was the cause. The Western states sought to preserve the Union as one

Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura ( Itp )
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)
The first official report on Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura was written by Paul Gottlieb
Werlhof in 1735. As such, the name Werlhof s disease was used when referring to Idiopathic
Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) until the early 19th century when scientists linked purpura with
abnormalities in the platelet count. In 1916 Paul Kaznelson made a report of the successful response
on a young woman who had undergone a splenectomy in treating the ITP disease, this method was use
until 1950 s after which steroid therapy was introduced. (Newland, sec. 1)
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura is also known as, primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura,

Accused Amendments
Rights of the Accused
In the amendments there are four that protect people who have been accused for a crime or arrested
for a crime. These are the fourth, fifth, sixth, and the eighth amendments that give specifics on how
the process should go and how the arrested person is to go through it. In the amendment they even say
that the police must read you your rights when they arrest you, and if they don t they can get in
trouble.
Before a person is arrested the police usually need a probable cause to arrest them, or a solid reason to
arrest someone. The same goes with the police coming to your house to search it, they need a warrant,
or a signed piece of paper signed by a judge. In order to get this paper they need proper evidence or

Globalization, Glt1, Task 1 Essays
Globalization Western Governors University Globalization refers to the development of an integrated
world economy, exchange of cultural views, thoughts, and products (Wikipedia, 2013). Pologeorgis
(2012) states that, essentially globalization began with the exploration and settlement of new lands.
Communication and transportation advances have aided in this process. Two non Western countries
that have been impacted by globalization are India and China. India opened its doors to globalization
during the nineteen nineties following an economic crisis in which the country almost defaulted on
loans (Balakrishnan, n.d.). Before globalization India purposely isolated itself from world markets and

Western culture has had an impact on traditional Chinese society. The West s impact can be seen in the
advertisement of Western products, acceptance of Western business, and change of thought to accept
Western ideals. Examples of this include the prevalence of foreign companies in the country like
McDonalds, Nike, and Marriott. A change in ideals was expressed by Jaffe (2012) who wrote that
while living in China she noticed that foreign advertisements often featured Western models. Curious
about this she asked her Chinese friends about it. They explained that by Chinese standards big eyes,
fair skin, and a pronounced nose was thought to be beautiful. Western influence in China seems to
only be influencing major cities with villages only being influenced by globalization when it is forced
upon them like it was during the 2008 Olympics when one town was displaced so that Olympic
facilities could be built (Ames, n.d.). Some would also suggest that the influence of Western media
through the use of the internet, or American media had led to a loss of their traditional language as the
people begin to speak chi English (Chang, n.d.). From all of this is plain to see that globalization can
have positive and negative effects upon a society, but a country that refuses to open its doors to the
world face economic stagnation and poverty for its people. Those

Victorian Doubt in God: Alfred Tennyson s In Memoriam nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;
nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; When I first got this assignment I racked my brain for a topic that would interest me
as well as something I could learn from. When I came across Alfred Lord Tennyson it sparked my
interest and as I read on I decided that I would write about him. My next decision was to pick one of
his poems to research. I finally chose In Memoriam I read the background on it and it interested me. In
Memoriam is very long so I m only going to discuss some it. But I want to begin by discussing the

nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; In a characteristically Victorian manner,
Tennyson combines a deep interest in contemporary science with an unorthodox, even idiosyncratic,
Christian belief. In Memoriam, which he wrote between 1833 and 1850 contains his most important
confrontations with contemporary science, particularly with geology and biology. Drawing upon
Charles Lyell s Principles of Geology (1830 1833), Tennyson anticipated Darwinian conceptions of
evolution and their implications, such the extinction of entire species, including man. nbsp; nbsp;
nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; As Voltaire once said, If God did not exist, it would
have been necessary to invent him. ; Human beings hunger for an understanding of why things are as
they are. Organized religion had simply been bested in performing that function by the natural
sciences. Consequently, its popularity dropped considerably. Such an understanding had prompted
Comte s philosophy of positivism, which asserted that mankind, was progressing from a point when it
would rely on science for understanding instead of superstition ;. In Memoriam presents the long
struggle of a man trying to make sense of a world and a God that has taken his friend. In the process
the concept of typology incorporates evolutionary

