Grundy defines curriculum as a program of activities designed by teachers and pupils to help pupils attain educational and school objectives. A good curriculum is continuously evolving and based on the needs of students and society. It is developed democratically through the efforts of knowledgeable individuals and groups in the community and results from long-term planning, management, evaluation and development. A good curriculum provides a logical sequence of subjects, administrative flexibility, and addresses the complex details of instructional tools, student-teacher relationships, and health and community services.

Teachers use curricula when trying to see what to teach to students and when, as well as what the rubrics should be, what kind of worksheets and teacher worksheets they should make, among other things.
It is actually up to the teachers themselves how these rubrics should be made, how these worksheets should be made and taught; it's all up to the teachers.
It is very helpful in understanding the construction of curriculum for school level for both science and math.
if you are teacher it is helpful in preparing the content of teaching and also helpful for improving teachimg learning process

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