King Arthur Essay
King Arthur Character Analysis
Although King Arthur is one of the most well known figures in the world, his true identity remains a
mystery. Attempts to identify the historical Arthur have been unsuccessful, since he is largely a
product of fiction. Most historians, though, agree that the real Arthur was probably a battle leader of
the Britons against the Anglo Saxons in the sixthth century. In literature, King Arthur s character is
unique and ever changing, taking on a different face in every work. There is never a clearly definitive
picture that identifies Arthur s character. It is therefore necessary to look at a few different sources to
get better insight into the character of Arthur, the once and future king. ... Show more content on

This work contains all of the most famous Arthurian elements such as the Sword in the Stone, the
magical Merlin, and the love affair between Lancelot and Guinevere. But it was Wace, who using
Geoffrey s work was first to mention Arthur s Round Table and amplify the belief in Arthur s return
from Avilon, or the Isle of Avalon.
GRAPH
King Arthur s character has many faces. He is shown to be kind, wise and generous on one hand, yet
at the same time, he can be seen as a weak king who is stubborn, childish, and unable to make wise
decisions for himself or for the good of the court. He is described by Nennius as a powerful warrior,
who is able to personally slay 960 men in one charge. Wace shows him possessing leadership qualities
as he establishes the Round Table to ensure that justice and peace prevail. In Celtic legends, Arthur is
a supernatural hero who battles giants, monsters, and witches. He kills the Demon Cat of Losanne and
hunts the boar Twrch Truyth driving him into the sea. (Camelot and Arthurian Legend: Arthur online

Some literary work depicts Arthur as an ideal Christian hero and as among God s elect. Young Arthur
is able to withdraw the sword from the stone because he has been chosen by God to be the next king.
Officers in the Roman army carried shields bearing portraits of their emperors. Geoffrey describes
Arthur having a shield with the likeness of

Relationship Between The Cold War And Global White Supremacy
The relationship between the Cold War and global white supremacy is clear from Borstelmann s
writing. He demonstrates how the improvement of race relations both domestic and foreign were a
necessity. If the U.S. did not fix how potential allies (specifically all post colonial countries) viewed
the U.S., communism was sure to spread. Although Latham does not identify race as a reason for
modernization both Latham and Borstelmann show that Aligning with these posts countries was
necessary to prevent communism from becoming the primary economic system across the globe.
Although Americas primary agenda was to put a cease to the ascension of Communism during the
Cold War; results of such efforts lead to a decline in global white supremacy through empowering
local leaders, changing legislation, and an increase in economic opportunities for minorities. Although
modernization was not perfect there were many countries that benefited from U.S. help. In fact
countries such as India, Ghana, and Egypt embraced the help of the U.S. America s assistance. With
all three countries U.S. s support in empowering their economic growth was successful. Although
modernizations was to help these underdeveloped countries the primary gaol of the U.S. is to decimate
the prevalence of communism. American policy makers for foreign affairs viewed many postcolonial
leaders as politically immature and unprepared for self determination, they exercised little restraint in
trying to undermine governments

they found a bag of letters and addresses but with no stamp. They also found a wooden paddle that the

Addressing Diversity In Criminal Justice Research Paper
Addressing Diversity in Criminal Justice Policies
Dolores Jackson Williams
Colorado Technical University First I had to understand what are Khimar and its religious
significance; hijab is used to describe head covering. The wearing of this attire is a personal choice for
some and a religious one for others. In Arabic the word means cover, and according to the Quran, it is
to cover their adornment, in other words only show what is normally shown (Quran Islam.org, 2001).
The increase in Civil rights complaints went from approximately 366 during 2000 to over 2400 in
2006, increasing by almost 700%. Approximately 70% of Muslim women that wore the hijab reported

The CCR and CCD Contain Some of the Same Standard Rules Essay
One of the demands in healthcare today is to have the ability to allow healthcare organizations to
exchange patient health related information with other healthcare organizations. This was made
possible by the creation of the electronic health record (EHR), electronic medical record (EMR) and
personal health record (PHR). The EHR, PHR and the EMR allowed for patient s paper medical charts
into transformed into electronic charts. This allowed for a better way to organize the information that

This allows for the transmission of information to happen either electronically or paper based.
Therefore patients can either carry their information manually to the receiving physician, especially
for the receiving physicians that do not have the current or compatible technology to transfer
documents accurately (Health, 2009). With the current technologies, most documents are transferred
electronically. In order for this to happen, a structure electronic format must be created. Therefore,
CCR is a XML based standard that is used for the exchange of clinical data (Health, 2009). The CCR
format must adhere to a strict XML schema and accompanied by implementation guide required to
support the standards compliant interoperability (E31.25, 2012). The XML scheme creates flexibility
for the transmission and view of the CCR in many ways, such as in a web browser, Health Level
7(HL7) messaging, secured emails, PDF files, HTML files and word documents. This XML schema
also makes it possible for the interchange of data with electronic healthcare records (EHR) with CCR
data (E31.25, 2012). However, one problem the CCR faces is that it cannot send free text and is not
acceptable by all system (Health, 2009). Therefore, the CCR opened doors for the creations of
Continuity of CARE Document (CCD). Another organization that creates standards for the creation of
healthcare systems is Health Seven 7 (HL7)

The Mosque is also known as the Mezquita, the Mosque Cathedral of Córdoba, or the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady. The mosque is considered one of the monumental jewels of Islamic civilization. In addition, it is one of the largest mosques in the entire world measuring about 24,000 square meters. The mosque was not all built at once, its construction lasted from 784 AD to 987 AD. First, Emir Abd ar RahmanI began the construction of the mosque in the year 784, on a site that was originally home to Roman temple of Janus and Visigothic church of St Vincent. In the years 822 AD to 852 AD, Abd ar Rahman II added an arm bone of Prophet Mohammed, an original copy of Quran, and increased the size of the Mosque. Then, Abd ar Rahman III added a new minaret in the beginning of 9th century. Following Abd ar Rahman III, Al Hakam II magnified the mosque and enhanced the mihrab in the year 961. Finally, Al Mansur Ibn Abi Aamir enlarged it further through the addition of the orange tree courtyard and the outer aisles in the year 987. As a result, this mosque turned Cordoba into a kind of paradise on earth where the Mosque symbolizes heaven. At its zenith, this mosque was the center of western Islam. Ritual In The Lottery The traditions and the ritual of The Lottery in Shirley Jackson s story seems to be just as old as the town itself, specifically since most of the residents don t recall any of the old rituals, even old man Warner, who is celebrating his 77th lottery. By the means of this, they are old fashioned in some ways and fixed in traditions of superstitions that seemed to involve human sacrifice. The village lottery culminates in a violent murder each year. A bizarre that suggests how dangerous rituals can be when people follow it blindly. Before we know what kind of lottery they are conducting, the villagers and their preparations seem harmless. They have selected a relatively pathetic man to run the lottery, and children run around gathering stones in the town square. In The Lottery by Shirley Jackson, Psychoanalytic theory helps the reader come to the conclusion that the townspeople are included in an act of conspiracy. This conclusion is significant because of the refusal of the townspeople to abandon tradition and question the lottery ritual suggests the negative consequences of blindly following evil rituals, the randomness of persecution, and the townspeople are governed by mob psychology and abandon their reason to act out with great cruelty. He got this from the idea of capitalism, where he saw industrial society composed of three social classes. The first class would be the Capitalists, which are the owners of factories or basically anyone who owns a company that produces a lot of wealth. The next class would be the petit bourgeoisie, which are below the capitalists. They own their own company but can be driven out by the capitalists so they might end up as the next social class. The proletariat. They re basically the working class and who survive on their wages. Conflict within these classes are mainly because the capitalists would have so much money and the workers would barely be making by. So the proletariats would rise up and there would be a revolution. • 22. Charlotte Beers Case Study Essay 1. What is Charlotte Beers trying to accomplish as CEO of O M Worldwide? Charlotte Beers took over as the CEO of O M in 1991. When she took over as the CEO, the company had lost some of its major accounts including American Express (its most successful account) and the company s revenues had declined sharply. The press was calling it Beleaguered and predicting that there was no hope for survival. O M had grown rapidly in the 1980 s and now had 7000 employees across 270 offices worldwide. He felt that IBM just needed to do the same stuff that they were doing, only better. But he refrained from articulating this because of the impact it would have on staff morale. The vision was very customer focused. The customers loved the vision and what it would entail for their business. They bought into the vision readily and were very enthusiastic about it. Charlotte had taken over the responsibility of communicating with clients while the other managers handled internal communication. Since the original vision of brand stewardship was Charlotte s, I believe she did a better job of it than the other managers. This led to customers coming forward asking for brand audits even before the employees had a clear idea of the vision. This might have hurt staff morale; the customers knew more about their company s vision than they themselves did. 3. Evaluate the process by which Beers and her team created the vision Beers first identified the people who were most passionate about change. She had a brainstorming session with them to understand the key change areas. After the meeting, the team reverted back with list of to do items, which was then shortened to come up with the key focus areas for 1993. These key strategies were linked to the emerging vision by the declaration The purpose of our business is to build our clients ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. A Report On Mobile Technology Mobility is no longer optional in today s world; most enterprises are adopting mobile first strategies to provide real time information and interactivity to consumers or employees on the go. Enterprise mobility has seen increased popularity in the last few years, bringing in with it the growing trend of Bring your own device (BYOD). While BYOD has a host of merits like increased productivity, better connectivity and less expenditure for enterprises, but there are security risks involved. This is where mobile management comes into the picture. It is generally an administrative system and service that is used to encrypt and lock the device, and enforce miscellaneous other BYOD policies. Schneider Electric BYOD policy is implemented through Airwatch Mobile Device Management (MDM). Although BYOD adoption is continuously increasing, only 1 percent of Schneider Electric employees have opted for BYOD enrollment on their personal mobile devices until now. The major factors contributing to low adoption of BYOD are the concerns and uncertainties around user activity tracking, logging and potential loss or leakage of personal data. Moreover, the current BYOD deployment does not support a large variety of popular mobile devices. Due to this, the adoption and usage of mobile applications via the Internal App Store is also quite low. However, the current BYOD program is geared towards addressing the enterprise data security concerns, which obviously has merits, and cannot be overlooked ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Western culture has had an impact on traditional Chinese society. The West s impact can be seen in the advertisement of Western products, acceptance of Western business, and change of thought to accept Western ideals. Examples of this include the prevalence of foreign companies in the country like McDonalds, Nike, and Marriott. A change in ideals was expressed by Jaffe (2012) who wrote that while living in China she noticed that foreign advertisements often featured Western models. Curious about this she asked her Chinese friends about it. They explained that by Chinese standards big eyes, fair skin, and a pronounced nose was thought to be beautiful. Western influence in China seems to only be influencing major cities with villages only being influenced by globalization when it is forced upon them like it was during the 2008 Olympics when one town was displaced so that Olympic facilities could be built (Ames, n.d.). Some would also suggest that the influence of Western media through the use of the internet, or American media had led to a loss of their traditional language as the people begin to speak chi English (Chang, n.d.). He demonstrates how the improvement of race relations both domestic and foreign were a necessity. If the U.S. did not fix how potential allies (specifically all post colonial countries) viewed the U.S., communism was sure to spread. Although Latham does not identify race as a reason for modernization both Latham and Borstelmann show that Aligning with these posts countries was necessary to prevent communism from becoming the primary economic system across the globe. Although Americas primary agenda was to put a cease to the ascension of Communism during the Cold War; results of such efforts lead to a decline in global white supremacy through empowering local leaders, changing legislation, and an increase in economic opportunities for minorities. Although modernization was not perfect there were many countries that benefited from U.S. help. In fact countries such as India, Ghana, and Egypt embraced the help of the U.S. America s assistance.
